Okay so as i mentioned it was Scooby Doo, except on this version we, the gang, were just actors, and we liked each other but had kind of fell apart so we were now getting back together.
I'll clarify now i think i was Daphne, even though I looked like myself. I believe this because she was the only one missing along with Velma, who I'm sure was my irl friend, and because throught the dream my dad sent me two random messages wailing about money and my PFP on that site was Daphne.
Back to the chronological events of the dream; i believe we had made a party for us, the gang, as a sort of anniversary celebration or something similar, but Fred was missing because he was working on a movie adaptation of our show. I was kind of annoyed he would miss the party but i was like, also happy.
Anyway i kind of fucked a girl on the basements? She tweeted me saying some fake slang like she wanted me to drop some weight on her so i did and then went back to my business. That was the most memorable part of the party.
In what felt like a blink of an eye, i was alone with my friend in the house, and we were being fucking HUNTED DOWN. During this bit lots of typical haunted house things happen; hallucinations, getting lost, losing the other person...
In fact i even remember this specific scene that played again and again with different characters but the exact scenario, where after a voice in my head told me I could leave but not look back i kept seeing a person trying to walk out an open door with their friend but either it's a fake door (in one I saw the whole gang just standing and laughing) or what's fake is the person we are with (in another we made it out but then i realized it wasn't my friend's hand i was holding), going as far as to try to design a plan to beat it.
In the end that was but filler, because the real threat we were facing was a woman who was trying to kill us. So we stood on the door, my friend on front me behind, and when we knew she was there bc the door had glass bits my friend opened the door and the gate outside the door (have y'all ever seen the design? It's common here) to pour a little dust she held in a vial she previously showed me.
Issue is it didn't work. The dust just hit her in the arm and the rest flew away. So the killer pulled my friend out from the half opened gate, leaving me freaking out.
At first i tried to grab the killer's arm to stop her but she was wrestling w my friend and she had a KNIFE and after all we went thru i wasn't gonna let her die so i used my brain and opened the gate with the already inserted key and i pulled away the killer from my friend (who had only gotten some minimal damage) and start pushing her around kind of fighting until i see the car from the house owner and push her head underneath it.
And y'all can imagine where this is going, right?
Well, turns out the driver was in the car? And so she went on reverse and i guess because there was a bump on the sidewalk the car bounced CRUSHING the killer's head, splattering my face with blood. I look at my friend to confirm she's alright and then walk to the driver who was already opening the door.
The woman was visibly confused and was asking what happened and if she hit something but i stopped from getting outside the car by being like "believe me, lady, you don't wanna see that". I then announced outloud i felt like i was in shock (i said going INTO shock but that's not what it was nor what i meant...) feeling my friend agreed upon so i zipped up my... Short sleeve turtleneck jacket betore complaining about feeling cold and hot at the same time.
This was followed right next by Shaggy coming back, and i know i barely mentioned him, but that's because Shaggy didn't spoke s WORD in the whole dream. Man just stood there shyly. Also he changed his style once from long with some facial hair, to medium, and finally to medium with a neck beard. I was actually surprised at the speed he could grow his beard back but this like expected didn't go anywhere.
We were just like "heyyy look who's here!! You don't know what you missed" but we were interrupted by Fred who came by with an old man. A red railway passed on top of my head and for some reason that made me think the movie was already being made, so followed by that, Fred announced to us he had convinced Kubrick, the very same old man next to him, to be the director of the movie. So i laughed and was like "oh typical Fred, going for what's safe! Always a bit of a coward".
He then kept talking but my friend decided to talk too so i was completely unable to understand what Fred was saying, instead only focusing on the things she was commenting on about losing weight climbing a bench with a stairset attached to eat and something about a fucking elephant mask??
Anyway and then woke up and was like Holy Shit. So i waited to get my thoughts straight without losing them and here i am.
Feel free to adapt this surreal version of Scooby Doo, just credit me 😎
I think new Scooby Doo adaptation should use the version i just dreamt of

#the report finally is submitted. and im just waiting for them to email back like#yeah sorry we accidentally gave u the wrong date. so u cant be included. but that would be fitting for the trouble weve had with the#organizers. also one of the ppl i submitted to is apparently out of the office and his automated response says hes sasquatch hunting#which is... very funny but also a weird thing to use on your work email#not sure if its serious or not#anyway. my team is v lucky that i am a responsible nutcase bc i spent basically all day on and off working on that fucking report#i put it above literally all things for the past 4 days. that mother fucker is 18 pages of sciencey bullshit#thank goodness for the 2 faculty ppl who wrote out some of the intro and methods and pointed out where things needed smoothing#i felt sick submitting it bc i hadnt done voice to speech so i didnt kno if any of it made sense but they both already approved so i guess#its fine. its good enough#also back to being responsible. my pi txted while i was in the lab that they were commenting and the other grad student was working on it#so i was like: oh! fantastic she can finish things off :-D#but that is not what she did. she edited some text and smoothing some things over but like she left all the suggestions and didnt actually#do the final touches and all. so its like 9.30pm and im like ok i guess im not done yet#so i spent the next hr fixing things properly. and its just so... it could have been so much better#if we had more time. i hate it. and the stats are all wibbly wobby and really should have been extensively checked by someone else#pulling this thing thru i felt like i was standing on the sidewalk with an open wound in my chest asking passersbys:#pls could u take a look at this report? no? okay. no thats fine. i kno ur busy#and again i cant even be mad bc i kno everyones busy. i mean i dont kno what the other grad student is doing#i assume she's busy but prob not as busy as the faculty members?#idk. it just really sucks.#realistically i probably did at least 70% of the work to get this done and in my gut i still dont feel like i did enough#and ill probably have to lead the discussion Thursday on the analysis of our results with the undergrads bc i prob kno the report the best#or maybe my pi will take pitty on me#idk im tried. i hated this project but i learned a lot abt working in a group as a leader and we might get to grow some microbes in the#moon regolith this fall. so its not all been for nothing#unrelated

More Than You Bargained For: The Party Timestamp
Tumblr media
Summary: Jensen’s not too excited to be going to a party with the reader but she ends up making his night in another way...
Masterlist
Pairing: Ex-Bodyguard!Jensen x reader
Word Count: 2,400ish
Warnings: language
“Do I have to go?” groaned Jensen. He stood by the bottom of the stairs with a pout on his face, Jared snickering from the hall. “Shut it, Padalecki or I’ll make you go as her date.”
“Sorry but you are officially on bodyguard duty, Mr. Ackles. I got a hot date myself tonight,” said Jared. You sighed as you stepped down the stairs, Jensen smiling up at you. “Would you look at that? She’s not the most horrifying thing I’ve ever seen.”
“Kiss my ass, Jared,” you said with a smile.
“You look very beautiful,” said Jared.
“Gen picked it out,” you said with a wink. “Speaking of which, get out of here on your romantic weekend away. We got it from here.”
“Alright, I’m gone,” he said. “Call me in an emergency.”
“Goodnight, Jared,” said Jensen.
“Have fun guys,” said Jared, heading down the hall and out the front door. You smiled as you stood on the last step, fixing Jensen’s bowtie, giggling when he started to cross his eyes.
“What are you doing?” you asked.
“Do I have to?” he whined again. “I’ll give you all the sex and brownies you want? You like both of those things.”
“I do like both those things a lot, but I need a date and my other husband wasn’t available,” you teased.
“Had to marry a fucking famous person didn’t I,” he sighed. “Spoiled brat.”
“Asshole bodyguard,” you said, leaning up as he came down for a kiss. “I won’t tell anyone you’re actually sweeter than molasses.”
“Only if I don’t let it slip that you’re the hardest working, most amazing and kind person I’ve ever met and that your favorite fancy store is Target,” he said.
“I fucking love the shit out of that store,” you said.
“I know. You were there for three hours on Sunday. Toothpaste. I asked for one tube of toothpaste. You came home with three shirts, two throw pillows, a cookbook and a coffee mug. Oh, and no toothpaste,” he said, flashing you a smile.
“I went back and got it,” you said with a laugh. “What’s up with you? You’re extra nervous tonight. This isn’t the first time you’ve ever gone with me to an event.”
“S’first time since I was gone…” he said, glancing down at his wrist, a faded thin scar over the top of it. “I’m not the bodyguard anymore. I’m your husband. Your previously kidnapped husband. There’s going to be attention on me whether I want it or not.”
“I know,” you said softly. “All you have to do is stand there, smile and get your picture taken for two seconds. Alex will get you out of there and into the party like that, I promise. We already went over it.”
“Who’s going to be with you then?” he said.
“Jensen. I’ll be fine on my own for a little while. You being comfortable is what’s important to me,” you said. “Plus you know I can kick ass, even in heels.”
“Alright,” he said. You finished with his tie, smoothing out his jacket before you stepped onto the ground and into your heels. “Ready?”
“As I’ll ever be,” you said. You walked with him to the front door, spinning around and holding up a finger.
“Forget something?” he asked.
“Yup,” you said, opening your clutch and pulling out a strip of fabric.
“Whatcha doin’?” he asked.
“Trust me?” you asked. He nodded and you tied it over his eyes, Jensen smiling when you finished. “All set?”
“Sure...what are you up to?” he teased.
“Covert mission. Like some special ops level stuff. Don’t worry about it,” you said, grabbing his hand.
“Oh, do you get to be my bodyguard? I think I like that game,” he said, chuckling as you pulled him outside. “Dammit. Part of me really wishes you were going to drag me upstairs and have your way with me.”
“Don’t you worry, I’ll be sure to do that later on,” you said, kissing his cheek.
“You better,” he said. You got him in the passenger seat before you were off down the road, spotting Jensen touching his face out of the corner of your eye.
“Leave it, Jensen,” you said. “Don’t ruin the surprise.”
“I don’t like not knowing where we’re going,” he said.
“We’re going to the party,” you said. “There’s going to be a surprise when we get there. Can you keep it on for me, please?”
“Mhm,” he said. When you were stopped at a light, you reached over and held his hand, Jensen humming to himself.
About fifteen minutes later you pulled into a parking spot, helping Jensen out as you saw his ears perk up.
“No, no. No bodyguard mode, just enjoy the surprise,” you said.
“Fine,” he grumbled. He let you hold his arm as you led him into a building and down a hall, his head unable to help but turn and try to figure it out. You put him at a stop outside the room, leaning up to give him a kiss. “Alright, I think I could get use to this if you keep that up.”
“Down boy,” you laughed. “Alright, alright. I know you’re getting antsy.”
You reached up and undid his blindfold, Jensen looking around.
“Snuck me in the back to the party?” he teased. “I thought you wanted to show off your smokin’ hot husband.”
“Oh? Now he’s cocky,” you said. “I figured you’d like this better.”
“A little. I knew what I was getting into though when I married you. I can be the center of attention a little bit for you,” he said.
“I’m glad,” you said, more than glad he just assumed you were at another event and not actually in the back of his favorite restaurant. “Let’s head on in then.”
You smiled as he held your hand and you went for the pair of double doors leading to the event room you’d rented out.
“Happy birthday!” he was greeted with the second you opened the doors. He opened his mouth a few times before he spun to look at you, shaking his head.
“I knew you were being sneaky!” he said, biting his bottom lip. “I should have known.”
“You have no idea how hard it is to plan a surprise birthday party for you,” you said. “And actually surprise you.”
“There was definitely some covert ops going on,” said Jared, Gen right by his side. “We had a little help though.”
Jensen turned and saw a group of guys heading for him, his face in a big smile.
“No way! I thought you guys were overseas and-“
“And when your little wifey got a hold of us, of course we came. Not like we missed the wedding or any of the other shit that’s happened since,” said Mark.
“Did you really get stabbed by a serial killer?” asked Jason.
“I’m more curious how that sweet girl took the freak down and saved Ackles’ ass,” said Lyle.
“Oh? Is that what everyone thinks happen?” asked Jensen, cocking his head at you.
“S’what I remember,” you said with a smile.
“Of course it is,” he teased.
“Go, catch up with your friends,” you said, pushing him towards his special ops buddies, some of his teacher friends joining in. “I know it’s been a while, honey.”
“Thanks, Y/N.”
“So...should I be expecting this elaborate of a birthday party for myself?” asked Alex after you’d left Jensen’s parents somewhere by the food table.
“I’ll buy ya a happy meal at the drive thru if you get me an extra week off work,” you said. He chuckled, smirking as you both watched Jensen on the other side of the room. “Do you think he was actually surprised?”
“I think throwing him a surprise party two months after his birthday certainly threw him off. Hard to surprise a guy like that,” said Alex.
“Think he’s noticed I’m not drinking yet?” you asked, giving Alex a shy smile.
“He probably thinks you’re just being a good DD. When you going to tell him?” he asked.
“When we get home,” you said. “Think you’re ready to be an Uncle?”
“Eh, I dealt with your whiney little butt and Jensen. How hard’s a baby?” he said.
“Still dealing with my whiney little butt,” you said, leaning back in your chair.
“You never whined,” he said after a moment. You turned your head, Alex not looking at you. “You were just...afraid. Of a lot. Then you were just lonely and you chose a career that’s extremely lonely and why do you think I came to be your manager? To watch your back.”
“Dad told me that once,” you said quietly. “We had a fight over something stupid, you and me. I think I called him to vent and he revealed to me that you just said one day you were going to finish your degree online and be my manager and that was it. He told me to remember that whenever you drove me nuts.”
“Like when I tricked you into a bodyguard?” he teased. “Bet you love that decision now.”
“It made me feel small again,” you said, his face finding yours. “Jensen sort of terrified me he was so...he had me memorize like a hundred rules. I couldn’t get any privacy, it felt like he was watching me all the time...but his job was to do those things, not because he or anyone else wanted to control me. He was just keeping me safe.”
“On the bright side, he’s like a ball of fluff under the hard shell,” he said.
“Ain’t so hard nowadays. Someone else was a little lonely too,” you said. Jensen gave you a wave as he walked over before curling his finger at you.
“Mind if I steal this one?” asked Jensen, holding out a hand for you.
“Nah. I got a fiancé to go find and harass myself,” said Alex.
“I taught him so well,” teased Jensen, pulling you to your feet and over toward a quiet corner. “I haven’t seen you much tonight, my buddies have been hogging me. Must be what it feels like to be you.”
“Jens,” you said.
“Walk with me?” he asked. You hummed and followed him outside, finding yourselves out on the sidewalk, his pace slow. “So...something you want to tell me?”
“Seriously? How do you always do that? I bet the freaking doctors office gave it away. I swore I told them not to tell dad anything until I-“
“Dad?” he said, stopping in his tracks. You went wide eyed, a smile creeping onto his face. “Are...am I going to be a dad?”
“I bought cute little boots and everything to surprise you when we got home,” you said with a nod, Jensen throwing his arms around you. “Yeah, you’re a dad. Even if I totally ruined my own surprise.”
“A baby…” he said, smiling at your stomach. “Okay, I will admit I was surprised by the party and suspected you were planning something else tonight but this one takes the cake. How long have you known?”
“I found out earlier this week. I thought I was working too hard and that’s why I was late and then I remembered what we did on your actual birthday and...you did say you had a good feeling on it after all,” you said.
“Baby,” he said, tentatively reaching his hand out, your own grabbing it and giggling as he rested it against your stomach. “We made a baby.”
“Yeah, we did,” you said. “Are you happy?”
“More than,” he said back, running his thumb over your dress. “It’s just funny is all.”
“What is?” you asked.
“This is going to be the scariest thing I’ve ever done in my life, which is saying something, but I can’t wait,” he said.
“You know I’m glad my brother hired a psychopath. Never would have found you,” you said.
“I can just hear you telling the story of how mom and dad met to this kid someday,” he laughed. “They’ll never believe it.”
“That’s a long ways away,” you said.
“Thank you, honey,” he said, pulling you into another hug. “I feel normal. You made me feel so normal again after everything that happened in my life.”
“Our lives are so not normal,” you said.
“Maybe they aren’t but you are and I am and we’re going to have a baby that has two good parents,” he said.
“Jensen?” you asked. He hummed, lightly spinning you around. “You want to go tell your family the good news?”
“In a minute. I want to remember this next time I have a not so great day,” he said.
“Okay, sweetie...Jens, there is another surprise actually,” you said, ducking your head down.
“What?” he asked, looking back but you turned his face to you.
“I had an ultrasound, it was eight weeks and all so…” you said.
“What is it?” he asked.
“Babies, Jensen. Babies,” you said. He tilted his head, looking down at your stomach.
“Bab...more than...two? Twins? We made…” he said.
“Twins,” you said with a smile. “I’m thinking one of each but it’s still early to be betting.”
“Two babies,” he said, shaking his head with a laugh.
“Actually triplets,” you said, his eyes wide. “I’m just messing with you. It’s twins.”
“You were two seconds away from me having a heart attack,” he said, taking a deep breath. “How the...screw it, we figured it out so far. We can do this too.”
“Well my brother knows but even he doesn’t know it’s twins if you want to one up everybody in there,” you said.
“Definitely,” he said, giving you a kiss. “Love you, princess.”
“Really?” you said, Jensen chuckling as he skirted away and you laughed, trying to throw your shoe at him. “Asshole! You know I hate that.”
“I love you too, princess!”

CHANGE MY MIND – B. JENNER

Tumblr media
warning(s): just some slight cursing
word count: 6,336 [obvi didn’t proof-read]
authors note: ok so this is actually the first thing i’ve managed to write since finishing ‘little do you know’ and i’ve had it stuffed down in my phone notes for the last two months. i’ve been really bored and trying to write but ugh, it’s been a slow process– but hopefully this is the beginning of my inspiration to write again! i swear whatever this turns out to be– it’ll be better than this, but here you guys go! here’s some boone jenner for your dash :)
"I'm not going," you huffed, twisting around in your vanity chair and glaring at your best friend. "No fucking way am I going."
"You can't back out, Y/N. You already promised you'd go." Bailee said, sitting up from her lying down position on your bed.
"Yeah, well that was when it was a double date with you and Josh." You closed your eyeshadow palette before misting your face with setting spray. "You know, two people who could ease the conversation flow since, oh I don't know, you're both mutual friends!"
"You're thinking too much into this," she rolled her eyes and took a deep breath, sighing before pushing herself off of the bed. "Have I ever led you astray before?"
"Actually, yes," you put the setting spray down before fully turning to face her with a sarcastic smile on your face. "Let's see, there was that time you convinced me to match with you every day in fifth grade. Tenth grade when you swore up and down that my shirt wasn't see-thru. Let's not forget the entirety of junior high when you told me that highlights and bangs were an amazing idea. And to finish it off, you're the one who introduced me to Dylan."
"Okay one, it didn't take much convincing considering we had most of the same clothes anyway and our moms thought it was cool. Two, it wasn't see-thru until Kyle Schwartz dumped his water on you and at least you were wearing a tank top," she held up a third finger, raising an eyebrow. "Three, are you forgetting my horrible teasing phase with the middle part? And last," she sighed, dropping her hand altogether. "Please...just trust me on this one? I mean, Dylan was great in the beginning, he just turned into an ass as he got older."
"You literally just proved my–"
"One date, that's all this is. I'm not asking you to marry the guy, Y/N. You don't have to be in a committed relationship by the end of the night, just," she sighed, digging her vibrating phone out of her back pocket. "Just give him a chance, okay? And if this does indeed bite you in the ass, then I'll do whatever you want for an entire weekend."
"Whatever I want?" You smiled, standing up from your chair.
"Yes, I'll be at your beck and call."
You grabbed your purse from your bed and hung it over your shoulder, giving her a smile before smoothing out your satin tank top and cardigan. "Do I look okay? I should wear a dress, shouldn't I? The jeans and this," you motioned at your entire outfit. "It's all too casual."
Bailee laughed and grabbed your hands, giving them a light squeeze. "Relax, Y/N. It's cold outside and you're only going to a coffee shop. Your outfit is perfect, the ankle boots are perfect and he'll definitely love the way the jeans accentuate your ass."
You scoffed, dropping her hands before walking by her and heading towards your bedroom door. Just as you walked out into the short hallway of your quaint 2-bedroom apartment, a knock came from the front door. You turned to Bailee and nodded your head towards the door at the end of the hall. "Can you get her? That's Madison."
"Are you kidding? She's the only reason why I came over!"
You rolled your eyes before walking down the hall and over to your front door, opening it and stepping aside. "Hi, Y/N, sorry I'm late." Madison smiled, walking in with her backpack over her shoulder. "Professor Downs wouldn't stop talking."
"Madison, you and I really have different definitions of late," you laughed, closing the door and walking over to the kitchen counter as she set her stuff on the kitchen table. "You're what I consider, painfully early."
"Well, I can't let you be late for your date tonight, can I?" She smiled, coming over to the counter and resting her elbows on in. "So? What's his name? Where are you going?"
"His name is if she doesn't order an Uber in the next 30 seconds, she won't beat traffic and she will be late," Bailee replied, appearing from the hallway. "And they're going to that cute cafe on third."
"Lava Java? I love that place!" Madison clapped, turning back to you. "You have to order one of their vanilla cinnamon rolls– OOH, or one of their chocolate croissants."
"Chocolate? Mommy, can you bring me one, please?"
The three of you turned to see your five-year-old daughter, Riley, standing there at the end of the hall still in her school clothes. You walked by Bailee and Madison and squatted down in front of Riley, smiling at her. "Of course! But if you have to be a good girl for Madison, okay?"
She nodded, a frown on her face as she rubbed the side of her face. You took in her tired appearance, noticing the slight pink on her flushed cheeks. She hadn't been sleeping well the last few nights, often sneaking into your bed around 5 am and taking it over, so maybe her lack of good night's sleep was starting to catch up with her.
"Do you want to help me with my homework, Riles?" Madison smiled, coming up next to you. "We can have some popsicles while we do it too!"
Riley's eyes went wide and she looked at you for permission. "Give me a good luck kiss and that popsicle is yours." You chuckled, opening your arms.
She ran into your arms, tucking her head into the crook of your neck and wrapping her arms around you as tight as she could. You hugged her tightly, always remembering to treasure the moments like this as you cupped the back of her head. She turned her head to you and kissed your cheek, then pulling away. You tucked her dark hair behind her head and smiled, kissing her on the forehead. "I love you munchkin."
"I love you too, Mommy." Riley smiled, turning to Bailee. "You too Auntie Bailee."
"I'll see you later, kiddo." Bailee smiled, turning to you. "And your Uber is here, by the way," she held up her phone, waving it at you before locking the screen. "Have fun tonight."
You laughed as she lead you both out of your apartment door. She wasted no time getting you out of your apartment building and down to the street where your Uber was waiting for you. You couldn't even get out a single word before she practically shoved you into the car and shut the door behind you, waving after you as the car pulled away from the complex.
Your foot was tapping against the floorboard of the car as your hands twiddled in your lap. You couldn't believe you had let Bailee and Josh talk you into doing this, especially since the two of them had bailed. You loved them, you truly did. But right now you wanted to do nothing more than run them over with a Zamboni.
You've known Bailee practically all of your life. The two of you were the only kids in your pre-school group to refuse to take a nap during nap time, resulting in the teacher having to call your parents and pick you up. From that day forward, the two of you were a power duo, best friends, blood sisters– whatever you wanted to call it. The two of you were inseparable and with each other through every stage of life.
She was there when you met Dylan.
You were there when she met Josh.
Two very important stages that marked the beginning for both of you, though many years apart. Just when you thought you were going to suck her down into the black hole that was beginning to be your life, she met Josh and suddenly, life didn't seem so doom and gloom.
Being the protective best friend, you weren't necessarily Josh's number one fan the first time that you met him. Especially when Bailee told you everything that she had learned about him that first night. Your guard immediately went up the moment she mentioned that he was a professional athlete. Everyone knew how that side of the world played out on the relationship spectrum. Those men seemed to have a side piece in every city they traveled to because after all, Men really aren't shit. And just like she had been by your side the moment your life suddenly going down the drain, you would do anything to prevent Bailee from joining you in your personal hell.
Luckily for Bailee though, Josh wasn't like that. God, the kid treated her like a queen from the moment he met her. It's been three years since they started dating, they live in an apartment together and it was everything you could have wished for, for your best friend. Before you knew it, your duo became a trio and Josh was a well-welcomed member. What sold you, besides how he treated Bailee, was how good he was with Riley.
He knew of your past, Bailee had to have told him. Because that first night he came over for movie night that you, Bailee and Riley always had every other weekend, he had pulled you aside and just hugged you. He hugged you and told you that if there was anything you ever needed, no matter what, he was there to help– and that you were one hell of a mom.
Well right now, you needed him to come rescue from this sham of a blind date because you could feel your anxiety begin to have anxiety. The Uber pulled up to the cafe and you took a deep breath, failing to calm yourself. "Thank you, have a good night." You smiled, opening the door and stepping out onto the sidewalk.
You hugged your cardigan tight against your body as you looked up at the lit cafe sign. It felt as if your feet were glued to the ground and you couldn't bring yourself to move. You closed your eyes for only a moment, taking another calming breath before staring up at the sign again. "You can do this, come on..."
You took that first step and though your feet felt heavy, you took another. You hated that you were so nervous about this stupid date, especially since you didn't even know who you were meeting. You had an idea of a few candidates that Josh and Bailee could have set you up with. All being coworkers of Bailee that she often talked up from time to time– none of them even attracting some of your attention.
At least not enough to make you want to go on a date. Your dating game has been nonexistent for 11 years– from the moment you met Dylan. You were broken when he left like he did and it's taken you the last three years just to be able to pick yourself up and be okay again. There was that time last year when you attempted to go out on dates, and sure...some of them went good. But they all had one thing in common: they all ended up with the same result. That was last year though. Obviously, you must be ready to date. After all, Josh and Bailee set this up. Yet, in the back of your mind, you couldn't help but think about just how bad of an idea this could be.
God, you were practically damaged goods at this point.
When you finally made it into the cafe, you made it a point to look around at the customers lounging about. Granted, it wasn't that crowded since it was a Friday night and a cafe wasn't necessarily the first choice for nighttime activity. However, you did notice that there wasn't a man anywhere around you, looking like he might be expecting someone to walk in. Ooh, bright side...maybe he skipped out. Brushing the wishful thinking out of your mind, you walked up to the counter and greeted the worker with a smile.
"Hi, welcome to Lava Java, what can I get you?" She looked like a college student, at least a few years younger than Madison.
"Can I get a vanilla cinnamon roll and a large hot chocolate?" You smiled, pulling your wallet out of your purse. "Oh, and one chocolate croissant to go."
"Is everything else for here?" She asked, marking your cup. When she saw you nod in reply, she tapped more on her screen before moving to bag your chocolate croissant. "Okay, that'll be $10.75."
You handed over a $20 and grabbed Riley's bagged croissant before being handed your change. "Thank you," you smiled, sliding in the four $1s she gave you, into the tip jar.
"Okay, just go ahead and have a seat somewhere and place this marker on your table. Someone will be there shortly with your order."
You gave her a polite smile before grabbing your sign. You looked around the cafe, wondering just where you should sit. It seemed like there were three options: a few tables off into the back corner of the store, some worn, but comfy-looking couches to the right of that and then just snuggled next to the window, three empty booths. When you looked towards the window, you saw that it had started to rain and immediately you found yourself walking towards the booth.
You always found some sort of comfort in the rain. Maybe it was from all of those times on long car rides where you'd pretend you were in some music video that played on MTV while listening to whatever song was playing on your choice cd in your cd player. Better yet, it was probably from how much you and Bailee idolized Hilary Duff's 'Metamorphosis' album and decided that 'Come Clean' was your guys' theme song. Whatever the reason was, the moment you sat down and looked at the raindrops decorated on the window, you felt an invisible weight lift off of your shoulders and your whole body sink down into the chair.
The bells above the door jingled and your eyes immediately moved away from the window and towards the door, only to see a young mother and her son come in. He looked to be around 10 and like he was fresh from soccer practice– still in his uniform and covered in grass stains. You smiled to yourself, easily being able to picture you and Riley coming into this very café in the same situation– though, figuring out what sport she could possibly be playing four years down the road, was a puzzle in itself.
"Large hot chocolate and a vanilla cinnamon roll?" You looked to your right to see another worker, only this time a teenaged boy, carrying your order.
"That's me," you smiled, adjusting your posture as he placed the order in front of you and took your order number. "Thank you."
He nodded politely before walking back to behind the counter, leaving you alone. You sighed, bringing your wrist up from your lap and checking the time. It's only five minutes past when the two of you were supposed to meet– he was late.
No, no, don't get like that. It's raining, traffic is probably horrible. Stop trying to psych yourself out.
You took a peep at your phone before resting it on the table and then letting your hand drop back into your lap with a sigh. "Bailee so owes me if this guy doesn't show," you mumbled to yourself, picking up your hot chocolate.
"Oh God, I can already see the glare she'd give me if you sent her a text right now." You once again looked towards your right to see an extremely attractive man standing right beside the table. "Please, for the love of God, save me from that crazy woman."
You shouldn't have done it, but you couldn't have held your laugh back if you tried. You let your eyes linger on him longer then you should have. As your eyes traveled up, you took note of just how built he was. He couldn't have been a co-worker of Bailee's, those guys looked like they haven't done a workout in years. But this guy...this guy looked like he knew his way around a gym and most definitely ran 5k's on holiday mornings. He had style too, which was a lot to say for some men. Sure, he was wearing a basic casual outfit: basic dark blue jeans, some white Nikes, a maroon sweater and a black jacket–– but he wore it well...really well. Your eyes continued up to where you could see a chain peeking out from beneath his sweater just as his adam's apple bobbed. You sped up your gaze, taking in his trimmed, scruffy beard, his cocky smirk and blue eyes frozen on you.
Only then did you realize just how long you had been staring at this...extremely attractive stranger, without even doing the polite thing and introducing yourself. "Oh, I–," you cleared your throat, standing up quickly and taking in your difference in height before extending your hand out to him. "I'm Y/N."
"I know," he laughed, shaking your hand and nodding down at the table. "What do you suggest?"
"Oh uh, my ba–" You stumbled over your words, correcting yourself before you could say, 'babysitter.' "My friend suggested a vanilla cinnamon roll or a chocolate croissant and for a drink, I went simple with a hot chocolate."
"Sounds good, I'll be right back," he turned to walk towards the counter before turning back, pointing at your phone. "If you do text her, please tell her I showed up."
You just nodded and watched him walk away before looking down at your phone and plopping back down into his seat. You let out a huff of breath before grabbing your phone and unlocking it, opening your message to Bailee.
'YOU DIDN'T SAY HE WAS THIS HOT. I THINK HE CAUGHT ME STARING. I PROBABLY WAS SECONDS AWAY FROM DROOLING'
'hahaha, i've got you girl ;) now have fun and stay off the phone!'
'but i fully expect the details tonight. text me when you're on your way home and i'll come over!'
"What's the verdict?" You almost jumped out of your chair at the sound of his voice, as your phone dropped into your lap. "Is she planning on castrating me anyway? I'd like to at least have a warning."
He placed his number sign down onto the table before settling down in the seat across from you. "It sounds like you've had a run-in with her alter-ego, huh?" You joked, sliding your phone into your purse that was resting on the windowsill.
He laughed, shaking his head slightly. "Try multiple times. She's quite...terrifying when she gets all riled up, but it brings Josh out of his shell so, I guess it's a good thing."
"Who are you?" You blurted out, widening your eyes before shaking your head. "Sorry, that was aggressive. I mean, I told you my name...though you already knew what it was...and what I looked like." You furrowed your eyebrows and tilted your head to the side. "I thought this was supposed to be a blind date? Oh God, are you like Joe from 'You'?"
He stared at you as you kept rambling on, his eyebrows furrowed just like yours. He dug into his jacket pocket before bringing out an iPhone and typing on the screen before sliding it across the table to you. You looked down to see text messages from Bailee.
'her name is Y/N and she's probably looking all doom and gloom because josh and i dipped.'
"I'm going to kill her," you said, sliding his phone back over to him. "Doom and gloom? Did I look all doom and gloom?"
He put his phone back into his pocket and shrugged his shoulders. "Kind of?"
You sighed, holding onto your drink with both hands before taking a sip. "I'm sorry, I don't mean to be all..." you waved your hand aimlessly before taking a sip. "Wait," you pulled the cup back again, "that doesn't explain how you knew what I looked like."
"Would you call me a douchebag if I say it's because you were the first person I saw when I walked in and I thought you were extremely beautiful, so I just took my chances, hoping it was you?"
"Eh, maybe not a douchebag," you said, shrugging your shoulders before smiling at him again. "Cliche is more like it."
"Is that a bad thing?" He asked, leaning onto the table, raising an eyebrow. "Does that mean I've ruined my chances before we've even started the date?"
"Eh," you smiled, breaking off a piece of the vanilla cinnamon roll and nodding your head to the side. "We'll see how this goes."
He ran his tongue alongside the bottom of his teeth before smacking his lips and smiling at you just as his order was brought to the table– almost an exact match to yours. "So, Y/N, I guess I should probably introduce myself if I want to make the best impression on you, huh?" He asked, clearing his throat and holding up his large hot chocolate.
"I guess so...."
"Boone."
"Boone," you smiled, making a mental note of the way his gruff voice sent tingles down your body. "To a great date?"
He tapped his cup against yours and smiled. "To a great date."
❒❒❒❒
"You guys didn't do that, you're lying!" He laughed, leaning back into his seat and crossing his arms across his chest.
"I'm so serious!" You nodded your head, holding your hand in front of your mouth as you laughed. "That's why we don't play odds are anymore. It got us banned from football games for the rest of the year, not to mention a potential case of horrible frostbite."
"I cannot believe you guys streaked at a college football game during half time," he leaned towards the table and smiled, nodding at you. "I've got mad respect now."
"Oh come on, you're telling me that you haven't done anything like that?" He tried to hold back a smile and you pointed at him. "Ah, nope, you have. What did you do?"
He rolled his eyes and shook his head. "Initiation my first year in the OHL. It's a team ritual to sneak into the rink late at night after the first practice and have all of the rookies do a few naked laps with nothing but skates and a helmet." He leaned back into his chair once again, taking a bite of his cinnamon roll. "Nothing too major."
Your eyes immediately drop to his chest and when you see him move, you quickly look down at your hot chocolate picking it up and avoiding any kind of eye contact. Nothing would be more embarrassing than having to look him in the eye after you were checking him out.
You weren't sure how long the two of you had been sitting at the table and talking, that's how easy the conversation flowed between you two. Almost off the bat the two of you talked about your friendships with Josh and Bailee, seeing as the two of them were your common connection. When you first discovered that he was Josh's teammate, you felt a little nervous. Sure, maybe dating a professional athlete was Bailee's thing, but not so much yours. Professional athletes often come with some pretty heavy reputations and you were in no way shape or form wanting to even catch a glimpse of said reputation.
But as soon as the two of you got to talking...you found yourself thinking that maybe this couldn't be so bad after all. He was funny, smart and kind...a jackpot in your book. Yet you couldn't help but wonder why he was being put up on a blind date anyway. Surely he couldn't be having a hard time finding a girl to have on his arm. Whereas you, well, this date was your best friend's attempt at getting you out there again and preventing you from closing yourself off for the rest of your life. So what was his reasoning?
"So, tell me about yourself."
"What do you want to know?" You asked, taking a sip of your hot chocolate once more.
"Well, I already know how you and Bailee are best friends, where you went to college, what you majored in, how you got banned from football games for an entire season..." He leaned onto the table and reached across the table, his hand pausing in front of yours as he raised his eyebrows, asking your permission to touch your face.
You nodded, surprised that you were even capable of doing that since you were frozen as just how close he was even just across the table. How his sandalwood cologne seemingly clouded your senses, as his thumb wiped the corner of your mouth. "And now I know that hot chocolate might just be your favorite drink, considering how you've gotten it all over your mouth. So tell me something that I don't know."
That I have a 5-year-old daughter sitting at home with her babysitter right now.
You wanted to say it. Normally, especially on the few dates that you've been on, it's been the first thing that came out of your mouth. It almost has to be. You're 26 years old and it would be a miracle to find a man who wanted to date you, even after finding out about Riley. But time and time again, you've been met with disappointment. And you can't really blame them, it's hard to find someone who wants to settle down at that age, let alone date someone who already has a first-grader. Boone though...you felt like maybe he was different, that maybe, just maybe if you said the words...he wouldn't run away terrified. At least, you were hoping so.
"Actually yes, I–"
The muffled sound of your ringtone came from your purse and he nodded towards it. "Go ahead, I'll throw away our trash."
You gave him a polite smile as you dug through your purse, pulling out your phone to see Madison's name on the screen. Your heart began to race as your mind immediately thought of all of the worst-case scenarios– that's normally what your life had been like the last five years.
Worst-case scenarios.
"Madison is everything okay?" You asked, watching as Boone walked over to the trashcan, throwing your wrappers away and putting the plates down into the plastic bin beside it.
"Yes, no? I don't know, Y/N," she sighed, sounding stressed. "I just got a call from one of Trevor's teammates and he's on his way to the emergency room. Something about how he took a really nasty hit in practice and I...I really need to go."
You felt your heart drop as you registered the news. Trevor and Madison had been dating since their sophomore year of high school. High school sweethearts who decided to go to the same college and have made it work no matter how stressful he gets from his hockey workouts or her from her school work. It was a perfect relationship, the one that you had lived not too long before.
He was a nice kid too, Trevor. Not to mention that Riley loved him just like she loved Madison. The two of them, whenever they were up to it, often babysat her together and whenever you had to do some work and her schedule allowed it, Madison even took Riley to a game or two of Trevors. The other reason your heart dropped? When you looked at Boone and you realized that you had to cut the date short.
"I'm so so sorry to interrupt your date Y/N, I just–" you could feel her start to get riled up and you shook your head.
"No, no, don't apologize, Madison. I'll be there soon, okay?"
After a million and one thank you's and apologies, you were able to hang up the phone just as Boone reached the table. "Is everything okay?"
You opened your mouth to speak, but couldn't find the right way to say 'I loved this date and talking to you, but I really have to go because my babysitter needs to go see her injured boyfriend.'
Instead, you stood up, almost tripping back into your chair and grabbed your purse. "I really need to get home, something came up," you put your purse over your shoulder and pulled your cardigan tight against you. "I'm sorry, I had a really nice time."
"Well hey, let me drive you home–"
"No!" You said, almost a bit too loud as you looked around the cafe to see no one looking at you. "I just, I wouldn't want to inconvenience you and it's only a few blocks away, I can walk."
"It's not inconveniencing me," he said, grabbing his jacket off of the back of his chair and putting it on before digging his keys out of his pant pockets. "Besides, it seems like you're really in a hurry and my car can get us wherever you need to be, a lot faster than your..." you felt your cheeks warm up as his gaze lingered on your legs longer than normal before he cleared his throat and looked back up at you. "than your legs can get you there."
You thought about resisting his offer again, but you knew he was right. His short drive meant that Madison could get to Trevor a lot quicker than if you were to walk. "I'm so sorry for this, you're probably going out of your way and–"
"You don't need to apologize, Y/N," he said, leading the way down the sidewalk and to a blacked-out jeep wrangler, holding the passenger door open for you. "Besides, this just means I get to spend a little more time with you since you're trying to pull a Cinderella on me."
You were left without an answer as you climbed into his car and he shut the door behind you, walking around. For an NHL player, you had to admit that you thought he'd drive a much fancier car. Sure, Jeep Wranglers had the potential to be fancy as hell, but it was nothing like a Mustang Convertible, a Maserati or hell, even a nice Lamborghini. Another note about him that you had to make in the back of your mind:
Boone Jenner (so far) was nothing like the professional athlete stereotype you had put him in.
When you reached your apartment complex, you tried your hardest to get him to stay in his car and just drop you off outside of the door. But ever the gentleman he seemed to be, he continued to walk you into the building and even up to your apartment door where you tried to say your goodbyes again.
"For the last time, Y/N, my mother raised me right," he smiled, leaning against the wall by your door. "And if she found out that I didn't at least make sure my date got home safely, she might pull a crazy Bailee and castrate me."
You laughed, shaking your head at his comment just as a small silence settled between the two of you. You still had your arms crossed as you looked anywhere in the hallway except for at him. He was radiating confidence and you could only wish that some of that would rub off on you. He leaned off of the wall and stood in front of you, his hands rested in his jean pockets. "So, is this where you leave me your glass slipper?"
"What?"
"Cinderella, remember?" He smiled, raising an eyebrow as your confused expression. “Except, I guess in our case...the glass slipper would be your number.”
Just when you went to reply, the door opened and you saw a frazzled Madison standing there with her backpack tossed over her shoulders. "Okay, I thought that was you I heard, thank you again Y/N for coming so quickly," she looked away from you and at Boone before snapping her head back in your direction and giving you wide eyes. "I'm so so sorry. Oh, also, she's been complaining about not feeling well, so I gave her some medicine and she's sleeping."
"It's okay, Madison. I just hope Trevor is okay," you sighed, as Boone stepped out of the doorway and gave Madison room to walk into the hallway. "Thank you and text me when you get there, okay?"
You maneuvered your way into the doorway of your apartment, standing in the way of any view Boone could have into your small living space. When he turned back from the hallway, you could feel his eyes taking you and your flustered appearance in. You didn't want him to find out this way, not before you could even tell him– so the next best thing was to just get him on his way home before he could.
"Are you okay?" He asks, looking concerned. "Is there anything I can help you with?"
"No, no, that's okay I–"
"Mommy?" The soft, sleepy voice of Riley caused you to turn around. She was standing there, only a few feet behind you in her 'Frozen' pajamas and holding on to her old baby blanket. Even from where you were standing, you could see that she was flushed– the ultimate sign of a sick child. "I don't feel so good..."
Before you or Boone could even get another word out, Riley hunched over and threw up all over herself and the floor. You immediately turned around to face Boone, preparing to explain what was going on...but the moment you looked at his face, you knew that you didn't need to.
The furrowed eyebrows, the widened eyes with slight hints of fear and the tiniest hint of disgust, most likely from the vomit, was written all over his face.
You've seen the look before and it honestly wouldn't be the last time you see it either. So, you did what you normally did and took a few seconds to remind yourself that, hey, it was going to end like this anyway...right?
"Goodnight Boone. Thank you for tonight and walking me home," you turn back to see Riley hugging tightly onto her blanket before she starts to cry, still standing there behind you. "I'm sorry."
"Yeah..." He said, still staring behind you as if he's seen a ghost or even unsure as to what he's looking at. "No problem." And with those three words, he disappeared down the hall.
You closed the door with a sigh before locking it and walking towards the kitchen counter, tossing your purse onto it. "Hi baby," you whispered, walking up to Riley and taking her blanket from her. "Let's go get you rinsed off and in some new pajamas, okay? Then we can camp out in the living room in case you have another accident."
Riley, as sleepy as ever, nodded and sniffled as she held onto your hand and you led her back towards the bathroom. You had her stand outside of the bathroom as you walked into her room and grabbed her some new pajamas before taking her into the bathroom with you before preparing a quick bath. It was something you never thought you'd ever be used to– cleaning up after a sick child. But a lot had changed in the last five years and you had a lot of growing up to do the moment you had Riley.
As you got her into the bath and tossed her dirty pajamas in the sink, you sighed and squatted down beside the tub, filling up a cup so you could get her rinsed off. You felt guilty about feeling so disappointed that your date had to end so abruptly. Trevor was injured and Riley was sick– and here you were, throwing yourself a mini pity party because you met a great guy and everything went to hell.
"Mommy?" Riley mumbled, looking up at you as you brushed the wet hair out of her eyes. "Did you bring me my chocolate?"
You laughed, cupping the left side of her face, happy to see a bit of color coming back to her. She was most definitely your child– sick as a dog and still thinking about sweets. "Yes, I did. It's sitting in the fridge, waiting for your tummy to feel better."
She yawned as you leaned forward and pulled up the drain, letting the water flow out as you picked her up with a dry towel and placed her on the floor. You dried her off and got her in her new pajamas before carrying her back out into the living room and sitting her down onto the couch. Your 'camping' supplies, as she liked to call it, were housed just in the small linen closet. It was really just extra blankets and pillows for whenever Bailee came over for movie night. You grabbed them and walked back into the living room, setting them out in front of the tv before looking up to see Riley passed out on the couch. You picked her up and placed her down onto the blanket, covering her up before walking back to your bedroom to get ready for bed.
You sat down on the edge of your bed and took a deep breath, letting your body fall back as you exhale deeply, staring up at the ceiling. You didn't want to close your eyes because every time you did, all you saw was just how quickly the smile on Boone's face had turned into the disappointment.
You already knew it, a kid was the dealbreaker...just like it was for every other guy. Tonight was the most fun that you'd had in a long, long time. The sad part is that you really thought he could have been different and that maybe he would have loved Riley, just like you and everyone else does.
And the small ache in your chest was just another friendly reminder that maybe you should stop getting your hopes up.

John Mitchell x Reader
Words: 3775
Summary: Walking home from a late shift at work, you’re attacked and go missing for nearly 24 hours. Your worried boyfriend, Mitchell, searches endlessly, but to no avail. When you return, new changes and memories of the attack haunt you and forces Mitchell to face his greatest fear.
Notes: I started Being Human a while ago and I really enjoy the premise and the characters. Plus, Aidan Turner will forever own my soul. And yes, I know humans can’t see Annie, but I’m breaking that rule for this alright! Also, the timeline isn’t going to be accurate. The perspective is going to jump from the reader to Mitchell often because I felt like it really helped set the panicked mood. (This is when Lauren was evil so there won’t be any redemption for her in this one) This may be getting a part two! We’ll see how it goes.
Warnings: This is going to deal with some torture, gore, and a pretty vivid description of death. Feel free to skip if uncomfortable, it’ll be a dark one. (I hope to be writing some Mitchell fluff at some point)
You were the most beautifully normal thing in his life. He was the dark that you’d grown so fond of in a life of being forced into the limelight. You were his redemption and he was your escape. You warmed his cold heart and he had restored your faith in love.
Mitchell watched the sun make your skin glow in its morning light. Even when you slept, you were so alive. He ran a finger down your cheek and placed a kiss on your forehead before quietly sneaking down the kitchen to let you sleep in while he made breakfast. You needed as much sleep as you could get with your shift tonight. He hated it when you worked late because you always insisted on walking alone. You always said that you enjoyed the quiet of the night, but you didn't know what truly waited in the dark.
When Mitchell told you that he was a vampire, you were surprisingly open to the idea. You wanted to help him, no matter what it took. But you were blissfully unaware of the threat that the rest of the vampires posed.
You slowly opened your eyes, groaning as the sun cued you to wake up. Your feet dragged across the hallway floor and you could just hear the sound of whistling while the smell of eggs and sausage wafted up the stairs. Annie was sitting atop the kitchen counter while Mitchell cooked, whistling a tune. She shot you a suggestive look.
“What’s got him in such a good mood?” She asked. You shrugged and she gave you a wink and the two of you giggled behind his back.
“What are you two going on about?” He plated the foot and draped an arm around your waist.
“We’re just talking about how sweet it is that you’ve made breakfast.” You fibbed with a cheeky grin on your face. As he walked passed you, you yelped as you felt his hand smack your backside.
“This is a kitchen!” George exclaimed as he entered with a disgusted look on his face. “Can you keep the vulgarity in your room?” Mitchell turned to his friend with eyebrows raised.
“Shall we all recall your sexual endeavors involving a certain nurse-”
“No, no, that is quite unnecessary.” He stammered. The rest of you laughed at his scowl and ate your breakfast merrily. When you were all finished, George glanced at the time and stood. “We better get going.” With a sigh, Mitchell placed a kiss to your forehead and grabbed his coat.
“I’ll be there to walk you home tonight.” He said sternly. You rolled your eyes.
“Mitchell, it’s twelve blocks out of your way. I’ll be fine. I walked home alone plenty of times before we started dating.” You grabbed hold of the color of his coat and reassured him with a passionate kiss, earning a sound of annoyance from George. “I’ll see you when I get home tonight, alright?”
“Y/N-” He started, but a mere glare from you silenced his objections. Reluctantly, he surrendered. “Alright.” With a final peck on the cheek, he left with George for their shift at the hospital.
“I still can’t believe that it’s been a year since the two of you met.” Annie sighed. “It feels like yesterday that Mitchell started bringing home that cute bartender with a bright smile and beautiful eyes.” She sat down across from you. “I’d never seen him so happy.”
“The three of you have been incredible.” You replied sincerely. “I never felt... loved before I came here.” You remembered your childhood of cold, unfeeling moments and disappointments. When you met Mitchell, all of that changed. He brought you into his world of excitement and intrigue, but most importantly love. George and Annie made you feel welcome and become two of your closest friends.
You spent the rest of the day lazily lounging on the couch, gossiping with Annie and raiding Mitchell’s CD collection. Most of it was rubbish, but you listened to it anyway. Six o'clock arrived faster than you wished, but you put on your uniform and headed to work nonetheless. You always felt guilty leaving Annie there alone. You were the only actual human that was able to see her, the only one she could gossip and laugh with. She loved Mitchell and George, but there was something special about having another girl around the house that she could talk to.
Work was uneventful, as usual, until a girl sitting at the bar struck up a conversation with you. She was friendly and cute, with her short curly hair and big hazel eyes. You were surprised that half the guys hadn’t hit on her yet.
“How long have you worked here?” She asked as you poured her a drink. You blew out a long breath, trying to think of how many nights of drunk men flirting with you that you had endured.
“A little over a year, I guess.” You shrugged. It wasn’t long after you started working at the pub that you met Mitchell.
“Do creeps always look at you like that.” She motioned to a man sitting across from her at the bar. She wasn’t wrong. He definitely was creepy, with his beady blue eyes and thin face.
“I guess, sometimes, yeah.” You both laughed and you had a lovely time speaking with her for the majority of the night. She left just a few hours before your shift ended, followed by the man who’d stared at you. You hoped that she got out alright.
Your shift ended just like every shift before. You washed the glasses and hung up your apron. You bid farewell to your mate, Marty, who had been manning the kitchen all night. Everything was just normal. When you started down the sidewalk with only the streetlamps to light your way, you weren’t afraid. You’d walked that path a hundred times. So you didn’t run when you heard the footsteps behind you.
“Evenin’,” the man greeted. Your breathing hitched. It was the man from the pub. You just gave him a half smile and pulled out your mobile phone, pretending to answer a call. Before you could even say a word to your imaginary caller, he yanked you into the alleyway, covering your mouth as you tried to scream. “Your easy on the eyes, aren't you?” He sneered.
“W-what do you want?” You stammered, your heart pounding wildly. He inhaled deeply, his lips gracing your neck and making your skin crawl.
“Lauren said I could soften you up a bit before she gets here.” His hand traveled down your side to your thigh. You struggled against him, but he had you pinned against the wall, his arms like a cage.
“Please, just let me go.” You pleaded. When he showed no sign of back off, you drove your foot down hard on his, using his brief moment of surprise to break free. You ran like you never had before, but it didn't matter. In seconds, he appeared in front of you, his eyes black and fangs protruding from his mouth. That wasn't what made you scream. You'd seen Mitchell's eyes like that before. They'd never scared you.
No. It was all of the thoughts running thru your head that frightened you. The realization that you would never kiss Mitchell again, or feel his arms around you. You would never laugh with Annie again or tease George. You would never see any of them again. That's what made you scream. You screamed until your lungs felt like they’d burst. You screamed until you were sure that every house in Bristol was awake. You wished that you could see him one last time. To tell Mitchell how much he meant to you, but you weren’t naive enough to think you’d survive. By the time that the blow to the back of your head knocked you out, you already felt half dead.
Mitchell jolted upwards from his spot on the couch. He’d dozed off waiting for Y/N to come home. Annie was in the kitchen making tea, as usual. Something had woken him up. A noise. A faint sound. But he couldn’t tell what it was.
“Did you hear something?” He asked, standing up and walking to the kitchen. Annie shook her head. “What time is it?” She looked around for the clock.
“Half past two.” She didn’t think much of it until Mitchell’s eyes grew wide. “Why?”
“Y/N’s shift ended a half an hour ago.” His fingers tapped nervously on the countertop, making Annie uneasy.
“I’m sure she just had some last minute washing up to do at the pub.” She put a hand on his shoulder. “She’ll be back soon.” As Mitchell stared out the window, he tried to force the noise that woke him out of his head. There was something about it. Something dark and wrong. And, although he wanted to convince himself otherwise, it sounded like a scream.
When you woke up you were bleeding. You could feel it on the back of your neck from where you’d been hit. It was brighter than you’d expected. Sunlight streamed through the window in front of you. It was just beginning to rise. Mitchell would know that you weren’t home by now. But why were you still alive?
“Good morning.” A familiar voice greeted darkly. It was the girl from the bar. You tried to stand, but there was something tying your arms and legs down. Your vision was still too blurry to tell what, but you could just see her face as she got closer. “I’m Lauren. We have a friend in common.” She grabbed another chair and sat down in front of you.
“Mitchell,” you replied breathily. As more things came into focus, more panic set in. You were in some kind of basement, musty and dark. And besides you, there was a table that Lauren surveyed. She picked up a long, thin knife, dragging it across her lips with a grin.
“He turned me into this.” Her eyes flashed black and you struggled against your restraints. “And he left me to rot.” She spat, circling your chair with a hungry glare in her eyes.
“Can we feed yet?” Another voice hissed. It was the man who had attacked you. “She smells,” he inhaled deeply, “delicious.”
“Not yet, Seth.” She ordered, his fangs wavering too close to your neck. “We’re going to have some fun first.” Without warning, she drove the knife deep into your leg.
Mitchell was frantic. Why wasn’t she home? What happened? Where could she be? Neither George nor Annie could calm him down as he paced the living room.
“I’m going to go look for her.” He announced. “We still don’t know what happened, she could still be-” George began, but he wouldn’t listen.
“Her shift ended five hours ago, George. She wouldn’t just disappear without letting one of us know.” His tone was panicked and he grabbed his keys and his mobile. George stood from his place on the couch.
“I’ll help you look.” He offered. Mitchell nodded and looked at Annie.
“You’ll keep here in case she comes back?” She gave him a small smile for an answer and the two were off, hoping that whatever had happened, they weren’t too late.
Your white uniform blouse was stained with blood by the time Lauren tired of the knife. Your leg throbbed, as well as other cuts up and down your torso she’d entertained herself with. Seth was growing more and more impatient.
“Come on, Lauren, let someone else have a little fun.” He whined. She rolled her eyes and stepped aside, allowing him to lurk over you. You tried to shrink away, but there was nowhere for you to go and the pain was becoming unbearable. His hands found your legs and wandered up towards the wound, causing you to wince. You bit your lip to keep from screaming again. He looked you in the eye as he licked the blood trickling from your arm, sending shivers down your spine.
Mitchell and George stormed down the streets, searching every corner and every crevice. George was worried, but Mitchell looked sick. His eyes were dark and his breathing was hurried and panicked. If he had a heartbeat, it would be pounding.
“Maybe we should split up.” He suggested.
“Are you sure? You don’t look-” George started.
“We have to find her.” Mitchell snapped, without hesitation. George surrendered, and started off in the opposite direction. Mitchell went to the pub and asked Y/N’s coworkers if they’d seen her. None of them gave him any hope. He backtracked, walking down the path she would have taken to get home and he smelled it. The faint, sharp scent of blood. On the pavement, there was a small spot that was stained, barely noticeable, but he saw it. And he knew it was hers.
You weren’t sure how much longer you would last. Blood dripped endlessly from your wounds and now that Seth had gotten a taste, you knew there was nothing stopping him. You could only pray for a quick end at this point.
“It's time,” Lauren growled, digging the knife into her own wrist. As she looked over you, you realized what she was doing.
“No.” You fought more than ever despite the stinging pain. “No.” You shook your head, clamping your mouth shut. Lauren pressed her hand against the gaping, bloody hole in your leg. No matter how hard you tried, you couldn't keep from screaming. She shoved her wrist into your mouth, her blood filling your mouth. You tried to spit it out, but she held your face firmly, forcing you to swallow.
“Now you’re going to end up just like me.” She grinned. She nodded toward Seth and he clamped his fangs on your wrist. Before you could even cry out, Lauren dug her's into your neck. It felt as if she was ripping out your throat. You could feel the skin tear as she bit a chunk out of your neck. You couldn't even make enough sound to cry.
But you couldn't give into the darkness. You would become like them. You had to watch Mitchell live with the struggle every day. What would he do if you became like him? Would he abandon you like he did Lauren?
No. He wouldn't. You could barely see their black eyes now. Everything was fading away- the room, the vampires, the sun.
“You have to hang in there, love.” Mitchell's voice broke through the pain. It only in your mind, but it was the last thing you could cling to. “You have to fight.” But you couldn't. No matter how hard you tried to stay awake, no matter how desperately you held on to the little life you had left, it slipped away, turning your white shirt completely crimson.
When you were a child, you wondered what death felt like. Everyone always said it was probably like falling asleep, but they couldn't have known the feeling of darkness seeping into you from every angle. The feeling of every part of your body slowly and painfully losing feeling, shutting down piece by piece. They couldn't know the feeling of fear. The terror of not knowing what was on the other side. You gasped out one final word before you couldn't fight anymore.
“Mitchell.” And, with nothing left, you became darkness.
The sun was setting and there was no stone left in Bristol unturned. As night set in, Mitchell fell into despair, but he refused to stop searching. He went back to the spot where he found Y/N’s blood, retracing where she would have gone the previous night. Again, there was nothing else that would lead back to her. When he answered his mobile, George could hear the defeat in his voice.
“I can’t find anything.” Mitchell lamented. “All there is is a spot of blood and a scent that leads nowhere. If I could just-”
“Mitchell., George said promptly. He sighed. “She’s here.”
“What?” He exclaimed. He started back towards the house, nearly sprinting. “I’ll be there in a moment.”
“Wait, Mitchell, there’s something you need to-” He hung up before George could finish.
George looked at Annie mournfully as the two tried to clean up the drops of blood leading up the stairs. Other than the sound of the shower running, everything was eerily quiet. It wasn’t until they heard your footsteps overhead and Mitchell’s door close that they sat down on the steps, neither able to say a word. There were tears on Annie’s cheeks and George was too much in a state of shock to feel anything.
When Mitchell finally arrived, they were barely able to stop him long enough to get a word in.
“Where is she? What happened?” He asked frantically. George stood, but Annie just stared off, unmoving.
“Something happened, Mitchell.” He began slowly and carefully. “Something that you need to know before you go up there.” Mitchell’s confusion and concern escalated.
“What’s the matter with you two? What is going-” He stopped, taking a step back as he smelled it. The entire room reeked of blood. It was coming from a plastic bag, buried in the bin. They hoped he wouldn’t find it. He pulled out the crimson shirt and recognized it as Y/N’s work uniform. The uniform that she kept pristinely white because she hated getting it dirty. He dropped the clothing in horror and pushed passed them, running upstairs before they could stop him. He couldn't reach his room fast enough.
When he burst in, you were curled up on the bed, facing away from him. Your body trembled. He stepped forward, but you flinched further away.
“Get out.” You snapped, not even looking up. Mitchell was surprised by your aggressive tone, but made no movements to leave.
“I've been looking everywhere for you. What happened? Where have you been?” He asked, his voice more worried than ever.
“Leave.” You growled again. You could feel your hands shake as the images flashed through your head. The body, the blood, but most of all you remembered the hunger.
“Y/N, please, don't shut off on me.” He pleaded. “I've been losing my mind worrying about you and now I come back and there's the bloody clothes and George and Annie are acting strange. You won't even look at me. Now please, love, tell me what happened.” He gently grabbed your arm, wanting more than anything to just hold you again.
“I said go!” You whirled around and Mitchell stumbled back, looking into your empty black eyes. He shook his head, his heart not willing to believe what his eyes saw.
“No.” He gasped. He fell to his knees, his voice breaking as he spoke. “No, no, God, no, what have they done to you?” He put his hands on either side of your face, guilt and sorrow and fury flooding his senses. You could no longer keep your emotions buried down inside and you let out a wrenching sob, letting Mitchell pull you into his arms as he, too, cried with all of the pain of the past godforsaken hours rushing over him.
“I t-tried to fight- to fight them.” You barely managed to say through the waves of sobs. Mitchell just held onto you.
“It’s my fault.” He whispered. “This is all my fault.”
“I k-killed him.” You muttered, your mind able to focus on nothing else. “After they released me, I saw him walking and I was so hungry.” Mitchell pushed back enough to look at you and found your eyes returned to those of the woman he loved.
“Who did you kill?” He asked softly, remembering the feeling of taking a life- especially for the first time. You couldn’t bring yourself to look at him.
“Marty.” You sniffed, still able to taste your co-worker’s blood on your tongue. “I killed Marty.” Seeing like this was enough to break him. Seeing your anguish, knowing that it was his fault, split his unbeating heart violently down the middle. He pulled you back into his arms, doing whatever he could to sooth you as you cried. When you seemed to have calmed down slightly, he took a deep breath, letting his anger fuel his words.
“Who did this to you?” His voice was gentle, hiding the rage inside. You clung to his shirt, remembering their faces as they sunk their fangs into you. You could still feel the searing sting.
“L-Lauren and a man named Seth.” You answered. Just their names sent chills through you all over again. Mitchell stood up, clenching his fists. “They took me when I was walking home. I woke up and she had a knife and-” You stopped, trying not to relive the whole terrible event. “Anyway, the scars are gone now.”  He threw his lamp across the room, causing you to flinch and shrink back onto the bed, wrapping your arms around your knees. Downstairs, George and Annie winced, but knew that intervening would only make things worse.
He was going to rip them apart. He let out a furious scream, pounding his fist into the wall. He was going to hunt them down and take them apart, piece by piece. He would inflict onto them the pain they’d inflicted on you tenfold. Every emotion was replaced by the need for vengeance… until he turned around and saw the utter fear in your eyes.
“I’m sorry.” He sighed, sitting back down, careful to not make sudden movements again. You moved slowly back towards him, your fingers intertwining with his.
“I’m scared.” You whispered. He placed a hand on your cheek, wishing that he could save you from what was to come.
“I know.” He pressed his lips to your forehead, wrapping his protective arms around you once more. “I’m going to help you get through this. I won’t let what happened to me end up to you. I won’t let you become what I was. And I am never going to let anyone hurt you again.” With that promise, he knew that you would come first. Before he could take his revenge on Lauren, he would ensure that you would be okay.
You felt the slightest spark of something inside you, refilling the emptiness that had set in ever since they took you. All this time, you’d thought that you would have nothing. You thought that the darkness would consume you. But through the oblivion of the future, you knew that you would always have one thing. You would always have Mitchell.

Tumblr media
[masterlist in bio] 03.03.19 [reposted 03.13.19] pairing: myoui mina {twice} x reader {female} genre: fluffyyy word count: 1.213k a/n: aghdsgc this was a cute ass request so i had to do it asap uwu warning: i’m terrible at kiss scenes and ending stories so ignore the dumbness; undedited
Tumblr media
uM OKA Y SOFT UWU HOURS ARE O P E N N
alright so you and mina have been dating for a good two weeks now
u guise are the cutest couple i swear
like u’re always giggling n smiling n blushing n looking away when u hold hands or brush the hair out of the other’s eyes
but,,,
neither of y’all have had the guts to kiss the other person yet !!
or go on a date !!
shyness just completely envelops both of you whenever the thought pops up in ur heads
so mina decides it’s time for that to change !!
she just wants to be a cute ass pair of bitches walking hand in hand down the sidewalk in cute ass outfits n cute ass smiles n cute ass energy radiating off of u two
n being the romantic ass hoe she is, what cuter date could two girlfriends have than at a café ! i live for café dates omg
so she arranges plans w u for the little one by the park near all the other shops
and the next three days it’s the only thing she can think of oml
finally ur seventeen (17) day anniversary arrives
aka the day of ur first date
n this poor bby is all over the place
what does she wear ? how early does she show up ? does she bring u flowers ? how does she greet u ?
little stuff like that, but obv she just wants everything to be perfect
after a good hour and a half and with the help of momo’s boujee ass mina finally finds an outfit
like a little black pleated skirt w a beige sweater n a brown mini purse crossed over her body w her hair lightly curled
idk what it is but she looks cute as hell ok
n she wants to be sweet n shit too so she leaves a lil early to stop by the flower shop to get u one (1) pink n white tulip bc she thinks it’s super cute

LITERALLY
U’RE GOING ON A DATE W MYOUI MINA
WHAT I S N’T THERE TO BE NERVOUS ABOUT
so after spending ur hour figuring out to wear n get ur hair n makeup or wtvr done
u set off on ur way to ur date !
u figured being five minutes early was reasonable, it gave mina time to get there if she hadn’t yet n if she had then she wouldn’t be waiting too long
so now when u walk up n she’s standing there lookin like a cute ass mf ur heart e x p l o d e s in the middle of the sidewalk
like bby pls don’t look so good u’re giving people heart attacks
she gives u a bright ass smile as she walks over to hug u
n her perfume is the prettiest thing u’ve ever smelled in ur life
then she remembers !! she brought u smth !!
“here u go !! i got this for u (/≧ω\)”
like it’s just a single flower but the thought is so cute
n the color matches her face rn too which is adORABLE
so u shyly take it n look down (or confidently w a wink n blowing a kiss, idk whatever fits ur personality i guess) n u guise finally walk in n take a seat by the window
since u didn’t bring her anything but she did u decide to pay for the meal (i don’t know what it’s called ? order ? service ? i—)
n u guise just sit n chat for a good forty-five minutes about everything
still smiling n giggling n being cute gays as always
but,,,,bbygirl's havin a hard time paying attention to what u’re saying
u’re just,,,so mesmerizing to her,,,,
ur voice,,,the way ur eyes sparkle in the sun,,,the way u take a sip of ur drink every time u giggle,,,
n eventually she finds herself being focused on ur lips
!! cliché warning here !!
they’re just so ?? kissable ??
how has she not felt their kissability yet ???
after a few moments of wondering,,,,how u’d smooch,,,,
she makes it her goal to have ur first kiss during this first date !!
“mina, are u ok ? u’ve been zoning out on me :((”
,,,(˵ ͡o ͜ʖ ͡o˵)
“no, no !! i-i just,,,,”
n she just sits there ?? moving her lips n hands ?? as if she’s talking ?? but nothing’s coming out ??
u caught her off guard with a question that’s difficuLT TO ANSWER
“if u’re not enjoying this we can go do smth else,,,it rly doesn’t bother me”
lmao fucK u’re scaring her now
how ?? does one just tell their girlfriend ?? they haven’t been paying attention to her ?? bc they want to kiss tf out of her ??
one can’t
so
one does the next best thing
mina moves her purse so she can go over to the other side of the booth to sit beside u
reallllllllllll close to u
n just kinda,,,,looks at u ??
but right before u can ask what’s up she takes ur face in her hands n gives u a cute loving smile
n leans forward to connect her lips to urs
whoop whoop ! ur heart’s beating a million miles an hour but hers is going a million n one
it’s ?? so soft n gentle
almost as if u’re a china doll n she’s scared she’ll brake u
there’s not much movement, but she slowly pulls away only after a few seconds
when she does, u can taste the coffee from her lips lingering on urs
she looks at u again for a few seconds before she br e a ks
not like a crying breakdown
more of a hiding-her-face-n-laughing-bc-she-can’t-believe-she-actually-did-that type breakdown
also bc of the old lady at the table across from u clapping at the cute lesbos getting shy after a kiss
she shoots her head back up n stutters apologies n u’re like ??
lmao why r u apologizing ?? it was great ?? totally would do it again ??
n mina sits there like u shot an arrow thru her chest
great ?? her ?? again ?? rly ?? (´༎ຶ ͜ʖ ༎ຶ `)♡
she composes herself n flips her hair w a confident smile like lmao ikr
causing u to giggle at her
n her to giggle at ur giggle
u confirm that it was indeed cute n sweet but the baristas have been staring at y’all for the past ten minutes bc u’ve been here so long
so she’s like “o ok”
n as u leave the café hand-in-hand, u turn to her n place another lil peck on her lips as u let go of her hand n continue walking w a wink
she stands there for a good moment before coming back to reality n hurrying up to u, hitting u for teasing her in front of so many ppl ᕕ( ཀ ʖ̯ ཀ)ᕗ

It’s Pink Season! - Chapter 1 - A JoJo OC fanfic
(i should preface this by giving this fic some context -- this fic took four OCs of four different people (one of them is me!) from a JoJo discord server that i hold especially dear to my heart. i set myself the challenge of taking these characters from wildly different imaginations and trying to piece together a cohesive story where they all interact with each other. to the owners of these OCs, i hope i’ll do them justice. this fic is estimated to last 4/5 chapters, and depending on my free time, maybe i’ll do something like this again with more OCs from other people, who knows :) anyways hope you guys enjoy what i’ve got so far!)
Rémi - belongs to Quality Queen
Kyra - belongs to Kyrare
Claudia - belongs to Sweet Kurage
Unknown Figure - belongs to meee!
Chapter 1 Word Count: 1,923
------------------------------
Rémi sighed as he stared out the faintly fogged windshield of the SPW-assigned black sedan, quietly eyeing the suburban road ahead and its enveloping morning mist, delivering a sense of eerie tranquility. Despite its unimpressive, mundane exterior, the sedan's interior had been fitted with a number of luxurious modifications, though all Rémi really cared about were the body-heat-sensitive automatic air conditioner and the fruit juice dispenser.
He wasn't particularly fond of driving, especially considering it was somewhat illegal for him to (of course, the foundation had some strings pulled just for him, to his obligation), but Kyra was too lazy, and God forbid anyone tries to argue with her. As for Claudia…he didn't really want to trouble her. It's been about two weeks since he and Kyra were assigned to be her bodyguards. She always kept somewhat of a distance, but lately she seemed to be steadily warming up to them. He knew very little about the intentions of the Speedwagon Foundation, and whatever this girl meant to them was nothing short of an enigma to him.
What piqued his curiosity more, however, was the mysterious briefcase, currently sitting in the backseat next to Claudia. He and Kyra were instructed yesterday to deliver it to a safehouse uptown from Brooklyn, and that's as far as he knows about it. One thing he knew for sure, however, was that if the foundation had to contact stand users like him for a simple job like this, it meant two things: One, whatever it was in that briefcase was incredibly important, and two, there were very dangerous people who want it.
"I'm huuuuunnnnggrrryyyyyyy. Can we take a pit stop?" Kyra purred from her passenger seat in half-hearted irritance. Rémi felt his left eye twitch a little.
"We just left the hotel two hours ago. Tell me you're joking."
"Well the food was pretty shit so I kind of just ate one egg." Kyra idly tapped at the condensed window by her right ear. The tapping made Rémi's grip on the wheel tighten.
But it wasn't because he was annoyed. Moreso, he was worried. He really wanted to get this job over and done with as soon as possible, with as few breaks as possible.
"Well that's your fault, Kyra."
"What am I supposed to do now? Survive off some fuckin' fruit juice until we reach Brooklyn? Come onnn Rémi, show some pity won't ya."
Rémi's eyes darted around the environment before him. Quiet morning, quiet road. Not many pedestrians. He knew that an attack could arrive anytime. But it wasn't that he was worried about his safety. He had full confidence in his stand to protect him.
The ability to copy attributes. With just a touch, his stand could replicate the attribute of an object. It could be its material, its flexibility, its strength, even its intelligence or speed if it was alive. He knew that this ability, coupled with the ability to wear his own stand like a suit of armor, would serve as a decent defense against a whole variety of attacks.
"Can't you just hold tight for another three hours or so?" Rémi retorted dismissively. "We'll have lunch then. Also, don't fucking insult the fruit juice dispenser."
"I'll insult what I want, kid," Kyra snapped back with an accented hiss. "And look, what if we get attacked? How am I supposed to kick ass on an empty stomach? I gotta get my energy somewhere."
Rémi pursed his lips. He knew she wasn't exactly joking.
The ability to redirect and transfer energy. Kyra's stand allowed her to manipulate any energy that comes within contact of it. Heat, electricity, kinetic energy, her stand could control its flow however it wanted. Ever had Rémi witnessed her manipulating the energy of life itself, sending her own life force into allies to speed up their recovery. Couple this with her additional ability to form a metallic cat-like defensive suit around parts of her body, and she made for a lethal, well-rounded ally. Dare Rémi say, she could probably easily floor him in a matter of seconds.
If only she wasn't such a bitch to work with.
Rémi wasn't worried about her safety one bit either. What really kept his knuckles white against the steering wheel was the quiet girl sitting in the back of the sedan.
As he pulled the car to a stop at a traffic junction, he shot a glance at Claudia through the rearview mirror. He didn't want to bring her along with them for the delivery, but both he and Kyra were given strict orders not to let her leave either of their sights for any extended period of time.
"Rém… Rém, are you ignoring me? Rémiiiiiiii, come onnnn. Okay, I'm sorry for calling you a kid, alright kid? Come on, you know I get a little cranky when I'm peckish." Kyra pulled a cartoonish pouty face. "Can't we just, iunno, fuckin' grab a sandwich from a gas station nearby or something? Just one. I'll be quick. You know I'm quick on my feet. Oh come on, back me up here Dia."
"..."
"Dia?"
The young Spanish girl stayed silent, palms pressed against the door window, eyes fixated on something along the pavement. Rémi followed her gaze and found himself staring at a neatly dressed gentleman sitting on a bench. He looked middle-aged and worryingly tired.
Claudia was a stand user, that much Rémi knew. He also knew it was a rather low-power stand type. The thought of her getting stuck in the thick of a stand battle made Rémi furrow his brow in concern. Especially with that stand of hers…
That stand of hers, hovering right behind the gentleman on the bench. Intricate black and gold details shimmered, lit by the dawn light, all along the leathery texture of the lean, hunched humanoid, from its sullen black-net-veiled face, down to its smoke-like ankles that surrounded its legs in a despairing shroud of gray. It held one leathery hand, embroidered with dull gold gear patterns, against the right shoulder of the man, shuddering and trembling, of which the man took no heed of. Not that he would, he was no stand user, plus he had much more urgent things to be focused on, like the shallowing of his breaths and the tightness in his chest.
He couldn't even hear how much the ghostly figure behind him was crying.
The man gripped his shirt above his heart in excruciating pain, his gasping growing more and more rapid and desperate, attracting the attention of some pedestrians. Panic was starting to spread along the sidewalk as people rushed to his side, some screaming to call for an ambulance.
But Rémi knew better than to interfere, and so did Kyra. He shot a glance at Claudia's mortified face, one that he's gotten much more used to now, and knew that there was nothing they could do anyway.
The light turned green.
"Try not to focus on it too much, Dia." Rémi murmured in a low voice as he pressed down on the pedal and drove away from the scene.
The ability to sense fated death.
*     *     *     *     *
It was coming to noon now, and the three had been driving for hours.
"Shit… Kyra, pass me the map. I think I already passed the right junction." Rémi pursed his lips in frustration.
"No you haven't, we haven't even passed the Five Guys yet." Kyra said. "Speaking which, whatcha say about a quick drive-thru lunch? I could kill for some Five Guys right now."
"That can't be right. I've been driving way too long. Hold up, let me take a U-turn."
"Oh come on, are you really gonna drag this out? We're gonna have lunch in fucking Christmas at this point."
"I checked the surrounding vicinity of this car… there is no Five Guys within fifty meters ahead of us."
A cold, despondent voice suddenly cut through the comfortably body-heat-sensitive-automatically chilled air of the sedan. Claudia's stand had its head partially phased through the windshield, weary eyes piercing through Rémi's own. Kyra let out a curt screech in surprise.
"God fucking- DIA! Can you at least warn us before you pull up your Gloom-boy like that next time?" She hissed.
Claudia kept her gaze somewhat absentmindedly out the door window, her voice held timid. "Gloomy Sunday has his own sentience. I let him do what he wants."
Rémi cursed quietly under his breath. "That can't be right. So we did pass it. I'm turning back." He gave the wheel a sharp twist, swerving the sedan to the left side of the surprisingly empty road and began backtracking.
Except he didn't feel like he was backtracking at all.
"C’est quoi ce bordel...?" Rémi muttered as he scanned the buildings around him in astonishment. The whole environment that was just behind him moments ago suddenly felt unsettlingly unfamiliar to him. He wasn't even sure he had ever passed by this area before. But that wasn't possible… was it?
He glanced at Kyra. He could tell it wasn't just him. This wasn't some Jamais vu.
"Yo… this doesn't look right. Since when did we pass by here?" Kyra squinted her eyes as she peered around.
"...Is something wrong?" Claudia looked up at Rémi through the rearview mirror, seemingly gripping the handle of the car door a little tighter.
Rémi drew a short breath. "I'm not sure. I'll backtrack a little further…" The environment only seemed to grow more and more foreign, yet with an uncanny sense of familiarity, like everything was unrecognizable, yet perfectly normal at the same time. Rémi soon found himself unsure of which junctions and turns he took, and it was not long before he found himself completely lost, and nothing short of confused.
"Kyra, I need you to check the map."
"Dude, I have no fucking clue where we are on the map."
"Shit, none of this feels right. I swear, we couldn't have gotten lost so quickly like that…"
Suddenly, Claudia made an audible gasp. Her stand floated out from behind her, and spoke with a melancholy tone teased with an undertone of alarm.
"Rémi, Kyra, be careful. Someone is following us."
Fuck. An enemy? So soon?
Kyra already had a metallic paw forming over her right hand, tipped at the fingertips to resemble claws. "This is a fucking stand attack!? Book it, Rémi. We need to get the hell away from these buildings right now!"
"I know what I'm supposed to do!" And with that, Rémi slammed the pedal and started darting straight through the unsettlingly empty road. So long as they can get out of this complex maze of buildings, they'll stand a better chance. He needed to find the edge of the town.
Claudia suddenly gave a shriek. "Wait, Rémi! In front of you! Watch out!"
In front of the car, no further than ten meters away, what looked like the basic silhouette of a human figure started to form seemingly from nowhere, atop the silhouette of a motorcycle. As the sedan drew closer, the details of the figure gradually grew more and more distinct, almost as though it was melting into existence out of thin air. The sedan was approaching it fast. Dangerously fast.
"WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT!" Kyra screeched, reaching for the steering wheel from her passenger seat. "SWERVE, RÉMI! FUCKING SWERVE!"
"LA VACHE! SHUT UP! I'M TRYING!" Rémi swung the wheel hard to the right. "I'M TRY-"
The sedan narrowly missed the figure, only to crash headfirst into absolutely nothing.

Sidewalk Love Chapter 5
A/N: Enjoy this chapter left it on a interesting note but don’t worry I will continue from where I left off ;)
Summary: After a magical weekend its time to get back to reality
I was once again woken up by the sound of Gardner’s alarm but I could feel Gardner shift so he could turn it off. I looked up at him and he smiled at me before saying “ Sorry for waking you up again I wish we could stay here forever but its time to get back to reality.” I smiled and reached up to give him a kiss and with that we both got up and got dressed me in a simple black shirt and jeans and Gardner in his work uniform. While Gardner went to put some bread in the toaster. I tied my shoes and fixed my hair and made sure everything was in my bag while packing I picked up Gardners polo shirt that I wore the entirety of the weekend and asked “ Hey Babe!” Gardner whipped his head towards my direction and replied “ What!” I showed him his polo and asked “ Can I keep this shirt?” He nodded and made his way towards me and wrapped his arms around my waist and gave me a kiss before grabbing what he needed. We both climbed down from is boat and as I was walking to my car I asked “ Hey do you want me to drive you to deliver the mail till I get to my house?” He nodded and got in the car and we made our way to the post office so he can get his bag and the mail.We finally reached my house after about six or seven houses. I parked and grabbed my duffle bag and we both got out and walked to the front door. Gardner was looking in his bag and handed me my mail for the day and as he was handing it to me I pulled him to me and wrapped my arms around his neck and gave him a passionate kiss before letting him go but he just pulled me right back in for a kiss. We finally pulled away from each other and I said “ Well, I guess I’ll see you tomorrow babe.” He nodded and started to leave and I watched him as he walked down the street. Once I couldn’t see him I walked into my house and set my bag down in my room and went to take a shower. After the shower I got dressed and went to the kitchen to start making lunch. I spent the day with the weekend I spent with Gardner on my mind just thinking how did i find such a great guy. I couldn’t be happier with this relationship I have it was so much better than my past one. My past relationship was very abusive mental and physical at times but with Gardner I could see he isn’t like my exe Joey. Joey was someone who was just with me cause he didn’t want to be alone and would say things that hurt me like things about my body and how my mother left me when I was little. I couldn’t stay with Joey so I left him one night when he was out with friends and moved to this little town and I couldn’t be happier cause if I didn’t move here I would have never met Gardner. * 1 week later *Its been such a whirlwind romance with Gardner and I couldn’t be happier we truly love each other. Its Friday and I have no idea what to get Gardner for his birthday which is tomorrow. Cal’s throwing him a party so if I wasn’t already nervous I’m even more nervous now cause I’m meeting his friends. I’m walking down the aisles of the store looking around and saw this nautical themed photo album and decided to make him a scrapbook of us. So I grab that and some other supplies and checked out. Once I got home I unpacked the bags and printed out the photos and got started on my gift. I didn’t finish it till about 10 p.m. I wrapped the book up and set it on the coffee table and went to bed hoping that Gardner would like the present.I woke up the next morning to the sound of the gate opening and closing and footsteps walking up the driveway. I rushed out of bed and to the front door and saw Gardner putting my mail in the box and after he was done I jumped into his arms and gave him such a passionate kiss. When we finally pulled apart I finally said “ Happy Birthday Baby!!!” He smiled and chuckled  “ Thanks babe that's one way to start my birthday.” He let go of me and said “ Well I got to finish delivering the mail but I’ll see you when you come over for my party.” I nodded and gave him one last kiss and watched him walk off to continue his job. I continued on with my day till about 4 p.m thats when I had to get ready. I took a shower and got dressed in some sexy lingerie and put on a form fitting black dress that came down to my knees and a nice pair of heels. I curled my hair and grabbed my purse and Gardner’s gift along with my car keys and finally left and made my way to Gardner’s. I parked my car where I usually do and grabbed my purse and his gift and made my way to the front door. I knocked and Cal opened the door and announced my arrival. I walked thru the door and saw Gardner stand up from the couch and saw him in a blazer with a plaid shirt underneath and a yellow tie with anchors on  it. I said waved to everyone and walked up to Gardner and said “ Happy Birthday!” He smiled and nodded before saying “ Uh thanks wow babe you look great.” I blushed and replied “ Thanks baby.” I finally pulled him in by his tie and gave him a kiss and I felt him wrap his arms around me and pull me closer to him and we pulled apart and whispered in his ear “ Easy tiger we got plenty of time for that later tonight I got you another gift you can open in private.” He blushed and unwrapped his arms and we both sat down on the couch. He opened his presents from his coworkers which were some walking shoes. After he opened that gift he got to mine I was so nervous he wouldn’t like it but when he opened it he looked thru it and set it down on the table and turned to me and placed his hands on my face pulling me in for a kiss and when he pulled away he said “ I love it.” I smiled and said “ Well, I’m glad you do I put a lot of work into it.” I gave him one more kiss before we heard the door open and shut. Gardner looked over at the door and shot up and said “Paige what are you doing here?” I shifted nervously know that Paige was his ex. Paige finally replied “ Well I knew it was your birthday so I figured I would come by and say Happy birthday.” He shifted nervously and said “ Thanks.” and with that she sat down on one of the couches. Gardner sat back down next to me and took my hand. Paige noticed this and asked Gardner “ So who’s this Gardner?” He replied “ This is Lilli she’s my girlfriend.” She smiled at me and said “ Oh I didn’t know you got a new girlfriend.” He just shifted nervously and took a drink of his beer. I grabbed Gardner’s hand and led him somewhere private which happened to be a small bathroom. I sat on the counter and I asked Gardner if he was okay to which he replied with “ Um, I don’t really now I didn’t expect her to show up like this.” I placed a hand on his cheek and looked him in the eyes and said “ It will be okay you have me now,” He smiled and stepped in between my legs and said “ I’m glad I asked you out how bout we show her that I’m over her.” He leaned into kiss me when Cal popped in to tell Gardner that a girl he liked showed up to which Gardner replied “ That’s great buddy.” He rushed out and I hopped of the counter and grabbed Gardner’s hand and walked out of the bathroom.Throughout the party everyone was getting more drunk and this is the first time I’ve seen Gardner drunk. While we were sitting on the couch cuddled up with each other and we were lost in each other I noticed that Paige staring at us and as I was about to speak up and say something I felt Gardner pull me into a kiss and shifted us so that I was straddling him. I couldn’t help but get into the kiss and as we were kissing I felt Gardner put his hands further up my thighs. I heard Paige finally speak up “ Hey I get its your Birthday but can you not do that in front of us.” I got off of Gardner and stood up and straighten my dress and took Gardner’s hand and said “ Well I guess we’ll just go somewhere private, right Gardner?”  Gardner replied “ Yeah thanks everyone who came.” With that we left.

Ashes of Night [Chapter 2: Cowboy in Public]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: Arthur Morgan/Original Female Character
Summary: A young college student stumbles upon a man from the past, right in her very apartment. The man doesn't know why he's suddenly 119 years in the future, but maybe this is a second chance at a better life.
Warnings: None, really.
“Ya got any whiskey?”
“No, I don't have any whiskey. That shit is gross.”
Shelby lifted the top cover of the tank and lifted Ghost off from around her neck, putting the ball python back into his tank. The snake yawned, before slithering under his log for the night. She rubbed her eyes, smoothing her hair away from her face before she glanced at the clock. It was only midnight, but she was exhausted.
“Okay, cowboy, bedtime.” she replied, shutting the television off. “We've got a busy day tomorrow, and I need a good night's sleep.”
“I get t' sleep in a real bed?” Arthur questioned, surprised.
“What else are you gonna sleep on? The couch?” Shelby shook her head and motioned for him to follow her down the hallway. She opened the door to the guest bedroom, which she had set up after dinner was over and she took her shower. “This will be your room.”
“Very nice.” he complimented as he walked inside, sitting down on the edge of the bed.
“Your clothes are on the dresser. I found a pair of socks from when my brother left them, so they should fit.” Shelby said, leaning down to pick up Kirby, scratching the back of her ears. “If you need anything, you can knock on my door. My bedroom is right next to yours.”
When no questions were asked, Shelby shut the door behind her and went to her own room, shutting the door after her. She set Kirby down on the bed and crawled underneath the covers, setting an alarm for 9 AM before plugging her phone in to charge. Kirby meowed and made her way towards her owner, circling a few times before kneading the covers with her paws and laying down, curling up into a ball. As soon as Shelby's head hit the pillow, she was out like a light.
The next morning, Shelby woke up to her alarm and got up, dismissing the alarm. She yawned and stretched her limbs, hearing them pop before she left the bedroom. She fed Kirby and knocked on Arthur's door. “Arthur, you awake?”
When she didn't hear an answer, she opened the door and peered inside, finding the man sprawled out on the bed, the blanket only covering up to his hips. Shelby felt her cheeks flush, but she couldn't help but to look for a moment. The man was toned, and she could see that he had multiple scars adorning his torso. Despite his age, he seemed to be rather fit and had small, wry hairs covering his torso, though not too much. She shook her head and walked inside, grabbing the other pillow and smashing it onto Arthur's chest.
Said man let out a yell of surprise, and bolted up on the bed, looking around frantically. He then calmed down once his gaze landed on Shelby, and he rubbed his eyes with a groan. “Did ya really haveta do that, kid?”
“No, but I had a hunch you wouldn't wake up easily, so it was the best choice.” Shelby replied, tossing the pillow at him. “Once you wake up, get dressed please. I have to measure you.”
“Measure meh, eh?”
“Shut the fuck up.” Shelby grumbled, leaving the room. She went to her bedroom and got dressed, dressing in a pair of dark blue jeans that hugged her legs, a black tank top and a black and red plaid shirt. She fixed her hair and put black ankle high socks on, then left her bedroom. Arthur wasn't far after her, walking into the living room after she did. Shelby grabbed the measuring tape from the junk drawer and approached Arthur. “Stand still, and raise your arms, please.”
He did as requested. She measured the length of his legs, his arms and the wideness of his waist and torso. After writing down the information in her notebook, she slipped that into her bag and shoved her boots on, zipping them up.
“Alright guys, we'll be back later.” she said to her animals, grabbing her bag and her keys.
Once Arthur had slid his boots on, she let him walk outside first and she closed the door behind them, locking it. She pulled on the doorknob just to make sure it was locked, and guided Arthur to her vehicle, which was a 2013 black truck.
“This is.....way different than a wagon.” he commented, hearing a click as the vehicle unlocked and Shelby opened the driver's side door.
“Yeah,” Shelby agreed.
Arthur pulled open the passenger's side door, holding his hat onto his head and slipped inside, sitting down. He squirmed a bit, getting use to the feel of the seat on his backside. It was certainly way softer than a hard bench on a wagon.
“Okay, so when riding in a vehicle like this, you always wear your seat belt. It's to prevent you from getting killed.” Shelby spoke, reaching over him to the seat belt and guiding it over his chest and waist, clicking it into place.
“And how, per say, does a vehicle get ya killed?” he questioned.
“When a vehicle crashes into another.” Shelby replied, getting comfortable in her own seat and clicking her seat belt into place. She started up the vehicle, the radio blaring to life, still set on the country station. She had grown up on the outskirts of the town, in the country, so her life was revolved a lot around horses and the country.
“We'll stop for breakfast, then we'll head up to the mall.” she said, backing out of her parking spot and heading onto the road.
“What's a mall?” Arthur asked.
“Just a large space with a variety of stores.” she replied. “I know it's all very confusing, Arthur. Honestly, I still don't know whether to believe you're from the past or not...but....I don't know what else to do, really.”
“Trust me, kid. I'm confused too.” Arthur sighed quietly.
“Glad I'm not the only one.” she nodded in agreement.
About ten minutes went by, and Shelby pulled into the drive-thru of McDonald's. She didn't eat their food very often, but she did like their fish and chicken sandwiches. She grabbed four total of the McChicken sandwiches, two for each of them and a drink for each of them. She ate one of her sandwiches quickly, before they were on the highway, heading towards South Bend.
“What is 'his?” Arthur questioned in confusion, looking at the sandwich.
“Just eat it. You might like it.” Shelby said.
The cowboy took a bite out of the sandwich, and was immediately greeted with the seasons, and taste of well-cooked chicken. Even the lettuce and the white sauce on it made a good taste for it. He decided, hey it's not so bad, and ate the sandwich.
“Welcome to the 21st century, Arthur, where fast food is dominant in everything.” Shelby joked, turning the radio up slightly and rolling the window down. It was quite nice today, with it being about 70 degrees right now. The radio said it was going to be around 80 today, which wasn't bad at all for June. After about a half hour, she switched hands, using her right hand to drive and leaned her left arm on the windowsill.
Arthur was mostly quiet, observing the scenery as they drove past it. He enjoyed the open fields, the smell of dirt and grass, the sounds of cattle and horses. It reminded him too much of home....wherever home was right now. It wasn't long before the fields began to disappear and buildings began to take over.
“Fucking-! Nice turn signal, prick!”
Arthur glanced over to the young woman, as she grumbled to herself about 'stupid drivers'. She ran a hand through her hair, leaning back. “We're almost there.”
“Wha' happened?” he asked.
“Some dumbass cut me off at the last minute.” she shook her head, looking behind her before switching lanes. “If I ever teach you to drive, be patient. I have some road rage.”
“I'm sure if I can steer a horse, I can steer this thing.” he said.
“You'd be surprised.” Shelby said, coming up to the stoplight.
After another fifteen minutes, they pulled into a large parking lot, with several vehicles of all different kinds parked, driving around and people walking down sidewalks to get into the building. Shelby found a decent parking spot, and parked, before turning the car off. “Okay, now, this place is big, so stay close to me, okay?” Shelby said.
“How big can it be?” Arthur arched an eyebrow.
“You'll see. Just stay close to my side, and we'll be golden.” She said, grabbing her bag and her keys. Once they were both out, she locked the car and guided him across the road and onto the sidewalk. Small crowds of people walked by them, some of them giving sideway glances to Arthur.
“Also, don't be surprised if people stare at you.” Shelby said as they walked into the building.
“I'm used t' it.” he drawled.
A few times he stopped by to glance at the windows of stores, and Shelby had to actually drag him away so they could move on. They went to Men's Warehouse first and Shelby went to a store associate, asking if she could help them with helping Arthur pick out clothes to suit his style. She was ecstatic to help, and with the sizes, she was able to find clothing that would fit Arthur nicely. However, when he had trouble putting on jeans for the first time, Shelby had to help him, telling him that 'this is a one time thing'. Of course, he stuck to the 'no overalls' rule and Shelby waited outside while he dressed.
“Is he your boyfriend?” the store associate asked.
“Nah, roommate. He's a little far from home and needed somewhere to go, so I took him in.” Shelby replied.
“Aw, you're so nice.” the associate smiled.
The door to the fitting room opened and Arthur came out, wearing a pair of dark blue jeans that showed off his butt nicely, and a button up with the first few buttons undone.
Shelby felt heat creep onto her face, and the associate whistled. “Very nice.”
“Fits mighty nicely. Thank ya, ma'am.” Arthur nodded.
“No problem!” she said.
After about another half hour of being in the store, the clothes were all dragged to the counter and Shelby sighed, knowing it was going to be utter hell dragging all this shit out to the truck. Good thing she grabbed a cart at the entrance.
“Ya sure ya can afford all that?” Arthur asked the young woman.
“I'm a professional author, I can afford pretty much anything.” Shelby replied.
“Oh? You write?! What's your name?” the same associate asked as she rung up the clothes.
“Shelby Hartford.”
Two minutes later, Shelby was getting a picture taken with the associate, who had squealed and said that she loved Shelby's writing. Shelby smiled for the picture, and was appreciative that her writing was well-liked. The associate had given her a hug and told them to have a wonderful day before the two left the store.
“That was....interestin'.” Arthur commented.
“Hm.” Shelby said.
“Oh, what's that place?”
Shelby looked over to see what he was looking at, and her ears went red. Of course, he was looking at the Victoria's Secret sign. She grabbed the sleeve of his shirt and dragged him away from the store, telling him it was a 'super, secret fancy store for women'.
It was another three hours before Shelby decided they were done. She had stopped at a few stores for herself, picking up some books and some clothing. They dragged the bags out of the building and shoved them into the back of the truck, which thankfully had a cover on it. Shelby leaned against the side of her vehicle, leaning her head down on her arm. She was exhausted.
“Where we goin' now?” Arthur's voice met her ears.
“We'll go for lunch.” she replied, unlocking the vehicle and getting in. “Golden Coral isn't too far from here. You'll like it. They have a large variety of different foods.”
Lunch was good. They went home afterwards and the two dragged the bags up into the apartment, and into Arthur's bedroom. Shelby had made sure her own bags were separate. They had stopped at Wal-Mart for shampoo and those kinds of things. “Alright....so just...focus on getting your stuff put away while I make a phone call.”
Shelby went into the living room, sitting down on the couch as she called her mom. It rung two times before it was picked up on the other end. “Hello?”
“Hey, mom.”
“Hi, baby. How was the interview? You sounded great on TV.”
“Thanks. It went good, better than expected. I'm tired though.”
“I bet. Were you still planning on coming over for dinner this Sunday? Your father's off for the week, vacation.”
“Yeah, are you guys making beef and noodles?”
“When do we not make beef and noodles when you come over?” her mom laughed.
“True, listen mom.....is it okay if I bring my roommate over? He's-”
“Your roommate's a guy? Is he hot?”
“Mom!”
“I'm kidding, I'm kidding. Yes, he can come for dinner as well. Your sister is coming too.” The older woman said, and Shelby groaned. “I know, I know....but, please no fighting, okay?”
“Alright, though I can't say the same for her, though. You know how she is.” Shelby said. “Alright....I'll see you guys this weekend.”
Shelby hung up once her mother said goodbye and she tossed her phone onto the other side of the couch, just as Arthur came into sight. “Who was that?” he questioned.
“You're meeting my parents, and siblings this weekend.” Shelby replied. “We're going to make up a story. We're going to tell them that you're from Texas, and you lost your home and came here hoping for something better. I found you, and am letting you stay here. That's the story. Nothing else.”
“And they aren't gonna believe ya when ya say I'm from 1899?”
“No one is gonna believe you're from 1899, besides me.” she retorted. “My sister already thinks I'm a fucking lunatic. I don't need her thinking that about you too.”
“Jeez, protective ain't ya?”
“Fuck off.”

3AM Drive - Thru (JJK x You x The8/Minghao)// Chapter 11
MASTERLIST
"I want you back Y/N," he walked closer and took both of her hands in his. "I know I dont deserve to say that to you. But I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry. Please give me just one more chance. I promise I will spend the rest of my life showing you how you should be love and treated. I will do anything you ask me to. Just please give me a chance to try,"
"Song Y/N, in case you still dont know, I love you,"
                     -----------------------------------------------------------
"All my life, all I know is how to love him. I never thought I would know how to do anything else. Until I met you Minghao. I think I'm finally ready to learn something new..."
Y/N covered her face with her pillow and screamed. Hoping the pillow would help to muffle the sound.
She cant believe she said that to Minghao. Great, he's probably freaked out now! Right after she said that, Minghao just give her a tight hug, asks her to go get some rest and went off, saying he needs to see someone.
The first thought that comes to Y/N's head is maybe he already has a girlfriend that he didnt tell her about. Maybe he really just thinks of her as only a best friend. Maybe now he doesn't want to be close to her anymore.
Just the thought of not having Minghao as close to her as before brought tears to her eyes. She doesnt care if he doesn't feel the same way, if the thoughts of liking her just a little more than friends had never even cross his mind, all she wants now is to turn back time and wish she didn't open her stupid mouth.
After hours of rolling around, trying to fall asleep, Y/N knows its no use. She wiped her tears that never stop flowing, bundled herself up in a oversized fuzzy sweater and heads out. Maybe the night air can help ease her mind enough for her to feel sleepy.
The moment she stepped on the sidewalk, Minghao is standing right in front of her, smiling, holding brown paperbags filled with fries and chicken nuggets.
His smile dissappeared the moment he saw how red and puffy her eyes are, indicating that she's been crying. The bags are immediately dropped to the ground as he rush over to her before she can turn away.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry for making you cry," Minghao hugged Y/N tightly from the back and turned her to face him. "Please dont cry because of me. Someone like me is not worth to be cried over someone like you,"
Y/N starts to sob even louder. What is he saying? He is the most important person in her life. To her, he's worth more that life itself.
"I'm sorry for saying what I said. Please just forget it ever happen. Please dont leave me Minghao. Can we please just go back to how we use to be and forget everything that I said? As long as you are still in my life, I dont care if you dont feel the same way," Y/N cried. She doesn't care about her not so friendly feelings being out in the open anymore.
Minghao pulls her close to his chest and smile into her hair when he realize what she's crying about. Aish, stupid girl. Did she really thinks he left because of her confession?
The truth it, the moment Y/N said what she said, Minghao felt his heart is going to burst and his jaw breaking for wanting to smile so widely. But he knows before he can say anything, he needs to see his friend and hears his side of the story. So he instead asks Y/N to sleep since its already late and went to meet Jungkook.
He loves Y/N too much to take advantage of her vulnerable state. He wants Y/N to be with him because she really wants to, not because she's too used to being around him that she thinks she's in love with him.He wants her to really think about her feelings.
He meant what he said to Jungkook. His priority is for Y/N to be happy, it doesn't matter with who she's happy with. As much as he just wants to grab her, kiss her and make her his when she confessed, he knows he cant be hasty and let Y/N really sort out her feelings until she's sure that its him that she really wants.
"Y/N... I'm not going anywhere. I promised you didn't I? I promise you that I will always be here for you," he finally said to her. "You dont know how happy I am to hear you say that to me...but," Y/N cocks her head, nervously biting her lips.
"But, I want you to be sure that you really want to be with me. Because I dont think I will allow you to ever get away once you are mine,"
"Minghao, I know what I'm feeling, and its you!"
"Y/N... Jungkook is your first real love, you can never truly ever get over your first real love. And now that he's back in your life, I need you to really sort out you feelings. And once you figured it out and the answer is still me, I will be waiting for you, always," he smiles warmly at her. "In the meantime, I will always be by your side. Dont you worry, I'm not going anywhere,"
"But, Minghao-"
Minghao places a finger on her lips, hushing her.
"Song Y/N, in case you still didn't know, I love you,"
                                               ---------------------
The days that follows after that night are filled with rainbows and sunshine for Y/N.
Minghao loves me. He actually said he loves me!
Those are the only thoughts that seems to be playing in her mind. Their relationship remains the same as before. Minghao still firmly believes that Y/N needs time to sort out her feelings. Y/N, on the contrary, is trying everything she can to show that she's already sure of her feelings and she just want them to be together already. Since Seventeen's next comeback is coming very soon, their time together was cut short due to Minghao's practice and recording sessions. Lazy days watching movies together were turned into extra early breakfast session or super late movie nights. However, Minghao never fails to replace the missing time together with extra long phone and video calls and frequent daily texts.
His way of showing that he cares does nothing other than makes the flutter in Y/N's heart growing.
Y/N's days are brighter everyday, except for the days when Jungkook's variety show is filming.
Y/N did a great job of avoiding him on days she knows they have the recording at her studio. She will purposely schedule outside meetings or other shoots to keep her busy and away.
She and Jungkook haven't spoken to each other ever since he kissed her. And she's really hoping not to ever speak to him again. Jungkook, on the other hand, tried everything to find and talk to her, but to no avail.
Until today.
A major problem had occured regarding the shoot, and since it involves two of the currently biggest idol groups, its natural that Y/N herself has to get involve in order to solve whatever mess that happened.
Jungkook seized the chance and immediately caught up with her when she's trying to quietly escape after finishing the meeting.
"Y/N, wait please,"
Y/N stopped in her tracks. Her back facing him, contemplating wether she should try and run or face the situation like an adult. Minghao came into her mind and she knows in order for her to get a fresh new start with him, she needs to settle whatever this is with Jungkook.
So, she take a deep breath and turn around. She gestured for him to enter her office and close the door after he slowly follows.
"What do you have to say Jungkook?"
"Look, I know you are avoiding me,"
"You are right. I am avoiding you," Y/N honestly answered. She is done playing games with Jungkook.
"Okay. I deserved that," he sigh. "Look Y/N... I wont say I'm sorry for kissing you, because it felt right to me. But I am sorry for making you angry," he took a step closer. "Y/N, I meant what I said. I love you. I've never ever stop. Minji was a mistake. Asking for a break was a mistake, God, making you cry is the biggest mistake I've ever made in my life,"
Y/N just look at him, emotionless.
"Where are you going with this Jungkook?"
"I want you back Y/N," he walked closer and took both of her hands in his. "I know I dont deserve to say that to you. But I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry. Please give me just one more chance. I promise I will spend the rest of my life showing you how you should be love and treated. I will do anything you ask me too. Just please give me a chance to try,"
Y/N closes her eyes and sigh. She slowly release her hands from his. Those are the words that she had always wanted to hear from him, the love of her life... only its 2 years too late.
"Jungkook..." he looked up at the sound of his name. "Seeing you with Minji that first day broke me into pieces. At that very moment I realized that your excuse of being an idol to break up with me is just that, an excuse. I realized that you are not too busy for a relationship, you are too busy for me. Its not a relationship that you are afraid of distracting you, its me. I realized that if you really had love me, you would at least try to work it with me before you call it quits. You are willing to try it with Minji, but not with me. Why? Why not with me?
I asked myself that question for months Jungkook. I finally figure out that you probably dont love me enough to give me a chance. I feel worthless. I feel like I'm still not enough for someone who I gave everything to. I have nothing left to give you and I start to see all the things that Minji has and I dont. Things that makes you choose her and not me.
You left me alone in my darkest state, in the moment when I need you the most. Loving you is all that I used to know, and I used to think that I will never ever know anything else. But I have grown up now Jungkook, and I realized, there's so much more that I can learn.
Our story has ended the moment you get up and left me crying at that cafe. You already wrote the last chapter of our story. And I know that now. You can try to get me back, you can do whatever you want, I wont stop you. You know that I will always love you Jungkook, but I wont ever let myself be in love with you again,"
By the end of what Y/N is saying, Jungkook is drowning with tears. He didn't know that he had hurt the one person he loves that much. Y/N used to mean everything to him, and she still does. He wanted to deny, to explain to her that no, she's not worthless. That Minji is nothing compared to her. That she deserve all the nice things in the world and he is the stupid guy who let someone so precious. But action speaks louder than words. Everything has been done 2 years ago, and there's nothing he can say now that will unbreak Y/N's heart.
"I'm sorry Y/N. I'm so so sorry. If I could turn back time I would, and I would have never let your precious heart break," he sniffle. "I know this is a lot to ask. I know I dont even deserve this much, but can we be try to be friends? For real this time, I promise," he raised his hand to indicate that he's swearing. "Let's get to know each other again,"
Y/N chuckle through her watery eyes.
"I dont think I can handle the thought of not having you in my life at all Y/N,"
"Of course Jungkook. After all, we were best friends first," she smiles. "Hi, I'm Song Y/N," while holding out her hand. Jungkook give a small chuckle.
"And I'm Jeon Jungkook. It's nice to meet you. I hope we can be great friends," he continues. Although he's hoping to reconcile their relationship, he knows he should atleast be grateful that Y/N is still willing to be in his life.
                        ----------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 12 preview
"Hey Y/N, want to go grab a bite? I'll buy you your chicken nuggets and fries," he smiles. "Just like the old times..."
She's sad, angry, tired, betrayed, hungry, cold, heart broken... and standing right in front of her is the man who's giving her the oh so familiar bunny smile that sends her a warm feeling.
"Why not Jungkook. Just like the old times,"

A HXH scenario! Some fluffy scenario with Killua and his gf?
Now I decided with Christmas being right around the corner to mix fluff with a Christmas scenario if you don’t mind. I hope you enjoy it! 😊
The lights lining the street posts and storefronts light one by one like magic, transforming the city into a sight to behold. The lights winding around the giant and old fir tree in the city’s center clicked on one by one making the tree that was average during the day a splendor at night. The freshly fallen snow only added to the magic of tonight dusting the sidewalks and the yellowing and browning grass hiding the filth beneath with a white and pure powder. It was one of those rare nights to gawk at the city, not sharing it with anyone but that certain someone.
A young woman with pretty (Color Hair) hair pulled on a lavender knit hat over her head whose tassels swayed as she tugged it down to cover her dainty ears. After securing the hat over her head she pulls two oversized mittens over her hands to keep the cold from nipping at her fingers and freezing them. Today was an important day for her, it marked her first Christmas with Killua though it was still Christmas Eve as of right now but Christmas day wasn’t that far away.
She pushed open the glass doors of her apartment complex hurrying, the door pushing the few inches of snow that had collected on the front stope of the stairs to the side creating a small white mountain. Big white flakes fell to the ground from the sky in just as much of a hurry as the young woman to get to their destination.
The woman giggles loudly to herself and those mulling about the parking lot cleaning their cars off glance over at her. Some frown at her, other giving her a neutral expression, and the rest smile invertedly to themselves her happiness contagious to them. Unaware of those staring at her, she skips down the stairs her shoe prints quickly masked by newly fallen snow.
She reaches the parking lot and quickly jogs across it, the tassels of her hat being swept behind her as she ran. Her winter boots with the white fur cuffs and rubber sole bottoms squeak as she stops for a car to drive by before crossing the road. She brings her mittens to her face covering her mouth before exhaling and then inhaling warmer air thru her gloves, the cold air filtered.
Killua was waiting for (Name) propped against a fence at the city’s center shadowed by the giant fir tree which had become the city’s Christmas tree. He toys with a small box wrapped in red shiny gift paper with black ribbons and bow centered perfectly at the top of the box. As he stares at the gift he winds a strand of loose ribbon around his finger and starts fantasizing about what would happen when he hands the small wrapped gift to his girlfriend.
A slight blush appears across his face and he quickly pockets the gift when he hears (Name’s) boisterous voice in the distance calling for him, “Killlluaaa! Killluaaa!” He looks in the direction of her voice burying the bottom half of his face beneath the poorly knitted scarf wrapped securely around his neck.
(Name) reaches Killua and stands a few feet in front of him, bent over panting heavily, the short run stealing the air from her lungs. Killua averts his eyes feeling embarrassed that he was fantasizing about her reaction from seeing what was in the box and he mutters out, “You’re late…”
He tugs at one of her tassels on her hat, his embarrassment lingering still since he wouldn’t have any time to recover now that she was here. She grabs her hat to keep it from moving while big plumes of white smoke drifts from her open mouth each time she exhaled and between pants, she wheezes out, “Hey….stop it!”
He tugs it again being a brat although he was a grown man already in his late 20s. He stands fully up pulling the scarf up higher over his face despising the cold but deciding to come out in this weather for (Name). She wanted a date on Christmas Eve and he could hardly refuse her not when she gives him that look……
She slowly straightens her back holding her chest having difficulties still from being winded, “Not late….and you’re wearing…… that…. scarf I….. made you…” Killua could feel his face renew with fresh embarrassment, she always found a way to embarrass him no matter what and he mumbles under his breath, “Of course I’m wearing it, dummy.”
Her cheeks puff up a bit giving her a pouty look, one side of her lips curling up. It was a strange habit of hers whenever she was displeased but he didn’t do anything wrong from what he knew as he took notice what she was wearing and how she looked from the corner of his vision.
She places both hands on her hips tapping her fingers, the gloves moving up and down as a result since her fingers were nestled in the knitted fabric staying warm. She speaks clearly her lungs fully recovering from her short run, “Are you saying something snotty?” she asks thinking he did because she caught him in the past muttering mean things about her.
He becomes flustered and pulls the scarf from his mouth to speak, “Of course I like the scarf you knitted that’s why I’m wearing it and don’t make me repeat myself a third time!” She lets the information sink in for a few seconds before gleaming a smile displaying her perfect teeth. His breath catches in his throat, awestruck because just like how she easily embarrassed him, she always manages to take his breath away each time she smiled.
He felt the roller coaster of emotions spin through him from his stomach feeling like they had butterflies in it trying to free themselves to his heart thumping and beating uncontrollably fast making him wonder if he was going to die of a heart attack from eating literal garbage each day.
Before he knew it and could react she grabs a hold of his jacket yanking him down to her height. Her hair joins the tassels and dance in the direction of a small gust of wind that had come out of nowhere. His eyes now big focus on her his red blush more vibrant on his pale skin from her actions.
He starts speaking fast when her lips get closer to his face, “Hey what are you doing?! We are in public you know!” Snowflakes which were previously landing on his hair land on his face from the wind, the sudden cold making him squeeze his eyes shut.
She tilts her head and presses her lips against his own. The kiss wasn’t hungry or lust filled but a happy and romantic filled gesture. She lets her lips linger for a few seconds the warmth of her lips on his pleasant before she decides to pull away. In the midst of pulling away she whispers so only they can hear amongst the people who have gathered at the city’s center to admire the fir tree adorn with lights, “Happy pre-Christmas Killua.“
Killua opens his eyes slowly once the wind died down and he notices a blush dotts (Name) face and her glove hands hold each other in front of her stomach. She fidgets in front of him and he smiles happily, this was the woman he wanted to marry. She was far more beautiful than any fairy tale princess or any described angel from Heaven.
“I have something to ask you, (Name),” he states his voice calm and his tone loving and warm. He reaches over grabbing ahold of her right mitted hand while dropping to one knee. He retrieves the small box he been holding on for the past month and places it in her palm. “Open it and tell me your answer,” he says softly continuing to hold her hand.
(Name) bring her left hand to her mouth and pulls the glove off with her teeth before taking the glove and stuffs it in her winter coat’s pocket. Her hand shaking slowly takes one strand of ribbon and pulls it. Killua stares up at her patiently waiting, scared how she will answer. He already knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her but did she feel the same about him. He was anxious he might be rushing things, they only knew each other a year….
The ribbon on the box comes undone, the world seemed to be watching the two lovers amidst the gently falling snow. Her hand shakes and she removes the top of the box, the ribbon fell to the ground by their feet making an impression in the snow. There she sees an engagement ring in a box, the same one she admired from the window of the jewelry store they passed on one of their dates a few months ago.
She makes a surprised face, her own heart erratic with excitement, ‘B-dump, B-dump, B-dump.’ Her heart is racing so fast she brings the hand she used to open the present to her chest, she couldn’t believe this was happening to her.
“Will you marry me?” He asks staring up at her his eyes and voice serious. (Name) stares at him the scene around them like some movie come to life and she answers, “(Yes or No)”

A Missus For Christmas
Jeffrey Dean Morgan x Mallory @mal4789
This is 3200 words and NSFW, so under a cut!
I knew you wanted to do something special for Christmas. Give back to those less fortunate is what you said. Always the giver my girl is. So I found a children’s home not too far from my farm that could use a bit of holiday cheer.
“So sweetheart, are you all ready?” I asked you over the phone. You were on your way to the airport, catching a flight into NY to spend Christmas on the farm. “All ready for a good ol’ fashioned Christmas on the farm. We’ve got a shit load of snow, hope you’ve packed your boots!”
“Yes, Jeff, my boots, my parka, mittens, hat, everything you need in the winter in NY. I’m coming prepared!”
“That’s my sweet girl. Oh, and Mallory, tonight we have plans. The rest of our time is free. To do anything we like!”
“I know what that means, Mr. Morgan! The low voice, the growl. You are insatiable!” You giggled, I can almost see the blush growing on your cheeks thru the phone.
“Whenever I’m around you, you know I can’t help myself! It’s not my fucking fault!”
“You are positively too much my love! Well, I’m going to let you go as I’ve reached the airport. Remember, I’ll just take a car from the airport to the farm, no need for you to pick me up.”
“Mmhmm, safe travels my sweet one.”
As I made my way to the airport to pick you up, which I knew you would lecture me about, I couldn’t believe this was real. A year ago my life was a fucking shambles. My career was right on track, but my personal life was in the fucking crapper. Then you, my sweet Mallory dropped into my lap like a miracle sent from above. I don’t know where I would be today if it weren’t for you.
I stood by the luggage carousel, holding a sign I had made special. I was nervous, would you notice it? And if you did, would you hate it? Would you be upset? Shit, I overthink things.
I saw you heading to the carousel, stepping to the front to look for your suitcase. You hadn’t noticed me, making me even more nervous, my palms sweating so much I almost dropped the sign. You grabbed your bag, turning and heading my way.
You spotted me, your gorgeous green eyes widening. Were you going to be pissed I came when you said not to? But my fears weren’t realized when you dropped your suitcase running straight at me. I had to drop the sign as you threw yourself into my arms.
“Whoa, baby! You almost knocked me on my fucking ass!”
“I missed you soooo much!” You were nuzzling into my neck, your legs and arms twined around me tightly. I took it all in, the feel of you in my arms again. Fucking heaven.
You pulled away, jumping down. I was bending down to pick up the sign when you slapped my, hard.
“I told you not to come get me! I could have taken a car! You stubborn stubborn man!”
I rubbed my arm. “I’m sorry, I know. But shit sweetheart I just couldn’t fucking wait!”
“I see those puppy dog eyes, those damn dimples. You’re forgiven. This time!”
You turned, heading to grab your luggage. I took it and we headed to the car.
“So, plans tonight? It’s not something fancy is it?” You questioned me in the truck.
“Nope, not fancy. The local children’s home is having a Christmas open house. They’ll be singing carols, serving holiday treats, you know all the Christmasy jazz. We need to pick up some presents to bring.” I looked over to see if I could judge how you felt about my plans. You were just reaching for my hand that was on the shifter.
“You are such a big softie, Negan!” You started giggling. A sound I wanted to hear until my dying day. “I truly love this idea, it’s perfect!”
We stayed quiet the rest of the ride home, just enjoying being together, our fingers staying intertwined. I kept wondering if you had noticed the sign and maybe was upset with it.
After making a stop to pick up some presents for the kids, we finally arrived at the farm. I ran around to the passenger side to help you out.
“Always the gentleman, Mr.Morgan!” You took me hand, stepping down out of the truck. “Smell that?”
 “Cow manure?” I snickered.
Slapping my arm you glared up at me. “No, fresh air! Farm air, I missed this so much!”
“Get used to it darlin’. Let’s get you settled in. We don’t have too much time before we have to head out.”
After bringing your bags in, saying hello to the pups who missed you terribly, we both collapsed on the couch. You cuddled into my side, both of us sighing in contentment.
 “Jeff. Jeffrey, wake up!”
“Why you poking me girl?” I groaned.
 “It’s 6:30, we’re late!!!!”
We both jumped up from the sofa, running to the bedroom to change. We quickly got dressed, fed the dogs and jumped into the truck, heading to the children’s home. The snow was lightly falling, making the drive a bit slower than normal.
“Figures the fucking snow would decide now is the perfect time to fall.” I grumbled.
You leaned over, rubbing my hand. “It’s beautiful! And it makes all the Christmas lights and decorations even more pretty. Stop being a grinch Jeffrey!” You giggled.
I smiled at you, bringing your hand up to lightly kiss each finger, stopping at the third one. I was wondering how you would take to wearing a ring one day. You’d told me you were always losing any jewelry you wore so most days preferred to go without.
We got to the home with time to spare. You were like a little girl, oooing and ahhhing over the decorations. You joined in with the kids, helping them decorate cookies for Santa, singing Christmas carols, and playing with all of their new toys.
“Thank you so much for this Jeff! This was the best Christmas Eve I’ve ever had!” You brought your arms around my neck, urging my face downward, our lips meeting in what was an unfortunately too quick kiss.
“We will be finishing that when we get home.” I winked at you, pulling you tightly to my side.
After we left, we stopped in town, first stop my candy store to enjoy some dessert. And then a special surprise.
“Dis iz purr heaven!” You spoke with a mouthful of pastry. I leaned over, wiping crumbs off of your chin. “Oops, sorry!” You laughed.
“You’re adorable when you talk with mouthful.” I leaned over, taking a hold of your free hand. “I love you Mallory, more and more everyday.” I was beginning to feel the nervous jitters returning. Fuck, don’t notice! Don’t notice!
Unfortunately, you did. “Are you okay, Jeff? You seem nervous about something?” You brought your hand up to my face, running your fingers down my cheek. “I love your beard this length, just enough scruffy hair to feel, but not so much to be mistaken for Santa!” You snickered, your beautiful green eyes never leaving mine.
When we were done, we stepped out onto the sidewalk, our coffees keeping our hands warm while we strolled down the street.
“It’s so beautiful here, I can see why you chose to move here from L.A.. The people, the buildings, the natural scenery, it’s perfect!”
“Think you would enjoy living here?” I stopped, turning to face you.
“I would, I mean who wouldn’t?”  Suddenly, you turned, seeing the store we were in front of. “Ohhh, Jeff, look! It’s a bookstore. With books! Can we go in? Please?”
I smiled, realizing my plan was working. “Sure we can sweetheart.”
As we we stepped inside, I winked at Simon, the store owner who was standing behind the counter, who winked back. You darted quickly to the books, looking at them reverently.
“Look at all these first editions, signed copies, and boxed sets! It’s a freaking dream come true!”  You were adorable all excited looking over each one. Until you stopped, spotting the one.
I was shaking like a leaf, wondering how this would all turn out.
“OH MY GOD!!! JEFF, LOOK!!!!” You turned to grasp both my arms. “It’s a signed copy of my favorite!!!!”
Oh shit, are you looking at the right one?! What if I was wrong?! Oh fuck.
And then you pointed right at it, and I let out a breath I’d been holding in for so long.
“It’s The Other Boleyn Girl, it’s a first edition and signed by Philippa Gregory!!! Oh my god!!! Can you believe it?!”  I was as smiling, not just because my plan was working, but because you were so happy. “Can I look at it?” You tentatively places a finger on the binding, running down it.
“Pull it out sweetheart, look at it.” I was practically buzzing. My body twitching from nervous excitement.  As you pulled it out, it opened up. And there it was, the envelope Simon had placed inside for me.
“What the…Jeffrey, it has my name on it?”
“Open it up Mal, it must be for you.” I smiled, moving to stand in front of you.
“Mallory, I know we haven’t known each other a long time, but for me it feels like a lifetime. You came to me when I thought about giving up, was life even worth it anymore? But you made me feel again. I’ve never laughed, played or loved as hard as I have with you. Yes, we’ve had our differences, but isn’t that what makes life all the more interesting? But our likenesses definitely outweigh the differences. You truly are my better half, my best friend, my soulmate. So, if you would do me the honor and become my wife, my Christmas wish will come true. I love you my sweet sweet girl. ~Jeffrey.”
You looked up from the letter, tears in your eyes and a look of pure love. I was went down on my knee, holding the antique ring I had found that I felt was perfect for you.
“Will you marry me, fucking flaws and all?”
“Oh my god, YES, you big sexy handsome goof!”
Just as I finished placing the ring on your finger, thanking all the gods that it fit perfectly, you threw yourself into my arms, kissing my face all over.
As we made our way to the front of the store, you quickly bolted back, grabbing the book.
With the sweetest smile you asked “Can I still get this?”
“Take it, Merry Christmas!” Simon laughed.
“Thank you!” You threw yourself into my arms. “Carry me to the truck!”
I sighed. “Great, bossing me already and we’re not even married yet!” I winked at Simon who was shaking his head at both of us.
“Take me home Mr. Morgan. We have some celebrating to do!”
I drove as fast as was possible given the less than stellar driving conditions. But I wanted, needed, to have you in my arms.
When we arrived back at the farm, I jumped out, flying around to your side, helping you out.
“Hold on sweetheart!” And with one movement, I picked you up, throwing you over my shoulder and running through the snow and into the warmth of the house.
“Ohhh, Jeffrey, put me down!!! We have to take our boots and coats off!”
“No need to sweetheart!” And I carried you thru the house to the upstairs. Making our way to the bed, I gently placed you down. “Welcome to our bedroom, Mrs. Morgan!” I took off my coat, throwing onto a chair. “Can I take your coat?”
“I’m not Mrs. Morgan yet.” You took your jacket off handing it to me. “But I do have to say I like the sounds of that!” You slipped out of your boots, bringing your feet up under your legs.
After I put your coat with mine, I took my boots off and headed back to you, kneeling beside the bed. “Is this real darlin’? Did you really agree to marry me?” I reached up to touch your face, placing a loose piece of your brown hair behind your ear. I brought my other hand up, cupping your face, my thumbs stroking your cheeks delicately.
You held your left hand up, palm away from me. “Do you see that breathtaking ring on my finger? Only one person would ever be able to do that. And he happens to live on a gorgeous farm. And plays the part of a sexy psychopath on TV.” You moved towards me, our foreheads touching.
“You think I’m sexy?!” I growled.
“Well, technically I said a sexy psychopath. And I was talking about Negan.” You looked down, a smirk appearing on your lips.
“Oh, so you think Negan’s sexy, but not me?  Are you playing coy with my little girl?” I moved my hands, placing them on either side of you on the bed. “Wanna say that again?”
“That I think Negan’s sexy? But I do!”  You giggled.
“That’s it!” I leaned over you, causing you to fall back onto the bed.
 “Jeff?!”
“Oh ho ho, there’s no Jeff here, doll. Only me!” I ran my hands up your tights covered legs, under your dress reaching your waist. I proceeded to grab the waistband, pulling your tights down in one swift movement, throwing them to the side. Moving up your body, I whispered. “Are you okay with this?” Not wanting to kill the mood, but I had to be sure.
“Yes, I’m okay.” You panted breathlessly.
“Well, well, well. Do you think we might be needing a visit from Lucille sweet girl?” I ran my hand under your dress, my fingers slithering slowly up towards my favorite destination.
“Jeff…Negan,” you giggled. “As much as I am enjoying my time with Negan, I mean, it’s beyond hot, I just want you. Badly.”
That was all it took, I stood up, my shirt, pants, boxers and socks quickly vanishing. You stood up on the bed, stepping out of your dress and standing in front of me, in just the sexiest set of underwear I’d ever seen.
“Fucking beautiful Mallory.” You stepped closer to the edge of the bed, wrapping your arms around my neck. “You take my breath away every time.”
“I bought this set just for tonight, do you like it?”
“I do, but I’d love it even more off of you.” I reached around you, unhooking the bra and letting it fall to the bed. My hands moving around to squeeze each plump breast, my cock quickly rising. “Baby, I need to be in you, now.”
You stepped back, quickly laying down and motioning me over. “Take me Jeffrey.”
I climbed up the bed, my hands smoothing over the silky skin of your legs. Reaching your waist, I slid my fingers in the band of your lacy panties, pulling them down in a quick jerky movement. I wanted to run my fingers over you, wanted to let me tongue roam thru your damp folds, nipping at your hardening nub, to taste your sweetness. But I needed to be in you. So I moved hastily up on top of you, my solid dick in my hand, ready. At the right angle, I entered you in one mighty thrust.
 “Ohhh my…JEFF!!!!”
“S’ok sweetheart…” I couldn’t talk, didn’t want to. I just wanted to experience this with all of my senses. Feeling my cock so deeply seated in you, your walls fluttering around me, causing such unbelievable sensations. My hands touching every part of you, starting at your perfect hips, moving to your slim waist, reaching your perfect round breasts, rolling each nipple into tight peaks. I could smell your perfume, mixed with the smells of Christmas and your own pure essence, a smell I could never get enough of. I leaned down to join our lips, my tongue snaking inside to join yours. Our flavors mixing into one incredible taste. Opening my eyes to see your gorgeous green ones gazing up at me.
 “I love you Mallory…god I love you.”
 “I love you too Jeffrey.”
I kept up my pace, but was easily reaching my peak briskly. I faltered a bit but your hips pushed up, keeping the same pace. Not wanting to lose my balance and fall on you, I kept one hand firmly planted on the bed, the other exploring your body on the way down. Reaching your hypersensitive clit, I rubbed it gently, barely touching it.
 “Ohhh GOD JEFF!!!”
You came, you pulsed around my cock, twitching, jerking. You were clawing at my back, nipping at my neck. You were growling, moaning, everything causing me to reach my own peak.
 “FUCK MAL!!!!!”
“I’m coming again…ohhh!”
As your second orgasm came you began squeezing me tightly, my cock reaching into your highest point, your pussy wringing me dry. We continued with minute thrusts, working through our highs, calming our super sensitive bodies. I knew I couldn’t hold my own weight much longer, so I flipped us over, slipping out of you, making us both groan.
I kept my arms tightly around you, trying to stop your shivers. I knew they were more from the lovemaking than being actually cold, but I pulled the covers over us both anyway. I began rubbing your back with one hand, the other stroking your damp hair, doing both actions with a light touch.
“Thank you for a wonderful Christmas Eve Jeff. And for my breathtakingly beautiful ring. I love it.” You had brought your hand up, gazing lovingly at the ring.
“When I saw it, I just knew it was you.” I kissed the top of your head. “Sweetheart, did you notice the sign I was holding at the airport?” I had to know if you had noticed it or not.
“Sign? You were holding a sign? No, I didn’t see it, why were you holding a sign, silly?” You giggled, looking up at me.
“It said Welcome Home Mrs. Morgan. I was kinda hoping you’d catch it and I wouldn’t have to be so fucking nervous with all the proposal stuff. I was fucking scared shitless girl!”
You smiled up at me, patting my cheek. “You are too sweet, too adorable, and too damn funny! I adore you Mr. Morgan and I cannot see myself anywhere but by your side for the rest of my life.”  I could see your eyes turning watery, as were mine.
“Fuck baby, I see the same thing. Me with you, forever. You’re stuck with me. And Negan!” I sniffed, but quickly started laughing.
 “Merry Christmas, Mr. Morgan.”
 “Merry Christmas, Mrs. Morgan.”

i know i requested something last night but i hope it's okay if i have another one, i just love your writing! something like it's junior year and richie saved up for a car so he takes eddie out on a date and it's just super fluffy n cute? thanks sm!
(You can send me prompts anytime!)
~Richie slid until his back was pressed against the back of his car. His car. He smirked and took a warm puff of his cigarette. Sitting at the edge of the El Camino’s bed was Beverly, arm draped over the ledge, sucking on her own cig. She was nodding to herself and staring up at the early sky. “So what do you think?” Richie finally asked.
Beverly licked her lips and rolled her cigarette to the opposite side of her mouth and slid it from her lips to speak. “A little junkie…but you finally got your car Rich!” She jetted her leg out to kick him. Richie couldn’t hold back his grin as he crawled over to sit next to her.
“Yeah my change jar is empty now.” Richie sighed and Beverly chuckled and tilted her head back, cigarette sticking out like a chimney.
“God, the seller must’ve hated you.”
Richie shrugged and rolled his lips together. He hadn’t paid entirely in change but maybe a good chunk. He’d been working his ass off at the shitty drive-thru place to get enough paychecks for it. He started to tap his fingers anxiously against the ledge of the bed. “When are you picking him up?” Beverly asked, shaking her cigarette over the edge. Richie watched the ash fall and flurry to the ground. Richie checked his watch.
“Twenty minutes…you think he knows it’s a date?” Richie asked nervously and Bev laughed again.
“Eddie could possibly be a little oblivious…so be a frickin’ gentleman, or I’ll pound ya.” Beverly unlatched the bed’s door and hopped down, pulling her shorts down. Richie chuckled and puffed his last bit of his dead cig. “Later Tozier.” Beverly called over her shoulder as she shoved her hands into her pockets and traveled down the sidewalk and out of sight.
At her departure, Richie realized the depths of his nerves.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Headlights flooded into the homey, but dead Kaspbrak household. Mrs. K herself was snoring up a storm in their old nearly broken arm chair. Eddie was hoping down the stairs, shoving his foot into his shoe along the way. Off the last step, he landed with both feet on the ground, both shoes on. He hear a distant honk and held back a smile. He quickly threw his front door open and stood on his porch, door shutting softly behind him. Richie was standing outside the car but his arm was reaching inside to honk the horn. “You couldn’t come to the door?” Eddie shouted with a little sass but Richie just hopped over.
“Hey, I’m proud! Isn’t she a beaut’ Eds?”
“She?” Eddie chuckled as he followed Richie to the car. Richie nodded.
“You always call cars she Eds. “ He shrugged and led Eddie to the passengers side. Eddie ducked inside as Richie went back around and got inside on his side, sliding on the bench.
“Ahhh a masculinity thing.” Eddie nodded and leaned back. “I never got the whole, calling cars by girls names.”
Richie turned his body backwards to look out the back window as he pulled out of Eddies driveway. “Would you drive a car named Horrice, Eddie?” he chuckled and Eddie shook his head with a smile.
“Yeah cause every guy name is ugly. It just makes it seem like you’re in a relationship with your car. Why does it have to have a name anyway?”
“Well Eds, I’m as gay as the day is long so you shan’t worry about me dating my car just because she’s a girl.” Richie threw the comment casually and it made Eddie freeze, arms clenched in his lap. “And I guess any name can be used for either a boy or a girl, is a name specific-?”
“You’re gay?” Eddie finally squeaked and interrupted Richie. Said boy, turned his head as he pulled to a stop at the stoplight, the red light fuzzing in his peripheral vision. He licked his lips and shrugged.
“Yeah. You didn’t know that?” Richie chuckled awkwardly and scratched his chin, thankful that driving gave him an excuse not to look at his friend. “That makes this date a lot more awkward then I planned.”
“This is a date?!” Eddies voice squeaked again and Richie felt his stomach drop slightly, he’d been fearing that he hadn’t been as straight forward as he’d thought he was being when he asked Eddie out.
“Well, it doesn’t have to be if you don’t want it to be. But I mean that’s what I intended when I asked you to have dinner with me…. alone, Eds.” Richie gave him a look. Eddie shook his head.
“We hang out alone all the time, how was I suppose to know the difference?” Eddie frowned as Richie pulled into the lot of some Dairy Queen that looked over some small body of water. He pulled backwards into a space with focus.
“Well for one, When you said yes, I said, ‘Good it’s a date!’ “ Richie laughed and parked the car, turning his body to Eddie.
“I thought that was just a weird joke of yours, you do that all the frickin’ time, Rich.” Eddie rolled his eyes and leaned back in his seat as Richie jetted his hand out to change gears. Eddie glanced up with a small worried expression. “What are you doing?” he asked.
Richie shrugged. “Taking you back home….” He looked at him as if it was obvious.  “I mean, you’d rather be there then on a date with me, right?”
Eddie bit his lip and eventually shook his head with a wide smile and opened his car door. “I’m expecting you’re paying then right?”
Richie grinned. “I am a gentleman, Eds!” He hurried after him and into the Dairy Queen.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Despite that the intention was dinner, Richie and Eddie had left the joint with two blizzards and fries to share. They sat in the El Camino’s bed, looking over the small body of water. The radio was going on quietly in the background with the windows rolled down. “So, hows the date?” Richie asked with a small grin and Eddie blushed, stabbing his spoon into his frozen treat.
“Fine, for having it be with such a trashmouth.”
Richie put on a smug grin “Hey, I’ve been a good boy.” He chuckled and dipped a fry into his blizzard.
“For now, maybe.” Eddie smiled and kicked Richie’s leg. Richie took it as a good time as any to scoot closer, and set his arm around Eddie’s shoulders. The smaller boy looked up with probably the single most adorable smile Richie had ever seen in his life. “How’d you know I was gay?”
Richie set down his blizzard. “Didn’t. I just winged it. I thought you saying yes was a good sign but figuring in the fact that you didn’t know this was a date…” Richie trailed off and looked at the smaller boy under his arm.
“I think the answers pretty straight forward now, isn’t it?” Eddie asked with a expectant smile as he sat comfortably under Richie’s arm.
“I think its the opposite of straight forward, Eds.” Richie chuckled and Eddie shoved him to his left with laughter he couldn’t hold back. Their laughter calmed down and Richie scratched his nose.
“Y’know I saved up all my nickels and dimes for tonight.” Richie looked down at Eddie who looked confused. “The car, I mean…I saved up for the car so I could take you on a real date.” Richie stumbled slightly on his words and Eddie blushed.
“You didn’t have to do that to get me to go on a date with you, Richie.”
“Well you didn’t even willingly agree to this one, so I wouldn’t know how to get you on one, would I?” Richie poked Eddie teasingly, Eddie slapped his hands away with a small smile.
“Just fuckin’ be there, Tozier and I’ll be there too. cause God help me, I enjoy your company and would very much like to go on as many dates as you have to offer.” Eddie pinched him and Richie giggled.
“Ok, would you like to go out again tomorrow night…as a date?” Richie spoke the last word slowly and carefully inflected it just to tease him.
Eddie shook his head. “Yes, you dipshit.” He flicked his red spoon at him and Richie stuck out his tongue.
The date ended up better then Richie could’ve planned it.

Watching my birth mother through my rear view mirror: An Adoptee's Perspective
I was driving thru town ( Charlottesville) to go to a radio interview. I saw a lady crossing the street and realized that it was my birth mother P. I was running a little late but wanted to say hi. It almost felt like a natural instinct to do so. So I pulled in to the parking lot she was standing in. She was talking to this young looking guy. Her friend ( this old guy) was sitting on a bench across the street watching. I watched her for a moment. She had a light pink jacket on. I had never seen her in pink before. I thought about saying hi but I thought what if she talks my head of which I don't mind....or asks me for money or a ride ....So I prayed that she didn't see me and I drove away.
I felt awful about it. To see the woman who gave birth to me on the sidewalk and not able to say hi...that's real pain. To see her living her life and to know that my life is what it is ( not in a negative...mean way) because of her choices...creates this deep, overwhelming sadness. I think a lot about how things could have been...or should have been. I think about how things are now and all of it feels so weighted.
How does it feel to see your birth mother ten feet in front of you and not be able to talk to her?
It freakin sucks!

“SunShine and Fluffles” Bing & Oli Fluff p2
gunna try for a part two, also I’ll actually put in the proper read more thing this time xD "Golden Retriever - Canis lupus familiaris."
Bing: *he walked away from the office building a bit dejectedly, Blue wasn't particularly mean or anything he just really hated to disappoint him and generally disliked getting in trouble, not only that but he seemed to have forgotten his favorite skateboard somewhere and it was now missing, he sighed heavily and walked through the park to clear his mind*
Oli: *he just so happened to be in the park as well, testing out a skateboard he had found... he couldn't remember where he got it from.. and it was hard to stay on.. he rolled forward at a very slow pace, hands out to the sides as he tried to stay balanced, upon hearing a heavy sigh he looked up* “Oh..  Canis lupus familiaris..”  Bing: *he looked up from his thoughts, brows furrowing in confusion* “What?” *he looked over the speaker and immediately recognised Oliver.. and his board* “Hey that’s my board!” *he pointed to it, his expression immediately brightened, he hadn't lost it forever at least* Oli: *he flailed his arms as he suddenly lost balance on the board* “I- whoa!” Bing: *he stepped forward quickly and caught hold of him, stepping one foot on the board to stop it’s slow forward momentum* “easy there, you aight bro?” Oli: *he grinned up at him* “I’m alright, thanks!” Bing: *his face flushed a bright sunny yellow and he quickly righted him and released him, then ran a hand through his hair and laughed a bit awkwardly* “Oh g-good”  Oli: *he leaned down and picked the board up, presenting it to him with a grin still on his face* “Here’s your board, you left it out in front of the office building”  Bing: *he grinned sheepishly and took the board* “Thanks..Did you.. uh were you interested in learning how to ride it?” *he shifted his feet nervously wondering if Oli would suddenly turn on him and put him down for being interested in such a childish sport* Oli: *his face brightened with a huge grin and he clapped his hands together* “Yes! will you teach me?”  Bing: *he immediately relaxed and grinned* “Sah dude!” *he dropped the board back onto the ground and stopped it from moving with his foot again, then he stepped to the side and gestured to it* “First let’s see what you got dude” Oli: *he looked Bing over, the other android was practically wiggling with excitement and he giggled, again he was reminded of a little puppy... he looked up at him, okay big puppy... and he stepped gently onto the board, arms immediately going out a bit to balance him* Bing: *he shook his head in amusement* “No wonder you’re so off balance, you’re footing is all wrong dude!” *he leaned down and gently adjusted his footing on the board, then standed up straight and took hold oh his shoulders to adjust how he was turned on the board* “Try it like that my dude”  Oli: *with a few pointers here and there from Bing he was eventually able to ride along at a pretty good pace, laughing with a bit of nervousness and glee, he skated down the park sidewalk and only had to wiggle around a little to keep his balance, however Bing had yet to teach him how to turn.. or stop.. and there was a trashcan approaching quickly, he braced for impact*  Bing: *he laughed with him and jogged next to him, keeping pretty close pretty easily, he noticed the trash can and immediately ran ahead a bit to gently grab him and pull him to a stop, pulling him off the board in the process, the board continued forward slowly and hit the trashcan, he laughed* “Not bad kid! we need to teach you how to stop though” Oli: *he blinked a few time in surprise as he felt himself being lifted away from the board with ease, then he looked up at Bing who still held him gently in his arms* “th-thanks..” *unbeknownst to him his face flushed a slight golden yellow* Bing: *he looked down at him and his grin slowly faded, his own face flushing slightly yellow* wow he has such pretty eyes... *his face flushed fully at his own thoughts and he pressed his lips together in surprise* WAIT WHY DID I JUST THINK THAT AHHHH Oli: He looks like a puppy when he’s happy too.. *he smiled slightly then looked a bit curiously at him when he saw him get flustered*  Bing: *he set him on his feet and gently release him then turned away and pressed his hands to his cheeks* oh my goood why does my face feel so hot? What if I did something weird.. he gave me a weird look just then.. ah now he thinks I’m weird!  Oli: *his curious look turned to one of concern and he reached over to put a gentle hand on his back* “are you alright Can- er Bing?” Bing: *he turned around quickly and laughed a bit loudly* “I’m fine haha why wouldn't I be!?” *then he looked a bit confused* “What did you almost call me?” Oli: *it was his turn to laugh a bit embarrassedly this time, though his was quieter and softer* “Canis lupus familiaris..” *he took a step back and pulled his shirt down, shyly adjusting it a bit* Bing: “Wha..” *his right eye lit up yellow as he auto searched what it meant* “G-Golden retriever??” Oli: *he frowned suddenly and took a step back, lowering his head a bit* “I’m sorry it’s just.. you kind of remind me of a puppy.. I didnt mean it in an offensive way..”  Bing: “Oh” *he ran a hand through his hair, he wasnt sure what to say or how to feel about that* “I mean.. if you didnt mean it in a bad way.. I guess.. it’s fine??” Oli: *he smiled up at him immediately* “You aren't mad? Bing: “Of course not, why would I be?” Oli: *he shrugs* “Some people get angry or upset when I compare them to animals..” Bing: “Do you do that often then?” Oli: “All the time actually” *he brushed a bit of hair back from his face as he looked at the ground, avoiding looking at him* Bing: “Well... why?”
Oli: *he shrugged and reached over to grab his arm, looking shy and awkward* “I just.. like animals I guess” Bing: “Well.. alright” *he didnt want to admit that he had a deathly fear of most animals and thus tended to avoid them*  Oli: “A-Anyway, you were going to teach me how to stop?” *he smiled at him slightly* Bing: *his face cleared and brightened with a grin* “Sah dude!” *he walked over to get the board and bring it back* “So what you have to do is..”  *Bing and Oliver stayed together in the park until sundown, Bing teaching Oliver all the tips and tricks he knew about skating and showing him several different advanced tricks, to which Oli would always applaud happily causing Bing to flush with joy, he was so unused to this sort of kind and gentle attention that he couldn't help but be drawn to Oli for showing it to him, when they finally parted ways they did so reluctantly with the promise to “hang out” again sometime in the future*  I lowkey started loosing inspo part of the way thru but here’s the 2nd part I guess xD
