so REVENGE, HUH? or justice, if that makes you feel better. it tastes the same when cooked just right. 'I REALLY WANTED A BROTHER.' such a shame to burn a bridge you so desperately wanted to keep, especially when it wasnt even you who started the fire. especially when you hope that not a single fragment of that bridge ever washes ashore.[MAY IT ROT FAR FROM MY SIGHTS] an unfortunate loss! atleast he has his friends.

fundamentally i do think a big part of the reason spike is such a more interesting character than his many bargain bin imitators that have cropped up over the years is because the writers simply could not agree on who he was or what the fans should think of him. spike would not be nearly as good a character if it weren't for david fury's disdain for him or joss whedon's resentment of him or jane espenson's love for him etc. none of those individual writers could write spike but together with the other buffyverse writers they managed to create a very compelling, if admittedly sometimes confusingly written, character. many bargain bin spikes otoh are written by writing teams who all uncritically love them and want the fans to love them too and that is simply not how a proper spike should be written...it's just not!

I recently got the Mass Effect games, and I’m already a little attached to the Shepard I came up with so far. So this is my dude Lennon (usually just called ‘Len’ casually) Shepard. The idea I’ve got so far is that he’s the group’s local weirdo cryptid dude that knows a little too much about messing with security systems for comfort.

I’m not too far into the games at the moment, so I probably won’t be able to do much story-based art just yet. But I just love this dude already and I had to draw him sooner rather than later.

Concept: Shepard in her cabin, drinking whiskey and flirting with Garrus on the comms while she answers her emails and he calibrates the guns down in the battery, both of them blissfully unaware that her omnitool currently has bluetooth auto-pair turned on and their ✨flirty banter✨ is currently being broadcast shipwide through the normandy's internal PA system

finished some actual drawings of my fem shep! her name is anjali shepard. she was a colony kid and a war hero - a shame she's a bit of a closed off "i owe my life to the alliance so work always comes first" paragon.

didn't take to dying and being resurrected too well and has a bit of a decline into the renegade side of things before loosening up and Getting Better in me3

can we bring back procedurals? or at least just proper shows like how TV used to be? 5 to 15 seasons, a generous amount of episodes per season, 45 minutes: the sweet spot between too long and too short, pilot episodes that are wildly different from the rest of the show, filler episodes that overall contribute nothing but are extremely fun because that is what god intended, random musical episode, crossovers, waiting an entire week in anticipation to see what happens next, like, this was the PEAK of television, where did we go wrong
