Okay but what is this class?

So, within the film school were 3 areas of study, and you had to pick ONE to do:

Telecommunication law and policy.

Media Sciences (The academic studies. If they could show you something and put electrodes on your head to read your brain, they're happy)

Design and Production-- actually making shit. Scriptwriting, studio, field production, sound design, editing, etc.

I did a self-created hybrid major, bridging Media Sciences with Design and Production.

Laid that ground information because I can only describe the classes from the way I approached them. The media psychology students got something totally different out of it and my brain just doesn't stop where theirs stopped.

If I mention the sex class, I'll end up writing that 100,000 word essay on how it is applied to LITA, so let's talk the horror one (my fav).

What the class does is get into physiologically, what happens to a person while watching horror? A lot of that is really obvious- you can become tense, anxious, your stress levels actually go DOWN overall (which is not how it feels in the moment), and you experience a rush of adrenaline.

Then you dig deeper. What is contributing to the tension? The human brain processes things at different speeds, sight is slower than sound. So sound mixing becomes both critical to creating a horror atmosphere, and also a cheat code. Anything becomes spooky if it SOUNDS spooky.

Monkey brain hear spooky, monkey brain no like spooky. Now it's dark. Monkey brain cannot see danger approach. Monkey brain fight or flight grow big.

Now, if you don't have a valve to bring the tension down (something scary, jump scares are the most lazy way), monkey brain get bored. Monkey brain start adapting to the adrenaline and your adrenal gland is like "Guys this party sucks".

And that's why M. Night Shamalan movies blow. Level tension. So at the end when he tries to ramp it up your brain has already gotten bored and gone home so it's just like "Who the fuck cares".

What else is in horror movies? Violence!

But guess what? Monkey brain feel things if they see gruesome stuff. Boy monkey brains especially.

But what's this? Girl monkey brains are different than boy monkey brains. Girl monkey brains have SO MANY MORE nerve endings (that equals empathy). You show gruesome to girl monkey brain, girl monkey brain is like "childbirth and periods are more gruesome than this" (girl monkey brain not the most feminist, the feminism comes from evolution and enlightenment).

But you show a girl monkey brain the FACE of someone in pain- the agony and the terror... That's going to slam into those nerve endings and activate Empathy Mode- and now you can imagine how that violence FEELS.

Know your demographic- based on your subject matter, the likely ratio of boy monkey brains to cater to vs girl monkey brains. Set your balance of violence and face shots to keep both on the same page with that tension you are rising and lowering.

And I did say I didn't want to get into the sex one because I don't want to rabbit hole, but sex and horror tend to walk hand in hand because they're such primal triggers.

That's the "monkey brain" theme up there. They are not speaking to you as a rational human person. They're speaking to the root code of your DNA (do not try to hijack my post to argue anti-feminist things because of monkey brain, I'm talking horror and sex).

They're poking at instinctive responses you do not consciously control on average.

So yeah

I created a hybrid major track for myself within the department (I love that my uni gave students the freedom to do that) to study media psychology and apply it not to research on the human condition, but to learn to basically brain wash and mind control my audiences.

To reach into the monkey brain and hypnotize them until they end up- as the video game design majors would say- in a flow-state where time stops existing. Just the story is left. Like a dream you don't realize you are dreaming.

... ... ... When my professor realized how I was mixing the two tracks, he started calling it the Super Villain Major.

I have no regrets.

Background and Family

Gwendolen Eira Hughes was born on April 26th, 1875, in Swansea, South Wales, to a mother and father of unknown wizard of heritage. The details of her past are unsure; a carriage accident in her childhood tragically took the lives of her parents and left her with amnesia, leaving doctors and police with only documents to help piece her identity together. Her mother was an English woman named Alice Hedera while her father, Meilyr Hughes, was Welsh. After the accident, Gwen was placed in a Catholic convent where she was given an education but subjected to verbal, mental, and occasionally physical abuse. As she grew older, the convent began placing her into homes with the hope of adopting her out but she was returned each time due to her “poor behavior” and attitude. One of the families she lived with, the Trahernes, began physically abusing her which caused her magic to emerge. In a fit of anger, she caused ivy to grow throughout the entire house, damaging it and leaving the Trahernes with painful rashes. She was promptly returned to the convent and shortly after was visited by Professor Eleazar Fig.

After the events of Repository battle, Gwen’s mental health took a steep decline. The guilt and trauma she felt regarding the deaths of Professor Fig, Lodgok, and many more became too much to bear. She isolated herself within the Room of Requirement until Professor Matilda Weasley coaxed her out and comforted her during the last semester of the school year. After some consideration, Professor Weasley offered to become Gwen’s legal guardian so that she did not have to return to the convent. Gwen was initially hesitant to accept the offer, on account of her previous experiences living with adoptive families, but she eventually accepted after some convincing from Ominis Gaunt. It took a while for both of them to adjust to their new roles; Weasley did not want to overstep her boundaries but also wanted to make sure Gwen was being taken care of and provided for. Gwen kept Professor Weasley at arms length, waiting for the day it became too much and she would give up on her. But with time Gwen came to view Professor Weasley in a more maternal light (the feeling was mutual on Matilda’s end).

An Introvert's Guide to Winning

If you are like me who is an INTJ-T is seems like the world is not your oyster. in fact, the idea that fortune favors the brave still makes you ponder. Does that mean that if I am not brave enough, I won't be fortunate? Now imagine being an introvert who is also shy. Here are ways to win as an introvert.

Take advantage of your introversion and be a great observer. As someone who grew up shy and introverted it was hard to see my friends winning. Most introverts stay away from large crowds, they prefer smaller intimate settings and if they are socially awkward it's harder. So here is what I do, I go to a large crowd and watch people, I look at everyones body language, I walk around like I am looking for someone then I pause in awe of how good looking many of them are and how lucky I am. Then I approach the people who look shy or do not have anyone to talk to and I begin asking them questions and find similarities. Being an introvert means you spend more time in your thoughts but what are you thinking? Think in awe and approach a person based on that. It is not about how many people you can talk to but the quality of conversations you have. often times you become lit because you have found someone who thinks just like you and that makes other people want to pitch into that fun conversation that you have.

Fine tune your body language and style: So, you are invited to your bosses birthday and you have turned down many outings but you don't want to disappoint your boss by not going. So, you decide to show up. But how do you show up? You will show up looking your best, put your best foot forward and radiate the energy that is within you. Often times other people will gravitate towards you or the host might introduce you to other people.

Take the road less traveled: If you are afraid of not having a talking partner, look for other guests who do not have talking partners or look shy. They are easier to approach, so engage them by asking open ended question, show interest, and make them feel very comfortable around you. This has happened to me several times. I would go to an event and be on the lookout for the oldest person in the room that is often ignored or that person that is by the corner in the dark and illuminate their minds with my quiet extraversion.

Be a great storyteller: I do not speak loudly or know everyone in an area. I get tired quickly when I am out and about so I try to give a great story about myself or a random thing that I saw in the mst imaginative, enticing, and romantic way possible. Making the listener feel special about the conversation.

Bring the best in you: Being great at what you do will make people speak of you in rooms you never dreamed of getting into. I was recently introduced to the European Union Deputy General of Trade by my Negotiations professor because he considered me one of his brightest students and gave me an invite to the conference the diplomat attended (I was the only student in the room).

Capitalize on 1 on 1s: See opportunities to be alone with someones as a time for you to shine. During interviews be elated that this person has chosen to spend time getting to know only you. So this is your time to show off the personality that you have been hiding from the world.

&Team Members and Their Circle of Friends if They Attended Hogwarts

A/N : Besides being a K-poppers, I've been a Potterhead since I was a kid (More precisely when I was eight years old). And I don't know where my imagination came from, I thought of making this😆. I will also add the Hogwarts Houses of the &Team members in my opinion (Sorry if my opinion is different from yours). I just made this for fun.

|| EJ : Ravenclaw ||

- Addition : As usual, EJ is a genius &Team leader, a fast learner (Bro, become fluent in Japanese in just a year)😭 and has great logic (&Team Amusement Park Content). Of course Ravenclaw suited him perfectly. He would be suitable for Quidditch as he looks quite athletic, and could be chosen as captain for Ravenclaw.

- Circle of Friends :

• Hermione Granger

Just like EJ, Hermione is someone who is very intelligent (Her second house is predicted to be Ravenclaw). They could even become academy rivals (in a healthy way). If Euijoo is friends with Hermione, they will often exchange ideas, spend time in the library, and even help each other with lessons. Sometimes, they may have small arguments because of differences of opinion. They are quite suitable to be Head Boy and Head Girl (If Euijoo can surpass Draco Malfoy's academy grades). They will also become the favorites of some professors because of their intelligence and brains. Euijoo would probably often be paired with Hermione if Gryffindor and Ravenclaw were having class together.

• Cho Chang

His housemate, Cho, can be a good friend for Euijoo. Moreover, Cho's personality is quite friendly and also has a popular status. Euijoo can of course be said to be quite popular at Hogwarts, he is one of the smartest students there. Therefore, if he were friends with Cho, I feel they would 'fit' and could complement each other. Moreover, Euijoo is the Quidditch captain, while Cho is the seeker, they will often talk to each other about Quidditch and their strategies.

• Cedric Diggory

OH, CEDRIC WILL BE EUIJOO'S BEST FRIEND even though they live in different houses. Two popular students who are famous because apart from being handsome and intelligent, they are very athletic and talented at Quidditch. Will be the best 'duo', the dream of the Hogwarts girls who always hope to be asked out by them. When on the field, they are like rivals, but when off the field, they will still be best friends. They encourage each other, even congratulate each other if one of them wins the match. Cedric will always invite EJ to his house during the Christmas holidays, and vice versa.

• Luna Lovegood

Another housemate!!!!! for some reason I find EJ and Luna very cute when they become close friends. Luna who is innocent and Euijoo who always looks in the eyes when she talks. Luna is sometimes the target of pranks by students who think she is strange, making Euijoo really want to protect her.

• Lorenzo Berkshire (FanMade Character)

In some POVs I've seen, Lorenzo is a kind-hearted Slytherin type and never even differentiates blood status in friendship. I feel like Euijoo and him will be good friends even though Lorenzo is part of Draco Malfoy's circle of brutal Slytherins (😭). Maybe Euijoo has 'problems' with Draco Malfoy because (perhaps) Draco feels competitive with Euijoo who has high grades (He was afraid that Euijoo would become Head Boy). However, his (Euijoo) relationship with Lorenzo will remain fine. It could be said that they are the 'best duo' even though they live in different houses.

- Addition : An INTJ but in Gryffindor? Oh, I feel like Fuma is more inclined towards Gryffindor, bro, he's the bravest and most athletic of his group🤺. I think he'll be part of the Quidditch team as a Beater perhaps.

- Circle of Friends :

• Oliver Wood

Bro, they are both sports enthusiasts. Of course Fuma will be very close to Oliver Wood. They would spend most of their time talking about Quidditch and strategies for fighting the enemy team (Just the two of them). It will be equally frustrating if they lose to the opposing team. And immediately protest if Quidditch is suddenly cancelled. Another 'Best Duo'.

• Golden Trio

I can guarantee that Fuma will be of great help to the Golden Trio in their missions with the help of his strength. Fuma would be closest to Hermione as well. Because Hermione's smart brain combined with her strong energy, it would make a perfect combination. Not only that, he will also help Harry and Ron in Quidditch.

Surprised? Yeah, I also don't understand why I thought Kei could be friends with Mattheo. Kei probably couldn't join Draco Malfoy's circle, because he might think Draco was too much. However, he got along with Mattheo well, and they even got into small mischief.

• Cedric Diggory

Cedric again. And I know, Hufflepuff always accepts anyone in their circle of friends (I'm a Hufflepuff btw). Kei and Cedric might make a good study partner, especially if they have the same class and have a group project.

• Bill Weasley

Kei may be a Slytherin, but that doesn't mean he can't be friends with Gryffindor. He can accept anyone, including Bill Weasley. I feel, Kei will be Bill's best friend too, Bill is warm and Kei is also caring for other people. They can be together without any commotion. Kei, who became Slytherin prefect and Bill, who became head boy, also made their friendship closer. If there was an annual event at Hogwarts, they would come up with brilliant ideas.

• Luna Lovegood

That MF would fit in well with the brutality of Draco Malfoy's circle (😭). He, Mattheo and Draco would cause the most trouble at Hogwarts. And their easy target is the Golden Trio (Always). When their house wins the Quidditch tournament, they will throw a party full of fire whiskey (😭). Draco Malfoy's circle was often called 'Playboy', and Nicholas was of course included in those rumors (😀💔). Moreover, I imagine he often flirts with some of the pretty girls at Hogwarts.

• Cormac Mclaggen

Yeah, Cormac was a jerk in the movie. But I feel like he would also get along with Nicholas even though their houses are different. But they were still rivals during Quidditch matches.

• Weasley Twins (Fred & George)

Even though he was friends with Draco Malfoy, that didn't stop Nicholas from being friends with anyone. The Weasley twins often sell and make items for pranks. And Nicholas always pranked some students, he would buy products from the Weasley twins. They became friends because Nicholas often bought their prank products directly.

• Luna Lovegood

(I think almost all Teamies will be close to Luna). Nicholas might protect Luna secretly, acting as if he doesn't care, but actually he really cares about Luna. And maybe, Nicholas could have a crush on Luna (🗿). For some reason, I see Luna as Nicholas' dream girl.

- Addition : Yuma's MBTI is ISTJ who tends more towards Hufflepuff according to the sources I read. However, ISTJs are also classified as Slytherin as their second house.However, for me Yuma is more Slytherin than Hufflepuff

Yeah, he would totally fit in if he joined Draco Malfoy's circle. Just like his Nicholas hyung, he would cause various problems with Draco Malfoy's circle. Yuma would be called more often to the head of his house, Snape, because the problems he was causing were piling up (😭).

• Ginny Weasley

Yeah, I know, Ginny and Yuma are from different houses, but their MBTI (maybe) could make them friends. Ginny is estimated to be ESTP, where ESTP can also be a good friend for ISTJ. They could be the 'best duo' if not hindered by the house.

• Ernie MacMillan Circle

Bro, Hufflepuff and Slytherin are two houses that can have good friendships. In fact they are very close. Yuma and Ernie MacMillan's circle can become good friends, especially since Ernie also sometimes has hot gossip that Yuma can get at any time.

Jo + Oliver = Both sports lovers. Jo will also ask him for some tips about Quidditch. He, Oliver, and Cedric would become the 'Sports Maniac Trio'.

• Lorenzo Berkshire

Yeah, nothing can change my mind (ekhem!) that Lorenzo could be a good friend to Hufflepuff like Jo. Jo might not enter Draco Malfoy's circle, but Lorenzo would be able to be friends with her. I feel like they have some things in common that could spark their friendship.

• Astoria Greengrass

(My precious girl!🥺). Draco Malfoy's true love is truly one of the kind and loving Slytherin girls. Jo would actually become good friends with Astoria at Hogwarts. When Astoria has a child with Draco, Astoria will probably choose Jo as her child's godparent.

• Harry Potter

And this is random (again). I don't know where the imagination came from, I thought that Jo and Harry would also be good friends who could help each other. Eum, like when Harry was bullied because of the Triwizard tournament, several Hufflepuffs mocked Harry, but Jo actually apologized on behalf of his friends for insulting him (Harry). Also giving Harry the same support he gave Cedric.

|| HARUA : Hufflepuff ||

- Addition : It's quite difficult for me to analyze Harua's Hogwarts house, but his MBTI 'says' his house is Hufflepuff.

- Circle of Friends

• Neville Longbottom

I believe Harua can treat Neville well. The two of them will spend time in the green house to help Professor Sprout with the plants. Harua can make Neville feel comfortable when Neville is always awkward around other people.

• Hermione Granger

Harua wouldn't be shy about asking Hermione for help with some lessons he didn't understand. Hermione would also be very comfortable with Harua because she didn't feel burdened, because Harua asked to be taught, not asked to copy questions.

• Padma Patil

Ginny Weasley's ex-boyfriend could become Harua's best friend. Michael saw that Harua was the type of friend who would not burden him, but would instead help each other. I read that Michael prefers friends who don't burden him too much, so Harua will get along well with him.

• Susan Bones

Although Susan was a friend of Ernie MacMillan; the source of the Hogwarts gossip, Harua can still be good friends with her. He would be great friends with the Golden Trio (Trust Me!). Taki will also help a lot with the Golden Trio's movements with his fast movements.

• The Weasley Twins (Fred & George)

Taki would buy several products made by the Weasley twins to prank Slytherin who he thought really needed to be taught a lesson (Someone save Yuma and Nicho!💀). Not only that, Taki will also request new items so that the Weasley Twins will release new products. Taki will become their loyal customer which makes Taki their close friend.

• Theodore Nott

Startled? Yeah, I was shocked too when this crossed my mind (🗿). For some reason I feel like Theodore and Taki would also be a good match even though Taki is a Gryffindor. They would often say hello when they passed each other, and made Draco Malfoy glare at him for greeting a Gryffindor like Taki.

BACKGROUND/ LORE

Rory doesn't really remember the early years of their life. They were born as what would modernly be known as Intersex, Not exactly known what gender they were at all. And just as you would expect, society including their parents were not fond of this. It was as if they we're a freak. Not too long after being born Rory's parents seperated, and didn't seem either was keen to keep the child they had created. With a stroke of pure genius abandoning them at a small Orphanage called SmileSide Orphanage; and never looking back.

SmileSide Orphanage mind you, was anything but a place to smile. It was rather poor to say the least and the caretakers for the children were. . .less then kind. The place constantly smelled of old socks and despair, every child there constantly scared stiff by the women who ran the place. It seemed like everything anyone did was wrong. Breath too loud? Locked in the cellar with no meals for 2 Moons. Speak out of turn? Wash out your mouth with soap! And the punishments only got more severe from there. Just like the other kids, Rory hated it there.

However, Unlike most children, they never really were too interested in getting adopted or finding friends at the place. Instead, They spent most of their time nose in a book, they liked non-ficton and learning everything they could. But, Fiction always holds a special place in their heart. More specifically, Mystery series. Rory always loved solving puzzles and mysteries, Figuring out the culprit of the crime along with the main character in their favourite book was always something they enjoyed. As well as reading, they did more creative things as well, Drawing, Writing, tinkering. . .all while Learning as much as they could from the local library and other educational things the small town had to offer.

This went on for 14 more years, along the way Rory eventually growing tired of the same routine. They wanted adventure, something new to discover, maybe a new book to read? They had read almost every one in the library twice for Peats Sake! Eventually, on their 15th birthday receiving a letter at their bedside. It was a rather ominis letter, being addressed to:

Oh. . .okay! This was a bit unsettling. Reading the message, they learned the letter came from "Headmistress Matilda Weasley".or whoever she was. The letter informed them they shall be admitted to a school called "Hogwarts". Apparently they were long overdue to go, 4 entire years late? However, a man named Eleazar Fig, or Professor Fig, was going to be coming to mentor them? They were baffled, yet excited. This was unexpected, uncharted Mystery Letter. And you know them. . .They loved solving a good Mystery. Surprisingly (and conviently) enough not even 5 minutes later a older man showed up at the front door wearing rather Flamboyant clothing. He looked at the child before him as if he already knew them, extending a hand and introducing himself as Eleazar Fig. . .hey it's the man from the letter! Now this? This was the sort of new adventure they've been craving. . . If only they new what the future would hold.

RELATIONSHIPS WITH STAFF/STUDENTS

Professor Fig: Father Figure #1! person Rory was able to trust, and I mean fully trust. They bonded well over the few months before Rory attended Hogwarts, Getting taught about the Wizarding World and its inhabitants. Their bond only strengthened once the whole Ancient Magic ability came about. They were a lot alike, Clever, Sassy, and unbelievably courageous. Fig was their emotional backbone throughout the journey, giving words of encouragement and praise all the way. Professor Fig always cared for Rory as if his own child since the day they began being mentored by him, They acted a lot like Miriam in his opinion, and that's what only made him love them more. He understood them, and even when he didn't he tried to be there either way. As much as they would have rather died then admit it, Professor Fig was basically what They always wanted in their father. A kind man who would support them and be able to trust. If only he could still be here. . .Oh Professor, they're so sorry.

Professor Sharp: Father Figure #2! Rory always liked Potions, and Professor Sharp's class in general. They always found it odd how people hated his class, Perhaps those students were just to weak when it came to "Intimidating" people telling them what to do. The two didn't start to truly bond until after Professor Fig's death, Sure they knew each other and were friendly. . . But that's all it was. It wasn't until Rory was in the Potions classroom every other hour trying to hide from People asking questions about the battle under Hogwarts and Professor Weasley's kind but overwhelming mother henning, the potions professor and the Ravenclaw really started to actually know each other. The two were a lot alike in personality and mannerisms, hell even similar mental issues. To Professor Sharp. . . They were too alike for his own comfort. Professor Sharp always was fond of Rory, as much as it could be hard to see. He admired their hard working, no nonsense ethic that very few others their age manages to possess. Albeit he had chided them one too many times about almost falling asleep in their brews every so often. He almost saw himself in the kid, and to say the least he didn't like that

Self destructive tendencies that he knew WAY too well. After Professor Fig passed he stepped up to be their "mentor" in a sense. Mentoring them to keep helping them understand 4 extra years of Hogwarts magic they missed, as well as maybe get them off the destructive path they were going down.

Professor Weasley: Mother Figure!! Rory always highly respected and admired Professor Weasley. She was unbelievably kind to them at the first moment they met. And continued to be during the school year and even after that. Professor Weasley was just as fond or Rory as they were to her, if not more. Such a hardworking student who seemed to be prepared every step of the way. Sure she was a bit cross they had lied to her for the better part of the year about their ancient magic ability and. . . Extra Curricular activities that could have easily ended their life. But she was mainly just glad they were alright. . . She doesn't have favorites what do you mean?

Sebastian: Buddies. Ever since first day DADA, Rory and Sebastian grew to be close friends. Investigating the triptych and that damned Relic, the two had their own hate/love dynamic. There was only so much tomfoolery and idiotic statements Rory can take before having to "take a break" from Sebastians presence. . . Who doesn't need a break from that.

Natty: Platonic Soulmates, From the First day in class, to the troll attack in Hogsemead, and the many more adventures the two had go on. Natty and Rory were joined at the hip, Close as can be. Natsai was one of the only people Rory could be around and genuinely smile, Making sly jokes and Sarcastic comments back and forth at one another. One of the most powerful duo's in Hogwarts I'd reckon.

Poppy: Close friends. Poppy is more of the opposite of Rory, The sun to their moon if you would. Saving beasts from poachers, Successfully returning a dragon egg to it's mother, and befriending the Centaurus, the two grew close over the school year.

Ominis: Friendly aquaintances, besides trying to stop Sebastian from doing anything too idiotic for the most part Ominis and Rory don't talk much. The two mostly conversate in Professor Binns class, since they are sat right beside one another.

Amit: Best Friends! Amit and Rory are two buddy's who love the stars and it's wonders, when the chance arises the two can be found in the library or in the astronomy tower info-dumping about their own discoveries of the cosmos.

Garreth: Friends! Since the two are both adept in potion making, they mostly bond in potions class. Sometimes getting partnered up together for specific lessons. Thankfully for Professor Sharp, Rory manages to keep Garreth from doing anything explosive when paired together. Sure they do threaten him with a hex that would have him puking up slugs for a few days. . . But then again he has it coming.

Imelda: Rivals to Lovers. Ever since the first Flying race the two had against one another in the beginning of the year, a electrical Rivalry started. One thing Rory never did, was back down. Even so they were always impressed by Imeldas firey spirit when it came to flying, being so passionate was somehow attractive? Rory and Imelda met up every week or so to fly, Even if it wasn't on a race track they would fly along together, spitting firey yet affectionate insults at one another. On the other hand, Rory's competitive spirit and down right determination, not to mention how they could easily clap back and stand up for themself. . .it was one of the reason Imelda liked them so much, to her dismay. No no no! They were NOT apart of her future plans! She doesn't have time for them. . . Does she? No she isn't blushing. . . She has a fever! It's hot out!. . . Ughh

Appearance

How does he look?

Severin’s a middle-aged dunmer (would be in his 50s in human years), with deep dusky grey skin; curly, black salt and pepper hair (Texture 3A/3B); a well-groomed beard, and reddish-grey eyes. He’s quite short (5’4”), and there’s evidence in his build of someone who used to be extremely physically fit. He has stretch marks on his lower abdomen from where he carried his daughter, Llevana, and almost the entirety of the left side of his body is covered with scarring from third degree burns. He is naturally flat chested, with a prominent adams apple, and the tattoos on his body (that weren’t destroyed by his burns) are an amalgamation of hand-poked pieces, including traditional Dunmeri motifs making up sleeves, and a crudely done ‘treasure map’ on his right hand.

What does he sound like?

His voice suffered some damage from the ash, and he’s a smoker, so his voice is pretty deep, raspy and heavy on the vocal fry (which is common of British accents anyway). If we’re giving him a regional British accent, considering how most of the Dunmer sound, he sounds like he’s from the North of England, most likely Yorkshire (think Sean Bean, just a little deeper). He speaks well and smoothly, though tends to compress his words (again, regional dialect). He has a great ‘bedtime story’ voice, and tends to speak at a gentle, soft volume. He is incapable of shouting/screaming.

What does he smell like?

At arm’s length, he smells warm and comforting, like old tomes and canis root tea. He tends to wear resinous oils, which would smell like a mixture of labdanum, frankincense and ylang ylang, with hints of tobacco and warm vanilla. In close proximity, the smell of sweet and smoky herbs linger on his fingers and on his lips, and the scent of his skin is electric, like the earth just before lightning strikes.

How does he feel?

Fully clothed, you’d embrace him to feel some well-loved robes, and the firmness of muscle with just a bit of squish. He’s warm. Very warm. Nude, the heat of his skin hits you before you even touch him. His body is a map of scars, each with a different story, though quite a few mysterious ones too. His body hair is quite soft, albeit quite thick, and he takes pride in his appearance. His blood runs hot, his lips are soft, and his hands are rough yet gentle.

His general demeanour?

The impression he gives off is one of a caring father. Perhaps the first noticeable personality trait is his gentleness, paired with a stern yet kind educational streak. He’s the teaching sort… although, he also just has that vibe when you look at him that you know he was a wild-child back in his day, and a demon in the sheets. And whilst those days may be past him, if you were to think of him in an intimate aspect, you’d be likely to imagine a sensual and romantic, smouldering slow-burn with buckets of stamina.

What does he usually do?

He’s the Professor of the History of Necromancy and the Undead at the College of Winterhold, and his course is important because he teaches his students very thoroughly about the dangers and risks involved in dealing with necromancy, undead and daedra - he, himself, being a walking example. He can often be found either in the Arcaneum, teaching in the Hall of the Elements, sparring with his daughter in the Midden or counselling students in his assigned office quarters. He has unintentionally become the ‘school therapist’ (or rather, the ‘dad’), because his students find him easy to talk to. (If you like Buffy, he’s a bit of a Rupert Giles)

Personality?

A very caring INTJ. A good listener, a logical mind, and tends to offer more practical advice than purely emotional support; he’s caring enough to try to help you solve your problems, instead of just patting you on the back and telling you that you’ll be ok. He can be quite socially anxious, but it’s not obvious at first glance; during lectures, he commands the room, speaks very well, cracks jokes and engages everyone (all in all, a beloved and popular teacher), however one look at his hands can tell you that he’s not as calm as he appears - it’s subtle, but they tremble. He’s docile and friendly, but genuinely frightening when pushed too far; he’s got an extremely long fuse, but when set off, he blows up VERY suddenly. 0 to 100 at lightning speed, speaking gently one minute then pinning someone against the wall by their throat the next. The only sure-fire way to piss him off is to threaten his daughter. He’s a very patient man, otherwise. But that’s not to say he won’t warn you first; if he rolls his shoulders, squares up, and asks you something politely along the lines of ‘would you like to clarify?’… back off. He’s also got a fun (if somewhat reckless) rebellious streak that doesn’t show itself often. The easiest way to get a glimpse of Severin’s naughty streak is to take notice of the antics his daughter, Llevana, gets up to.

Backstory

Part 1 (Somewhere Near Necrom, Morrowind)

Severin was introduced to pit fighting as a child in order to survive and earn his keep (he was paid in food and smokes), which he brought home to his sickly mother. At first, he was put up against skeevers. As he got bigger and smarter, so did his opponents. Eventually, the pit-fighting lead into grave-robbing and tomb-raiding, anything he could do to get his hands on gold, quickly, to look after himself and his mother. When his mother died suddenly, he found himself completely alone, and so began his obsessions with disease and death. He started fucking around with necromancy, trying to find a way to end disease and ultimately bring his mother back from the dead, wanting to bring her back so that she was completely impervious to sickness. He discovered he had a real knack for it when he found himself effortlessly raising ash spawn and fallen bandits, and over the span of his late teenage years, he was a fully fledged necromancer, and a pretty powerful one, too. His problems really started when he began experimenting; it came from a good place at first - experimenting with different strains of disease on the undead in order to attempt to create a vaccine-potion of sorts, but when he started mixing diseases, he got too far in over his head, ending up mutating his undead thralls into monstrous, violent, plagued abominations, barrelling his way down the rabbit hole of altering their very makeup, taking certain elements of the diseases to make his thralls faster, stronger, feel less pain and experience more bloodlust, and ‘live’ longer. In a way, he was making his own organic and genetically enhanced vampire. The end to his necromancy career came when he accidentally gave his creation sentience. The abomination he had created was in a staggering amount of both physical and mental agony, consistently screaming and begging for death. In a desperate bid to not destroy his research, Severin bargained with the Ideal Masters to take away the creature’s sentience again, but as soon as it was so, his creation simply devolved into complete violence and chaos, turned on him and almost murdered him, forcing him to kill it. Severin barely survived the encounter.

Part 2 (Vvardenfell, Morrowind)

After ditching necromancy and conjuration, Severin began down the path of learning restoration, alchemy and history, under the wing of the Telvanni mages who took him on after obscene amounts of begging. It was with the Telvanni that he met his late-wife, Llunela (They’re a T4T couple), with whom he often found himself after getting injured doing spellwork and alchemy. Eventually, Severin and Llunela moved in together and began building their lives on Vvardenfell, and soon enough, along came Llevana. When Llevana was two, however, the Red Mountain erupted. Hearing the rumble in the distance, Severin and Llunela fled their home, Severin with his daughter in his arms. As they were fleeing, Llunela fell, lost to the ash-flow pretty much instantly. With no time to react, Severin kept running, shielding Llevana from the ash and the heat with his body, holding up his magical ward for as long as he could, despite his skin beginning to blister and burn. He ran as far as he could, as fast as he could, and when he ran out of land, he started to swim, holding Llevana above the water. Sooner or later, though, he became exhausted and floated on his back, keeping her on his chest, so that if he died, she would not drown. He managed to stay awake, though, channelling his magic in alternation into keeping himself afloat and healing both himself and Llevana (whose arms had suffered some burning), and soon washed up on the coast, somewhere near Blacklight.

Part 3 (Somewhere Near Blacklight, Morrowind)

The first thing Severin did after washing up on the coast with his daughter was getting rid of their clothes, to prevent the fabric from sticking to their wounds. Still fuelled purely by adrenaline and the will to keep Llevana safe, Severin walked along the volcanic beach, naked, burnt and glassy-eyed, until he was found by a random civilian, who mistook him, at first, for an ash-spawn, until seeing the child he carried in his arms. They were taken in and tended to, healed and sheltered as much as possible, before they were well enough to move on.

Part 4 (Windhelm, Skyrim)

Severin moved into the Grey Quarter with Llevana as a refugee, where he took up pit-fighting again to provide for her, too unfamiliar with the region and afraid. For Llevana, he fought all sorts, from Orcs in their Strongholds to lowlifes in Riften’s Ratway, to corsairs on Smuggler Ships, only this time his skirmishes were made more interesting by his abilities with magic - this excited those who came to watch, resulting in him being paid more handsomely. Pit fighting in Skyrim had the same rules as pit fighting in Morrowind: none. Just survival. Bloody, brutal survival. Soon, however, he faced his most impressive fight - surrounded by blazing bonfires, scared out of his wits, he faced off against a giant. And despite his now traumatic fear of fire, he used the fire to his advantage, goading the Giant into chasing him around the pit, using his magic to augment the flames each time the Giant passed them, before finishing his opponent off by climbing onto the giant’s back and forcing its head into the fire. An altmer mage had been watching the fight, and recommended that Severin join the College of Winterhold, since his magic and intellect was ‘wasted’ in the pits.

Part 5 (Winterhold, Skyrim)

It would be many years (seventeen, to be precise), working with Nurelion in Windhelm, before Severin mustered up the courage to apply for a position at the College of Winterhold, afraid of not being good enough to teach and turned down, and also afraid of what the mages would think of him to look at him if he was accepted. Savos Aren, however, took a keen interest; whilst Severin didn’t quite have enough academic experience, he did have hell of a lot of field experience, and after a long interview, Severin was granted his position of Professor at the College.

What is he currently working on?

Alongside his teaching, Severin’s current research includes alchemical experimentation with blood compounds, so that he can help the more reasonable vampires who wish to be helped with their afflictions; he’s trying to create an artificial blood alternative.

What is Llevana like?

Llevana, now aged 19, looks a lot like her father, and she has her mother’s eyes and cheeky smile. She’s got her mum’s quick wit and academic prowess, and her father’s adventurous and experimental streak alongside his resilience. Her fascination is with the Dwemer, and she spends most of her time as Arniel Gane’s pupil, although the other portions of her time are spent either with Enthir, going dungeons crawling in Dwemer ruins, or trying to convince poor Severin that she’s perfectly safe. Her current pet project involves her dismantling dwarven centurions, spheres and spiders with intent to re-create a sort of dwemer pod-racer (which she intends to drag Enthir into in order to race around Blackreach faster, and to more efficiently avoid having to deal with the Falmer during her research).

Does Severin have PTSD?

Absolutely. No questioning it. He also has a permanent tremor in his hands and has absent PTSD triggered seizures (that look a lot like dissociation).

Will he find love again?

There is a certain closeted and repressed Thalmor mage who could learn a lot from him (and whom he could also learn a lot from)…

Did Necromancy have an effect on him?

Other than the trauma, yes. Dealing with the Ideal Masters corrupted quite a hefty chunk of his soul. Falion in Morthal might be able to help, if they research together.

What are his main proficiencies?

His very best skills are in Conjuration (Necromancy), Restoration (from his studies) and Alchemy (from his experiments), followed by One-Handed (from Pit-Fighting), Sneak (From Tomb-Raiding), Speech (From Teaching), Lockpicking (From Graverobbing) and Pickpocketing (Also from Graverobbing).

Does he have any special interests?

Vampires are a strong favourite of his; even though he’s not in his prime anymore, he’s definitely akin to a sort of Van-Helsing type figure. He may yet join the Dawnguard if his curiosity takes him there. With his daughter all grown up, a mer’s gotta have a hobby… but Isran would probably detest him, as Severin’s less excited about killing vampires and more excited about talking to and studying them to see if he can help them.

Have any of his other experiments gone wrong?

Many, but research is what it is. Trial and error. He’s accidentally paralysed himself a few times, contracted Sanguinare Vampiris by stupidly sampling a vampire heart, cured it, and blown up his alchemy table. He’s also been bitten by vampires SO many times.

Who are his friends?

He’s good friends with Tolfdir, Colette Marence and Urag Gro-Shub. Further back, he’s friendly with Nurelion and his old neighbours in the Grey Quarter, however there is one person he goes wayyyy back with: Teldryn Sero. He and Teldryn used to go Tomb-Raiding on the regular before the disaster. They met up in Solstheim when Severin was pit-fighting and raiding again to provide for Llevana and teamed up. Llevana calls him ‘Uncle Tel’.

Olivia era a filha indesejada do casal Priestly. BIOGRAPHY

izumi is born as the middle child in a family of overachievers. her father's a finance analyst at a skyscraper somewhere, and her mother's a surgeon. they are impossible to impress, and it takes a while for izumi to realize she does not have to strive to do that, she does not have to for that unachievable goal. at the end of the day, it's clear it will only make her unhappy. albeit their parents are working for most hours of the day ( and night ) the tanaka siblings grow up in a somewhat peaceful and pleasant household. as it is common between siblings, there are screaming matches and spats every once in a while, and it's usually izumi who tries to find the balance in between them. they grow up, and izumi finds her passion in languages. it's her favorite thing about new york, the fact that there are so many people from so many countries. she first realizes her talent with it when speaking with one of their neighbors. she picks up spanish from an old lady who finds her very well-behaved, and cooks for her every once in a while. during high school, she takes as many electives as she can, and joins other language courses. it's clear that she will apply for a linguistics major, and does her best to keep her gpa high. applies to many colleges throughout the country, and is over the moon when she gets into nyu. however, unlike her other siblings, she does not get a full ride, and while her parents are ready to help — she wants to pay them back eventually. university life is different, though it's also a space where she grows and becomes her own person. moving to a flat with a roommate, she learns how to stand on her own two feet. gets close to her professors, and they encourage her to pursue an academic career. after graduating, she gets into grad school. it's difficult to juggle while also working, but izumi wouldn't change it for the world. when it comes to her personality, she is pedantic. usually gets stuck in the details, which helps a lot in her studies, but not so much in real life. super careful, and calculative, the type of person who wants to know exactly the itinerary of a day before going out to meet someone to hang out. she has been trying to cut loose, but it's sometimes a challenge. she loves expressing herself through fashion and clothes, and can be found wearing color-coded outfits depending on the day. cheerful, but can get stuck in her head when something does not go according to plan.
