Accidental Kisses! || TNG Star Trek x Male!Reader
William Riker
You stumbled down the stairs while he was walking up, Willaim lunged to catch you, which knocked your lips together.
"Oh- are you alright, Lieutenant? You took quite a tumble."
You apologize for stumbling into him and kissing him, to which he smiles and waves it off as an accident. After all, there was no harm in it!
Afterwards, he absentmindedly licks his lips and tastes your chapstick, reminding him of the encounter. His cheeks tinge pink- hopefully his feelings still remain a secret
Worf
As Worf's assistant and Assistant Chief of Security, Worf expected you to be in peak physical condition- this kiss happens while sparring- he tackled you to the ground, and in the struggle, you two share a rough kiss.
Worf pins you down by the neck and arms, which effectively left you prone. He mumbles "That better have been an accident." You nod frantically and he releases you.
Apologized for getting too rough with you- blaming it on reflex more than actual aggression. You apologize for the kiss, which still haunts his sweetest dreams to this day.
Data
You had no idea what the fuck happened. Suddenly, you were saying "hi" to Data in the rec room, then his hands were on your cheeks as he kissed you with a mountain of electricity tingling behind his lips.
"What? the hell?" You manage to sputter out, Data seemed confused.
"Apologies if I startled you. I was giving you an authentic European greeting from Earth. Did you feel appropriately greeted and our relationship assured?"
"Data- I- first of all, not all of Europe kisses to greet, NEXT OF ALL, THEY KISS THE CHEEKS!"
Geordi La Forge
It was a moment of excitement shared between you two- a project you both had spent countless nights on performed without a hitch in front of the investors. After the meeting, you two were so excited and hugging- it just sorta... happened.
"Oh- oh my god- I'm so sorry." Geordi apologized quickly as he recoiled away from the hug. "It was an accident."
"Yeah- we were just excited, totally an accident on both ends." You respond just as quickly as your cheeks burn up.
Q
Alright, this kiss isn't an accident. He's pissing you off by bothing you during your work, begging for you to entertain him. He wants a human experience! He already looks like one in this form! Do something human!
So, you punched him in the gut, then kiss him roughly- tongue invaded his mouth in a way that made his eyes roll back into his skull at the feeling of being properly paid attention to- even more than expected!
Q finally shut up for a good while as he behaved himself- at the promise of more of those. So, he sat down next to your station and waited patiently for you to be done with our work- then he kissed you!
His kiss was- well, it was Q, what did you expect?

The Protective and The Oblivious (Q)
Description: Q likes Y/N but she is oblivious until he is over protective of her.
Word Count:828
Request: How about a continuation of your overprotective fics? Q comes across the reader for the first time and finds her intriguing. After some time he continues to grow attached while she remains oblivious. Maybe he sees her getting harassed by a male crewmember and he goes feral. Thank you!!
Y/N watched from her spot on the bridge as Q teased Picard. She wasn’t sure what he was doing here but he sure loved to tease the captain. He loved to tease everyone, except for her. Picard found it strange as did she. She wasn’t sure why the god never was mean to her. Riker, on the other hand, always smirked when it got brought up.
It was like he knew something she did not. She didn’t understand what made her so different from the others. “And hello to my favorite human.” Q flirted as he walked up the ramp to her. She smiled at him and he got really close to her. “Back off Q.” Picard said to him but the god didn’t listen. “My my my it has been awhile since I have seen you.” He says and she thinks back to the last time.
It has been awhile. “Q.” Picard growled. Q looked at the captain, “Now Picard you cannot expect me not to get friendly when I will be staying on this ship for a week.” A week? She thought. She giggled at the thought of him messing with the captain for a whole week.
He looked down at her in surprise. She giggled. “Something making you giggle, cupcake?” He asked her and her face went red. Riker smirked at the interaction but Picard was more than pissed. He was not ready for a week with the god.
Q didn’t care for privacy at all. Especially with the captain and Y/N. While Picard would yell and scream at him, Y/N would giggle and explain what she was doing. The look in Q’s eyes as he watched the woman talk about the new book she was reading was of pure lust and love.
Though she had no idea that he was looking at her like that. He had to admit, her obliviousness was cute but it was also kind of annoying. He was trying so hard to make it obvious that he was into her but she never caught on. “You are the most adorable human I’ve ever come across.” He said and that still flew over her head as flirting.
He wished that she would just see that he was hopelessly in love with her. “Q, I am sleepy.” She told him as she yawned. He snapped his fingers and she in a pair of fluffy PJ’s. She gasped and looked down. “Q these are so cute.” She gushed and rubbed her arms and legs feeling the fabric.
He smiled at that and watched at how amused she was. “Do you need a big fluffy blanket?” He asked and she nodded. He didn’t make a blanket appear like she thought he would. He got on the bed and laid beside her before opening his arms to her. She had a confused look but just shrugged and laid in his arms. It was better than a big fluffy blanket.
The next morning when she woke Q was not there. She felt herself fill up with disappointment but then she smiled as she thought of where he could be and who he could be annoying. She looked at the time and decided to get ready for her shift. On the bridge she was training a new ensign that arrived on the ship 3 days ago.
He was very tall but short with words. He didn’t say much and seemed to be bored and not interested in anything she had to say. It got to the point where during the shift she had made a small mistake and the ensign blew up on her. Her eyes widened as the guy yelled at her and called her stupid.
Before anyone could say anything Q appeared and he looked angry. Y/N watched as he got in the ensign’s face and threatened him. “Yell at her again your tongue will be ripped away and you will no longer use words.” He growled. The ensign looked scared as he backed away from Q but Q followed. Y/N watched as Q made the guy cry but she didn’t feel bad. The guy was very rude and obviously not for starfleet.
She watched as he ran off the bridge. Q turned around and looked at the girl he was so fond of. She didn’t have the look of fear in her eyes but the look of gratefulness? “Thank you, but you did not have to do that.” She said to him. He walked up to her and wrapped his arms around her. “I will always protect you.” He said softly and she stared up at him with shock.
Did Q have feelings for her? “Yes and I have for a while now.” She looked at him as he answered the question she thought. “Thank you for finally noticing.” Before she could answer his lips were on hers and she was thankfully that he had been over protective of her and she caught on.

hello love!! could i please request yandere headcanons for Q from star trek: tng? thank youu so much!!! <3
Yandere Q hcs
I AM SO SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG!!!! Q is a basically canonically Yandere for Captain Janeway in Voyager. Also please enjoy my friend! 💙
Q is a manipulative, narcissistic, obsessive, and possessive yandere.
He first met you on one of his many adventures to f*ck with Picard and everyone on Enterprise. You were covering for one of your friends on the bridge.
When he saw you he froze, and he never freezes because of a puny human. You were just so breath taking.
Maybe you're different from humans. Or you're using some weird power over him, but thats highly unlikely.
Q continues his antics but he harasses you a bit. To the point Picard notices it.
Picard finds it annoying how often he harasses you during his time messing with the enterprise, and how often he forces you to be involved.
If Q doesn't see you while screwing with the Enterprise then he will force you to become a part of it some how, including threatening the captain and enterprise.
"Oh Picard, where is that little Lieutenant of yours? Its almost like you're hiding her from me. Don't tell me I have to shake the ship down till I find her?"
Q loves telling you how lucky you are to have caught the eye of an all powerful being like him. He also loves showing off how powerful he is.
He basically uses his powers as pallor tricks to impress show you how truly amazing he is.
Q periodically comes on the Enterprise to see you, and to piss of Picard.
He gets really mad if you're living your life avoidng him when he comes to visit. How dare you go on a lunch date! He is right here.
______________
“Oh, darling!” You hear a familiar voice say. ‘Oh god.’ you think. You duck your head down and look toward your date, “Don’t do anything to draw his attention please!”. Your date looks at you extremely confused, “Why are you hiding from Q?”, they whisper. You shake your head, saying you’ll explain later. All while Q is scanning the room for you, he starts to get more frustrated the longer he can’t find you. But then unfortunately for you, your server has come with your food, drawing Q’s attention to you. “Ahha! There you are my little-” Q starts to say as he nears you but then he notices you’re not sitting alone. His smile drops and his face tightens. “Who are you?” he hissed. Your date is about to introduce themselves when Q interrupts them, “Actually, I don’t care. I already know you’re an insignificant speck of matter, who has no right to be associating yourself with Y/N.”. You try to defend your date but Q snaps his fingers and sends your date to god knows where. He turns his attention back towards you, arms folded and nostrils flaring. “You should know better than to associate yourself with people like them” Q sneers. He gives you a hard stare before his personality takes a flip. “Why don’t we go eat somewhere new, hm? If you’re good I might bring your ‘friend’ back to the ship. Key word, might.”
Q loves to give you little tests, to see how you’ll respond and react. He says it's to gain more information on you humans for the continuum but that's a lie.
He’ll try giving you powers just like he did to Riker, but whatever your answer is it doesn’t matter, he’ll find it fascinating either way.
Because that's what you are to him, you’re a fascinating incredible human. Not that he’ll admit that to you.
“Your race is so fascinating, you do realize how lucky you are to have caught my eye right?”
Q will eventually take you, one way or another. He already has a special dimension just for the two of you.
The bridge crew will do whatever they can to protect you though. But it won’t be enough against him. Not unless they’re willing to start a war against an omnipotent being.
______________
“Just give her to me and I’ll send you and your ship on your way Picard.” Q offered. Picard looks at him like he’s insane. “In case you haven’t noticed Q, but our civilization has evolved past selling humans.”, Picard spat. Q rolls his eyes which ticks Riker off. “Look Q, we’re not giving her to you. She’s a human being with rights, including the right to not give herself to a narcissistic lunatic.” Riker sneers at Q. Picard gives him a scolding look before continuing to argue with Q, “You’re not getting her Q. Now leave before this gets serious.”. Q chuckles darkly before giving Picard a pointed look. “I’m giving you one last chance Picard. Just bring her to me and nothing bad will happen.”. “That's not going to happen Q.” He glowered. Q let out a big sigh before giving Picard a wicked grin. “Well, that's too bad.” Q laughs as the ship starts to shake.
He can give you everything you could ever want, all you have to do is give in to him. Just give in and there won’t be a problem, no one will have to get hurt. Just give in
Q is willing to do and give you everything. He’ll show you the multiple universes to your heart's content, he’ll shower you with presents. But he’ll say it's because of how lucky you are to have him, not because he desperately wants to shower you with affection.
He’ll also manipulate you to love on him. This man is desperate for your touch. Even just accidentally brushing your hand against him will do something to him.
Q can change his appearance, but he thinks the human form he’s chosen is amazing. He will change his appearance for you, but only slightly. And he won’t admit he did it because he overheard your dream guy has blue or green eyes. No, he didn’t add freckles to himself because he heard you talking about them with a coworker. He just felt like changing things up! That's why, no other reason.
He’ll be willing to change certain things in the bedroom though, but that's for another day another headcanons.
After a while of beating around the bush and acting subtly, he’ll just start being straightforward. (If you can call how he was acting that.)
He’ll start showing up in your quarters when you come from duty, he has changed how they looked to appear like a wedding venue and he’ll be wearing a suit and tie.
“There’s my dear little human! Are you ready for our wedding? I made it look just as amazing and spectacular as we are together.”
As time goes on his straightforwardness will get worse. Like, extremely.
“Oh my god!” You yell after coming from duty and finding a naked Q on your bed. He had just barely covered himself in rose petals. “Salut mon chéri,” Q purs with a rose in his mouth. You look around and notice all the lit candles, dimmed lights, and wine glasses. Before he knows it you’ve started throwing things at him, screaming for him to get out. He reluctantly leaves before you try attacking him.
I hope you understand how lucky you are that he hasn’t truly used his powers on you. He’s an omnipotent being for universes’ sake! With a snap of his fingers, he could have you in another universe with just you and him. Q could force you to agree to marry him. He could even force yourself on him if he gets that desperate.
But, just because he hasn’t really used his powers yet doesn’t mean he won’t. Hopefully, you won’t push him that far.
I told you he’s utterly devoted to you right?
Like to an unhealthy amount, (who am I kidding, isn’t that part of the yandere criteria?)
Just the mere look of another human could set him off.
“Who do you think I am you harlot?! How dare you look into my eyes! I’m taken!”
The same goes if someone even glances at you. You’ll need to hold him back or something.
“HOW DARE YOU TRY TO GET INTO HER PANTS YOU WHORE!” He screeches and tries to lunge and attack the poor ensign who accidentally touched your arm. While you’re struggling to hold him back by his arm.
I’ve already mentioned that he’s manipulative but I didn’t explain how good he is at it. Of course, his powers help him manipulate people, but even without them, he’s still got a nack for it. He’s especially good at manipulating you with your own emotions.
Q will use fear, guilt, anger, sadness, and any emotion of yours against yourself.
Have a stalker (who he totally didn’t create) who won’t leave you be? He’ll send him away! Only if you kiss him though.
Your friend has an unexplainable incurable disease and is dying? Q will fix them up even better than before! Just agree to a date with him.
Your favorite commander (whom you were better than friends with) sacrificed themselves to save you and now you have not only grief but survivor’s guilt? He’ll bring him back with a flick of his wrist! You have to marry him and stay by his side forever though.
Just agree to be his forever and everything will be fine. Sure you might not see your family or friends again. But you’ll see every dimension and universe imaginable! And, no one gets hurt.
So unless you’re willing to sacrifice your friends’ lives, hell even the whole ship, just so he might have difficulty getting you, then by all means! Go ahead.
Just remember how much the crew cares for you, and how little Q cares for them.

Q x GN!Reader, Geordi La Forge x GN!Reader, Data x GN!Reader, Deanna Troi x GN!Reader, Worf x GN!Reader, Will Riker x GN!Reader, Jean Luc Picard x GN!Reader, Reginald Barclay x GN!Reader
GENRE:
Humour, romance (sort of)
WARNINGS:
None
SUMMARY:
Oneshot sequel to 'Think'. Q returned you and the other nineteen crew members to the ship, but people are acting... strangely. (Inspired by a funny mistake in my previous Q fic)
Irresistable
It had been three days since you had been kidnapped by Q and forced to play his game. Three days since he promised to drop by every so often to make your life 'more interesting'. For a short period of time you lived in fear of when that moment would be and, more importantly, what he would do. Then, sometime around the second day, your priority shifted from Q.
You didn't know whether you were paranoid, whether your fear of Q was translating to other meaningless things, or if something was actually going on, but...
Everyone was staring at you.
At first you assumed it was because your experience with Q had made you and the nineteen other crew members the hottest gossip on the Enterprise. But then it got weird.
Conversations would stop as soon as you entered a room, people would go out of their way to talk to you or do you a favour, and if you didn't get at least six compliments upon entering a room then the room was empty. Not only that, but you had been asked on more dates than ever before in your entire life. Dinner, lunch, breakfast, afternoon tea - people were desperate to squeeze in some quality time with you.
But most of all, they stared.
You were in one of the jefferies tubes replacing a burnt out conduit. Commander La Forge had insisted on helping you... by standing just outside of the tube... and chatting. It wasn't really like him to stand around and talk while there was work to be done, but you weren't about to question a superior officer.
"...and then I came in and fixed the neutrino field in two seconds. Guess what the problem was!"
You smiled as though you were amused by Geordi's story as you worked. In all honesty, you were a bit worn thin by people trying to be relatable to you over the past few days. Still, even before the Q incident, Geordi had been nice to you. You weren't about to brush off his polite attempts at socialising now, even if it was a little exhausting.
"What was it?" you asked, humouring him.
"No converters! They thought they could not only start up a neutrino field, but stabilise the entire thing without any converters!"
While Geordi laughed, you gave a forced chuckle. You got the feeling that even he knew he was scraping the bottom of the barrel for conversation material. It was lucky for him that the burnt out conduit was behind several wires and tubes and partially melted to the framework of the ship, otherwise you would have come up with some excuse to leave over an hour ago.
Geordi sucked in a breath and you knew he had just thought of a new topic to discuss.
"That actually reminds me of the time -"
Commander Data's calm voice hit the air. "Geordi, may I have a word with you?"
"Not now, Data!" Geordi whispered harshly.
"Is now not a good time?"
"Lieutenant (Y/N) and I were just talking -"
"Actually, I'm done!" you announced, crawling back out of the tube. When you stood upright, you came face to face with Commander Data. He was an android - a tall, very pale and slightly yellowish android with golden eyes, who was well known for his inability to experience any emotions.
So why his entire face twisted into shock upon seeing you was something you didn't feel qualified enough to answer. His bright golden eyes were locked onto you like you were some sort of mythological being come to life. Whatever the expression was, you were pretty sure it meant that something was seriously wrong.
Geordi noticed, too. He put a hand on Data's shoulder.
"Data, what's the matter?"
"I..." The android appeared at a loss for words. "I am not certain. This is the eighth time in three days that I have been overwhelmed by this... urge."
"Urge?"
Data turned his head to Geordi and his tone became almost conversational. "It is what I came to speak to you about. I believe I am experiencing some kind of malfunction."
"Alright, let's go check out your neural net, see if there's anything going on we should know about." Geordi gave Data a light pat on the back and together the two commanding officers walked away.
You stood alone for the first time since waking up that morning. No one had noticed that you were on your own so no one was rushing up to impress you or ask you to dinner or... stare.
As much as you hoped Data was okay, you were glad for the distraction. For this brief moment, you could finally relax.
"Hello again."
You cried out and jumped away from the jefferies tube, where Q was laying flat on his stomach with his head propped up on his hands. He seemed to be in a good mood, with a cheery smile and mischief dancing in his eyes. He suddenly reminded you of a grinning Cheshire Cat.
"You!"
Q gave a light chuckle. "How observant of you," he remarked snidley. "And how are you today, (Y/N)? I must say, you have been quite popular since you came back." He raised his eyebrows. "A new shampoo you're using?"
"You're behind this, aren't you?"
Q pretended to be shocked, putting a hand to his chest and gawking up at you. "Me? Now, why would I do such a thing?" His face dropped into a wicked grin. "I'll see you later - if you can squeeze me into your busy schedule, of course."
In a flash of white light he was gone. You huffed and stormed out of engineering.
If Q was going to mess with you, then you were at least going to try and figure out exactly what he did. Everyone seemed to be experiencing some sort of strong emotion towards you - possibly attraction, but possibly something else. Either way, when it came to emotions, you knew there was only one person you needed to speak with.
You stood outside Counsellor Troi's quarters. It was within her usual therapy hours and you were fairly certain that she wasn't on the bridge. You pressed the buzzer and the door slid open almost immediately. Counsellor Troi stood before you in her red one-piece uniform with her long, dark, wavy hair tied up into a high ponytail. The second her black half-betazoid eyes locked onto you, a huge smile curled onto her lips.
"(Y/N)," she greeted warmly. She stepped aside and held her arm out toward her lounge. "Come in. Is there something on your mind?"
"One thing, actually," you said, walking in and taking a seat. She took a seat in the chair opposite you, crossing one leg over the other and linking her hands over her knee.
"Oh? And what might that be?"
"People have been acting strange around me. Ever since I came back from Q's..."
Counsellor Troi wasn't listening. You could see her eyes had dropped to roaming over your body. You cleared your throat loudly and she startled straight in her chair. She gave an apologetic smile.
"Sorry. Please, go on."
"Well, as I was saying, ever since I came back from Q's game, people have been all over me. People are staring at me, they're going out of their way to talk to me, and I'm getting flooded in requests for dates -"
"Maybe you're just popular?" Troi laughed.
"But it's more than that. Q visited me today. He didn't openly admit to anything, but I'm certain he's behind it."
"Q visited you today?"
"Yeah. I think me winning his game means I've just won a lifetime's supply of Q antics to deal with."
"Have you told Captain Picard about this?"
"No, not yet, but I -"
"I think," said Counsellor Troi, standing up from her chair and walking around behind you. "After this session, you should go and inform the captain about what's going on. In the meantime..."
Her hands slid down over your shoulders and massaged the muscles around your neck. She leaned down and breathed in your ear.
"Relax..."
"Uh!" You quickly shimmied out of her grasp and sprang back up to your feet. You backed away from her towards the door with a nervous chuckle. "I-I actually have to go. Important things to do. No time for massages."
"(Y/N)?"
"Thanks for the therapy! Bye!"
You raced out of Counsellor Troi's quarters and headed straight for the turbolift. Clearly, Troi was a little too distracted to help on her own.
Omnipotent being or not, Q was going to get an earful if he showed his face again.
You took the turbolift to the bridge. The second you stepped out, Lieutenant Worf, the klingon chief of security, looked to you. At first it was just him casually glancing over from his station, but when your eyes met he went rigid, like someone had come up from behind and electrocuted him. His expression was tight and his eyes were wide. You could barely believe the idea, but it seemed almost as though you had scared him.
"Just here to see the captain," you explained. Worf gave a stiff nod.
The klingon's eyes were trained on you the entire time you walked over to the door to the captain's ready room. Other personnel on the bridge who had noticed your presence watched you with stunned fascination. The word 'creepy' didn't cover just how uncomfortable you were.
The ready room door slid open and out walked Commander Riker, almost knocking you over with how fast he was walking. He grasped your arms to steady you. Then his eyes met yours and a large flirtatious grin spread across his face.
"Well, well, well..." he said, dark eyes sparkling as they took you in. "Lieutenant (Y/N), isn't it?" He dropped his hands from your arms. "What brings you to the bridge?"
"I'm, uh... actually here to see the captain."
"Oh? Lucky him," Riker smiled. "I don't suppose I'll see you down in Ten Forward tonight? We haven't gotten to know each other very well since you transferred here and I think it's about time we did."
"Uh... Maybe some other time, sir. I'm a little preoccupied right now."
"I see. Well, feel free to come talk to me after my shift whenever you're available. I really would like to get to know you better."
With that Commander Riker walked off. Sighing quietly to yourself, you buzzed the ready room door and you heard the captain order for you to come in. You pressed for the door to open and stepped inside the smaller room, delighted and relieved to be shielded from the stares of the bridge personnel.
"Captain, I -"
Captain Picard was sitting behind his desk, staring at you, stunned, like he couldn't believe what he was seeing. He cleared his throat and adjusted his position in his seat before giving you a nod.
"Please, continue. What is it you need, Lieutenant?"
"Captain, it's Q -"
"Q?!" the captain repeated, alarmed. A weary look overcame him. "What has he done now?"
"Everyone is acting strangely, sir. Everyone is staring at me, going out of their way to spend time with me, and it's not just some sort of spike in popularity. It's like everyone has suddenly become obsessed."
"And you think this is Q's doing?"
"He visited me earlier. It was pretty obvious that he had something to do with it."
Picard leaned forward onto his desk. "Any idea what he wants or why he might be doing this to you? In my experience, Q usually has some sort of moral lesson to teach or an ulterior motive."
"He told me three days ago that he planned on making my life more interesting."
"Why?"
You sighed. "As a reward for winning his game."
Picard's brow furrowed in thought. "So, you're saying that as a reward for solving his game he's rewarded you by making the entire crew overwhelmingly attracted to you?"
You blinked dumbly at the captain. Captain Picard's eyes widened slightly, realising what he had just admitted, and cleared his throat again. You had never seen the captain look so sheepish.
"I think perhaps it's best if you wait in your quarters until Q arrives again so you can question him further. I've had reports of personnel fighting over the others that had been taken by Q during his game. Whatever is going on between you and Q, I don't think that you're the only one that's been affected."
"I see. Thank you, sir."
"You're welcome, Lieutenant." The captain gave a tight-lipped smile. He seemed just as uncomfortable as you in this whole mess. "Dimissed."
You left the captain's ready room back out onto the bridge. Instantly, every eye was on you. Commander Riker was the only one to smile at you from his seat, while everyone else seemed to be in awe of your very existence.
The second you stepped into the turbolift and the doors slid shut, you let out a deep breath. Unfortunately, the moment you arrived on your level and the doors reopened you came face to face with Mr Barclay. The poor man took one look at you and was stumbling over himself trying to say 'hello'. He was a shy man to begin with and this newfound effect you had on people was taking its toll.
You greeted him politely as you passed him. The man was bright red. You would have thought it sweet if you hadn't known already that this was all Q's doing.
Upon reaching your quarters, you looked forward to the time alone as you waited for Q to show up, to be free of the constant staring and talking and flirting. Your moment of relief was quickly ruined when soft music hit the air and you realised that Q was once again lying across your bed, only this time he was dressed in a red silk robe and surrounded by red roses. He held one of the roses in his hand, waving it just under his nose, and threw you a wink.
"Welcome to later."
"Very funny," you scolded. You walked closer to the bed, scowling down at the omnipotent entity. "Why are you doing this?"
"Can't a Q have a little fun now and then?" Q huffed and rolled his eyes. "Honestly, you mortals have no sense of humour."
"I heard you were forced to be a human once."
"What about it?"
"Well, would you have liked it if everyone was throwing themselves onto you wherever you went?"
Q hummed in thought. "Good point, I suppose. I must say, your nerves about me being here seemed to have disappeared. The (Y/N) I met in the shuttle three days ago would never have talked to me like this. The (Y/N) I met three days ago would have been terrified that I would do something horrific like throw them into a black hole or lock them away forever in a box and sell it to a ferengi merchant."
"Well, back then I thought every interaction with you would mean constantly dealing with the lives of both myself and the crew!" You gave a humourless laugh, "Not making everyone on the ship attracted to me for your entertainment! Really, what could you possibly gain from this?!"
Q raised an eyebrow up at you, still lying on your bed in his silk robe. "So you're not scared of me anymore?"
"You're bored, not evil." You shrugged, "I mean, sometimes you might be trying to teach..."
And suddenly you understood.
"You wanted to show me..." you said, looking down at Q in a new light, "That it wouldn't always be life and death."
Q stood up from the bed and smiled down at you. "You humans are so easily frightened by the unknown, yet always rushing towards it out of some blundering curiosity you can barely control." He shook his head at you, "I'm not here to be some undiscovered specimen or the monster under your bed."
You smirked. "You're here for your own amusement."
Q held a rose out to you, which you took and glanced over. There was nothing special about it; just an ordinary red rose.
"Leave the worrying to Jean Luc," said Q, watching as you studied the flower. You perked up at the sound of his voice, your eyes meeting as he looked down at you earnestly. "Not everything that's unknown is a bad thing. Not everything unexpected needs to be analysed for a flaw or a trick. Sometimes, good things happen, too."
A flash of white light and Q and all the flowers on the bed were gone. Only the rose in your hand had been left behind. In the following silence, you looked down at the rose, and you smiled.

Chapters: 1/1 Fandom: Star Trek, Star Trek: The Next Generation Rating: Explicit 18+ MDNI Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Relationships: Q (Star Trek)/Reader Characters: Q (Star Trek), Reader Additional Tags: No y/n, Female Reader, Established Relationship, Situationship - Freeform, PIV, Romance, Smut (more explicit tags on AO3). Summary: Female Reader (no y/n) and Q have a situationship, and one morning reader spills their true feelings and professes that nothing substantial could come from their arrangement because a Q could never be romantic. Q proves reader wrong. Note: You work for Starfleet. You met Q during one of his various arrivals on board the Enterprise. The two of you have a situationship. You used to go to the Holodeck at night and program different locations (the beach on a cool night, a warm cozy cabin in a blizzard, a sleeper cabin on a train as it goes through the countryside on a rainy night, etc ) to help you fall asleep, but once Q discovered this he began transporting you to locations that matched the ambiance of whatever you asked and sometimes would take you to a place of his choosing that he knew you would find comfortable. The situationship became sexual at one point but never anything romantic or exclusive; you had to accept that a Q and a human could never be exclusive and that a Q could never give you the commitment of a monogamous lifelong relationship. Plus you really could not see Q having a romantic side at all. Sometimes you wish things could be different, but you try to quickly bury those feelings. Sometimes that is easier said than done, however.
Comments and Kudos appreciated! :)

"Did it hurt...?"
He turns his head towards you, furrowing his brow.
"What?" he asks, slightly caught off guard by your sudden question. You fiddle with your glass on the bar, feeling slightly guilty for asking at all.
"When they made you human... was it... painful?"
His eyebrows lift slightly, his eyes drifting away from yours as he processes and recalls. You can almost hear the shaking of his voice as he pleas for a second chance; the silent refusal that follows, more deafening than the vacuum of space itself. The sudden burst of light that shoots forth from his incorporeal form as it begins to mold itself into a humanoid shape. The twisting, writhing agony of bones, organs, muscle tissue and blood, expanding and snapping and gushing into place from their origin. His screams, reaching out into the deepest corners of the galaxy, heard by no one at all.
He lifts his eyes to meet yours once again, his expression having shifted to one of fear, pain and sorrow.
"Excruciating," he whispers.

Any followers KJ/Q shippers / Voyager bookverse fans?
A non J/C plot bunny has taken over my brain (I know I'm shocked too) and started spawning chapter titles, which means the idea is turning into a fic whether I wanted a new WIP or not. 😆 But it has been a hot minute since I read Pocket Full of Lies or Eternal Tide, which the fic draws heavily on. I'd be really grateful if someone with a better memory than me wouldn’t mind commenting on draft chapters sporadically as I have them ready. (it won't be fast, alas, fic takes a back seat to work and wedding planning craziness this year).
@theredheadedcaptain is usually my go to to read all my random ass plot bunnies (love you). But alas she only has a vague idea who Denzit Janeway is and I already bother her enough with ships she doesn't ship (I promise I'll get some actual J/C goodness for you soon, Bestie <3).
I’m put the fic summary below. And like. If you know the Voyager books and you’re intrigued by the ship, reply or DM me if you want to comment on the draft. I literally dunno if anyone else would want to read this. But if yah do and you want to help me not break book canon toooo much, that’d be sweet.
The Universe to Bend Ships: Kathryn Janeway (Denzit) / Q, background Janeway/Chakotay (like really background. They’re gallavanting around a different galaxy, don’t get too excited) Characters: Kathryn Janeway (Denzit), Q, Hologram Janeway (From Prodigy. but I really would not call this a crossover, I’m just having Q borrow her for the plot), Chakotay (Denzit’s original universe), Mollah Janeway. Q Jr. Some other fun people. Chapters: ... eight...? I mean I have most of two now but the whole thing feels like eight. We shall see. Summary: Q teams up with Denzit Janeway to investigate new weakening between the Omega continuum and the universe. He offers her freedom from her exile in exchange for her help solving the crisis and rescuing his son. Along the way, they run head on into new problems with the Kremin, forcing the Denzit to confront her former captors as well as make her peace with the life she never had the chance to live. Rating: M for all the Denzit trauma we gonna be dealing with and also for a smut scene or two. Gurl deserves some love.
#i REALLY dunno if anyone would want to help with this but if yah do the ficcy author would love you a lot#janeway/q#Kathryn Janeway / Q#Denzit Janeway#Denzit janeway / Q#beyerverse#beyerverse fanfiction#star trek voyager fanfiction#beta reader wanted#elephantwrites

Choosing Love
Summary:
Before the events of Star Trek: Picard season 2, Q met the love of his life in Rose Carter. Will Q let her join him on his mission to ensure Picard has the same opportunity to find love that Q has found with her? This is not 100% canon compliant. QxOC
Chapter 4
“My darling,” Q began as he sat next to Rose in their 2024 apartment, “There is a piece to this mission that I need to do on my own. I’ll be back to get you as soon as it’s completed. Will you agree to this, please?”
Rose sighed, “I thought you promised to never leave me behind again?”
“You are completely correct,” he countered, “However, this last part needs to be between myself and Jean Luc. He has reached a very important moment in his journey and I need to be there to give him the final push. You won’t be alone for long, I promise,” he stated before he placed a chaste kiss on her lips.
She couldn’t help it when the tears started rolling down her cheeks.
“Woah, woah, woah,’ Q reacted as he pulled her tighter into his embrace, “What’s all of this for? I’ll be back before you even know I’m gone,” he added, hoping to comfort and reassure her.
She gathered herself enough to be able to speak, “What if you die while you’re gone? I’ll never see you again and I’ll be stuck here forever.” Her voice crumbled into sobs as she shared her true fears.
“That will not happen,” he promised, “And, even if I did die, you wouldn’t be stranded here. Another one of the Qs will bring you home. I promise. But, you have nothing to fear, my love. I will be back to retrieve you. I refuse to leave this universe without looking at your beautiful face, at least, one more time,” he lamented, against his better judgment. This wasn’t supposed to be a goodbye at all, any version of one.
Rose pulled out of his strong arms so she could look into his perfect eyes, “I trust you. Go ahead and finish this thing with Picard. I’ll be here waiting for you. Just promise me that you’ll be careful and that you’ll return. I don’t want to meet another Q. I want you,” she revealed, as she sniffed her nose, trying to compose herself and be strong for him.
“I promise, my dear,” he guaranteed as he leaned down and placed his lips to hers, kissing her with every fiber of passion in his being.
When he released her, he stole another quick kiss, ghosting his lips across her cheek, “I will be back before you know it. You will barely know I’ve left. I love you, my dear sweet Rose. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me in all my many years. Know that,” he whispered as he leaned in toward her ear.
His words caused a shiver along her spine as she grasped his forearm to keep him for one more moment, “I love you too. I know I haven’t been alive as long as you have, by a long shot. But you are the only person that I have ever truly loved. And, I will love you for as long as I’m alive and every day after. You are my soulmate,” Rose added as the couple shared another quick but passionate kiss before Q snapped and disappeared, leaving her alone to sit with her worries.
Hours later, that felt like days, Q reappeared before Rose, but something was wrong. He was weak.
She jumped up and rushed to his side to take some of his weight, “What happened to you?” she asked, afraid to hear the answer.
He took a moment to regulate his breathing before he spoke, “Jean Luc was able to let go of the ghosts haunting his past. Unfortunately, I’ve used almost all of the power I had left in the process. I have two good snaps left in me.” Q made eye contact with Rose, “I’m so sorry, my love. I truly thought we had more time,” he stated as he snapped, bringing the couple into the woods where Picard and his people were waiting, not giving her a chance to get upset.
“Q, you look awful,” Picard commented upon his and Rose’s arrival, “Are you alright?”
Q straightened himself, releasing Rose in the process, unwilling to say goodbye to Picard looking anything less than himself. “I am just fine and I need to get you all back to where you belong, including my dear Rose. Jean Luc, please look after her. This snap will be the last thing I’m ever able to do,” he shared, honestly showing vulnerability that only Rose had ever seen.
“Are you sure?” Picard questioned, reaching out and placing his hand on Q’s upper arm, “We could stay in this time. I know you’ve been a thorn in my side for many years, but I’m not ready to say farewell,” he shared,
Picard’s words caused Rose to finally lose control of her emotions. She began to sob as she raced toward Q, wrapping her arms around him from behind.
“I understand why you have to do this but I’m not ready,” Rose managed to choke out through her breakdown.
Q turned away from Picard to face Rose, “I will miss you so much, my love. You’ll find someone else, I’m sure of it. Don’t cry over me. I want to remember that beautiful face with the radiant smile you sport so well, not this,” he wiped her tears, “Please be strong, for me?”
Rose took a deep breath, inhaling her emotions, as she composed herself, “For you, of course.”
Q placed a kiss on her forehead before he turned back to Picard, “Are you all ready to return to your time period?” he asked, matter-of-factly as if this wasn’t his last act as a living being.
Picard embraced Q, “If this is the end, then I want to say goodbye properly. I will miss you, old friend,” he shared as he released Q.
Before Q could snap his fingers, sending everyone but himself home, the group was interrupted by the entrance of another Q.
“Q?” Q questioned at the interruption, “What are you doing here?”
The other Q glanced at Rose, noting she was emotional once again, “I am here to make you an offer, bother.”
“And what is that?” Q inquired as he moved back a few steps, pulling Rose into his arms, wishing he could erase himself from her memory to stop the pain she was experiencing.
The other Q spoke, “This snap will certainly be your demise, but if you’d like me to send everyone home I will.”
“What do I have to do for you to offer that?” Q questioned, his eyebrow raised.
The other Q responded, “I will offer you a mortal life. You will live as long as Rose Carter. When she passed, you will go by her side. What do you say? You will no longer have your powers, but you will have much more time.”
Q was shocked as he looked down at his Rose and then at Picard, who was wearing a dopey grin of approval.
“Rose, my dear,” Q began, “What do you think I should do?”
Rose shook her head, “I can’t make this decision for you. I know how much you love your powers and I would understand if you chose to use them once more instead of having more time with me. This is your choice to make,” she offered as she took a step away from him so she wouldn’t be influencing his decision.
Q looked at his fellow Q and nodded, “I choose a mortal life. I would much rather live out my days with Rose than continue menacing the galaxy. I humbly accept your proposal,” he added as he reached for Rose’s hand which she gladly took.
“Very well,” the other Q stated as he snapped.
The world disappeared for a brief moment before it came into view again. Rose found herself in her apartment, alone.
She attempted to keep herself composed as she looked for Q, realizing that he could have changed his mind at the last minute. She was holding back her breakdown as she sat down on her sofa, taking a deep breath.
Moments later, Q appeared before her, just as he had done before she’d gone on this adventure with him.
“Don’t look so sad, my darling,” he whispered as he moved to sit beside her, wrapping his arm around her, “I had a few things to finish up at the Continuum before I could rejoin you for our mortal life. Travel is going to be so tedious from now on,” he joked, earning a slap from her.
Rose removed herself from his grasp so she could straddle him, wrapping her arms around his neck, “Don’t make jokes. I thought I was about to lose you,” she held back her tears as she placed kisses along his cheek, jawline, and lips.
“I told you I wouldn’t be leaving you anytime soon,” he teased as he moved his hips involuntarily against her, “You have to learn to trust me, my dear.”
“I love you so much,” Rose whispered into his ear before she placed her lips against his.
Q broke the kiss, for a moment, “And, I love you. Now, that we have all of this time together we can do whatever you want. Start a family, travel the world, anything you can imagine with no magic involved, of course,” he added, teasing her as she felt her bite his lower lip, sucking it into her mouth.
“I don’t care what we do as long I have you by my side, dummy,” Rose confessed as she resumed their kiss while moving her hands underneath his turtleneck, running her fingernails along his skin, causing him to gasp against her lips.
The End
A/N: In Q’s ‘final’ moment, he tells Picard, “See you out there.” I choose to believe that this means he’s still out there somewhere and he could reappear at any moment. I hope you enjoyed my story.

Do you have first time sleeping togther/hooking up headcanons for TNG characters? I was about to be like 'I'd love in particular to hear about...' but then listed about half the TNG cast (of multiple genders, but feel free to stick to male characters if you want) because I am exceptionally thirsty lol. I do personally have a strong preference for top!M!reader, but go with what's in your heart
First Time With the TNG Boys! || Star Trek TNG x Top!M!Reader +18
(Worf, Data, Will, Picard, Geordi, Lore, Q)
Worf
Boy you'll have to WORK to top Worf. Even if you are bigger than him (somehow?? mans is 6'3" and jacked). He'd love the wrestle for domination and how you pin him down and kiss the back of his neck as you taunt him playfully.
He's into biting, fighting as foreplay, and brat taming/authority. Although, if he's bottoming, he likes following directions and being praised for being a good soldier.
Bite this mf as he's jerking off, praise him for looking so stunning, Tell him he's the best you've ever fucked by far and he'll blow the biggest load of your life.
Data
Would let you top if you asked him, honestly. He's never been with another man before and the logging of information would be rather useful.
Data would enjoy you praising him, asking for consent multiple times, and generally treating him gently and kindly. He's not the rough and tumble type, that would require a minimum 3 more days of research and an "uncomfortable" talk with Troi about BDSM and the psycho-sexual aspects of it.
CALL. THIS. MAN. BEAUTIFUL. He will not know what to do with himself as you fuck him slowly and praise him for being the most amazing man on the Enterprise.
William Riker
Would be a little hesitant to let you top, but would eventually say to hell with fear and let you hit.
Has a bit of a fear of "liking it too much", because even in the far future, internalized homophobia is still a thing. Especially for a "ladies' man" like Riker. He's not too comfortable with his sexuality just yet.
Tell him he's doing good, give him open communication and a place to state his worries, and he'll be screaming your name before you're halfway inside.
Picard
Now this man is hesitant taking it up the ass- not only because he's old an worried about being sore, but was around during the pre-crackdown of homophobia in the starship workplace, when subtle homophobia was commonplace. He's worried about what the other crew will think of him if they found out about your activities together.
Assurance goes a long way with Picard, also directing him with a massive amount of respect and understanding. (he'll never tell you this, but calling him "sir" really gets him going.)
Geordi
Honestly? the chillest of them all when you ask to top your first time together. like genuine "Yeah sure, that's fine". And it's obvious this isn't his first bottom rodeo.
Likes when you dirty talk to him tbh, it's a real engine-revver when you whisper in his ear that fucking him is all you've been thinking about for weeks.
Geordi especially likes hearing about your fantasies that involve him- tell him your wet dreams!! Please!!
Lore
This man is a total slut for being degraded/domineered. I mean seriously, look at that lil guy! He's a brat just begging to be tamed!
Push him around, show him who's boss, and roleplay about being a cop and a roguish, sassy criminal.
Despite his secret obsession with being used like a fucktoy, Lore also loves being worshipped and praised on a genuine level- and on a superficial one too, to set the record straight.
Q
Q is the most excited to bottom, offering his ass at a moment's notice the second you suggest topping for your first time together.
Granted, he has no idea what he's doing, so you'd have to guide him. He likes being teased and being squirmy, so watch out for that.
What really gets Q off is the illusion of being restrained. Cuffs, ropes, anything- even you pressing him into the mattress is enough to really get Q moaning about how a "big strong human" feels so good inside him.

Over Protective (Data)
Description: Data is overprotective of Y/N
Word Count:853
Request:Could you please do a Data x Reader or Spock x Reader fan ficm. Preferably where he is protective of the reader. Smut or no smut is fine just have fun with it! But if you don't want to that's totally understandable, thank you!
Author’s note: I will post the Spock one tomorrow. Also Spoilers for S3 E13
Q was a human, the all great powerful Q was just a puny human. He lost his powers and had no idea what to do with himself. While Picard had a hard time believing that this was real and not just one of his tricks, Y/N was intrigued.
She was curious as to how Q would act now that he was powerless. “I think I’m going to go visit Q.” Y/N told Data as she ate dinner. Data looked at her with a worried expression. “I do not think that is a wise idea.” He stated. Y/N looked at him, “Why not?” She asked.
“Q is powerful and could hurt you.” Y/N laughed at his words. “Babe, he’s harmless right now.” “He could be tricking us.” Y/N looked at him with a “bitch, really?” look and sighed.
“Then you can come.” Data shook his head, “I have work to do with Geordi in engineering.” He said and Y/N shrugged. “Then I can just go.” Data stood up from the table. “I am sorry Y/N but that is not wise and if I have a say in the matter, you are not to go anywhere near him.” She stood up and wiped her mouth. She walked up to him, “Well good thing you don’t have a say.” and she went to the bathroom.
While Data was in engineering with Geordi Y/N took it upon herself to visit Q. “What do you want?” He asked. Damn he sure was grumpy. “I came to see you and how you were doing as a human.” Q got up from the bed, “You are Data’s girlfriend, correct?” Y/N nodded.
“He is to help me understand humans.” Y/N raised an eyebrow. Data wasn’t even a human how could he help Q understand? “I know what you’re thinking. The android helps the all powerful Q understand humans. Well it was supposed to be you but Data offered instead.” “You’re lying.” He shook his head, “I am not. Looks like the android is very protective over you.” Before Y/N could say anything the door opened and there was Data.
“Y/N I thought I made it clear I was not okay with you being down here.” She turns toward her boyfriend. “And I thought androids weren’t supposed to lie.” He looks at her confused. “I did not lie about anything.” “You’re helping Q become more human?” She asked and he nodded.
“But that was originally supposed to be me doing this?” Data nodded at that as well. “So you took away a fun experience for me because you want to be controlling.” Data shakes his head, “I did not wish to upset you nor to control you. I just think it would be better if I were to show him.” “Why because I’m a weak little human?”
“Lover’s quarrel.” Q said as he watched them argue. “I do not view you as a weak little human. If things were to go wrong I would have a better chance at stopping him.” “Newsflash you dingus he’s a god! It doesn’t matter if you’re an android or not.”
Data actually looked offended. “I do not appreciate the name calling.” “Yeah well I don’t appreciate you being overprotective and controlling.” She yelled and walked out of the room. Q looked at Data, “You really messed up.”
Y/N sat on the couch and thought about what happened. Did he really think that way about her? Did he really ruin a perfect opportunity for her? Sure Q was powerful and a god but he had no powers as of right now and even if he did she highly doubted that he would hurt her.
She loved Data but this really hurt her. She was a nurse for crying out loud. It was her job to take care of people. The door to their shared quarters opened and she refused to look up at him.
“I realized that you are upset at me because you wanted to be the one that showed Q what it was like to be human and I took that away from you.” Really? What gave that away? “Yeah you did.” She mumbled. He sat next to her on the couch. “I apologize. I did not mean to make it seem that you are weak or below me in any way.” She sighed and looked up at him.
“Data, I love you but you can’t hide me from pain or reality. I’m a nurse, it's my job. I love that you care about me and you want to protect me but this was too much.” “I realize that now and I am sorry. I came here to see if you wanted to join me and Q in Ten Forward.” She looked at him surprised, “You want me to go with you?” He nodded and she smiled, “Okay.” They got up and got Q before they headed to Ten Forward.
“Glad you guys made up. You guys do make a cute couple.” Y/N was surprised to hear Q say that. “Thank you.” Data said. Y/N wrapped her arm around him and smiled. Yeah they sure do.

hey guys! i want to say, im writing a new james t. kirk series that was originally kinda meant to replace the Captain series from Spring 2021, with similar plot points but doing more with it what i wanted to do with the original series, i should genuinely just mention though, they will be building off of similar plot points and may seem a bit same-y especially at the beginning of the series! don’t worry though, the original will stay posted, especially considering this newer iteration takes place in the Prime Timeline with The Original Series of Star Trek!

This is perfect!! I love your style of writing, thank you so much! ❤️❤️❤️
Heya! Can you make a cute short fic with Q? I've been obsessed with him lately, anything should be perfect!
Cultural Differences
Pairing: Q x fem!reader Fandom: Star Trek: The Next Generation Words: 2080 Warnings: Hurt/COmfort Summary: Sometimes it is better to ask for the reason for an extraterrestrial ritual. Often it is better to do this before the ritual, otherwise you will come back with an omnipotent being as your husband. A/N: Thank you so much for your request, I really hope you like it. I feel like this is not the best thing I've ever written, because I find Q difficult to write, but I really tried.
Frowning, she stared at him from narrowed eyes as she did her best to remain calm and stop herself from smacking the smug grin off his face: " I'm sorry, what?" She truly hoped she had misheard and the all-knowing being/her lover before her, had not said what she thought she had heard. "I asked when the honeymoon was scheduled to start." She was pretty sure the confusion on her face was more than evident. "Where the hell did you come up with honeymoon? You do know what that is, don't you?"
Offended, Q pursed his mouth and jumped up, clapping his hands. "Mon amour, you insult me. Of course I know what a honeymoon is. I am Q, I know everything." He stepped towards her, bent down to take her face in his hands, and smiled his most charming smile, which usually made her heart pound, but now more than upset her. "It's a time for a newly married couple, to spend together." He pulled her up an
With great effort, she tried not to let her shudder show and looked up at him sceptically. "Have you not noticed your mistake, O all-knowing Q?" Her voice was mocking, something she would never have dared to do in his presence at the beginning of their acquaintance, for fear of being turned into a frog. "Maybe I'll have to give you a bit of a jolt: Newly. Married. Only people who have just got married go on honeymoons. We're together, not married, Q."
Now it was up to him to look confused, an expression she rarely saw on his face, and would have more than enjoyed under other circumstances. "We ... are, though?" "Oh," she laughed out, having to hold onto the top of his uniform to keep from falling. "Oh no, we're not. Believe me, my dear, I would remember such a ceremony." A frown took up residence on his face and slowly her laughter died away. "But... you said that you ..." Q seemed distracted and instantly she felt bad and took his hand.
"Hey. I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings, honey. I didn't mean to say I wouldn't. It's just..." Q interrupted her. "The ceremony was three hours ago. How can you not remember that?" "What?" All humour had disappeared and she was back to confusion. "Q three hours ago we were on the planet doing this strange water ritual that the inhabitants insisted on because they believed we were the incarnations of the divine royal pair before the Captain had had a chance to... oh my God."
She stared at him from widened eyes. "Q. Please tell me we didn't get married down there." He fell silent. "Q!" "You told me not to tell you," he returned, staring at the floor in a huff, his arms crossed in front of his chest and his mouth twisted into a pout.
She was at a loss for words. Of course she loved him, they had been together for years, but this? A wedding? Without even knowing about it? She sank down on the sofa and lowered her head into her hands. Now even the stupid grin from him, throughout the ceremony made sense, or the surprisingly passionate kiss after it. For a few minutes Q was actually silent before he spoke up again. "I thought you knew." His voice was low and he sounded guilty, a register of voice she had never heard on him before. She looked up. "How the hell could I have known about this! It was a first contact mission! I thought it was some kind of welcoming ritual."
"Aren't you the ship's anthropologist?" Gradually she became more agitated and jumped up. "I like to say it again, FIRST CONTACT MISSION!!! We knew nothing about the planet except that it was warp capable, though still believed in the old gods. That was it. How was I supposed to know about this ritual?" Q started to reply, however, she waved it off with a snort. "You can save that." With long strides she walked over to her door. "Where are you going?" "To blow off steam," she hissed back, giving him a cold look as he tried to follow her. "Alone."
He stuck his chest out and leaned down to her. "I am a Q. You cannot command me mortal." His words hurt more than she had believed, yet she only jutted her chin. "Stay away from me and leave me alone for this moment so I can think or I swear I will never speak another word to you." She was angry and Q knew it, however he didn't seem to believe her. "You wouldn't be able to bear that. You love me too much for that."
All he earned was another cold stare before she continued her way down the corridor. "Mon amour?" His call reached her ears before the turbolift doors closed, yet she did not respond. For the moment, she needed her peace. Apparently Q seemed to have realised that too, because contrary to her expectations, he had not followed her into the lift, for which she was grateful to him. Q had been right. She would never in her life be able to stand not talking to him again.
Her path led her to the botanical garden and only there, on one of the benches, hidden behind one of the huge rhododendron bushes, did she allow her frustration and fear and all her other feelings to run free and ruffle her hair. Married! Her! To Q!
She wasn't arrogant enough not to admit that she hadn't imagined it at least once, however, she had usually swept those ideas aside quickly because the idea was ridiculous. Q, the Q, capricious, omnipotent and as old as time itself, as a husband who dutifully waits at home for his wife to come home, with meals cooked and quarters freshly cleaned? If she hadn't felt so much like crying, she would have laughed. Just the idea of Q in a relationship was bizarre and she was the other part of that relationship.
"Are you all right?" Startled, she started up and looked into the questioning and kind face of the android in gold uniform who was looking at her. "You look like you're not well and as a friend, I was wondering if I could offer my help." A small smile crept onto her lips. Data really was a case in point.
Sighing, she shook her head. "I'm afraid not, my friend. This is a problem between me and Q." "Ah." Data tilted his head in understanding. "You are experiencing emotional misery due to a problem in your relationship." He settled down on the bench beside her after a moment's consideration. "However, I am sure that you will overcome this crisis, as you did the many crises before it."
She glanced to the side. "I'm not so sure about that. This isn't about a prank being played or the fact that he thinks I'm a little too reckless on missions." She swallowed. "When we were on this planet, before you could bring us up, we had to participate in a ritual that was apparently a wedding ceremony. And he knew, but didn't say anything!" Date nodded slowly. "And you're upset because you don't want a marriage with him." "What? No!" "So you do desire this marriage with him?" "No!"
Data looked confused. "So you don't wish for marriage, but equally you wish for it." Again she sighed. "Data, I'm not mad about the wedding itself. I mean, sure I'm a little pissed about that too, but it's much more the fact that he didn't tell me." "You feel like he took away your choice." "Maybe." "Have you talked to him about it?"
She stared at the floor in front of her. "Not really. I rather... well... rushed out of our quarters because I needed time to myself." Data hummed in agreement and rose. "Perhaps you should talk to him about it then. Counselor Troi has explained to me that the key to a good relationship and marriage, is communication." She winced slightly at the word 'marriage', but still had to smile at the idea that her synthetic boyfriend had received relationship advice from the ship's Counselor. Whatever for. "Perhaps."
Data nodded goodbye and left her alone. For a few minutes she tried to compose herself before she spoke his name softly, barely audible. "Q." Within a split second he appeared in a flash of light before her, on his knees and his hands held into a praying pose. "Mon étoile, please forgive me. I promise you, I really believed you knew." He almost hugged her legs. "Please don't leave me alone. I can't stand this without you. I'm sorry, I really am. Tell me what you want me to do. Whatever you want me to do, I'll do it."
Shocked, she stared down at him. "Q, you haven't been alone for fifteen minutes!" Q just shook his head. "Fifteen minutes too long." She sighed and gently tugged at his curls to lift his gaze to her. "I want to talk to you. And for that, you need to be calm. Sit down, please." She gestured to the seat next to her where Data had been sitting until just a moment ago and Q complied with her request almost instantly, even seeming nervous by his standards, which made her feel a tiny bit guilty since she had never seen him so upset.
There was silence between them before Q dared to raise his voice. "Are you still angry with me?" "I don't think so." She shook her head and folded her hands in her lap. "I'm disappointed, though, Q." He let out a small whimper. "That's almost worse." "Q, I want you to understand that I'm not necessarily upset because we got married. To be honest, it's something I personally wouldn't object to." She reached for his hand and ran her thumb over the back of it. "It's how that bothers me."
"I know you believed I knew. Still, you should have asked me Q, at least to be sure. By not doing so, you took away my chance to make a decision. Not that I would have said 'no' to a wedding," she added quickly when she saw the sad expression on his face. "However, I would have preferred that if we had decided to get married, that it happened with the full and conscious consent of both of us, in the presence of the people we care about. And not on a foreign planet, surrounded by strangers who think we are incarnations of their gods."
Carefully, she pressed a kiss to the back of his hand. "I love you Q, I really do. But you must understand my point of view."
For a few moments Q was silent before he nodded slowly. "I understand you, mon amour. And I'm sorry. I should have asked and made sure you knew what you were getting into. I should have thought about the consequences my actions could bring instead of just thinking about myself and the opportunity I was presented with." "You should have," she admitted, smiling gently at him.
He smiled slightly sheepishly and she thought she had rarely seen him so shy and vulnerable. "If it makes you feel any better, the Ajghasti ceremony is not legal under Federation law anyway. So strictly speaking, we're not married after all." Relieved, she exhaled. "Thank heavens for that. I really hadn't wanted to get married like this." Q glanced to the side and she could tell he was trying to mask his hurt, so she leaned closer and rested her head on his shoulder.
"I'd really rather marry you in a decent way, surrounded by friends and family and who knows. Maybe I can get the Captain convinced to perform the ceremony." By now Q was staring at her wide-eyed. "Unless you've had enough of married life after all, after just over three hours of it."
Q jumped up, pulling her with him and twirling her around as a laugh escaped him. "Oh, mon amour, you shouldn't have said that. Now I guarantee you won't get rid of me." Dizzy from the spinning, she clung to his arms and smiled up at him. She was sure the heat had darkened her cheeks, however, her eyes shone with joy where a few minutes ago there had been anger "That was the plan."

SUMMARY:
Reader is the unfortunate pawn in Q's game... until they become the sole player.
Think
Life had been good to you lately. Not only had you just been promoted from an ensign to a lieutenant, you had also been reassigned to the Enterprise. An engineer on the flagship of the Federation. Your family was ecstatic when they heard the news.
At first you thought it would be stressful serving aboard such an important starship, but you were pleasantly surprised at how nice everyone was. The head engineer, Geordi La Forge, was definitely no nonsense when it came to work, yet every time you two spoke it felt like you both had been friends for years. Any difficulty you encountered you always had at least five people to turn to for help at any moment. The Enterprise really was as good as everyone said it was.
The living quarters alone made your jaw drop. No ship you had ever served on had quarters quite as good, nor beds quite as soft. You were truly beginning to wonder what good deeds you had done to deserve such blissful karma.
Naturally, you soon found out the hard way what the price of heaven was.
Chaos had erupted on the ship. People were being thrown around by shifting gravity, consoles around engineering were sparking, and the warp core was making a strange whirring noise that made your skull vibrate. You weren't sure what was happening exactly, only that the entity known as 'Q' was involved somehow.
That wasn't good. You had heard of Q. Everyone in Starfleet knew about the godlike entity that put humanity on trial for barbarity. You had hoped that it wouldn't appear again while you were stationed on the Enterprise, but apparently you weren't that lucky.
Geordi was yelling out to Captain Picard over the intercom while gripping for dear life to one of the consoles. You were hugged against a wall, trying to hold on from being thrown into the ceiling. Just as you lost your grip and flew forward through the air, you landed hard, face first, on a smooth metal floor. The gravity had stopped shifting. It was dark. You looked up and squinted around at what now appeared to be the interior of a shuttlecraft.
"What the...?"
You were alone. The Enterprise was nowhere in sight. You went to the shuttle console and did a quick scan of the local area.
Nothing.
No Enterprise. No planets. Nothing.
Somehow, you had been transported onto a shuttlecraft right out in the middle of nowhere. Judging by the distance of the stars from where you were, you definitely didn't have enough power to go and find a planet or moon to land on. For some reason, this was your life now.
"Better try and send a distress signal anyway," you murmered to yourself as you repeatedly tried and failed to reach Starfleet. "Never know if someone is nearby to help."
"I doubt it," a voice scoffed from the seat beside yours. You startled and snapped around to see a man dressed in a Starfleet captain's uniform. He was leaning back against the shuttle window with one leg crossed over the other and staring you down with thinly veiled contempt.
"Who the hell are you?!" you yelled, completely forgetting your Starfleet training on rules of civilised conduct in possible first contact situations. If your old tutor could see you now, all flustered and loud and rude, they would be hanging their head in shame.
The man gave a mildly amused smile. "Q," he replied. "I would apologise for snatching you from your tedious duties, lieutenant, but unless you humans now find being flung about a room to be an important part of engineering, then I think you being here is a far better use for your existence."
"You're Q?"
"Indeed I am! I know, this must be quite a spectacular moment for you. You must be asking yourself, 'what could an omnipotent being possibly want with a lowly, insignificant human such as me?' Well, as it happens, you have been randomly selected to be one of twenty crew members your dear captain has to rescue in my little game."
Panic swelled within you. "And what happens if he loses?"
"Lost forever in an alternate dimension. Everything you see out of these windows," he tapped on the glass with his index knuckle, "is all just a bubble of your own dimension put here by yours truly. I guarantee if you saw what this dimension was truly like we would be here all day scraping your poor melted brain off the floor."
You stared out of the windows at the distant stars, or at least the illusion of stars that had been put there for your benefit. You didn't know whether to be in awe of the fact that you were literally where no human had gone before or to huddle down in your seat and cry.
You did neither - not with Q sitting right next to you, scrutinising your every move like you were the sole example of your entire species and he was wondering whether or not to squish you all under his boot. He seemed relaxed, if not a little bored by you, but you didn't want to sway his opinion one way or the other. This was the single most powerful creature Starfleet had ever encountered. The last thing you wanted to do was piss it off.
"Well, while you come to terms with what's happening to you and where you are," said Q, breaking the brief silence that had fallen over the shuttlecraft as you gawked out the windows, "I'll be off talking to more interesting people. Farewell!"
With a quick wave goodbye, he vanished in a burst of white light, leaving you utterly alone. You weren't sure whether you or not you were relieved that he was gone. With a sigh, you sat back in your seat and waited.
Captain Picard was a smart and honourable man. You knew he would save you and the others, even if that meant playing whatever game Q had come up with to torment him.
Hours later and you were still waiting alone, in the dark, in the dreadful silence. You had taken to humming to yourself and inspecting your fingernails to pass the time. At the very least Q could have left you a book or some sort of indication of how long you would be waiting.
A flash of white light in the seat next to you startled you upright. Out of the brief flash appeared Q with a disgruntled look planted on his face.
"You humans," he sneered. "Honestly, I don't know why I waste my time with you! How can such a simple concept elude you all so consistently?!"
"Um... Hello to you, too?" you replied awkwardly.
Q huffed, apparently unimpressed by your response. He held up his hand and in a smaller flash of white light a deep blue spherical device appeared in his hand. He held it out to you, which you took from him without hesitation.
"Your beloved Picard has failed my game, as have all other nineteen of your stranded crew. Now it's your turn to play. If you can't figure it out, then that's it - no more chances. You're getting abandoned out here along with your nineteen other crewmates. I really can't be bothered to be charitable at this point, so you had better think hard on this."
"No pressure then," you muttered to yourself as you turned your attention down to the sphere in your hands.
There was a single screen on the front of the sphere. From what you could tell, it was touch sensitive. On the screen it read:
Unknown [?] In [?]
[?] [?] to [?] [CONFIRM]
You pondered the text for a while as Q summoned himself a book to read while he waited. Finally, after studying the text for some time, you asked.
"What dimension am I in?"
"Fourteenth," Q answered, not even bothering to look up from his book.
"Fourteenth?!" you repeated, stunned. "How many dimensions are there?!"
"More than you could possibly comprehend."
"Oh boy..."
A smirk flitted across Q's face as he studied his book. "If it's any consolation, I never really intended for you to be doing this. This was supposed to be Picard's challenge, but he failed and I guess I'm going soft. I've decided to give you all a chance to save yourselves. So far it's proving too much for all of you. Let's hope for your sake you do better than your predecessors , though I sincerely doubt it."
"Thanks for the support."
Q gave you a wide smile, completely ignoring your blatant sarcasm. "You're very welcome."
With a weary sigh, you turned back to the device in your hands. You pressed the first box in the text and a keyboard with the numbers one to nine popped up at the bottom of the screen. You pressed three. In the second box you typed fourteen. When you had exited the second box the text on the screen reloaded itself.
1 [3] in [14]
[?] [?] to [?] [CONFIRM]
"One three dimensional being in the fourteenth dimension," you confirmed.
"Congratulations," Q said half-heartedly. "You're already further than some of your comrades."
"And the second part relocates the being detected to another dimension?"
A sparkle came to Q's eye. He sat his book down on the shuttle console and peered at you with an impish smile on his lips.
"You've gotten as far as Picard, then, but how do you plan on finding all twenty of your crewmates scattered across the dimensions? You could spend the rest of your life searching, but I don't have the patience for that. Picard got to the ninth dimension before I realised he would actually sit there for years, going from dimension to dimension, until he found all twenty of you. I'm not sitting around for that."
"Can't I just...?" You pressed the second box in the text and brought up the keyboard. You had noticed earlier that there was a small black arrow in the bottom corner. You clicked it and the keyboard turned to the alphabet. You typed 'all' in the second box. When you exited the box, the text reloaded itself again. You then carefully entered the same numbers to the second part of the text.
8498512086340724549371025753 [3] in [all]
[8498512086340724549371025753] [3] to [3] [CONFIRM]
"That looks about right to me," you said, turning the screen to Q. He took one look at your work and that sparkle came to his eye again.
"You hope."
You didn't let his words deter you. You felt confident that you had it figured it out. Still, as your finger hovered over the confirmation button, you couldn't help the tiny lingering doubt that you were not only risking your life, but the life of every other three dimensional being in existence.
But that pleased look worming its way onto Q's face out of the corner of your eye said it all. You pressed the button.
Suddenly you were falling flat on your butt in the middle of the bridge, along with the nineteen other crewmembers. The bridge crew ogled all twenty of you as you all picked yourselves back up in a confused daze. Captain Picard's eyes instantly locked onto the device still clasped in your hand and relief swept over the man.
"I see Q thought it fitting to give you a chance to save yourselves," said Picard, a light smile pulling onto his face. "Lieutenant...?"
You blinked a couple of times, trying to wrap your head around the fact that you were back on the Enterprise and the captain was speaking to you directly.
"(Y/N), sir," you answered.
"Lieutenant (Y/N), of course. Well, lieutenant, I expect a full briefing of your experience on my desk by tomorrow, and that goes for the rest of you, too. For now, I'd like you all to head down to medical, and (Y/N), you can give that device to -"
In a flash of white light the device disappeared from your hand. Picard gave an exasperated sigh.
"Never mind, lieutenant. Please, head on down to medical with the others, and I'd like to add that you have my sincerest gratitude for completing Q's game."
"Yes, sir," you replied. "Thank you, sir."
Your trip to medical was quick. There had been no side effects from being trapped in an alternate dimension. You suspected that was mainly because of Q's bubble of influence. He wanted you all to solve his game, not dissolve in it.
Tired and sore after a long and unusual day, you returned to your quarters in the hopes of getting your briefing to the captain written out quickly before getting a good night's sleep. However, upon entering your room you found none other than Q himself, lazing across your bed, grinning at you.
"There you are!" he greeted cheerfully. "A trip to medical? I do hope Doctor Crusher's bedside manner has improved since I was forced to be her patient. What a dreadful time that was."
"What are you doing here?!" you asked, shocked and more than a little frightened. You thought completing his game meant that he would leave you alone, that you were safe.
"How rude!" he cried in mock offence. "I'm merely here to offer you my congratulations!"
"Oh, well... Thank you, I guess."
"Oh, don't thank me yet," he grinned, practically bouncing with excitement. "Just wait until I tell you what your reward is!"
Your stomach dropped. "R-Reward?"
"Me!" he exclaimed, sitting up on his knees and spreading his arms out wide. "From now on, I'm going to drop in all the time to make your dull little life more interesting!"
Oh no.
"But it wasn't even that hard a game!" you argued.
"Ugh!" Q rolled his eyes and put his hands on his hips. "I know! And yet you were the only one to figure it out!"
"You're telling me this is all happening because the captain didn't see an arrow on a keyboard?!"
"It's shameful, isn't it?" said Q, shaking his head. His eyes brightened. "Luckily, I have a brand new human to focus on! I'll admit, I didn't expect this outcome when we first met, but who doesn't love a pleasant surprise?" He chuckled lightly before throwing you a wink. "I'll see you soon."
In a flash of white light he was gone. You stood alone in your living quarters, alarmed and upset.
"I just wanted to be an engineer!"
