Le Audi elettriche vendute nel mondo nei primi 9 mesi del 2023 sono state 123mila

Risultato positivo di Audi per la vendita di auto elettriche nei primi 9 mesi. Un modello che per incrementare il suo appeal, nei giorni scorsi ha beneficiato di un aggiornamento in termini di ottimizzazione della chimica della batteria da 82 chilowattora (77 quelli realmente utilizzabili), con vantaggi per l’autonomia misurata sul ciclo WLTP cresciuta di 22 chilometri (ora fino a 562). Migliorata anche la potenza di ricarica in corrente continua (175 chilowatt) che consente di passare dal 10 all’80% di energia nelle batterie in 28 minuti. Interventi anche su sterzo, taratura delle sospensioni e debutto del cambio di corsia assistito dall’intelligenza artificiale della vettura. Listino da 59.800 euro. Tutto in attesa della inedita piattaforma PPE (Premium Platform Electric) pensata e realizzata solo per le elettriche e della nuova generazione dell’architettura elettronica E3: da quel momento si farà sul serio e a Ingolstadt proveranno a cavalcare le onde più alte del mercato a sola batteria, in particolare negli Stati Uniti e in Cina. A patto però di avere la tavola giusta che a Ingolstadt sono sicuri possa essere la nuova Q6 e-tron attesa per il 2024, la prima del marchio ad adottare la PPE. «Viviamo nell’era più entusiasmante di sempre per il design automotive. Il momento giusto per le menti coraggiose e creative per porsi domande inusuali e abbandonare i sentieri battuti elaborando risposte inedite», ha dichiarato Marc Lichte, responsabile del design Audi. Un’uscita dalla zona di comfort che trova la prima applicazione concreta proprio sulla nuova Q6 e-tron elettrica sviluppata a partire dagli interni sui quali poi è stato creato l’abito esterno.Non è un caso allora che finora è stato svelato integralmente solo l’abitacolo: il Suv a sole batterie potrà contare su una digitalizzazione spinta all’estremo, almeno per i tempi di oggi, con due display (anche il passeggero ne ha uno più piccolo di fronte a sé), intrattenimento e un insieme di contenuti multimediali personalizzati che la Casa tedesca definisce “un palcoscenico digitale”. Grande la superficie vetrata del parabrezza, una finestra verso il mondo che fuori scorre silenziosamente e a zero emissioni.Una visione idilliaca interrotta solo dalle indicazioni del navigatore e dalle informazioni dell’auto che vengono proiettate davanti agli occhi del guidatore grazie alla Realtà Aumentata. Difficile, se non impossibile, sbagliare strada. Plastica ridotta al minimo e un rivestimento morbido al tatto che corre ovunque, quasi a voler abbracciare gli occupati come un plaid in una domenica piovosa. Autonomia prevista di circa 600 chilometri.  La Q6 e-tron è uno dei 20 nuovi modelli che Audi lancerà entro il 2025, metà dei quali elettrici. Un’offensiva che nei mesi scorsi era stata definita dai tedeschi come «la più grande iniziativa di mercato della nostra storia». Tanto che dal primo settembre è anche arrivato un nuovo ceo, Gernot Döllner, che il Consiglio di Sorveglianza ha messo al comando proprio «per rafforzare la strategia di prodotto e la posizione del marchio nei mercati chiave». Quasi una sconfessione del suo predecessore Markus Duesmann. Sarà così Döllner a tenere a battesimo anche l’aggiornamento della grande Q8 (in concessionaria in questi giorni), dove tutto sembra ruotare intorno ad un frontale che ne definisce l’anima grazie alla calandra sempre più imponente e inedite prese d’aria più ampie. Nuovi anche i fari che ora usano proiettori a Led Matrix Hd con spot laser e una luce che può essere personalizzata scegliendo tra quattro diverse forme. In attesa della versione ibrida ricaricabile plug-in attesa per il prossimo anno, la Q8 è disponibile con due motori diesel (45 TDI da 231 cavalli e 50 TDI da 286 cavalli) e un benzina (55 TFSI da 340 cavalli), tutti 3 litri, 6 cilindri a V, mild hybrid, trazione integrale permanente e cambio automatico a 8 rapporti. A questi si aggiunge il top di gamma, la SQ8 con un motore 4.0 biturbo benzina da 507 cavalli e uno scatto da 0 a 100 in soli 4,1 secondi, un tempo da record per un Suv di queste dimensioni. Cars For Sale: South Africa’s Best 

A bit of a throwback, but herewith are the semi-finalists of the 2019/20 Cars.co.za Consumer Awards – powered by WesBank.

The awards programme recognises the best purchasing propositions in the respective categories of the new vehicle market.

“Vehicle purchases are amongst the biggest that consumers are likely to make in their lifetime,” said Ghana Msibi, executive head of sales and marketing at WesBank.

“Initiatives such as this offer credible opinions on the types of cars and features available in the market, and in so doing help consumers make informed decisions when choosing a new or used vehicle,” he said.

The 13 eventual category winners will be selected from the list of 65 vehicles, which includes model derivatives from 24 brands represented in the South African market.

All vehicles available on the South African market on September 1, 2019, were eligible, not only new products that were launched during the past 12 months.

Compared with the 2018/19 Cars Awards, the executive sedan category has been replaced with one that caters for premium-positioned crossovers.

The former Hot Hatch category (now named Fun Hatch) encompasses more affordable contenders and the price caps for the Premium SUV and Performance Car segments have been raised, it said.

“It is important to note that we analyse market changes proactively and adapt the categories to be better aligned with the South African consumer,” said Cars.co.za consumer experience manager Hannes Oosthuizen.

“With no new contenders in the Executive Sedan category, as well as very poor sales in that segment, we saw it fit to create a new category (to reflect growth and interest in upmarket crossovers) instead.

“Meanwhile there have been no new launches in the traditional hot hatch category, but there has been activity at a lower price point, so we’ve created a new category called Fun Hatch.”

And given the rapidly rising prices of cars for sale in Johannesburg, Oosthuisen said that sticking to a R1-million barrier for Premium SUV and Performance Car categories is no longer practical.

Volkswagen lead the charge in 2019/2020 again.

Even though 24 brands’ vehicles feature in the list of 65, five marques have more than three semi-finalists in the running for category honours.

Volkswagen has the most representatives (8), followed by BMW (6) and Audi, which has 5, although the A1 Sportback 40TFSI S Line is notably a semi-finalist in two separate categories.

Ford (5) and Toyota (4) round out the major manufacturers.
