Looking over at the notes (and the puns he's been accumulating in them), the smile seem to be more evident. He was clearly enjoying the amount he's been getting, especially when some (like the purrtrait, which he found amusing) fit his sense of humor.

"... Your jokes... It reminds me of Cyno," he comments, writing down the recent one. "I was told that his puns are... not good, but I beg to differ."

Not to mention the explanation behind it...

"Perhaps I should offer you a joke or two in exchange, hm?" he jokes, but he was already preparing a warm goulash for you to eat. "Or would you like something else for... Making my day a bit brighter, traveler?"
