iceland vlog update i downloaded davinci resolve like a few of my followers suggested and am just operating off sheer audacity on this project. oh, i've never video edited before? sure, let's let my first ever project be one with 43 minutes of footage out of 220 video clips. yeah. that seems like fun <- is dying

IT'S WORKING THOUGH I AM DOING IT

#i've put all the clips in order. and then done voiceover and stuff as needed for the first few days where i didn't take as much video #now i'm going through and clipping all the videos down to just the parts i need #i'm on...minute 17 or so #then i can begin the editing #of like audio levels and whatever fiddly stuff needs to be done #i dont even know the program i am just figuring it out on the fly #i've spent like 10 hours on this so far #it took me two full hours just to download all the clips to my computer and rename them so i could find them again

I really love this scene because Flynn is so stressed out and aggravated and Yuri can tell, so he doesn't get mad, even if Flynn is saying things that are a bit miffing. He doesn't engage with the comments (even when you can tell he's miffed in the moment he looks away, actively trying not to engage with the comment and make the mood worse), stays calm and just gets to the point of the conversation, ending it off being casual and playful (in regular Yuri Lowell fashion!!). He understands how frustrating this is for Flynn and handles it without letting himself get worked up in return.

I've said it before, but Yuri's emotional intelligence and his responses to other people's emotional states fascinates me. Sometimes he does give in to the moment, but most of the time he can assess the situation and respond to the other person the best way possible depending on the situation without pressing the wrong buttons.

I love him. 🤘

#GTF Vesperia Clips #another thing the dub yeeted from Yuri that ppl miss out on even tho it's such a deep part of his character #and smth that rly makes me adore him in the original audio and context #he just. knows exactly how to gauge conversations. how to handle Karol's sadness for example #how to handle Flynn's anger when so much is going wrong for him #how to know when to joke around with Raven and when to take him seriously as an adult #he's so so so good at handling things on an emotional level and I love that for him so much #also sorry if the audio seems a LIL bit off/wonky. couldn't use my usual program to export vid clips #this is from the playthrough I used in my uh... idk what you'd call them posts at this point LOL (hence the subs)#the basic explanation is that my video maker changed how it works for the free version #and I'd have to pay (sub even if temporarily) to export vids over two mins #and unfortunately this went just over two mins so I had to use smth else less reliable/good
