I want to take a minute to address the above because it's not entirely accurate.
I'm selling someone else's art. True, this deck was designed by Pamela Coleman-Smith in 1909. But not only is this art in the public domain (meaning it's legal for me to re-sell it, it's not plagirism) but it has been modified. Many many big companies do this, all the time. A simple Google search will show Van Gogh's prints for example on t-shirts, mugs, as prints themselves - you name it. I chose to sell this as a colour in as the Rider Waite Smith tarot cards are the standard and almost all modern tarot decks are based on it and I wanted to learn more about the symbolism they use.
Creating it didn't take any effort. False, I didn't use a filter to create these files, the filter of free sites that they use above does work on some of the cards, but not on all. If you try to use it on some it shows grey in some areas which makes colouring it difficult. You can see for yourself using the black and white filters Picsart or Photopea, the Justice card in particular isn't great. This is why I didn't do it, I will post an example of this later to show the point.
Ultimately I made this product for sale because at the time because it was something I wanted for myself and couldn't find. There's a tarot colouring in book you can buy but I wanted to be able to print out specific cards and more than once so it didn't really fit my needs. I sell no other things on my Etsy shop in the whole time i've had it (over a year) because i'm not trying to rip off people and make money, I just found an unmet need and decided to fill it. If you take issue with this i suggest hassling big companies who make ridiculous amounts of money selling public domain art (or worse, companies that rip off small artists). I'm just a regular person who is interested in tarot and trying to get by, like the rest of us.
Tumblr media
I just created an Etsy shop! My first listing is a full set of printable tarot colouring in pages!

Cool Shit I've Made (masterpost)
If you want to support me, or if you just want to see what I'm up to, check out the stuff under the cut!
My Currently Active Sideblogs
@organical-mechanical: This is actually my main blog! Go here for all of my unrelated art, EVEN MORE off-topic posts, and the occasional reblog or link to other people's art, generally under the theme of bodily imagry, machinery and software, and/or the combination of the two. Naturally, there's a heavy content warning for blood and gore.
@mind-of-moth: My ask blog/webcomic/light novel? about an inexplicably human doctor in a My Little Pony-esque world grappling with various concepts related to death
My YouTube Channel
As you can see, my YouTube channel is tied to @organical-mechanical and not @hazard-symbols-that-fuck-hard, so you can expect the content to revolve more around innards and CRT monitors rather than the NFPA. In any case, this is where I store-- what else-- my video art
My Itch.io Projects
Hazard Tarot Cards:
A printable card deck for only seven smackaroos, featuring all of your favorite hazard symbols!
Hazard Poker Cards:
Similar to the tarot cards, but for poker!
Mad Science Interactive:
A mock virtual science lab where you grow your own transgenic beast using real-world techniques! The game is 100% free and playable in-browser, with bonus content should you choose to donate $10 or more! (it's basically a three-minute glorified slide show)

TarotWeaver, a Tarot TTRPG
Take your fate into your own hands.
Back TarotWeaver on Kickstarter.
A year ago I had the pleasure of running into two incredible artists at Sonoma State University while taking a drawing class. At the time I was mulling over the idea of a tarot based roleplaying game, but knew that to do the project justice I would want to create a tarot deck for the game. I knew writing the game would already be a mountain of work, lo and behold Arie and Sara had reimagined the major arcana for their final project.
It felt like fate had put us in each other’s path at that moment.
Tumblr media
Over the following year we collaborated to create a unique game taking inspiration from Over the Garden Wall, Adventure Time, Cairn, Into the Odd, Whitehack, Everway, and the OSR. While Arie and Sara worked tirelessly to create 78 amazing images in their reimagining of the Rider-Waite deck, I set out to create a lightweight and fun game.
I had two design sensibilities going into the project. The game could only use tarot cards for all of its mechanics. Something that turned out far easier said than done. The second was the entirety of the rules and an introductory adventure had to fit into 48 3.5”x5.5” pages. With some napkin math that meant only 720 square inches of space to write. For comparison, Mausritter has roughly 960 square inches of printable space at 24 5.5”x8.5”.
It’s difficult to pin down how excited I am for this project to come to life and hope to share it all with you soon.
Cheers and happy holidays.

Jude's World is now LIVE on Kickstarter. But should you back it? Read on to find out more.
Jude's World is a solo journaling game about a precocious preteen trying to get their parents back together. It's a coming of age story and an exploration of different kinds of love. It's bittersweet and comedic in tone, with a healthy dose of 90s nostalgia for those who partake. The game has taken a year to develop, including extensive play testing. You can find out more about all that from my development diary posts on this very website. Including the inspirations and ethos behind the game, if that's of interest to you.
To play you need a tarot deck, a journal, and 2d6. I've also produced a bespoke workbook to help you keep track of the people you meet and the keepsakes you find throughout the game. A physical copy of this comes with one of the reward tiers, but you get a printable pdf version with the digital tier as well.
It's a simple play loop, easy to generate story and super fun to create your own version of Jude and walk around in their head.
More details, including a short video of me talking through the game, can be found on the campaign page here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/buttonkin/judes-world

Spent some of my afternoon/evening printing off @copperbadge 's Found Fortune oracle deck (yes my printer sucks). This is just standard cardstock, which is far from an optimal choice from a shufflability standpoint but it's what I had on hand. Considering going out tomorrow to get one of those corner punch thingies to round the edges. And maybe some sort of thin sticky-back paper for the backs to stiffen them up a bit (but then I'd have to trim them all AGAIN, so... idk)
I do not have particularly strong feelings towards tarot/oracle decks as a future-telling device, but I thought it could be a handy tool for storytelling and perhaps songwriting. My hugely unofficial january personal challenge is to write some sort of music-y thing every day (either new or a good effort working on something incomplete), so I decided to shuffle and pull a little spread for inspiration tonight, using whatever imagery pops up as a starting point for a song, as in where it's coming from / what's the problem / where's it going.
Tumblr media
Here we have The Champion (All material things. Value; the counting of winnings), Delay (Thwarting. Indecision, weakness of character), and Light (Joy. Good fortune, delight).
I certainly could have gone more literal (a champion delayed in the quest for light) but it ended up a bit more abstractly themed around taking the physical distractions and the internal overwhelm, considering what sort of people those things turn us into, and then coming together to find/ensure there is still light in the world. Musically speaking it still needs tweaking and as usual I'll fiddle with the initial lyrics (possibly add another verse), but the chorus bit I particularly like is don't let the light escape from the sunset unseen.
Anyway, thanks for putting the deck up as a printable, Sam!

Greetings Dragon Booster fans! I am organising a Dragon Booster Fan Tarot Deck project, and applications for contributors are now open!
Applications close 17th November 2023!
APPLY HERE
More info in the above form or below the cut! Reblogs appreciated!
What is it?
This is a not-for-profit fan project, to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Dragon Booster plus make some cool merch together! Currently, the goals for this project are:
Create a physical tarot deck/card game*: 35 cards, consisting of 22 x Major Arcana featuring any canon characters and optional OCs and 13 x "Draconium Arcana" where we cover all 13 Draconium colour crew leaders/side characters and dragons. The deck should also include a mini booklet introducing artists/instructions to play + board (if relevant) shipped to every contributor.
Create a digital printable deck: Free for the general public to download, print at home, play and enjoy
*Depending on whether we figure out a card game for this project.
-----------
Each artist will be responsible for:
Making 2-3 card designs. Each artist can draw 1 or 2 Major Arcana, featuring any canon characters and OCs of their choice. Each artist will also need to select 1 Draconium Arcana and feature minimum 1 canon crew leader and 1 dragon.
Finalisation of card assignments will be through a tally system and discussion on Discord to prevent too many character overlaps.
-----------
Timeline (Summary)
Tumblr media
----------
NOTE: As this is a not-for-profit project, contributors may have to pay for the printing and shipping of their own deck of cards. Please indicate in this form your budget/ability to pay for yourself. (This will not affect your participation!)
As with any other indie project organised online, merch-related projects carry some risks with the fulfillment of physical orders, especially in the case of relying on regional reps to reduce shipping fees. Very likely, the base of operations will be in Australia and products will be shipping from here, with reps in US/Canada etc. to sort orders there. For now, we are unlikely to be opening sales to non-contributors, unless discussed further through chat and if their orders contribute significantly to paying for costs to contributors.
----------
Who is the mod/organiser?
Hellooooo I'm Wyrdle or Ann, and I'll be the primary organiser/designer (and likely logistics person alongside calamari-san) for this project. I was the mod for the digital DB zine and fundraiser zines Stories for a Cause (Vol 1 and 2), and am active in making my own zines and merch. I'm based in Melbourne, Australia, and have been a big Dragon Booster fan for a long time! You can always reach out to me via socials or email at [email protected].

Hi!
First of all, I really appreciate your work here! I love discovering new games and i have added some to my list based on your recommendations
Right now I'm looking for a solo ttrpg that is meant to be played in extremely short daily sessions. I want to play a little round each morning as if it were a daily wordle or newspaper crossword puzzle. Just a quick dopamine hit without having to commit multiple hours.
I know that with solo games, it is easy to do things at my own pace anyway. But are there any solo games that incorporate short, daily sessions as a feature?
THEME: Short, Daily, Solo Games.

Myrtle Manor, by aiyujellies.
On the edge of the cliffside lies a crumbling manor swathed in blankets of shadow. A cloaked figure darts out of its entrance, a gaping maw, and disappears into the forest, their footprints featherlight and fading in the snow...
Myrtle Manor is a solo journaling role-playing game. It requires a tarot deck, two coins, and a medium to record the story. For every entry, you will draw a tarot deck and consult the oracle for guidance on what kind of person you meet. Each day you will meet a new person.
You’ll want to keep in mind why you’re visiting the manor and what secret your character is trying to find (as well as what secret they are trying to keep). Each entry comes with a section called Mind Your Presence, in which you determine what each meeting means to your character. There doesn’t seem to be a definitive end to this game - I’m assuming you can play for as many days as there are tarot cards in the deck, but you could also tie things up sooner if you find the story reaching a natural conclusion, or whenever you get bored. Definitely worth checking out!
Your True Name, by Pearse Anderson.
Your True Name is a spell-generation storytelling game to play with some choice five-letter words. It is a one-page Lost & Found hack of Wordle, the online spelling sensation, designed to be one-player and played in fifteen minutes or less!
In Your True Name, you become a magic word being Spoken by generations of spellcasters, each of them trying to use your magic and get closer to Your True Name (today’s Wordle answer). The game changes each day with the Wordle and with each player’s guesses, making the replayability endless and a perfect way to generate fun spells for your other campaigns and games. You, as the magic word you inhabit, can travel between the lips of waterfall watchers, bandit-kings, aeronauts, illusionists, and Mage College adjuncts, changing and growing in both power and potential volatility.
This gives you a way to game-ify another morning activity, that activity being Wordle. I was inspired to recommend this game when you mentioned a daily Wordle, because I knew I had seen this game somewhere. You could stay within the same world / character as you play, or hop between characters or bouts of inspiration.
The Bonsai Diary, by Sticky Doodler.
It's 2023, and you plant a small tree seedling, imagining its future. Bonsai trees can live hundreds of years. Who will inherit this living being? What will that person think of you in 2178? Will they think of you at all?
This is a beautifully contemplative game, in which you embody various generations that are all responsible for caring for a bonsai tree (and possibly more). Throughout the game you will find small pieces of facts about trees and notable tree-related history. The game itself is a printable booklet that you will draw in, answering questions about 6 generations and how they came across the bonsai. If you want to continue past generation 6, the booklet contains instructions for longer play.
You Beyond the Pale, by S. Kaiya J.
You don't belong in the mortal world. You live alone, and you have always lived alone. You have yourself, and you have your own territory. The mortals have their own realms, and the mortals have each other. So what happens when the mortal world starts coming to you?
You, Beyond the Pale is a solo journaling RPG based on the Aspire SRD. Take up the role of a unique monster, adrift and alone, bewildered by a world full of mortals. Observe them. Learn about them. Scare them, or leave gifts for them. Make a friend. And brace for when your friend tells the rest of the mortal world about you.
S. Kaiya J writes extremely poetic and thoughtful games, and this one is no exception. Using a deck of cards, you will chronicle the story of a monster who makes a new, mortal friend. The author encourages you to select a prompt in the morning, think about the possibilities throughout the day, and return to the game at night, before you go to bed. If you want a game that draws a story out over a month, this might be the game for you.
Loved in Triangles, by James Shannon.
Loved In Triangles is a solo GM-lessTTRPG about romance, relationships and choices. Through playing you'll explore 6 months in the life of someone deciding whether to stay in their current comfortable relationship or to risk it all on the possibility of something new. The game requires a standard deck of playing cards.
If you want to play a game that deals with a topic that has some weight to it, you might want to check out this game. You will draw cards and your character will have to make a decision about what they want in life when it comes to romance. You can base these characters off of different versions of yourself, inspired by fictional characters, or something else altogether.
You are Autumn, by Turtlebun.
You Are Autumn is a game for one person. It takes only a few moments to play.
This is possibly one of the shortest solo games I’ve seen on Itch. It’s more of a writing or journaling exercise than it is a storytelling game; each day you write about the things you cherish and how they leave you to be replaced with something else. I feel like you could either stick rigidly to the premise of this game, or you could expand on it, create new rules, or use it as part of another journaling game.
Games I've Recommended in the Past
Global Dragon Egg Conservation, by KuumatheBronze.
Also...
You might also want to check out the Lunch Break RPG Bundle, which are meant to be short and quick to play. Not all of them will be solo, but a good number will be! (Limited time only)

Tangled Blessings: My magic academy horror roleplaying/journaling game is out now! All you need is a deck of tarot cards to play, but you can find printable tarot card PDFs for free or you can use this nifty dice roller alternative with a standard deck of cards.
Tangled Blessings is a 1-2 player, GM-less, and tarot-driven horror game set at a magical college. With ghosts, curses, secret societies, and a rival at your back, will you graduate at the top?
It has two play modes and neither require a game master!
Structured Journaling
Even if you’ve never played a journaling game before, Tangled Blessings makes it easy to dive in, walking you through the simple character creation process step by step. As you play, you’ll draw cards from your tarot deck and respond to prompts that guide you through 4 years at the academy. You can record your responses in whichever way pleases you most.
Two-Player
When you play with another person, you’ll take turns exploring what the Academy holds for you, adding to each other’s memories as you go. Just like in solo play, you’ll use a single tarot deck to uncover events where your characters cross paths.
Tumblr media
I handcrafted each page of the PDF to make it as readable and atmospheric as possible, BUT I also created EPUB and HTML formats for those who prefer to play the game that way.
Tumblr media
My favorite part about the game is that there are 22 rivals you can be randomly assigned. Each rival has a robust paragraph with traits to give you ideas about how you and rival interact.
In Tangled Blessings, your rival can be your best friend, a family member, a stranger, an enemy, a romantic interest or a combination of relations. Your rival is present in most of your memories at the academy. How your relationship evolves with them is up to you, but at the end of four years, you’ll still stand against each other in one final test of academic and magical mastery.
Tumblr media
If you ever romanticized the university or boarding school experience, add a dash of terrible magic and this game is for you.
I hope you check it out! I'm so proud of it!

we miss you & your posts 🖤 hope you are doing well
oh hey there anon, i've missed you too.
Tumblr media
Seriously, I didn't realise how much I've missed this community until I started looking at all the new CC and content I've missed in the 2 years I've been gone. And I left in a really sucky way, I didn't say much to anyone, and I'm sorry about that, I know that can make people worry!! I'm okay, still disabled (haven't been able to shake off the 'permanent' part of that diagnosis... yet, lol), a fair bit worse over the past 2 years. Lots of falls, a week in hospital last year with a kidney infection, and i'm pretty housebound lately. I'll be moving into specialised housing pretty soon, it's in the works. Other than that I had a small online business on etsy for a while, making printables and graphics, studied astrology, added to my tarot deck collection, played a bunch of other video games, quit smoking after 20+ years and got hopelessly bored, tired and fragile. So, what am I doing back here? Me and my good frendo craftyalpaca were talking about pre-covid good times and this convo just turned into the sims and I couldn't help myself, I just had to download it again and start playing. Will I start making CC again? Maybe, I don't know. I always have an urge to create something... if the planets line themselves up right, it's definitely possible..
