I have been following your time with Ring Fit for a bit. Can I just say I'm impressed that you have stayed on this course for so long. I remember when I tried doing something similar but ended up crashing out of it after 2 weeks.

It's definitely difficult to stick with. When you start out completely fresh, especially if you aren't used to exercising at all, the game is pretty intense. Even now, most days take 1-2 hours to do 20 minutes total of exercising, and I should be going up to 30 to actually lose weight.

But what keeps me going is seeing how much I weigh on a scale, and being very mad about it. Maybe soon that number will start to go down consistently, (and not fluctuate like weight usually does), so all of this could be worth it. Though, I should take some days off from it to do other exercises that the game doesn't account for, like basic Push Ups. Still can't do them easily with how much I weigh, lol.

Week 7. There's a lot to explain.

Skipped last week because foot hurt. Did half on Monday because needing to do yardwork. Had 0 energy Tuesday.

Yesterday I did Stage 1 about 14-15 times as a test, which is almost entirely jogging. Today I used the Custom mode to also do entirely jogging, yet somehow did less than just repeating the first stage. Go figure.

First days of trying to pick Ring Fit back up.

Had to skip Thursday because both shins had hurt, and on Friday I had done mowing and yardwork after working out, so I skipped out on the weekend to let my body rest.

The last 6 minutes of today were from one stage in World 8, when I had been going back and starting from World 1, attempting to get to the end of World 2 in one session, (which I did today and the previous day). Halfway through it felt like a mistake lol

I decided to do the first stage of Ring Fit over and over to see how I'd handle it.

Subsequently this is the most calories burnt and distance traveled in a single play session. It was also over the course of 2 hours, but still.

its funny that a lot of conservative cultural sticking points right now are just slightly more advanced versions of what they believed as somewhat dull children, like "teachers are evil actually" and "vegetables are poison"

"sex scenes have no narrative purpose" is such a funny take on so many levels. people will really believe that the whole human experience is valuable to portray artistically except sex, which of course has never held emotional weight or significance for anybody

Update Notes for Nosolus:

I've been working behind the scenes to get Nosolus pages scripted. There's 19 pages scripted out of possible 25-30. For art, I'm sticking with the Binary pen, but may use grayscale or halftone for more definition. Text will be aliased for better readability.

I'm starting art today, and once I get enough done I'll start scheduling uploads for them. Still need to take time to clean up/redo previous pages, both WIP pages and some that were coloured prior that just look bad. Hopefully should get to it quick since certain commissions are done for the future.

Fiction is so important right now in all its forms (books, games, movies etc.) because it lets us vicariously live out our fantasies of…*checks notes* bad guys actually facing consequences for their actions.
