Since it’s New Year’s Eve/New Year has already started for some of you, I figured it would make sense to let you know about Spark’s intentions re: New Year’s kisses. First and foremost, she IS absolutely going to go around giving out smooches, when allowed to do so. However, this, in no way, is supposed to indicate me wanting to potentially start a ship(if both parties are interested we can discuss the possibility, of course) or pushing any romantic feelings onto your muse.  

Spark is a flirty and affectionate creature by nature; though I am completely aware this might make some, both muses and muns alike, somewhat uncomfortable. As such, I am PERFECTLY OKAY with any reaction you see as suitable for your muse - positive, negative, confused, pleased? Anything goes! You owe me absolutely NOTHING in the way of approving reactions, not unless you are completely convinced that it would be an IC occurrence.

new dash icon, my banner is fixed, everything is updated in my rules and most importantly, i have google docs linked in my mobile header for those on mobile. i ask that anyone who hasn’t read my rules because of the lack of a google doc please does so as there are many things in there i like people to know.

PENNY DREADFUL, THE CHARACTER.

The character of Penny Dreadful, the host of Penny Dreadful’s Terrorvision Frights has her own backstory, crafted by Penny Stoker herself  and a few producers who are also friends. Penny the character has had multiple husbands, who have each died in mysterious and suspicious circumstances and are often joked about during the show. One of Penny’s catchphrases is “Well, my husband’s late. No really, he’s late.” She also has a shelf of her dead husbands’ skulls lined up in view of the audience and she’ll talk to them and ask their opinions on things.

One of her main catchphrases is “Keep creeping”, usually used to signal the end of the episode and a goodbye to the audience. Penny the character, much like Penny the person has an incredibly cheesy sense of humour, usually more on the macabre side and the show is littered with bad jokes and puns about horror and murder.

The inexact nature of Penny Dreadful is a running gag on the show and it is never confirmed exactly what she is, though Penny Stoker does wear false fangs which could imply that she’s a vampire, usually there are jokes that contradict potential vampirism. When a file or information comes up about Penny Dreadful, her species is usually listed as “What.” or “???”. Fans speculate that she may be a vampire, undead, a demon or some sort of cryptid. There are also numerous jokes and references to Penny Dreadful being long lived, with her occasionally dropping what she was doing in a certain decade and her actual age is also never confirmed as according to Penny Dreadful, “it’s rude to ask a lady’s age”.

Penny’s real life pets, an antilles pinktoe tarantula named Mrs Muffet and a black and white California kingsnake named Slithers, also feature on the show occasionally as either set decoration or actively on Penny herself as her ‘scare-cessories’. Penny Dreadful often jokes that she and Mrs Muffet met at “Black Widows Anonymous” and that there was a Mr Muffet.
