Last Thanksgiving food shots I swear! Our second vegan Turducken came out MUCH better than the first. I crowded the first one with too many veggies so the “skin” never got as crisp as it should have. Not this time! YUM! I forgot to take a shot of the pecan pie *after* I baked it, but it was delicious and pretty! Not as pretty as that purple sweet potato pie obvi, but what food is, really? I also made my cornbread stuffing-stuffed pumpkin which was great, if not slightly over done on top, and my favorite boozy cranberry sauce. Purple Sweet Potato pie! Chris just made them from tubers we bought at @mariposacoop and they are SO delicious! We plan to store some (tubers, not pie) in our basement in loose soil so we get slips to grow out this year. I wish I’d have taken a snap of the potato before I scooped out the purple insides. It was like, 8” Long!! 😂 Oh, well... This vegan purple sweet potato pie was SO GOOD!
