Welcome to Marchtian 2025!!!

This is a brand new prompt fic and art event centred around one of the most famous teammates in Formula 1 history: The little German twink Sebastian Vettel and Aussie Grit's Mark Webber! They are also known in the F1 RPF community by their pairing names: Martian and Sebmark!

There are 31 prompts to choose from, one for each day in March. You can interpret these prompts however you like: You can have Mark and Seb as best friends, best enemies, or as a romantic/married couple, and you can put them in any situation you like (AU or canon compliant); the choice is yours!

Here’s the full list:

All creators are welcome to participate in the event: Writers, artists, GIF makers, collage creators, animators; you name it! When you’re ready to publish, remember to tag us by using the hashtag #Marchtian 2025 and/or post your work to the AO3 collection, which can be found here! Make sure to tag your works appropriately before you publish.

FAQ TIME!

Q: Do I have to do every single prompt?

A: Nope! You can choose as many as you like! Any or all prompts; it’s completely up to you! And you can interpret these prompts however you like.

Q: Do Seb and Mark have to be the main characters?

A: Yes. You can include other characters and ships if you want, but the primary focus MUST be on Seb and Mark.

Q: Can I write about/do art for characters from other racing categories such as the junior Formula series and other motorsports series such as Moto GP, ROC, WRC, and Le Mans?

A: Yes, as long as the main focus is on Seb and Mark.

Q: What about sports that don’t involve motor vehicles such as tennis and hockey?

A: The same rules apply!

Q: Do I have to sign up to join?

A: No sign-up form is required to join.

Q: Are we allowed to share snippets of our work on sites such as Tumblr?

A: Yes! You're allowed to share snippets, just make sure you choose ones that don't reveal too much of the story/stories you're working on.

Q: What's the minimum word count for fics?

A: That’s completely up to you! There’s no limit on how long or short you want your fic(s) to be.

Q: Can my fic have multiple chapters?

A: No. Oneshots only, please! However, if you’re thinking of writing a standalone sequel to an existing fic, then that’s allowed.

Q: What kind of art is allowed?

A: Absolutely anything you like: Traditional pen/pencil on paper, paintings, collages, manips, GIFs, animations… any kind of art is allowed!

Let's go over the basics!

What is Osctober?

Osctober is an event made by creators for creators. We've come up with 31 individual prompts, one for each day in October.

Who can participate?

Everyone! Writers, artists, gif-makers- do you make F1/Oscar related content? Then you're invited!

How do I participate?

Create something for the prompt of the day (or any other day) and post it! We are using the tumblr tag #Osctober 2024, and there is a collection on AO3 called 'Osctober 2024'. Post your work in either or both!

There is no sign up, so no obligations!

Do I have to do every prompt/day?

Nope! See one that suits your fancy? Do it up! Create as much or as little as you want!

What if I miss a day?

Feel free to go back to any prompt you've skipped! We'd like to keep the posts in line with the prompt of the day, so try not to post early, but going back is fine!

Are there any rules?

Barely. All we ask is that your work contains Oscar in some form. Feel free to write any pairing, gen fics, anything that focuses on Oscar!

The Fest

This fest is open to any and all ideas, but it celebrates those you’ve been a little hesitant about writing.  Bring your silliest, rarest, or most unconventional idea and have fun with it!  There are no restrictions on content, it’s all up to you.

19:06 [Much like LAWSON, LECLERC balances himself on top of the SF-27 and pumps his fists into the air over and over again. He leaps onto the ground and sprints right for the SCUDERIA FERRARI crew, who are akin to a pack of screaming animals.]

19:07 [PIASTRI descends from his car in slightly a calmer manner. Still, he also seems to have forgotten the concept of walking. Before he can reach the RED BULL RACING crew, LAWSON catches him around the abdomen and pulls him into a hug. Their helmets knock together a little and the embrace is reciprocated quickly.]

19:07 [LECLERC, now pulled away from the arms of his team, is standing on his tip-toes. He appears to be searching for someone. He leans into a SCUDERIA FERRARI crew member and, after a few moments, they shout a reply, pointing in the direction of the garages. LECLERC starts to move, seemingly to where the crew member showed, but is pulled back by the same crew member. Rapid conversation is shared between them.]

McLaren situation

Just some little thoughts...

Today, we got good results for the team and both drivers and still, here we are with all the drama, hate and criticism again.

I think we should remember that we are now living the times we have been wishing for for decades, years or months and we should enjoy that!

Of course, the team and drivers being successful comes with other expectations, and other stressful moments... But that is part of the sport!

Of course, some of us are fans of both drivers, some of one or another, some like the drivers better than the team or the other way around. But at the end of the day, the drivers and the team are a package deal. We have to accept that.

As a fan of both Lando and Oscar, I want Lando to win, I want Oscar to win. But I know I can't have both.

As a RPF shipper, I know that drivers' relationships aren't like in the fanfics all the time.

Still, I try to see the whole picture not only about the moment but about F1 in general.

I know that I'm older than most of other people here, that I have been following F1 for longer. I don't wan't to sound like I'm bragging about that because that is an advantage as I understand things differently but also a weakness as I sometimes compare the actual F1 to the past and that's not always the right thing to do.

Still, seeing Lando's fans angry at Oscar today, I couldn't help but remember the time when team orders had been banned (more or less successfully) and realise that, today, we tend to forget that drivers are selfish, careless idiots (affectionate) at heart. That is why they are F1 drivers.

Oscar's move was bold, a bit risky. But we are looking at it from the comfort of our couch, with a nice drink and heavily influenced by whatever our commentator is saying.

Oscar was in the car, in a high adrenaline moment, wanting to win, to prove himself, to reach his ultimate objective and told by the team he could go for it.

Our way of analysing the race events is valid but it's only an outside POV and, in my opinion, it should never be an excuse to go on full hating towards another human being!

I was told by someone on Discord that I was biased because I love Oscar and see him as a good guy. That is not untrue but that doesn't cover it all.

Another thing lots of fans seem to forget is that supporting a driver doesn't mean that you should hate on all the ones battling with him or that you aren't able to see his wrongs.

Another little nostalgia moment but I was a HUGE Michael Schumacher fan. And Jerez 1997 was a hard time for me. I was 13 by then, able to understand nuances and conflicting feelings. And still, seeing my favourite pull out a nasty dangerous move on another driver made me feel lost. How could I like him when he could do this?

I chose to acknowledge that I still loved him despite this. That I wasn't okay with that particular action but would still support him. Because he's a human and no human is perfect.

A friend of mine stopped supporting him from that day. And their feelings were valid, too. But they never painted Michael as an awful person still. They just thought that he wasn't someone they could be a fan of.

You can feel like that about Lando and/or Oscar. Support one of them only in his rights and wrongs. Or support them both inequally.

Everything is valid... Only hurtful aggressive hate isn't.

Also, I wish we could remember that watching a sport is a hobby. Not a life-depending event.

If Lando isn't WDC at the end of the season, it could be devastating depending on the conditions. But we will still have a life. Even for him, it will be an ordeal but he can get over it! Many others did it before and will do it after.

Perhaps the Landoscar relationship (non-RPF) we are having now won't survive. As fans of them both, we will be sad... But it happens... It always happened and will happen again.

Don't let your passion for F1 make you feel bad, sad, angry or make a hater out of you. It's not worth it <3

Welcome to the Mini Summer F1 Virtues Verse/Omegaverse Fan Content Event!

(Yes I know, the name is a mouthful.)

This is a chill, low pressure mini event that is centered around any fan content (art, fic, photo edits, any creative fanwork) about F1 Omegaverse RPF, including Virtues Verse spin-off content!

It runs until the 15th of July.

How do I partake? To partake, you can upload your work to the ao3 collection, and/or on tumblr, using the hashtag #vv!event.

What kind of content is allowed? - Any F1 RPF content centered around the Omegaverse trope - Any spin-offs and contents of my Virtues Verse fic series is allowed (but will not be integrated into the canon 'verse). - Any rpf driver, pairing, kink and any take on a/b/o - Any kind of fan content: fics, art, music, photo edits, mood boards, anything you can think of as long as it is creative fan work! - any length of fic - you can use the prompt list supplied at the bottom of this post for inspo, or come up with your own ideas!
