Pixie have been working Hard on stop-sits ( Sunshine sitting when Pixie stop walking , without Pixie give the sit sign ) . And ! Is working! Sunshine sit maybe half time today , even at hardware store when Pixie and guardian Wizard go get new lamp for pixie … ( maybe pixie talk about that what new lamp thing , later ) .
pixie , ( Other than the potty problem ), Pixie think am do maybe not so awful with Sunshine .
But for sure still very needed help have guardian Wizard right there with Pixie , for at least To answer the questions while Pixie focus on Sunshine .
and . especially during pixie walks in afternoon … pixie not Like how some people just interrupt for such not-important things . . is annoying . And . Worse . Pixie can not deal with that alone except for ignore people … Sunshine is to make Pixie more independent, not for to add one more reason Pixie need caregiver to go everywhere with pixie .
Like .this . yes Dog is pretty yes Pixie know this about Sunshine . YES Pixie very aware of how beautiful and special And well trained is pixies dog . not need to tell pixie that .

Thinking about this one cafe my husband and I stopped by while exploring the city. It wasn't much, a room with a couple chairs and a coffee maker.
But the purpose of the cafe was amazing. It was a safe space for anyone to stop in and sit. No stress to buy anything, no pressure to leave. Got to talking with the owner, who was a counselor for troubled teens. He wanted to build a place where people could feel comfortable coming in and relaxing.
He let anyone come in and sit. He specifically chose a spot by public and school bus stops for people to rest while waiting and would play music for the kids. He was looking to get a soft serve ice cream machine for them too.
The whole time I walked with this guy, probably over an hour, people were coming in and out, chilling, saying hi.
This is 100% the kind of spaces we need nowadays. No pressure, friendly spaces. No spending money required to sit, no running teens and kids out.

when i'm in public, everything blurs out. i don't see faces, i only see figures. it's like the world around me panned out and captured in bokeh. it's not that i'm unaware of my surroundings or that i'm a snob, it's just that i'm detached.

No but seriously ask someone to watch your stuff
And put stickers on your expensive stuff
I was lucky my library has cameras because someone tried to steal my headphones. My library is very crowded and everyone respects each other’s personal space there (but apparently not always), so I left them unattended and charging…
now I put stickers on all my personal things so people are less prone to steal them. (Harder to resell)

Batsiblings convince Jason to get himself a cooking Tiktok account, and he gives in. To his surprise, he quickly gains millions of followers and a loyal auditory. The only problem? Jason has no idea that these people came here not necessary for recipes.
Jason: Geez, my followers had been pissing me off lately.
Dick, confused: Huh? Why?
Jason: They keep commenting ATE. Like, dude? Fucking where? I am not eating in my cooking videos. What is the fucking point?
Tim, choking: Oh my fucking God-
Jason, making an angry text post for his followers: YOU ALL. STOP COMMENTING "RAW". MY MEAT IS NOT RAW. I AM A PROPER COOK. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU???
Cassandra: Maybe it is time to tell him...
Tim, Steph, Duke, in unison: NO
Bruce, awkwardly trying to have a conversation with Jason: Hey, lad, how is your cooking blog is going?
Jason: Uh, people keep commenting cryptid messages. Like, the last time I was showing the right way to tenderise meat for chops because apparently it wasn't clear and someone requested the whole video? Anyway, I did it, and the whole comment section was writing me "in bed, on the floor, on the couch, on a chair, against the wall, against the window, against the door"... Like, why would I do that, not in the kitchen?
Bruce, no less clueless: Maybe it some kind of challenge. Kids love trying new stuff in extreme places nowadays.
Jason: Huh. Maybe. Thanks.
Bruce, just proud to have a proper conversation and somehow a help: Anytime, Jaylad!
Damian, who was unblissfully educated on the slang matter by Tim (because it was his responsibility as a big brother to traumatise him), with his eye twitching: ...None of these words were in Quran

Dramatic Tree-Like Park Rises in Xi'an China
Heatherwick Studio’s latest project in Xi’an, China, features a stunning tree-like park at its heart, blending nature with urban life. A series of elevated pathways and shaded walkways create vibrant spaces for gathering, reimagining public areas as hubs of connection and relaxation. Thomas Heatherwick always brings a unique sense of the unexpected to his work, and this project is no exception.…

why the crap is it normal for people to talk on speaker in public??
I dunno, Anon, but I think it needs to stop. I’m not a fan of this trend either.

So I do a lot of book suggestion with my public libraries because, well, I'm a big reader and I can't buy all of the books, no matter how much i might want to.
Anyway, it always completely baffles me when, with series - especially when its in ebook form where you can see fairly easily on Libby whether or not there is another installment after the one you're currently reading - *I* have to suggest the next book for it to be picked up.
And not in a 'why is the librarian not buying it' way, but rather in a 'why are people not asking for it????'
For exemple, I've been reading a series of like 5-6 books total. I suggested my library get the first ebook, suggestion got accepted, i read the book and liked it well enough. About 10-ish people were in the hold queue. Of course that doesn't mean they actually liked it but whatever.
I suggested the second book, and because of the nature of ebooks reservation, some people got to read it before me. Ok fine. I read it, about 6-7 people are on the hold queue when i finish it.
Guess what? No one asked for the third book.
For EVERY book in the series, i had to ask for the next one and i'm just...
For people to read it before me, they had to have an alert on the book so they would know when it becomes available at once. Cuz obviously I have those alerts, but even just checking 5 minutes after the notification, there would be at least 2-3 people with a hold on the book already.
And its not even a 'oh, the library will get the ebooks at a certain time every months/few months so that's why it wasn't available yet'
I finished the second to last book of the series recently. It had been available since like october-ish. I had actually started back then, but since I'm not a fan of reading ebooks, I couldnt finish the book in time, so into the hold queue I went.
I know that public library. I know how often they get their ebook. If anyone had asked for the last book, it would be available already.
It wasn't.
Do people not know they can suggest books? Is the process too obscure for them?
Anyway, there is no point to this post except to say, my good peeps, you can make books (or dvds or games or whatever kind of item your public library offer) suggestion! You usually can do it online!
If you can't find where exactly, usually just googling 'purchase suggestion' or 'reccomand a title' with the name of your public library will get you to the right page
And if you're still not sure, you should ask your librarian, they'll be happy to tell you how!
