George, the one time he visited before dissapearing from the SMP completely, received a Phlox; the flower has alot of meaning connected to love, but you merely gave it to him because it also means "sweet dreams", something he has a lot of

Sapnap is always attracted to one flower in particular, one that you always gift him, the Lily of the Valley; the flowers means pain and loss, and between Dream, George, Karl and Quackity, you weren't surprised by this choice of "attraction"

Bad always liked to buy Orange Lilies from you; a very ironic choice, considering the prideful and hateful meaning

You once gifted Skeppy a flower, after hearing about his constant quarells with Bad, a Chrysanthemums; as a way of comforting him for the loss of his once close friend

Quackity liked the Petunia's a lot, and always bought tons of them to put in his casino; it seems like the anger he held also translated into the flowers he liked

A bouquet of Periwinkle, Lilac and Pheasant's eye always waited for Karl at your shop; all three of them holding a meaning regarding memories

After the destruction of L'manburg, and the death of Wilbur, you threw a flower in his memory in the n9w destroyed Nation, a Yellow Rose; just as a reminder of how infedel he was to the people closest to him

Phil always liked to buy Violets from you, most of the time they were for his wife; they really showed how tranquil the couple were

While I do totaly understand how Fitz's reply to Nettle in their ride from Jaamphe in Fool's Assassin is seen as just a silly attempt to deny queerness , there is actually a lot to analyse about it!

When you dissect it it actually shows Fitz's failure to both bridge the gap separate his and Beloved's relationship with/from queerness, and the Six Duchies' understanding of it.

Let me explain.

The view in the Six Duchies on queer relationships* seems to be that they are Scandelous relationships that are purely sexual.

The homophobia we see from the characters shows that: When Starling was insulting Fitz she said that she was sure he whispered Molly's name while Lord Golden was fucking him; when Dutiful asked Fitz if he and Lord Golden were sleeping together, but not if they were in a relationship; when Chade told Fitz he knew he didnt sleep with men; Lant saying he was afraid when he first met Fitz because he heard rumers Tom Badgerlock also desired men.

Even during The Quarell Fitz talked about that same sexual aspect, saying he would never want to sleep with the Fool.

When Nettle asked him about his and Lord Golden's relationship, and if the rumors about them were true, she brought back that old idea of the Scandelous, purely sexual nature of queer relationships.

And that wasn't what Fitz and Beloved's relationship was.

Whether or not you interprit Fitz being secualy attracted to Beloved, their relationship was not what the Six Duchies' idea of queer relationships was. It was an emotional connection that their relationship was built on, not a purely sexual one with no care beyond sexual desire.

Which is why Fitz said there was nothing "improper" about their bond. Why Fitz said that what they had wen far beyond that.

Fitz was still unable to separate the idea of being in a relationship with Beloved with that view of queerness (he almost did, by the end of Fool's Fate, but whatever progress he made was undone by him repressing his love for Beloved all those years apart. Admitting he loved Beloved would have meant he was not able to pretend he got the Happy Ending he so desprately clung to, buts thats a whole other post).

But thats just the part about him not being able to seprate queer relationships from the view on them in the Six Duchies. Because of those views, he doesn't know how to recognise his feellings for Beloved (and other men) as what they are.

When Riddle told him how he remembered that he and Beloved were "very close" Fitz didn't oject like he has done with the acusations/questions that were related to the supposed sexual nature of his relationship with Lord Golden. He hadn't replied with anything, but mentioned that his silence said more than any thing he could have said himself.

When meeting with Carson, Fitz immidietly mentions how he felt a "feelling that sometimes comes of insant connection, a deep friendship that could have been".

Lets dissect that aswell, since I already put this under a readmore and dont care about how long this post gets. (@tragediegh and I talk about this quote every couple of days so everything I say here is recicled from our dms lol)

"Instant connection, a deep friendship that could have been," implies that the relationship Fitz is thinking he would have is very close, but it is not based on an actual expirience with that person, rather their first impression on Fitz - their vibe and how they look (interesting how Fitz says it about Carson, a gay man).

"That sometimes comes" shows that it is an - if not a common one - an occurence that happened multiple times.

This sounds like someone describing a crush/romantic atraction without knowing that what they are feelling is that!

The reason Fitz describes it as a "deep friendship" and "instant connection" and not "romantic feellings towards men" is because how he still view queer relationships from that homophobic view the Six Duchies have, and because of that is unable to connect his feellings towards men (amd beloved) to what they are.

There are unlimited reasons to fight if you’re petty enough. And they both were 🤷🏻‍♀️

TY and DY were hoping to scare them with this idea. They thought that such an extreme scenario would make them reconsider and try to figure things out. But part of them feared that Lele and his mate were a lost cause and if this didn’t make them fix things then sadly a separation would be necessary. Doyoung was a bit more pessimistic, while Taeyong was sure that the young couple would handle things well, so you can imagine his heart breaking when he got a call from Chenle’s mate telling him she wanted to proceed with the separation.

As for their hobbies, they had a very weird dynamic in which they tried to do most things separately, but would always eat and sleep together. After the love confession they awkwardly started to share more experiences, like little movie nights and walks to the beach. The biggest step was probably when they started going on little trips together.

The girls were all smiling as they caught a glimpse of you off-set, a blush spreading across Minjeong’s cheeks when you winked at her. “A soloist that is currently topping the charts, it’s Y/n!”

You skipped into the frame, bowing at the hosts and the girls. You took your spot next to Minjeong, looking over at her with a light smile. To which she nudged you, blood rushing to the tips of her ears. “Ah Winter, are you blushing?” Kwanghee asked, a teasing look on his face. Your girlfriend denied with a shake of her head, looking down to the floor shyly.

“It’s not often we get a couple on this show,” Eunhyuk said, gesturing between you and Minjeong. Everyone cooed at how embarrassed your both were, it being the first time you’d been on a show together. “Okay, enough of that. It’s time to get into the first game!” Kwanghee cheered.

“The first segment of today will be Hug Me,” they said. “So each of you will take turns picking a random paper, and you must hug the person it relates to the most. What’s on the paper will be kept a secret until someone can guess what it is,” the hosts explained. Everyone nodded in understanding, looking towards the selection of coloured papers.

“We’ll have Y/n go first,” Eunhyuk proposed. You stood up, making your way over to the papers. You eyed them all curiously, carefully considering your choice. “I’ll pick the red one,” you said aloud, reaching for it. Making sure to not reveal what the paper said, you opened it. ‘The one that makes you laugh the most,’ it read, making you hum.

“It seems that they got a tricky one.” You turned to inspect every member closely, unsure of who to choose. Walking behind them you said, “I’ve made my decision.” Leaning forwards, you tentatively hugged Yizhuo. “Me?” Said girl called out confused, wondering what it could possibly be.

You sat back down in your seat, watching as chaos erupted, while they tried to guess what the paper said. “Best vocals?” Jimin asked, earning a shake of the head from you. It continued on like that for a few minutes, with lots of bickering. It wasn’t until Ningning made her iconic meme face, that you burst out laughing, that being one of the main reasons you picked her.

“Oh, I think I know,” Aeri’s hand shot up in the air. “She’s the funniest!” You dramatically paused, opening your mouth to say something. “Correct!” You declared, making everyone cheer. Your girlfriend however, wasn’t so happy about this. Checking the paper, the host read it out, making Minjeong pout. “I thought I made you laugh the most,” she whined. The rest all laugh at the sudden mood change, watching you two interact.

“Jagiya you are hilarious, and you never fail to make me laugh. However, Ningning’s meme face is just too hard to resist.” You explained, patting her head. She smacked your hand away, turning to face the front once more. “Ah, couples quarrels,” Kwanghee sighed. “How about we let Winter-ssi choose next then,” Eunhyuk suggested. Mentioned girl jumping to her feet, choosing the first paper she touched.

‘Who annoys you the most?’ The question said, giving her the perfect opportunity to take revenge. She skipped over to you happily, not wasting a second before hugging you. “It must be a good one, she chose right away,” Giselle spoke, tilting her head in thought. You smiled brightly, hoping that she’d picked something good.

“Your favourite?” You asked, smiling smugly. The smirk was whipped off your face when she scoffed, denying. “How can you be so sure it's a good one?” She asked rhetorically, making you pout. “So it must be a bad one then,” Jimin said. That then started a flurry of unintentional insults thrown your way, though you knew it was all good-natured. “This game is brutal,” you said to yourself, leaving the guessing to them.

“Is it because they annoy you,” Yizhou asked innocently. Minjeong clapped her hand in approval as she confirmed that was the answer. You gasped, looking at your girlfriend, offended by her choice. “Yah,” you complained, crossing your arms over your chest as you huffed.

“Okay, we can’t have you two fighting, so let’s have you apologise to each other.” The hosts set you up face-to-face, instructing you to make up. “I’m sorry for not picking you as the funniest,” you said, giving her your best puppy eyes. This had her melting, as she fidgeted nervously. “Saranghae,” you made a heart with your hands. Heat rose to both of your cheeks at that, Minjeong squealing as she smacked your arm.

“I’m sorry for saying you were annoying,” she mumbled shyly. “And?” You encouraged her. “Nado saranghae,” she whispered, giving you a quick hug. The rest of the segment continues on with many laughs, everyone having fun. You and Minjeong’s hands intertwined secretly behind your backs, catching the other staring every now and then. Your heart pounding whenever she looked into your eyes, showing off her sweet smile and cute dimples.

the one rule darcy made clear to all the single guys was how off-limits you were. and it was pretty easy, up until you accidentally called jt when you were drunk, asking for a ride home from the bar.

after that drunken phone call, everything changed. your entire relationship changed from purely platonic to purely romantic.

so, you decided from the moment things were confirmed, you would keep it a secret from your brother. you didn't want to, but he would go all "protective over-brother" and you didn't really want jt to get hurt in the crossfire of a sibling quarel.

Beidou is a frank, honest speaker, it's the reason why Ningguang trusts her and they are friends but it could never become romantic in nature. She says she's good friends with Ganyu but she stays away because it would be bad for her job and reputation to associate with her so they are secretly friends, despite you this she tells you this honestly and doesn't lie about it. Just tells you to hush. In similar fashion, Ganyu gets mad at the people in Yujing Terrace for badmouthing the Crux Fleet. The Crux Fleet that Beidou built from its roots whose people she cares so much about that she adopts one of their kids when the parents who were members of her fleet died on an expedition. The kid don't even say that his parents were in the Alcor (the ship Beidou is on, her flagship that she spends the most time on).

It was even further confirmed by Kazuha's line about her- she wouldn't have ever helped out the resistance without Kazuha's blessing/agreement, even if helping out the common people is one of her defining motivations- ("I've been through some rough times. When I was a child we had little money, so nothing to eat, and lived for many years by stealing off people's fruit trees. Even after I got my own ship, I was cast out by pompous merchants, but me telling you such stories are merely for your own amusement. I have no intention of making you live through it too" -Beidou's Friendship V line, "You wanna know why I help the common fold? Why not? Everyone has their low-points in life. I don't really do anything other than steer those who are truly lost towards a brighter future." -About Beidou IV) and with all these things about the fleet, the people in Yujing Terrace badmouth her and her crew. Do you think Beidou would stand for badmouthing her crew? Ningguang doesn't say anything about this gossip nor does she dispell them, when Keqing says that despite her rule breaking, the reason people badmouth her is because Beidou rubs people the wrong way.

You could say that Ningguang turned a blind eye because Beidou was doing some of the illegal things out of altruism but, romantic Beiguang could never work from the issues listed. Especially since there were already rumors that Beidou is a pawn for the liyue qixing that she has repeatedly tried to disprove. I'd much rather ship Beidou with Furong, the NPC in her ship who actually has feelings for her, who respects her and yet chooses not to say anything because of being in the closet and having feelings for her captain/boss, or Ganyu who actually gets mad about the Crux getting badmouthed on account of being secretly friends with Beidou.

Even in Moonchase Festival, Beidou was still drawing a line in the sand between her and Ningguang and having seen what mihoyo would write if they intended for 2 lesbians or gays to be a couple even if onesided (refer to Xingqiu in the same event or in honkai, Kallen/Sakura and Kiana/Mei who explicitly express their feelings who don't say I love you but then hold hands, live together for 4+ years, say being with their s/o gives them the strength of a hundred people, that depending on EN/JP/CN language the world means nothing without the other/that compared to the world the other is much more important/that if they had to choose between the other and the world they'd choose the other.), a frank speaker like Beidou would've said something more positive if they were meant to be read as such.
