As far as obsessive love with Micah goes, I can totally see it; in his own little ways.

He's definitely more subtle about it. Before getting together, you'll literally have no idea at all that he was heavily infatuated with you. He's discreet because you cant be a rough, mean cowboy while being in love and acting like a schoolgirl with her first ever crush.

There's a part of the game where we see him ask Mary-Beth to dance that one time. He's stuttering and nervous; and that's how I imagine he'd be with you at first. It's all so new to him, falling in love, so it's only natural you'll see a more vulnerable, almost scared side of him. Softie Bell, I love you.

He won't be too physical with you outside of intimacy, like he's not a cuddler but if you were to ask him, he'd oblige a few times to keep you happy—because he loves you. Just kind of laying down with you and doing whatever comes to mind; rubbing your back or head slowly. We know he's a heavy insomniac so if you fall asleep, he'll just stare at the tent ceiling and space out, waiting for you. He'll never admit it, but he loves having you in his arms.

He'll show his upmost trust and love for you with things that might seem minuscule to an outside perspective; like letting you handle Baylock or his precious guns which would be a huge sign of trust on his end. He once left his guns in your care for nearly three hours and it was the best thing ever.

He'll definitely handle you more gently—like he does his guns. You're both precious to him, that's for sure. Honorable mention — love language.

His love language is definitely quality time. If he catches you alone somewhere, he'll walk over and do literally anything just to be around your presence. You could be doing chores and he'll just walk over and lean on the nearest tree or wagon to you, take his knife out and start sharpening it. Literally anything to spend time with you at this point. Won't make an effort at smalltalk because he actually enjoys sitting in silence with you, but will occasionally let you yap his ear off when you have something to say. "Mhm..; Oh, yeah?; You don't say?; Wow, yeah?" He'll respond with whatever just to keep you talking to him, loves the sound of your voice.

oon did a lot of things while dressed up as oom, apparently. from picking fights to making people fall in love. we love the range. i find it so amusing that oon clearly didn't remember may from the past, but from the moment she met her in present day, she was immediately infatuated by that woman. i mean, she saw a pretty angel coming down the stairs and talking softly and touching her with care, and was immediately a goner. from my perspective, it goes to show how much lack of affection she has endured since school days into adulthood, to be honest, for her to latch on a complete stranger like that. but it's amusing, too, to see that oon's main rival the whole time was, * checks notes * oon herself.

we don't know enough about oom to make me defend her, but ever since that talk the twins had in front of the shop after oom came back from a flight, i kept thinking, oon is trying to support her sister bc she's clearly the most gifted of the two (not my thoughts btw, but we know how oon's self-confidence works) and the favorite, while oom is trying to fill in all the spots to make it look like their efforts and sacrifices meant something. pang herself said that her house felt lifeless and that she decorates her clients' houses based on the aura she gets from them and it jut felt like a bachelor's house, and jan says that's probably bc she wasn't into it. i don't think that was just about paul but about the whole life she built for herself (but then, that's me reading too much into it, too. sibling dynamics and the roles within their family group just fascinates me).

once upon a time, when i was watching ayaka is in love with hiroko, someone commented on the tags of a post that it was so nice to see women desiring each other instead of just giving off best friends vibes, and here we are in thai gl where women eat each other like their lives depend on it and let me tell you, oon has been waiting to get freaky with may for a fucking eternity, i genuinely thought she was about to combust on that car scene in the beginning of the episode.

this is just my personal/non-official/non-lore perspective on it, but I see a lot of character relationships in media that have some obvious shared theme, like fire and water, which is cool… But Pacesetter and Firestarter, despite being seemingly unrelated at a glance, actually have subtler things in common (shared music taste being among them… PS probably enjoys hearing about drama from FS too). their personalities complement each other well despite the visual differences. firestarter needs the confidence; pacesetter needs the appreciation, validation, and probably many other things… maybe he could learn some patience too…

as for the real-world reason why they're in a relationship… well… my memory is bad, but IIRC, it came up a year or two ago... I believe the idea for their relationship existed before either character had a tie to music, back when they just had personalities and designs (which are essentially the same as they are now), so in that way, the initial idea was very personality based

of course the previous paragraphs relate to it, but let’s say this– they told me personally that they wanted to be together

Have you noticed how unfair the existence of Cale Henituse and Choi Han is in Earth 1?

And no, I am not talking about how Cale knew what was going to happen or how they both have the main character syndrome.

Summarizing: They are Disney actors in a world of nosy auts!

Did I just got out of shower? Yes.

Should I go eat, because it's one in the morning and I have class at 8 A.M.? Also yes.

Is this my first post to this fandom, that I haven't interacted with in a year? Yup.

BUT THIS IS IMPORTANT.

Like, think about it.

Also, I'm focusing more on Cale, but Choi Han also fits.

I don't know how it is now, but to Millennials and Gen Z, we grew up watching Disney movies and, most of them, like High School Musical, showed lies, like that High School was fun.

But the point I want to say is regarding the visual. We grew up, watching how people were supposed to be in High school, having a pattern to follow. Disregarding the fact that the actors were in their twenties!

That caused a bunch of self esteem issues, because the ideal model was someone who already went through puberty, not one that is going through it. And the comparison was the worst, because it wasn't a realistic pattern to follow.

That made me think about how the world perceives the two. I haven't read the second part yet and haven't touched anything related in almost a year, but, if I am not mistaken, Cale ends that part with 20 years and Choi Han with the appearance of 18.

BUT we all know that they are way older than that. Cale was in his thirties and Choi Han between 60's and 150's (yes, I saw both options and I don't remember which was true).

The fact that everyone at first looks down on Cale is not only because of his physic. It's because he is technically a teenager! (Regarding the Korean age, they become adults at 20. Ps: I heard it had a change, so I don't know how it is now, but this novel was written before that). That is probably why the kids also tend to hear Cale. We always hear the older cooler kids and not the adults.

And then we have two teenagers fighting a war. Multiple wars. And they won. Because, in reality, they are mostly functional adults. They had time to learn, they had experience. But to everyone, they are only geniuses. Not that they aren't, but it is more like "the trash became responsible overnight and is taking strategies from the air."

And then we consider that Cale is also a nobleman. And you know what nobles do? Always want to be the best, always comparing to others. Imagine the pressure of growing in a family like this, in a society like this. And I can say I have an idea, I'm Latina and half my family is Asian. We always have that nosy aunt that compares us to anyone that is better. Sometimes the aunt is your own mother, but there is always someone.

But get the perspective. All the next generation will have Cale and Choi Han as the ideal model. In a society that comparison and nitpicking everything is the tradition. And it will be hell for them. Because there is no way that a "new Cale" or a "new Choi Han" can be born. They are the product of a bunch of factors. So, they will be searching for the impossible.

Hence, the existence of Cale and Choi Han is unfair the same way that Disney placing adults playing teenagers is unfair to the kids watching them.

Unfortunately, it's going to be long. I have read your recent asks and it's outrageous indeed how he still speaks on Øystein's name (seething at the mouth while trying to convince aaaaall the people about how awful and 'a loser' he was), throwing tantrums everytime someone mentions him; somehow, I do also think that it is funny, pathetically so, that he HAS to address ANY comment (even if the said comment is not relevant to let's say, the original post) about the man he killed (and also goes as far as to get pissy and correct people that he didn't 'murder' him, he 'just killed' him). We do all agree that he will never get over Øystein simply because A) he expected a different kind of 'aftermath' with him probably skyrocketing into this black metal symbol, replacing Euronymous in the scene, being viewed overall as a legend (which can be discussed as to what extent he is recognized as such, many people are unsympathetic of Ø.'s murder and play it out as something good that happened, like he 'cleansed' the scene because after all, Øystein had it coming) and B) it infuriates him that no matter what he says or how many time he says it or even after how many years have passed, people STILL talk about Euronymous, mourn this artistic loss & there is a small fambase dedicated to his legacy. What he thought was an easy way out — eliminating the 'threat' and the source of his admiration turned into jealousy — came to bite him in the ass and he still (even though he was somewhat successful with his music! Mind you) feels like he lives in his shadow. I also don't belive that Øystein wanted to make a snuff movie out of him at all. Or at least there is no source to back it up except the 'a friend of a friend' and the only real source that supports the claim that Ø. wanted, although it was more of a pondering about which was discarded, to kill him is that one Mortiis comment.

But my question is: do you think that this pure, hot rage toward Øystein after all those years is fundamentally fueled by the fact that even in death, he feels wronged by him because he had to throw away the best years of his life away? Does it make sense? He will always bound to him whether he likes it or not, doesn't matter if he tries to be nonchalant about it.

Ps. Very off topic: are you Italian?

Regarding the supposed reasons why he won't get over Øystein:

A. He actually became an iconic symbol in Black Metal whether we like it or not because his murder is actually one of the biggest reasons why the Black Metal became so popular in the late 90s/early 00s. The other reason is Pelle's s*****e. What convinced people that 'these kids ain't kiddin' was the actual loss of lives in the scene.

Burzum sold better than Mayhem overall, and Filosofem stood in tops for years. Random people know about Varg more than they do about Øystein or Pelle. I've literally had that confirmed both on the Internet and in real life many times.

He basically became famous for taking one's life, so I don't see why he would be mad today from this perspective if he already accomplished a status in the Black Metal history.

What realistically makes more sense is option B. Varg was envious of Øystein way before he committed the crime. I explained how this works when I talked about 'narcissistic splitting'. He wanted what he couldn't have, and that was Øystein's prestige, authority, innovation, etc. Basically, what made Øystein such a great 'leader', so to speak. It was a struggle for power, and this is also what the Norwegian Court concluded when they tried to determine the reason behind the crime.

What people have to understand is that Varg is, after 30 years, STILL afraid of Øystein. Øystein still holds power over him even if he is dead. Varg will never ever get over his obsession because his obsession hides a raging inferiority complex, it is rooted in fear of being 'less than' or 'not good enough'. He is mentally stuck at the age of 19-20 when he was a nobody and his success in music depended heavily on Øystein's approval. He gets triggered by every comment in which Øystein is mentioned, he cannot help it, it's involuntary. And these comments ruin his day, I can tell you that. I've never seen someone more pathetic, living in his own head, whose biggest accomplishment in life was taking another's life made such a parody out of himself on the Internet.

Yes, even after his death, Varg is wronged by Øystein. I believe he dreams about him at night, I'm not even kidding. I believe he has dreams in which he is 19 again and a loser in front of the one whom he looked up to.

He is furious that he lost the best years of his life, but this fury is aimed towards himself (he self-sabotaged by acting on impulse and ending up in prison). This, and the fury that is aimed towards Øystein are his main fuels. Narcissists live in the past. They revisit their most impactful moments again and again, and they are not able to move forward. Stuck in a loop is the easiest way to describe Varg's thought process.

No, I don't believe at all that Øystein wanted to make a snuff movie torturing Varg and all that stuff. As their friendship deteriorated, they couldn't stand each other, and they most probably went talking shit about each other behind their backs. Classic and typical.. but Varg took it to the next level and the rest is history.

No, I'm not Italian, but what made you think that? You made me curious.

Hello hello - I’m fairly new to all things BTS, took me a few months to kind of catch up on the most important things but it’s impossible to watch everything - I’ll need more months for sure 😉

BUT I wanted to ask you and your followers about something. It seems like Jungkook changed quite a bit, especially in 2023. Sometimes when I see footage of 2022, he seems like a different person to me. I’m solo era especially he seems less carefree, less smiley, more grumpy or on edge or just way more / even more guarded. Like he’s annoyed mode easily or fed up with a lot of things. I’m not saying his character changed, I don’t know him, and of course people change, grow, evolve. And we can’t forget that he probably was under a lot of stress and pressure to do well with his own music. And add onto that the constant observation, public opinion, paparazzi etc. I get it. But if you compare footage (I know that is also not 100% authentic or the big picture) he seems more at ease, more content and just happier in 2022 or up to 2022. I wonder what caused that switch and as a Pisces I can’t help but worry too. I really hope that - no matter how much he may not like it - his time in the military helps him to reflect on everything, take care of himself, prioritize his health and also just come back in 2025 and be able to enjoy everything a bit more, without the seemingly heavy load on his shoulders sometimes!

(And since that is a Taekook account, I also want to mention my impression that his behavior around Tae simultaneously changed similarly. He seemed a lot more guarded, less open, less smiley and way less touchy around Tae, at least in public. Could be due to him somehow wanting to fiercely protect and shield him and then more. Or he did change a lot, also towards Tae. Who knows. We’ll see in 2025, maybe :))

So yeah I’m interested in all your thoughts, especially those who were around for the years and how it was in real time! And if it was something that the fandom noticed? Cause the switch up in appearance and behavior (not good or bad, just observation) is quite noticeable. And don’t get me wrong, I’m always here for artists just doing themselves and wanting to break free from label and fandom expectations etc. but that always comes with worry too cause it indicates that the artist maybe reached a limit re certain topics or in general etc.

Ps: I know he is not 22 anymore, I know he’s a grown up and he can do what he wants or needs to in order to cope with this lifestyle, fame, pressure and the possible hide & seek of a relationship on top. 🤍

Pps: it truly comes from a place of curiosity and love. I hope that came across 🙏🏼

My own perspective on it is that the reason we talk so much about the importance of Solo Era is that it was the first time when group obligation wound down significantly enough for them to begin making decisions about how their time was spent. And more importantly, level out to more authentic versions of themselves.

You also have to bear in mind the dynamics. He's the maknae amongst his members, right? He has a silly relationship with Jin, a soft big brother thing with Hobi, a hero worship of Namjoon. But in Solo Era, he's just Jungkook without the other people to bounce off. It's gonna change how he comes across.

But it's not just Jungkook. The company thumb came off them all and it shows. Namjoon seemed more chilled out than he used to be without expectations of leadership. Hobi and Jimin seemed a bit more serious sometimes.

Tae didn't spend much of Solo Era fitting into his soft squishy wide-eyed company assigned role either. He definitely let more of his acerbic wit, intelligence and ethos come to the front.

It just seems like Jungkook might also have let himself be more real. Can you imagine previous years JK standing up for himself and being open about his real thoughts and principles the way he was in 2023/4?

Also worth considering that it's a period of having to strike out on their own with military service impending. It wouldn't surprise me if that was on their minds, as you said.

I guess I just consider pre-2023 to be the more constructed character in a way so I'm happy for him to be more serious.

All that said, we still had some of his most intensely silly moments over 2023! Army Magic WAOOW, skipping along on set, dying at food and practicing his smiles stick in my head:

As for Taekook, the cameras were off a lot more so it feels difficult to compare levels of physical affection from group times to solo times because we simply don't have the dizzying amount of content. And you're right - maybe there's a protectiveness. To be very delulu about it, what if finding they still worked in solo era was a crystallisation of what they already had? What if this freedom and getting to spend time together unbothered by obligation made it all the more precious?

What we did see felt like two matured people very comfortable with each other: A live where JK is basically twirling his hair and kicking his feet; Dreamiere where JK is giddy and shy; Inkigayo where Tae is dutifully calming JK before his performance; Suchwita where JK is happy to say Tae looks good without makeup; AYS Jeju where JK is skipping along to a restaurant and being silly as he usually is. A picture from Hawaii where JK is holding on to Tae's neck as they get ready to skydive and pulling a silly face behind Tae.

As ever, bear in mind I got here in early 2023. Other people have better knowledge.

i had so much to say, like how each of the agents' responses to MC killed me, but in particular, T is an ass for calling my poor mc a parasite. Like i didn't do shit to you !

Also Raine's bit was adorable and them fighting with T just is the best thing ever. It was extremely funny.

Ps i still don't trust Hunter for all the money in the whole world. Hunter makes my spidey senses tingle. Creepy pushy weirdo 😒

Then comes Umbra. Why in the world did that whole interaction make me want to cry. Like, i got so emotional. Umbra makes me so sad for some reason. You really translate so much emotion in your writing, and it really hit me.

The whole update was beautifully written. I did find some typos i can send you privately if you need me to but they were few and far between. And did not take away from the reading experience at all.

But seriously, no joke, i literally just need you to know you're a wonderful writer, and I'm so in love with this IF I'd probably cry if you decided to discontinue it one day, god forbid. But sorry. Saw a lot of people posting jokes about it here and then at a Palestine protest I went to the trots were selling their newspaper, so I have seen it happen in the wild, but I've been curious what the origin of this stereotype was.

As I understand it, it comes from an uncritical application of Lenin's emphasis on the newspaper in his works pre-revolution. It was a very important aspect of agitation because it provided a source of income and was a very effective way of transmitting more complex positions, as well as keeping members and workers informed on the state of the worker's movement, from a class perspective. Nowadays, while newspapers still hold most of these benefits (in my humble opinion), it is neither the only possible way for communicating Party positions nor as crucial. But most trotskyist groups don't take their own conditions into account a lot (totally uncharacteristic for them lmao) and just do literally what Lenin said. Most communist parties with any base wider than a group of friends will probably have some form of newspaper or publication, but trotskyists generally stand out because of how much importance they place on it. One time I was with a trotskyist in a room with other people, he brought out this comically large and thick newspaper, and sold it for like 7 cents to the only person that showed even a little bit of interest.

(aka what i think about past 9pm)

You and your work partner, Hobie, had just gotten done containing another malicious anomaly in some random universe.

The sun was just beginning to set, though, and you thought you'd stay until it fully settled, until the stars came out. Then you’d clock out and go home.

It was a gorgeous, clear evening. You felt the cool wind blow through your hair as you sat on the top of a decently tall building, glad to be mostly done with your work for the day.

Suddenly, you heard an all too familiar voice from behind you. "Mind if I join ya, mate?"

It was Hobie, of course.

"Sure. Thought you were heading back now, though.." You craned your neck, and leaned back to look at Hobie as he walked over to sit next to you.

"Soundin' like ya don' wan' me around, love." He chuckled to himself, sitting down cross-legged, and gazing out into the colourful sky with you.

It was beautiful. Your universe was never really this pretty.

"Wasn't half bad back there, eh?"

"You or me? I think I did most of the work there." You offered a small smile.

Hobie laughed. "Fuck off, ya wanker. Seemed equal 'cause I had to save your sorry arse. Shoulda given me so much as a plain 'thanks, 'obie' 'n I'd be chuffed."

You sighed, looking down as you fidgeted with your hands. Looking back up at the changing sky, you couldn't help but think of what could've happened, had Hobie not been there to save you.

I mean, you could've probably handled it, but what if you didn't?

"You know, I always have felt sort of unhappy with myself. My life, and whatever. Whenever something like that happens, it always scares the shit out of me and makes me think about dying a lot more vividly and realistically."

You shift to lay down on your back, arms supporting your head. "Fuck, for all I know that could be my canon event... dying. It really fuckin' puts stuff into perspective. The whole canon events thing, I mean. How am I supposed to live life freely, and even just normally, when I know there's a goddamn model that a computer came up with that already dictates my entire life, birth to death? How am I important at all?"

Hobie stared at you, eyes a little wide, a little slack-jawed at your intelligent, observant remarks.

"Christ, ya good, mate?" He chuckled, regaining his usual smirk that seemed to be permanently plastered onto his stupidly attractive face. "Gettin' a bit serious there, yeah? Thought I lost ya for a sec. But, love, I do see what ya mean. 'S quite hard to feel like 'ur in control when 'ur entire bloody life seems planned out. Y'know, canon ain't always right, though. I didn't go through tha' whole stereotypical 'officer savin' a li'l kid' event, so 's able to be changed somewhat."

He shrugged, messing with a loose thread on his pants absentmindedly.

You nodded, resting your hands on your stomach. "Yeah… I know. I just feel like I'm stuck in a cage and I can't do anything about it until I'm dead."

"Mm, don' we all, love.." Hobie shifted over to grin down at you. He seriously tried to play it cool, but he was freaking out, and totally all nerves on the inside. You sounded so smart and educated, this whole interaction totally came out of left field.

Which was more than welcome, fuck, Hobie would be the first to admit that he loved discussing things like this with you. You were so confident in your words, and more importantly, how you said them, and it made you even more beautiful in his eyes. If that was even possible.

He adored every part of you.

Your dorky smile, all your imperfections… Hobie loved that you didn’t hide them and didn’t let people tell you shit, and just your whole personality... it'd take him forever and a day to list everything that he loved about you.

Especially now, you looked artistically beautiful. Like a painting, with all the warm colours swirling around you, illuminating your skin and basking you in the fleeting sunlight.

"Oh, Hobie,"

"Hm?" He snapped out of scanning every aspect and detail of you for a moment.

You leaned into him after sitting straight up, closer and closer, and then pecked his cheek. "Thanks."

All Hobie's blood rushed up straight to his cheeks, and he offered nothing but a blank stare, an awkward laugh, and a light touch to where you kissed.

"Y-yeah, mate... f'course,"
