Here is one of the coolest things I've found stuck in a library book recently! It's a bookmark from the Library of Congress that's in print and also incorporates a message in braille. It's advertising the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled.

This is your reminder to go email your local library head/director to give them a list of Solarpunk books, and ask to see if they’re able to get them in large print and Braille. And! If you have an absolutely favorite book and your library doesn’t have it, either in the mass produced print, large print, or in Braille, you should email the library head/director to see if they will be able to get it in! Accessibility is important, and reading is fun! Share the joy!

#pan draws#pan designs#zine#zines#this one was very fun even though it killed me a bit <- guy who had too much shit to do#the cover (spread 1) and album covers are linocut. the album/band names + reviews are 3d-printed plates#the whole thing was ran through a letterpress machine in 2 passes—first pass was the black ink and second pass was the pink ink#there r two variants! the one here is on gray ingres paper but theres another version on white masa paper that also has blind deboss#theres like. 22 total in this edition. maybe i'll open shop for these guys. it was fun#i enjoy carving blackletter typefaces looking forward to doing more o7#xines

#fox's tongue and kirin's bone#main font is 18 aka the recommendation from various blind and low vision associations#I was NOT able to totally follow recommendations because A) none of the published books at the library did and B) it made the book too larg#to physically print. so followed industry standards instead.#trim size is 7x10" to avoid having the second book be two volumes#trying to keep the Disabled Tax to a minimum here

What form did Croissant's Dream Guardian take prior to, well, all that stuff that happens?
Their dream guardian was an unfamiliar drow. He wasn't based on anyone Croissant knew, so Croissant was always a bit wary of who he was and what his intentions might be.

I <3 tote bags. What would I be without them
#i have so many they're perfect for anything honestly#bummer at my first two concerts i forgot to bring one so i had to either wear the merch over my clothes and squeeze cds into my small bag#or bought a bag from the merch stand like i did with shiraz lane because i brought enough money but forgot a bag to put the merch in lmao#from now on it's kind of a thing for me to buy tote bags whenever a band sells them. to represent 2 bands when i'm already wearing a shirt#i only have the shiraz lane bag and one from the royal beggars so far 💔 bands sell tote bags challenge#technically blind channel had them but i didn't like the design plus i don't listen to them anymore and mostly went there for lost society#the royal beggars one was because i bought so much at that festival and one bag wasn't enough and i was too broke for a shirt at that point#so i bought the €10 cheaper tote bag with their most recent ep cover instead. i got the shirt as a gift from them later on ❤❤❤#mel talks#AND i have a bunch of tote bags with art prints ❤❤❤
