robert's off to sim state, so willi finally gets her own room! i added in a crib in case brandi has another baby (given she's almost 60, i find that highly unlikely), but for now, it's nice to see the brokes' last hallway baby having her own private space 😃

i try to keep the number of households i have as low as possible, so beau ended up moving in with his mom, stepdad, and half-sister. he recently flunked out of college in his junior year and is broke as hell, so it's only fitting that he gets willi's old 'room': the hallway.

his bio:

Beau always found it hard to escape his genetic destiny, and now his childhood has come back to bite him. Broke, looked down upon by his hardworking peers, scowled at by his disappointing mother, he can't imagine falling further than he has now.

beau is neurotic, a genius, of star quality, an avant garde, and never nude, so he's got quite the fun personality.

he likes glasses and makeup, but--like many of the new generation in town--dislikes poor people. i mean, he's a fortune sim, but come on, beau.

new intro style, here we go! it's time to visit the iconic broke family and see what they're up to!

family bio:

The Brokes are a sweet, if struggling, little family. Now that Bobby’s about to head off to college, will Brandi and Charlie finally get some work done around the house? Willi, at the very least, is excited to not have to sleep in the hallway anymore.

Charlie Tang

A former restaurant host from Downtown, Charlie gave up a stable income and a decent apartment for a family life with Brandi and her kids in their too-small, claustrophobia-inducing little trailer. When questioned, he’s always said that he doesn’t regret that decision… so far.

Brandi Broke

Friendly by nature, Brandi has often been accused of being overly so. She enjoys grape juice and crumpling tin foil, when she can afford to.

Robert Broke

The youngest son born to Brandi and Skip Broke, Bobby grew up being showered with love from his mom and brothers, and sneers from his peers at his family’s poor status. He’s sworn to someday turn those insults into fear and awe.

Willi Tang

Aside from an addiction to books and a strong sense of righteousness, Willi considers herself to be quite normal. She likes watching pirate movies with her big brother and his girlfriend, Idalia.

pleasantview reborn: the caliente-dreamers

we've seen how dina's doing, now it's time to visit her sister nina caliente-dreamer!

family bio:

The Caliente-Dreamers are perhaps the happiest, least dramatic family in Pleasantview. Darren paints, Nina dances, the girls run wild… it’s the happy family life that Darren’s been hoping for for so long.

Darren Dreamer

A hopeless romantic at heart, Darren's pain and loss after his late wife Darlene's death was great. His new chance at love and partnership with Nina was a dream come true.

Nina Caliente

Deeply connected to her Mediterranean roots, Nina likes exercise and bread pudding. She loves her family with Darren dearly and is glad to have finally found the financial security that none of her previous lovers afforded her.

Pea Caliente

A chance encounter with a random tourist left Nina with Pea, her firstborn, but Pea doesn't let her vague past slow her down. Like her mother, she enjoys dancing and having a good time.

Viva Caliente

Wild and excitable, there's nothing that Viva loves more than racing around the park with her big sister, Pea.

the family wanted a cat, so here's raggedy.

alex's goldigger, ex-cheerleader fiancee jessica randomly showed up to watch brittany, who robert dragged home before heading to college, play the guitar, so brandi took the opportunity to paint her portrait. she's rich, she's famous, and brandi is certain she'll pay a lot for it.

as sad as it is, in the last 20 years, little has changed in the broke household in terms of finances. when he's not at work, charlie spends his days out in front of the house, selling lemonade. anything to afford robert's upcoming college fees.

it's birthday time, birthday time! best of all, it's double birthday time! gather around the cakes, guys!

first up is charlie's 60th birthday! he's come a long way from the AL townie brandi bumped into downtown ❤

he aged up with gold aspiration, so he'll live for pretty long after this. his traits are still eccentric, handy, brave, mean-spirited, and hopeless romantic.

next up is willi's 12th birthday! she's a perfect mix of brandi and charlie 🥺

willi aged up with gold aspiration too, so she got a new want slot! her traits are now good, bookworm, sailor, and perfectionist, which she got upon aging up.

she's also grown into a family sim, like her mum! she likes good poor people, but hates the logical ones.

it was time for viva's 12th birthday!

she grew up into a knowledge sim, with a preference for glasses and black hair. she doesn't like poor people though, lol.

it took awhile to butter up jessica so she'd accept the idea of brandi stalking her to feed her kids, but it worked! brandi's portrait of her sold for a cool $1789 simoleons.

brandi: it's not much, but it's honest work! ... kinda.

the kids are off at school and college, so it's time for charlie and brandi to have some alone time.
