Heart Heist

This one is my main project right now - a game about working together on a heist, while competing with each other to date a dragon. I'm currently building up to a soft launch via zine. The rules text is mostly complete, all that's left is the remaining artwork and final formatting. Some time after the zine release will be the full release with more guidance and content.

Micro-Game Jam

This one might have to be shelved :( I had an idea for a tabletop game jam I wanted to host, but it relied on certain aspects of twitter's format that might not be useable or even exist in the near future. Maybe if I find another platform that suitably replicates the format and restrictions of pre-2022 twitter...

Supplemental Content

I've been running TTRPGs for... a long time. Over the years I've amassed a lot of pretty detailed settings, homebrew materials, and the like. Quite a lot of it would make for good supplemental material if I polish it off. I get a kick out of rereading years old campaign notes anyway, so I think I'll do just that. Starting with a D&D 5e paladin subclass, and maybe a setting guide for a city built out of magic garbage later.

Project TOF

Almost every tabletop designer has their D&D-but-better* heartbreaker game they wish they could make. This one is mine. I've relegated this one to the back-burner, and it's best that it stay there for a looooong time. But I still poke at it from time to time.

Hey guys! I thought this would be a nice way to make a more...evenly (?) formatted masterlist or sorts.

So in this essay I will...

This is just a nice compilation of everything, but also including my mini introduction and details on my ask section and future projects!

So, first things first, hi. It's me, your boy—

The name's Pluto, or just Abby if you're more comfortable with a "normal" sounding name. You can use either, to be honest. I'm twenty-three at the time of writing this (2024).

I'm afab non-binary, so born a female but I don't really care how I'm addressed.

I don't really think adding my sexuality here matters, but right up-front I'm demisexual, which basically means (at least for me) that you're only sexually attracted to people whom you've formed an emotional bond with. So you can't just find a stranger on the street and go "let's bang" or "hey, date me". It's both sexually and romantically my mind-state (but also commitment issues– that's a different can of worms though).

Other than being demi, I'm also bi with a masc preference (I've said i was pan for the longer, but I'm going to be honest here...My definition of attractive is just hot masc people. So I'm either one with a masc preference. Regardless of your gender, if you're masc, I'm chill).

(You're going to see this ^ divider a lot, I apologize but I really like it)

Now on the the asks portion of this!

So my asks (which I called "The Fields of Asphodel" to keep on with my theme) are for whatever you want, if I'm honest.

If you're going to request a certain type of dribble or even mini-oneshot idea, please be respectful and if I can think of something to write for it, I'll definitely do it!

If you do make a request, just be patient. It may take a few days after your ask, since I do have a job and I tend to be pretty forgetful, and will put off stuff until I can no longer push them aside.

I will write 18+ requests, but i do have limits. Also, if you're under 18, i won't tell you what you can and cannot read, however...Just don't comment on a smut and say "I'm reading this and blah blah", you know? I won't police underaged people who read smut, because I was a kid at one point and I also read smut when I clearly wasn't supposed to, so I don't see the problem with it. Just don't let me know, because I will feel uncomfortable.

Anyway, right, the limits.

So, I won't write anything with watersports (so golden showers, scat, etc.), i find it difficult to write a dom reader so it's not a limit but this is more so a "i can't do this", I won't do a mommy kink (sorry to all yall mommys out there), knife play is a limit when it comes to physically hurting the reader (but if it's just cutting clothes off then that's fine), I'd like to add action as a limit (by this i mean fighting scenes, i can't write them to save my life), angst is okay but I won't do major character deaths (this just means I won't do the reader or any love interest dying, even if they're not the main character of the request) — any angst i write will have a happy ending because I don't like hurting my characters but I can make you cry <3, I also find it difficult to write yanderes (but i will try), and, honestly, I can't think of much else right now but if I discover anymore, I'll come back to this to add them to it!

Other than that, I do want to say that none of my writing is discontinued so far! I may not be currently working on stuff, but it's still in the back of my mind and I will write it eventually. 💜

I hope no one got too excited thinking there was an update today...but also, ToF will be a little late this Friday, just because I didn't finish the next chapter and i won't have time to write it until the weekend.

However, I'll have more than enough time to post next week since I'll be off work for a week for Thanksgiving! I'll try my best to write as much as I can (while also chilling out and playing some games on the side), so hopefully I can have my tropes mini-series written and I can work on my fate one since it's the one I've been waiting for the most!

But also so I can update Divisa since I know it's been so long since the last update and I don't want people to forget about it.

The Old Familiar Sting // last updated 20th July

Maureen Trevi won the 49th Annual Hunger Games, and has now been a victor for 11 years.

Dealing with her own demons for a decade now, alongside her victor duties. Now that the 60th Hunger Games is here and she is forced to be mentor for this year's game yet again. However for the first time she actually get a tribute that think he has a chance to survive the games.

Who were the two Morphlings in Catching fire and what was their story?

The First Quarter Quell // last updated 15th September

It's been 25 years since the dark ages and a new generation of children have grown up with no memory of those days. So to remind the power of the Capitol, they introduced a new type of fear with a Quarter Quell.

Bringing a new twist for every 25th anniversary of the end of the war.

For the first Quell the Districts had to vote for 1 girl and 1 boy to represent their District for this year's game.

5 tributes who did get picked were:

A girl with rebel ties

A local bully

An alleged arsonist

The daughter of a hated politician

And a boy thought by his district that he can win

I've been really into Team Fortress Two lately, and seeing as I cannot get the Actual Fic Writing to go, I wanted to do a little character analysis thing as a silly, so here's my favorite tf2 pairings and how i think they'd act:

Soldier x Spy / Freedom Fries

This ship is utter chaos and honestly I love it. There's a lot of light, passive-aggressive bullying (from Spy) and a lot more heavy, just plain aggressive bullying (from Soldier) and they may seem like they want to kill each other at points. However, neither one of the two will hesistate to mow down anyone who threatens the other.

Spy is stuffy with how he shows affection, especially when there's witnesses. Maybe he moves past him a little too closely and brushes his hand on Soldier's arm as he does. Maybe he hides a small smile as he rolls his eyes at what idiotic thing his partner says. Maybe he doesn't immediately call Soldier stupid to his face when he really really wants to, because he's trying so hard. These quiet attempts at passive affection are ruined by Soldier being the antithesis of subtle, in every way imaginable.

Going off of how Soldier is with Zhanna in the comics, I wouldn't say Soldier is the most verbally affectionate person, but his constant antics and comments and death-defying combat skills would certainly help to pry Spy out of his shell just a little bit. I also think that Spy would teach him how to do a few openings on his butterfly knife. Soldier would get the quickdraw down, and possibly the basic opening. Jury's out on anything more complex than that.

Engineer x Medic / Science Party

Evil mad scientist x Morally questionable tech genius. There is no universe where this ship is bad. Well... it can end badly for other people if their forces combine, but that's how it is.

Long, coffee-filled nights in the lab, each one taking turns to listen to their partner's incomprehensible speeches full of science jargon. They nod, half understanding as the other points to different blueprints or medical diagrams, explaining concepts far beyond their own paygrade, and only mostly hold themselves back from interjecting about their own project that would go wonderfully with this one.

The night Engineer finally starts crashing from exhaustion he goes down to where Medic is in the lab and asks when he's coming to bed. Medic, being Medic, says some shit like "Oh no I don't sleep, I removed that part of my hypothalimus years ago."

Engineer says "Alright darlin', see you tomorrow," before kissing him on the head, going to bed, and not worrying about what a hypothalimus is nor how Medic is even still alive at this point.

Does Engineer somehow dodge Medic's request to be some sor tof test subject? Maybe, but there's the even higher possibility that Medic was requested to assist with Engineer's mechanical hand.

Heavy x Medic / Red Oktoberfest

What is there to say that hasn't been said already, by authors far better than i?

Evil mad scientist x All-too-willing test subject that could also crush this scientist like a bug if he chose (but he doesn't. He doesn't, because he loves this doctor). No notes, 10/10, moving on.

Sniper x Spy / Bloody Suit

Also called Spyper, which is the best ship name ever made imo.

Same Spy characterization as before, but instead of the extreme of Soldier it's the general curmudgeony attitude of Sniper. There's also a lot of bullying in this one, probably more than there is with Freedom Fries because Sniper is also not passive aggresive, he just likes to pick on Spy to get a rise out of him, and Spy likes to pick on Sniper to get a rise out of him, and so on and so forth until something is broken and they're either aggresively arguing or aggresively making out. Who's to say.

There's so many possible ships and honestly? I haven't seen a single one I could automatically dismiss (other than Scout/Spy, but Scout & Spy as a familial relationship is good). I wanna do more of these as I find more ships I like, obviously I didn't even mention anything with Demo, Pyro, or Scout, and I barely mentioned Heavy, but what can I say I'm biased <3

Hi! I got tumblr a few days ago and you’re one of the first people I followed. I love thg, and I think your art is really cool! I’ve heard you mention your fics a couple of times, could you tell me the titles so I can find them? And is there a specific order I should read them in?

So yeah I have two fics I’m working on

The first one “The Old Familiar Sting” follows the two Morphlings/D6 Victors from Catching Fire from the time they won to the events of the main trilogy. So the story follows the POV of Maureen Trevi who has been a Victor for 11 years and is going to be the mentor of a young boy named Cassius. The story jumps between his games and hers.

The other one is “The First Quarter Quell” is about the 25th Games where you follow the POVs of 5 different tributes.

Claudia from D2 who wanted to be in the games to prove herself better than her rebellious grandfather.

Isak from D5 who is a boy with anger issues and an overall little shit to everything and everyone.

Cypress from D7 who got accused of mass arson a few months, so got voted into the games because people think he is guilty

Evelyn from D8 who is the daughter of a hated mayor who got voted into the games alongside her brother

Taurus from D10 who got voted in by his community for being a big and strong promising tribute who might have a chance to win

There isn’t really an order to read these in. Like TOFS takes place 24 years after the 1QQ and there are are very few overlaps in characters and such. So can start with either one ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Whatever grabs your interest ig. TOFS is a lot further in and it is the one I started with, so can start with that one, but there isn’t a order really

now, a lot of you probably dont even know what town of fuckery is so ill start introducing the whole thing.

TOF is an upcoming show project being worked on by us right now, we have no budget but we have one animator (me writing this rn) and a friend group that voiceacts, and everyone takes part in writing the script.

It'll be released on newgrounds and youtube most likely. However, I advise you all to NOT get your hopes up too high, this is not a high quality show nor is it intended to really be good, this is just something me and my friends are working on for the fun of it.

If it releases and you hate it, we don't care. If you don't like the sound of it now, we don't care either.

But anyways, yeah, here I will be posting art of characters from the show and possible leaks of the animation being done for it, so stay tuned if your interested! I'm hoping this at least gets some support anyways.

💋 : is there any ships out there you absolutely hate for genuinely no good reason at all. like its not problematic in the slightest, if anything it's one of the better ones, you just cannot bring yourself to enjoy it

I dont think there's any that make me see red or anything, just a lot that are really really nothing imo. I think there's a lot of kinda just for fun or sweet ships that don't really have enough chemistry for me to care abt, which is so fine I just like dynamicsss. Then again a lot of that is down to a lot of wc characters being kinda blank slates (esp side characters) i can buy into most things if someone is insane enough abt their headcannons for it.

WAIT I'm lying,and hollyleaf and fallenleaves. I think he's boring!!! he should've been more toxic genuinely. This also stemms from me being a giant hollyleaf head and liking her being a bit of a bad person, I don't really see why this relationship with some super patient ghost guy would really make her turn around on anything. She had multiple patient people in her life yknow. I think him being clingy, desperate not to lose the only cat to see him on decades, would be way more interesting. Maybe she's being eaten alive by guilt, bc she's contradicted everything she believed in and is trying to justify it to ease her own stress. And fallenleaves is like overly forgiving of it to the point it upsets her. I also just think her narrative turn around was too easy and she wasn't really taken to task by anyone which is disappointing. Like I hate the idea of Holly's turn around being in part to a pseudo ghost boyfriend who's nice to her and her learning mother hood hard bc nursing a fox cub ect. I want it to come from herself and admitting to what she chose to do in her spiral. I think part tof what really gets to her is others disappointment, and silence, and like leafpool in the berries scene where she's got this controlled kinda disappointment and grief. Like hollyleaf wants a bigger reaction to rally against to justify her own extremity but she isn't getting it. Ashfur is someone who gave that to her. she wants to be a bigger victim than she was, she can't take the idea that everything was always out of control and starclan never had anyone's interests in mind. Not just her. Or that others suffered more than her (leaf and squirrel). Idk I think having some guy try to justify it to her to keep her with him would really force her to hear how it sounds.

Also most of this is like part canon remembering and part like, projection and fan interpretation bc wc stuff is a fascinating melting pot of Nostalgia and canon, and headcanon more than any fandom I've seen before. Partly bc the maps and animations create a soft canon that ppl get into instead of the books. I'm trying to write an essay abt ittttt. I also kinda have this pet theory abt hollyleaf being written in the same veign as male characters in the series where their emotional turmoil is used to demean, punish and flanderize female characters (leafpool and squirrelflight in this circumstance) and I think it's interesting. As well as her never being really held to account for how she treated anyone, she's allowed to keep hating her mothers, she got away with murder and attempted murder ect. She also was allowed to be ambitious and never had a mate which r both things Erin's almost never let female characters do without making them into like evil hag harpies ect. I'm very interested in breaking down their specific gender Flanderization bc it's such a clear pattern they use in the books over and over bc they hate women a LOT.

I'm glad I decided to make a new, separate blog specifically for my creative work. Not only so I can separate my personal posts from my 'work' posts, but the idea of a semi-clean slate appeals to me.

I do still stand by a lot of my older TTRPG posts. But certainly not all of them. And most of them I would word/format a lot differently if I were to write them today.

I really wanna develop Seridux's relationships with the rest of the Org but I keep running into the issue of me not wanting to fuck around with canon too much.

(I say, as if adding a pre-Roxas 13th member who is Xigbars gf isn't massively fucking around with canon)

...also the fact that I can't really see most of them liking them, cause I'm not really likeable. Like IRL, most would just find me boring at best.

Furthest I've gotten is "Luxord is nice to them sometimes (but also in an AU they date instead)" and "Larxene is bi and was secretly happy for another not-male/perceived afab person in the group but thinks Seri is boring af" and "Went on a mission with Demyx once but Demyx hangs out with Xigbar more (slightly) so they're not a trio or anything." Can't really make Xig Seri Lux a trio because Xig and Lux are implied to dislike each other in canon so that doesn't really work.

I was gonna have Xaldin train them to give him some spotlight but when I tried to imagine it I ended up realizing that I just don't care for him that much. Debated doing Lexaeus since I like him more cause both are Strong but I feel like his type of training wouldn't suit me (and he's a slow Mighty Glacier while they're a bit more of a Glass Cannon or Fragile Speedster so it doesn't really mesh well).

I can't do Vexen because I'm already having to write around how he'd most likely be able to sense something off about Seri (while having Luxu sense it due to some ToF lore stuff) , and he would just make them nervous due to paranoia. Originally, Seri was going to help him with some lab experiments like an assistant after Roxas joined and their subsequent demotion, and at one point I had considered him finding out and using Ruesid as a base for the replicas...but then I felt like that took too much away from Vexen's canon accomplishments with the project, so the best he gets is Seri letting him steal some Puppets from the Ghost Temple (before they just up and vanish on him before he can do anything. Multiple times. He gives up.)

They pretty much never interact with Xemnas. And Zexion...I could try something with him but idk if it'd work out.

Finally, Roxas and Xion join too late to build much. They get some bonding with Xion (but not enough to get in the way of the Sea Salt Trio) and then Seridux dies during the plot of Days before Xion ever rejoins after defecting.
