Think I'm pretty -John Price NSFW

Hello, I would like to make a request, please? Court AU/ Lawyer AU Lawyer!Fem!Reader x Lawyer!Price (both as opposition) - they both in court debating over a minor case (gaz+ Soap vs neighbour) - reader representing neighbour whilst price representing soap, debating about noise policies Sorry if this idea is a bit jumble up / difficult. 😅 But tqsm!!! 🫡🫡🫡✊✊🥺 ---- F!Reader, 18+, MDNI, smut, lawyer!Price, Lawyer!Reader, oral!sex, cheating ----
A/N: I know there was no smut requested but my mind immediately needed it..sorry<3
The room is silent. Everyone in the room standing up. Both sides do not dare to look at the other. You sigh as everyone gets ordered to sit down. You, a successful lawyer and your opponent John Price have always had trouble getting along, not just because he always disagrees with you, even outside of court but also because of how cocky he is. Today, as you see him back in court, he gives you a smirk. Oh, how you wish to win this case.
"John Mactavish and Kyle Garrick versus George Allen and others." The woman so softly speaks. "Neighbourhood guidelines about noise policies in a private community, this case will be dealt with by Lord Edward." You prepare your files in hand and when the time begins, you speak up. "Judge and jury, today, we are here for the case these young and immature men have caused. The community in which both live in has already received calls upon calls for the disturbance of these two young men," you begin.
For nearly 20 minutes after your and Price's opening statements, the problem became worse. Both MacTavish and Garrick began to get louder, pointing fingers at your client. You would occasionally roll your eyes and cover your smile when you'd see Price get frustrated over his client's words.
Maybe, after all, you'd win this one.
"No, what I'm saying is, if this absolute fookin' idiot understood how speakers and parties work, we wouldn't be here!" Kyle stands up and Price has to force him to sit back down.
Your client keeping calm, just like you had ordered them to. It's easy. These two guys are showing the court how bad of neighbours they can be and before you knew it, the men whom you stood upon, sighed as once again MacTavish cussed your client.
"Here's what we'll do, and Price, keep your clients shut or they will hurt themselves more," a deep sigh, "Y/N, your client is in the right. The papers and signatures are on file. Price, your clients are meant to keep quiet, not have a rave in their backyard. If there is one more complaint, the community in which both parties are a part of, can and will have the right to hand MacTavish and Garrick an eviction notice. Y/N, your client shan't step into their yard and if it does happen, MacTavish and Garrick can receive a restraining order against Mr. Allen."
It was clear this was a long one for the court to hear.
After the trial though, the two men Price represented were told to leave before your client saw them again. It was better this way.
You shook Price's hand, and he nodded at you and smiled. "You look rather beautiful today," he says in such a soft tone that makes him appear as if he was a completely different man from the one you argued against. "You look…okay for a shit lawyer," you smile back. "Oh darling," he laughs.
You don't have time for any proper conversation and as soon as you receive all files, you leave the room. Price knows where he can find you. After all, it's always been the number one spot for you to hang out after trials and long arguments.
The small pub that welcomes you also welcomes John. "Care to tell me why you're following me?" You turn to him and he gives you a cocky grin. "What, can't I come here to just relax?" "You? No."
"Still hurt over what happened years ago?" "You stole my case, of course I am. And you knew I was asking for it so I have no idea why the hell you'd go for it."
It was a known story. After all, it's how John and you became such rivals in court. But, it never has to end like that, right?
"It's called business darling," his hand snakes over yours and before anything else can happen, you pull away.
He sighs. "What, too good for me now?" His lips touching your ear. You shift away, trying to not yell at him here. It just isn't right, especially in front of so many others who respect you. "I'm not here to be annoyed by some-" You get cut off when he places his hand around your neck. "What, darling? Say it. Hmm, am I mediocre? incompetent? don't act like you weren't fucking moaning my name years ago. You and I know well that you liked me like I did you," his voice deep and in a whisper. Your hand on his wrist.
"You and I both know that was a mistake," you answer back and he shakes his head. "Tsk, tsk, mistakes are a one-time thing. You know you slept in my bed longer than anyone else. What? Did you forget you used to fuck those pretty fingers of yours to my voice?" he chuckles, almost mocking the nights you two spend together.
He sees that you aren't budging to his questions or comments, it's frustrating. He wants you, you know he does. His body and yours are like a puzzle, the one you both know all too well about.
"Look, I know…i know I'm a selfish son of a bitch but you also have your flaws and-"
"And what are they? hm? Because at least a cheating wife or a stupid fucking face like yours is not a problem I have to face."
Oh does he love it when you bite back.
It was true, which is why he nods. "I do have a cheating wife, the face part though…that is false. You should know. I mean you rode my face almost every night, darling" A smirk grows on him.
He notices your silence.
"What, did you not enjoy how i ate that pretty pussy of yours? Or was it too good that the orgasms made you forget?" he chuckles once more.
Is it bad he needs you again? That he wishes you laid on his bed and not the mistake of a girl he married? Sure she was funny but you…oh fuck. You are smart, gorgeous, funny, sexy…fuck..you're perfect.
"My flat is just a ten-minute drive from here, you can always come…maybe pay me a visit…or two..maybe a whole holiday."
You look at him and then at the drink in your hands. You did want him, yearned for his love again.
"The guy you're talking to is no good. Now, me…I'm handsome, funny, good with my hands and mouth and…well…you know the rest."
Was it a risk? yes. Did you both want it? Yes. So…is this why now after practically thirty minutes of asking you are in his car and on the way to his place?
Once inside his flat, he doesn't waste a second and in a matter of moments, he has you on the couch, his mouth to your neck. His calloused hands take your clothes off. His cock is needy to have you again.
His lips move up, embracing you in a kiss. A much-needed one. "Fuck did I miss you, Y/N," he groans. It was more than a need for sex, but for all the other fun and good emotions, you two brought to each other. His fingers teased your folds as he removed your panties. "Hm, already wet for me? Tsk, tsk, tsk. Need to do something about this, huh love," he slowly goes down on you. His lips are attached to your precious body. From your neck to your hips, his lips ran from. Your aching cunt begging for his tongue.
Once his fingers have enough slick covering them, he pushes them deep inside. A small moan escapes your lips. Eager thing, aren't you?
His tongue lapping at your folds all as his thumb rubs your clit over and over. This is what you always needed after a long day at court.
The sensation is so good. Feels like mythical waves of pleasure but it all stops abruptly. One stupid phone call and he leaves you there. "Stay, I'll come back later tonight, love," he kisses your forehead and walks out.
If only he didn't think his wife was pretty, his hands would be all over you

23. Man, oh man, you’re my best friend. I scream into the nothingness
Summary : Kyle Dawson would never be more than a childhood crush to Romy Schumacher and she had made her peace with that fact a long time ago. But when a drunken night leads her to wake up next to him, new and old feelings come back to the surface, and what started as a mistake quickly becomes a habit. Even if she swore to herself that she would never fall again for the world champion, her heart had other plans. After all, the heart has its reasons, of which reason knows nothing.
Masterlist - Previously - Next
Chapter soundtrack : Home - Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros
The warm sun greeted Romy and Kyle as they stepped off the plane, the humid air carrying a refreshing, salty scent that wrapped around them like a soft embrace. The Maldives spread out before them in all its postcard-perfect glory—the crystal-clear waters, white sandy beaches, and the gently swaying palm trees creating an idyllic backdrop. The vibrant colors of the ocean seemed to erase every lingering thought in Romy’s mind. The peacefulness of it all settled her, calming her frayed nerves and giving her a chance to breathe.
Romy had desperately needed this. The weeks before their trip had been filled with too much responsibility, too much worry. She had given all her energy to Julia—being the strong, supportive friend she needed—while balancing her own guilt over Kyle and the growing tension she felt in her relationship. Her emotions were a tangled mess, and the weight of it all had begun to wear on her. The Maldives, with its perfect stillness, was just what she needed.
Kyle, on the other hand, had been equally consumed by his own pressures. The season had weighed heavily on him—his responsibilities as an F1 driver, the ever-present pressure to perform, and the personal toll it had taken on him as he watched Ethan and Julia's relationship fall apart. There hadn’t been a single moment where he’d been able to step back and just be himself, just enjoy life without the constant scrutiny of the paddock.
Now, finally, here they were—far from the chaos of their usual lives. They weren’t just taking a vacation; they were escaping to a place where they could forget the demands of the world around them and focus on each other. There were no interviews to attend, no media circus to navigate, no responsibilities pulling at Kyle. For the first time in ages, he could just relax, without the weight of expectations hanging over him.
“I can’t believe we’re here,” Kyle said as they walked toward their private villa, his excitement palpable. His eyes sparkled, a genuine, carefree joy radiating from him. He pulled Romy into his side, pressing a quick kiss to her temple as they strolled down the beach. “This is exactly what we needed. No worries, just us.”
Romy looked at him, her heart swelling with affection. She could see the tension starting to leave his shoulders, the weight of the past few months lifting with every step they took on the soft sand. For once, he wasn’t the Formula 1 driver—the public figure who had to be constantly on alert. In this moment, he was just Kyle—the man she loved, standing beside her in paradise.
“I couldn’t have imagined anything better,” she said, her voice light and airy as she squeezed his hand, the simple gesture grounding her in the present moment.
They arrived at the villa, a sleek and modern space that felt like it belonged in a dream. Romy took a deep breath, savoring the view of the turquoise ocean stretching endlessly before them, the gentle breeze tousling her hair. The air felt different here—lighter, freer, as if the troubles of the world couldn’t reach them in this oasis.
Kyle dropped his bag and moved toward the pool, glancing back at her with a grin. “How about we make the most of this and jump in?”
Romy laughed, her worries slipping away with each second she spent here with him. She walked over to the edge of the pool, taking in the view of the beach and the endless horizon. It felt surreal to be here, away from everything—the paddock, the chaos, the heavy emotional burdens. For the first time in a long time, it was just them, existing in their little bubble of tranquility.
“You know,” Kyle said, breaking her reverie, “I really think we deserve this. After everything. All the stress. All the pressure we’ve been under.” He stepped toward her, a playful glint in his eyes. “It’s about time we take a moment to just… be happy. Together.”
Romy felt her chest tighten with gratitude. “You’re right,” she said softly, her gaze meeting his. “This is exactly what we both need. A chance to breathe. A chance to just be us. No expectations. No distractions.”
Kyle smiled, pulling her into a warm embrace, his fingers gently brushing her hair. The tenderness in his touch reminded her of why she’d chosen him—why she’d always chosen him. He was her calm in the storm, her safe place when everything around them felt like it was spinning out of control.
Together, they stood in that peaceful moment, embracing the stillness of the world around them and the quiet joy they found in just being together. Here, in the Maldives, they didn’t have to worry about anything. They were just two people in love, finally allowed to relax, to laugh, to rediscover each other without the weight of the world on their shoulders.
For Romy, this trip wasn’t just a vacation—it was a reset, a chance to find her way back to herself. It was a chance to reconnect with Kyle, to rebuild the intimacy they’d both longed for, without distractions. The days ahead promised nothing but sunshine, freedom, and the possibility of new beginnings.
And for the first time in what felt like forever, Romy allowed herself to fully embrace the happiness she shared with Kyle. In the Maldives, surrounded by paradise, she had permission to live in the moment—and maybe, just maybe, to let her heart open up to whatever came next.
The day passed in a blur of tropical adventures, each moment more exhilarating than the last. Romy and Kyle had spent the morning snorkeling, diving into the crystal-clear waters with nothing but the sound of their own breath and the gentle splashes of waves around them. The coral reefs stretched beneath them, vibrant and alive with colorful fish darting between rocks, and the occasional sea turtle gliding by. The sunlight broke through the water’s surface in shimmering beams, illuminating everything in its golden glow.
Kyle swam ahead with his usual confidence, his movements smooth and sure as he pointed out a massive stingray gliding effortlessly beneath them. “Look at that!” he called, his voice filled with excitement. “That’s a beauty!”
Romy floated a little behind, eyes wide, her body still getting used to the unfamiliarity of the open water. Her heart raced every time she ventured just a little farther from the safety of the shallow sandbar. The deep blue water felt both inviting and intimidating, and her nerves kicked in each time she glanced at the swirling, endless expanse.
“Come on, babe!” Kyle waved her over with a teasing grin, his voice full of playful encouragement. “The reef is amazing! You don’t want to miss this!”
Romy hesitated, staring at the deep, dark water ahead. She could see the schools of fish darting around the rocks below, the lure of adventure pulling at her, but her feet felt heavy, as though the ocean was asking her to dive into the unknown. She bit her lip and shifted uncomfortably in the shallow water.
Kyle noticed, swimming back to her in lazy strokes, his brows furrowing slightly with concern. “Hey, are you okay?” he asked, his voice soft but still playful. “You’re not scared, are you?”
Romy gave a small, embarrassed laugh, shaking her head. “I don’t know... I think I’m just a little nervous,” she admitted, offering him a sheepish smile. “I’ve never really been out this far before.”
Kyle raised an eyebrow, his lips curling into a teasing smile. “You’re a little scared of a fish? Babe, you’ve faced much scarier things than this.” He swam closer, his hand outstretched, his thumb brushing gently over her palm. “But it’s okay. I’ve got you.”
Romy glanced at his hand for a moment before taking it, her nerves softening as she felt his reassuring touch. His presence grounded her, and she realized that, with him by her side, the world didn’t seem so overwhelming. Kyle gently pulled her through the water, guiding her step by step, until they reached the deeper part of the reef.
“This is it,” Kyle said, his voice low with excitement as he held her close. “Look around, babe. This is the real deal.”
Romy looked down at the reef, her eyes widening as she took in the beauty beneath them—the corals in every shade of orange, pink, and purple, the tiny fish weaving between the plants like they were part of a delicate dance. The water around them was an intoxicating blue, the world above their heads faded away, and all that was left was the peaceful silence beneath the surface, broken only by their breathing and the occasional splash.
For a moment, Romy forgot her worries entirely. She didn’t feel the nervousness she had earlier; there was no more hesitation. She felt light, as though the ocean itself was cradling her, and Kyle’s steady presence beside her made her feel safe.
“This is nice,” she murmured, her voice softer now, a smile tugging at her lips. “I think I’m starting to get it.”
Kyle laughed, his voice warm and easy. “Told you it’s amazing. You were acting all nervous, but look at you now. You’re practically a pro.”
Romy rolled her eyes playfully, giving him a light nudge with her shoulder. “You’re such a show-off,” she teased, her voice light with affection. “But seriously, this is incredible. You were right.”
Kyle grinned, pulling her a little closer, his arms wrapping protectively around her waist. “I told you you’d love it. It’s the best way to see the world. Just us, the water, and no distractions.”
They floated together, the gentle current carrying them along, and Romy felt her heart settle into a peaceful rhythm. In that moment, she wasn’t worried about Julia or Kyle’s career or the future. She was just here, in this serene paradise, with the man she loved, feeling the warmth of the sun on her skin and the calm of the ocean around them.
Kyle’s hand slipped to her back, his fingers tracing slow patterns across her skin. “I love that I get to share this with you,” he murmured, his voice tender.
Romy looked up at him, her heart swelling with affection. “Me too,” she whispered, her fingers brushing the edge of his jaw. “This is exactly what we needed.”
He leaned down, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead, his lips lingering there for just a second longer than usual. “Exactly,” he agreed. “Just you, me, and the ocean. No stress. No responsibilities. Just us.”
And in that moment, surrounded by the endless blue and the love between them, everything felt right.
As the sun began to dip below the horizon, painting the sky with shades of pink and orange, Romy and Kyle walked side by side along the beach, their feet sinking slightly into the soft sand. The gentle sound of the waves crashing against the shore seemed to lull everything into a peaceful rhythm. The air was warm, but not stifling, carrying with it the sweet scent of saltwater and flowers.
Romy looked at Kyle, her heart lifting in her chest. There was something so simple, so grounding about walking with him like this, no distractions, just the two of them in the quiet of the moment.
Kyle’s hand found hers, his fingers curling around hers in a familiar, comforting way. “This is perfect,” he murmured, his voice low, almost to himself.
Romy smiled, feeling the same way. Everything about this moment was exactly what she needed. They had escaped to a place where nothing mattered except them—no work, no family dramas, no distractions. Just the beauty of the Maldives, the tranquility of the ocean, and the warmth of the man beside her.
When they reached the spot where Kyle had arranged their dinner, Romy’s breath caught in her throat. A table had been set up right by the water, candles flickering softly, casting a warm, romantic glow over everything. The sound of a distant guitar drifted toward them, adding a touch of elegance to the already magical setting.
“You went all out,” Romy said, her voice filled with awe as she glanced around, unable to take it all in. The table was surrounded by palm trees, their fronds swaying gently in the breeze. It felt like something out of a dream.
Kyle grinned, his eyes sparkling with pride. “Anything for my girl,” he replied, pulling out her chair and making sure she was comfortable before taking his own seat.
Romy sat back, taking in the beauty of the moment. The ocean stretched endlessly in front of them, the colors of the sky melting into one another, creating a perfect canvas. The quiet hum of the guitar played in the background, as though it was meant just for them.
They dug into the meal, savoring each bite. But it wasn’t just the food that made the evening special—it was the way Kyle looked at her, the way their conversation flowed effortlessly. The easy banter, the deep talks, and everything in between. It felt like they were the only two people on Earth, and the rest of the world could wait.
“You know,” Kyle said, his voice suddenly softening as he reached across the table, taking her hand in his, “I’m just so happy we’re here.”
Romy looked at him, her heart swelling at the sincerity in his eyes. The warmth of his touch, the gentleness of his voice—it made her feel safe, loved, and incredibly lucky.
“I know,” she replied, her voice barely above a whisper. “It’s been a crazy few weeks, hasn’t it? With everything with Julia and… just life. But now, with you? Everything just feels right.”
Kyle squeezed her hand gently, his thumb brushing the back of her palm. “The world’s been insane lately,” he agreed. “ I’ve never felt more at peace than I do right now, sitting here with you.”
Romy’s heart skipped a beat. She felt the same way. The chaos of the last few months had worn her down, but in this moment, with the ocean breeze and the soft glow of the candles around them, everything else melted away. All that mattered was what was right in front of her.
She squeezed his hand back, her voice soft and full of feeling. “You make me feel so loved, Kyle. I don’t think I’ve ever truly understood what it meant to have someone by your side the way you are. You’re everything I needed and more.”
Kyle’s gaze softened, and he brushed a strand of hair from her face, his fingers lingering against her skin. “You deserve all of it, Romy. You’ve been through so much. You’re stronger than you know, but you deserve happiness. You deserve someone who will take care of you the way you take care of everyone else.”
Romy blinked back tears, feeling overwhelmed by the weight of his words. She had never felt so seen, so cherished, and it made her realize just how much she had been longing for this kind of love—quiet, steady, and unwavering.
“Thank you,” she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion. “Thank you for being here with me, for making me feel like I matter.”
Kyle’s smile was gentle but full of love. “You matter more than you know,” he said softly. “And I’m so glad I get to be the one to make you feel that way.”
They sat there for a moment, just holding each other’s gaze, the quiet of the beach wrapping around them like a cocoon. The sound of the guitar playing in the distance, the soft crash of the waves, and the warmth of Kyle’s hand in hers made Romy feel like the luckiest woman in the world.
For once, everything was as it should be. The future seemed bright, full of possibilities, and Romy knew that no matter what came next, she wasn’t alone. Not anymore.
Later that night, after dinner, the soft glow of the moon reflected on the waves as they walked hand-in-hand down to the beach. The sound of the ocean’s gentle rhythm filled the air, a perfect soundtrack to the quiet beauty of the island. They found a secluded spot, far from the resort lights, and laid out a blanket on the soft, cool sand.
Romy nestled beside Kyle, their bodies close but not yet touching. The stars above them were a breathtaking canvas, each one twinkling as if it were a secret just for them. Kyle was the first to break the silence, his voice calm, almost dreamlike.
“You know,” he began, his words drifting through the air like the cool breeze, “I’ve always wanted to have kids someday. A little family, you know? It’s funny to think about, but I can picture it.”
Romy’s heart skipped a beat at his words. For a moment, she felt her breath catch in her chest. The idea of a family with him, a future beyond the present, was something she hadn’t allowed herself to truly think about before. She turned her head to look at him, but his eyes were fixed on the stars, unaware of the weight of his words.
“Yeah?” she asked, her voice quiet but soft with curiosity.
Kyle smiled, his gaze never leaving the sky. “Yeah. Not right now, but… someday. It just feels like something I want, you know?”
Romy swallowed, her chest tightening. “I get it,” she replied, her voice barely above a whisper. The idea of having a future with Kyle, building something together, made her feel both excited and vulnerable. But she knew this moment was one of those rare, perfect ones where everything felt possible.
Kyle finally turned his head to meet her eyes, his face soft and sincere. He reached out, brushing a stray lock of hair behind her ear, his touch gentle and lingering. “I’ve never really said this, but I know you’re it for me, Romy. I want everything with you. Whatever that looks like.”
Romy closed her eyes, feeling the weight of his words deep in her chest. She leaned in, her lips brushing his in a soft, tender kiss. It started slow, almost tentative, but quickly grew deeper as their bodies instinctively pressed closer together. The kiss ignited something between them, and Romy’s pulse raced as she pulled him closer, feeling his warmth against her.
Kyle’s hands roamed to her waist, slipping beneath the fabric of her sundress. His touch was warm and sure, sending sparks of heat through her body. His fingers trailed up her sides, grazing the bare skin of her ribs, and she felt her breath hitch in her throat. His lips left hers to trail along her neck, his kisses light but hungry, and Romy couldn’t help but let out a soft gasp.
“Kyle…” she murmured, her body instinctively arching toward him.
He smiled against her skin, the heat of his lips spreading to every part of her. “What is it, baby?” he asked, his voice rougher now, full of desire.
Romy met his gaze, her body burning with the need to be closer. “Don’t stop,” she whispered, her hands sliding to the back of his neck, pulling him down for another kiss.
The kiss deepened, both of them breathing harder now, as Kyle’s hand slid to her thigh, his fingers brushing the soft skin there. Romy’s entire body seemed to react to his touch, a fire igniting that she hadn’t known she needed. She let out a breathy moan, feeling herself respond to the warmth and intensity of his body against hers.
Kyle pulled away slightly, his forehead resting against hers, his breath mingling with hers as they both struggled to catch their breath. “Are you sure?” he asked, his voice thick with desire but laced with tenderness.
Romy’s heart raced, but there was no hesitation in her voice. “Yes.”
With that, Kyle leaned in again, his hands moving with intent, undressing her slowly, giving her time to process, to want it. She followed his lead, her hands moving to undo his shirt, eager to feel him against her. Every touch was a spark, every kiss a promise. They kissed, touched, and whispered in a dance of passion under the moonlit sky, with the waves crashing around them, as if the world had slowed down just for them.
When they finally found their rhythm, the world outside disappeared. There was only the soft rush of the ocean and the connection between them, stronger than either had imagined. The night stretched on, an endless, perfect moment between two people who were learning just how much they needed each other.
Afterward, lying side by side, the cool breeze kissed their heated skin. Romy rested her head on Kyle’s chest, her heart still racing from the intensity of the moment. She felt whole, utterly connected, and she realized, somewhere deep inside her, that this moment—this night—was the beginning of something more than she’d ever expected.
Kyle’s fingers brushed through her hair as he kissed the top of her head. “I never want this to end,” he whispered.
Romy smiled, feeling the weight of his words settle deep in her heart. “Me neither,” she whispered back. And for the first time in a long while, she felt completely at peace.

Top 10 2023
cuz I’m a nerd
10. Skinamarink

Ultralowbudget horror that really stuck w me. Architecture as horror.
Hallways that change size. Doors that disappear. Walls that inch closer. A disembodied voice coaxing you to horrific acts. Excited to see where Kyle Edward Ball goes from here!
9. The Holdovers

Newly minted winter holiday classic.
The core trio of Sessa, Giamatti, and Randolph kill it. Lots of faux 70s cinematic flair (complete w grainy mono audio) and a script that plays the familiar coming of age beats with enough cynical bite to keep it from falling into saccharine cliche, & a warmth for its characters that keeps it from falling into despairing melodrama. Just damn good all around!
8. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

What hasn’t already been said? Gorgeous animation, a fantastic ensemble of characters, and better action than any superhero movie I’ve seen in quite some time (kinetic, emotionally charged, and LEGIBLE!), w a soundtrack to match. this film takes so much care w its characters - Miles talking to his Mom/Dad, Gwen confronting her Father, Miguel bickering w peter, the downtime w everyone is just as compellingly crafted as the action. 💕
7. Anatomy of a Fall

Juicy French courtroom drama that is ostensibly about whether or not a renown novelist (a perfectly calculated Sandra Hüller) killed her husband, Justine Triet turns her camera’s gaze to a number of intriguing themes - the malleability of memory, the gender politics of the French court system, the existential dread of having the minutiae of one’s most private moments picked apart before a ravenous public’s eyes.
best dog performance in a film ever✨
6. Poor Things

Yorgos, my love, back with his gnarled, prickly sense of sadistic humor & a fully-activated Emma Stone (goddamn!) and THE Mark Ruffalo performance - what a fun prick he is here. The physicality of the absolutely bonkers sets and costuming, coupled with its maximalist approach to untangling the Born-Sexy-Yesterday trope by way of Frankenstein (or Frankenhooker, honestly), this film was an absolute riot and KILLED in a theater. A fascinating aesthetic leap for Lanthimos and a real treat.
5. All Of Us Strangers

A film that, like its protagonist (an achingly tender Andrew Scott) devastatingly grasps for the universal by drilling down into the specifics. Adam spends his time writing, channeling the dead, communing with the grief of his past, searching for an escape hatch from the isolating pits of depression and a lifetime of self-doubts, if only for a fleeting moment, which, once found in the form of a hot mess of a neighbor (a superb Paul Mescal), only reinforces that underlying dread w the all too relatable need to capture it in amber, like plucking a star from the sky and feeding its radiance with your tears, hoping that maybe this time…maybe this time it’ll stick.
Like so many great queer films, this will ruin your day 💕
4. Oppenheimer

Nolan finally cracked the code. I’m not sure how he managed to turn a 3 hour epic about the pettiness, vindictiveness, utter disregard for humanity that the movers and shakers of the U.S. imperialist machine have for us all into a blockbuster event…until I hit play again, and Göransson’s score starts up, and Cillian Murphy’s haunting eyes appear…and it all just, makes sense. A rare film that never lets up and doesn’t suffer for it. It doesn’t hurt that every actor under the sun shows up.
Robert Downey Jr. plays catty soooo well lol.
3. The Zone of Interest

There’s a long-running dialogue in film history revolving around the aesthetics of war films, and whether or not there can ever be a truly “Anti-War” film because, by virtue of being a film with purposeful framing/pacing/blocking, it aestheticizes it, rendering the message moot. I don’t know that Zone of Interest is an ‘Answer’ to that conversation, but it is the most compelling entry in the conversation i’ve yet to see. A horrific film with no violence shown. A building nightmare without catharsis. No aesthetic flourish. Just soul-numbing inhumanity.
What death cries are we tuning out as we go about our day?
2. Killers of the Flower Moon

Martin Scorsese, with rewrites and input from the Osage Nation, takes what was supposed to be a bog standard whodunnit about the founding of the FBI and turns it into a spiritual treatise on the rot at the heart of the American mythos. DiCaprio is at his slimiest here, a fantastic, thankless turn, De Niro is at his most diabolical, but Lily Gladstone steals the show with her radiant aura of a screen presence. This is a 3.5hr film w lots of talking, lots of loud moments, guns and bombs and screeching….but its most powerful moments come from stillness, silence. A glance from afar. The sound of rainfall. The pregnant silence of a confession left unspoken: complicity.
One of Scorsese’s best. 💕
1. Asteroid City

Asteroid City is the best film Wes Anderson has made, and feels almost like a confession, an introspective dive into the why’s of his aesthetic distance from his characters. A 50s television dramatization of a production of a fictional play, the levels of artifice that wrap around these characters keep revealing new facets of their souls to us, their grief, their joy, their quests for meaning.
It’s also got UFOs, atom bombs, laser guns, a fantastic Jason Schwartzman in hot-depressed-dad mode, and folksy musical numbers about aliens! It’s a ton of fun, and a damn fine picture, one that is wrapped in layers of cinematic thrills it slowly unravels to reveal a tender, heart-melting center.💕

Brandon Aiyuk: Rising Star of the San Francisco 49ers
The NFL’s most exciting young wide receiver, Brandon Aiyuk, has made a name for himself by dashing opponents with his quickness, agility, and ability to make plays. Aiyuk, a vital member of the San Francisco 49ers, is a prime example of a player whose career in the professional ranks was built on talent, perseverance, and hard work. This blog will discuss the history of Brandon Aiyuk, his contributions to the 49ers, and his prospects going forward.
Childhood and College Years On March 17, 1998, Brandon Aiyuk was born in Reno, Nevada. He showed early signs of having a natural knack for athletics, especially football. Aiyuk was an excellent wide receiver, cornerback, and return specialist at Robert McQueen High School in Reno. His stellar performance in high school secured him a place at the junior college Sierra College in Rocklin, California, where he continued to hone his craft.
In 2018, Aiyuk went to Arizona State University from Sierra College, where he had two outstanding seasons and was named a Junior College All-American. Aiyuk flourished in the offense with the Sun Devils under head coach Herm Edwards’ tutelage. Notable stats from his senior year in 2019 were 1,192 receiving yards and eight touchdowns, which earned him a spot on the First Team All-Pac-12. NFL scouts were drawn to his outstanding collegiate performance, which paved the way for his professional career.
NFL Draft and the 49ers’ early years of play Being one of the best wide receiver prospects going into the 2020 NFL Draft was Brandon Aiyuk. His selection by the San Francisco 49ers with the 25th overall choice in the first round demonstrated their faith in his potential. Because of his adaptability and explosive playmaking ability, Aiyuk was a perfect fit for head coach Kyle Shanahan’s exciting scheme.
Despite the difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Aiyuk made an impression quite fast in his first season. In addition to two rushing scores, he concluded the season with 60 receptions for 748 yards and five touchdowns. His flexibility was demonstrated by his ability to produce as a runner and receiver, which made him an invaluable member of the 49ers.
Season 2021: Overcoming Obstacles Aiyuk faced several difficulties in his second NFL season, including a sluggish start and injuries. But as the season went on, he showed resiliency and a great work ethic, finally settling into a routine. By the end of the 2021 campaign, Aiyuk had demonstrated remarkable growth and cemented his position as a vital member of the 49ers’ offense with 56 receptions for 826 yards and five touchdowns.
Playing Style and Skill Set Brandon Aiyuk is renowned for his remarkable agility and adaptability. At six feet tall and two hundred pounds, he has the perfect mix of size and quickness for an NFL wide receiver. Aiyuk is a dependable target on both short and deep routes because of his quickness and agility, which enable him to gain distance from opponents.
The ability of Aiyuk to gain yards after the catch (YAC) is one of his most remarkable traits. He adds a dynamic aspect to the 49ers offense with his ability to turn short passes into major gains because to his elusiveness and vision. Aiyuk’s worth is further increased by his experience as a return specialist, as he can play a variety of attacking roles and contribute on special teams.
Effect on the 49ers The offense of the San Francisco 49ers has been significantly improved by Brandon Aiyuk’s arrival. Because of his adaptability, head coach Kyle Shanahan can create imaginative moves that make use of Aiyuk’s special set of skills. Aiyuk’s explosive plays keep teams guessing, whether he lines up as a wide receiver, running back, or return specialist.
It has also helped Aiyuk’s growth that seasoned players like George Kittle and Deebo Samuel play. Aiyuk’s development as a more accomplished player has been aided by his ability to learn from more seasoned teammates and coaches. Aiyuk is positioned to become a key component of the 49ers’ offensive approach as he develops further.
Considering the Future: Brandon Aiyuk’s Prospects Brandon Aiyuk appears to have a very bright future as he begins his third NFL season. Aiyuk has the talent, work attitude, and drive to succeed as one of the best wide receivers in the game. Trey Lance, the 49ers’ quarterback, leads an offensive line that offers Aiyuk plenty of room to develop and succeed going forward.
Both observers and fans are eager to watch Aiyuk’s career take shape. He will be a player to watch in the upcoming years because of his capacity for game-changing plays and dedication to honing his profession. The 49ers will need Aiyuk’s talents if they are to succeed in the fiercely contested NFC West.
In summary The path taken by Brandon Aiyuk from Reno, Nevada, to the NFL is evidence of his talent and tenacity. He has already had a big impact as a rising star for the San Francisco 49ers and still has a ton of potential. Aiyuk has the skill set and commitment to greatness to establish himself as one of the NFL’s top wide receivers.
One thing is certain as we anticipate the next phase of Brandon Aiyuk’s career: his greatest football playing moments are still to come. His tale is far from done.

Methods of Defeating Boston Basim (Jewish Mafiaso, Beacon Hill):
Economist: Register through class, as having emulated Native American reservation logic, as social issue.
Lawyer: Release an open review of single request, made out of context of legal contract.
Doctor: Allow two candidates, the mercenary engineers, to get into medical school, instead of the doctor.
Nurse: Expose to the rumor of the thong, being non-preferable, by preference to thong as workout clothing.
Social Worker: Allow father to guide all social worker meetings, then reverse back and forth in private, where non-necessary and moot.
Vice Informant: Befriend the vice informant's marital congresses, but use mathematics of a globe, not a map.
Politician: Place a concept of classhood, as a reference to a common television show; however, structure it, as if another episode of the show.
DC Comics (Mossad File Villains):
Jack Napier: A rich adventurer, playing a Mossad's game; the Pavlach.
Edward Nygma: A gay man by choice, not by breed; the Provisional Irish Republican Army.
Mister Fries: An honest homosexual, having studied medicine to bed a woman; the Ministry of Security Services.
Oswald Cobblepot: A poor kid out of Jewish Toranic culture, on a movie debate; the Boston Basim.
Garfield Lynns: The writer's flesh out of the military, the special education; the Church of Subgenius.

Follow up question:
Best ghoul dads...like LITERAL dads vs the ones that ran off and were later hunted down and castrated (by mama or her now grown up half-ghoul baby) and their dick turned into the centerpiece to a rather fetching crown...
This is a follow up to this post about how a big handful of ghouls would react to being told you're pregnant. Since this is something that can be slightly more generalized between people, I figured I'd answer this question like I answered the dick size question and cover all the ghouls I can think of. I've broken them up into a few categories. Thanks for reading!
Ranking Ghouls by Fatherhood Ability
Best Dad Ever, such a good dad that it makes you feel insecure about your own parenting skills: Gob, older John Hancock, Edward Deegan, Cooper Howard (who's cheating because he's got over a decade of experience being a dad already)
A Very Good Dad, tries hard but occasionally makes mistakes: Doctor Barrows, Quinn, Winthrop, Raul Tejada, Rotface, The Vault-Tec Rep, Ham
Emotionally Distant, But Loving: Roy Philips, Joshua Graham, Charon, Kyle Edwards, Arlen Glass (still mourns the daughter he's lost), Kent Connolly
Well-Meaning, Makes Terrible Choices: Barrett, Desmond Lockheart, Grecks
Physically Present, But That's About It: Crowley, Murphy, Tommy Lonegan
Best Dad Ever*** (only if the child turns out to be special/talented/useful to them and not for a moment longer): Ahzrukhal, Andy Scabb, Dean Domino
Straight Up Deadbeat: Patchwork, Harland, Jason Bright, Eddie Winter, young John Hancock

Hey, remember how we never got an answer over how the Doctor Aesop stuff and being betrayed by his friends when he was having a bad mental health episode that could jeopardy his whole redemption thing affected Eddie and his relationship with the Sirens because the universe just got freaking rebooted? Yeah. I will never not be bitter about it.
I mean even if it ended with him going back to vilanny it would at least come with a pretty intense revenge ploy against the Sirens and the fact he speneded that whole time being mentioned as Harley and Selina's friend would bite all three of them in the ass (the Sirens would win because Ivvy is fine, she never liked Eddie and has no emotional repercution from the fallout except that her gfs are having huuge problems over the consequences of their actions wich aren't they always? Specially Harls).

2022 Movie Ranking
Note: 2021 Movie Ranking. As usual, this list is HIGHLY SUBJECTIVE. Still want to catch Skinamarink, Barbarian, Wakanda Forever, The House, and Pinocchio.
Nope: Like Get Out and Us, this was incredibly disturbing but so good. Not sure if I ever want to watch Nope again because characters being eaten alive—eaten alive whole—terrifies me. Anyway, Peele's phenomenal at social commentary. Here, animal exploitation.
Wendell & Wild: So many elements I love! Settings are a funfair-themed afterlife and boarding school. Faustian deals! Diverse character designs. Anti-prison privatization, pro-rehabilation. So the edgy-on-purpose Kat is actually punk. Henry Selick and Jordan Peele plus Key are the dream team!
Turning Red: I am so, so thankful for Shi and co. It's a cute movie all around, but normalizing periods made me adore it. My family was and is always honest about puberty, but many others' aren't. (And no one told me about PCOS.) TR is groundbreaking.
Scream: "No one has made a great Stab movie since the first one." My fave self-aware slasher franchise. And this one tackles one of my biggest pet peeves: fandom entitlement. Also, Kyle Gallner playing a sleazebag for once. 💚
Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery
Men: Verdant folk horror about various flavors of misogyny. If I was still in school, I'd write a paper on it.
The Batman: THIS is how you do dark Batman. My favorite version of the Riddler since Batman Forever. (Sorry, Cory Michael Smith.) Riddler acts like he's helping the downtrodden, but the mentally ill are a marginalized group, too. Arthur Fleck knows that. I like how Joker and this are morally complex and the villains have in-film fanbases. Also, Edward ironically crushing on Batman, while despising Bruce. Aw.
The Munsters: The best Rob Zombie flick. I used to say he should stick to music. Now I think he should stick to music and PG-rated romanctic comedy. It's clear Zombie is an aficionado of Universal and other monster movies. It basically is exactly what it set out to be.
Halloween Ends: Anyone who says this "ruined" the franchise hasn't watched all the movies. Giving Michael a fanboy/protégée was a cool idea to explore. And interesting use of irony with the whole falling and dropping.
Smile: If you're into the predetermined death-curse genre, give it a watch.
Everything Everywhere All at Once
Bodies/Bodies/Bodies: Movie that makes fun of classist vapidity... Gen Z style. The characters are petty and self-absorbed. Their allyship is performative and it will give viewers secondhand embarrassment. On purpose.
Death on the Nile: An adaptation of the secondest Christie book I read. (First being The Pale Horse.) While it wasn't really my thing, I totally thought Misses Van Schuyler and Bowers were sapphic in the novel, so it was nice to see that confirmed here.
Weird: The Al Yankovic Story: Nothing against Weird Al. Just not my type of humor.

what makes the evan's melt
this is shitty but considering i haven't written fanfiction or anything in years im not too unhappy with it? i hope yall like it,,
-
tw: mentions of kyle's mom
Tate (pre-death): Tate tends to spend alot of time at your house especially when he needs to get away from Constance and he knows you'll welcome him with open arms. Your house feels much more like a home than his own. since hes over so often you keep stock of his favorite foods and drinks and you have tons of his clothes and records so he doesn't have to bring them over everytime he comes. If he needs to talk or even just sit in silence with someone you're always there and it means alot to him.
Kit: Kit's a family man so of course seeing you and the kids happy together is gonna make his heart melt. one morning, not long after you had gotten together, you were laying in bed, fingers grazing over kit's soft skin when you pulled yourself out of his grasp shushing him when he began to protest. when he finally pulled himself out of bed after you, he found you in the kitchen making breakfast with the kids. he couldn't help the dopey grin that spread across his face as he watched his own little family in the doorway.
Kyle (pre-death): sweet Kyle,,loves to act goofy with you. his frat brothers always groan when toto comes on because you'll both sing along horribly to it (especially if its a love song,,c'mon its cute!) like tate, he spends as much time away from his own house either staying at the frat house or your own (soon becoming your and kyles house after finding out his situation with his mother). in your more private moments, he'll always jump at the chance of being wrapped up in your arms and melts as you run your hands through his hair, feeling your body shake against his as you laugh at his jokes. he always feels safe with you.
Jimmy: sure he's a big flirt and is pretty experienced but romance isn't something jimmy is too used to. darling boy isn't typically the one to recieve all the attention and some of the romantic things you do never fail to make him flustered (even more so when you tease him about the scarlet blush covering his cheeks and even the tips of his ears.) when you grab his hands and press light kisses to them (anywhere to his palm, tips of his fingers ect,) he reminds you of a deer in headlights. and alot like kit, his family means alot to him so seeing you all treat each other as such always makes his heart swell.
James: (ty for @tatestripedsweater for the help with this one <3) James will always jump at the chance to slow dance with you, even if theres no reason to. he'll put one of his favorite records on and pull you close, basking in your warmth as you sway together. he also loves when you get up with him in the morning and help him get ready, tying his tie for him when he wears one (which you learned to do so just for this) and fixing his shirt collar before pulling him down, pressing a soft kiss to his lips. (sometimes the tie is discarded but its fine, he thinks it looks better on you anyways,,)
Rory: Rory is constantly talking you into running his lines with him. sure he can do it himself but thats no fun. its definitely one of his favorites things to do with you and you both get way too into it. 100% theatrical mode its all very dramatic (and 100% goofy, he goofs off just to see you break character and laugh.) you both end up curled up (more like cramped) in the loveseat together, limbs entangled despite the fact that theres a couch next to you. (he just wants to be close to you as possible okay?)
Edward: you're constantly bringing home gorgeous art pieces for him just to see his eyes light up at the sight of them (and though he doesn't say it you're always his favorite thing to look at and admire.) he also insists on nightly baths together where he can finally relax and not worry about a thing.
Kai: there's not really anything that makes kai 'melt'. one of the more intimate things you do with him though, is coloring his hair and washing it for him. you're always gentle as to not tug on it, fingers running through long locks and against his scalp (he won't admit it and you definitely won't bring it up if you notice but his eyes sometimes drift close at your soft touch. you can't help the smile that spreads across your face though.)
Gallant: Gallant is always a sucker for being spoiled (i mean- who isn't) whether it be gifts or physical affection. you try to surprise him with new jewelry often and you love how excited he gets and he's always loves to do your hair for you when you need him to. he won't hesitate to drape himself across your lap at any time and loves when you press yourself up against him or wrap your around him when he's near. if you stand up to his nana for him boy will probably fall (more) in love with you right then and there.
Peter: not many people really pay him any attention or give him validation but he never has to ask for it with you and it kind of catches him by surprise sometimes. he tends to doubt himself a lot too but you're always quick to reassure him. when he hasn't roped you into some prank or taken you halfway across the world, you spend alot of time listening to music together. he insists on using his cassette player and headphones no matter how difficult it may be so he can be pressed up close to you.

How the Evan’s react to giving you your first orgasm:
Kit would be in disbelief, his cheeks would be just as red as your own once you admitted to it but it would also turn him on to no end. To find out that he has been the only one to make you orgasm made his ego.. soar ever so slightly, you can bet he would go in for more as well
Kyle’s inner frat boy would come out once you told him, a wide grin spreading across the blonde boys face. Would be in some disbelief but he understood that sometimes it was hard for some to make yourself orgasm, but honestly he’d love the fact that he was the the person who gave you your first orgasm, it wouldn’t be your last either
Jimmy is.. well Jimmy. He is such a flirt but with you in private he is like a deer in headlights and somewhat clumsy, so when you told him he looked up in shock which ended up in his banging his head.. it was a moment neither of you would forget
As soon as James saw the way your legs were trembling he could tell, he didn’t even need to ask if you’ve ever orgasmed before due to how sensitive you were. “Get used to it darling, you’ll be having plenty more tonight” And there certainly was
Rory would be a tad cocky like Tate but non the less love the way you were shaking above him as he was between your legs, damn boy would ask to make a sex tape of you just orgasming.
Edward wouldn’t know how to react to what you just told him, eyes wide and his pale cheeks flushed once you admitted it. Would stumble and stutter over his words, Ed would most likely ask you to repeat yourself to make sure he even heard you right
Kai would fucking eat it all up (literally..), it would boost his ego to no end not that it needed boosting any more than it already was. Would taunt and tease you about not being able to make yourself cum, and demand that you told him who owned you.. boy is possessive
Gallant wouldn’t even believe you at first, you were a guy how could you not have cum before. But after explaining that you found it difficult to cum all by yourself and often found it hard to fully relax, he would be more understanding. Let’s just say Gallant would catch you up on all the missed orgasms you had
