As a wise post once said, "Demonpirate is the story of when two tsunderes fall in love". With OG Oxventure wrapping up soon-ish, and my brain continuing to be half-coherent mush, now was the time to do a page of DP sketches, because I definitely plan these things.

Been reading Chainsaw Man and got whacked with inspiration by a chapter illustration that just gave such huge Corazon & Prudence vibes. I think we’ve all been missing them.

Inktober 2022 let's gooooooo!!!

I had such a clear imagine in my mind for this one - some good ol' fashion Demonpirate, with Prudence going all "pew pew pew" and Corazon delighting in being a dashing rogueish type. These two are only getting more delightful as time goes on. Go gamble away the dragon eggs!

It has been actual ages since I’ve drawn and posted some good ol’ fashion Demonpirate, though it’s certainly not for lack of content. Hula dances! Torturing NPCs! Corazon’s horror at Dob inhabiting Prudence’s body! We are spoiled for choice.

Prudence is basically pulling Corazon’s ponytail because she has a crush on him but projects her emotions on others or denies them vehemently (except in secret) send tweet.

I love ship names that aren’t just portmanteaus of the character names so this is “my personal Oxventure ships and the names I use for them in hopes you understand what I’m talking about”.

Filed under "headcanons I have thought too much about", meaning I have thought about it for more than 10 seconds, is "Corazon has fancy rich boy training as Percy and therefore would know all the courtly romantic things". tl;dr, not only does Corazon know fancy rich boy training but Prudence, having not been around any of that, is absolutely susceptible to it because it really catches her off-guard that someone is being that polite and gentlemanly to her. So, hand kisses, and she Does Not Hate It, but Corazon gets to be very smug about it so she resents it.

An early Valentine's-ish piece for my part in Oxventure fandom. I'm kind of a sucker for flower language so I ran with that for this one. What are the flowers and what do they mean, you didn't ask? Read on!

Corazon & Prudence White carnation: Love, admiration, good fortune (I liked the idea of "fortune" to Corazon) Amaryllis: Pride, one source says "in Victorian times an amaryllis was a strong, confident, and beautiful woman" (loved that for Prudence)

Merilwen & Dob Jasmine: Sweet love, amiability, good fortune, positive energy (they are very nice murder hobos okay)

Egbert Violet: Loyalty, devotion, faithfulness, spiritual wisdom (as I generally (not a hard rule) don't pair Egbert with anyone and probably take his paladin-ness more seriously than he does, I liked leaning into this)

I have some thoughts about the Emotionally Constipated state of one Corazon de Ballena, because I seem to have a thing for characters that are such things. Receiving?? Affection??? Nonsense.

"Oh Percy," Prudence sighed, leaning forward and pressing her forehead into the pirate's back. "What am I going to do with you."

Corazon froze, a lance of anxiety shooting through his nerves as the tiefling wrapped her arms around his mid-section. "Nothing," he managed to get out without his words trembling. "Absolutely nothing. What, are you worried about me? That's very flattering Prudence but I-"

"-are a hot mess-" "-you just said I was hot-" "-and I feel the strange desire to be protective of you."

He could hardly be blamed for feeling this way. It was totally normal for one's whole being to drop through the floor at being hugged, because it was totally normal for someone to have lacked physical affection for decades. Everything was fine. Everything was normal. That sudden wave of heat coloring his face? Totally fine, Corazon kept repeating to himself. Prudence was not hugging him and he was not having an emotional crisis. Everything was fine.

Creating fic ideas of your favorite streamed D&D campaign? It's more likely than you think. (Listen it was going to happen why question it.) Me and senpai @rubycosmos​ have schemed up an actually plausible story where the past of Percival Milquetoast comes back up and the group has to attend a fancy party in fancy dress. This is probably a remnant of one of our favorite Oxventures being Heist Society. And I do plan on drawing peanut gallery Dob-Merilwen-Egbert, don't think I forgot about them.

More of my shipper trash sketches from more sketchbook sessions. There’s Prudence pin-up art so why not some bishounen Corazon? He took off his shirt in Hunter Pressure to flex...and in Elf Hazard during the speech...so yeah that just seems to be a thing up his alley.
