Regulators Pursue Alleged Crypto Pyramid Scheme Involving HyperFund Leaders

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has charged two leaders of HyperFund, an alleged cryptocurrency pyramid scheme, for raising over $1.7 billion from investors. Sam Lee and Brenda Chunga are accused of promoting HyperFund "membership" packages that guaranteed high returns through crypto asset mining and a partnership with a Fortune 500 company.
