You don’t have to face the hard things alone anymore.

I was Bribed

I remember memorizing many scripture verses as a child. We were “bribed” by our Sunday School teachers to learn and quote them by heart. If we did, we’d receive prizes and rewards. And the LORD hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments; Deuteronomy 26:18

The Israelites were on the verge of entering the promised land. Moses was not to enter with them, so he had been reviewing with them all that God had done for them and the commandments he had given them. They were chosen by God to be his people, set apart from other nations.

By this time, as God had said, all those who refused to enter the land the first time were gone, save Joshua and Caleb. In 40 years of wandering around in the wilderness, God had provided everything they needed, protected them from their enemies and dangers, and gave them precepts to live by. Under Joshua's leadership, they were now ready to go into the land.

Hear what Joshua later said:

And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof. Joshua 23:14

God keeps his promises, all of them!

I am a Christian, I believe in Christ the son. I had a traumatic religious experience, but no matter how bad it's effecting my view point on religion I will never give up on God.

God is good, God is a way maker, God is a miracle worker, He really is light in the darkness. God is love, He is all things good.

(This is not a post of me trying to convert people to Christianity it's me sharing who I am, and something that inspired me in a time of darkness myself. Trying to connect better bc my relationship with God feels so distant from him right now.)
