The Folk tale of Maa Durga and Simanta depicted in this Pattachitra : Simanta was a dedicated devotee of Devi Durga. But Maa Durga wanted to take test of his devotion. She showed herself to Simanta when he was walking on the village path. Simanta was very happy and shared this info with the king. But when king came Durga played hide and seek so king couldn't see her. King was angry and kept Simanta in Prison. Then many incidents took place. Maa Durga continued to play hide and seek. Finally when the king pronounced death sentence for Simanta , then Devi Showed herself to the King and to the whole world. Every body paid respect to Simanta. Devi Durga blessed Simanta.
This is a story where the supreme Goddess is defeated by her devotee by his devotion. This folk tale teaches us that what (even God) can not be won by power can be won by love and devotion.
