just to add in this fact though! YOU ALL FORGET THE CONVERSATION HARRY HAD WITH REMUS AND SIRIUS AFTER HARRY SAW SNAPE'S MEMORY IN ORDER OF THE PHEONIX. What James and Snape had was exactly the same as Harry and Draco. James did not "bully" Snape, they attacked each other.

The best proof to this fact is Snape using sectumsempra on James during that fight. This clearly shows that Snape was not "defenseless".

Also to quote Remus, even after James matured and stopped hexing people for the sake of, Snape never missed the opportunity to hex James in the corridors and hallways. This could be Snape's frustration because James " got the girl". Lily was not a price to be won by either James or Snape. Lily was her own person with feelings. She chose to love James and chose to break up her friendship with Snape because of his pureblood supremacy and ambition to become a death eater.

Sirius also said that he was not proud of what he did at fifteen but the difference here is James levitated Snape on the air but Snape literally invented a spell that could tear your skin. This was at the same age. Snape performed dark arts at students, prime example being Mary McDonald for which Lily confronted Snape but he went on comparing that with the marauder's harmless pranks which were quite similar to what Fred and George used to do!

You'll are so talented in just picking the line where it make James look like the bad guy but forget the fact that the line next to it can be used to prove you'll wrong!

And about the canon interpretation by JK Rowling. She has been ruining the entire series on Twitter, about something we know a lot of so for a topic where no such information is available to us at a high amount, it is easy for her to ruin all our interpretations we gathered using canon facts for years just because she feels like it. She was the one who decided to leave the marauder's life to be interpreted by fans so her making a canon film would ruin that!

Let me be clear. I love the Marauders. But in JK’s hand, she will go a completely different direction than what we know. If JK made a Marauders series, it would be hours of James and Sirius being “bullies” and Snape being a victim. Somehow, it’ll be the Marauders fault for Peter turning on them. Somehow, Remus will be a fourth wheel and not really friends. She will twist and turn them into something recognizable. I would love official Marauders content but not in her hands.
