Steve Harrington x Reader • Includes breeding kink, semi-public sex • this one is short & sweet, but spicy too 😉 enjoy!
Steve’s hand reaches for you under the table, his fingers slipping beneath your skirt. You glance at him sitting beside you, as he continues to smile and chat with your guests while his index finger strokes your thigh.
You know what Steve’s up to, the message he’s silently conveying. A glance at his wristwatch confirms your suspicions; 2 PM. Steve’s right on schedule. It’s time for him to breed you.
Because you planned to have friends over today, you assumed Steve would put aside the ‘routine,’ you’d both become accustomed to. Every day at 2PM, and every evening before bed (usually around 10 or 11 PM) Steve makes love to you. His goal, and yours, is to have you pregnant as soon as possible.
When you’d first told him your desire for children a few months ago, Steve had been absolutely insatiable. He’d ask you for sex several times a day, occasionally fucking you up to five separate instances in one twenty-four hour period. That first week was absolutely exhausting; you loved Steve’s enthusiasm, how totally onboard he was with the idea of having a child. But the amount of sex Steve requested was unrealistic in terms of the toll it took on your body.
By the end of that first week, you’d been fucked so often you could hardly walk. Steve was a gentle, considerate lover; but with a cock as big as his, and the way he threw everything he had into the task of fucking a baby into you, the impact on your body was too much. You both settled on a routine that cut the amount of sex in half, so your body could recover in between.
With guests over today, you assumed Steve would forgo the usual routine. But here he is, slipping his hand between your thighs…all while conversing with your guests as if nothing is happening beneath the table…
Steve chuckles at a funny joke told by a friend seated across from you, as his index finger slides under the waist of your panties. You shift in your chair, forcing yourself not to whimper as Steve gently massages your clit. How can he act so normal? you wonder, as if he isn’t playing with your pussy mere inches away from your group of friends?
Steve’s boldness, the dirtiness of what he’s doing, has your clit plumping to meet his touch. It somehow feels dangerous…and you don’t want him to stop.
You twist and turn in your seat, trying to keep the pleasure between your legs from reaching your face. You nod politely at your guests, biting your lower lip as needed to keep from moaning.
The pressure inside you builds and builds as Steve’s fingers rub mercilessly over your clit. You’re sure that if he keeps going any longer, you’re going to orgasm right there at the table, in front of everyone. But Steve senses how close you are, and removes his hand from your panties, leaving you throbbing and frustrated.
“Excuse me for a minute, will you?” he smiles at your guests. As Steve rises to leave, he turns so his crotch is hidden behind your chair. “I need to see you about something,” he whispers at your ear, and walks out of the room.
You excuse yourself as well, and follow behind Steve like a lovesick puppy. As soon as he gets you into the hallway, Steve takes your hand and pulls you with him into the bathroom. You can hear your friends talking beyond the door as Steve closes it behind him and turns the lock. His hand closes over the back of your neck. Steve bends you forward over the sink, working his belt and pants undone as you hurriedly tug up your skirt.
He kneels down and kisses your ass. Steve’s teeth nip your flesh just slightly, making you shiver. He raises up and uses one hand to yank your drenched panties to the side, and guides his cock between your lips in one abrupt thrust.
Steve grunts into your hair as he aggressively humps you, his hand sliding around your throat to hold you in place. The moan that leaves your lips is loud and wanton; Steve slides his hand over your mouth to muffle your cries. You cling to the edge of the sink, your belly pressed against the cold ceramic. Steve’s free hand closes over your breast, groping you tenderly, your nipple perking against his palm.
Your climax ripples through you in powerful waves. You come moaning Steve’s name into his hand as it stays clamped over your mouth, your pussy sucking and milking his cock. Steve slams his hips forward, emptying his seed against your cervix with a low groan of relief.
He carefully pulls out of you, smiling at your reflection in the mirror. Steve fixes your panties, and his hair, then unlocks the door with a wink in your direction. “Run along now and be a good host,” he tells you, cheekily smacking your ass. “Our guests are waiting...”

Summary: After an argument with Eddie, (Y/n) picks up an extra shift at work. Both of them wish she didn't when she gets shot on duty.
Enjoy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(Y/n) hauled off Eddie's hoodie that she had been wearing all afternoon and slung it over the back of the dining room chair before she headed through into the kitchen. It felt strange to have the house deathly quiet and barely alive like this. But she had just taken Chris to spend the night with Evan since they hadn't had a lot of time together recently and Chris was starting to miss his uncle Buck.
She loved Chris to death, he had quickly wormed his way into her heart and when he started to call (Y/n) mum, it was the best day of her life. She wasn't used to having the house this quiet without him playing his video games or dancing away to music. But it would be nice to have a night with Eddie without having to worry if Chris could hear them or if he was alright and check what he was doing.
She knew he was with Evan and having the time of his life; whenever her brother came round Chris never wanted him to leave. Last week he went as far as having a meltdown when Evan had to go on shift and leave them. At least he didn't have to be upset this time, he could spend the full night with 'his Buck' and (Y/n) knew Eddie was relieved that Chris's first night away from home- other than being with his grandparents- was with someone they both trusted.
Rounding the kitchen counter, (Y/n) tiredly looked in the fridge, trying to decide if she was actually hungry or not. She had been feeling sick today and the past few days she had no energy, even when she was at work all she wanted to do was go home to bed.
(Y/n) could hear that Eddie had put the tv on in the living room a few minutes ago when he came home and she guessed he would soon be looking for a movie to watch together. With his work pattern, whenever Eddie got an evening or a day off, he binged a few good movies because he didn't have a lot of free time to watch movies. Other than the same five cartoon movies Chris was currently obsessed with.
"When did you get this?"
Pulling away from the fridge, (Y/n) heaved it shut with a sigh and turned on her heels to look over at Eddie.
Her eyes raked over his frame, noticing the way his hair was brushed back on his head and curling up at the ends like he had run it through with wax. He was wearing a dark grey sleeveless shirt and his body was leaning up against the kitchen doorway. His arms were crossed over his chest and for a second, (Y/n) wasn't sure what he was referring to, until her eyes landed on the small box he had put on the counter in front of him.
A pregnancy test.
"Oh, uh, I don't know, last week maybe?" She leaned forward on the counter and arched her back out with her arms folded in front of her.
(Y/n) had bought so many pregnancy tests this last year that she couldn't remember when she got most of them. Usually when she thought she had one in the bathroom cupboard, she went and found she'd already used it and had to go for another. That was probably a spare one she'd bought on the off chance of needing it.
It was a sore subject to talk about at the moment.
A whole year they had been trying. A year of wanting to get pregnant and coming up empty handed with a lot of false positives. Chris had become (Y/n)'s child as much as Eddie's when they got married, he was calling and referring to her as his mum and (Y/n) was in the process of adopting him. But it didn't stop her wanting to have a baby of her own.
She yearned to have a baby and see Eddie with a baby in his arms and Eddie had as much baby fever as (Y/n), but nothing was going to plan. (Y/n) was pregnant two months after they got married but it hadn't been straight forward. (Y/n) thought she might have been pregnant, she had a suspicion but before she could take a test or book a doctor's appointment, she woke in the night with horrid cramps and found out she'd miscarried without really knowing she was pregnant.
That was as close as she came to being pregnant. For the year that they had been trying, nothing had happened and (Y/n) didn't know what to do with herself or how to get out of the slump it was putting her in.
"I thought we agreed not to do any more tests for a while?" Eddie uncrossed his arms and crossed the kitchen to reach her but he hated the glum, broken look in (Y/n)'s eyes when she looked up at him.
Without replying, (Y/n) simply shrugged and started to tangle her fingers together. She didn't acknowledge Eddie's hand on her lower back because she knew where this conversation was going to go. All she did was tilt her head to the right when Eddie's lips merged with her neck and she let herself melt into the feeling, just for a while.
"Mi amor?"
"I wasn't intending on using it, not yet anyway." She didn't remember when she bought it, she had on intentions of sitting and looking at a negative test.
"That's what you said before," Eddie rolled his lips together and took a deep breath when (Y/n) shrugged out of his touch and turned to face him with one elbow leant on the counter.
"That's not funny."
"I'm not trying to joke. We said we wouldn't take any more tests after last time."
Eddie didn't want to come home and find (Y/n) slumped on the floor, staring into the void of a negative test. Unable to move, unsure what to say. If she wanted to do a test Eddie would rather (Y/n) do it when he was home with her but that being said, he didn't want to take any more tests. Not unless they were dead certain they were within a chance of having a positive.
He was sick of seeing the negatives on the test and watching a little piece of (Y/n) break each time they took a test. Eddie would rather forget about tests all together and forget that they were trying for a baby. If they didn't overthink this, then maybe they would have a baby without having to focus and try so hard.
"And we're not." (Y/n) dragged her fingers through her hair, brushing the strands further back on her head and out of her eyes. She moved away from the counter and grabbed the dreaded test that had become her enemy rather than her friend.
"Good."
"Why is that good?" She couldn't drag her eyes away from the test to look over at Eddie. Just this once, (Y/n) wished she could tear it open, try the test and have it come back positive.
Just this once. Was she really asking too much by wanting a baby?
"Because I don't like seeing you break down every time we get a test. Hide the damn thing and forget about it. We might get lucky without all the pressure." Eddie leaned back, using his quick reflexes to catch the test when (Y/n) tossed it his way. If he wanted to hide it, he could go ahead and they would see if his relaxed way would go down well or not.
(Y/n) clamped her hand down on her hip and leaned her other side into the counter. Her eyes watched her husband with intrigue as he tossed the test from one hand to the other like it was burning hot and scolding his skin. But her heart dropped down to her stomach when she noticed him glance towards the bin. It was a quick, swift movement, barely noticeable, but (Y/n) saw. She almost expected him to toss the test in the bin but he settled on throwing it on the top shelf in the medicine cupboard.
"May as well forget about it, we won't need it."
His words were like a knife puncturing through (Y/n)'s stomach and she could feel bile creeping up the back of her throat as her stomach twisted and clenched.
"Why would you say that?" The pain in (Y/n)'s eyes matched the croak in her voice and she furiously rubbed her sleeve against her eyes to stop herself from crying. She had cried enough, she wasn't in the mood to break down about this, again.
It hurt more than Eddie could comprehend that when he and Shannon had Chris, they hadn't been trying for a baby. Chris was the reason they got married, both being Catholics and raised with the installed thought of 'doing the right thing.' Chris was a surprise, the best kind, he and Shannon didn't have to try for a year to have a baby and Shannon took that and the family she had, for granted.
And here (Y/n) was, married to the man who stole her heart from the first moment they met. She loved him and Chris and they had their own little family together, but (Y/n) couldn't seem to catch a break when it came to a baby. They had done things the way Eddie's family would have wanted, marriage first, then children. But none were arriving.
(Y/n)'s teeth started to grind down together when Eddie stared across at her with those big doe eyes that were full of panic and fright.
He hadn't meant to say that outloud.
"No, baby I didn't mean it like that."
"Yes you did."
"No I didn't." His hands moved to clamp down on his hips and his head tilted to the side as he looked at her with a hardened, unhappy expression. "We don't need a fucking test right now, we need to stop panicking. We have time and it'll either happen or it won't."
He didn't like the way (Y/n) scoffed and her lips curled into a snarky smile. Why could he not see this from her perspective?
"Why not just give up, hm? Shannon didn't even have to try to have Chris and I've been with you almost five years and all I get is a false positive and then a miscarriage. Clearly it's not happening."
"That's not what I'm saying. Do you think I enjoy seeing you upset like this? I'm sick of seeing you so broken and not being able to do anything about it. At least whenever Shannon did a test she didn't cry when it was negative,"
"Well it's a fucking shame you married me, Edmundo."
Eddie knew he had taken it too far the moment he spoke and hearing his full name from (Y/n) only made him cringe and back up into the counter. He hated the way she said his name. He knew he well and truly fucked up when (Y/n) croaked his name like that and had to fight back tears from his crudeness.
He didn't mean it.
Tears welled up in the corners of Eddie's eyes when (Y/n) bypassed him, moving as far to the counter as she could so even her arm didn't brush his chest an inch. And panic bubbled up in Eddie's chest when he watched his wife barge through the dining room, grab her bag from the table and march towards the front door.
What was she doing? Where was she going? He didn't want her to leave, he wanted to stay and talk and make up for the stupid things he had just said that he well and truly didn't mean.
"Wait- where are you going?" The panic in his voice almost made (Y/n) crumble. Almost.
With her jacket slung over her arm and her bag on her shoulder, (Y/n) grabbed her keys and unlocked the door.
"I'm going to work."
"You're not on shift. Baby don't leave, I'm sorry I didn't mean it-"
"I'll pick up the night shift and pray I won't be such a cry baby by morning." When the door slammed shut behind her, Eddie slumped his back into the wall and let himself slide down to the floor with a thud.
What had he done?
***
"Are you okay?"
(Y/n) slumped down in her seat and leaned her head against the window that felt cold and soothing against her burning temple. Night shifts always caught her off guard, they didn't make her feel great when most of her shifts were day shifts since Eddie did a fair few nights.
Every time she went onto a night shift, (Y/n) felt like she was going to collapse the moment she got home and she could never sleep during the day which made her feel even worse. But being on shift was preferable to being at home with Eddie and either sitting in silence or carrying on the argument.
"Just tired,"
"Hm. Makes sense that you'd pick up the late shift if you're tired." Athena tilted her head to the side and gave (Y/n) a knowing look, sporting her signature, calming smile.
Since moving down to LA with Evan, the siblings both felt like Athena and Bobby had taken them under their wings and become their surrogate parents. Bobby looked out for Evan at the station and was always there for him outside of the station when he needed him. And when (Y/n) became a cop, she had Athena to look out for her and be there when she needed a shoulder to lean on.
"I'd just rather be anywhere else right now." There was no point divuldging why she was here and not back at home on her day off. It was easier to try and forget the reason why she wasn't going home yet and pray that in the morning, the atmosphere would be gone by the time she walked through the door.
A bolt of relief surged through (Y/n) when the radio went off, asking for assistance. She needed something to focus her mind on because she wasn't the one driving tonight. Driving the streets aimlessly was something she and Eddie did when they or Chris couldn't sleep and it was only going to make (Y/n) break down and want to go back home.
"Anyone available to assist in a house call? Neighbours are reporting raised voices and items being thrown."
"This is Seven-two-seven-L-thirty, responding."
(Y/n) looked across at Athena as she shimmied up and sat up straight in her seat to try and liven herself up. It was strange to see Athena without her usual sunglasses she always wore when she was on shift, but she didn't wear them out on a night shift. It tended to give people the wrong impression and they didn't exactly help.
"Off we go," (Y/n) heaved herself out the car and stretched, clicking her back into place as she shut the door behind her.
As soon as she was on her feet, (Y/n) felt like the cold air was wrapping her up and suffocating her. Her stomach was still churning from earlier and she was sweating despite the cool midnight breeze.
"The side gates open, I'll take a look."
(Y/n) nodded and watched Athena move away from the path towards the right side of the house. The gate was swinging open in the wind, creaking back and forth which wasn't alarming but it could be something to worry about.
With a deep breath, (Y/n) followed the narrow path up to the front door and tried to peek into the window to see if there were any lights on or any sound of noise. The neighbours called in raised voices and items being thrown about but the house was deadly quiet right now.
"Police, could you open the door please? We're here for a welfare check." (Y/n) knocked on the door three times before she leaned towards the window when she heard some movement. "Open the door please." She tried again with another round of knocking but whoever was inside was now rummaging around. They weren't going to open up.
A sigh passed her lips as she took a few steps away from the door and moved back onto the path. Her hand curled around her radio and she did a sweep around the quiet street.
"Athena, any luck round back? I might check in with the neighbours- oh, someone's opening up."
When the door unlocked and creaked open, (Y/n) walked back up the steps but she stopped short when a woman shot out the door. She collided into (Y/n)'s shoulder, pushing her back and causing her to twist on her feet as she regained her balance. Falling on the pavement wasn't going to do her any favours tonight.
"Miss- miss wait-"
(Y/n) scrunched her hand around the girl's sleeve and tried in vain to stop her bolting away and rushing down the empty street. But just as her hand left the girl's shoulder, everything seemed to stop when a shot rang through the air.
At first, she thought Athena had come through the house and was trying to apprehend someone. It didn't dawn on (Y/n) that it was someone else in the house shooting until a blinding, horrifying pain coursed through her left shoulder.
Her body tilted backwards and she managed to stay upright for three wobbling steps back while her right hand moved to press to her shoulder without thinking. Blood soaked into her palm. The touch on her shoulder made it ignite in white hot pain. No air went in or out of her lungs and her knees caved in on her.
She didn't reach the floor before another shot imbedded in her left thigh just before her back hit the ground.
Her head smashed into the pavement, sending her vision black with little white spots like the stars had fell down to Earth and were dancing in front of her eyes.
The collision seemed to act as a button that turned her hearing off. All (Y/n) could hear was static. It was buzzing in her ears, ringing around in her head and worsening the way her body was shaking when she couldn't hear what was going on. Her eyes wouldn't focus on anything but the flashing stars blinking in front of her. How could she protect herself if all she could see were stars and all she could hear was blinding, buzzing background static.
(Y/n) couldn't help herself if the gunman came outside and tried to shoot at her or the civilian who most probably had fled the street by now. She couldn't protect Athena if she didn't know what was going on or where (Y/n) and the shooter were.
All she could do was lie there like prey, giving in and ready to be killed for sport.
"Shots fired! Officer down I need immediate back up and an ambulance to my location now!" Athena slumped down on her knees, dragging her eyes over (Y/n)'s frame. She had handcuffed the shooter to the radiator in the doorway after she entered the house through the open back door.
She could feel Athena's hand briefly grab hers to let her know who it was beside her and that she was safe.
"(Y/n), can you hear me? You just stay with me, help is on the way."
Something akin to a gurgling scream burned at the back of (Y/n)'s throat when she felt something tight strap around her thigh somewhere near the wounded area. She couldn't pinpoint where she had been shot. Her leg was tingling from her hip bone all the way down to her toes that were cold and numb in her boots.
Her head turned to the side and her hands blindly reached out while her vision slowly started to come back to her. She could just about see Athena hovering over her and she soon realised Athena had used her belt as a turniquet around her thigh to prevent the blood loss. As soon as she pulled it tighter, (Y/n) screamed and thrashed her upper body down against the concrete.
Everything started to shake. Each breath she took made her chest shudder and spit foamed at her mouth as she pushed her breaths through gritted teeth that were puncturing down into her tongue.
Everything burned. Everything hurt. She was trapped in a body that was on fire and tearing itself apart.
Why did she bother coming on shift tonight? Why didn't she stay home with Eddie? An argument wasn't worth getting shot at, she should have talked things out with him.
He begged her to stay, why didn't she stay?
"Stay with me, sweetie, stay with me."
Tears stained (Y/n)'s face and burned into her skin like acid when both Athena's hands pressed down on her shoulder. She couldn't tie anything around her arm or chest as a turniquet, all Athena could do was apply as much pressure as she could to slow down the bleeding until paramedics came to help.
The pressure made (Y/n) choke and she reached a hand out, fumbling around until she could curl her fingers around Athena's wrist.
"Eddie. Eddie."
"Sweetie let's focus on getting some medics here-"
"Eddie!"
She screamed her husband's name at the top of her lungs until she saw Athena grapple with one hand to fish her phone out of her pocket. She had to keep (Y/n) calm or else she was going to go into shock and that wouldn't do her any favours when she had two gunshot wounds.
Blood smeared onto her phone when she swiped a shaky finger across the screen and scrolled down to Eddie's contact. As soon as she clicked on his name, she returned both hands to (Y/n)'s shoulder and pushed down as hard as she could until it felt like her hands were going to burst through (Y/n)'s body.
"Athena? Everything okay?" Eddie's confused voice came through the speaker and just the tone of his voice made (Y/n)'s head loll to the right towards the phone, wishing he was here instead of on the other end of the line.
Sirens wailed in the distance before she could answer and it made her jaw clench. She shouldn't be calling Eddie yet, it was too early when all the attention needed to be focused on (Y/n), but if she didn't, she had a feeling (Y/n) would become very hard to calm and control.
"Eddie I need you to listen carefully. (Y/n)'s been involved in an accident, you need to meet us at Mercy hospital."
"No, no what kind of accident? Is she okay?!"
"Eddie," (Y/n)'s eyes dazed around in circles, unable to focus on anything except the sound of her husband's panicked voice. His name slipped past her lips again, but much quieter this time and (Y/n) found she couldn't hear his response, or anything Athena was trying to shout at her.
"(Y/n), honey you stay with me now, help is here. Eddie meet us at the hospital." She ended the call, swallowing down the guilt consuming every inch of her being when the last thing she heard was Eddie's scream of protest. She couldn't have him on the phone when she could feel (Y/n)'s pulse was starting to fade. They had to get her to the hospital and Eddie would have to drown in the same panic as Athena until he got there.
***
This had to be the one. This was the third ambulance Eddie had seen pull into the parking bay just at the side of the emergency room entrance. He hastily parked his car as close as he could get and stood to the side of the ambulance entrance to the hospital. Eddie knew if he went through the reception in the emergency room he would be pushed to the side and would have to wait for hours in agony.
Whereas if he waited here, he could see Athena and (Y/n) come through the emergency room and he could stay with them that way.
Two ambulances had parked up since Eddie got here and neither of them had brought in his wife. He was starting to lose the feeling in his fingers and feet and at any moment he was sure he would throw up. If he hadn't of started the argument, (Y/n) wouldn't have gone on shift and she wouldn't have been hurt somehow.
The only silver lining here was that Chris was staying with Evan for the night. Eddie didn't have to panic and flutter about finding someone to look after Chris and waste time driving around. He had been able to get straight in the car and drive down to the hospital.
Eddie looked down to his phone again, desperate to call Athena but he knew better. His eyes flitted between his phone and the latest ambulance and he took two steps closer when the back doors opened.
Bingo.
"Athena!" He slipped his phone back into his pocket and skidded across the path to reach them, growling when one of the medics tried to push him back.
"Sir stand back-"
"That's my wife!" Both Eddie's hands moved to tangle in his hair and he started to yank harshly on the strands, feeling a few hairs coming loose between his fingers. His elbows pressed out at his sides and each breath started to run away from him when he realised what they were doing.
One of the medics was stood on the side of the stretcher, hands interlocked, arms straight, pushing compressions down on (Y/n)'s chest. Her heart had stopped.
There was an airbag attached to her mouth and nose, pushing each breath she needed through her system. Eddie spied a turniquet on her left leg and a bundle of gauze and rolls of bandage wrapped around her upper thigh that were starting to turn crimson. Another medic was stood on the other side, applying pressure and a large wad of gauze down onto (Y/n)'s left shoulder but the blood was everywhere. Soaked into her shirt, smeared up her neck, lathering the medic's hands and wrists.
Blood was splattered all over Athena. Her shirt, her hands all the way upto her elbows. A few droplets were even dotted on her cheek from back splash when she tried to stem the bleeding.
Eddie's feet were moving before he could comprehend what was happening and suddenly he and Athena were bolting inside down the hall after the gurney. They stopped only when the gurney travelled down a restricted corridor and the pair of them were left waiting, helpless in an empty corridor.
"What happened?"
"We were doing a welfare check… a woman fled the house and the husband open fired on the lawn. We didn't know he had a gun, there was nothing we could do."
"S-someone, shot her?"
He wasn't sure why, but gunshots didn't cross his mind when he saw the blood and the gauze padded onto his wife. He thought of knife wounds or a car accident. Eddie was married to a cop and a gunshot didn't even cross his mind.
He had to call Evan. And Maddie. He needed to find someone who would be able to watch Chris so Evan could come down to the hospital, he wouldn't be persuaded otherwise once Eddie called him and told him the news. (Y/n)'s siblings were the closest people to her, they were her world, the people who raised her when their parents couldn't. They would want to be here, waiting with Eddie for news.
What had he done? Why did he let her leave?
***
A groan tumbled past Eddie's lips and he slowly brought a hand up to his eyes, rubbing forcefully to try and wake himself up and take a look around. He could of cried when he realised he was in the same spot he had been hours ago. He wasn't waking up from this nightmare, he was trapped.
The moment he tilted his head up, his neck clicked into place and sent a shudder running down the base of his spine. His legs were numb and tingling, stretched out in front of him and his back was aching from falling asleep on the floor, leant up against the wall.
The chairs had been too uncomfy to sit on for long and when a panic attack took over him, Eddie curled up on the floor and hadn't moved since.
He stretched his arms above his head but when his eyes locked on a doctor aiming his way, Eddie jumped to attention. He stood up on wobbling legs and braced himself back against the wall with his hands clasped together in front of him. In the time it took the doctor to walk across the corridor to him, Eddie's hands were dripping with sweat and the back of his neck prickled with heat and goosebumps.
"Mr Diaz?"
His throat was too tight to speak so he settled for nodding his head and moved across with the doctor to sit on the chairs a few feet away.
Suddenly, Eddie was glad he was alone. If this conversation went the wrong way, Eddie didn't want to be around friends and family when he had a break down. Evan and Maddie were on their way here as soon as they could drop Chris off with Hen and Karen. Athena had gone to get changed after her interview with the chief of police and she would be back later with Bobby.
That left Eddie to sit and panic in the corridor for the last three hours, riding out the early morning in a state of perpetual fear he had never felt before.
"Your wife is out of surgery, it went very well."
Relief washed over Eddie like the tide claiming the sand and he let his body slump forward to land his head in his hands.
Thank God. It worked. She was okay.
"We removed both bullets, the one in her thigh was less severe. I'm afraid the shot to the shoulder managed to fracture into the joint. It will take longer to heal and your wife will need physiotherapy."
"She… she coded when she arrived…" Eddie wasn't sure what he was asking but he could feel the panic swirling around in his head. (Y/n) had stopped breathing when the ambulance pulled up. She had CPR on her way into theatre, that could have had a lot of adverse affects and cause lasting problems, depending on how long she was not breathing.
"We restarted her heart upon arrival, she's had normal rhythm since then and two blood transfusions. We were rather worried surgery would push her body into a miscarriage, but so far the fetus seems fine. We will keep doing daily observations just to make sure."
"What are you talking about?"
Her expression faltered and Eddie watched the way she fiddled with her hands on her lap, grimacing at her mistake. She should have eased into that conversation and tied to gage whether Eddie had any inkling about this or not. Now she had put her foot right in it.
"I'm very sorry, I presumed you would have known. Your wife is pregnant, congratulations, you are both very lucky under the circumstances."
Eddie's hands clamped together and he leaned forward, pressing his mouth against the side of his hand with a sudden desire to bite down into the flesh and rip it apart.
What had he done?
Their argument earlier in the night had been futile and pointless and he should have stopped her from leaving. If they took the test the night would have gone very differently. If they had worked things out and stayed home together, they would have found out this news in a few weeks and everything would have been better. (Y/n) wouldn't need to be pent up on bed rest and undergoing surgery and physio and cardiac arrest. She wouldn't have gone through all of this and ended up being shot if they didn't argue.
"I want to see her."
"Of course, this way."
Eddie could barely feel his legs when he stood up. He was trembling all over and he raked his nails over his thighs to try and ward off the sudden energy and adrenaline fuelling through his system.
"Eddie," The way she said his name when he bolted through the door made him shiver. He couldn't get her voice out of his head. When he closed his eyes, he could still hear her crying out for him while he sat motionless and powerless to do anything to help his wife. He was never going to get that shrill cry out of his head, no matter what he did to try and forget.
Tears were already streaming down his face by the time he stumbled over to the bed and reached out for her.
He could see the way her eyes blinked rapidly and how she tilted her head groggily to the side to try and lock her gaze onto him. She had only just started to come round from the anaesthetic.
Eddie let himself slump down on the side of the bed and he took a second to rake his eyes over his wife's frame. Her left arm was wrapped up in a sling, bound to her chest which she seemed rather put out and confused about. And he didn't dare look under the blanket to see how badly her leg would look. He could only imagine how discoloured, swollen and sore it was going to be. Eddie had had his fair share of bullet wounds in the past.
When her fingers curled around his bicep, Eddie slipped his hands beneath her back as carefully as he could and gently pulled (Y/n) up when she tried to lean over for him. Her right arm curled around his neck, scratching her nails into his skin and her face slumped forward onto his shoulder. While Eddie wrapped one arm around her lower waist to keep her pinned into his chest and his other hand cupped the back of her neck.
He buried his nose into her hair and sighed against the side of her temple, pressing as many kisses to her skin as he could manage.
"I'm sorry, I'm so, so sorry."
(Y/n) turned her head until she could press a butterfly kiss against the underside of Eddie's jaw and her hazy eyes tried to focus on him when he pulled his head back to look down at her.
"Hm?" What was he sorry for? From what (Y/n) could recall, Eddie hadn't been the one to shoot her. He hadn't done anything wrong, he didn't force her out the house or make her pick up that shift. She should have gone for a drive to clear her head instead of pushing herself to go on shift when she didn't need to. It was stupid of her.
"I shouldn't have let you walk out the door. If I didn't say all those things, you wouldn't have been hurt." Eddie tilted his head to the side and swiped his cheek against his shoulder to rid the tears from his eyes. words were never going to be enough to explain how horrid and idiotic and ruthless he felt for what had happened tonight.
"Baby, I walked out… I k- I knew going to work would be a bad idea," (Y/n) leaned forward again and buried her face into Eddie's neck, groaning into his shoulder when it felt like a storm was rolling into her mind.
"We should have taken the test,"
"Hm?"
(Y/n)'s lips twitched against Eddie's neck and she curled her hand against his back and nuzzled her nose into his neck. She couldn't see what he meant by that, unless there was some secret undertone she was missing. Her eyes soon opened and her lips parted when Eddie's arms suddenly unravelled from her skin and moved to cup her face instead. He smoothed his thumbs over her cheeks and gently lifted her head up from his neck so he could look down at her.
The hazy look in her eyes made his heart melt and when she tried to smile so sweetly up at him, Eddie shivered. She had been shot, twice, and had been on the brink of death and here she was trying to smile to calm him down.
"Mi amor, you're pregnant."
Confusion flooded her face and her eyes narrowed while her smile morphed into something closer to unsettling panic.
If this was some sort of joke, it was in very poor taste and it wasn't funny in the least. But the longer (Y/n) stared up at Eddie, the sooner she realised he wasn't trying to play some sick joke on her or guilt trip her. A cry burned at the back of her throat and she choked on her breath as her head started to shake.
"But… I," (Y/n)'s hand fumbled towards her shoulder and her leg twitched at the memory of being hurt. If she was pregnant, she had put herself and the baby in danger by going on shift tonight. She had been shot, how could the baby be okay after that?
"Shh, it's okay, you're both okay." Eddie's fingers brushed across her cheeks, wiping away the tears falling down her face before he leaned down to kiss her. "And I'm gonna make sure nothing else happens to you. I swear."
𑣲 the likeability paradox part 2 I @/thelastofhyde
joel miller is not a man who strives to be liked, with a chip on his shoulder and a scowl on his face, until his world is flipped on its axis when the pretty young thing living under bill and frank’s roof, with an irritatingly unwavering smile and the literal sun shinning out her ass, says those five damned words: i don’t like you, joel.
A little help.
I swear to you guys
I've been having meaningless thoughts lately
l have to write it down, even tho l requsted it to someone.
If you don't like anything from here or don't feel comfortable reading about it, please don't read.
Forewarning: It will definitely be smut, the reader is a single mom, breastfeeding, etc.
Summry: The reader is a single mother who is having trouble breastfeeding her baby, but Simon wants to make it easy for her and helps her with it.
After six years in the army, you suddenly had to take a break, and that break was probably because you were pregnant out of nowhere.
Well of course you knew exactly who the father of the child was, but after talking with him about the pregnancy, you once again realized that sleeping with him that night was the biggest mistake of your life.
It was not easy for you to leave the army, probably because you had many friends there, and not only that, but you also loved your job very much.
You already talked about the problem with your Captain, you wanted to tell others the reason why you had to leave, but somehow you were embarrassed ? It's as if you imagined yourself as that stupid girl you always said you won't be,
"How can I have fun with a man for one night and get pregnant."
You used to say always and the love of a idle man really dragged your life to end, as if, as they say, God was laughing at you.
You left Task Force 141 and left all your friends behind, and the most painful thing was to see those disappointed eyes through the skull masked merciless Lieutenant, who once valued you so much, but now thought you betrayed him.
The pregnancy was the most difficult for you, you had no one by your side, no one at all, went to the doctor alone, took care of yourself alone, you didn't have a man who would run to the end of the world for you in the middle of the night to find strawberries in the middle of winter.
But you were a strong woman, you survived the worst, and you knew that the day you found out the gender of your baby, you would go through anything for your little girl.
And that's what happened, you walked to the hospital alone because you spilled too much water and left the hospital in a five days with a small, healthy and beautiful girl in your arms.
When you hold little Vivienne in your arms first, you felt as if all the problems around you were gone, after that day everything seemed to be going better and better, you had enough money because of your old job, you had a house, and now you had a beautiful daughter.
You continued living with your daughter, waking up with her in the morning, feeding her, taking care of her, enjoying her and you didn't want anything else until one New Year's day, you heard a knock on the door of your house.
Your six-month-old girl, who was still wrapped in cute deer pajamas, you immediately took her in your arms because when you left her at such a time, she cried, that's why you immediately went to the door with your girl in your hands.
As you open the door, met those familiar cold eyes and skull mask.
The man fastly turned his blue eyes to you and then looked at the little girl, he looked a little surprised. "Did you start working as a nanny ?"
"What ?! Of course not, this is my daughter."
It was the only thing that came out of your mouth in protest and that surprised Simon even more.
"And when did you have time to have a baby ?"
Simon asked directly and didn't even think before you closed the door, he put his foot between the door and opened it strongly, he was strong then and still is.
"Listen, I don't have time for you, I have to feed Vivi."
You said and the man didn't even listen, he entered the house with his muddy boots and closed the door behind him.
In ten minutes, both of you were in the living room, you were still holding Vivienne, Simon sitting on the couch, was looking at you still, he didn't seem to know what to do, should he be angry with you ? Should he be happy or should he just reached for your waist and kissed you hard because of longing ?
"Tell me why you hid from me ? you know that I would understand you, for you I would be the Simon that I was not with anyone else."
The man looked at you and said, then looked at the little girl, and as if there was sadness somewhere in his words, which was the most unusual for a lieutenant you knew.
As if you didn't need much to open up, just a little push which Simon happend to do, you immediately sat next to Simon with the baby in your arms and told him everything that happened to you, everything what you went through without him.
"I didn't want to leave you, but I had no choice, I was ashamed to tell you about my pregnancy."
Those were your last words, and after that tears started to fall from your eyes, you couldn't hold them back.
The man laughed suddenly, his big scarred hands immediately went to your face and the man wiped the tears from your eyes.
"Damn, what a fool you are."
He said and gently grabbed your chin, then lifted your head up and you couldn't see through his mask but you were sure he was smiling.
Before it could turn into something more romantic, Vivienne suddenly burst into tears and that because she was hungry.
You immediately started to calm her down, while Simon's big hands now went towards your angel's small hands.
"It's amazing how small and innocent ."
The man muttered to himself, you hear it too, perhaps life was amazing, the hands of an man with lots of human blood on it and the hands of a little angel who has never felt anything other than her mother's breast.
"Listen, can l hold her in my hands ?" Simon seemed to have the courage and asked and you didn't even need a few minutes to think because Simon was the only guy you trusted with your little girl.
The man took the little child in his hands, the hands with which he mercilessly suffocated and chocked men, so gently, he was so careful that even you were surprised and smiled.
In a few seconds, Vivienne started to look at Simon's mask and even touched it with her little hands, In one part, I think she even wanted to drool over the mask, which made the man laugh.
"Soo is this your little troublemaker ?"
Simon said and looked at the little girl who was smiling, maybe if there was someone else in her place, she would have broken her hand for holding on to his mask, but Vivienne, like you, already had the right.
"I think I better feed her or she might really drool over your mask."
You smiled and said, looking back at Simon, who nodded and gently hand the baby to you.
You watched him for the next minute, hoping he would figure out what to do, but then, when he didn't understand anything, you tell him.
"I have to breastfeed her Simon, could you... ?"
Simon looked at you and then when he understood, he shook his head, realized that it wouldn't be entirely comfortable for you to be watched by him, so he turned away.
When you fed Vivienne, the girl's stomach was so full that she fell asleep in seconds and you immediately put her to bed.
Although you had problems because you always had more milk left, full breast.
When you put the little one to bed, you tiredly went out to the living room where Simon was still sitting on the couch waiting for you and sat next to him.
"Vivi will probably be asleep for a long time."
You sighed and continued talking, but you didn't realize that Simon was busy with something else, he was probably already dying to see your big tits naked, In his hands or his cock right between them.
"Simon, are you listening?"
You spoke and the man immediately looked down at your chest, seeing the leaked milk coming from your breasts on your T-shirt.
"Listen, I think you have a problem with your chest right there."
Simon said it as sarcastic as he used to be with you most of the time, while you immediately looked down at your chest.
"Damn it's leaking, I need a drainer."
You spoke and before you got up, the man immediately put his hand on your waist, gently pushed you back on your sit.
"Listen, I can help you."
The man said in all seriousness and you raised an eyebrow, immediately asking. "And How ?"
The man immediately put his arm around your waist and placed you on his laps, so that he was now looking directly at your breast.
"Shhh, don't ask questions, I know you want my help."
The man spoke and then lifted his mask just up his nose, slowly moved his hand under your T-shirt to your stomach, and soon your T-shirt was nowhere to be seen, so that now you were in a white bra only.
"Damn it, how I missed them."
The man spoke and placed his lips on your stomach and kissed it gently, then slowly moved up.
"Hmmm Simon a bit fast."
Upon hearing your complaint, the man immediately take off your bra and almost started drooling when he saw your breasts so full and round because of milk.
"What a good girl you are, damn it."
The man cupped both of your breasts with his big hands and then bent his head so that he kissed one and then the other.
Before you could say anything, the man pressed his lips to your breast at full speed and then sucked hard with his tongue around nipple, squeezing it with all his might, more milk started to leak.
The man this time took both your breasts firmly in his hands and squeezed one harder to make the milk come out, when he pulled his head out, he looked at you, who had both hands covering your mouth.
"Honey, this is the best milk I've ever tasted."
You can ask me anything you want guys, l will try to write it, because l have no brain to think about it much, thank you for reading it ☆
-Take a look around, it's you and me, it's here and now-
~X~ March 23rd, 2027 ~X~
It was cold, this entire place was as cold as ice for her, and it had nothing to do with the weather, or her clothing. She could put on the warmest clothes she owned, instead of her jeans and baby blue sweater, and she’d still be cold in this bare room with dull gray walls and a light that was too strong for her liking.
Truly, she should have been used to this by now, she should have known her life was going too well, that she was so happy, and that the universe wouldn’t allow that. Even after all she went through, all the horrible things that happened to her, it wasn’t enough, she had to experience true loneliness for the very first time in her life, to feel completely alone.
“I’m sorry miss L/N, we’ve been instructed not to allow any visitors,” the officer told her, and Tara had to take several deep breaths to calm down and not make a scene, though at this point she had no idea how she was controlling herself. Maybe because making a scene wouldn’t fix anything. It wouldn’t do her any good, it wouldn’t chase away the persistent cold. You had the right to visitors, much worse people had them, but apparently no one was allowed to see you. Not her, not your lawyer, despite threats that they would be sued for this no one budged an inch. There was no way to contact you.
Her hand touched her stomach, knowing there were plenty of reasons why she shouldn’t stress too much. “I’m her wife,” she repeated, hoping there was some humanity left in this man and that he would let her through to you. She needed to see you, even if it was in this cold, dark place, even if you were locked up. Even just seeing you would be enough to, at least for a bit, make her feel warm again. “I’m carrying her child, please, just for five minutes.”
He looked down, and while Tara could still hide it, a closer look would reveal that she was, indeed, two and a half months pregnant. “Well, it’s not exactly her child, is it? Get out miss L/N, this is your last warning,” he sneered and came up to her, ignoring her glare and ready to shove her if necessary.
“We get it, we’re leaving,” Danny stepped between Tara and the officer, just to be sure nothing would happen to her. “Come on, Tara, he won’t let you see Y/N,” he pleaded, gently taking her forearm and pulling her outside.
Tara let him, she followed him, through the nearly empty halls of the prison, defeated and not paying attention to the few officers that did look at her. You’ve been locked up for three weeks and no one was allowed to see you or hear from you. And Tara? Tara only had Danny left… You were locked up, Sam was gone, her friends weren’t there, they were dealing with their own lives, and while she missed them, Tara refused to ask them to come and stay with her. She didn’t want to involve them into this, she’d find a way to reach you eventually.
The fresh air outside the prison felt stale when you were locked up in the cold building she just exited. She got in the backseat of the taxi and Danny gave the driver his address as Tara got lost in her thoughts. Things were so much simpler and happier just a month ago, in fact, everything was going well ever since you recovered, over four years ago.
~X~ December 2022 ~X~
You were being mean, laughing at her and handing her the inhaler at the same time. Jerk… “You needed me so much you couldn’t breathe?” you dropped down unceremoniously next to her and pulled her closer the moment she returned the inhaler to the nightstand next to your bed.
Just to be slightly petty she playfully stuck her tongue out and turned her back to you, as much as her body tingled from what the two of you just did. And you just chuckled, spooning her and wrapping a strong arm around her waist. Despite your teasing she relaxed against you, enjoying the warmth and the feel of your bare skin against her back. “It’s not my fault you went crazy after I called you ‘baby’,” she sighed dramatically. She wasn’t sure she could move from the bed any time soon, not that she was complaining, besides, it was clear you got your stamina back and she was definitely no longer feeling pent-up.
You leaned closer to her, slowly kissing her just beneath her ear and Tara hummed in approval. She twisted around in your arms, baring her neck so you could keep kissing her. “I remember hearing something else as well,” you eventually reminded her, your tone low and slightly raspy and all the things Tara was weak to as she sighed when you left another mark on her neck.
She was confused for a moment, and then she turned completely red when she remembered exactly what you were talking about. “You’ll never hear that again,” she ducked down, hiding her face beneath your chin and just wrapping her arms around you.
“Whatever you say, Tara,” she could feel you smirking, she could sense it! Damn you for knowing exactly how to get her worked up, and for making her call you… no… she wouldn’t even think about that. She’d forget it! She’d make you sleep on the couch if you ever mentioned it. Or maybe not that. She needed you next to her to sleep well, so maybe she wouldn’t make you sleep on the couch. Forbid you from kissing her? No, she liked that too much to use it as punishment. She could sit somewhere other than on your lap?
Hell no!
She could take your car. Actually, that would get you to ban her from sitting on your lap.
She’d just make you play horror games without her. That’ll teach you.
She one hundred percent did not have that kink. Nope, it was a slip of a tongue, nothing more, and it would never happen again!
But then another thought popped into her head. And while there was a chance it was said in the heat of the moment, that it was just your desire and passion talking, you did kinda tell her you wanted to marry her. And while it easily could put you in a bad spot, she wanted to hear your thoughts now that you weren’t consumed by your desires. She didn’t doubt you wanted to spend the rest of your life with her, it was the actual marriage that she was wondering about, since you, somehow, never talked about your feelings on that.
Tara personally wanted to get married, she imagined how it would look when she was younger. Nowadays her imagination didn’t include big events, just something private, but she did want that with you.
“Say, Y/N, were you serious about wanting to marry me?” she asked, absentmindedly tracing random lines on your biceps. You still haven’t recovered all your muscles, but she could feel them under her touch, firm and strong, and she was sure you’d be back in shape before the end of the year. Not that you weren’t already in shape, just, you’d be back in the shape you were in before Bailey, his children, and Thomas attacked all of you.
“Completely,” you didn’t even hesitate, you just hugged her a bit tighter. “I’ll do the whole proposal thing sooner or later, but if you want to marry me, then yes, I am absolutely serious about that.”
Tara nodded, smiling brightly. “I do want to marry you,” she kissed you, from your neck, your jaw, all the way to your lips. “I want to spend my entire life with you,” the two of you haven’t even been together for a year, though it was close to a year now, your anniversary was less than a week away, but she had no doubt in her mind that what she said was exactly what she wanted. Her lips met yours and she nudged you slightly so you would get on your back, and she moved with you to straddle your abs. “I want to take your last name, to have-“ she suddenly stopped, just now realizing that was another topic the two of you never talked about.
“Tara?” you raised an eyebrow, confused by her silence.
“Do you want children?” she blurted out, because she did, she wanted at least one child, or two, maybe two would be better. Probably not more than two. She wanted to give someone a childhood she wished to have, as far as parents went. But even more than that, she wanted a family with you. Regardless of if it was just the two of you, or if there would be kids.
You kinda just… shrugged and now it was Tara’s turn to be confused. “Eventually, sure. I haven’t really thought about it, but I’m not against it,” you tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear and Tara sighed in relief. “If you want kids, we’ll raise them together, if you don’t, it’ll be just the two of us,” you pulled her down for a kiss and Tara felt like melting. “It’s not a deal breaker for me, nothing is as long as I’m with you.”
She definitely didn’t want kids right away, she wanted to finish college, get a job, get married and then, eventually, when both of you felt you were ready, either adopt or get pregnant. That, however, was topic for another day. In the back of her head, she worried about Ghostface coming back, but she could only believe in you, in your ability to come back to her, and her own ability to make sure she came back to you as well.
“You know, it’s good that you called me-“ she shut you up with a kiss. She knew exactly where you were going with that, and she would not let you finish that sentence.
“Don’t you dare,” she warned you. You just grinned at her, and even though you stayed silent she knew the word was on the tip of your tongue. She’d have to make you say something embarrassing as well eventually. With that thought in mind Tara kissed you one more time.
~X~ December 13th, 2023. ~X~
This was it. This was how you were going to have your second heart attack and drop dead. All things considered your panic-filled mind wondered if this could be considered suicide, because, all of this was, after all, your own doing. It would be fine, right? Tara did want this, she said so! Granted, the one and only time the two of you talked about this was over a year ago, but surely nothing has changed since then, right?
You still felt like you’d rather run a gauntlet, fight the strongest women MMA fighters one after another right now than actually go through with this.
“I can’t,” you were pacing around the hotel room, not even daring to glance at the tiny box on the table. Oh, if a bird swooped in from the skies and grabbed it you would be the happiest woman alive, because you’d at least have an excuse to postpone this. Maybe you should go and ask for some bird seeds or something similar, just to leave them near the box and hopefully lure said birds inside.
“Y/N!” Anika grabbed your shoulders and pushed, but she couldn’t get you to move. “Sit down you… mass of muscles and ridiculous strength only Tara gets to move!” she grunted and then just threw her arms up, and sat down herself. “Fine! Stand there!” she gave up. “If you don’t do this today, you’ll have to wait until next year, remember?”
You looked to the side, annoyed that she was right. Her hair was braided, and she was wearing a nice, bright and colorful dress Mindy was going to drool over tonight. It was December thirteenth. The second anniversary of your and Tara’s relationship and you were ready to propose. Well, as far as setting everything up was concerned. You booked the restaurant in this hotel, hooray for successful business, got the ring, dressed up, everything was ready. Mentally though… you were absolutely not ready.
The proposal was also why you were on an urgent business trip, why Anika went back to her parents, and why Mindy and Chad had to visit their mom, and why Sam and Danny would be taking Tara to a restaurant so she wouldn’t feel lonely, and you’d be making up for the urgent business trip tomorrow, when Tara turns twenty-one.
Which was all one big lie, aside from Sam and Danny taking Tara to the restaurant, all so Tara wouldn’t suspect anything.
“Or maybe, hear me out, I say screw important dates, and just randomly ask her one day?” you suggested, raising your finger to make a point.
Anika got up and began jabbing her finger above your chest. “You, Y/N L/N, are one of the best women MMA fighters, you lived through being shot, stabbed, impaled on a rebar, falling from a roof and won Sam’s approval to date her sister, which is probably the most impressive accomplishment of them all,” she told you with enough conviction to make your own doubts slowly ebb away. “You are going to go downstairs, dressed in that,” she looked you up and down and just stepped back. “that… let’s just say Tara is lucky, because, well, you dressed to impress,” and you did. You went all out, finding the best clothes for the occasion.
And then the phone rang, and you saw it was Danny calling.
Afraid something happened you immediately picked up and put him on a speaker. “Yes?”
“It’s a disaster,” he opened dramatically, his voice filled with panic. “Tara won’t dress up!”
You felt the tension from all of this, all the pressure from wanting to propose to her, all the worry caused by his call, it all just vanished, and you felt like you could breathe again. “Dude, let her come in whatever she wants,” you laughed, no longer feeling nervous. This was Tara, your Tara and you suddenly felt silly for even being nervous in the first place.
“She wants to come in your damn shirt! Not even a really nice one, but a random shirt she picked out, it’s a miracle she doesn’t look like a fashion emergency!” he whisper-shouted and you watched Anika’s jaw dropping as she heard that.
You laughed a bit too loudly. “So let her! Let my girl do whatever she wants, it’s her night!” you just sat down on the bed and couldn’t wipe the grin off your face.
“It’s a five-star hotel and she wants to wear an oversized shirt that looks more like a dress on her and jeans! She didn’t even do her hair or put make-up on!” he nearly yelled while you had a dreamy look on your face knowing Tara would still look more beautiful than anyone else in this whole hotel.
“Yup, let her, just bring her here,” you sighed dreamily, your mood swinging in the exact opposite direction.
“Unbelievable, both of you,” he groaned and hung up.
You looked at Anika, still flabbergasted by what she heard, and then at your usual clothes. “You know what, Tara has a point,” you’d wear fancy clothes for some special occasion, maybe tomorrow night when you take her out not as your girlfriend, but as your fiancée for the very first time.
“No! Y/N! I won’t let you!” Anika cried out, but it was too late now.
~X~
Dressing up… as if Tara wanted to do that tonight. You weren’t there, and she was basically being a third wheel on Sam and Danny’s date, so no, she wouldn’t dress up. She wanted to stay home, watch a movie, and wear your shirt so she could feel like you were hugging her. But, Sam insisted and she couldn’t say no to Sam’s pleading gaze.
Well, she’d see you tomorrow, so that was nice. Urgent business trips have happened ever since you opened your own company. You used the money you got from your retirement and ensured you could mostly work from home, but you still needed to leave every now and then to meet up with your business partners. Did it suck that you had to leave on your anniversary? Yeah, it did. Was Tara angry? No, just a bit lonely since everyone else seemed to leave as well, but you called her plenty of times today and she couldn’t wait to see you tomorrow.
The hotel Sam and Danny took her to… well, now she felt a bit silly for being dressed so casually, especially since Danny went for a dark brown suit and black turtleneck sweater and Sam went through trouble of doing her hair and wearing a light green long coat with shirt and pants. And Sam didn’t exactly dress up that often, she preferred casual clothes she could defend herself in if needed, and while Tara became cautious after what happened last year, Sam took it to the next level, and that made Tara worried for Sam, she wasn’t letting anyone new in, no matter what, even at work she kept to herself and barely even got out unless Tara or Danny specifically asked her to.
That made Tara feel a bit guilty, because this was actually Sam’s idea, and now that they were here Tara wondered if she really should have dressed up. If for no other reason than to show Sam she appreciated that Sam wanted to go out. She wanted to apologize, but Sam still looked so happy, so Tara figured she could apologize later tonight. She didn’t want to make Sam and Danny’s date uncomfortable before it even officially began.
She walked in behind them, noticing immediately the hotel restaurant was empty, sure, it was expensive and all that, but completely empty? No celebrities at the very least? And since when did Sam and Danny want to spend this much money of a single date? And then add even more costs by inviting Tara with them? And several people greeted them and took them to the round table set up for six people, where Chad, Mindy and Anika were waiting already.
They were all dressed up, and Mindy was rolling her eyes when she noticed how Tara looked. “Seriously Sam? You couldn’t get her to wear something else?” Mindy shook her head in utter disbelief.
“She’s stubborn, and well, the three of you didn’t do a better job anyway,” Sam muttered, further confusing Tara.
Several ideas were crossing her mind, but the table was set up for six people, and all thoughts of you somehow popping up were ruled out by that simple fact. Unless that was what you wanted her to think. Since it wouldn’t be that hard to just move things around a bit and make space for one more person, in fact, there was suspiciously wide open space between Chad’s chair and an empty chair next to him.
But everyone was dressed up. Anika was stunning, Mindy looked just as beautiful in that red, slightly revealing dress and Chad went for a more casual, button up shirt and suit combination, and that worried her, because he loved dressing in a more casual way.
“Still the most beautiful girl in the room though,” her jaw dropped at the sound of your voice, and she looked to the side as you came down the stairs, dressed just as casually as Tara, just simple, slightly tighter polo shirt and pants and a smile on your face as she ran up to you and jumped into your arms.
“What’s this all about? How are you here?” she wasn’t complaining, not in the slightest, she just wanted to know.
You laughed, lifting her up and carrying her bridal style to the table. “Well, I wanted to make this a bit fancier, but,” you looked down at her choice of clothing and grinned. “I think this suits us much better,” you lowered her back to her feet and guided her to the remaining free chair. She sat down, still looking at your eyes. “Tara Carpenter,” you went down to one knee and pulled out a box making Tara’s jaw drop as she saw a beautiful ring that matched the necklace you bought her for her eighteenth birthday. “Will you marry me?”
Tara refused to cry, she wasn’t going to cry, she was absolutely crying as she fell into your arms and hugged you as tightly as she could. “Yes, a hundred times yes!” she exclaimed as your friends cheered around the two of you.
You laughed at that, and got up, lifting Tara up in the process and hugging her tightly. “I love you,” you kissed her lightly, but she wasn’t having any of that as she deepened the kiss right away, her hand cupping your cheek.
“I love you too,” she whispered against your lips when you separated and you put a ring on her finger and she pulled you down for another kiss.
~X~ Present day ~X~
The two of you got married on your third anniversary, exactly a year after you proposed, and last year you decided you’d try IVF and then, when Tara and you told Sam about it… well, that’s when it all started going downhill, as Sam grew more and more irritated and angry and would leave for several days at a time. Tara tried to be patient, she tried to understand her sister, to be there for her, but it was starting to take its toll on her as well, because no matter how she approached Sam nothing seemed to be working. And then something she feared the most happened. Despite how much she tried to tell you it was fine, it happened, you snapped.
~X~ December 2026 ~X~
Getting married didn’t change anything, Sam was still living with Tara and you, and her and Danny were still not living together. They’d spend nights together occasionally, but Sam never brought up the idea of him moving in, or her moving to his place. “Sam, please, just tell me what’s going on,” Tara pleaded when Sam once again chose to ignore how worried she was making Tara be.
“Nothing is going on,” Sam shut her down, not even once looking at Tara as she sat in your shared kitchen. You were out, buying groceries for tonight’s dinner, you and Tara wanted to make this dinner feel special, since it’s been a while since Sam was home for more than a few days. And this time she actually made it through the week without disappearing. “Just make sure to take care of yourself when you get pregnant,” there was frustration in Sam’s voice that Tara immediately noticed.
“Are you angry at me?” Tara asked, not really having any ideas as to why Sam would be angry, but it just felt like she was. Surely she wasn’t angry because Tara wanted to have children, right?
“No,” and Sam refused to elaborate and in her anger and frustration reached into her pocket for her cigarettes just as you came back home. Tara knew Sam never truly quit smoking, though she tried several times, but in all the years since Sam began smoking she never smoked near Tara, and she always made sure Tara couldn’t smell the cigarettes. So, Tara was shocked, but she didn’t say anything, fearing it would make Sam leave again. Her asthma was more manageable, she could handle a cigarette, she hoped.
The doors opened at the worst possible moment and Tara watched your face twisting in anger as you realized Sam had lit a cigarette. “Drop it! Sam, drop it right now!” if there was one thing, just one thing that didn’t involve actually harming someone you loved that would make you snap instantly, it was someone who knew Tara had asthma trying to smoke near her.
“Baby, wait,” Tara got up, stopping you before you could take the cigarettes from Sam. This was already a volatile situation, Sam was frustrated, you were angry, and Tara needed to calm things down. “Let’s just go to our room, okay?” she took the groceries from your hand and placed them on the table, noticing ojo de pancha from a nearby bakery Sam loved at the top. She reached up, cradling your cheek, feeling and seeing the tension on your face. She pulled you closer, relaxing slightly when she felt you relaxing a bit. “Do it for me?” she spent her entire childhood listening to her parents arguing, then to her mother and Sam arguing, she didn’t want to listen to you and Sam arguing as well, especially for her sake.
You sighed, but nodded, ready to just let it be, until Sam spoke, not even bothering to put the cigarette out. “What are you two even thinking? What if Ghostface comes after us again?!” Sam demanded and Tara turned to look at her, at the fury in her eyes.
“Sam?” she called out, not recognizing her sister. She knew Sam was paranoid, but this much? “We weren’t attacked for over four years,” she tried to remind her as she took your hand and took a few steps back, away from Sam’s rage and from the smoke and despite knowing Sam would never hurt her you stepped between her and Sam.
“Tara has me, I won’t let anyone hurt her, or our child,” you said, for the first time in fifteen years you’ve spent as Tara’s best friend, as her protector, as the one person she could always rely on, the guard dog barked at her sister. “You included, Sam, so put that damn cigarette out before I make you,” you warned, your tone dangerously low.
You would turn twenty-six in a bit less than half a year, and for the lack of a better word, you were at your peak. Stronger than even when you fought for the title, or when you fought against Thomas. Speed, strength, skill, all of that was as high as you could take it, and it was one of the reasons why you chose to start a family now, because Tara did worry about Ghostface coming back, and so did you. So, if the two of you wanted children this was the absolute best time to do it, even if it meant starting your family at a fairly young age compared to most couples. You’d be able to maintain this peak for several years, and you’d be close to it well into your thirties if you kept training the way you did now.
Sam scoffed and walked out, and despite Tara’s pleas, she didn’t come back for a week. And Tara? She just cried in your arms, feeling like she was once again losing her sister.
~X~
Looking back now, it was like Tara was looking at herself from back when you first came to New York, only Sam was almost thirty and angrier than Tara ever was. When Tara found out she was pregnant, she wanted to have you and Sam there, but Sam just… left… abandoned Tara again, and no one, not her, not you, not Danny, no one could reach her. For nearly three months now, Tara had no idea where Sam was. And she felt as if her life had fallen apart completely.
Chad, Mindy and Anika left New York a while ago, Chad pursuing his football career, which took him to Miami last year, while Anika and Mindy formed a rising star duo, directing horror movies all over the country for the past two years. So, her group was scattered, and while they all stayed in touch, Tara was only left with you as her constant. Danny was there as well, trying to be supportive while Sam was going through whatever she was going through, but it really was just you and her.
And then, three weeks ago you got arrested, framed for murder you didn’t commit. And the victim? Your own father? He was stabbed, and despite her best efforts, Tara had no idea why you even went there in the first place, she just knew you didn’t do it.
A/N: Right, Tara is pregnant. I’m sure that won’t raise the stakes at all. Anyway, this is my Scream 7, I'm not watching anything unless Melissa and Jenna are back. Have fun with Lost season 2!
Joey B Blurbs: Yogurt
————————————————————————-
Summary: You leave Joe unattended for five minutes, and he thinks that your newly mixed homemade lotion is yogurt…
(Part One to - Part 2)
Warnings: Fluff
Pairing: Joe Burrow x reader
Imagine Universe: Into The Mystic
————————————————————————-
*30 weeks pregnant*
Joe and I were at the beginning of getting ready for date night.
It was a pretty chill day at the house so far, we all slept in, had breakfast, and spent the day chilling on the couch.
Joe even tried to teach the twins how to play Super Smash Bros, but I intervened and shut that down pretty quickly.
Now, Joe and I were upstairs in our bathroom getting ready.
I just ironed Joe’s clothes, which I also picked out, and sent him to the bedroom to change while I used the bathroom.
In all honesty, I wasn't using the bathroom, I was setting up a prank.
After posting a couple of my pranks that I've done on Joe on TikTok as a Christmas present to his fangirls, a couple of the other WAGs have sent me ideas to try on him.
Tianna, Cody Ford’s GF, sent me this idea where the girl leaves an unmarked jar of seemingly yogurt out on the counter with a spoon inside of it, her boyfriend thinks it is yogurt and eats it.
Joe has always been one to steal a bite of my food when I wasn't watching, so I knew he'd take the bait.
After I was finished setting up the prank, I called Joe into the bathroom to see his outfit.
“Watcha think?” - Joe
“You look amazing. It's screaming dilf.” - you
“Yeah?” - Joe smirked
He reached out and grazed his fingertips over my bare bump.
It was a date night tradition for me to put my outfit on last. It would be revealed to Joe as he stood at the door, and I walked down the stairs to him.
So for now, I'd wear my undergarments and a robe, or when I'm pregnant, I'd opt for one of Joe’s t-shirts.
“Wait I need to go put some juice pouches in the fridge for the boys’ dinner later.” - you
My phone was already set up discretely in our heated towel rack, so when I left the room I hit the record button on my Apple Watch.
I actually did go downstairs and put juice pouches in the fridge like I said I would and came back upstairs to hear any reaction from Joe.
Just as I am striding into the bathroom, I hear a gagging sound.
Joe was under the faucet, frantically rinsing his mouth out.
“What happened?!” - you
He leaned up and wiped his mouth off with the towel above the toilet, giving me a stank face as he pointed to the jar of lotion.
“Whatever that is, is fucking disgusting.” - Joe
There was so much sassiness behind his tone that I couldn't help but bust out laughing.
“Probably because it's lotion, Joe.” - you
“Lotion?! I thought it was yogurt. It literally has a spoon in it!” - Joe
“That's because I just mixed it up.” - you
That's a lie, I squeezed it out of a bottle into a jar.
“This is another prank, isn't it? Where's your phone at?!” - Joe
I pointed to the towel rack and Joe slowly rolled his head toward it.
When he saw it, his shoulders dropped defeatedly, and Joe let out a big sigh.
“I got you back.” - you singsonged
I poked him in the stomach repeatedly, and Joe didn't even move just shifted his eyes from the camera to me as he playfully glared.
“Bruh.” - Joe
Giggling as I hugged Joe against me, he patted my back dismissively. He was annoyed but wouldn't ignore my touch.
“You’re lucky I love you.” - Joe
“I know.” - you laughed
Joe ended up laughing with me before pressing a kiss on my forehead.
“Yay. More footage of me getting pranked my teammates are gonna shove in my face.” - Joe
“It’s okay, Joe, I'm sending their girls ideas to prank them too.” - you giggled
“That's my girl.” - Joe kissed your forehead again
Twist and turns
Rhea Ripley x prego!fem! Reader
Tw: struggles with Ivf problems, many failed attempts at pregnancy! Early labor! Small pregnancy complications
word count: 1.3k
Y/n’s pov
I sit in the judgment day locker room alone to say, this is the first time in 9 months I’ve sat in here alone, but no one could sit in because they had a big promo they had to do. I hold my stomach feeling my baby’s move around, I’m so excited to meet them, they are going to be welcomed into such a lovely family. I thought as my mind drifted off to the years before. Me and Rhea got married when we where both 21, that was almost three years ago, this has been a very long possess, i sat up countless nights crying because we picked up yet another negative test, this whent on for about two years until the day i remember it like it was yesterday.
Flash back
Me and rhea sit in our bathroom floor, “darling..you know if this test comes back negative we will have to wait at least six months before starting all of this over” she looked up at me as we wait for the five minutes to past “dont think like that baby. I have a felling this time” i whispered softly, smiling at her, i move from the tolet to her on the floor as she holds me. “Beep! Beep! “ the alarm had whent off, rhea whent to grab the test off the counter when it falls off onto the floor, i glance down at it to see two lines, TWO LINES! I instantly began to cry tears of pure happyness “Rhea! Its postive! We are having a Baby!!” She jumps up picking me up and spinning me around kissing me like a million times, we where so happy, this was actually happening. We stayed in the bathroom for about half our just crying with happiness. Soon we walked back to our room and called the judgment day group chat. They knew today was the day I was supposed to take my test, and we called them every time even when it was negative, we tryed to hide the smile on our faces. Dom was the first to pick up, we waited for the others to join before saying anything. “Hey y/n hi rhea what’s it say?” Finn asked in a soft tone not wanting to hurt us anymore if it was negative. I couldn’t help but smile and that’s when damien caught on “oh my god!! Wait?!” He said loudly over the phone the other two boys looked so confused. “A little baby Ripley is on the way!” I yelled. They all cheered, dom even started crying with me, “oh my god I’m so happy!” I cryed into Rheas shoulder. It was the best day of my life.
End of flash back
In three weeks I get to meet my little girls, three weeks, every thing is planed perfectly, Rheas family is flying out in two weeks, Rhea and the rest of the judgment day are getting a month off in two weeks, I’m just so happy, all this excitement made me really hungry, and I was out of snacks in the locker room. I know I’m not supposed to leave the locker room that was everyone’s rule the second they found out, just because people would bother me to get at the others
I started to feel sick so I needed to get up and get some food, I got up putting on rheas hoodie before walking out of the locker room, no one was really out, so I made my way to the where I know they had food.
I must have made some turn the wrong way because now I find myself in some random hallways that’s kind of scary, I get this wave of anxiety come over me and I feel like I’m being followed so I continue to walk faster, eight almost nine months pregnant with twins, it isn’t easy to walk fast, I quickly realize that I have to turn around this hallways was a dead end. I turn around and instantly get met with karrian cross and his girlfriend or what not Scarlett, “um..” I say softly “miss little y/n Ripley, how are you and your little baby’s doing” karrian reached out to touch my stomach, I quickly stepped back “please don’t touch me” I said fear clearly in my voice “don’t tell me what to do Mrs. Ripley, I will touch you if I want!” He reached out once more this time I backed up and I ended up cornered, “please leave me alone, I don’t want any problems” I start to panic “please, please don’t hurt me or my baby’s, they are innocent, they are pure” I begged. I started feeling horrible pains in my stomach, and I panicked “Mhmm, I don’t know, I don’t know how innocent they are, saying how long it took you to get pregnant with them, what was it I heard? Two years?and you have struggled your whole pregnancy” Scarlett spoke, tears came rushing out from my eyes “please! Leave me alone!” I yell the pain in my stomach becoming almost unbearable. “Hey?!” I hear someone yell, “what the fuck leave her alone” I look up to see one of my close friends Sami zayn. That’s all I really before I passed out.
“Is she okay, are my girls okay?!” I hear yelling as I wake up to see a bright light in my eyes.. “R-rhea..?” I mumble out, instantly her head shoots over to beside my head, “oh my god, your okay, darling, what happed! Why where you in that hallways, why did you leave the lockeroom?” She questioned me, “are the girls okay?” I asked simply, “maam, you are in late stage, early labor, we are transferring you to the hospital, where you should be able to deliver with mild complications.” All I could feel was the pain, from what I was guessing was contractions, it made my head spin. Rhea held my hand as I cryed out in pain as we made our way to the hospital.
We soon made it to the hospital, where I had to be taken in for emergency cessation surgery, i remember waking up to rhea hold our two little girls in both of her arms when I finally woke up. “How are they..”I asked weakly “healthy and absolutely beautiful..just like their mother”she said before carefully handing me the girls “Athena, she’s the one with the darker hair..and Kyra she’s the one with the birth mark on her cheek” Rhea said before kissing me “I love you, I love you three so much” I said softly. “If it’s okay, the boys want to come over in a bit, dom tried to force them to let him come in right after the delivery.” She said softly “of course our girls need to meet their uncles, what about your parents?” I asked her “they are heading down tomorrow” she said.
I slid over in bed as I laid there with rhea and my girls, all three of them sound asleep, it was so peaceful, well that was until the boys got there, dom come rushing through the door, almost tripping when he got in causing Rhea to wake up. “Good going dom dom” I joked and gave him a weak smile, to which he returned with tears in his eyes “why are you crying dom?” I asked “I was just so worried about you, I haven’t slept. I’ve texted rhea and the boys all day, and I just couldn’t wait to meet my nieces when rhea told me that you guys where healthy” he rambled on before Finn stopped him “don’t talk the poor girls ear off”, they all walked closer seeing the two small baby’s in my arms, them asking their names, and us continuing talking, they stayed there for about two hours before leaving because I was tired.
The end! Thanks for reading! If you liked it please leave a request of your own!
Xoxo, v4mp-
Synopsis: you tell Regulus some big news, and Regulus tells Sirius
Wordcount: 1.0k
Author's note: @morallyundefined gave me this idea in a comment on a recent post I made, and I was immediately struck with ideas, so thanks :-)
—---------------------------------------------------------------------
You really should've known this was going to happen. With the way that you and Regulus go at it, you're kind of surprised it hasn't happened sooner. You were just worried about how Regulus was going to take it. You knew he loved you, and his top priority was always to protect you, so you hoped that he would expand that priority to this child.
You were nervous. Very nervous, and Regulus could tell. He could always tell when it came to you. Just like you could tell when it came to him. You two were open books with the other, so you knew that his stare meant that he was silently trying to figure out what was making you so nervous in the first place.
“Mon amour, will you tell me what's got you so worked up now?” Regulus asks once all the dishes are done and the two of you are sitting on the couch. You sigh, but say, “alright, just-stay here for a second.” With that, you go to the bedroom and get the five pregnancy tests, plus the shirt that reads “daddy in more than one way” on it and put them in a gift bag for Regulus to open.
When you walk back into the living room, you see your husband in the same spot that you left him in, though his knee is bouncing now.
“I wanted to do this a little differently, but here,” you smile, handing him the bag. He looks at you with a raised brow, but opens it anyways, breathing in harshly when he realizes what's inside it.
You expected all sorts of things, ranging from him shutting down to straight up leaving you. But what you did not expect was for him to sit there staring at one of the tests silently crying. No, you didn't prepare for that at all.
So when you sit down next to him with your hand on his knee, you really didn't expect him to pull you into the softest of hugs that you’ve ever received.
“So… you're not mad?” You ask, needing to make sure that he's happy about this. Regulus pulls away from the hug, and looks at you like you've grown two heads.
“Chérie, why would you ever think that I would be mad about a mini you coming into this world?” He asks incredulously. You smile, and let out a small laugh, “maybe it was a tad silly to think that way, but yes. This is why I was acting weird during dinner.”
Regulus smiles, and puts one hand on your stomach and one on your cheek, then leans in and kisses you. You smile when he pulls away, and say, “You know you're going to have to tell Sirius right?”
“Why’d you drag me here reg?” Sirius asks for probably the millionth time. They had just entered one of the muggle escape rooms that you had recently shown him, where Regulus was going to deliver some very big news to sirius. It had taken a lot of convincing for the employees to set all of this up, but when they found out what was happening (along with quite a bit of money), they couldn't say no to the offer.
So the fact that he still hasn't figured out how all the clues pointing to someone being pregnant could relate to them makes Regulus want to pull his hair out.
“Okay Regulus, I've been in here with you for long enough. Tell me why you brought me here. Now,” Sirius says, poking his finger in his little brother's chest teasingly.
Regulus sighs, but relents anyways, saying, “Y/N thought we could use the bonding time. She showed me this place once and I thought you might enjoy it.”
“Aww, Reggie, you do like me!” Sirius coos, hugging his brother. Regulus groans, and pushes him off, grumbling about “finishing this room already.”
It takes a few more minutes of figuring out the escape room, but eventually, Sirius asks, “have you noticed how all of these clues seem to elude to someone being pregnant?”
“Someone is pregnant Sirius,” Regulus responds, looking up from what he was doing.
“But… we’re both boys?” Regulus sighs and turns to Sirius, giving him a good hard look until it clicks in his head.
“Yes. Who else do we know that could possibly be pregnant?” He asks, trying to help Sirius along.
“Lily. Is Lily gonna have another baby?” Sirius asks.
“Why would I know that before you? Who else could be pregnant?” Regulus responds, rubbing his temples. I should've just gotten him a shirt, he thinks to himself.
“Uhhhhhh… Y/N?” Sirius guesses.
“Yes! Fucking finally, y/n est enceinte, crétin,” Regulus throws his hands up happily, glad that he figured it out.
“That's amazing! Congratulations, Reg!” Sirius cheered, hugging Regulus.
“Thank you Sirius, I'm really happy about this.”
“You should be! This is a good thing that's happening to you, you should soak up every second of it.” Sirius smiles softly at him, then continues. “Look at you. You really are all grown up now huh? You’ll be a great father, Regulus. I'm sure of it.”
“Thank you,” Regulus says quietly, a small sniffle coming out. Sirius grins, and pulls him into another hug, this one a lot softer though.
“You'll be a good uncle Sirius,” Regulus pulls away from the hug, “though i'm sure you're going to teach her things I don't approve of.”
“Her? You already know the gender and I'm just finding out?” Sirius asks incredulously.
“No. We don't know the gender yet. But I have a feeling that she'll be a girl.” Sirius barks out a laugh, and claps Regulus on the shoulder.
“Of course you do,” he shakes his head, but says, “will you be happy if it’s a boy though?”
“Sirius, if my baby is a boy, I would be the happiest man ever. But I think we’re having a girl. Now lets finish the fucking room. I have a pregnant wife to get back to.”
Hidden Feeling - {part 2}
“It’s the big day!” Your little sister says fixing your hair while smiling at you through the mirror. “I know…” the solem tone in your voice raised some red flags in your sisters head. “What’s wrong? It’s your big day!” She repeated and you just rolled your eyes not wanting to make eye contact with her. “It’s not just my big day, it’s mine and Sae’s. I know he was fine with paparazzi being here I just don’t know how I feel about it.” She sighed and turned you around in the chair to look at her.
“Just think of it as it just being you two.” She said rubbing your arms and smiling at you. “But what if she’s there? I don’t think I can do it…I’m too scared.” You said hugging your body then turning back around in the chair. “So you don’t want to marry me now?” Letting out an annoyed groan you didn’t want to turn around because you already knew he had this look of disappointment on his face.
“Give us a minute.” He said to your little sister, you could hear her heels clinking against the floor then exiting the room. “Y/n. Look at me. Baby look at me.” He said standing behind you with his hand on your head. “What’s wrong?” He leaned down and started kissing on your cheek, “I just don’t like the thought of everyone here…I wanted our wedding to be small and private…” “I know how to fix that.” He said standing up and walking towards the door.
“Put your dress on.” He exited the room and closed the door behind himself. After ten minutes he came back into the room with the marriage official, “Sae what is this?” You said standing up and holding onto the bottom of your dress, “we’re getting married right here right now just the way you want it.” There was a small blush on your cheeks as you walked closer to your soon to be husband and grabbed his face. You leaned in and placed a kiss on his lips. “Thank you.”
“Put it on, stop being so difficult.” You said fixing the buttons on your husbands shirt and glancing over his shoulder to make sure that your kids were behaving themselves while you were out in public. Your eldest son is nine, your middle kids are seven and then your youngest is three and then last but not least you’re five months pregnant with your fifth child. “We’ve been doing this for too long, I’m tired.” He said undoing the necktie that you just fixed along with the microphone.
“ITOSHI SAE! Stop it. This is the last interview for the year before our family trip. Please behave, how are your kids doing better than you?” He scoffed and refixed his tie then placed a kiss on your lips before leaving the room and walking onto the stage. Everyone clapped and cheered as he sat down and had this passive aggressive attitude towards the lady. The same interviewer who had a lot to say 11 years ago.
“Before you start this irrelevant conversation I have a question for you myself. Are you still trying to chase after men you know you can’t have? Or are you still being a gold digger?” Everyone in the crowd gasped at his question but then started laughing at her reaction. She was pissed, beyond pissed at that. “I-I only had one question. How’s life been so far since your shotgun secret wedding?”
“I’ve truly enjoyed life with my WIFE and my children. I’m very happy with how everything has been and I’m excited to see how we will grow especially since my WIFE and I are expecting our fifth child in four months.” People started clapping at the news while you sat there in shock, as much as the world knew you only had one child. Now they know you’re on your fifth child. “Five kids?” She asked setting her notecards down and looking up at him, “yes I guess you can say I just LOVE my WIFE.” he emphasized while looking at his watch for the time.
“We are all glad you’ve found the happiness you’ve wanted and more.” She said not making eye contact with Sae then ending the live interview. Sae exited the stage and headed straight towards the dressing room to come and see you. Just in the time span of 15 minutes he missed you, a lot. “Stop running Sae.” You said from behind him as you had just walked out the bathroom with your youngest daughter standing behind you. He turned and gently grabbed your face to kiss you.
“I love you Y/n.” you glanced up at him in confusion. “I love you Sae.” you responded rubbing his cheek as he looked down and hurriedly picked up his daughter who was hiding behind your leg. “And I love you SiSi.” he said kissing her cheek and making her laugh from her shy nature.
Later that night while you and your kids were sleeping on the sofa from watching a movie, Sae had taken a photo of you all and posting it on his instagram.
i want to request a part 2 to the bonten cheating on reader for a 2nd time where the reader leaves them. it can either be angst or not. whatever you choose i just want to see any ending because it was really good 😭. just to refresh your memory of which one i’m talking about the ending says “if you actually mean it were al going to therapy” or something along those lines. Thank you
Fun fact, I couldn't find this fic for like five minutes till I went to my notes where I write and realized it was an event lmao
(name) sat on a chair as his alphas sat on the couches away from him, the therapist calm and collected as they stared at the large pack "we can start whenever you're ready"
"They lied and cheated and betrayed my trust" (name) said bluntly, arms crossed and not even looking at his mates "they broke the basic rule of our relationship not once but twice"
"I gave them an ultimatum, come here to therapy so we can figure out why they can't keep their dicks where they belong or I leave" (name) said seething, his ring finger bare and scent patches on his neck.
"I see, well thank you for sharing (name), I understand how this can be difficult for you" the therapist said calmly and turned to the alphas "and how are you all feeling about the situation" they asked calmly and Bonten was silent, not wanting to talk to the therapist but when (name) gave them a look to say 'fucking try me' Kakucho was the first to open up "It feels like shit"
"Could you elaborate?"
"We know we did something fucking awful, not once but twice" he said softly "we didn't deserve the first forgiveness and we definitely don't deserve this, I am honestly surprised (name) didn't go full no contact with us...he's not even staying with us anymore"
"I see, do any of you wish to share anything you feel? Remember this is a judgment free space and confidential"
Besides Kakucho, the rest of Bonten were pretty tight lipped about their feelings and after five minutes of silence (name) sighed annoyed "well this was fun, maybe next session you guys can learn the gravity of this"
Last night (name) learned something... Terrifying.
He was pregnant.
Somewhere between the first apology and the second affair (name) got pregnant and he desperately wanted his kid to know their dads but he didn't want them to betray the pup like they did (name).
He wouldn't allow it.
Bonten felt like shit but it wasn't easy for them to open up in any capacity, their entire jobs revolved around secrets!
But (name) wasn't a job.
He was their mate.
And he deserved better.
Chifuyu was gentle with his brother, the beta wanted nothing more than to beat their asses for what they did.
But sadly this was his brother's battle.
He was on (name)s side of just leaving them but they both knew it wouldn't be that easy, they were territorial and possessive alphas after all.
But that didn't stop him, kazutora and Baji from putting together a crib and such, the three having two spare rooms as they shared one.
The two were surprisingly excited at the concept of (name) staying with them even if for sad circumstances.
"I feel like I don't deserve him" Koko said simply, hands in his lap as he continued "seriously, were awful people and he puts up with our bullshit and does shit we don't deserve without any complaints! I don't know what god we sucked off in a past life to get this lucky"
The other men made sounds of agreement as (name) sat in silence, letting them continue "he's dealt with us at our ugliest and still gave us a chance, hell he sacrificed everything for us"
"And we took it for granted" Mikey spoke up, having been silent the entire session.
"My family would be ashamed of me" the tired blond said simply.
(Name) was pleased they were talking about this, actually making an effort.
The next few sessions were separate, each person getting to talk about stuff one on one to the therapist and actually learning to work through things.
"I have something to tell you guys" (name) said softly, sitting the men down after a therapy session and they could see the nervousness on (name) "i-im pregnant" (name) said practically shaking as the men sat in silence.
"When did you find out?"
"A week after you guys cheated the second time" (name) said staring at his hands and Bonten felt their heart break, they really didn't fucking deserve him and they knew he was probably debating on even telling them.
They should have been angry but the therapy made them understand that (name) didn't trust them at all anymore.
It also helped them understand their feelings and that there's serious shit they need to work on.
"If... If you guys improve by the ninth month... I will consider moving back here"
(Name) would be a dirty liar if he said he didn't miss the touch of his mates, cuddles and sleepy hugs.
But he wasn't a fool and he wasn't going to forgive them like that.
But he wanted what's best for his pup.
"We promise--we will do our best to be good enough for you"
Look at Us Now — Ch. 6
Fic masterlist
This chapter is a little atypical, but we’ll get to our regular schedule next week. I almost rewrote everything last minute because this is a little too charged, but I hope you like it 😅
Warnings: language, incarceration
Word count: 3,7k
Calling his students out for their little looks and whispers would only make things worse.
It was no surprise, considering how his night routine with Fenrys consisted on listening to all the gossip his friend learned throughout the day. News ran fast inside this base.
It took only one day for the entire Air Force to find out that Rowan was sent to the guardhouse for improper sexual conduct. It was only his fifth day, half of his sentence, and he was beginning to wonder if going to work was that much better than spending all his time in a cell. Rowan couldn’t stand all the curious or pitiful looks he was getting, and it was almost as bad as the shame he felt weighing down his chest.
“Whitethorn!” Lorcan barked, coming his way and scaring away the recruits around.
“Captain.” His salute was the same he’d do to any superior. They were friends, yes, but every step Rowan took had to be thinly calculated. He was doing everything by the book to regain his reputation.
“You are the dumbest person I’ve ever met.”
Lorcan had his arms crossed, eyes narrowed at him. Rowan nodded in agreement.
“You’ve told me that plenty of times over the last five days, sir.”
“I got the doctor’s report on this last class two days ago. Turns out Galathynius didn’t do her test because she’s pregnant.”
Rowan nodded, not saying a word and feeling his stomach drop. As proud as he was to become a father, he didn’t like the way Lorcan, his boss, was leading this conversation.
“And don’t you think it’s strange that, right after that, her uncle locked you up?”
Rowan just hummed in acknowledgement. He would find out eventually, but Rowan was saving this conversation for a time where Lorcan wasn’t so pissed at him.
“And don’t you think it’s even stranger that Galathynius showed up at the training center thirty minutes ago, demanding to speak with you, even though you were busy and your position leaves you with no privileges whatsoever?”
“Where is she?”
Aelin was here. To talk to him. All of his insides twisted and quivered with the realization. He didn’t know if she was here to yell or make peace, but he’d take anything after five days of not being able to go after her because of his fucking sentence.
“She’s at my office.” Lorcan gripped Rowan’s forearm when he mentioned to leave. “I’m trying to help, but you’re walking a very thin line here, Whitethorn. Do not. Do. Anything. Dumb.” His friend squeezed his arm, making sure he understood how serious this was. “Copy that?”
“Yes, sir.”
“I hope the kid puts some sense into your head,” Lorcan disclosed, but Rowan barely listened to him. He was walking as fast as he could, heart hammering against his chest each step he took.
When he opened Lorcan’s office door and recognized that silky golden hair, half of the weight on his shoulders vanished. The other part was still there, with promises of getting better or worse depending on how this conversation went.
“Did you read my letters?”
“All four of them.” Aelin gave him a tentative, close-lipped smile. “I would’ve come sooner if I knew about them. Lieutenant Moonbeam was delivering them at the wrong house.”
“Who did he gave them to?” His voice was taut and low as his mind ran the million different ways Fenrys could’ve got this wrong.
“Don’t worry.” She snorted. “He dropped them at my uncle’s, but I’m staying with my cousin now. Philippa gave them to me tonight, and I drove straight here.”
“Oh.” Rowan’s shoulders dropped in relief. It wasn’t Fenrys’ fault, then. Rowan was the one to give the wrong directions. “I didn’t know you moved.”
“It’s recent.” Aelin bit her lip. “I’ve been staying at Aedion’s spare room since Monday. It’s fine.”
Monday. She left her uncle’s house the day Darrow locked him up. Rowan wanted to ask if something happened, but he didn’t want to say anything that would risk his actual goal, that was getting on an agreement about the baby. Which he would start to work on now.
“I was a jerk the other day. I’m so sorry.”
“I know you are.” She seemed much calmer than when she left on Monday. It was probably because of Rowan’s clumsy groveling through desperate letters.
He was going to be a father.
That word couldn’t seem to leave his head, and he didn’t want it to.
Coming from a big, loud, loving family, of course Rowan wanted to have kids. At the right time. Which definitely wasn’t now, but he could work with that. He could make things right.
“Look, I—“ Aelin ran a hand through her hair as she considered her words. “You were an ass. I was too. I’m still bummed that was how things went out, but we have to get our shit together for the kid, right? I don’t want to be one of those parents who can’t decide on anything without a judge.”
His eyebrows raised. Aelin said some shit about not letting him see the child, but he just assumed she was angry because of his outburst. Suing her for custody never crossed his mind.
“I’m sure we can work things out without lawyers.”
The way Aelin’s shoulders dropped was so visible he wondered how much she tortured herself with this insanity. One more proof that she didn’t seem to know him at all.
“And I’m sorry I didn’t tell you about Dorian,” she continued when Rowan was too stunned to answer, “I—“
“Look, Aelin, you don’t need to apologize. I don’t care about that anymore,” He lied. But he’d get there sometime. ”I think we should focus on the baby from now on.”
“Okay.” She slowly nodded, processing his words. “I agree.”
“That’s why we should get married.”
It was their best option. Right now, Rowan had his hand and an unborn kid he would see, in the best-case scenario, half of their life. By marrying Aelin, he would have great sex and frequent contact with his kid. Ideally, a marriage needs love. Well, Rowan definitely wasn’t in love with Aelin, but marrying her was all a man could ask for. Objectively. Under his circumstances, at least.
“Absolutely not!” Aelin blurted. Then paused for a beat, blinking with her mouth ajar. “Rowan, we’ve known each other for only a few months. Why would you think that?” She asked in a quieter tone this time, but her eyes were still widened, staring at him.
“I-“ Rowan crossed his arms and stared at the wall beside him for a second. He swallowed. “I don’t wanna be a part-time dad,” he croaked out.
Aelin’s eyes immediately softened, and she reached out to squeeze his hand.
“We can figure this out in a more… modern way. But that’s very chivalrous of you.” She had a small smile on. “Considering how we started.”
“Okay.” He sighed. “I guess we’ll do things the modern way.”
“It’s not like you actually wanted to marry me.” She snorted.
“Yeah, sure.”
Well, Rowan didn’t know what to add. He was ten days without his phone or laptop to research anything baby-related, which was driving him insane, so the only plan he made was the one about Aelin.
“So we’re finally on the same page about this?” She asked after a moment of silence.
Putting everything that happened aside so they could focus on the baby. They could do that.
˜˜
“What brings you here today?”
Maisie.
The desk sign read Dr. Yrene Towers, PhD, but the only person he could think of while reading it was Maisie.
Aelin looked at him. He didn’t say a thing. She cleared her throat.
“Hey, Yrene.” Aelin said in a small voice, and Rowan frowned at the usage of the doctor’s first name. Maybe they knew each other from Elide, or this is just how therapy goes. He shook it off as Aelin continued, “Our daughter has been making these drawings.”
The therapist took the phone and zoomed in the images of the same drawings Maisie’s teacher showed them.
“You do seem angry in these.”
“I know. And I don’t think my daughter has been doing me justice. I look a lot cuter in real life.” Aelin pasted on a smile and leaned back in the chair, but Rowan immediately recognized her false bravado.
“That sounds like a job for an art teacher.” Dr. Towers sent them an empathetic smile. “What can I help you two with?”
“We need to stop fighting,” Rowan blurted. He didn’t even want to be here, but since he was, he wanted to get this over with.
“Okay…” the therapist nodded and quickly typed something on her computer. “So you’re telling me you live in a high-conflict co-parenting situation, and want to stop fighting because of your daughter?”
They both confirmed.
“I think it’s great that you’re seeking therapy for that, and it really shows how much you care about your little girl, but I can’t make you stop fighting.” Rowan’s stomach dropped. He knew therapy would be fruitless. Dr. Towers continued, “What I can do instead is help you treat each other with kindness and respect even when you disagree on something.”
“That’s perfect.” Aelin nodded.
Rowan didn’t feel so sure.
Basically, the doctor had just told them they had no salvation. They’d fight to the day they die, it would just be less ugly. Rowan sighed. Well, he did promise Aelin he’d try her way of fixing things.
“I can work with that,” he offered when both women were looking at him.
“Now, why don’t you tell me a little about yourselves?”
The therapist wanted to know all problematic parts of their relationship, right? Rowan assumed he should be honest.
“I guess it all started when Aelin lied to me.”
“Excuse me?”
“Are you going to deny that?” Rowan sighed, hating that they were wasting time reminiscing things from five, six years ago instead of solving their current issues.
“I have nothing to deny, because I didn’t lie.”
“Okaaay!” Dr. Towers interrupted. “I usually start with the communication techniques after the introductions are made, but I think we can use them now.” She turned to him. “Rowan… can I call you Rowan? Mr. Whitethorn? Captain?”
“Rowan’s fine.”
“Okay, Rowan.” She gave him an encouraging smile. “Can you tell Aelin your version of what happened, but without adding your interpretation or blaming her? Just the raw string of events.”
He did as he was told, explaining how she hid her relationship from that night at Aviator’s Ball to the pregnancy reveal. Aelin didn’t object.
“You did that step great,” Yrene praised. “Now, how did that make you feel?”
“Like shit.”
“Well, that’s a valid response, but-” The therapist fumbled about in a drawer, but quickly took out a thick sheet of paper. “Can you try finding one emotion here that matches how you felt?”
The paper she gave him had Emotion Wheel written, and had so many feelings in so many colors, it almost made him dizzy. Rowan took his time to find one.
“I guess I felt… frustrated.” Rowan set his jaw. They agreed to do this feelings thing, so fuck it. “Jealous, too.”
Rowan couldn’t decipher the look in Aelin’s face, so he focused on the therapist.
“Thank you for sharing that,” Yrene encouraged. “Now the last step of this communication tool is to identify your needs and communicate them—“
“I’m sorry.” Aelin was fully turned to him, eyes earnest. “I was sure you wouldn’t sleep with me if you knew. Still am, actually. That’s why I didn’t tell you, and then things snowballed. But I didn’t mean to make you feel like shit.”
Rowan nodded, hoping he wasn’t blushing. Yes, he accepted doing therapy, but he hoped he wouldn’t need to talk about his sex life to a stranger.
After that, they stumbled through the past five years of their lives, disagreeing only a few times because they were doing that thing where they talked objectively. He didn’t know how many therapy sessions would take if Yrene wanted to disclose their feelings at each event, and Rowan hoped she wouldn’t try that.
Even if it was in polished, sugar coated words, forcing themselves to speak out loud every mistake they made was enough. Rowan didn’t want to delve into how he felt about that as well.
“Okay…” Yrene trailed while she worked on her notes. Rowan had never seen someone type so fast on a computer. “Another thing I like to do in the first session is to set goals.” Her gaze swept between the two of them. “Apart from improving communication skills, is there anything else you’d like to work on?”
“Healthy boundaries.”
Aelin’s reply was way too fast for his liking. Of course she’d request that.
“How do you feel about that, Rowan?” The therapist asked.
“I don’t think that’s necessary.” He looked deep into Aelin’s smoldering eyes, defiant blue and green clashing together.
“Well, of course you don’t, Rowan. I don’t call you six times a day to check if you’ve managed to kill our daughter yet.”
He gripped his armchair a little too tightly. Of course Aelin would get a simple thing and twist until he looked like the bad guy.
“Aelin, listen to me—“
“No, you listen to me!” Despite her words, Aelin turned to their therapist. “You know how I feel about his calls!”
“But does he?” Yrene asked.
“You talk to her about me?” Rowan interrupted.
Aelin laughed, but it didn’t sound joyful at all.
“You have no idea the amount of shit I take from you, do you?” She paused for a second, the gold in her eyes ready to burn him. “Yes, Rowan, I do talk about you to my therapist. I talk about you so much I’m almost sending you the fucking bill!”
“You take shit from me?”
“Yes! And I still manage to respect you as a parent, unlike—“
“Unlike what? When did I ever—“
“You don’t even try to hide that you think I’m a shit mother!” She shouted with all the strength in her lungs.
Rowan froze, completely speechless by Aelin’s last sentence.
He had never even hinted that she’s a bad mother. Because he doesn’t think that, in the first place.
Yrene cleared her throat. “I think we should all take a deep—“
“I dare you to tell me one time I made you think you’re a bad mother,” he challenged, voice low and tight.
“Oh, you want it in chronological order? Or ranked by the one who hurt the most?” Aelin sneered. “Because this very morning you called to remind me to brush Maisie’s teeth. I mean, I must be a terrible mother if you feel the need to do that.”
“Oh, you’re hurt?” Rowan sneered. “You want to talk to me about being hurt? This is all your fault! I never, ever wanted to co-parent Maisie. You forced me to do this, and it’s fucking torture! If I have to go through this, the very least you could do is answer your phone and tell me if Maisie is letting you brush her teeth!”
“Okay!” Yrene cut in before Aelin could escalate that. “Why don’t we take a few deep breaths? In through the nose… hold on…. now out through the mouth… okay, you’re doing great. Once again…”
They both followed the therapist’s breathing exercise. Rowan could feel the boiling in his blood diminish every long breath, but it was still a small relief to his anger.
“Now, Rowan.” Yrene focused her gaze on him. “It’s really good that you’re opening up, this office is always a safe space for you to do that. It’s common to have concerns about your co-parent’s parenting style, but there are healthier ways to—“
“That’s not the case.” Rowan suppressed a groan. When did the conversation even get here? “I trust Aelin. I wouldn’t let my daughter stay with her if I didn’t.”
“How reassuring.”
Rowan ground his teeth together, trying to not let Aelin’s snark affect him.
“I just feel better if I know what’s going on.”
”Do you mind talking a little more about that, Rowan?” Yrene’s face looked open, understanding.
Rowan sagged in his chair for a moment, trying to collect his thoughts. The therapist looked like she already knew where he was going. Maybe she has mischievous, defiant little girls at home too.
“I always wake up thinking about Maisie.” He turned to Aelin, his voice was a lot calmer this time. ”And today I wondered if the cereal you gave her for breakfast is that one she loves that’s worse than sugar cubes. Then I wondered how you’re handling her teeth situation because she doesn’t like brushing her own teeth, but she needs to learn.” Rowan closed his eyes, ran a hand through his head and sighed. “Then I wondered if she had a tantrum, if you brushed her teeth for her, if she agreed to brush it herself. If she didn’t brush her teeth, will any of her classmates bully her for having bad breath? How would the teacher handle that?“
Rowan eyed the two women carefully studying him. Isn’t this obvious? This is how every parent’s mind works.
“So I decided to ask how brushing teeth went, otherwise next thing I know, I’m messing up my student’s reps because I’m pondering how many cavities I can afford to treat.”
Their therapist was nodding as she typed something on her computer. Aelin was looking so weirdly at him. It was a rare look, the one she wore now. It wasn’t anger, but didn’t look like pity as well. It made him want to take it all back.
“It seems like you’re constantly concerned over your kid.” He nodded, agreeing with the therapist. It isn’t a bad thing, it’s just a side effect of caring. She continued, “I think you’d benefit a lot from individual sessions, Rowan.”
“I’ll think about that.”
Yrene seemed satisfied with his answer, and he wondered if she knew he wouldn’t think about that. The amount of therapy he was currently getting was more than enough. In fact, he already felt drained from so much emotion talk. But then something clicked, and it made Rowan question his therapist’s methods even further.
“How come I’m the only one who needs more therapy? What about Aelin?”
The two women exchanged a look, and Aelin looked like she wanted the earth to swallow her whole. She took a deep breath and turned to him.
“I’m already doing individual sessions,” Aelin said as quietly as her cheeks were red.
Rowan froze for a moment with his mouth ajar, letting the words sink in.
“You’re in therapy!?”
“Well, it seems like you’re in it too!” She snapped, her index finger pointing around the office in a circle.
“No, this is different.” His mouth opened and closed. He still couldn’t believe Aelin hid this from him. “You should’ve told me that! Why didn’t you tell me—“
“Because I report to you about Maisie, not myself!”
“Still! Since when do you do therapy? What’s wrong with you?”
Yrene opened her mouth, but Rowan beat her to it.
“Respectfully. I’m respectfully asking what’s wrong with you.”
“There’s nothing wrong with me,” she spit out with crossed arms, but her burning red cheeks betrayed her stance. “I first started right after my parents died, then stopped. Started again in high school. I just start, stay until I get discharged, then come back when I feel like it. A lot of people do that, Rowan. It’s actually a good thing.”
Rowan didn’t say a word, he just stared, hoping he wasn’t gaping too much, trying to grasp all this new information.
Aelin is in therapy.
He didn’t even know she was struggling.
She had to be, right? No matter how she played it down, people don’t seek a therapist just because. Especially with how much it costs.
Was he the least attentive, sloppiest co-parent in the world?
Rowan tried to remember the last time he asked Aelin how she was before demanding something about Maisie, but nothing came to mind.
Perhaps that’s why she hates him so much.
Aelin and Rowan stayed there, just staring at each other, a mix of emotion floating between their eyes. Yrene cleared her throat when silence stretched for too long.
“Our time’s almost up. I think there’s a lot of space for progress here, if you’re willing to give it a try.”
If their session made the doctor feel positive, Rowan didn’t want to know what kind of shit that woman sees on a daily basis.
“We are.” Aelin’s answer came fast. Rowan nodded in confirmation.
“Very good.” Yrene gave them a small smile. “From now on, when you interact between sessions, I want you to try communicating how you feel about things, especially the ones you disagree with. And taking a pause before reacting if you feel like shouting, that’s an important one. Can you give it a try?”
They both agreed.
Do the feelings thing. Pause when he gets pissed off. It’d be an adjustment, but if other people could do it, Rowan was capable as well.
“Good.” Yrene typed something and focused back on them. “Do you mind if I give you one more homework?”
“Sure…” Rowan trailed, realizing that therapy was starting to look a lot harder than just attending weekly sessions.
“I think it’ll be good for you two to have quality time together.”
“What.” Was the only thing that came out of Aelin’s mouth. Rowan was stiff as a board.
Their proximity was the whole reason they ended up here. Spending more time with each other sounds like another disaster waiting to happen.
“You see, having fun together is like a savings account in a family. When something bad happens, it softens the blow. It’ll also be good for Maisie, so she can see her parents getting along.”
“How much quality time are we talking about?” Aelin asked, frowning.
“Could be as little as one hour a week. But it’s important that you try and be kind to each other, even it feels forced, so we can start new patterns.”
Rowan chewed the inside of his cheek, mulling this.
By spending time together, they could practice these communication skills. They could also change the narrative in Maisie’s head, making her think her parents get along even though they don’t. It was actually genius. No wonder Dr. Towers has a PhD.
“We can do that.” Rowan could barely believe his own words, but that’s how desperate he was.
When his gaze swept toward Aelin, she looked as determined as he felt.
Wish me luck besties!! leave likes reblogs and comments much appreciated loves!!
*DO NOT REPOST ANYWHERE*
- You sighed for what felt like the hundredth time in the last ten minutes,”come on Frankie! Hurry up or we’re going to be late.” Frankie and you had been invited to a get together by Pope. You would think Frankie would be the one down in the living room telling you to hurry with him being in the military, but nope he wasn’t.
Frankie is known for always making y’all late to everything, so Pope would understand. Pulling your phone out to kill time knowing Frankie would probably be down in five minutes or more. Who knows with him? You were so focused on the game you were playing that you didn’t hear his footsteps as Frankie walked down the stairs.
He called your name but he got no response, so he walked into the living room to see you slumped on the couch grumply playing on your phone. He smiled sweetly at your grumpy state then walked up behind the couch and slowly wrapped his arms around your shoulders. Also putting his head between your head and shoulder leaving feathery kisses on your neck. He heard you sigh into the kisses, but instead of going further; you pushed him away and turned your head towards him and gave him a look.
“Frankie we can’t. We are already late as it is.” He pouted but it stopped and turned into a smile after you lightly kissed his lips before getting off the couch. He checked you out as you walked over to the key rack, you could feel his eyes on your body as you were grabbing the keys and your wallet. You raised your hand behind your back and flipped him off. Frankie scoffed and giggled at your antics. His eyes followed you as you walked out the door and soon he followed behind you.
Opening the door to the door to your car Frankie sighed “Baby… I can drive. It’s safer.” You looked at him and gave him a look that meant ‘shut up and leave me alone’ then he put his hands up in surrender getting into the car. You slowly got into the car and started it but before taking it out of park you turned your head towards Frankie “I’m okay. Driving isn’t going to hurt us, Panchito. You need to stop being overprotective. I’m a big girl.”
He went to argue and you cut him off by putting your hand on his mouth and raised your eyebrows daring him to say something. His shoulders slouched in defeat “I know, mi amor. I just want you both to be okay,” he said, reaching to rub his hand over your pregnant belly. He leaned over the middle console and kissed your forehead. ”Come on, let's go. We’re going to be late,” he said after pulling away. You scoffed and lightly hit his shoulder, the only reaction you got was his giggles that flowed out of his mouth effortlessly. His giggles continued as you pulled out of the driveway. - Arriving at Pope’s house, you could hear the happy screaming of children from the back yard. Frankie looked over to you with a smile as both walked towards the back gate. He wrapped his arm around your shoulders as you walked into the back yard. Pope heard the close and looked up “Hermano!” Pope yelled, walking over to give his war buddy a hug. They act like they haven’t seen each other in weeks, in reality they saw each other yesterday when he brought Marisol to spend the night with Pope’s little girl.
You walked away more like waddled away from them letting them enjoy their little bromance moment. Pope would hug you when they got done talking, like always. Finding an empty seat to rest your pregnant body, you heard “mam” and felt a force being out around your stomach. You looked down to see Marisol smiling up at you. “Hola, mi vida,” you said to your smiling child, “ Your pops is over there talking to Uncle P if you want to say hi, baby.”
After saying that her head popped up from its spot looking to where her dad was standing. She booked into a run before knocking herself into his legs. Frankie felt the weight on his legs and he looked down to see his little girl. He quickly picked her up and twirled her around. This caused Marisol to go into a fit of giggles and those giggles were followed by Pope’s and Frankie’s hearty laughs. After the giggles subsided, the two men went back to talking like normal. - Eventually the two men came over to where you were sitting. Pope came over to you and brought you into a tight hug, “Hey, little sister. How’s Panchito number two doing?” Pope asked. You looked up at your childhood friend smiling at his antics. “You’re hugging me too tight Santiago. The baby and I are perfectly fine.” He cheekily looked at you and slowly went to put his hand on your growing stomach. At the instant touch the baby started to kick causing Santiago’s smile to grow wider.
Frankie saw the smile on Pope’s face and it reminded him the first time he felt Marisol kick. The joy that spread through his face as he giggled at the new feeling. He knew that Pope and his wife were trying to have another kid but they were having a few problems. Frankie knew that you being pregnant brought some sense of comfort to them. He watched you gleefully with Santiago and his wife, his smile growing wider by the second. He looked over to where his daughter’s laughter could be heard throughout the yard as she was playing with her grandpa. The laughter and chaos of the people he called his family enlightened his world full of bright sunshine.
Babysitting Luna (Andrew DeLuca x Alex Karev’s Sister)
Age Rating: 12+
Chapters: One of Five
Fandom: Grey’s Anatomy
Ship: Andrew DeLuca x Amber Karev (Alex Karev’s Sister)
AN: I know you guys love the pregnancy storyline so I decided to explore it more. I want to show when Amber and Andrew decided to get pregnant and why. The next three chapters will be posted daily so watch out for updates in my blog. Like and reblog below.
Summary: Andrew and Amber babysit their niece, Luna, while Alex and Jo leave for a weeklong vacation.
Words: 1243
January 10th, 2022
“Are you sure you baby proofed the sharp corners?” Amber asks anxiously from the guest bedroom that she is cleaning for their niece, Luna Karev.
Her brother, Alex and his wife Jo have spent the past three months planning for a weeklong vacation to St. Kitts for just the two of them. Their usual babysitter canceled at the last minute because of a family emergency in California. The couple almost called off the trip until Amber offered for her and Andrew to babysit Luna instead at their house. When they said yes Amber went straight into get ready mode so the house can accommodate their 20-month-old niece.
Andrew comes in carrying the large animal plushies and setting them on the bed, “Yes, I did, and I put everything else that would scratch Luna in our closet. I got Jazz to swear to be good to Luna and if he isn’t, I will have his nuts clipped.”
Jazz is their 3-legged pitbull/labrador mix that Andrew rescued in 2020 when he and Amber broke up. Since then, he has been acknowledged as their little fur baby.
Amber raises an eyebrow, “Didn’t we just get him fixed?”
“It doesn’t mean we can’t make our point across.” Andrew grabs the leash for Jazz, “And I got enough toys for Luna to open our own daycare.”
Amber nods in approval, “Good because it’s her first time staying with us for this long and we want her to feel comfortable. Toys are the number one bribes for one-year olds. I filled the fridge and pantry will all of her favorites.” Amber observes the queen size bed she set up, “Should we have sprung for a crib? Or maybe a bed for her size? I feel like it’s too high. What if she gets up in the middle of the night and falls off the bed? Alex will never forgive me.”
Andrew rubs her arms to calm her, “If you’re worried about her falling off the bed we can co sleep with her in our room instead. I think I will notice if she tries to climb over her uncle’s sleeping body. We’ll be fine, she’ll be fine it’s not like your brother is leaving her with the Manson’s.”
“I know and I know it was my idea to babysit her but that was before the realization hit me. I am gonna be responsible for another human being. I am gonna be the one whose care determines if this child lives or not. I don’t know how parents do this it is terrifying!”
“Then it’s a good thing you have someone by your side to share the anxiety with so he can calm you down.” Andrew caresses her cheek that calms her slightly, “We’re both doctors, I grew up with 16 cousins who were all babies, so I know my way around them. You’re a fantastic aunt not to mention training to be a peds surgeon so toddlers already like you and your niece loves you. It’s a week we can take care of her and not irreparably damage her for one week.”
Amber nods, “Okay it’s one week, what can happen?”
The doorbell rings and the couple freeze as the time has come for them to babysit. Amber inhales and exhales deeply before moving to the door with her husband behind her. She opens the door to find Alex and Jo on the other side of the door wearing comfortable clothes for the flight tonight. They see Luna in Alex’s arms looking comfortable. The couples greet each other warmly before allowing them to enter the house.
“Okay so the plugs are baby proofed so are the sharp corners of the furniture and the latches are installed in the kitchen cabinets. You can see our handiwork if you want.” Amber allows them to walk around the various baby toys laid out on the floor, “Yeah we wanted her to feel comfortable here since she’s gonna be away from you guys for a week, so we got her a few toys.”
Alex chuckles carrying Luna and walking around the toys carefully, “A few? It looks like a toy store threw up in here. I really hope you guys kept the receipts.”
“I did.” Andrew says, “With the inflation and everything, my wife and I are on a different budget.”
Jo groans, “This makes me wish I got into politics.” Jo hands the baby bag to Amber, “Okay everything you need to know about taking care of her is inside that bag. There’s binders, her favorite formula, and organic baby wipes. If you run out just go to Target and they carry them. Don’t give her normal wipes they give her a rash, plant-based wipes please.”
“Organic baby wipes only got it.” Amber slings the bag over her shoulder and smiles at Luna who is looking peaceful in Alex’s arms, “Hi little moon, are you excited to hang out with your Auntie Amber and Uncle Andrew? I know I am!”
Alex chuckles before handing the baby to Andrew who carefully handles her, “Okay she’s been really trying but she’s not fully potty trained so be prepared. We left you potty training instructions and bedtime instructions. If you need anything give us a call.”
Jo looks at the couple with worried eyes, “Seriously you guys don’t be afraid to call, I picked an airline with Wi-Fi for this specific reason.”
Andrew grins at Luna in his arms, “It won’t be necessary Luna bear is a number one fan of her Uncle Andrew.” Luna smiles wide at Andrew proving his point, “And whatever I can’t handle I know Amber can.”
Amber nods, “Yeah, we got this don’t worry guys she is in good hands I promise you have nothing to worry about I swear. Now go enjoy your vacation while Luna enjoys hers at Casa DeLuca.”
Jo and Alex look slightly relaxed, and Jo turns to Alex for support, “They got this, our daughter loves them and they love our daughter. And their both surgeons so they have more first aid training than most of the sitters we interviewed. We deserve a little break and she deserves to have fun with her extended family. Everything will be fine Jo.”
Jo inhales and exhales before turning to the sitters, “Call us the second something goes wrong I don’t care what time it is or what I am doing I will answer, got it?”
“Got it.” Andrew and Amber say in unison.
Jo grins, “Okay let’s go, bye Luna bear mommy and daddy are gonna miss you so much.” Jo kisses Luna in Andrew’s arms as does Alex and they begin to head out the door, “Take good care of your Uncle Andrew and Aunt Amber.”
“Bye little moon we miss you already.” Alex says as he practically pushes his wife out the door. Andrew waves Luna’s hand so she can wave goodbye to her parents who are out the door before closing it.
Amber turns to Andrew who is holding Luna in his arms. She smiles at the toddler who grins at her aunt causing Andrew to grin and bounce the baby in his arms.
“All right it’s just you and me and Amber now little dude, high five.” Andrew holds up his hand the Luna lightly touches, “Now blow it up.” Andrew mimics an explosion with his hand causing Amber to smile as they begin their weeklong journey with their niece.
No Doubt About It | T.K.
Summary: You tell Tom that you're pregnant right before Maverick's surprise party.
Pairing: Tom "Iceman" Kazansky x f!reader (no use of Y/N)
Content warnings: Pregnancy, talk of pregnancy, fluff
Word count: 797
“I don’t know, Carol. There’s something different about this detachment. Nick and Mav just got back and I know Tom’s got another two weeks, but I’m more worried about him than usual.”
“You’re pregnant. How long have you guys been trying?”
“We started this time a month ago. But you know that people don’t always get pregnant on the first try, so I don’t even know why that’s part of the question.”
“Take a pregnancy test. It’ll at least answer one of your questions.”
You wanted to wait for Tom to come home before you took the first pregnancy test. That wasn’t how things were going to go when you stayed up for most of the night wondering if you were pregnant or not. Carol had a point. You called her and Charlie over when you decided to take one of the tests.
Waiting was the most stressful part. You couldn’t sit still for the five minutes that it took for the results to come in. You almost jumped off of the couch when the timer went off. As you looked at the test in the bathroom, you realized that you couldn’t really see if there was a second line or not.
“Here, you’ve been pregnant. Tell me if you see two lines or not,” you said as you handed the test to Carol. She chuckled and turned on the main light in the living room to get a better view. She showed the test to Charlie and they both started giggling.
“What is it? Come on, I can’t wait,” you said.
“You’re pregnant,” Carol said.
“Yeah, you keep saying that but I don’t - oh.”
Two weeks went by in a blur. You had to swear Carol to secrecy on the whole thing. Charlie wouldn’t tell anyone, but if Carol told Nick, it wasn’t going to be long before all of Top Gun knew. You were able to pick Tom up in the late morning, which gave the two of you some time together before you had to put the final touches on the surprise party for Maverick. In everything that you did, it felt like there wasn’t a good time to tell him.
Both of you slept until late the next morning. Tom had decided to make a quick trip to the grocery store to get some food for breakfast and lunch. He was slightly confused when he came back to see you on the couch, laughing with Carol and Charlie.
“What’s all this about?” He asked.
“We’re trying to finish planning Mav’s surprise party on Saturday. Goose and Bradley are in the backyard,” you explained.
“I don’t want to go. I just wanted to spend the next few days with you before I gotta go back to work.”
“Yeah, well, you’re going because I’m going. I’m not drinking, either.”
“You’re gonna deal with Mav sober? I can barely handle Mav while I’m sober.”
You looked at Carol and Charlie before smiling.
“Well, someone’s gotta get you home and I’m pregnant.”
Tom’s jaw dropped and you laughed.
“Wait wait wait. Back up,” he said.
“Someone’s gotta get you home?” You asked.
“No, after that.”
“I’m pregnant,” you said. More laughter ensued as he asked you how you could’ve been pregnant. (“I’m pretty sure you were there.”) He walked over and gave you a hug. Words couldn’t describe how happy the two of you were in that moment.
Mav’s surprise party rolled around, and you had been the one in charge of bringing the cases of soda. Tom would barely let you lift a finger as the two of you got out of the car and he went for both cases of soda, leaving you to carry the gift.
“Babe, I’m barely eight weeks pregnant. I can carry the sodas,” you said.
“Yeah, but I don’t want you to.”
With the party in full swing, you stood with Tom and Slider. Tom had his arm around your waist while he was holding a bottle of water.
“Alright, man. We’ve got another surprise for you,” Goose told Mav.
“Uh, okay. What is it?”
“Ice and his girl.”
“Oh my God, did they break up? They look real chummy if they broke up. Why would you tell me that on my birthday?!”
“No, no, they didn’t break up. She’s pregnant.”
“Goose, that’s worse! We’re gonna have an Ice junior running around here in a couple months! Again, why are you delivering this news on my birthday of all days?”
Goose’s laugh distracted you from the conversation that you were having with Slider. You looked in his direction and saw a shocked look on Mav’s face, and you couldn’t help but let out a little chuckle at the situation.
“What is it?” Tom asked.
“I think Goose just told Mav.”
Oh, Baby!
a/n; hi hello! this came out nowhere! xx
synopsis; when you get accidentally pregnant your team comes through to help you through these trying times
pairings; the 141 x afab!reader (platonic) simon "ghost" riley x afab!reader (slightly less platonic)
warnings; pregnancy, religious trauma (only if you squint fr), slight angst
part 2 (coming soon)
"No..." I look down at the device in my hand. "No, no, no, NO! FUCK!" Tears burn in my eyes as I stare down at the positive pregnancy test.
I take my birth control every day. I wore a condom when I hooked up with that guy, but of course, that 0.01% had to come back to bite me.
I was in my room at the base. Someone would come to check on me at some point. I really didn't want anyone to, but I never got what I asked for.
Clearly.
The first person to check on me was Price.
The captain knocked on my door five minutes after I had finished screaming and crying my eyes out.
"Come in," I said weakly. My voice was hoarse, and I didn't trust myself to say more than a few words at a time.
The door opened and I looked towards him. "I'm sorry about the screaming."
He shakes his head, waves it off, and comes to sit next to me on the floor. I look over at him. "Are you going to be able to sit down here, old-timer? Won't your knees lock up?"
Price chuckles. "I think I'll manage, kid." We sit in silence for a few moments before he speaks up. "Do you want to talk about it?"
I shake my head. "There's nothing to talk about. I'm pregnant. I don't want to be. End of story."
Price nods slowly. "I get it. But you know, there are options..."I cut him off, "I can't have an abortion, Price."
Price gives me a sympathetic look. "Why not?"
"If my family found out...my mom, specifically. She's the most anti-abortion woman you'll ever meet..." I look over at him. "I'm alone in this."
Price puts a hand on my shoulder. "You're not alone. You have us. You have me. And we'll do whatever we can to support you."
I nod slowly, tears still streaming down my face. "Thank you, Price."
He gives me a small smile. "Of course, kid. That's what family is for." We sit in silence for a few more minutes before he stands up. "I'll let you get some rest. But if you need anything, anything at all, you come find me, okay?"
I nod, grateful for his support. As he leaves, I can't help but feel a small glimmer of hope in the darkness surrounding me.
The next person to arrive was Johnny. He didn't bother knocking; he barged into my room and slammed the door roughly behind him. He plopped down on the floor next to me. It seemed he didn't even realize I was upset until he looked at me.
His eyebrows knit together. "Whoa...are you alright, dove?"
I just shake my head, unable to speak. Johnny puts a hand on my back and rubs it soothingly. "Whatever it is, we'll get through it together. I've got you, okay?"
I nod, grateful for his presence. He leans his head back against the wall, and we sit in silence for a few moments. "You wanna talk about it?" he finally asks.
I take a deep breath. "I'm pregnant."
Soap's eyes widen in surprise and then soften with understanding. "Oh...? That's... that's a lot."
"I don't know what to do," I admit, feeling lost.
Johnny shakes his head. "Yeah, me neither. I've never been pregnant."
I chuckle at his comment. "Yeah, I suppose you're not very helpful."
He nods. "Who's the daddy?"
"Some guy from the pub, I guess."
He thinks for a moment. "The one with the neck tattoo?"
"That's the one..."
"Didn't Ghost tell you not to go home with him?"
"Ghost tells me not to do a lot of things... I should probably start listening to him." I sigh.
Johnny rubs my back again. "We'll figure it out. We always do. But right now, you need to take care of yourself. You need to eat something and get some rest."
I nod, grateful for his care and concern. "Thanks, Soap."
"Of course, dove. That's what family is for," Johnny says. We sit in silence for a few more minutes before he stands up. "I'll leave you to it. But if you need anything, anything at all, come find me, okay?"
I nod, feeling a little bit better with Johnny by my side.
He finally leaves after a few minutes, and I'm not alone for long before Gaz walks in. I smile up at him. "Hi, Gaz."
"Hey sis..." he sits on the bed behind me. "Price told me."
I take a deep breath and nod, tears still streaming down my face. "Yeah, I'm pregnant."
Gaz looks at me sympathetically. "I'm sorry."
I lean my head back against the wall and close my eyes, feeling overwhelmed and scared. "I don't know what to do..."
Gaz puts a hand on my shoulder. "We'll figure it out together. We always do." I open my eyes and look at him, grateful for his support.
He gives me a small smile. "But for now, let's get you something to eat and make sure you're taking care of yourself."
"Why is everyone trying to feed me?" I look over at him.
Gaz raises an eyebrow. “Cause everyone likes food.”
I nod in agreement, looking down at the test in my hand.
Kyle looks up at the door before turning back to me. "Mess hall in 30."
I nod with a bit of confusion. When Kyle leaves the room, Ghost walks in and closes the door behind him. He sits down next to me. I look down, not ready to hear his disappointment.
"Hi, Simon..." I sniffle and refuse to make eye contact with him. He grabs me and wraps his arms around me, pulling me into a hug.
I bury my face into his chest and sob. "I'm so sorry," I whisper.
Ghost pulls back and looks at me. "Why are you apologizing?"
"I...I don't know. I just feel like I let you down, like I let everyone down."
Ghost strokes my hair and wipes away the tears on my cheeks. "You didn't let anyone down. Accidents happen. We'll figure this out."
He pulls me back into a hug and I let myself melt into his arms. "I'm scared," I admit.
"I know, love. But we'll get through this together. I promise."
I nod, feeling a little better with him holding me. "Thank you, Simon, for being here."
"Always." We sit in silence for a few more minutes before he stands up. "Are you hungry?"
I shake my head. "Everyone's trying to feed me. I'm not that hungry."
Ghost chuckles. "Well, we can't have you and the baby starving, can we?" He stands up and pulls me up with him. "Let's go get some food."
I sigh as he pulls me out of my room and into the mess hall.
