Hey hey, it's me again, I saw anon's question about what species of owl the boys could be, out of curiosity I decided to research owls with similar colors and came to share with you 💖
One detail is the price, which seems to fit the size and color. The rest are just colors that remind me of .
If he wasn't an owl, I would say that Simon could be a Brazilian harpy, they are huge, majestic and terrifying, indigenous reports say that they captured small children from the villages, and they have also found remains of monkeys in their nests.
Okay, okay, let's go owls (the names are in Latin so there are no problems with translation )
Price , Strix nebulosa
Tumblr media
Soap , Pulsatrix koeniswaldiana
Tumblr media
Ghost , Ciccaba huhula(first) or maybe Asio stygius (second)

Tumblr media
Gaz , Phodilus badius
Tumblr media
And finally our dear reader, Tyto furcata
Tumblr media
In order to curiosity Brazilian Harpy

Wait, I actually love this! Simon is absolutely an Asio Stygius!
This is Canon for sure! I really love these picks.
If anyone else has other ideas/wants to chime in, please feel free to share!

The spectacled owl is the type species of the genus Pulsatrix. Sometimes, it can capture prey weighing more than itself. Juvenile owls leave the nest weeks before they can fly, but depend on their parents for a year after fledging.
