my cat (orange) and i have this ritual where i hold out a piece of food im eating for him to sniff then Disregard (im just being polite) and im so used to doing it that i held out my banana to my mum's pugalier (abomination, backhanded slap in god's face, etc etc) and he throated it immediately :(

A jug dog breed is a pug and a Jack Russel terrier, it's one of the main candidates for trying to elongate the pug's snout again so you see them called retro pugs as well sometimes

It's a noble and admirable goal but idk about that temperament combo

Yeah if I was gradually breeding the pug's snout back into existence, like if I'd run the pugs through King Charles Spaniels first (pugaliers...)--- Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are cuddle bugs and the chillest small dogs I can think of--but then the coat texture would probably put them another degree removed from traditional pug looks. So if you had a pug/cavalier king charles/jack russell combo you'd have... the Jugalier...
