Based on my opinions and observations. Not an expert. May change later.

Sun, Moon, and Mercury are in Virgo, giving him a Virgo stellium. He is detail oriented, helpful and reliable, and incredibly hard working, not a slacker at all. The downsides are that he's likely very critical on himself and others (but more likely on himself; Virgos are just...a little too self aware lol), perfectionistic, nitpicky, and can be an overthinker. E.g the time he was crying about a small mistake he made on stage that the other members hadn't seen at all. They all sit in the 8th house as well and form conjunctions to each other (sun conjunct moon and mercury, moon conjunct mercury)

Virgo Sun in 8th is very private and maybe even shy. Jungkook's not really an extrovert tbh, he has a small circle and is often seen hanging out with the same few friends. This placement is quite picky with who they choose to let into their life - they have to be extremely sure they can trust you to completely let you in their inner world.

Moon in 8th is an intense placement. Very strong feelings here. Having a Virgo moon though should help calm the intensity a little or at least help him navigate his feelings in a more structured way. Virgo moons tends to analyze and rationalize their thoughts and feelings. This could explain why Jungkook's never been the type to openly show his deeper feelings. This house can be transactional and Virgo is a sign of service, so he may find security in helping/servicing others. And people like to reciprocate the helpful energy for him too.

Mercury in 8th is a deeply curious and investigative placement. Virgo mercury is especially detailed - nothing gets past Jungkook. It's known he lurked around in fandom space on tiktok and twitter, so he most likely knows all the jokes and other things the fans talk about. This placement wants to understand things deeply.

Neptune, Uranus, and Jupiter are in 1st house. Neptune (illusions) and Uranus (unpredictable and constant change) can make a person chameleon-like in terms of appearance and Jungkook is versatile in fashion. It could explain why it was a bit confusing to guess his rising sign.

Jupiter in 1st - puts in a lot of effort into everything he does, may sometimes overdo things. Tries to be optimistic and upbeat, wants to enjoy life to the fullest.

Libra Venus is domicile and in 9th. Curious and knowledge seeking, especially curious about new cultures and places

Mars Scorpio in the 10th is very passionate and ambitious. Very determined to succeed in his career and reach all the goals he sets for himself. His motto "I would rather die than live without passion" is a perfect example of this placement.

Saturn in 3rd - some sort of challenge with communication. This placement can be very shy and maybe even a bit self conscious, socially anxious. Jungkook was incredibly shy when he was younger - iirc he would even cry when asked to sing and used to be so shy around the members predebut in general.

Pluto in 11th - a strange tense relationship with the idea of friendship. He didn't have much close friends when he was young and going to a whole new city made him even lonelier. However meeting BTS gave him friendship, which helped his loneliness a lot. They even helped him get over his shyness and support him with anything he does. He cares very deeply about them, even crying when they were talking about the struggles they were going through. He considers them his family, which makes sense since he was basically raised by them. He himself is quite influential as well (a given as he's a huge celebrity though) and can pretty much make anything he likes and anywhere goes become very popular.

Chiron in 10th - worried about how his image and reputation is perceived by others. Considering how incredibly shy Jungkook was when he was younger, it's not surprising he may have had a lot of self doubt about his journey to being an idol (along with the very self critical Virgo stellium. Chiron in 10th + Virgo stellium is careful and perfectionistic in order to have a good image). There may be issues of self esteem and power (mainly with authority and/or with himself) within his life.

With North Node in 8th though, it pushes Jungkook to be more open to create relations with others. He doesn't have to do everything alone - he should learn to rely on others and be comfortable being more open, both mentally and emotionally.

Capricorn rising is a little surprising ngl...However, I think it explains his physical features well. His eyes (I've noticed many Cap placements have big eyes), his face structure, and especially his hair. Capricorn rising hair is always very noticeable considering Capricorns rule hair. And like most earth risings, he can be down to earth and reserved - he keeps to himself a lot. Definitely very hard working like a Capricorn, ambitious and strives for success.

His Libra MC could be why many people thought he was a Libra rising. It is at 29°, a Leo degree, so that could also explain why people thought he could have been a Leo rising too. Libra mc is artsy and creative, which shows in his art skills in drawing, photography, and editing. Obviously his singing and dancing as well. It's apparent in his fashion too: experimenting with his hair styles, his sleeve tattoo, his piercings, and darker yet neat clothing style.

Hey I know you’ve probably said or before. But what’re some of the playable Supernatural folk in ANIM.

Firstly, just to be clear, A.N.I.M. is the design team, while Eureka: Investigative Urban Fantasy is the TTRPG currently in its final week of crowdfunding (ends 2:00 PM CST on Friday May 10th)

As for the supernatural folk, even though most PCs in Eureka end up being mundane, there’s quite a lot of options for supernatural characters, which we have talked about before, but we never miss a chance to talk about them again!

This will be a brief overview that will barely even scratch the surface of the depth and nuance we’ve written in to most of these abilities. If you’re interested in learning more, why don’t you just download the fully playable, free prerelease version of the Eureka: Investigative Urban Fantasy rulebook available on our website and our itch.io page, and go to Chapter 8!

There are ten of what we call “Mage traits.” A “mage” in Eureka is something you could think of as kind of like an X-man. They are otherwise normal people except for one single inexplicable power. Some of these include pyrokinesis, telekinesis, lightning powers, supernatural speed, supernatural beauty, and even the option to play a “psychic detective” who can receive clairvoyant revelations based on clues.

These powers tend to come with few if any downsides, besides the fact that the character can only have at-most one of them. There is also a slight investigation point penalty.

Then, there’s the playable monsters, of which there are five, each of which is fleshed out to the point that they are entirely unique gameplay experiences.

First up is the vampire.

Playing a vampire is a unique challenge because of their rather large list of weaknesses they must contend with in everyday life. The sun, while not instantly lethal like in Hollywood vampire movies, does strip them of all their powers, and they must contend with a compulsion to count large numbers of small objects, an unwillingness to enter private residences uninvited, difficulty crossing bodies of running water, an aversion to garlic, and more! They must of course also drink human blood to keep their Composure up, as they do not gain Composure from eating or sleeping.

These weaknesses are more than made up for by incredible stealth, combat, and mobility options. They can move nearly silently, travel through shadows as if by teleportation, are superhumanly strong, nearly unkillable, can walk effortlessly on sheer surfaces and ceilings, and can “remanifest” into a variety of forms, such as the classic bat, a wolf, an enormous monstrous bat form, and even mist! There’s also a religious angle with them but that is too complicated to get into with just a brief overview.

Next up, the wolfman.

The wolfman is like a Hollywood werewolf. They can transform from a mundane human to an anthropomorphic wolf(however you choose to interpret that) or a very large regular wolf. In either wolf form, they can only be permanently killed by decapitation or by silver weaponry.

My favorite thing about them is the fact that they transform involuntarily on the night of the full moon, or when they hit 0 Composure. In this state, they will rampage uncontrollably, attempting to devour just about anything that moves for a period of time. The fact that it can come out at the worst of times is so awesome it makes me super excited to hear about in future sessions.

Then there is the witch.

The witch is actually a regular human and has no supernatural weaknesses except for the fact that their powerful witchcraft takes more of a toll on their body than the supernatural powers of other playable monsters.

The first thing a witch can do is place a variety of terrible curses on people, a few examples of which include turning them to stone, putting them in a supernatural slumber, or turning them into animals.

The other thing witches can do is cycle throughout all the different Mage traits. They can only have one at a time, but if a Mage trait exists in the rulebook, they can have that trait when they need it, which basically represents their ability to cast a wide variety of different spells in addition to those curses.

My actual favorite thing about the witch though is their ability to enchant certain objects to make them fly, which is not limited to just broomsticks, although broomsticks are of course a classic.

Then there is the fairy.

The fairy was a tough one to translate into Eureka because of the sheer number of different things attributed to fairies in historical folklore. We had to come up with a sort of “generic fairy” that gets the gist of fairies across while leaving room for a player to get way more specific if they are so inclined.

The fairy shares the witch’s ability to place curses on people and cast a variety of different spells, but also can take pieces of people’s identity, such as their names, and/or spirit them away to the fairy world, from which they may never return.

This is offset by the fact that they cannot lie, as well as a few other folkloric fairy weaknesses.

Finally, one of the fan favorites, the thing from beyond.

The thing from beyond is kinda like if you wanted to play as something inspired by The Blob and The Thing.

Imagine a color-changing “blanket” of flesh and teeth that can fold itself up into the shape of a human, change colors to mimic the right colors including clothing, and mimic human speech. It wants to be your friend, and eat you, which, to it are not mutually exclusive.

The thing from beyond can do anything a thin blanket of flesh could do when unfolded, such as squeeze under doors or camouflage themselves against surfaces, and also fold themselves up to mimic just about anything, including specific humans. They tend to have a default human persona, but can get very specific with their mimicry if they want, which gets easier the more of that specific person they have ingested. A small sample of blood or hair could give a bonus, but eating the entire person makes mimicking them effortless.

Eating a person also allows them to absorb bits of their memories, which means they can get to know bits of what their meal knows, which is represented in mechanics by them getting bonus investigation points for the duration that they are digesting their latest victim. If the victim knew anything about the current case they are investigating, that means even more investigation points.

I decided to put everyone into one post and to talk about some assosications I have with the characters and their cards

The Fool (Folly, mania, extravagance, intoxication, delirium, frenzy, bewrayment. [If the card is] Reversed: Negligence, absence, distribution, carelessness, apathy, nullity, vanity.) Of course it is Han Juwon in the begining if the story. "In many esoteric systems of tarot card interpretation, the Fool is interpreted as the protagonist of a story, and the Major Arcana are the path the Fool takes through the great mysteries of life." He is a Fool afterall: careless in his investigation, doesn't think about the people around him. He thinks he is the smartest guy in the room and the bestest boy in the area.

The Lovers. Here I decided to interpret it in the most literal way. But the card itself provides quite a nice explanation too. "6. THE LOVERS.—Attraction, love, beauty, trials overcome. Reversed: Failure, foolish designs. Another account speaks of marriage frustrated and contrarieties of all kinds." I really love the ending. The whole reunion thing is straight out of the romance story. That's why I chose this image to represent this card. The moment of piece at last.

The Hermit. When I first thought about this collage idea I was absolutly sure who should represent this card. "9. THE HERMIT. Prudence, circumspection; also and especially treason, dissimulation, roguery, corruption. Reversed: Concealment, disguise, policy fear, unreasoned caution."

The High Priestess. Oh Jihwa my beloved. There were several posts about her recently. She is a wonderful character. "Secrets, mystery, the future as yet unrevealed; the woman who interests the Querent, if male; the Querent herself, if female; silence, tenacity; mystery, wisdom, science. Reversed: Passion, moral or physical ardor, conceit, surface knowledge." Tell me this is not about her, I'll wait.

The Sun. The Moon. The Star. I thought it would be really symbolic to choose three young (and dead) characters to represent this cards. (of course, LDS is alive and old now but I think we can considr his younger self to be buried somewhere really deep in his mind. He wasn't the same person he'd been before his sister disappearance). Another thoought that I had in mind while making these three pieces was that scene from the first episode. The dialogue with Mother and her friend. "You are so lucky to have your daughter. Such a pity the God decided to balance it with your son." How almost everyone thought that Lee Yuyeon was a blessing and her brother - just a delinquent.

19.THE SUN.—Material happiness, fortunate marriage, contentment. Reversed: The same in a lesser sense.

18.THE MOON--Hidden enemies, danger, calumny, darkness, terror, deception, occult forces, error. Reversed: Instability, inconstancy, silence, lesser degrees of deception and error.

17.THE STAR.--Hope and bright prospects, Reversed: Loss, theft, privation, abandonment; another reading says: arrogance, haughtiness, impotence.

Kang Minjeong is a little star flickered out too soon.

The Magician. "Tarot experts have defined the Magician in association with the Fool". "While the upright Magician represents potential and tapping into one's talents, the reversed Magician's potential and talents are unfocused and unmanifested."

The Strength. One of my favourite cards and my favourite brave girl. I need to come clean I am not a fan of a lor of women portrayals in asian culture. But Yoo Jaeyi just stole my heart. She is kind, she is angry, she is loving, she is grieving. She is real. She is her own person. I love this image of her. "8. FORTITUDE.—Power, energy, action, courage, magnanimity; also complete success and honours. Reversed: Despotism, abuse of power, weakness, discord, sometimes even disgrace."

The Devil. Do I even need to explain myself? Well probably yes. Another candidate for this card was you guessed it - Han Kihwan. But after some thinking I finally decided on this one. "15. THE DEVIL.—Ravage, violence, vehemence, extraordinary efforts, force, fatality; that which is predestined but is not for this reason evil. Reversed: Evil fatality, weakness, pettiness, blindness." While Juwon's father is the evil person and the real villain of the story I do consider Kang Jinmuk the Devil.

✦ Beck is the second eldest of the coven's generation, right after his cousin Silas. Despite his quiet nature, Beckett often acts as the voice of reason among his cousins and when it comes to coven related issues. He’s patient, a good listener, and tries to see both sides of a situation.

✦ He is a psychic medium, a gift he was born with. Beck didn’t understand his ability at first, and was often frightened by the macabre & morbid looking ghosts that would appear to him. Suggested to him that he should try and communicate with them rather than fear them—as they seem to be seeking him out for a reason—Beck eventually learned to accept and use his gift to help spirits finish their business and move on. Though, sometimes they still scare him.

✦ Like the rest of his family, Beckett practices shadow magic, and excels in spirit work & necromancy. He often incorporates bones, blood and graveyard dirt into his rituals. He also uses spirit boards—whether a ouija board or his own variant to boost his connection to a spirit.

One my biggest challenges in life is communication, according to my astrology placements. According to sidereal astrology, I have:

Ahh, where do I start? ☺️

[ note: i observed this before i began learning astrology a few years ago as well ]

My placements show that i:

- approach conversation in a probing, investigative way with raw intensity, aiming to be transformative

- tend to be fiercely competitive in discussions and debates, questing for authenticity and to challenge societal norms

- communicate in a way that reveals deep-seated wounds and vulnerabilities, yet is also carefully considerate of how my words affect others (trying to balance analytical mind with emotional depth)

- am not afraid to dive into taboo or deep subjects

- have a flair for dramatic storytelling (AHAHAAhaaa…)

- am influenced by a need to understand and communicate the deeper and often hidden aspects of life

Most of the time I prefer solitude, so I can get myself together internally. I definitely don’t mind socializing but I get drained easily, especially depending on the vulnerability level I feel comfortable with.

I was diagnosed with speech impediment when I was a child and had to take speech classes in elementary school, as a lovely note. I still deal with, whether it’s speaking too fast or mixing up words in speech or writing [ which I just did, but I catch myself. I wrote “steal” instead of “still” ].

Well, not gonna lie, many times I don’t say exactly how I feel because of the tendencies for tone to be focused on more than words. I have Venus and Rahu in Cancer in the 11th house so I often feel a sucker to social conformity, but I’ve been learnin.

I truly think that no matter how considerate I try to be with my words [ as in verbally stating I comprehend reasons why someone could come to a conclusion about my behavior along with asking further questions to understand ] I just come off too mofo intimidating and it’s frustrating as FOCK.

This post was triggered by a conversation I just had, which turned into an aggressive tone on the other person’s end because I shared my opinion and I told that I respect their choice to disagree but I stand firmly on my perspective…which I told them they didn’t have to agree with either. And they blocked me.

And I also had an disagreement with an previous friend and I want to reconnect or at least seek closure, but it didn’t turn out well because they felt like I was deflecting even tho I just had repeatedly stated my disagreement, along with admitting my slights. I asked them to explain why and how they felt like I was deflecting, and that they wouldn’t take accountability in the situation…and they got very upset, so we officially ended things.

I am well aware that I’m not always right. I just persist unless I have to emotionally or intellectually relent, cuz I’m actually wrong or I don’t have the balls or understanding to confront the truth.

Most advice tells me to be more considerate but sweetie, most of my life I’ve dogged myself for not meeting the expectations of others, even though many times I still don’t care enough to put the effort into doing so. When I say dogged, I mean depressed and anxious asf most of my life, lamenting in my bed as I complain internally [ victimizing prick 😂 ] while the ego I mask [ all fire placements, especially Sun & Leo, in the water and private houses ] are boiling in my digestive system [ Virgo Rising and Aquarius 6H, which rules the mind and nervous system and MY ANXIOUS FOCKIN ASS ].

I see advice to challenge this intensity into physical activity, creative outlets, journaling, and learning occult practices [ like astrology 😁 ], which is good.

The thing is, this stuff affects my professional and social life. Not badly, cuz I am very considerate and mindful, but when I get too frustrated because I feel misunderstood or treated unfairly, it doesn’t go well power struggle wise. According to career related placements, I’m suited for behind-the-scenes tasks [ Gemini 10H with ruler in 12H ] along with channeling emotions and transformational energy into creative outlets [ I’m an artist and I love to write and read ].

My 10H ruler is in detriment in the 4H and 7H, which means I can struggle with balancing career and domestic dynamics, or communicating effectively within my family. Also indicates lack of support or understanding from family regarding career. And 7H can indicate issues with professional partnerships or collaborations. I’m gradually learning how to integrate all the different factors, because I know aspects and delineations play a big role in emphasis of energies, which I’m just now getting into. Since Mercury is exalted in my 1H, my career success and public reputation are boosted when I have a healthy relationship with my self-identity.

This will be a very dumb question, but your scarecrow au boys. Instead of an adult, how might they feel or act if confronted with a child (lower that 10)?

If you are talking about confronting them 20 years after the farm has been left to ruin, then it would probably not be good. To be clear, the farm is located on the outskirts of any major city, so it's not easy for children (or anyone, for that matter) to come across it. You would literally have to know it's there and go out of your way to find it (the entrance gate is overgrown with untamed and mangled bushes). Plus, it's private property, so... no trespassing!

However, the main character (y/n) does read an old news article they found when searching for the deed of the farm in their mom's apartment. The article was about some teenagers whose parents reported them missing the following morning. The investigators had traced the location of the car the teenagers borrowed to the old farm. Apparently, they had gotten out of the car, cut away at the bushes, and drove down the old road to the farmhouse. But that's where things get weird, the police found several traces of the rulebreakers running all over the place, even making their way to the overgrown fields, but then it's as if they disappeared. As if they just simply vanished. One of the parents informed the police that their youngest son of 7 years old had gone missing as well, suspecting that he had left with his older brother.

Now, I can't say too much about what exactly happened, but I suspect... a child that young would invoke a certain bittersweet nostalgia in Sun and Moon... and they are not sure why (their memory is a bit glitchy), but I dont think they would willingly let him go...

At least, not at this stage in the story. As for the teenagers, the rules say No Trespassing.
