I've had a rough go of it the last few weeks. All previous donations have been blessings from angels like you, helping my family stay at our motel in South Jersey.

I was hospitalized recently and unable to work or raise money to support my mom and sister.

It feels very humbling, and even a bit sad, to be asking for more shares, donations and prayers.

But we have nowhere else to turn until one of the many jobs I've applied to follows up with me.

Just like before, even reading our story is helpful.

At this point, gender nonconformity is about what the person says their experience is.

If a woman with a beard or a man with lipstick and a mustache says they're gender nonconforming, then they are! If a woman with short hair or a man with long hair says they aren't, they aren't! And that's not even getting into the awesome nonbinary, abinary, genderqueer, intersex, and general genderfuckery that may both be and not be conforming.

So much of what is even considered gender conforming or gender nonconforming is based on a world of exclusion. When we start defining one's conformity with whether they fit into white cishetero perisex standards or not, we play into the idea that there's only a very narrow window of what is considered worthy of time and thought.

I hate to say this, but I think so many of the problems with Stranger Things (not all but a lot) could have been avoided if they had a smaller cast. It grew so much each season to the point where important characters and their storylines were getting neglected just because they have so much to focus on that it just didn't fit

Hello! This server is for those who are looking for creative community, whether you are already an artist or someone who is looking to learn a new skill.

The way some groups of fellow marginalized people will genuinely think it’s okay to imagine themselves as The Most Oppressed Ever is awful. Theories and ideas I otherwise thoroughly support will be soured for me by finding out they think their oppression is objectively “worse” than that of other marginalized groups. We can discuss how marginalized groups’ intersectional experiences are different and how they can support one another. We should not be weighing racism vs. misogyny vs. ableism vs. anything else. Looking at “if [x group] were liberated everyone would be” and “[y oppression] is the root of all evils in the world” sentiments which I have seen almost word for word.

Growing up a social chameleon and subscribing to the model minority myth of if you are what they want you to be you will be loved and believing in it wholeheartedly even unto and after death but it's only when you see the same cycle perpetuated in a child that you realize just how fucked up it is. You can't save yourself, but maybe you can save someone else
