i'm going to focus on my current wip, Why Should I Be Careful? I'm Going To Die Anyway! because it's still very much in the planning stages (despite how much I'm writing for it) and I have Thoughts

What is the main lesson of your story? Why did you choose it?

I'll be honest, I haven't really thought that far ahead. I suppose, if there is a lesson to take from WSIBC?IGTDA!, it might be that you should always chase your goals and desires, and screw what other people think. Maybe put a little more thought and planning into yours than Aura does hers, though. I mean, she almost dies due to her recklessness. Don't be like Aura.

What did you use as inspiration for your worldbuilding?

Well, it's a zombie book - I love zombies, in case you can't tell - so the world is an amalgamation of zombie stuff I love. The zombies are based off of the Train to Busan zombies. This is a self-insert mess, so I'm using the town and people I know in the town as location and characters. Little tropes here and there that I love in movies and books alike. It's just a big chimera of stuff that I grab from stuff I remember and shove into it. It definitely needs polish when it's done, but I'm having a blast so far, so I'm'a keep doing it :3

What is your MC trying to achieve, and what are you, the writer, trying to achieve with them? Do you want to inspire others, teach forgiveness, or help the reader grow as a person?

Uhhhhhh this is a tough question. Right now, Aura is trying to make it to Roger's Grocery Mart to save her girlfriend, but most of the time, she's just trying to have a good time in the zombie apocalypse and hopefully not die. She does eventually grow into a character that (mostly) thinks things through and takes other people's situations into account, so I suppose the lesson is "the world doesn't revolve around you - be kind and helpful to others"?

As for what I'm trying to achieve... mostly, to be honest, I just want people to pick up my book and have a good time reading it. I want to write a zombie book because it's my passion and because there aren't enough zombie books out there. I guess I'm trying to inspire others? To show them that you can survive an impossible situation if you work hard and think things through?

How many chapters is your story going to have?

The only time I've written a full-length book (sorry, the only two times, forgot about Zero: ALPHA), it had about twenty-odd chapters. Z:A had...uh...thirty? That was a long time ago and I sadly no longer have that draft. This one is going to go until it's done. Hopefully more than thirty though!

Is it fanfiction or original content? Where do you plan to post it?

Original content! I have no idea where I'm going to post it. I'm torn between Draft2Digital (originally Smashwords) or Substack. Thing is, I'm really bad at marketing and keywords and all that technical stuff that goes into publicizing, so I'm really hesitant to share it at all. I'm the type of person that gets absolutely morally devastated if my own self-inflicted goals aren't met, and I'm not sure if I can handle that kind of crushing heartbreak with this one lol

So yeah. Might publish, might not. Unsure right now.

When did you start writing?

My dad set up a Windows 95 computer for me in his office, his old one, and taught me the basics of using it. I was five, about to turn six. I immediately sat down and wrote a story about unicorns. I've been writing ever since.

I didn't start writing fanfiction until I was thirteen and had just binge-watched Lord of the Rings for the first time. We don't talk about those works. They were awful.

Do you have any words of encouragement for fellow writers of writeblr? What other writers do you follow?

Write it. Oh it's cringe? Who cares? Write it. Oh, it's a rare pair? Write it. You're worried people will hate it? Fuck the haters. Write it. Writing is about having fun. Writing is about pouring your soul onto the page. Writing is about getting those ideas out of your head so they don't drive you insane. It's about reaching that one person that finds your work and loves it. Even if no one reads it - you still accomplished something. You still wrote it. And no one can take that from you.

I have so many writers in my follow list. Uhh. I have no idea how many are still active, so I'm just going to tag who I know and hope for the best lol

feel like the global tasks sweep strat should probably be nerfed somehow. my thought would be, give each team an individual ten minute overall cooldown on global task claims. that is to say, a certain team can only claim one global task per ten minutes. say, deliver gas masks, and then in ten minutes you're allowed to deliver tea, and then after another ten minutes you can claim hot chocolate.

another teams would be able to claim a global task for bananas during this time, and their own ten minute cooldown would start.

(the global tasks can either keep their individual ten minute cooldown [i.e. after tea is claimed no one else can claim tea for ten minutes] or a slightly shorter cooldown, say 5-7 minutes)

when a global task is claimed, everyone is notified, right? if not, in my hypothetical, they will be.

then, a team trying to sweep six tasks at once would actually take sixty minutes to do, allowing another team to swoop in and have a chance to stop it in cinematic, entertaining fashion rather than tubbo having to grind resources and then log out in front of the merchant to counter this, which is boring for everyone (including the person delivering). plus, if a team cuts it down to the last second and ends up getting delayed, they physically wouldn't have time to make a delivery, meaning even being a BIT of a nuisance could be a viable strategy, even if you can't manage to kill; if you can STALL you could still wreck their plans.

that's my dream anyway idk i'm not a game designer. just think it would be interesting for most players

red team would have to shake up their strategies, which is fun since they're a team that kinda has to rely more on strategy than outright brawn (overall the team's pvp can't be relied on unless they have carre or phil, as seen today when pierre, bad, and etoiles attacked phil cellbit foolish and baghera, and cellbit and foolish both died to etoiles in the attack, despite it being a 4 on 1 at the time. baghera was killed by bad soon after. phil was the one to get the kills. the first day, when blue attacked [niki, tubbo, and bad as i recall] carre got both kills)

the other teams would then still have a way to stop a global sweep since a sweep would have to start earlier, allowing not only more time to arrive at global to pvp about it, but ALSO allowing another team to swoop in and steal the goal out from under the team again

i'm gonna use it in a scenario bc i'm badboyhalo and i can't stop myself from making examples:

so, tonight, if the proposed cooldown was in place, bad and tubbo would both still had roughly 17 minutes when red team would have HAD to start the sweep process if they wanted all six global tasks: 1 hour until the server closed at absolute MINIMUM. more for safety's sake.

therefore, in this scenario, there's a lot to happen

blue team could wait at globals, knowing red will probably try this strategy, and attempt or perhaps SUCCEED in killing red. if they kill red entirely, the operation is a wash; red doesn't have to gear to come back from scratch and take out blue team, and even if they could, the travel time to return to globals alone would mean they wouldn't get all the global tasks, potentially meaning they don't take the lead. if blue team is unable to kill red and dies themselves or has to retreat, but succeeds in delaying red, red would face the same problem.

if red sends in all of the task items on one person, and that person dies, even if the rest survived, blue could loot the items from that person and would be able to either use the items themselves, if green is currently the owner, or could run away with the items, effectively wasting red's time and again, meaning they wouldn't get all tasks claimed even if they were able to overtake the runner and reclaim their items.

i'm unclear what would happen if red divided the task items between them since it seems like the person claiming the task doesn't have to have all (or any? again, unclear) the items in THEIR inventory in order to claim so long as a teammate is nearby with the items in their inv (evidence: pac's vod "voltei... o que tá acontecendo no QSMP?!" at roughly 3:00:00; tubbo claims tea and tea is taken out of pac's inventory. i don't know the limits of this strategy)

blue team also has time to swoop in and steal a global task out from under red during this time. say, if red team had claimed the task for 10 tea leaves, upping the price to 15 tea leaves, and then blue team snuck in and claimed the task and set the price up to 20 tea leaves, (since the proposed 10 minute cooldown on claims would be TEAM LIMITED; red's cooldown applying to red only and so on). if red waited until the last second, they wouldn't have the time to reclaim this task even if they did have the resources, possibly forcing them to start their sweep earlier to counter this possibility, at which point team members who had logged on earlier and are out of time by the end of the night, OR members who live in time zones that don't allow them to stay up until server close, may have an easier shot at participating in defending against a global sweep.

all of this DIRECT CONFLICT would make for good audience entertainment and heighten the stakes of an attempted global sweep, since it would practically have to be one team defending globals for an hour while they pipe all their resources into it, knowing that if they die another team could easily swipe their task resources and use it themselves (along with the rest of their gear). it makes it more interesting, while still mostly viable.

plus it would force more strategizing for red team which is maybe just a personal plus, i just really like seeing people planning both in advance and in spur of the moment. it's really satisfying to see how a plan comes together and succeeds or fails; plus, since red team is the main team using this strategy at the moment and their main draw and strength as a team is cohesion and communication this would be completely fucking riveting for me as a viewer so maybe this is just a personal thing. but i really really think it would be fun

but again, i'm not a game designer, or a qsmp player, or a qsmp admin, or honestly even really a gamer? so maybe i'm off my rocker and out of my gourd and this isn't viable or balanced in any way shape or form but YKNOW what is this blog except putting stupid thoughts into the void and seeing if this time the void spits back hate mail so. i'm folding this into a paper airplane and throwing it into the abyss. hopefully it made sense.

As far as name goes, you can call me any part of my username :3. I’m not particularly comfortable disclosing my name and gender at the moment, but I’ll add them to this whenever I am.

Huuuge Castlevania (the games only) fan, so that’s mostly what I’ll be posting and drawing about. My favorite character is Simon Belmont, although I like most characters from the series :). I may also post about Fear and Hunger, Vocaloid, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, and whatever else I’m into at the moment (which I’ll add later if I do change or gain interests). I also have a lot of OCs and projects for them, hopefully those ideas work out eventually.

It's a little stretched from where it was resting, but the rest of it sounds beautiful. A lot better than on my MP3 player speakers. (The boombox is rough, but has legit bass boosting and equalizers easily accessible.)

Vulgar Display is the album for the tour when my mom saw them live, since my dad was a bouncer at the venue and snuck her in, and she got to hangout backstage with them - a year before I was even born, so I missed out lol.

Fucking wild that big metal bands used to tour in our rural area. Not any more, this area has FULLY cemented itself as a sleepy rich people wine country tourist destination. Heaven forbid someone say "fuck" out loud or turn up the distortion. Might cause a serious disturbance in the neighborhood. Don't you know that children exist??

By the time I was a teen, I was making my adults drive me over an hour to go see my fave band (once when I was lucky), or even multiple hours to LA to see them, but only for my fave. Metal bands completely overlooked our area, and rightfully so, because it sucks, but. Obviously, that sucked for me as well.

Honestly, culture in general is feeling really cemented and sterile to me right now. Maybe because of what happened last year (personally, but also nationally). Maybe it's because I live in my own little counter-culture bubble of me and whatever filters its way through the internet to me, and I feel a duty to remain weird. But like, shit like metal, and using language the way it was meant to be used (not censoring words for the algorithm), participating in the adult side of fandom; it all feels like a nice, safe blanket of non-marketability. ((I know, metal is very marketable for the right audience, but certainly not in my area.)) Like, if I see something niche, it feels more genuine than anything manufactured for a mainstream viewer (or inherently manufactured to comply with content restrictions, not just censored). ((There's a case to be made for fun, of course, but that can also be a downfall because fun is profitable.)) But seriously, I hear a metal riff and it's like, oh, this is comfortable. Not even just metal, not even just music. It's the same with finding niche explicit fan art. Like, it was made for the fuck of it, not to generate social points in a system designed to suppress non-conformity.

It just feels like, in a world where a lot of content is just straight up online-only now - that venue Pantera played in my area has not been a thing since the 90s, despite seeing many other big names play there - why are people in the digital world no longer able to cuss and be loud and be individual? Surely advertisers are not pearl-clutching in 2025 (I'm half-serious, half-knowing that they are). I can grab any one of my old metal magazines from the mid 2000s-early 2010s and point to ads that were okay with being shown next to parental advisory lyrics. ((To be fair, I do remember my fave band at the time posting about how they weren't allowed to say "fuck" at one venue and told everyone to shout "firetruck" on the opening line instead. It was hilarious.))

How are people expected to let off steam when they're restrained by Terms and Conditions and ever increasing property values? The walls of society are Landlord White, no expression, no personality allowed here. Monetized life doesn't come with an ad-free subscription, so let their model define you. The illusion of trend, already dead before deletion, a diet of headlines - your only news.

...Anyway, quirky social ranting aside. This tape fucks. I REALLY needed to hear it on a different, older device. On a different medium than digital. I love tapes, man. I get they're not a preservable-friendly medium, but if you ask me, for metal in particular, the mild artifacts of age and an old hand-me-down boombox add character (I sound like Red Hood now lmao). It's nice and dirty and no one else is hearing it with the exact same qualities.

I love having physical media. I love not hearing ads in between songs. I love that I don't have to pay, to not hear an ad. I love that I'm not wasting rural-speed, metered internet on hearing an ad. Yeah, I have CDs and my MP3 player-dock/phone files too, but again, I wanted to hear it as it should be experienced - through bigger speakers from a well-loved cassette.

2. flops! i consider this one a flop because i really wanted to like it BUT. i did not enjoy Things In Jars. it had a great premise, and i love a ghost sidekick as much as the next guy, but it just did not come together for me. and the most frustrating this is that the things i didn't enjoy about it don't seem to be the things that bothered anyone else who didn't like the book so i didn't even get the cathartic release of reading the two star reviews of the book!!

9. compels me tho: this is maybe a goofy answer but i read the first dinotopia children's novel (Windchaser) while on a road trip and it's pretty simple and predictable but DINOSAURS THOUGH. i don't know why i never read this as a child (i devoured A Land Apart from Time) but i know i would have been soooo annoying about it if i had. it's cute!

I started a fic to revisit my own trauma about a car accident I had many years ago and it's not even interesting unfortunately. I had such a shitty little car crash that sounds so lame to describe but still kinda fucked me up for ages and it makes a not very good story I think.

Anyway it was gonna be Nace seeing a car accident and getting flashbacks to his own but I can't think of a good ending and I didn't want to write about a worse accident than what I had cause I don't feel that's quite my place.
