Ink, Nightmare and Dream do not consider themselves as “Sans”

Nightmare loves canon characters, especially Papyruses. That’s why all staff of his castle has few Papyrus and Mettaton buttlers, Toriel and Asgore as housekeepers and Asriel as a gardener. He prefers classics.

Dream is very kind and emotional and has a young open mind, and makes mistakes in his observations sometimes. For example he believes for some reason Ink is trustworthy.

Swap is a big brother of the star sanses group and is most down to earth, he is less powerful than Ink and Dream but he is really good at tactics and is the one who really thinks about directly helping people not to get hurt while others are fighting. He is a protector.

Error earn his hyperfixation on eliminating AUs from his past as Geno, tho he doesn’t remember it much. As Geno he saw a lot of timelines, and most of them were cruel to him, his friends and family so he learned the pattern that there is only one True route where everyone is happy, the Pacifist route. He subconsciously thinks that all AUs are about suffering and that he has to free everyone from it. At least that how it started. In present times he moved from “AUs are evil they make everyone suffer” to “Everything and Everyone that part of the AU are not real and doesn’t deserve to live” But wait there more! He is ALSO not real, so when he will fulfill his mission and eliminate everything that is not “Canon” he will also eliminate the last Error that remained. Himself. He is really a sick man. He allow himself to get rest because if he will he will collapse on the floor and won’t get up.

Heyy, I noticed that Change!Paps has half his arm amputated so my questions are: Does he suffer from phantom pain? If so how does he deal with it? (Also does change!Paps have a nickname? like underfell!Paps whose been called Edge)

Papyrus after losing his arm from being trampled does indeed have phantom pain and phantom limb! It's very uncomfortable for him but unfortunately there's nothing anyone can do about it since the missing limb is gone forever.

Change! Pap does indeed have nicknames, depending on who you ask!

Mettaton: Orange pop

Undyne: Storm or Shifter(Papyrus is unstable)

Toriel: Protector.

But you can call him whatever! Just be nice about it, he's a teeny bit sensitive! ^^

(I personally like to call change! Papyrus 'shield' from how he tries to shield everyone else from losing hope and his defenses! These guys don't exactly have a theme to them like others do unless you call a unfathomable amount of trauma and trying to deal with it a theme-)

Dreamtale au with all the characters in game idea :D so once apon a time there was a lady let’s call toriel and her husband let’s call asgore with two children let’s call them asriel and Chara and Chara was the protector of the sad stone and asriel was the protector of the happy stone and torial and asgore was the protectors of the body stones also protecting the people within there land.some people did not like Chara because the people thought chara was the reasons for sadness and dispare. Asgore knew he would have to be the one that had to pay the price for their beliefs, so he did the unthinkable and killed Chara in cold blood to stop his demise. torial distort at what had played in font of her very eyes felt anger for the first time fought asgore it was a brutal and dangerous act but she saw red not only from her anger but from the blood of her once child.they fought and fought until the sounds of a child filled the dangerous air asriel was here, and before they knew it “BAM” asgore hit asriel with his trident, time stopped as they watched their only son fall,dead.Torial was the first to run to his aid far to late he was already turning to dust,she wept as her son was dying. Asgore who was still distort at what he’d have done realized the ‘monster’ he had become, as asgore stood with his weak legs walked over to torial, “torial…I’m…I’m so sorry I-“. Toriel cutted him off by standing up with the dust of her son in her hands walked to Chara and picked them up and walked to the the flower patch outside where she buried Charas body and asriels dust. Asgore who quickly following her stopped in his tracks when he saw torial bury the two children she knew he was there and as she stood she didn’t look at him but she said”I hope you’re happy, you lost your children…and you’re wife.” And with that she left never to be seen again.

You know what. I DO wanna know about the religious imagery with Mettaton. Tell me all about it *laying on my chest kicking my feet up in the air*

Let us start with his name. Remember that majority of the names in Undertale/Deltarune are very particular, whether it be for a funny joke or something with a dual meaning (ex: Toriel is just Tutorial, Undyne being Undying, etc). The etymology is rather important with characters, and Mettaton is certainly no exception. His name is most likely derived from the angel Metatron, found in Judaism, Christianity and Islam. He was one of the only two humans to attain Heaven in the form of an angel, he was originally a righteous man named Enoch who was gifted with the form of an angel by God once he died. Now, the names being similar could very well be a coincidence, but one must also take note of the fact that Metatron is transliterated as MTT in Greek; which is too much of a coincidence to not be intentional.

So... his name is taken from an angel, which is already an allusion to the notion of deities and religion. Furthermore, this angel in particular is a rather interesting candidate to be compared with Mettaton... Both of these figures were something else entirely before they obtained their true forms, and changed their name along the way. They have even further parallels when you look at the name's meaning and Mettaton's actions. Metatron is most likely derived from the verb memater, which means to guard or protect; very striking when one considers the fact that Mettaton is very much a protector in Genocide/No Mercy Route; he quite literally gives his life to protect the Underground, as a guardian angel would do.

Furthermore, he is quite literally a celebrity, an idol. He even says it himself, he is the idol everyone craves. This is a double entendre, referring to him being a celebrity or figure to look up to, or a literal deity. Deities are all considered idols, they are to be worshipped; the very notion is entirely what his character is about. He loses his humanity, he is no longer a person. Hell, he is not even seen as alive, in his quest to be the true idol for humanity and monsterkind. He is worshipped and adored, yet is it genuine? Do the people know and love the real him? No. He is the heater, the Underground's sexiest rectangle, he is seen as just a robot. He is complacent in this, yet to hide his past and help Alphys he gave his humanity away.

It is a rather cruel twist on the story of Metatron actually... Metatron was given a wonderful gift by his creator, God gave him immortality and the blessing of being truly holy. This transformation into something else was divine, yet the same cannot be said about Mettaton. He was given the body of his dreams, yet it will never come without a terrible cost. His humanity and agency was given away, he even got used for functions he would be completely against; such as his creator giving him human eradication functions to "make him more useful", something the human loving ghost would never agree to until the last possible moments in a Pacifist run. Regardless, Mettaton falls into both the categories of being the idol and being God's pawn, which is rather interesting.

And of course... he is not without true fans either, take Spamton for example. Spamton supposedly spent all of his time praying to an artifact, the very machine that created NEO; which evidently has direct ties towards Mettaton NEO. I honestly never played the Spamton NEO fight yet, so I cannot comment too much on it, however Mettaton is quite literally an overworld being being unknowingly worshipped and prayed to by someone who resides below; this blind faith being found in every religion.

So yeah... Whether it was directly intentional or not, Mettaton as a whole has a decent amount of religious imagery and themes with his character that it becomes rather important to properly dissect him fully. I barely remember writing any of this, he probably possessed me and made me write this.

I've somewhat complained about this on-and-off, but I still find it really funny that a lot of Undertale multiverse stuff gives such important and powerful jobs to SANSES (and Sans-looking ones) out of anyone.

A protector of universes? I could see that being a Toriel or Undyne A destroyer? I could see a Flowey in that role (or a Chara, maybe, but that's for better or worse).

Honestly, this post isn't really complaining, it's just me finding it funny.

(Undertale AU) Earthsecret (a.k.a Generation Swap)

I know some else had an AU called Earthsecret but I wanna draw attention to the word HAD. Anyways. Earthsecret! An cool name for what is basically Undertale Generation Swap.  The premise is simple, every main character swaps with some one close to them that´s from a past generation. For example, the current royal scientist, Alphys, swaps with the past royal scientist W.D Gaster, and so on with others, ofc, there are some odd balls for some choices but they are there because they have connections with the role of the character they are now in.��

Roles:

Frisk <-> Kris  (reason: they are both the protagonists in Toby Fox´s games and have a close relation with the Dremurr and Hoilday families)  Flowey <-> Noelle´s Angel Doll (Reason: Because Asriel <-> Noelle, ofc) Toriel <-> Rudy (Reason: They are both very close with the respective children of their families fulfilling the role of the caretaker and housekeeper)  Napstablook <-> Seam (This one is the first odd ball in the bunch. Reason: They both have a nihilistic careless nature and because the mini bosses swap with the secret bosses) Sans <-> Grampa Semi (Reason: Semi is implied to be Sans and Papyrus´ grampa, I based him on Sans and Paps´beta design. He´s a  journalist and detective for hire) Papyrus <-> Muttler (Doge) (Reason: Even if this one doesn´t make much sense I choose to swap Paps with this world´s first canine unit member and current protector of snowdin) Undyne <-> Gerson (Reason: Gerson was the past Royal Guard captain, it makes sense that Him and Undyne would swap)  Mad Dummy <-> Jevil (Third weird swap. Reason: They both share a ballistic erratic nature and also a relation with the person in Napstablook´s role) Alphys <-> Gaster (Reason: Gaster was the royal scientist before he was shatter between time and space. Now he´s alive and Alphys fell in the CORE) The Amalgamates <-> The Gaster Followers (Reason: Because Alphys <-> Gaster, ofc) MTT <-> Spamton (Now this one makes a lot of sense taking in mind the previous mini bosses swap and Gaster´s role.  I won´t elaborate much, you can make an image in your mind) Asgore <-> Mayor C. (Reason: They both share a powerful and politic position in their respective game, where, they are both closed and moor the loss of a child of theirs)  Asriel <-> Noelle (Reason: They both have an important role in their respective games narrative and even if it would have more sense to choose Dess for this, I think Noelle is better) Chara <-> Dess (Reason: Both mysterious meta characters on their respective narratives. We know so fewer of them and that is enough for me to swap them. They are the cursed kids of their families)

IroTale - Chapter 3

Iro couldn’t find any motivation in Papyrus’ eyes. 

She lowered her swords, taking a break from the fight. Unlike the previous days they had trained together, Paps was only defending, not really giving it much thought, as if his head was elsewhere. 

Undye had continued to train them against their will. They both mutually hated her and did their best to practice without her. However, she provided a unique sense of combat they couldn’t get anywhere else, so they didn’t protest. 

It would be helpful to them one day. 

“Come on, brother.” Iro narrowed her eyes, bonking him in the head with a bone. “You’ve barely tried today.” 

“Not right now, sis,” Papyrus gently pushed the bone away, staring at the ground before following the path with his eyes. “I’m not in the mood.” 

Iro didn’t like that answer. “The enemy isn’t going to spare you just because you’re in a sour mood.” 

“I know what Undye said, I just…” his eyes soften. “I have the feeling something is horribly wrong.” 

Iro loved her brother, and she knew something wrong usually followed whenever he had a bad feeling. She envied his skill. “Come on, right now? Can we deal with it later?” 

Papyrus sighed, his brain turning with trying to decide what to do. “I suppose you’re right, and we can’t do anything about it. Let’s just deal with it once it comes to us.” 

“About time,” Iro sighed, swirling her swords again. 

When Iro dodged Papyrus’ attacks, she spotted King Asgore along the path her brother was looking before. “I see you’ve been practicing!” He called, rushing to join them. 

Both of the skeletons stopped what they were doing and bowed in respect. “Greetings, King Asgore.” They said in unison. 

King Asgore gave a lazy nod back. “You’re working hard. It’s clear both of you have incredible talent with the sword and hammer,” he smiled as he looked toward Papyrus and the big hammer he swung. “I wish to offer both of you a chance to join the royal guard and be the sole protectors of the prophesied humans that’ll show up.” 

“Really?!” Papyrus’ eyes gleamed, his dream coming true before his eyes. “That’s wonderful! Yes, I happily accept!” 

Iro recalled how her father instructed her not to believe in prophecies such as the fall of the six humans who were supposed to set them free. Although she knew they existed and that they might come, nothing ever ends like it is predicted, and she had to be ready for that. “What does this all entail?” 

“You will join me in the castle and be paid your fair wage to protect me and the inhabitants there. Oftentimes, I will have you track Toriel and her pathetic rebellion. You will even get to use your fighting skills occasionally.” 

Papyrus’ smile faded when he heard the details. “Oh, with all due respect, sir, I wish to stay with my father. He’s helped us tremendously, and I shan’t leave him at least without proper notice.” 

Iro wasn’t expecting the particular look that Asgore gave. “Well, yes, perhaps it would be best to…” he trailed off. “Ask him first. Why don’t we go do that now?” 

Why was he so eager about this now? “Sir,” Iro stepped forward. “Let us finish our training, and then we may head back with you. We have a certain protocol we must meet for Soldier Undye,” her tone unwillingly snapped at mentioning her name. “I’m sure Gaster will be able to work out the details with you.” 

“I’m sure he will have no issue with you staying with me,” Asgore smiled. “It will be necessary for the great and honorable tasks.” 

Papyrus started to look nervous. “But Undye-” 

“Cannot do anything unless I command her to do so. She is part of the royal guard, too, after all.” Asgore turned and walked along the path he came. “Come, that is an order.” 

Iro held in an annoyed sigh as she packed her swords behind her and shuffled after the king, Papyrus close behind. She tried to keep herself warm through Snowdin, but her neck constantly shivered. 

“Why are you shaking?” Papyrus asked, leaning towards her as they followed the king out of earshot. 

“It’s… cold…” Iro clenched her gloves, rubbing her bones. 

“I told you to bring that extra coat-” 

“Yeah, I know, you were right, okay?” Iro glanced away, sprinting to catch up with both of them again. 

Paps gave a low chuckle before he unwrapped the long light blue scarf from his neck. “Here, my scarf can help keep you warm.” He smiled, gently placing it on Iro’s head.

It was too big for her, trailing on the snow and covering most of her face. Iro had to peak through with her fingers to see where she was going. 

Papyrus had to stop laughing before stopping Iro and adjusting the scarf. “Here,” he wrapped a part of it around the upper half of her head to keep her warm and give her access to see. 

Not even Iro could understand what she said, and it came out as one big mumble. 

“Hey, you’ll grow into it!” Papyrus’ smile lit up the sky. “We are out of light blue cloth, but once I get the chance, I’ll make you your very own scarf!” 

Iro’s head felt lighter as she smiled at him. “Thanks, Paps. I love you.” 

Papyrus rubbed her head as he uttered the words back. His face continued to radiate with glee as the town came into sight. Iro loved being in a good mood and was glad whatever worried him previously had escaped his mind. 

She would do everything in her power to make sure Papyrus was happy.

Asgore eventually led them to the castle, showing them their rooms and the area where they would be staying. Both of the skeletons couldn’t deny that it was spectacular. The walls and ceiling were aligned with gems and valuables the children had never seen before. Even the floors were sprinkled with shades of gold and silver. Every room was expansive and comprehensive, and there were more food options than Iro could count on her hands, a change from the three meals she usually ate at home. 

Each room she and Papyrus would stay in was more prominent than their house combined. Her bed was humongous, and there was a desk, a dresser, and many other things Iro couldn’t quite identify. She felt she wouldn’t have time to enjoy sich an expansive room, but she couldn’t deny the bed was more comfortable than hers in her own home. 

However, a part of her liked the smaller house better. It was more communal, and it reassured her that she was never too far away from her dad. Everyone was with each other all the time, versus the impending isolation that hovered in the castle walls. 

Papyrus on the other hand seemed ecstatic. He was running down the halls shouting with joy. He barely stopped himself from colliding into Undye on the stairs as he did so, but he completely ignored that factor. “I’m a royal guard! I’m a royal guard!” He rejoiced, bouncing up and down. 

Iro and Undye exchanged a mutual glare as they passed each other on the stairs. It was clear they hated each other, but now that they shared the same occupation under the king, there wasn’t much that could be done. 

It would distract both of them from the real threat. 

“This is amazing, Iro!” Papyrus ran up to her and grabbed her hands. “Wait until we tell father about this!” 

“I-” Iro paused, holding her tongue. “...I’m sure he will be very happy and proud for us…” 

She didn’t like lying to her brother, but she didn’t want to ruin the joy on his face. Iro recalled the disagreements Asgore and Gaster had, how they didn’t always get along… It bothered her, but she wasn’t one to get involved in that, as that was adult talk. Besides, perhaps Gaster would be proud of them, and she would’ve destroyed her brother’s joy over nothing by telling him the truth. 

“Come on! Let’s go tell him!” He started to lead her through the halls. 

They didn’t get very far before Asgore asked them how they liked the castle. He urged them to sign the contract to join the royal guard before they left, but Papyrus - to Iro’s surprise - refused. 

“Hey, we shouldn’t sign anything just yet because we must discuss this wonderful opportunity with our father!” He gleamed. “I want him to be a part of this too!” 

“Rest assured that you two are old enough and strong enough to make this decision on your own, without your father’s input.” Asgore insisted, handing the contract to Iro.

Iro simply dropped it to the floor. “Forgive me, sire, but I prefer the word ‘guidance’ be used with our father, as he has been nothing but kind to us and we will require his input before proceeding.” Proceeding. Huh, that’s the big word I learned a few days ago. 

Asgore sighed in annoyance, picking up the contract and setting them on a nearby table. His narrow eyes and long beard didn’t help with his sour look. “The contracts will be here when you change your mind, they will always be open to such talented monsters like yourself.” 

When we change our mind? What happened to if? 

Papyrus nodded in thanks and dragged Iro off before she could object. 

Iro couldn’t tell Papyrus what was racing through their head as they headed home. She couldn’t even formulate words. Asgore’s tone was one she’d normally lean towards trusting, and obeying, because he was the king after all. 

But a part of her didn’t think it was a good idea. 

“Not to worry about whatever you’re thinking about,” Papyrus smiled. “Dad will help it make sense, dad will fix it! He will know what to do!” 

Gaster always knew what to do. 

Iro wanted nothing more than a hug from him at the moment. It had been a long day, and she wanted to feel her father’s comfort. 

A smile covered her face as they approached their small home in Snowdin, having traveled a long way through Hotland. Iro gave Papyrus back his scarf as he opened the door. 

Their souls stopped beating when they were greeted with disaster. 

Couches were burned and half of it was missing. Almost all of their windows were cracked if not shattered. Belongings were thrown across the floor, and everything in sight was broken. 

Papyrus panicked. “DAD?!” He screamed, running into the house. 

Iro took a more cautious approach, avoiding all the sharp objects exposed on the floor. “Father?!” 

There was no reply. 

The only things that were untouched were the children’s rooms and their belongings. Everything else was torn apart from the aftermath of a battle. Despite the skeleton’s crying out for their father, searching endlessly for hours, there was no sign of Gaster. It was as if he vanished out of thin air. 

Iro felt tears running down her face, unable to control the sobs escaping her throat. Who would do this? What did we ever do? 

I’m gonna kill them…

“It’s okay, it’s okay,” Papyrus’ hands pressed against his face in stressed. “Maybe he’s at the lab. Maybe he’s okay and it was just our house destroyed.” 

Deep down, Iro couldn’t get herself to believe that. 

“Father?!” He shouted one more time before tears fell down his own face. “...We have to try the lab, we have to…” He couldn’t finish before he dashed out the door. 

Iro would’ve immediately followed if the gleam of something familiar didn’t catch her eye. Through her tears, she spotted her father’s research notebook. It was torn and burned. 

He never leaves that unintended… He always carried it with him to the lab. 

Just as she feared, it wasn’t long before Alphys came running toward them to break the news to them. 

Gaster was gone.

“Such unfortunate circumstances happen, but you and your brother have my condolences.” 

Iro couldn’t look Asgore in the eyes, she couldn’t even look straight and see things clearly with how much water escaped her eye sockets. Her heart wrenched with pain, and she couldn’t escape its claws. She wanted to wake up from this nightmare. She wanted to run into her father’s arms and cry. But according to Alphys’ reports, he was attacked, and he was killed… 

I’m going to avenge his death… 

Papyrus insisted that he couldn’t be dead, as he saw no dust remains in the house upon inspection, but it didn’t take much to break Papyrus’ spirit as well, because the simple fact was that his father was gone. 

No matter what anyone did, they couldn’t comfort the children. They signed Asgore’s contracts with solemn faces, as they no longer had a choice. They barely ate, they barely slept, and the only person they wished to talk to was Alphys. They wanted answers. 

But she couldn’t give them any. 

Asgore suggested that they started training immediately to get their minds off of their grief. But it didn’t help. 

Nothing helped. 

Paps couldn’t get over the fact that he could be killed, or just leave, or whatever happened. 

And Iro would never forgive herself that she wasn’t there to help. 

She never got to say goodbye.

Me here again!! I got another headcanon, but this time for Beta!! (This is the angst one I was warning you about yesterday)

Even though we don't know much about Beta's past (or any of the Soul's, for that matter), I personally imagine that they were abused as a child, and that's why they went up to Mt. Ebbot; to escape and not have to go back. They most likely stayed with Toriel for a very long time due to her treating him with genuine motherly kindness.

And now that they're fused with Delta, in this context it would explain the immediate push to have Delta start protecting as many people as they could as soon as possible. Basically, Delta became the person Beta needed as a child and Beta grew up into what he needed as a child - a protector. And even though they couldn't have had it for themselves as a child, they want other kids to have it, making both Delta and Beta incredibly good with handling kids of all ages and protecting them specifically.

Also, I think the headcanon you had about Beta having a stuffed Mufasa toy as a comfort item is amazing, so I'm gonna be taking that idea on a bit of a different route.

Beta probably wasn't allowed to have toys as a child, but if he ever did get one, then they'd be taken/broken/thrown out as a form of punishment if their parent thought they messed up. And because of this, Beta is VERY PROTECTIVE of his Mufasa plush. No one other than Delta (and sometimes not even him) is allowed to touch it unless they're giving it to him. (They probably found this out the hard way, such as if Beta lost the plush somewhere in the house or if they found Zorox playing with it and Beta freaked out.)

They would probably have specific mannerisms that reflect the effects of the abuse, such as always walking quietly or trying to de-escalate arguments. They might react strongly to certain items or senses, such as cigars/cigarette smoke, belts, broken glass, loud noises, alcohol, or other common triggers for abuse victims. (I also like to think that Delta would refrain from drinking any form of alcohol if he knew it affected/triggered Beta. Because no matter how much he wants to do his own thing, he doesnt want to hurt the kid in the process.)

Beta most likely never talks about his past life or any memories from it, due to silence being a heavily ingrained traumatic reaction, but also because of the shame that comes with surviving/escaping childhood abuse - especially for someone with the bravery Soul, because in Beta's mind, they may think what they experienced was their fault or something they could have stopped, and yet they were too weak/scared to (he doesn't know it's not his fault).

Also due to this, whenever Delta gets into a verbal argument with any of his friends, I imagine Beta's immediate reaction is to either hide and get away from it, or try to diffuse the situation. This is the one and only time they see Beta actually trying to de-escalate a situation instead of encouraging it, especially if the argument starts getting heated/violent. Sometimes it depends on what the argument is about, but usually if it's something petty or easily fixable, Beta will immediately step in and try to stop the argument. Delta has resorted to simply just not arguing around the kid.

Now, another symptom of childhood abuse is nightmares. And we've already decided that Delta and Beta share nightmares and memories, meaning Delta now knows about it through them. Beta panicked when the shared nightmare about his past abuse happened the first time, and even more so when Delta brought it up. So, Delta simply doesn't bring it up unless Beta does it first, not wanting to scare the kid.

(I imagine Beta eventually would start opening up to Delta about it, especially as the stress of Delta knowing something Beta finds incredibly personal and shameful brings on even MORE nightmares, which only ends up hurting Beta more. Eventually, the kid decides to bite the bullet and just sit Delta down and explain the reason for the nightmares. He doesn't provide details, but Delta can tell it was pretty bad by the way they see Beta holding himself, as if to protect himself from being struck.)

I also think that because of the extent of the abuse Beta suffered, he already knows how to do some medical things. More than what Color taught them to deal with regarding the burns. They know how much Tylenol and Ibuprofen to take and for how long, how to wrap a splint, how to use a tourniquet, etc. But most importantly - and concerningly - they how to hide bruises and welts with concealer. Delta is concerned, to say the least.

Epic and Color don't know about it, as Delta doesn't want to betray the kid's trust by telling them rather than letting Beta tell them himself, but they notice how Delta always moves into a different room to argue with someone so Beta doesn't have to hear it (and if he cant move, Delta will literally wait to start yelling until Beta is out of the room - but if Beta cant leave for some reason, then he simply just wont yell at all) or how Beta's immediate reaction to tension of any kind is to try to escape or ease it.

They see how tense Beta gets when they hear a door slam, how they instinctively cling to whatever is near them, whether it be Delta or their Mufasa plush, almost as if to hide, but then once it's over they rush to brush it off so no one notices. They see how hard Beta flinches if he thinks yelling is directed at him, and how quickly Delta steps in front of him to protect and defend them. They notice how badly Beta reacts when they see Delta get physically punched in a fight. They see how both Delta and Zorox subtly try to protect and reassure the kid that he won't be hurt.

Epic and Color have questioned Delta about it, but he refuses to give then anything more than a vague answer, explaining that unless the kid specifically asks them to explain it for him, it should be something Beta should explain to them once he's ready while also not alluding to what it is that Beta would need to explain.

Until, that is, they're all hanging out (probably with Zorox as well) and the group sees a parent yelling and berating their kid in public, maybe at a park or something, with the silent threat of physical violence that only other victims can pick up on.

Epic and Color stare for a bit, but eventually turn back. They can't see the silent, looming threat of violence towards the child. And, oblivious, they turn back to Delta and Beta, not thinking much of it.

Until they see Beta, looking like they're either going to have a panic attack, or try to attack the parent/defend the kid (or both at the same time), physically shaking and glowing violently with rage, about to forcibly swap out with a very concerned Delta so he can go beat the shit out of the abuser himself.

On one hand, Delta wants so badly to let Beta take over so they can go help the kid. But on the other, there are too many potential witnesses, and it would most likely traumatize the other child, not to mention that they'd probably get arrested. Beta does not take this logic well and starts to lose his temper.

And yet, to Epic and Color's surprise, Delta stays completely calm. He doesn't get upset when Beta starts to freak out and get angry that he can't go fight the parent, he stays completely calm. Doesn't even seem like he's masking irritation or annoyance. Just tries to calm Beta down and gently explain why they can't do what he wants to do. Delta may not be the best at communication, but he's able to do it in this instance.

And unfortunately for everybody, Delta also has to be the one to remind Beta what happens when abusers get confronted - the victim gets blamed, and hurt even worse for breaking the silence. Especially when the victim is a kid.

Beta does not take this reminder well.

It takes the group, including Zorox, the rest of the day to calm poor Beta down.

Thoughts?

I think you and I were on a similar wavelength into possible outcomes for Beta’s past, and what could’ve possibly motivated them to climb Mt.Ebbott.

I also considered the possibility that maybe Beta fell some time after another of the fallen children went missing after climbing the mountain. Perhaps Beta was actually the third child to go missing on the mountain, third human to fall, but the second or third to be captured.

I had a thought that at some point, Beta had the thought of trying to find out either what went on the mountains or what happened to the missing kid(s). Perhaps Beta initially climbed the mountain and jumped in an attempt to escape, and as you said, spent a long time being happy in the Ruins with Toriel.

Until Beta learned what happened to the children, the souls before them. And perhaps Beta, being both a soul of bravery and an abused child searching for a way to prove themself or find a reason to keep going, maybe they decided to leave Toriel because they wanted to confront Asgore and save the other SOULs.

Somewhat similar to the way I HC Something New Chara’s “fall from grace,” both Chara and Beta made a dangerous choice an attempt to free and save others, but was also a self destructive way for the two abused kids to try and “be good” or “worth something.” Chara chose to die in an attempt to free the Underground, Beta risked death to try and free the other human SOULs.

Maybe Beta believed their family would finally love them if they came back home a hero.

Maybe they even believed that Asgore wouldn’t harm them or kill them, most children don’t believe an adult would want to kill them, let alone actually do it.

Or maybe, Beta viewed Asgore to be just like their parents; using their age and bigger bodies to hurt everyone. And Beta wanted to stand up to the “King Bully.” And couldn’t do what Toriel wanted them to do anymore, ignoring how Asgore has hurt kids and will likely hurt them eventually one day in favor of “cowering away” in the Ruins.

And maybe Beta’s leaving Toriel is something they’ve always regretted, especially if their separation ended in an argument where they said some harsh words they didn’t mean to her. And now they’re never able to take them back, or attempt to make it up to her.

And also I really like how you delved into how Beta’s possible past abuse effects their current life now (Delta’s protectiveness and understanding and respecting of their privacy is adorable and something I really like), and I can possibly see Beta attempting to find the kid who’s parent was yelling at them sometime and try to befriend them once Beta’s anger and fear of the kid’s parent manages to simmer down.

Or maybe Delta does it for Beta, because Beta cannot control their anger around the kid’s parent, so instead Delta reaches out to the kid and tries to offer a hand, an open door. Maybe even try to gather enough evidence to get child protective services involved in an attempt to protect and save the kid, in a way no one ever did for Beta when they were alive with their abusive parent(s).

I can also see Delta and Beta (Cross and XChara too, as they are also victims of childhood abuse. Possibly Epic as well because Epic!Gaster seemed like a horrible father), becoming something similar to those bikers who support abused children when testifying against their abusers in court, and Zorox as well—often coming along so testifying abuse victims can have a cute dog to pet and cuddle while they do something incredibly scary and incredibly brave by attempting to bring their tormenters to justice.

Maybe Beta even lets the kids hold their Mufasa stuffy because Mufasa is very brave and not scared of anything or anyone, just like the kids.

And the thought of Beta showing other kids how to take care of their injuries and their hide their wounds/bruises to keep themselves safe is a saddening one.

Pawprint gains a sort of honorary royal status due to his strong familial bond with Asriel and Toriel, rather than through lineage or formal inheritance. While he doesn't see himself as someone with royal duties or titles, others may view him as being linked to the royal family of PetTale. So, he could be seen as a protector and a member of the "royal pack," but he stays grounded in his role as a guardian rather than a ruler.

SacredFell Lore

I'm here to explain what my AU is about! What the difference between my AU and just regular Underfell.

So! The story is the same as the Undertale storyline for the True Pasifest route but the beginning of it all if different.

The monsters has the war with the humans and was cast down into the underground. That's when Chara comes down and the whole event with Asriel happens. Asgore mourns for his children and of course wants revenge on the humans.

Each child that falls, there life gets taken, there soul. Asgore became OBESSESSED with the souls. He was more on edge because his people were rioting and growing impatient of how long they been waiting to be set free. Asgore then considered these souls as SACRED. Because they are the key to the monsters freedom...how they can become powerful. Toriel of course didn't really like the idea of killing children but she didn't say anything.

I included my own character into this lore named Yukki. (She was my very first OC so I base my username off her) She was portaled into the underground (ill reveal her backstory if my au goes well...heh) and she was extremely weak and her powers were drained.

She made it to snowdin but clasp in the process, Sans and Papyrus found her and took her to Asgore. This was it...the final soul. The Royal Guard, Toriel, and Asgore stared at her. Weak and helpless. Asgore lifted his spear.

Toriel, she just couldn't take it anymore. Toriel ended up blasting fire to the floor that spread, she snatch Yukki and ran. While Toriel was om the run, she wanted to slow the process of freedom so she took one of the souls. Soul of kindness. She left Yukki behind a waterfall and fled to the ruins.

Asgore was angry. He was furious. The last soul escape, one was stolen. He couldn't let something so sacred be taken away again. So he appointed the souls to a protector. Each soul embedded with magic into his top Royal Guard.

While Toriel stole the soul of Kindness.

Asgore placed a bounty on Toriel head, her to be alive and returned home. Asgore fell into despair, his souls were taken, his freedom for his people were taken.

Yukki ended up healing up and finding her way back to Snowdin. Sans and Papyrus try capturing her but she dodges them so easily. Power wise it drains her. Asgore was informed of this so he told them to gain her trust, use her when the time comes. So she lives with them now..what choice does she even have? She has no where else to go.

After maybe a year or two.

Frisk fell into the underground and that's where the story starts.

I'm still working on this AU so I really hope it blows up. This story means alot to me.

The alliance is called: Hoshikarygadian.

She is the leader of said alliance.

The mission of the alliance is to protect and maintain the balance of the multiverse, peace and harmony.

Real age: 21 years

(Eraxsukuxuy was previously original Subtertale Sans).

(Eraxsukuxuy AU is called: Shiperaxpatertale).

Who is she?:

In Shiperaxpatertale...Sans, after several genocidal routes carried out by Lyra, lost a bit of his sanity.

Also he got post-traumatic stress because he saw his brothers, his friend Toriel and all the monsters in the underground die over and over and over again all those times.

This Sans had a drastic plan to stop Lyra forever. The plan was as follows:

He would save his brothers: Papyrus and Stelliny from being killed by Lyra.

After saving them, Sans told them to go to the barrier and not move from there until he arrived.

After that, they both listened to Sans and left.

Sans once the two left, teleported to Alphys's laboratory, where he injected himself with an immense amount of determination and gave himself a little fragment of Rocío's divine essence that he found in a jar.

After that...he transformed into a half-divine human girl.

After all this...she teleported to the courtroom and once Lyra got there...the fight began.

After the fight...she kills Lyra and after Lyra returns...she tells her that she has to do a reset and do the pacifist route and after doing it...destroy the reset.

Lyra after listening to her decides not to obey her and attacks.

She dodges the attack and becomes angry and grabs Lyra's soul and teleports to the determination extractor and there she extracts all the determination and then kills her definitively.

After that...she teleports to the barrier and uses her determination and the human souls to break the barrier and after that she and her brothers go to the surface.

Once on the surface...she explains everything that happened to them in a way that they both understand.

At first they don't understand anything but after she explains it to them again...they both understand.

Currently...she and her siblings live in her Au in Jasuttisuville.

She is a half-divinity human girl with an ethereal, dark and fearsome figure.

Her hair is long, black and magenta.

Her eyes change between dark red and dark yellow.

A jet black and purple liquid falls from her eyes.

She is not very cruel and murderous, although she occasionally shows doubts, regret and empathy with anyone and also with her allies.

She created an alliance with Hokorytertale Sans, Hokorytertale Stelliny, Hizumikiyugyx, Yamynodarakushatertale Sans and Yamynodarakushatertale Stelliny.

The alliance is called: Jigokarymihakai.

She is the leader of said alliance.

The mission of this alliance is: to destroy the balance of the multiverse and peace and harmony because she lost all peace, hope and harmony of her Au and also because she hates knowing that all this exists in the multiverse.

This... this is absolutely has to be one of my favourite depictions of Frisk and Chara in an AU without a Player.

Frisk is just a kid being attacked on all sides. Their scared and Chara being attached to them also picks up on that fear. Together they lash out because they are KIDS who are scared and when even the Kind Sweet Lady Toriel who baked them pie and Chara called Mum once upon a time literally throws fire balls at them because Frisk dared to want to leave (Is it possible to died in that fight. Only once but still!!))

Of course they are scared! They can't be older then 12 or so.

Best version of them no evil murder children. Just scared trauma beans.

I've always wanted to write Frisk and Chara through a psychological point of view. I see them as poor, misunderstood and misguided kids who suffered from trauma and abuse in their previous lives. Therefore it reflected on their broken souls in the Underground, when facing violence from the monsters. All they see is everyone wanting to hurt them again and not knowing what's going on

So yeah, they're just trauma beans who feel a lot of regret and who aren't aware what's wrong or right, and need someone to guide them towards the right direction. They need love. Chara is the protector who's emotions are out of control and Frisk is a lost little child who's very touch-starved.

But yeah enough of me rambling hehe, thank you so much for reading my comic 🙏🏼💕
