I saw Frank Turner on the Undefeated tour this weekend! It was an absolute banger of a show, even on a Friday at midnight after a looong week!

He played lots of new stuff, but lots of classics too. I moshed for the first time, which was really fun! My ponytail almost got ripped out a couple times bc everyone was so sweaty it kept sticking to people lmao 😳 and my legs were covered in beer and sticky at the end of the night.

So much fun! This was my third FT concert and hopefully there will be more to come!

i’m supposed to go to a noahfinnce concert in april, i have vip tix and everything, but i haven’t listened to his stuff since i stopped being friends with the person i shared his music with. i was supposed to go with them and i’m scared they’ll be there. i really can’t listen to his songs with ouch getting anxious lol!

i don’t really want to go anymore, but i also don’t want to let this person ruin my plans, because i was so excited to see noahfinnce again

Middle School: Biology Immune - Green Day live in concert

Went to my first concert last night, at an anarchist co op a half hour out of town. Five local and bay area punk bands, $10 cover. Good shit. Wore my jacket-in-progress and one of my punkish hats, no eyeliner or nothing cuz I found out about it through a friend on discord like fifteen minutes before we needed to leave.

The venue was really cool. Small space, little building full of anarchist and anticapitalist books with a drum kit and the coolest bathroom I've ever seen (full of trans-anarchist graffiti, narcan on the toilet tank). Table full of free zines out front.

Mosh pit was in the building, outside was just loud enough to listen and have a good time, which is what my group and I did as I didn't have time to find ear protection and the local mosh scene is a bit on the violent side.

Afterwards we went for pizza and wings before heading home. Had a great time.

if you’re looking for a cool new punk band to listen to, i highly recommend looking for local small bands before searching “punk” into spotify.

don’t know how to find them?

what i did is i looked up what some punk bars in my area, i started going on random nights and found bands i liked that way. (if you’re under 21, you can still look up the bars, but go to their instagram, see what bands are playing and see if they are on band camp, spotify, etc.)

this has worked amazing for me, i’ve made so many friends, it’s to the point where certain bands shows feel like monthly family reunions full of so much love and genuine compassion.

hope this helps anyone wanting to be more involved in the subculture

EDIT: if you live in a small town, just search the nearest big city. or honestly any city that you vibe with. every area has a slightly different sound and scene find what you blend with!!
