ive been thinking . how do u feel abt abhirohan as a prongsfoot variant .., it doesnt make sense until it does

youre so golden i was literally watch stoy (only the gay parts) (so like. all of it,) yesterday and thinking of this . rohan as sirius (obviously) and abhi as james (kinda). pleaseee i love sirius x poor boy and its okay james isnt poor because his Rich is different from sirius' rich (new vs old money) and like yeah !!! theyre so hot . im so in love with them . Sometimes. Not every best friends from different medias are prongsfoot variants. Like girl what do you mean Jake Peralta and Doug are prongsfoot coded. No those two mice from Cinderella aren't prongsfoot either. Spongebob and Patrick?????????? What Is Going On.

I think it's because since James and sirius are best friends, they just go "aw!! Such cute best friends :))" and just try to say every platonic best friends from different media are prongsfoot variants (but of course wolfstar is Cathy and heathcliff. And jegulus is Achilles and Patroclus— I'm NOT even kidding when I say that people have made those comparisons lmao)

Do any MCU and Marauders fans think that Shang Chi and Xialing give off Black Brothers vibes??? Was rewatching the movie today, and the Marauders brain rot was going crazy.

Like Shang Chi ran away when he was 14 years old because his dad was sending him on a dangerous mission for the Ten Rings that he didn't wanna do? Okay, Sirius Black.

Xialing waited 6 years before she realized her brother wasn't coming back for her? Ouch? It's giving...

The Mandarin/Wenwu is such a Walburga Black variant. Like we hate him, and he's evil, and he abused his kids (neglect for Xialing's part) after the death of their mother. BUT we can still see that he loves them in his own sick and twisted way. Plus, there's the favoritism he has for Shang Chi that adds onto Xialing's resentment of her brother. Like, okayyyy, Black Family trauma.

Xialing also is just so Regulus. Her whole "I don't need anybody", "My family sucks so I push everyone away", badass dark-haired, loner thing is just Regulus Black incarnate.

PLUS. That would make Katy the James in this situation and... Listen, I don't like Awkwafina, but a lot of her characters give off James Potter vibes, guys. When she starts singing when she's in danger to use "the art of confusion" against enemies.... That feels very Crimson Rivers James tbh. Her and Shang Chi give off Prongsfoot so hard.

OH MY GOD, and the dude with like 2 minutes of screen time from Xialing's fight ring. Jon Jon? That's Barty Crouch Jr. if I've ever seen him.

- sirius is demisexual. ever since crimson rivers that’s the only way i see his character

- pandora is autistic!

- lily has horrible anxiety and copes in not so healthy ways. girl is the definition of works too hard, she’ll stay up all night studying, drink red bull to get through the day, and neglect everything else in order to do well

- dorlene match each other’s freaks! dorcas is batshit crazy for marlene, marlene is batshit crazy for dorcas

so i actually don't dislike any of these, but i am still excited to rank them omg. also, i never intended to make a long ass list LMAO. it was supposed to be a small thing, but i got a little invested

wolfstar - i really do hate to be basic, but they'll always go right to the top for me <3

jily - it was very hard for me to put this here for some reason, but it had to be done. mainly because i am obsessed with every jily variant ever in sitcoms and stuff (if you squint, there'll always be a jily variant in a sitcom/comedy), plus they were the first ever couple i obsessively read ffs about a few years ago, so they really got me into fandom spaces

rosekiller - very superficially, i see them as wolfstar, but psychotic and slytherin and clinically insane. also, i love their canon story and how fucked up they are as people. i think the fandom really needed some nuance to it, and these characters very much bring it.

jegulus - love jeggy :) my babies. perfect trope tbh. theyre amazing and in love!

marylily - this one was actually very very hard. i dont knoww. i love dorlene and pandalily, but i feel that marylily is a bit closer to my heart. for so long i would have put pandalily before marylily, but i think because i've written marylily fanfics now, i feel like i know them very well. whereas pandalily is a little more distant from me. (overall though, i definitely enjoy the pandalily trope more)

pandalily - it kills me that i'm ranking dorlene so low, i know. but ugh. god. i love pandalily. theyre so adorbs. theyre so lovely. both pandora and lily as seperate characters are just so beautiful.

dorlene - love them. they're messy and yearning and intensely in love. they're two hearts pulsing to the same beat, but ripped out of their chest and bleeding. idk. theyre great. i love dorlene, though it actually took me a while to, bc when i first joined the fandom i was insanely invested in marylene. (still am)

bartylus - i think they're great, but i much prefer the one sided bartylus. barty yearning over regulus, but regulus being oblivious and far too gone for james.

prongsfoot - mmmm yeah. i understand why others might ship it, but i love them only as a friendship. that being said, they're very much my favourite friendship in the entire fandom, and god they just make me want to sob for hours.
