So I made a split au(basically what I call an au where it branches off and makes another AU) bace off the puppeteer au of @rorydrawsandwrites

The basic story plot Gangle gets taken down and now is trapped into a room until they deem her as safe, but Jax as he slowly heals he is not mentally okay, he can barely sleep because of nightmares of the whole ordeal, he's having hallucinations, and is scared everyday thinking one day she's going to break free and come back for him, and the others are just trying to help him even though some of them weren't friends with him before all of it,

Also Page is here because what's more sad than a brother trying to stay strong and happy in front of their little sibling but the facade is slowly breaking

Harlequin!Showtime fankid - Cade!

I may be sick but this was so worth it

So remember when I said on main that I badly wanted to draw a Harlequin AU Showtime fankid? Yeah, this is the lil' bugger.

His original name is Caddi, and Cade is a shorter nickname. He's the first Child Puppet in history, and he's often referred to as a "Miracle Star" for it. He's fierce like his mom, smart like his dad, and twice as mischievous as both his parents will ever be. His classification of a Puppet is a Harlequin.

He pretty much likes to bite everything in range: whether that be fingers, heads, objects, furniture, etc, a trait he definitely got from his mother's side. At a young age he's already showing feats of intelligence, being interested in his father's tinkered machineries (and sometimes even allowed to participate in them), despite not even being able to talk yet.

No one exactly knows how Caddi came to be: One day Pomni simply showed signs of being weakened to the point of being bedridden, constantly fuming and having more tendencies to bite or attack when shocked or approached, as well as having cravings out of nowhere.

Caine was concerned by her situation, and examined Pomni's condition. He then sensed that Pomni's die was housing TWO souls, a smaller, incomplete one that was accidentally eating away at her own to grow stronger. Caine then proceeded to extract the incomplete energy to save her life, and transferred it to a smaller die, to which he informs Pomni about the news. He then gives her the choice whether to let the die complete it's still undergoing process of life, or to obliterate the little, forming soul.

Pomni chose the former.

The Puppetmaster then spent many sun and moons of trial and error to figure out how the little die wanted it's form to turn out, until one day he realized this wasn't his theory of Pomni's soul splitting apart to create a newer being: Somehow, he had a hand in it's creation and he doesn't fully know why, or how it even came to be in the first place.

So taking a brave risk, he came up with a design that combined both him and Pomni's features, into a smaller, compact puppet.

The little soul accepted this new form, twinkling brightly like a star in the sky, and was officially born.

He may be a handful at times, but gosh darn does his parents love him regardless.

Between Hell, Hazbin Hotel AU

Hell was split into two dominions, war between two realms continues for centuries. Sinners was sent to different realms according to their contract and allegiance

In this AU,

“Sinners” are Lucifer’s people

“Puppets” are Lilith’s soldiers /people

“Hazbin” are those who gain free will and no longer under Lilith control

Lilith granted mind control power to one of her champion; Vox to hypnotised and mindcontroll lucifer people through TV. Lucifer managed to pass through Vox network and crashed him head-on

Alastor (not a radio demon in this AU), another Lilith champion are her strongest soldier. He's been building his strength to prove his worth to lilith and kill lucifer.

You started genshin at first to get closer to your teenage children who had started playing this game called genshin impact. You were already a gamer so you decided to give it a go, downloading it on your PC that you usually use for work and booting it up.

Pretty soon you got to the sumeru quest line and a certain indigo haired puppet caught your eye. His attitude reminded you of your first love which caused you to sob, a little bitter at the memories of what happened between you and your first love.

You learned that he was once called kunikizushi and that scaramouche or wanderer now, had a very sad backstory. You got a bit thirsty and bored so you stood up from your PC to grab a bit of booze. As you staggered out of your office to grab some drinks, wanderer who was talking in the game paused and looked directly at the screen.

"Tch...this is an important part of my lore." He grumbled making nahida giggle. He glared at her before crossing his arms and just impatiently waiting for you to come back. Tapping his foot on the ingame ground until the door to your office opened again and he went back to the position he was in before.

You took a sip of your beverage before you sat down in your chair. Humming as you clicked the auto play as you continued to listen to the dialogue. You couldn't wait to talk about the archon quest with your children. You took another sip before leaning your chin against the palm of your hand.

"Come back to the banner, I wanna get you so I can name you stinkytoots." You rumbled bored of all the dialogue. It took every ounce of restraint not to react to that, still having to put up the act that he wasn't aware of the videogame.

Eventually you fell asleep from boredom. Your arms crossed and laying on the table while your head rested up on them. Some drool out of the corner of your mouth meaning you were deeply asleep. Wanderer stopped talking when he noticed you were asleep. He tapped his foot on the ingame ground trying to think of something before he sighed and reached a hand through the screen and moved your drink away from you in case you moved around in your sleep and spilt it.

He sighed and looked at you. Reaching his whole upper torso out of the screen and watching you sleep, not in a creepy way but in a 'whag am I going to do with you' kind of way. Nahida giggled again, of course the goddess of wisdom knew she was also just in a video game but she preferred to watch scara hopelessly try to interact with you.

"mm... stinkytoots...your crit rate sucks..." You mumbled in your sleep as you repositioned your head on your arms. Wanderer let out a huff of disgust at the nickname. He wanted you to think much more of him than....'stinky toots'...

Yes, he wanted you to think of him much more than reminding you of your first love, a bastard that left you when you were in need of them the most. He wanted to be your only love, since you were his he thought it was only right. He reached a hand and touched the end of your hair.

"you need a haircut, I could see your split ends from in-game." He hummed, a cruel smirk on his face as he insulted you but he meant none of it. He placed a kiss on your head before going back into the screen. He figured it would be safer to watch you from inside in case you wake up.

He wasn't ready to actually talk to you yet.

Hi! The brain rot for this AU is still going strong and I have another question. So, we know that Nightmare and Dream don't really get along now, but was there ever a time when they did? How would they have acted with each other when they were younger/before the curse?

they were incredibly close when they were younger! they did everything together up until they were young adults. as their ideas for how they would rule the Seasonal Court started to differ, and the factions of courtiers’ manipulations increased, they started to drift apart. they began to disagree on many things but still got along for the most part, though tensions ran high and they began to argue often.

when Nightmare realised just how far the courtiers were going to maintain their power, even planning to use Dream and himself as puppet rulers, is when things came to a head. Dream didn’t take Nightmare’s concerns seriously, only seeing the courtiers as the fae that raised them and looking out for their best interests. he couldn’t yet see how far the courtiers had influenced his thinking and even his relationship with his brother.

this resulted in Nightmare trying to claim his half of the previous Queen’s power (by eating an fruit of her tree) and prove that he could be a capable king on his own… to disastrous results. only the true ruler(s) of the Court could claim her power, and as he wasn’t a crowned king yet he was afflicted with a curse, and Dream accidentally shot both him and the tree with an arrow. this is when the conflict really escalated.

Dream had badly hurt his brother and split the tree in twain, symbolising the rift in their relationship and also splitting the Court’s magic; in the coming years eventually the magic would settle as Summer and Winter. Nightmare left with those fae loyal to him, killing or banishing the courtiers closest to him and leaving to settling in the castle furthest from the Seasonal Court as he could— this would eventually become the Winter Castle.

by the time Dream realised the extent of the courtiers’ manipulation and outcast them, it was too late. Nightmare asserted himself as a king in need of a kingdom and established harsh borders. unable to compromise with him, Dream was similarly crowned king and the war began. it took centuries of fighting over territory and resources before a truce was established, and centuries still for tensions to calm and peace to reign.

now there is casual movement across borders, Summer/Spring fae living peacefully in Winter/Autumn and vice versa, and even some tourism. every 5 years there’s a big party to celebrate the peace; the Courts alternate between who hosts, with the fae of the other travelling and staying in the host court for weeks of revelry.

Dream and Nightmare’s relationship never really recovered. they’ll be vaguely civil with each other during events and send letters back and forth every so often to keep each other updated on important matters, but they haven’t been friends since that arrow was fired. still, sometimes Nightmare will find himself chuckling at a funny remark Dream makes during a gala, and it feels like maybe someday they can be brothers again.

bad ending au where magolor wins after he gets the crown

Each is named after a piece in chess. They go in order of strength and which they fell victim to Magolor.

Pawn is the weakest, being Bandana Dee. He was killed first by Magolor reflecting his spear back at him.

Dedede was next. Upon seeing how Magolor was targeting Meta Knight, he tried to protect him. Dying to protect his partner in battle.

Meta Knight soon succumbed to his injuries after one more fatal blow.

Kirby stood the longest. And almost succeeded in destroying Magolor and therefore the crown. But he was ultimately defeated.

King stands guard, being quick and on his feet. His battle partner is the Knight. The Knight does fatal attacks such as lasers and just large explosions like crash. It is slow, and cannot do much. So the King covers for it as it charges.

Pawn is the most conscious. Being able to talk and aware of his situation. Pawn knows you have to defeat it and awaits you to destroy it. Even so he has no choice but to fight you.

King can talk enough to send remarks and call out to Knight. But the Knight is absolutely just a tool.

King and Knight can use the abilities Grand Hammer and Ultra Sword respectively. Their other attacks include King splitting himself to reveal a gaping mouth in his stomach, and the Knight creating bursts of beams. More so like Void Termina's when it summons the crown. (It is why Knights design takes the general shape of the crowns design)

Rook is the strongest. Right before the Queen. The crown brutalized the puff ball into a hollow shell of itself, while the remainder of Magolor seems to favor it.

The Rook cannot talk at all. It has no memories of what it is and who anyone is.

The Rook can pull any form of copy ability out from it's mouth. It won't be exact how Kirby used it, being in a twisted unprecedented manner. But it is reminiscent of the ability. It has a few extras, where they take on the shape of the crystal shard gun.

The Rook hovers usually like a puppet strung up.

Magolor isn't.. Happy with himself. But that's okay since he isn't exactly in control anymore, is he.

Death Watch Jango and Sith Concubine Obi Wan Au

Also known as another au i can’t be bothered writing but would love to read

So instead of Jango being found by Jaster, Death Watch manage to catch up to him while the True Mandalorians go in guns blazing and rescue Arla.

Jango and Arla are kind of role swapped with Jango as Tor’s adoptive son, favourite assassin and all round punching bag.

Arla on the other hand is adopted by Jaster and believes her little brother burnt to death in the fields of their own family farm. This and the murder of her parents leads to serious anger issues that lead on to a level of violence that puts her slightly at odds with the true Mandalorians. This isn’t to say they hate each other though, she still considers Jaster her father and jaster consider her his daughter. Arla does eventually end up splitting ways with them going off to find her own way in the galaxy.

This world’s Obi wan never escaped Bandomeer and ended up sold further into slavery until Darth Plagueis finds and buys him for Sheev ( i dont think the timeline works out but oh well, wibbly wobbly timey wimey).

Plagueis predicts that Palpatine and Obi wan will be the Chosen one’s parents. (The force actually meant parental figures but sith have never been very good listeners). Obi Wan as a stewjoni is able to get pregnant but has only had miscarriages and still births much to Palpatine’s endless frustration. Eventually he decides Plagueis must have been mocking him and this is only reinforced when he finds a small slave boy named Anakin with the force presence of twin suns. He decides this boy must be the true chosen one and makes him his apprentice. He does not realise how close his concubine and Apprentice become other the years until it’s too late. Anakin does still consider Palpatine a fatherly figure to him but in an an even more twisted way than canon while Obi wan is still his BrotherDad figure.

Obi Wan and Jango meet when they’re both about 18 or 19, after Tor teams up with Palpatine (or more accurately gets himself manipulated into becoming Palpatine’s puppet). Obi wan is used by Palpatine to keep any eye on his Mandalore project which is quite frustrating to him as it means being seperated from anakin.

The boys end up forming a strange sort of bond when realising how badly treated the other his. Its not until Jango is handed the prototype for a clone army made in his image under sith/mandalorian control that he decides enough is enough. In the dead of night he steals the prototype, who he names Boba, from the Kaminoan labs and knocks Obi Wan out and steals him too.

Jango decides that he’s going to stop the cloning project before he has an army of enslaved ade on his hands, maybe kill Tor and then run off into the sunset with Obi Wan and their new child.

Obi Wan’s reaction is along the lines of ‘wtf, your going to get us both killed’ but as the concept of freedom comes closer and closer he agrees on the condition they figure out how to steal Anakin too, difficult because Obi Wan doesn’t actually know what facility they are usually held in.

With a plan now prepared the two set out to conquer evil and live out their happy ever after on some tropical paradise far away from the mandalorians or Sith.

However they what they don’t realise is that be some will of the force the first planet they land on they accidentally bump into a Jedi shadow. Maybe its Tholme or Feemor or someone completely unknown but they are pretty quick to notice Obi Wan looks a lot like the Initiate that disappeared a few year ago become of Yoda’s (however well intended) meddling. This sparks a Jedi manhunt to find this lost soul who they believe has been enslaved by a Mandalorian.

Jaster and the True Mandalorians are running around the galaxy trying to get more info on this army that Tor is apparently building. Arla is reunited with them and agrees to help out.

And …. Thats all I’ve got for now.

I have to ask about Simon in the monster au. Did he die in the cartel? Is there some humanity in him or is it like a split in ghosts head. Does Price feel bad about digging up a random solider and having his body as a puppet (ooft that’s some angst everyone hates and mistrusts ghosts but this random solider who suffered and died doesn’t get to know peace and is hated by these people he’s never met)

Simon was dead for a couple days before Price stumbled across him. His soul was long gone, meaning Simon himself was no longer present. Price purposely picked a body that was fresh enough for Ghost to inhabit but also without a soul lingering. Price does feel guilty for what he did to Simon’s body. He never personally knew the man but he used his body for a demon to take root in the mortal world. Simon is dead, Simon is gone, but Price felt as though he violated him.

Ghost never says anything about Simon, whether or not if there was a piece of his soul that remained and honestly Price doesn’t want to know. He wouldn’t be able to live with himself if Simon had stayed, if Simon was hurting as they fought. Who’s to say that Ghost didn’t consume what part of Simon remained? Price sleeps better at night simply not knowing.

ok hear me out: AU where all the smash fighters not explicitly killed in the World of Light opening cutscene somehow survive and have to take on their post-apocalyptic world together

a comprehensive list on which smash fighters died in Galeem's initial attack:

the "not seen killed but there IS a body" tier is for characters who we don't see vaporized by galeem's light but are clearly visible in the scene with all the puppet fighters. I tried my best but that scene is REALLY dark with the only visible light being the glowing eyes so if you can point to a puppet fighter and say "that's X, you can tell because of their Y" I'll take them off the survivor tier

making this tierlist made me realize how few characters we see actually killed. not shulk? not fox? not THE MARIO BROTHERS??? (obviously mario is the one who we see puppeted but we never see his actual death and that surprised me)

and if we count the DLC fighters and Kirby that's a total of 52 survivors of Galeem's attack and that's a lot so to make it more bite-sized i split them up into groups like how you see people group up in zombie movies. they're also grouped by theme!

Have some lore for them, too! Beware my severe bias towards a few groups.

"The Survivor" - Kirby! Survived Galeem's initial attack by temporarily warping to a different dimension.

"The Littles" - Bowser Jr, the Ice Climbers, Little Mac, Pichu, Olimar and Alph, Ness, Lucas, Isabelle, and Meta Knight. These fighters are all children or physically small in some way. They all attempted to use the rocks and mountain faces as cover against the initial attack, but lost their footing and fell off the cliff as Galeem's rays destroyed it. Little Mac caught Pichu and tried to shield her with his own body as they fell.

Olimar and Alph were saved by their Winged Pikmin, Meta Knight saved himself with his wings, Isabelle caught herself with the balloons from her Up Special, and Bowser Jr. used the propeller of his Koopa Clown Car. Olimar and Alph caught Popo and Nana, Lucas grabbed Bowser Jr. with Rope Snake, Meta Knight caught Ness, and Isabelle caught Mac (and Pichu by extension).

By the time they had reached the bottom of the valley, Galeem was so distracted with trying to annihilate Kirby that he didn't notice that The Littles were still alive. They survived the universe-consuming blast by hiding out in a cave, since that blast seemingly did not affect the terrain.

"The Nobles" - Peach, Daisy, Chrom, King Dedede, Ganondorf, Corrin, King K. Rool, Lucina, Roy, and Marth. These fighters are all royalty or have noble blood flowing through their veins.

"The Perserverers" - Cloud, Ike, Ken, Simon, Richter, Ryu, Robin, Luigi, the Miis, Wario, and Shulk. Okay I'll be honest there's no theme with this one. I originally wanted Incineroar in this group and the theme to be they all had jobs that had to do with kicking people's asses but then there was Luigi and Wario and all the other guys and I just threw the theme out the window lol.

"The Non-Humans" - Incineroar, Wolf, Dark Samus, Yoshi, R.O.B, Pac-Man, Ridley, Donkey Kong, and Mr. Game & Watch. These fighters are all non-human. Game & Watch and Pac-Man survived by simply being too Flat but I'm unsure how the others would have escaped.

"The Newcomers" - Piranha Plant, Joker, Hero, Banjo and Kazooie, Terry, Byleth, Min-Min, Steve, Sephiroth, Pyra and Mythra, Kazuya, and Sora. These fighters are the DLC characters. Survived Galeem's initial attack by virtue of being in a different dimension when it happened. Pulled through time and space to the World of Light, they band together to find a way back to their home dimensions (although for some, this team-up happened very begrudgingly).

I don't know much about some of these franchises, so I'm welcome to suggestions to help me develop this AU! Seriously I am on my hands and knees BEGGING for suggestions because so far the only group that is developed is The Littles 😭

This takes place right before Jax was saved

I can't remember the last time Gangle let me go or remember being conscious at least. I remember I kept telling myself that I was just saving energy for...something?... fight back?....I can't remember why I was telling myself that?...I remember was a need, a need for what thought? whatever was fueling that determination is gone or I forgot what it was. Thinking about it....I can't remember much in this state, I can't remember the people I pass by in this state, I feel like I should know them but things are coming up blank. Maybe it's an unknown sideffect.

I was just there as Gangle was doing her thing. I can see what she is doing sometimes but most of the time my Brain feels empty. I know we are in the rooms hallway but this time I started noticing something, a jester girl comforting a small paper dog girl......paper?.....paper...Page?- I remember now! Page was a friend, a good friend, almost like a little sister to me She was scared and nervous all the time before I took her under my wing when she was just a kid and needed someone to keep an eye on her she was just a kid, she needed me....she still needs me...That's why I was telling myself that I couldn't leave her like this, but I don't think I can even fight back now....the jester looks at me or I think it was me. She yells something that I can't process. Then I started to feel myself being pulled away from something then I blacked out.

When I woke up I was in a bed staring up at the ceiling...wait this is my ceiling, this is my room! My body feels weird like the feeling of being in water all day. I turned my head and saw people sitting on my floor, wait..the others, kinger, Ragatha, Pomni, Page, and Zooble- wow I thought they didn't care. Page noticed I was up and ran up to my bed and hugged me, it was a little awkward since I was laying down and she was thin as paper but I sat up and hugged her back, it felt comforting to hold my sister again. I noticed Ragtha was close to us like she was going to pull Page away but was too late, I unknowingly pulled Page closer into the hug like if Ragatha was a threat to Page probably shock and brother intuition getting mixed together in a mess. I managed to have the strength to speak up finally.

"what happened?" "Pomni set up a plan to distract you and Gangle so we could remove her from you"

I was kinda shocked by that, I didn't know she could have planned something that would work, but I started to have more questions.

"how long was I like that?" "almost 11 months Jax..."

I felt my stomach drop. That long?....that long under Gangle's-wait where she is, I started to panic and Ragatha noticed.

"where is she??" "She is somewhere where she won't hurt you or anyone else again, calm down you're safe"

I know she isn't telling me everything at the moment probably because Page is here, but hearing that helps me feel better. I'm okay I feel tears welling up in my eyes, but not out of sadness or feel it was relief.

Ever since I brought up the scraps, I’ve been toying with a Scrap AU for Misfits in Toyland. Here’s just a rough idea of what that would be like.

Eleanor: An ascended scrap (basically a physical god and the highest stage of scrap) formed from a porcelain doll and the soul of an abusive mother who was pushed down the stairs by her stepdaughter. Ruling her own little territory up north (under the watchful eye of another ascended scrap named Krampus Klaws), she acts as a mentor to the scraps under her watch. Having become an Odin-like figure, she’s capable of using her loose eye as spy, turning it into a spider-like creature that can crawl around anywhere and let her see anything (otherwise, she keeps the side of her face where the eye used to be bandaged).

Jen: An enlightened scrap (middle stage of scrap development) formed from a Betty Spaghetty doll and the soul of a troubled woman who committed suicide. She serves as Krampus Klaws’ eyes and ears, though she is in a relationship with Paula. Possesses a spider-like Frenzy Form (a monstrous form scraps can take), something like Mommy Longlegs from Poppy Playtime.

Dolly: Similar to her canon form, except she’s actually formed from a rag doll and the souls of both Dolores and Sue after they were gunned down by a mobster that Dolores robbed from. Suffers from a split personality, going from a sweet, motherly mindset, to the mentality of a mobster.

Charlie: Similar to his canon self, but his body is more sinuous and snake-like, extending indefinitely from his box. Can take on Frenzy Form resembling the Jack-in-the box monster from the Krampus movie.

Gabe: Resembles a kid wearing a rabbit costume, with a hat resembling a plush rabbit’s head. Still has a love for technology, filling his home with a hoard of stolen tech he tinkers with.

Tammy: A lot less melancholic than her canon counterpart, she resembles a dog girl with pixelated pupils and a tamagotchi hanging from her collar (though the tamagotchi is her actual self, the dog girl just a puppet body she can create to carry herself around). She has a close friendship with Mel (as well as romantic feelings towards her).

As for Maria, Paula, and Mel, there really isn’t much to say about them. They’re more or less the same as they are in canon, except their human selves are dead (Maria slipping and hitting her head on a counter, Mel getting in a car accident, and Paula being stabbed by a coworker that he forced himself on).

I think Boy Gender might have saved Sora Takenouchi (I'm projecting, this post was made by a man dot jpeg, etc).

So yeah- I'm rotating a trans Sora AU. And it's teaching me the difference between AU, meta, and headcanon. Like it seems obvious but the lines have blurred over the years. And it's so magical and freeing to say "this is an AU and it's my playground". That said, there are meta elements in this post. So I tagged it as such. But it's mostly AU.

I say this bullshit because Sora's entire arc in Adventure is about reconciling with her mother and her femininity. That's how her story was always intended to be written. Her job in the epilogue is the final culmination of that. I can see how all of that was intended to work. Even if I don't personally like it.

But there's like. Such fertile ground for this AU. How accepting that feminine role drove Sora further and further into the background, away from her friends. And into a state so depressingly finalized that her Digivice spawned a timer, separating her from Biyomon. And how she worked best with everyone else when in a "take charge" role- albeit as "team mom", but refusing to sit on the sidelines based on gender.

There's also how Biyomon's evolutions get progressively masculine, and Biyomon is part of Sora's soul. Like I don't know how Phoenixmon fits into that. But look at this-

The instant Biyomon reaches her Champion form, she takes on a less traditionally feminine shape. And Garudamon is more masculine than feminine in build. Plus- and I only researched this for five seconds so I could be wrong- "Garuda," is also a male Hindu deity (and also a shape shifter and protector- just like a Digimon partner!). In tri, Birdramon has more pronounced eyelashes, the same way Minnie Mouse has eyelashes to denote her gender. But other than that...

Also this gives me the opportunity to mess around with Crests and how they work. Like, even in this AU, Sora would have the Crest of Love. I feel like its nature as compassion and caring will always be relevant to the character. But like. Wouldn't it be cool if the Crests themselves evolved? Like if the design changed with new revelations as the characters aged? Still the same in color and concept, but representing a more mature person.

For most of the Adventure crew, this would be standard character development stuff. For Sora? Gender.

I'd plant the seeds in Adventure, going more into detail as to what Sora's mother represents- traditional femininity- and how that wouldn't be merely annoying, but wrong. Like puppet strings that wind around the neck. I don't think Sora would have the words for that sensation yet. But the wrongness would be there. Even through forgiveness. And meeting halfway.

But in 02, Sora would realize where those feelings come from. Why the soccer pitch feels like home, and the flower shop a cage. I need more details but it's 4 AM and this is a general outline. But basically...

The 02 gang would get in trouble (after the ability to Digivice to Ultimate/Mega is restored to the OG gang). Only Sora could save them, due to being the only one available to go on the field. The enemy? A fuckton of Blossomon. For the symbolism. But mainly, there's too many for the 02 characters to handle, and they're split in a configuration where Jogress to Imperialdramon is impossible. Basically, a situation engineered so only Sora can resolve it.

Garudamon fights her hardest. But the numbers are too intense even for her. A Blossomon wraps its vines around Garudamon, trapping her. And to Sora, that vine on her partner's neck just seems so familiar.

Blossomon spits generic villain taunts about knowing one's place. This prompts Sora to peel back the layers of her own life. She thought her place was at her mother's flower shop. That's what forgiveness meant, right? But reconciliation is a two way street. She gave and gave and received nothing.

Not for the ache in her heart.

Not for the wrongness in her body.

Not for the vines choking her life.

And digging into her own neglected heart, she'd discover the soul of a man. It would be frightening and confusing. But it would also hold the strength she needs to win this battle.

That he needs to protect everyone.

And the Crest of Love within him would glow. Its shape would become less feminine, but still represent the love that Sora possesses. Like hands holding, or a stylized stone- the rock the others can rely on.

And of course Garudamon would digivolve- into Phoenixmon or something else- and save the day. Leaving Sora confused and shaken. He might even try to deny what happened. But the Crests never lie, and their power does not come from nothing.

So by tri., he'd be more masc-presenting (excluding school uniforms) as his mother falters. But Sora would hold out hope. And continue to love. So by Kizuna, he's met halfway at last, and can openly live as who he was always meant to be.

I do like the idea of Crest evolution in general and might revisit it. But for now this is loose word-vomit and more of wish fulfillment than anything substantial.

Just had the sleep-deprived idea of combining my Cryptid Batfam Au with @phoenixcatch7 's Possessed Doll Au into a combo au, some distant timeline where the two combine and meld into one thing.

Honestly would be slightly body horror probably, maybe with Bruce starting with building wings and then it... escalates. There's a reason that people don't go down in the caves under Gotham, and Bruce is incredibly lucky that It welcomes him. Perhaps welcomes him too much, what with it seeming to build him another body each time he gets injured, even if it's just bruising. Not to mention that another is forming when he takes Dick in, and then another when Barbara joins them.

There's something not quite the same the first time he wakes up in a body that is his but not, something organic but not. Testing on it is fine, small tests that is, anything larger and his head starts to pound and ring. It's easier to just accept the shadows' gifts than question it.

Honestly I like to think the body is something between inorganic and organic, like veins of flesh and fur wrapped around bones and metal. Like a flesh puppet of sorts, starts all skeletal and mostly metal and wood but the veins of black and red start to grow over time as the whispers about the Bat spread.

Honestly I also like to think it's more animalistic than the original possessed doll au, the wood easily mistaken for things like chitin, especially with the segmentations. Combine the chest cavity with the harness that the kids cling to, and you have a back cavity lol. The 'Spine' seemingly splitting open to hide things inside. Bruce probably does have clothing for the body, but I wanted to figure out the general body first lol.
