UMUMUMUM!! can we please get some general fluff headcannons for the puppeteer and a GN!reader ? i totally understand if you cant or dont want to/gen

General Headcannons for Puppeteer x reader!

oooo been a hot minute since ive been asked to do a solo post for the puppeteer ! yipee! going to try to knock this one out since ive got something baking in the oven eheheheheh!

definitely a teaser... if youre the type to get flustered or embarrassed easily i think hes going to exploit that- not exactly in a malicious way, he just thinks its adorable how you get all red and stumble all over your words

honestly whenever i think of romantic headcannons for him i tend to think of him like a spoiled cat, like yeah sure he knows hes all that and he knows youre going to keep dumping affection into them and hes probably going to get pouty if you retract that for a moment; if that makes sense

which does make me wonder, should i grant him the silly hc of being able to purr? or perhaps, maybe he chirps and clacks? his limbs are kind of wooden, or at least give off the illusion of it.. maybe they rattle a bit in a mocking attempt of a purr? shrugs, ive always been a fan of characters like that rattling to show being flustered or happy

definitely hovers and looks over your shoulder, probably leans/looks over your should while youre working on things... if youre working on something and look to be a little stumped i think he might actually offer some pretty solid criticism and/or ideas... he looks like he would be into artsy stuff... or maybe thats just because he looks like he would be because of how the admin draws him... admin makes him look like a fruity depressed art student who drinks black coffee and smokes between classes

getting back on track, he doesnt sleep, so he tends to wander around your house during the night while youre sleeping.. usually opts to watch over you while you sleep... might wake you up if you seem to be having a nightmare but will likely play it off as him just needing something from you... him? being soft and caring about your health? pshhh,...... but please drink this water, you look a little thirsty

definitely more of a shower than a speaker in terms of showing he cares about you, has a little bit of an ego, you know?

good at sewing and stitching, you never have to deal with your clothes having rips or holes ever again because hes going to be patching them up without you even having to ask; just dont tease him about it,,,! he might just stop doing it for a while out of vague embarrassment

cant take what he dishes out; he constantly lightly makes fun of you for a bunch of stuff in order to get you flustered, but the second the tables turn hes going to be shuffling away and hovering off out of sight

★ Wally stares at you for an uncomfortably long time before saying "I like your eyes" with a smile. If the googly eyes wobble when you move, he comments on it. Telling you "They dance when you walk."

Julie

★ She takes one look at you and lights up. "OH MY GOSH, YOU’RE SO CUTE!" To spruce up your look, she covers you with stickers. Finally giving you the makeover you've been yearning for.

Howdy

★ He respects the minimalism but offers you something to wear from his shop "Maybe a little hat? A bow tie? Something to spruce up your look, pal!" Somehow, he has everything in your size.

Frank

★ Julie introduced the two of you. From the beginning he had questions. "This… is a joke, right?" Frank deadpans, squinting at you. Apparently, it wasn't, because that just made you mad. Give it time, he'll warm up to you.

Poppy

★ Poppy worries about your lack of stuffing, felt, stitches and size. Anyone could trip over you, even her! And what if someone mistook you for a regular sock? Oh dear. Now she's spiraling.

Barnaby

★ Barnaby loves you instantly. Seeing your googly eyes and barely attached hands as hilarious. "Hey, if it works, it works!" he muses while patting you on the head. Congratulations, your Barnaby approved. That means you're officially part of the neighborhood.

Eddie

★ He tries to be extra careful around you, but other than that he treats you like every other neighbor. Making sure you feel included, even if your hands barely function. Speaking of hands, do you need him to lend you one? "It seems awfully hard for you to open envelops, mind if I help?"

Sally

★ She's offended with your small stature and simplistic appearance. "Oh my, what a sight! Are you familiar with mirrors?" How could someone so... crude, so utterly minimalistic, ever gain the attention of an audience?

My SAMS/LAES/EAPS HEADCANNONS

(Some of these are a bit old and have been sitting in my notes, so I may to provide some context for them. Also, yes, they’re slightly long. I know. I think about this show to much)

Sun’s eyes are damaged and his vision appears much dimmer ever since the “nightmare” with the creator, though he hasn’t told Moon because he hadn’t at first due to the suddenness and didn’t want Moon to think he was just hiding it, so he thought it was too late to tell him anyways

Nexus has an applejack plush (Bought it to match the Applejack sticker he has with Solar back when he was New Moon)

Dark Sun likes humming nursery rhymes that he still remembers from the daycare

Ruin’s arms kept their glowing function from his old body

Taurus was almost completely oblivious to Lunar and Gemini’s courtship, but when Gemini was upfront about it, he was supportive and willing to help however he could

Frank being in the new dimension was partially the reason for Eclipse’s nightmare of being stuck in Sun’s head again. After that, Francis snuck into Eclipse’s lab when he was asleep to stay near him and give him positive dreams

The Gemini twins sometimes give Lunar little space rocks as gifts

Eclipse commonly forgets he’s not a part of Moon anymore and sometimes accidentally refers to himself as “Moon” or responds to it. Early Eclipse accidentally went into Moon’s room often instead of Sun’s because he got confused when he was posing as Sun (still has the memories of being Moon)

Nexus never takes Solar’s old goggles off. In turn, Solar has a box of Nexus’s old stuff that Sun gave to him

Sun, Solar, Monty, and Earth play Dress to Impress together in their spare time

Sven made gifts for all of the Celestial family and is saving them until he can find a special occasion to give them to them all (Christmas, a birthday, etc.). He’s having trouble with the dates because of the time differences between dimensions

Nebula is a lesbian and doesn’t know it

Dazzle likes to make drawings for Sun, who’ll hang them on the fridge. One time, Sun wasn’t there and she showed it to Moon first instead. Moon loved the drawing, but instead of hanging it on the fridge, chose to take a magnet and stick it on Sun’s face as soon as Sun got home as a harmless prank

Jack really likes crows and to chase them around, but they run and fly away from him because he’s too erratic and he looks like a scarecrow

Jack was skeptical of Jack O’ Lanterns and pumpkin carving at first because he’s based off a pumpkin, but Lunar and Dazzle managed to convince him it’s fine. Dazzle and Jack tried to carve each other, though Jack chose to stalk Sun for the rest of the day since Dazzle also added Sun on hers

Eclipse is claustrophobic because of the memories of being in Sun’s head

While Earth and Eclipse were at Walmart buying their puzzle, Earth chose to show and name off all the flowers they had there to Eclipse

After the events of Earth’s BETRAYAL! in VRChat (clickbait title for anyone who didn’t yet watch it, I swear), Taurus began to become more comfortable with Earth. Earth took this opportunity to teach Taurus more of the English languages, including sign language

Dark Sun doesn’t get offended by people portraying him with a tooth gap like Sun does

Ruin likes humming or singing to himself while he works, which helps as a stress reliever or a coping mechanism. However, while working for Dark Sun and Nexus, he wasn’t been allowed to do that and was more stressed than ever, which is why he seems so much more stoic when he worked for Nâo than working for Nexus

Eclipse and Sun are both scared of the dark, but pretend not to be

Sun can’t look at flames without seeing Nexus’s death flash in front of his eyes

Sun’s fire magic acts up when he has a nightmare about Nexus and he sometimes wakes up with flames around him or his bedding burnt

The reason that Taurus was initially more mad at Lunar than Gemini when they found out about Lunar’s little deal with Rez is because Lunar’s situation almost felt like when Cetus betrayed them too, which meant reliving losing his best friend

Ruin wears silk clothes. Due to this, he’s constantly slipping off stuff when he leans against something or sits down

Sun has accidentally called Moon or any of his other brothers “bro bro” before because Nexus kept saying it in his dreams

Eclipse’s rays are damaged after his whole thing with the Thanksgiving episode (being turned into the Dorito bag. There’s no way he didn’t damage himself during that)

Sun/Sollux (from What if Moon NEVER EXISTED?! In VRChat) still watches the SAMS and misses Moon

Old Lunar drew pictures of him and Bloodmoon together. The pictures were destroyed in the explosion from Bloodmoon and Ruin Show 

Solar can sometimes catch glimpses of the dead ever since coming back from the dead himself. This is how he so easily contacted the ghost that pestered Sun and Moon

Eclipse V4 can’t remember the majority of the Eclipse and Lunar Show show, neither could V3, which is the reason he’s so different than V1 was.

Eclipse V2 still had the save files from Lunar’s alchemist game after Eclipse and Lunar Show. They were destroyed in the bunkers explosion 

Lord Eclipse and Moon both got distracted by Lord Eclipse twirling his Star around out of boredom when they first met

Eclipse and Lunar sometimes go back to rewatch Eclipse and Lunar Show episodes, separately trying to remember the good parts so they can get over their hatred of each other or thinking of what they could have done differently

The real reason that Moon is decommissioning his computer that predicts different outcomes is because of Solar catching him on that one What if him and Monty were dating video

Moon told Sun to ask Atlas was his favorite sandwich is so he could make it for him in return for getting them out of their little vacation fiasco and when Sun asked, Atlas was confused by the prospect of a sandwich. When Moon found out he’d never had one before, he made Atlas an entire stack of different kinds of sandwiches and sent them with Sun

Like howdy x Sally is so adorable and I just need more people talking about em.

Like

I picture Sally being extremely in denial of being in love with Howdy but says stuff like "duh! Of course I would kiss that handsome hunk of a bug!" Or like "honestly, If I had to make a list of the men in this neighborhood from the most attractive to least attractive, Howdy would be on the top of the list and the only one on the list." But she wouldn't acknowledge that she's down bad.

Howdy, on the other hand, would eventually turn into a flustered, nervous mess after falling for Sally. And that's saying something because he's one of the most confident ones in the neighborhood.

Dang....

I have said a great many deal of words on the Eclipse and Puppet Show theory thread in the TSBS discord. But there are two very highly important points that I brought up there that I think that are absolutely imperative that I share here on tumblr:

Eclipse is a great deal like like Batman apart from being very chill with murder.

Filipino!Dr. Sprat for no reason other than I think it's cool, and I'm Filipino, so I have a moral obligation to hit every character I like with the Filipino beam. Headcanons be upon ye now

This goes hand-in-hand with Filipino!Professor primarily so that Dr. Sprat can flex how much Tagalog he knows towards the Professor who was cursed with the "being forced to learn only English" beam.

He would really enjoy learning Tagalog and hit everyone around him with the "Tinuka ng pitong puting pato ang pitumpot-pitong puting puto" and also hit them with Tagalog words that literally no one uses anymore.

He would mock the Professor and Ryan in Tagalog, and the both of them would be fuming because they know he's insulting them, but they can't fire back.

He would bring a bunch of puto after shoots and would say, "You're this except the o is replaced with the a" and the Professor would look at him very confused, chewing halfway through the puto before it clicks, and he throws the puto on the floor out of sheer rage. Meanwhile Ryan got it immediately and was laughing the entire time.

HE WOULD LOVE OPM. HE WOULD BE SO ANNOYING ABOUT OTSO OTSO.

Julie, Sally, and Poppy have an all-girls slumber party every once-in-a-while. Sometimes they invite Wally

Wally and Barnaby have regular sleepovers too, usually in Home. They don't like to leave him out

Frank likes to infodump about butterflies to Wally. It's easy to infodump to him, since he doesn't talk much anyway

Wally can pick up weird bugs off the ground with his own hands because to him, "they're just tiny neighbors who live outside."

Wally's the one everyone goes to whenever they have a problem. Wally doesn't mind listening to them and giving them advise. But sometimes, Wally isn't having the best of days and can't listen to anyone. But he always has Barnaby to go to

Julie's most common stim is flapping her hands

Julie only owns dresses. She doesn't really own pants. She has to borrow from Sally

Sally loves romance novels. She'll usually read them when she's not directing

Wally loves talking about art. He'll mainly ramble on about shapes and perspectives, and the color theory, his most favorite to discuss.

Eddie Dear kisses Frank on the forehead to calm him down whenever he's angry. It always seems to help

Howdy is practicing juggling. you'd think it'd be easier with four arms but... not for Howdy

Barnaby is always trying to get Wally to try new foods, even some Wally doesn't think he'll like. It's not that Barnaby doesn't respect Wally's boundaries, he just wants him to at least try it

The neighbors celebrate Thanksgiving, but they call it something else (Feast Day I suppose?)

Poppy is always nervous for Feast Day because she usually makes desert. Since she's afraid of using kitchen appliances, desert making is usually a two person job, sometimes with Julie and sometimes with Sally

Wally loves Feast Day. He gets to make pumpkin pie for everyone. The problem is that Wally doesn't like stuffing (Julie's usual) cause of all the weird textures. He would still make himself eat it so he wouldn't look rude, even though he would be visibly uncomfortable eating it. Now every Feast Day, Julie makes two stuffing dishes. One for everyone else, and one for Wally, which is a bit more plain. It's currently Wally's favorite Feast Day dish.

Wally ate a flower in Frank's garden one time. It did not go well for either of them.

Julie and Frank like to gossip. Nothing too bad, they just talk about how extra bossy Sally was being or Barnaby telling another bad pun, etc.

Wally likes to put his paintings around the neighborhood, almost as if the buildings are fridges

Julie is afraid of ghosts. Frank usually has to be the one to tell her they're not real. "I bet they don't like to play games," Sally says.

Howdy has all of Wally's food preferences memorized, since Wally never really changes his opinion that much. Plus he likes his hot dogs plain

Eddie Dear and Wally bond over their love of arts and crafts. They sometimes get together and make stuff

Wally is usually the stagehand during Sally's plays. He sometimes plays a role, but he's much more comfortable pulling the curtain or moving the spotlights

Wally actually loves pulling pranks. Barnaby got him into them. Most of the time, Wally's pranks are just misplacing objects where the neighbors didn't leave them (he once hid Sally's script, and Frank's butterfly net). But sometimes he'll feel bad and tell them where their missing object is

Wally and Poppy are very good at sewing. Wally loves making sweaters for everyone when it gets cold. Poppy likes knitting scarves and sometimes crochets little messages (she has a "bless this mess" sign in her home)

Wally has a sensitive stomach and can't eat certain things. There's a correlation between autism and stomach problems, and Wally seems like the type to have them

Whenever they have meetings, they always have them in Home, so Home could also be apart of the discussions

Poppy loves having picnics. It's easier to make sandwiches because in her mind, nothing bad has ever happened to anyone who made a sandwich

Wally loves taking naps. He'll sleep for about an hour during the day everyday. if he doesn't get his nap, he gets so drowsy during the day. If he does this, you'd usually find him sleeping with his head leaning on Barnaby, giving up his long battle of not napping. He was once found facedown in Frank's garden. Frank, of course, was not pleased
