Surprise the poll was determining doing Vide character moodboads, and we had a four way tie xD So I'll just slowly do them all. Mama's Gun got the first vote, so first up is the one shaping up to be a main antagonist - Elianna!

Third of four children, third daughter to parents who wanted a son to carry on their father's legacy - it's little wonder that, for all her material security, Elianna has always felt so very unfulfilled.

She has her ways of trying to fill that void, of course - she tries harder than either of her older sisters ever have, does everything she can to be the perfect daughter, eager to help around the house, always quick to share who may be responsible for some wrongdoing, always on top of her schoolwork and perfectly obedient to her teachers. (And if she gets a little grabby with the toys, or doesn't bother to fact check news before she spreads it around - well, who'd believe that of her, anyway? She's such a good little girl.)

Ellie's only a little resentful of how much focus her brother gets, how he's poised to take over her father's church someday. Her father is a little old-fashioned that way, and if nothing else - the Lord's plan will come to fruition, and she has good reason to believe the Lord's plan is perhaps not the same as her father's. That her love for Rachel is no sin, but indeed a holy calling, for what greater force is there than love, for turning wayward hearts? They're meant to be, she's certain of this - just as certain as she is, that she is destined to lead a congregation that is no mere guiding light, but that will usher in a new, wonderous era for all the world.

I did not know how long had passed, I found myself drifting. Mist clouding my thoughts, a whirling storm in the night.

The sharpness of my existence blurred as my mind wandered past the physical.

The hard wood floor beneath my feet, sunken and old, a test of meaningless time.

The room around insignificant to my experience, set in immense emptiness .

My senses failed me sometime of the moment I found myself here. Something deep inside stirred, unable to breathe. Escape.

Distorted, I was on the verge, the edge of my existence or sanity I did not know. I strained to focus on the moonbeams spilling onto that sunken surface below me. The blanket of stars mocking my existence with their enormity. I was lost, long lost, un able for redemption as I stared upon the stars. A vastness unable of comprehension.

Words repeating, repeating, repeating in my mind. Racing. As I tried to make sense of it all before all sense was lost. I strained on those mocking stars as my eyes became heavy.

This is a spoken part of a new song I’m writing 🤭hope you guys like it.

tiny!demonzai who, when not controlling chuuya, likes to sit in his breast pocket, on his shoulder, or in his hair to just give him "suggestions" (blatantly wrong things) on how to handle situations to watch how chuuya struggles to keep his temper in check

tiny!demonzai who transforms in big!demonzai at the least convenient times or just becomes much much louder and more obnoxious in the most inappropriate circumstances he can

tiny!demonzai who is just as stubborn as chuuya but is horrendously petty

tiny!demonzai who baits chuuya into situations he can control and easily possess him (or just plain manipulate with words)

tiny!demonzai who almost gets swallowed by a cat and gets laughed at by chuuya until the (stupid!!) mortal doubles over clutching his side and tiny has to possess him and be petty

Demonic possession skk AU but Dazai wants Chuuya to do stupid, petty things like steal snacks from the convenience store because things taste better when free

Also, after a night of staying up late watching cheesy horror movies, Dazai compelling Chuuya to stay home from work the next day.

He cackles like a moustache-twirling villain when Chuuya crosses the road after the light turns red and holds up traffic.

Also, tiny!demonzai sitting on Chuuya's shoulder because he gets a nice view of the world and constantly asks Chuuya what he's eating while out at a restaurant by himself. At one point he's really interested in the pastry Chuuya's eating, and ask-demands for a bite, lil demon tail waving around in excitement and his eyes sparkling. Chuuya tears off a tiny piece to get Dazai to shut up.

He also demands for the world's tiniest comb to brush his hair with, and Chuuya runs into a dilemma since he doesn't know where he would get the world's tiniest comb when tiny!demonzai just barely fits in the palm of his hand. Chuuya improvises by taking clothes and accessories from dress-up dolls to give to Dazai. Dazai's too lazy to become human-sized.

One day Chuuya looks in the mirror after waking up, and as he's about to splash water on his face, he says to himself, "Man, I look terrible."

He hears a tiny voice, "Yeah, you do. But we're in this together, don't worry."

As someone can see, I'm back in the DB universe. On my trip I read a FF that I liked, and since I was working on this picture anyway, it's fitting that I dedicate my picture to the story of mawr_blaidd_drwg "L'appel du Vide" on AO3

The thing about Lord Huron, is that they really seem to love what they do and put so much creativity into their projects. Like, the songs on their own are great, but then there's also things like products of the universe, the vide noir movie, live from the whispering pines, the music video(s) for your other life/ton autre vie, the void, etc.

Its just so cool and fun! It really lets you feel immersed in the different worlds. It just really feels like a genuine passion project every time <33

Rachel Ram

What if this does not belong to you

And all those things you thought were true

Turned out to just be someone else's lies?

I still have no idea how I'm actually formatting this project or anything, but fuck it, every bit of creating and musing on it helps, right? So - character board for the main character & POV of Vide - Rachel Ram, later known as Sidney Shepard.

The funny thing is, Sid doesn't consider Rachel as a deadname, not really. Rachel was... well. She was.

Rachel liked exploring the woods and studying bugs and watching stolen scary movies when she could play hooky from church or school. She spent way too much money on rigged games in the arcade, then way too much time digging through long-lost closets and crawlspaces when the place was shut down and abandoned. Rachel wrote shitty poetry and drew weird shit in journals she kept sandwiched between the mattress and boxspring, she loved Goosebumps and Scary Stories to Tell In The Dark, and was fascinated by folklore and mythology; the ideas of living gods or spirits lurking in the air, the grass, the rivers and seas.

Rachel was scared and lonely and so, so very brave, because she kept going, and kept dreaming of a future, even if she wasn't sure what form it would - could - take. She wanted to be a musician when she grew up, or maybe an actor or a comic artist, and have three (exactly) dogs.

Sid has done a lot of shitty, less than legal things in her life, and she's hoping to add 'vandalizing a grave' to that list one of these days - though, is it vandalizing, when it's your own? Either way - Rachel isn't dead, isn't gone - just grown up and changed, no different than the grubs and catterpillars she tried (and often - but not always - failed) to raise. A unique, distinct phase that deserves a hell of a lot better than being some empty casket.

(Thanks for the votes! :D Yeah the poll was 'I have a couple vague moodboard ideas but can't choose' lmao. I'll do the Deconstructing Gods one at another point - or put it to another poll depending on what else from the playlist might strike me!)

Spoilers Thoughts on Dr. Harley Sawyer!

PoppyPlaytime Chapter 4 Spoilers!

We got to learn more about the Doctor and his cruel intentions on his experiments. He view them as nothing more as projects, it didn't matter if they were children. Typically Mad scientist vides.

But what I find very fascinating was the tape of Dr. Sawyer woke up and became just a brain or body parts scattered around the prison.

This is very important part, because we got to see the doctor vulnerable side.

In this moment, he stated "Oh no, they didn't. Backstabbing traitors." He refers to Leith Pierre and the others.

But this is where I find it so interesting is when Dr. White spoke, "Dr. Sawyer. Can you hear me?"

Dr. Sawyer was in complete shock, his voice cracks from disbelief that Dr. White betrayed him. It sounds like he didn't expect him to betray him like that.

I wonder what relationship these two have. Not implying romantic relations ( I mean it would be cool to see a Gay mad scientist, but I highly doubt it) But they work together. And by the sound of Dr. Sawyer feeling so betrayed by Dr. White more than the fact he expected to be betrayed by anyone else. I wonder what was their relationship, how much did Dr. Sawyer share with Dr. White? Were they close friends?

Because from the beginning Dr. Sawyer already gave cruel, evil scientist. Even lying, and manipulating the children for the sake of the projects.

I wonder how Dr. White gotten close to Dr. Sawyer? Or how Dr. Sawyer allow this trust be built?

Because Dr. Sawyer sounds like a massive A-HOLE. It was either his way or no way.

On the tape about 1322 B (I believed), the tape about Kevin. The scientist talks about how he's worried about picking this child to be Doey. The fact that Doey is 900 pounds of dough, and at any moment Kevin would lash out. Yet, despite the warning, Dr. Sawyer did not give two shits about this. He thought it was perfect! How was that perfect? In the end, they all follow what he said.

I wonder what happened to Dr. White, if he turned into a toy as well or was murdered in the hour of joy? Hmm.

Sorry that there are no x reader fics from me, but I’ve never gone for it since it’s just not my style, though I have read many in general before. Every time I’ve given it a try there’s simply something that doesn’t quite work, like it’s not compatible with the way I write.
