i wanted the breed to read more like a jack russell on steroids than a wolfhound & make a dog look mean and potentially dangerous without leaning on wolfy or mastiffy traits. big dog bred for war. she was part of the dragon slaying team

#so my thought process is like. we got a newborn baby and no mother left alive so we need to get milk from somewhere #baby mold spore gets put with the dog who just lost her pups. aww #but dog gets violently overprotective and they have to be separated #(in this scenario baby mold spore is being taken back to court by knights who think she'll make a cute pet for a princess)#so the dog gets kicked out of the travelling party and a squire is supposed to. send her over the rainbow bridge lets say #but she's so mean and he's a coward so he throws rocks until she backs off and then he runs. but what it means is that now we have a dog #not part of the travelling party. following it intently because she thinks her puppy has been kidnapped #and she makes a great mode of transport for anyone else who needs to follow that baby as well and can't ride a horse #dog knight story

My beautiful baby dog absolutely crushed the field trials this weekend and pulled TWO third places over some really competitive and experienced puppies! I'm so so so proud of how she ran this weekend and I'm so happy the judges saw the same potential in her that I do 💛💛

#dogblr #rory borealis #field dog chronicles #my face #bird dog training #this was our second field trial #lots of the same dogs!#this one had horseback judging! Rory's first experience with people on horseback!#we've worked on being chill around horses but never encountered people on horseback #she gave them one glance and then moved on without issue #our first run was with a friend she knows #it took her a few minutes to stop trying to play and get her head in the game #but she worked suuuuper hard and ran really well #our second run was with another baby puppy #and they both wanted to play so bad #after a few minutes the judges asked us to split up and the dogs got to work beautifully #for both runs she ranged appropriately ran fast and checked the terrain thoroughly #she was also SUPER responsive #took directions beautifully and recalled perfectly #it was extremely fun i couldnt ask for better puppy runs #we're done for the summer but will run again in september #ckc pointing dog field trial

Something I really enjoy about toy shows is selling plush toys in person! Online, it is pretty easy to sell plush from licensed, recognizable IPs like Sanrio, Disney, and so on, but difficult to sell stuffed animals that are just like . . . a tiger, a bunny, a puppy. Even if they're a high quality, beautiful plushie.

But in person it's a totally different story. Kids will instantly connect with a stuffed animal and sweep it into their arms, hugging it. Heck, not just kids, I've see teens and adults connect with stuffed toys like that too. We love to see it.

#toy shows #plushies #stuffed animals #stuffed toys #Goodwill Outlet is always INUNDATED with plushies #and I usually have to be selective #because my house is very small and plushies take up a lot of room compared to a PVC figurine #or a My Little Pony #but during 'toy show season' I can scoop up the big plush horses and tigers #the plushie puppy dogs and kittens #the purple sloth and the blue axolotyl #I am always delighted when a thrifted toy finds a new home especially a plush #anyway today I bought a 1950s(?) ugly-cute plush dog who is like 3 feet tall
