18. Things they’ll never admit and/or 20. What-ifs/Alternate Timelines headcanon(s) with Remy?

Ohh so an alternative time line I would be interested to consider with Remy is what would have happened if Mikey hadn't died. He admits in an ep that his whole life was reshaped by that event. It's the reason he joined the FBI.

I can't remember what he did before but I feel it was something to do with investments that made a lot of money. I feel he would have shifted into the family business and been fabulously wealthy and ruthless. He would have been attending auctions like the one we saw him at and sleeping with beautiful women but ...

There would have been no soul in any of it because he didn't have purpose. The women he sleeps with, he doesn't love, the money he makes it doesn't buy him happiness. The thrills he seeks, they get wilder more daring. He goes to sex clubs to feel something, explore his darker urges, spends big at casinos, drinks alot, parties alot, dabbles in drugs. Anything to feel something.

One day his art collection is robbed, a few paintings stolen and that's how he meets Ani, she's the one investigating. He's completely captivated by her, by the world of art theft he had no knowledge of. It starts off as a few drinks to share knowledge and becomes a full blown affair. He falls in love and begins to look for ways to help in the community and starts a charity that helps prove provience and reaquaint art looted by the Nazis to it's rightful owners.

Things He Will Never Admit:

The Nightlight - Before Ani he always slept with a lamp on if he was alone. He's seen a lot terrible shit, he has nightmares, waking up with the lamp on used to help him reorientate quicker, remind him he was at home and safe. When Ani comes along, she uses a nightlight and he actually really digs it, on the nights she's not there he uses it too but he will never admit it.

lucifer and the HRE

the HRE if you arent a history nerd is the holy roman empire. which wasn't very holy, wasn't really roman and not really an empire. it was actually a nightmare state of thousands of proviences, lords and duchies all vying for power within the HRE.

what lucifer and the HRE has similar is that both rulers ruled over a highly dysfunctional state that barely worked and both now are probably have to deal with uruly and failed states forcing them back into order.

but its important to note that the HRE was a monster when it wasn't fighting itself it was a monster of an faction. holding some of the most professional and dangerous armies in Europe at the time. it also developed a lot of reforms brought the dark ages a bit more orderly and was overall just really powerful. it did bad and it did good it did eventually collapse however.

lucifer's kingdom is very much his HRE. it has all the potentials to be an incredibly powerful kingdom. it can lead forward reforms and become better then heaven itself one day.

But lucifer is like during the waning periods of the HRE. lucifer feels like any day it could all collapse and everyday he is fighting to keep it all together.

He knows if he goes vlad the impaler and just fights his icons he will defiantly destroy the kingdom. he's angry, he's tired, and he's had enough. he's utilizing a sorta pragmatic anger.

He's placing his authority upon his rings, placing his control directly ontop of his icons, he's not playing friendly but he isn't playing full dictator.

however he fears he is merely stalling for time maybe his harsh words will reach his icons and make them realize they are just ruining their kingdom. realize that hell can be the powerful utopia that heaven isn't. but he fears he is merely stalling to build a force a reputation garner the citizens to his cause...because he fears his friends are too far gone and civil war is coming...he just needs pride to be strong enough to face it.

Well sort of.

So out of the Jade Palace family, we can perhaps conclude that Po is the ones who know the most recipes. ( I don't just imagine noodles though.)

But what if we expand that a bit?

What if the majority of the Furious Five know at least one or two recipes? Let's just say that the majority of the Five are from different proviences in China, to make things a little more interesting.

I personally headcannon that before Po came around, the one who likely know the most recipes would be Viper, since in the holiday special, she recalls cooking with her sisters.

This is Cireialiel.  Her krewe call her Sarah because none of them can pronounce her name properly (and I have no idea how to pronounce it either).  When she woke, she was intrigued by the golem that operated the gate in the Grove (the one that ran away because the Sylvari gate operator asked it too many questions) and asked the Asuran gate operator where she could get one.  He told her to go to Metrica Provience and ask at the labs there.  The lab she ended up at was an Inquest lab.

Initially the Inquest exploited her because she was bigger than all of them and could reach high things and carry heavy things (they pretty much treated her as an organic golem, which was fine with her because she thought she was working to get her own golem.)

Eventually, she found notes on Sylvari experimentation in the krewe’s library.  You would think she would be horrified about what she found, but she was intrigued.  She convinced the krewe leader to let her perform experiments on herself.  She ended up making a golem, that was more or less a Dredge Mining suit, that was powered by Sylvari sap (her own sap).  It worked well, until a lab accident where she almost died.  Her krewe saved her life, because by then she had become an invaluable member of the lab.
