Best use of a deity’s name - God / Monster Next Door

His nickname being Godzilla made sense in the webcomic, they carried the whole fire breathing monster motif over into very cutesy cartoons but I was not expecting them to shorten his nickname even further. Giving a nickname a… nickname?? 🤔 But you know what, it freaking worked! God was a gift sent down from the heavens. He was the perfect giant puppy and the greenest green flag, really perfectly named imo.

Best jerk off scene - Fadel / The Heart Killers

Not only was this jerk off scene the most realistic one I’ve ever seen on network television—boy was done in sixty seconds!—but it was also the most realistic male orgasm I’ve ever seen. The scrunched up face, the weird grunting and huffing noises, kicking his leg, Joong came (heh) to prove a point and he did!

Best allegory for life and death - Love For Love’s Sake

From the constant water noises, to the video game visuals, the loss and gaining of points, the borrowed time, the crumbling world, the memory loss, the messages from the people left behind. When Myungha is caught between the life he lost and the second chance he was being given as he stands surrounded by darkness and water, dripping wet from his death but wearing the high school uniform from his second chance… just ugh! Perfect, absolutely beautiful.

Best fucked up family dynamic - Unknown

I love a messy family, but I love a messy found family even more. This was the perfect blend of both, with Wei Qian and Li Li being biologically related, Zhi Yuan the one they took in from the streets and Tan Yu the lifelong friend and only reason Wei Qian was able to keep a roof over their heads for so many years, it was bound to become insane. And insane it was, but in such a fantastic way. Messy forbidden love all around, arguments and fights and so much drama. But they all came out of it the other side better people, and a stronger family.

Best horniest bastards - MutRak / Love Sea

FortPeat will always deliver when it comes to high heat, and while I might have issues with the screenwriter’s… idiosyncrasies, shall we call them? Love Sea was one of her lesser offensive offerings, focusing mostly on the lust driven horn balls that were Mahasumut and Rak. Were there other plot points? Yes. Didn’t any of them matter? Not really. We all knew Mut would get his man in the end, boy put Rak under a dick spell from the first moment they met. I think this was the first QL with a canonical facefucking scene, kudos boys.

Best speedrun of feels - KanThiu / Spare Me Your Mercy

Where did the emotions come from? When did they start? Did Kan have a crush on Thiu from the stories that Thiu’s mother had told him? Neither are in the closet or into one night stands… yet they’re not dating. They have a full blown emotional relationship, before even sharing a kiss. KanThiu might secretly actually be useless lesbians and we’re all just being tricked!

Best health code violations - OabPlawan / This Love Doesn’t Have Long Beans

No amount of Purell will ever make any of those kitchens food safe, two public kitchens and one private one, those pots and pans saw some shit!

Best sudden pairing replacement - MarcPoon

When the little DV dickhead was yanked from the We Are lineup, even though half of the filming was done, I was very concerned about the series getting shelved. But instead we got MarcPoon and omg, they are quickly becoming everything to me! Why are they so perfect? The chemistry, the cuteness, I just adore them.

Most unexpected second season announcement - Pit Babe Season 2

The scream I scrumpt, okay, that’s a lie, I didn’t scream. I laughed out loud and shouted: omg they fucking did it! Which prompted the infamous ‘butt babies’ conversation with my mother, so yeah, completely unexpected but very much excited for.

Best return to the QL world - Saint Suppapong

I have never been so happy to be wrong in my life! The morning I posted my answer for one of the ‘15 Day BL Challenge’ questions where I mentioned that I wished Saint would return to BLs but I highly doubted he ever would, that same morning Idol Factory dropped the teaser the rocked the fandom. What characters would you have liked to see duel? 7th: E is for Enemy Oneshot villains like the Fallguys, the Arclights, Don Thousand? A hero’s journey is only as good as its bad guys so let’s give them some appreciation! What do you like about them? 8th: F is for Friendship What’s you favourite friendship in the series? Alternatively, what friendship would you have liked to see? What two characters would have had a good friendship? 9th: G is for Gate The gate to the Astral world can also link to other worlds. This is our crossover prompt! Throw the Zexal characters to another world/fandom you’re in at the moment or bring other characters to the world of Zexal.

12th: H is for Hobby Whether it’s a character doing your hobbies or what you have headcanoned for them, show a Zexal Character (or characters) enjoying themselves with a hobby outside of card games! 13th: I is for Icicles Whether it’s icicles because it’s winter right now or icicles as in the stuff you eat at the beach, it’s time to give our faves a treat! Throw everyone in a beach episode or in a cabin under the snow... 14th: J is for Justice (Or Jail) Tell us what you thought was unfair in Zexal or show us a character that you think should be punished. Maybe show us bringing it into your own hand… 15th: K is for KATTOBINGU Kattobingu is the will to never give up without giving it your all. It’s taking a chance and moving forward with courage. Alternatively, show us some new outfits for one or members of the Zexal crew! 22nd: P is for Powers Photon mode, Barian transformations, Arclight crests, ZEXAL. Zexal has so many powers in the show. Also Disclaimer: I know I've left out a few classics and fan-faves, but if I went on any longer I'd just be telling Anon to read all of them.

Ongoing Disclaimer: Some of these are classics and enduring stories... and some of these are dumb fun that I really loved. You're just going to have to arrest me.

Star Trek: TOS

The Price of the Phoenix and The Fate of The Phoenix are like... not good exactly but if you're into Kirk and Spock at all you really should read them. Mostly just so you know when people mention them, but also because no one believes me when I tell them how completely over the top gay they are and how apparently no one called them on it at any point before they were publised.

The New Voyages and the New Voyages 2 are anthologies and both have some really fun short stories in them.

Enterprise by Vonda MacIntyre

Spock's World by Diane Duane - this is just classic, if you're into TOS or Spock at all, you should read this one. It's very good too, Diane Duane is extremely good and her ST:TOS novels are extremely true to the characterization.

My Enemy, My Ally by Diane Duane - I cannot recommend this one strongly enough holy shit just read it even if you aren't super into TOS. I read this as a little kid and it was the first "adult" Star Trek book I had read and it blew my tiny mind. Also the story is just so good, and it has a lot of great moments with the supporting cast, and some phenomenal original characters.

The Vulcan Academy Murders by Jean Lorrah is one of my favorites of all time. I still own a copy and have replaced it several times. Excellent Kirk & Spock interactions, a good plot, and interesting supporting characters. She also wrote The Idic Epidemic which is another good one set on Vulcan.

Windows on a Lost World by V. E. Mitchell - this one had a lot of Chekov, who was my favorite after Spock ^_^

Memory Prime by Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens

Shell Game by Melissa Crandall - this is another one I still own and reread to this day. Also lots of Chekov ^_^

Ice Trap, Death Count and Firestorm by LA Graf - they tend to write about Chekov, Sulu and Uhura and I really enjoy the friendship between them. Also they liked to really put Chekov through the wringer and I was all about that.

The Great Starship Race by Diane Carey

There are The Lost Years books, which take place between the TV show and the first movie which explain everyone's new ranks and what they've been up to.

I remember really liking the Millennium series by Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens but I cannot for the life of me remember what happened in it aside from the fact that it was about an alternate universe so take that as you will.

Fallen Heroes by Dafydd ab Hugh was my jam for a while there, I read it to pieces.

I also really liked the Mirror Universe books, but that's about when I stopped reading.

I never read any novels for Voyager or the newer series so this is where I have to give up.

There are so many other good ones that didn't get mentioned - anything by AC Crispin, for example, and Brad Ferguson wrote a really good one about Kirk's Admiral days.

Do you have a favourite Billy Joel concert that you watch when you want to cheer up. ( Bonus if you feel like it: your fave interview)

My favorite concerts to watch are Live at Yankee Stadium and Live from Long Island! Yankee Stadium is my ultimate favorite because the first time I watched it I got chills and I was like "I knew he was good but I didn't know he was this good." But Live from Long Island feels like an easier watch somehow so I'm more likely to put that one on to cheer up. The Russia concert film is also very good, it has crazy energy so it's good for cheering up. I also like The Millennium Concert and sometimes I just watch the Piano Man clip because it's so funny:

I also love the documentary A Matter of Trust: the Bridge to Russia and The Last Play at Shea documentary.

I have a lot of favorite interviews. I'm very fond of any of the Howard Stern ones. I like this one a lot:

I've listened to a couple of radio interviews I really liked; in general I like those. When I want to cheer up I usually go for any interview from the early 70s because I just love how young he sounds.

🔸Name?🔸 "Contrary to popular belief, it's not a pasta brand, but I would neither confirm or deny any guesses."

There's been wild rumors that he's changed his name to Vitoli or Viagra (Jackie's fault for that one) but nope, his name's still Vincent. His last name's Woodman or some other boring generated name hospitals print out for babies with no parents claiming them, so he never went by it. Great decision on his end, cus "Vincent Woodman-or-similarly-boring-sounding-last-name" sounds more like an accountant than a cool merc.

🔸Nickname?🔸 "Just V."

Before Atlanta, some 'friends' burned him and used him as scapegoat for a gig and he landed in prison because of it. His efforts to erase the records and leave much earlier than his sentence bankrupted him; but he got out and decided to wipe his slate clean. What better way to start a new life than with a new (technically just chopped down) name?

Cis male. But he thinks it's weird if people gotta ask that.

This is totally not a cop-out cus i haven't played phantom liberty and therefore am still unsure when is his canon birthday. Either way he doesn't care about it that much.

173cm is NOT 5'8, he's lying or simply getting it wrong, and frankly for night city denizens, that's more amusing to ponder than his height.

Sometimes his excitement at the prospect of getting laid by hot men and women makes him forget to act cool and nonchalant about being bi.

🔸Nationality/Ethnicity?🔸 "I mean I'm pretty sure I gotta be somewhat white, but never knew the detes. Not gonna pay a corpo for them to tell me about it either, cus what do they know?"

He has a paler complexion, but sometimes his features on the right lighting kinda play tricks on you. With him being from Heywood and no parents to speak of, he has no idea if he could actually be part Hispanic or Asian or any other ethnicity. Obviously, he could pay to get some 2077 "hyper-accurate" version of 23andMe but he thinks that's bull and way too easy to fake. Totally just that and not cus he gave up on the idea of biological families anyways, nope.

🔸Fave fruit?🔸 "I dunno, never really had anything 'ganic 'cept some grapes and they were really sour, so probably not those. Pears are okay, I guess."

🔸Fave season?🔸 "Winter. Atlanta sucked but they had better winters."

Atlanta's winter was colder than Night City's, so the idea of spending the holidays just cold and broke with crippling loneliness sounded too horrible. He attempted to avoid this by treating himself to a 'real' white christmas experience, tried ice skating and making snow bunnies when it did snow and got hot chocolate and even bought himself some overpriced present and all that. Atlanta didn't work out, but he did like winter coming out of it, and he gets nostalgic of it when the holiday season come around.

🔸Fave flower?🔸 "Sunflowers. Oh, but cherry blossoms are really pretty too, even when they're just holos."

He doesn't tell this story much, but when he got out of prison, the field next to the road was riddled with dying sunflowers. Nothing welcomed him out of the gutter but those shriveled plants right next to ones that were done blooming couple weeks ago. If he had been able to get out earlier, he could've seen at least some of them in bloom. It should be a bitter thought and memory, but he found walking next to them very comforting. He has a soft spot in his heart for them ever since.

🔸Coffee, tea, hot chocolate?🔸 "Well not coffee, and not tea, so I guess hot chocolate it is. Actually, you have that iced?"

He used to think he's a coffee guy but dating Kerry made him realize the canned coffee he drinks are just sugar with a hint of caffeine flavor. (he hated the black ganic stuff Kerry drinks but powered through that One Time) In general though, he likes cold drinks more than hot ones.

🔸Average hours of sleep🔸 "I'd like to say 8 but I know that'd be lying. Probably closer to 5 or 6."

Don't get him wrong, he gets on the bed. He just scrolls his phone for hours after and doesn't sleep immediately when he gets on it is the problem. He falls asleep closer to 2-3AM, then wakes up at 8 or 9. This is a real issue if he stays the night over with Panam at camp, since the Aldecaldos are mostly early birds.

🔸Dog or Cat person?🔸 "Oh cat, definitely. Have you seen my cat Nibbles?" *queues up 100+ picture slides of her directly to your holo*

🔸Dream trip?🔸 "Antarctica, maybe? Heard it's kinda peaceful over there, and it'd be even colder than Atlanta so hell yeah, could get all cozy, bundled up and waddle around there for a bit."

to reiterate this post , he found a copy of Toy Story 4 and made fun of how Duke Caboom sounded like a chipper, Canadian version of Johnny. Then the whole 'guy who failed a stunt and got thrown in the trash because of it, is actually deeply terrified about the entire experience but still continues to be a happy dude' hit too close to home.

🔸Number of blankets they sleep with🔸 "??? People sleep with multiple blankets??"

Just one. He gets too cold even with it when he gets even sicker from the relic, so he sleeps with fuzzy socks too now. The idea of two blankets for one person never occurred to him.

🔸Random fact🔸 "Okay, I'm only gonna tell you this 'cus I'm back in Night City, and enough time has passed that no way anyone can actually get anything to stick to me... but back in Atlanta, I used to crash weddings. Not even for gigs, was just trying to avoid spending eddies on meals. It's really easy to just sneak in, especially if you wear some black cardigan, or flash a digital lanyard, or just walk really fast and with purpose. They just assume I'm part of the event organizer or one of the catering team, and let me in. Then you just act like you've been invited, grab a plate and mingle with some guests who don't look important. Was better entertainment than BDs too, hearing all the stuff about the bride and groom from different tables. Sometimes I just let slip some gossip I heard from another group to the current one I'm mingling with, and shit would hit the fan real quick, which means I get to delta nice and quiet. I wish I could stay for more of 'em, Atlanta weddings end a lot more in fist-fights than Night City ones, that's for sure."

Yeah so he might not know or realize this detail, but he most definitely was the reason those fist-fights happen and was part of the reason for the spike in divorce rate in Atlanta for a bit.

I am disappointed.

There were some things I was expecting to see; Like new RENDITIONS of ALL of the song.

RE-RECORDINGs, UNPLUGGED, REMIX, new VIBE for sex drive, new VIDEOS for songs that were not singles, official lyrics and VISUALIZERS and some UNRELEASED. Suffocate is from 2015 but fits the nu-metal genre he mentioned on Pistolero. It even goes well with Roulette. Lana del Rey song, she just posted one with Quavo, rapper from ATL who too had with Migos the whole Latino vibe going on. Their collab went well with Waste Love too.

A music video for El Diablo PT2 & an update on the lyrics of songs like Burning Memories. A PT2 to his comic book. A photography COFFEE TABLE BOOK from 2018 & 2019 when he looked like a whole Papi. A listening party at an actual 'hotel Diablo' lounge. Cleveland has plenty of beautiful Downtown Art Deco restaurants he is rumored he already have fully rented for other private and public occasions. If he wanted a haunted vibe, there are also plenty of abandoned SAFE Art Deco Buildings Downtown CLE he could have rented, he has direct contacts with the mayor afterall.

Even the merch is not original, could have added cigars and cigarette cases and a line of short sleeve shirts.

Maybe pre-recorded interviews or Q&As and skits could have been nice touch to add.

This was supposed to be big deal. This was his fave album.

I feel like as long as he is with MF, he cannot make the free unapologetic art he wants, he has to walk on land mines to keep the twin flame image alive.

The thing I like the most is the fact he called this part two a Floor 13 EDITION. This makes me hope there will be other editions in the future. Maybe there is the chance he can base full albums on songs out of HD.

I think calling it a part 2 was definitely misleading because I was expecting an entirely new album altogether. If anything he should have called it an extended version or re-release of HD with a bonus track. I also think he wasn't expecting the sort of indifferent reaction to the tracklist, because on his insta story he offered another song with no clear instruction on how to get it. More like come up with your own goal and make it happen, but that's not really clear considering everyone has different versions of what they're able and willing to do.

sequins! reminds me of long hours rehearsing and competing, some of my favorite memories from my childhood. plus they are just texturally very satisfying.

right now - summer is coming. because i am cold and desperate for warmer weather. i always go back to 🔥⛺ which is all my indie folk music (perfect for a bonfire!).

I hope people realize that while yes, q!bbh killed a bunch of people in purgatory and acted unfairly, that was the point of purgatory and that their faves isn't free of being innocent either - because people think that his amnesia just for him to get away from the consequences but the demon literally went through a nuke and had head trauma before - only now it got much worse, I don't know what else they want because the amnesia/memory loss makes sense to me? The memory issue has been there for a while 😭 people really need to watch others povs before judging

yep memory loss is not only character-accurate for his demon lore (he and mouse even referenced it!) but its something his character has clearly been struggling with for months now. also amnesia IS a consequence of his actions: he's suffering for his decision to experiment with soul vultures and for not escaping the island in time to avoid the nuke.

also the "q!bbh needs consequences" argument is so annoying bc cc!bad is clearly giving his character consequences by having him slowly die for months now. if other characters dont want to give him "consequences", then thats on THEM. thats a decision ccs separate from bbh make, and cc!bad shouldn't and doesn't have power over that. q!bad has lost a ton of trust in the island, even if he still has friendships and that in itself is a consequence!. idk people are too obsessed with having qbad's repercussions being overt or obvious, they want a fanfic salt moment where characters just gather together to yell at q!bad. but thats not realistic and its boring and its bad writing!

Favorite we are character or scene?

i love this question, nani <3 thank you so much, i saved it for a day filled with rendering and eye straining but it's been five days now so ill sit comfortably and think about it

I'll start off with the fact I'm a very out of sight out of mind type of person, i could be banging my head against the wall cause of a scene but have no reaction if it's mentioned in the future soo I'm definitely not going diligently through my memory for this hahah

my fave characters are phum, q, chain and pun - phum is a bit too relatable on top of being really sweet and q had me shocked at how solid of a crush I had on him in the earlier episodes. as for chain -he is the bestest friend there imo, he has the serious level-headed look at times but he's always in for shenanigans; he did a play in two acts just for q to admit what everyone already knew and he enjoyed getting into the role despite the fact q made out with his supposed crush and came out all smug about it (I'd be gnawing on his face); he is just chill and fun and so so caring, he will barely put up a fight and he'll scold pun just out of obligation, he's also super gentle with him and the domestic dynamic they have is partially because of chains reliable nature. smart dental student who finds time for his studies, his friend's and pun (and his random ideas) in particular. just a solid guy, 10/10 [if he'd do something about moving this stoic ship it'd be great][and he's not too observant but he has his own romance to care about and, again, he seems to be one of the few putting in the work to get that degree]

and punnn, I have a soft spot for him because poon is just perfect, in the hands of the wrong actor a character like this could really be insufferable but pun pouts a bit and opens his eyes as wide as he can and you root for him completely. I liked him since episode one (had that relatable factor about him as well but most of us aren't lucky enough to have someone clean up our messes the second they happen lol)

I'd say it's between phum and chain, I like them in different ways. also the teacher we saw in exactly two episodes (who is now also a teacher in mlmu hahah) was cool and so is ciize's character who seems like a cameo atp

now, for a fave scene... ive giffed a few so you could think it's any one of them but actually I'm still stuck on episode ..1? 2? when they grab each other's hair and phum's thumb lingers over peem's ear. I go wild for that scene every single time cause it took you this little?? getting yelled at, a kick to the balls, some banter and physical contact?? baby you were desperatee desperate 💕

now looking back it makes perfect sense, the guy is touch, attention and affection starved so the amount of contact and time spent with peem was overwhelming ..but watching it back then was like oh. pick your jaw up cause peem is not catching the signals anywayss

there are plenty plenty of scenes I liked from friendship stuff to romantic lines like "so you mustn't forget mine" but this one i keep being reminded of so 🙂‍↕️

Ichigo! For the character Ask Game!

Ichigo! I got excited and started linking my fics like I had to prove my answers. Honestly, it’s just making me realise what things I like that I haven’t written(/finished ;-;;;).

How I feel about this character

Deserves the best—love him. I feel like by default, we or maybe just I, tend to pick a favourite character from the cast minus the main character (‘Who’s your favourite Bat? Batman doesn’t count’). So I’ve always considered it a funny little testament to Ichigo’s likability that a list of my fave Bleach characters will always include this guy.

Hot as shit, smarter than he’s given credit.

All the people I ship romantically with this character

Grimmjow OTP. Rukia. Sometimes Shinji. But he’s the fandom bicycle, so I’m very open on this front—e.g. Aizen, several Gin fics, a hastily thrown-together Soifon fic (NSFW, 700w), Byakuya.

My non-romantic OTP for this character

Isshin—I don’t care if I’m boring. I love this canon father-son relationship and no moment in Bleach ever breaks me as hard as the Fullbringer Arc scene where Ichigo thinks his dad has betrayed him too.

Honourable mentions: Kurosaki family wildness (1k, I do actually write fic sometimes okay). Ichigo/Renji brotp (or romantically). Ichigo/Kon—underrated brothers (gets a mention in the Kurosaki family fic). Chad. Actually, I love writing fics where Ichigo gets DMC’d by Shinji (exhibit: one of my fave parts of this 3k Ginjo/Ichigo fic is pretending it’s about pies when it’s actually Shinji therapising Ichigo and accidentally himself).

My unpopular opinion about this character

I can’t enjoy grimdark/Fuck you World and especially my Dad and Comrades But Mostly My Dad!Ichigo depictions. Which is fine, that just means I’m not the target audience. However, this is my post, and I’ll soapbox if I want to, so here’s: My Unpopular Opinion about Bleach Fanon.

Vengeful versions of him don’t make sense to me beyond an in-the-moment Hollowfied rage situation. Frankly, his struggle to commit in battle to killing Aizen really hammers in just how much he is not at all in it to hurt people. He beat Grimmjow in a fight and then saved his life while injured. He spent his entire final fight with Aizen sombre about having to kill a man whose heart he fully understood.

And yeah, I don’t really think it’s a failure of canon to not have him idk sit down with everyone he knows and say “You were mean to me”, cos I think fandom has a very selective memory and lens with which they approach a text/story.

Like, I don’t think Ichigo stumbles into relationships eyes shut, I think he is incredibly aware and able to be vulnerable. Kinda like that Doctor Who quote: “Do you think that I care for you so little that betraying me would make a difference?” Except it’s him letting Ukitake not disclose what the badge does, not interrogating his dad on what he’s doing with Urahara, being determined to help Rukia and Orihime and frankly Renji and more in spite of their opinions on it.

Anyway, I love him.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

More skilful fighting that isn’t just a big panel spread and power—sorry Kubo. More of the tactical close-combat fighting or the tricks Zangetsu taught him. Boy’s a genius, lemme see that shit.

Alternatively, would accept Grimmjow meeting DILF!Ichigo and having a conniption.

silly q but what is my sims

ITS NOT SILLY DW!!! mysims is a series of games that were made for the wii and ds, and they r so so so important to me bc they were a huge part of my childhood <33 i even have ocs for each one bc they r everything to me. i’ll explain each one quickly under the cut :]

OKAY SO. there’s six games in total: the original is just called mysims, and then there’s mysims kingdom, agents, skyheroes, racing, and party <3

original mysims is an animal crossing kind of deal!! your character (customisable w both name and appearance) is what’s called an essence user - essentially someone who can use various elements around the world in order to build and create things. you’re called by mayor rosalyn to rebuild a town that was abandoned by its previous essence user and is now mostly deserted. the gameplay consists of moving sims in, and completing tasks for them where they ask you to build them things for their homes!! each sim belongs to a different interest group, like the personality groups in ac: there’s fun, cute, spooky, tasty, studious, and geeky. the type of sims you move in will affect what things they ask for (as in, cute sims will ask for things made with cute essences as opposed to spooky ones)

kingdom is similar to the original in that you’re completing tasks for people!! it’s a little more story based though: your character, a pig herder, is encouraged by your friends to apply to be the kingdom’s wandolier, which is pretty much the same concept as an essence user except this time you get a sick ass wand to go with it 💪 when you win the competition, you and your friends are asked by the king to go to island to island and improve morale around the kingdom, helping people with their problems and building things that they need. there’s also a few collection quests which i really like!! throughout the game you’re asked by various characters to collect figurines, flowers, fish, and pieces of armour! my second fave game of the series :]

AGENTS IS MY LOVE ITS MY COMFORT GAME OF ALL TIME. your character is a detective who longs for a real mystery to solve, and you get the chance when you’re hired as a special agent. one of the cases you get is from a woman named evelyn, whose house has been broken into. as you investigate and figure out what was taken, you realise it relates to a man from the first case you solved - when a man named morcubus attempted to steal a girl’s dog, and you proved the dog wasn’t his. through your cases you travel to various places (snowy mountains, industrial city, dinner party in a gothic mansion) and try to discover what morcubus is planning and how evelyn is connected to him. it’s my fave one of the series if you can’t tell 🫶

skyheroes is a piloting/shooter game where your character is found by a rebel group after crashing on a beach and developing amnesia! you join the group that saved you and learn they’re fighting a war against morcubus (he’s everywhere honestly) since he’s taken control of the skies and is now restricting people’s travel and trading. throughout the story you have to get other pilot groups to join your cause and rally against morcubus, while trying to find out who you were, what memories you lost, and how you came to be shot from the sky and crashed on the beach. i rlly love this one but i am yet to fully get through it bc despite enjoying it immensely i suck absolute dick at it

racing is. well. a racing game. it’s similar to simpsons hit and run in a way, with the missions being to drive around collecting things or racing against npcs. the plot is that your character is an aspiring racer, and is learning to properly race in a town called speedville (yeah) which is mostly abandoned since the previous star racer mysteriously left. you enter the championships and begin living your dream as a racer, but are soon met with morcubus (i’m telling you. everywhere) who’s trying to overtake speedville in order to use it for his own company and is attempting to stop you from winning any races so you can’t give speedville its glory back

party is kind of a mario party vibe!! it again begins with having to rebuild a rundown town, but this time you do it through entering festivals and winning at the minigames :] <- going to b real i do not have too much to say abt this one. there’s a character called mc emi who is my best friend ever tho

HP rare pairs

As most of you know Harry/Teddy is my fave rare pair and I have to thank @lqtraintracks for gently introducing me to this ship with the hot and sweet When It Alteration Finds. I adore the mix of gender swap + mild dub con (is it tho) + wall sex, and this Teddy, LQT’s Teddy, owns my whole heart. Years later their work continues to shape my perception and feelings about this beloved ship ♥️

I’ve read a bunch of Snarry PWPs for the sake of problematic smut when I was younger, but the fic that really made my heart beat faster and sold me on this ship was Cybele’s series If You Are Prepared. It might have been the first tragedy novel I’ve read and the final arc left a big impression on me, I still remember the utter devastation and heartbreak.

Aim For My Heart written by a talented 🐯 has lived rent free in my head and heart since 2021 and brought so many hidden feelings to the surface, not only about Dronarry but also about myself. I consider it a perfect fic when it comes to poly negotiations and a seminal work for this triad: nuanced, complicated but full of longing and tenderness. I measure all triad fics I read by this one.

Other fandoms

I’ve only watched S1 / S2 of Supernatural and never really considered exploring the fandom - until I accidentally stumbled upon Dollylux’s masterpiece The Ballad of the Invisible Boy and was utterly ruined for any other ship that wasn’t Wincest (sorry, Destiel!).

Blue-Eyed Monster by Only_1_Truth had me completely obsessed with Bond/Q (007) one paragraph in. I remember being so captivated after reading this fic that I immediately binged all of their works.

Delayed (or, Why Kakashi Is Never On Time) by TJ_Dragonblade is a feral PWP that made me go all 🤯 and consider Kakashi/Gai (Naruto) for the first time. I am picky about this ship and don’t read them very often but I was able to find some amazing fics and this one is still one of my favourites, I reread it all the time.

It always amazes me that medical personnel have no medical first aid training outside of their tech. If tech is so automated that anyone can use it, specialists at least should be trained in what to do if an emergency renders tech useless. They don't know what a splint is, FFS.

2033 and 2079- when the flag had 52 stars. Puerto Rico and DC statehood in the next 9? It's possible.

2x13- Time Squared

In the beginning, they seemed to be establishing a 'time travel always happened' explanation of time travel that seemed to track with Pike in SNW and the red lights in Disco, but by the end of the episode, I'm not so sure anymore.

Why would surgeons wear full red (and no masks!) Of course this is a bloodless show, so they're not gonna show splatter anyway. But apparently they don't have to cut anymore either. How you replace a heart without cutting I do not know.

They really should have asked the women's opinions about the arrangement first, though. There's like 3 of them and they have to have multiple children via multiple men. That sounds like my nightmare.

2x20- Emissary

Half-Klingon, huh? Humans really are the sluts of the universe. I usually see this kind of thing (there are half-elves and half-orcs, but always half-human, etc.) explained as humans are naturally more diverse within our race compared to other races which means we're more capable of inter-species breeding. You never see the same diversity of skin tone, size, features, personality, etc. in fantasy/sci-fi races as you do in real humans (partially because they have to be recognizable as Vulcan/elf/Klingon/halfling, etc.)

2x21 Peak Performance

One of my fave TNG gifsets here- It is possible to make no mistakes and still lose.

Isn't it funny how fire can be a symbol of destruction but also a means of purification? Symbolism is such an interesting thing. I know I feel a bit cleansed mentally after burning some stuff tho.
