( 🩷 ) Q&A — ask questions about me and/or things you want to know (gossip, advice, childhood stories, experiences, etc) please be respectful <3
favourite season?
( 🩷 ) Q&A — 1K SPECIAL
favorite season? — i’m too invested and the first thing i thought was “my favorite f1 season? umm” and my answer to that would be 2012, probably, but i know you don’t mean f1 seasons so…
i think it really depends if i’m in france or in chile by those times. in france, the northern aesthetic of it will fall perfectly, nevertheless, since chile is in the southern hemisphere, when it’s summer up there it’s winter in chile, and vice versa with each season. so, when i’m in france i would say winter, when in chile i prefer autumn <33

Press con questions that weren't shown:
Q: (Jenna Fryer – Associated Press) George, were you guys blindsided by this or have any idea that it was coming or under consideration, that a change in Race Director was coming? GR: No, no idea whatsoever. So, yeah, as I said, it was a bit of a bit of surprise.
Q: (Luke Smith – The Athletic) George, has there been any response from the FIA or the FIA president to what the GPDA put out? GR: No. Not at the moment, which I'm a little bit surprised about, to be fair. But maybe there'll be something to come. Who knows?
Q: (Ben Hunt – Autosport) It's obviously very disappointing to learn from you that there's no transparency at all from the FIA. Was there any response about where the money's going from for all these fines and all that sort of stuff? Because that's another key element which we would quite like to know as well. GR: No, I think ultimately for us, when we were hearing from the FIA a couple of years ago, when it came to the Presidential elections, they were talking about transparency, talking about where the money is going to be reinvested into grassroots racing, which we're all in favour for. And of course, when it comes to some of these large fines, there's a number of drivers on the grid who can comfortably afford these fines. There's maybe some rookies on the grid that if they're handed a $1 million fine, you know, they can't afford this. But if we know where that's being sort of reinvested and if it's going into grassroots or into some training programs, then we get it. As I said, I think we just want the transparency and understanding of what was promised from the beginning.
Q: (Kevin Scheuren – Motorsport-total.com) A question to George as well on that topic. Isn't it a bad sign that you need to open up a social media account to make your voices heard as a collective? Because it sometimes seems, looking from the outside, that the individual, if the individual has an opinion on stuff, he faces repercussions. Now you have to work as a collective. Are you more or less a pawn in this game? Do you drivers feel sometimes more or less as a pawn in this game, not taken serious? GR: I think we've probably learned from the past that whenever we have spoken up, let's say internally, it hasn't gone anywhere. And as I said, as drivers, we only want the best for the sport. We want to improve it, especially on safety grounds, but whenever it comes to, you know, decisions in the race, we only want to help. And it's been a couple of years now that not much has changed when we have sort of given some views forward. And I guess we all wanted to show that we are collectively united. And maybe that will show how seriously we feel as a whole on the subject.
Q: (Andrew Benson – BBC Sport) George, it's been seven years since the GPDA had put out a public statement of this kind about something they were concerned about. What level of confidence do the drivers have in the leadership of the FIA at the moment? GR: I mean, I'm not too sure to be honest. We recognise everybody's working as hard as they can to do the best job possible. There is obviously a huge amount of change within the FIA quite regularly, so it's clearly not the most stable of places. And maybe that's why it's been a bit challenging to get some of the changes that we've wanted implemented. Of course, everyone has their own side to their own story. But as I said, I think if we feel that we're being listened to and some of the changes that we are experiencing, requesting, are implemented, because ultimately we're only doing it for the benefit of the sport, then maybe our confidence will increase. But yeah, I think there's a number of drivers who feel probably a bit fed up with the whole situation. And it only seems to be going in, to a degree, the wrong direction.
Q: (Jordan Bianchi – The Athletic) For all three drivers: you returned to Vegas this year. A year ago, there was a lot of hype and excitement about this race. I'm curious, now that you come back here for a second time, what's the atmosphere like that you guys have kind of experienced so far? Kevin, let's start with you.
GR: Yeah, I mean, it definitely feels strange, this Grand Prix, just living in the night. And like Kevin says, the atmosphere builds up during the course of the weekend. So, yeah, let's see how it goes.
Q: (Anna Cordera – Momentum Racing) George, I'd like to ask you, you've been racing with Lewis for almost three years. What do you think is going to be different now you being the veteran of the team racing with Kimi, regarding the development of the car? GR: Yeah, I mean, ultimately, for most F1 teams, you have near on 1,000 people who are working towards building these two cars, yet you only have two drivers driving it. So, I think, let's say, in Lewis, in my case, it was never that Lewis had a stronger voice. The team listened to us both equally because both of our opinions were extremely important. And the same going into next year. You know, Kimi's new. He's fresh. And I'm sure he's going to have a lot of great ideas to bring to the table. So, you know, I am the more experienced of the two, but we will both get equal voices the same way, and we will both equally contribute towards the development the same way as it was with Lewis and I.
Q: (Ian Parkes – New York Times) Sorry, another question to you, George. George, is it that difficult to try and get a sit-down face-to-face meeting with the President of the FIA to discuss all these issues, that you have to go down the route that you did with that message? GR: It's definitely not difficult to get a sit down, but I think getting things to change or getting promises upheld seems slightly more challenging. So, it's maybe the FIA or the president didn't recognise how seriously we all felt. So I think that's why over the course of 20 races this year and also even last year we spoke about a number of topics, all of the drivers, we all feel pretty similar. We all know what we want from the sport and the direction it's been heading and we probably feel that we want to do a small U-turn on a number of topics and just want to work together with the FIA on this. And that's just what we've felt has not been happening at all, at least directly from the President.

Don't mind me I just saw the tags that you used, but yes they are in fact scars on his hand😈 (terrible oc parent here but he wouldn't be my child if there wasn't some form of spice)
Little ref that I made up quickly last night (reblogging just so everyone can see tehee🤭) it came out a bit more vibrant than I wanted but he has burn scars on his hands from helping a fellow driver out of a car after an accident which resulted in Nik getting burnt, both were okay and if it weren't for him may have been a different story (random little fun fact he's also left-handed)
Wanted an excuse to draw Nik's hands (subtle lore hinting here hehe)

Welcome to Marchtian 2025!!!
This is a brand new prompt fic and art event centred around one of the most famous teammates in Formula 1 history: The little German twink Sebastian Vettel and Aussie Grit's Mark Webber! They are also known in the F1 RPF community by their pairing names: Martian and Sebmark!
There are 31 prompts to choose from, one for each day in March. You can interpret these prompts however you like: You can have Mark and Seb as best friends, best enemies, or as a romantic/married couple, and you can put them in any situation you like (AU or canon compliant); the choice is yours!
Here’s the full list:
All creators are welcome to participate in the event: Writers, artists, GIF makers, collage creators, animators; you name it! When you’re ready to publish, remember to tag us by using the hashtag #Marchtian 2025 and/or post your work to the AO3 collection, which can be found here! Make sure to tag your works appropriately before you publish.
FAQ TIME!
Q: Do I have to do every single prompt?
A: Nope! You can choose as many as you like! Any or all prompts; it’s completely up to you! And you can interpret these prompts however you like.
Q: Do Seb and Mark have to be the main characters?
A: Yes. You can include other characters and ships if you want, but the primary focus MUST be on Seb and Mark.
Q: Can I write about/do art for characters from other racing categories such as the junior Formula series and other motorsports series such as Moto GP, ROC, WRC, and Le Mans?
A: Yes, as long as the main focus is on Seb and Mark.
Q: What about sports that don’t involve motor vehicles such as tennis and hockey?
A: The same rules apply!
Q: Do I have to sign up to join?
A: No sign-up form is required to join.
Q: Are we allowed to share snippets of our work on sites such as Tumblr?
A: Yes! You're allowed to share snippets, just make sure you choose ones that don't reveal too much of the story/stories you're working on.
Q: What's the minimum word count for fics?
A: That’s completely up to you! There’s no limit on how long or short you want your fic(s) to be.
Q: Can my fic have multiple chapters?
A: No. Oneshots only, please! However, if you’re thinking of writing a standalone sequel to an existing fic, then that’s allowed.
Q: What kind of art is allowed?
A: Absolutely anything you like: Traditional pen/pencil on paper, paintings, collages, manips, GIFs, animations… any kind of art is allowed!
If you have any more questions or concerns, don’t be afraid to send me an ask. 💙
I will reblog this post a month, a week, and then a day before the 1st March as a reminder, which is when the event officially begins.
Have fun!!! 🇩🇪💙🇦🇺

post-race press conference, GP Spain, 2024
Q: (Kevin Scheuren – Motorsport-Total.com) A question is to Lewis and Lando. Of course, I don't want to discredit you becoming driver of the day today, but Max is bringing in victory after victory, and there were slight boos at the podium as well. So would you say that there is a lack of appreciation for the accomplishments that Max has in the general public from time to time?
LN: No. It's difficult to say, I think. I mean, it's never a nice thing, honestly. People are always going to boo, I think, no matter what. You have it in every sport. You support people and you don't support other people. I think it's happened in sport for years and years and years. And Max is winning every race, so people are not going to like that. And it definitely makes the sport less exciting, but that's just because he's doing a good job. There's a fine line. I think everyone within the sport appreciates it and respects it. You have to. And I think everyone does. But people who don't know the most about motorsport are probably not going to be able to appreciate as much because they don't know what really goes into it and what it takes to be in a position and do what he's doing. So... Yeah, I don't know. You're always going to have boos is my thing. And I think there's a level of disrespect and respect in any version of disrespect. I don't think that's OK. But yeah, I mean, I'm trying to not dig a hole for myself here. I just think, whatever. I would say no. I think people appreciate what Max has done. I think people maybe should appreciate more. But every driver is going to get boos at some point.
LH: What was the question? Well, I mean, honestly, I'm not really a lot on social media or reading the news. So in terms of being like, I don't really, I'm not tapped into that to know exactly. But on the race weekends, he always has a huge crowd always. So he's always got amazing support. And at the end of the day, he does a fantastic job. Every weekend, he delivers. And he's got a great team and obviously a great car. But you can't fault him.
#kevin 🤝#headlines on some dutch motorsport sites said lando and lewis stood up for max in the press conference.#and so i went to watch and this was it 🤔#but the answer is yes.#and no this amount of booing has not happened since forever in f1#other than that 🤐#f1#max verstappen#lando norris#lewis hamilton#my post

Q: “Many people don’t entirely understand the fascination of Formula One. What does it for you?” George Harrison: “It’s the many different, amazing people and their ongoing soap opera that I can view closely without having any direct responsibility for. It beats Coronation Street.” Q: “If you had never picked up a guitar, would you have wanted to be a Formula One driver? Or are you happy simply being involved with the crossover between rock-and-roll and F1?” GH: “I don’t think so. I have played guitar with Damon (Hill) and Jacques Villeneuve, drums with Eddie Jordan and taught Gerhard Berger the ukulele… but the Formula One supergroup I am really in is called FLB with Norbert Haug (Mercedes Motorsport director) on accordion and lederhosen. I hear Max (Mosley, president of the FIA) and Bernie (Ecclestone) are thinking of joining…” - The Times, March 2000 (x)

i bought that fucking nhl.tv thing so i can watch you play
you better give me something worth my money
from jack:

from jack:
guess i have to really give it my all this season
promise i won’t disappoint you
to jack:
don’t think you will
i don’t know shit about hockey but i hope they’ll show you often
from jack:
is this a cue for me to do lots of weird shit so i’ll be on camera?
to jack:
i mean i won’t say no to seeing you fight
that would put you on broadcast for sure right?
but like i’ll watch anyways
i’ll just not understand anything
from jack:
i’ll teach you
i can’t promise you a fight tho
to jack:
well that’s too bad
you’d probably look really hot
i kinda have to go now
i’ll be dead tired tomorrow
from jack:
you should stay up
i wanna keep flirting with you
to jack:
i guess i’ll have to get used to it anyway
your games start at 12am uk time
i’ll never sleep another full night ever
september 17th: singapore
from jack:
hey
question
what made you want to be an engineer
to jack:
my dad is one
he had a really really pretty mustang
the one that’s my phone background, remember?
from jack:
oh yeah
it is a pretty car
to jack:
yeah so he showed me how to treat and fix that car
for like as long as i’ve been alive basically
and then he gave it to me for my birthday when i turned 18
from jack:
no way
that’s sick
to jack:
and he took me to the australian gp like so many times
i can’t remember a year when we didn’t go
so those two things kinda came together
from jack:
that’s so much cooler than me
i just grew up with hockey

we’re all just hockey
to jack:

my mom works such weird hours that sometimes i can’t talk to her for weeks
and i spent so much time with my dad as a kid
i hate that australia is so far
from jack:
if it helps, i get homesick when i’m in new jersey too
that’s like so close to detroit in comparison
to jack:
i don’t get homesick, really
i just get guilty
‘cause like i’m away all the time and i didn’t spend much time with her when i was there either
is it selfish to chase a dream when it leads you to the other side of the world?
from jack:
spotify.com/artist/noahkahan/youregonnagofar
to jack:
<3
thank you
miss you
september 24th: japan
to jack:
hey jack
i have a thing to tell you
actually it’s kinda a question
text me when ur up please
from jack:
i’m up
what is it
to jack:
so i have maybe possibly a cool idea
from jack:
spill
to jack:
we race in austin on october 22nd
and i have an off week before that
soooo theoretically i could have a layover in new jersey
yk just how airlines work
from jack:
i don’t think i’m following
to jack:
so if that layover was, say, more than a week
from october 9th to october 18th-ish
would you know someone in jersey to have a couch or a side of their bed to spare?
from jack:
oh
yeah for sure
we only have home games
wait
you can come to those
you can wear my jersey
i’ll sign it
you can sit with the wags
or we can get you other seats if you want
to jack:
i will come to all the games during that time yes
i will also wear your jersey
but only if i can stay at yours
from jack:
of course
if you’re in new york you’re not staying anywhere else
even if we were on a roadie i’d let you stay
to jack:
that’s cute
okay so i’m booking the flights yes?
from jack:
please
to jack:
can i send u my flight info so u can pick me up or should i uber?
from jack: hell no
you’re not ubering
if i can’t come i’ll send luke
september 28th: devils at rangers
to jack:
as an australian
i speak cricket and football and motorsport
but i don’t get a single thing about hockey
they say your name weirdly often
oh you look good in red and white
what in hell is icing
oh hey a goal
i wish i could tell if that was like cool or not
wait you got an assist
good job jacky
do they work like they do in football?
offside doesn’t as i’ve noticed
i’m so confused by this
i’m also deadly tired
it’s like 4 am for me
charlotte’s awake with me tho
but it’s like only 2 in the uk
i hope she doesn’t spam you this much as well
sorry if i’m too much
i just need to do something to not fall asleep
oh hey that’s you
how can all of you skate that well?
i take it back one just fell
that’s hilarious
and exactly what i would look like trying to skate
i love that
ooh that looks fun
you could definitely do some of that roughing as well
could get you decent screentime and would be very hot
i personally think that would be a win win
anyways you won congrats you’re such a good hockey player
i have no idea what just happened
i need to go to sleep
good night <3
from jack:
i love the commentary
my phone’s burning up but idc
i’ll explain to you on facetime at some point
or when you come to jersey
we can do a video analysis like the pros
aka me
sleep well, thank you for watching <3

sorry it’s me again with another deranged notification!! i can’t stop thinking about three’s a crowd like…… I would devour any morsel about that universe……… alex and george’s childhood together?? or when george was the voice in alex’s head and then… 😵💫 and/or would love to hear about how you conceived of this fic bc it’s soooo well-crafted!!!
three's a crowd, like almost everything I write now, came from me haranguing @latecomersprivilege in Tumblr DMs, a format that is ludicrously hard to search/look back on. I simply cannot scroll back until March I will die A LIE, I did it, it took like fifteen earth minutes but I have the origin and it is THIS POST. I saw it at the end of February and immediately sent to her with "Why is this George-coded?" And from there I spitballed an idea that is pretty much 90% accurate to the fic as it is today, but without the bones of the reveal and with a slightly different ending, plus an epilogue that I have drafted, but which didn't really fit in the final version.
I left just that concept in my bunnies doc for a good four months to marinade, and then when @motorsport-halloween got announced I realised that it fit the theme, and my brain had rotated the thought enough for me to have a crack at writing it. I can't work on one thing at once, so I managed it in dribs and drabs alongside other stuff basically right up until the deadline and @latecomersprivilege had to endure so much caterwauling from me about it, and was the kindest, most patient nursemaid while I threw myself about the room like a frantic Victorian infant.
The response has been utterly confounding to me in the best possible way. Three days ago I genuinely believed the story didn't work.
Below are some very garbled thoughts on George as the guy in the chair. Spoilers etc.
So I envisioned something like a centralised command centre for 'superheroes' and their support squads. Let's call it the Parahuman Intervention Team. It'd be slightly worn in, not quite squeaky superhero clean and neat, kind of like an NGO going slightly off the boil. George isn't the only person on Alex's squad, but he's been there since the beginning. He was the first person to suggest Alex was special, when they were kids. The rest of the squad support Alex in the field, but he's the guy in the chair, eyes on everything. Subconsciously modelling himself on Q in Skyfall and enduring Alex's teasing about it. His set up would be at least five monitors, close to surround sound, trying to get Alex to wear at least four more sensors and cameras in his suit than anyone else thinks is necessary for the data.
He'd have his own space, away from the main lab, so that his focus can be total during missions, no distractions. Of course, that means on the day it happens, there's about 45 seconds before anyone can make it through bulletproof glass into George's space, shut off the sound of screaming and force his eyes away from the 4K high definition mess.
#answered asks#three's a crowd#wait i just realised you meant a riff on the 'hard for the voice in your ear' line NOT the organisational structure of heroes I'm so sorry

Mini Cooper Safari Rally Car, 1995. On display at Transport World, a remarkable classic Mini that was built by Robert Plant Engineering (RPE Motorsport) and is a fully-documented Group A Rally Car having originally been put together for the 1995 'Network Q Rally of Great Britain'. More famously it went on to compete in the East African Safari Rally in 1997, 2000, 2001, 2002 and finally in 2003 where it earned the nick-name 'Du Du' (Swahili for little insect). The car was restored to its former glory, pretty much as it was for its first Safari attempt in 1997 when it was sponsored by Corgi Models, by Malcolm Huxley and Anne Sealand (Annemal Motorsports).

Aston Martin Victor (1 of 1).
Meet the Aston Martin Victor, a one-off commission made by the company’s Q division and utilising a greatest hits package of learnings from the One-77, Vulcan and Valkyrie hypercars. Knowing where to start is tough, but let’s go bottom up. Underpinning the whole thing is a refurbished carbon monocoque chassis from the One-77, which is also where the Victor’s front-mounted 7.3-litre V12 engine has been sourced. It produced 750bhp when the One-77 launched a decade ago which – said no one ever – is not enough. It’s been sent back to Cosworth for another fettle and has returned producing a significantly more terrifying 836bhp (and 606lb ft of torque), still without a turbo in sight. Yep, 836bhp via natural aspiration. The noise is going to be good, isn’t it? It drives the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox – in place of the One-77’s automated unit – making this the most powerful stick-shift Aston road car ever. There is a ‘bespoke motorsport clutch’, and I probably don’t need to explain why.
Helping its driver manage all of that are the inboard springs and dampers of Aston’s track-only Vulcan, with ginormous Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes and racecar-esque centre-lock wheels at the end of them. Clothing the whole lot is a carbon body inspired by the brutish Aston Martin Vantage of the 1970s and 80s. Yet thanks to a development programme that’s utilised computer fluid dynamic testing, it produces more downforce at 100mph than Aston’s current GT4 racecar. Probably welcome given the sheer muscle beneath. The rear lights are inspired by those on the Valkyrie, while if you head inside you’ll find a steering wheel nicked from the Vulcan programme. The paint scheme is a twist on the green-on-tan you’d associate with a classic British sports car, the exterior a dark shade called Pentland Green and contrasted with satin carbonfibre. Despite looking burly, the whole thing weighs less than the slender One-77 it’s so heavily related to. And the name? Following Vulcan and Valkyrie, you might presume it’s an aeronautical reference. We’re told it’s a nod to Victor Gauntlett, though, boss of Aston Martin when it launched the V8 Vantage its aesthetics have unsubtly taken inspiration from.
