I don’t often share personal rituals or photos of altars, but this moment feels timely. Tonight I call on Eirene, goddess of peace.
“How far peace outweighs war in benefits to man; Eirene, the chief friend and cherisher of the Muses); Eirene, the enemy of revenge, lover of families and children, patroness of wealth. Yet these blessings we viciously neglect, embrace wars; man with man, city with city fights, the strong enslaves the weak.”
I chose my mother’s Rose of Sharon flowers as offering, because though she loved beauty and desired peace, she never could find either. My incense is gathered from 5 regions of Greece, foraged and stolen by me last fall. The candle is white, the only color I never make because I usually work from the other end of the spectrum, so a cheap ikea candle dressed in herbs of Hekate pulls the weight for grieving mothers and lost souls. Peace be with you.

SOUND CLEANSING
Tumblr media
HOW IT WORKS
Sharp, sudden sounds—often metallic ones—vibrate on a frequency beyond what our ears can detect, compelling the objects and atmosphere to resonate in harmony and neutralize the energy in a space.
METHODS
you don’t need to splurge on expensive instruments to cleanse your home. You can use pretty much anything that makes a noise, even if it’s just your hands.
A bell
a sound bowl
coins in a bag
drums
tapping on a table
flicking an empty wine glass
If you just have your hands, you can clap
look at what you have. Try experimenting with different household items and see which type of sound resonates the most with you
Tumblr media
STEPS
Head to the room or place object you want to ~cleanse~ close to the sound source (and open the windows so the negative vibes can clear out).
Then make your noise! Start in the center of the room, then move to each corner. It’s important to listen to the tone of the sounds you create. The duller the noise, the denser and more clogged up that area is.
You may need to make the sound several times before you notice the tone becoming higher, clearer, and cleaner.
EFFECTS
Over time, as you use sound tools more often, you’ll develop a feel for the kind of sound that chases out the negative energy. But most importantly, when you next enter the room, you’ll notice a lighter and purer quality to the air. Or to the object
This is really just a simple breakdown of sound cleaning! If you’d like to add anything please do!! 🥰 I am currently shadow banned right now so if you have any questions please feel free to send them via asks while I get the situation sorted! 💕 MERRY MEET! ~B ✨

Consumerism in Witchcraft
I've been waiting to get a chance to make this post as I feel it's extremely important for any "witch" to hear, no matter how far along in your spiritual journey you are.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: You do not need all of these special tools to practice witchcraft.
Sure, a lot of these tools are helpful and fun, but you don't need to feel pressure to get a certain tarot deck or to spend ridiculous amounts of money on crystals that the media says you need for x y z.
The market of witchcraft is completely saturated with elitism, and I've seen too many starter-witches/baby-witches fall into this void of feeling like they aren't good enough because they don't have the resources.
There is magic in every little moment in life. You just need to find it. Nature, tea, cooking, makeup, writing, crafting, bathing, local wonders - All of these are places where you can express your spirituality and practice your craft.
Overall, I think it's important to understand that witchcraft has absolutely no rules.

Yule/winter solstice is coming up in the southern hemisphere and I always find it a challenge to celebrate with traditional decorations in June because it would seem weird to have a Christmas tree up at this time, however I use it as an opportunity to have more subtle natural decorations in my home. simple witchy things i do everyday 𖹭
𖹭 i whisper spells and positive affirmations into every glass of water and every cup of tea or coffee i have
𖹭 i draw different sigils (for protection, love, attraction, abundance and confidence) with my skincare and make up products when i put them on my face and body
𖹭 i wear enchanted jewelry
𖹭 i talk to my plants, i thank them for blessing my eyes and filling my apartment with their lovely energy and i kindly ask them to continue growing beautifully for me
𖹭 i listen to music that speaks to my soul and makes my inner child happy
𖹭 i do daily beauty rituals and i thank Aphrodite for blessing me with beauty and love
𖹭 i go on nature walks and i admire all the little things, even the smallest flowers or bugs that sit on them
𖹭 i bless every meal i prepare for myself or my loved ones
𖹭 i can't smudge or burn incense at my place so whenever i want to cleanse my apartment i just open the windows and i ask the wind to take all the negative energy away and fill my home with love and happiness

Let's clarify some common misconceptions and provide insights into what is true or false for beginners in witchcraft:
1. Witchcraft is a religion: False. Witchcraft is not inherently a religion. It is a practice, a craft, or a set of skills used by individuals. Many practitioners of witchcraft may follow different spiritual or religious paths, including Wicca, Paganism, or even atheism.
2. Witchcraft requires you to worship a specific deity: False. While some forms of witchcraft, such as Wicca, involve the worship of deities, many witches do not adhere to any specific religious beliefs. Witchcraft can be entirely secular, and practitioners can choose to work with or without deities.
3. You need an initiation or a coven to become a witch: False. There is no formal initiation or requirement to become a witch. Some practitioners may choose to join covens for guidance and community, but many practice as solitary witches, learning and crafting on their own.
4. Spells are like magic in books and movies: False. Real witchcraft does not resemble the magic portrayed in fiction. Spells are not instantaneous, and they do not involve flashy special effects. Witchcraft is a practice grounded in how the spells impact you and your mental being as a person.
5. All witches perform rituals and ceremonies: False. Not all witches engage in elaborate rituals or ceremonies. Witchcraft is flexible, and some practitioners may prefer simple acts of intention or everyday magical practices.
6. Witchcraft is dangerous and can cause harm: False. Witchcraft is not inherently harmful. It depends on the intention and ethics of the practitioner. Many witches adhere to the "harm none" principle and use their craft for healing, personal growth, and positive change.
7. You need expensive tools and materials to practice witchcraft: False. Witchcraft can be as simple or as elaborate as you choose. You don't need expensive tools; many everyday items can be used in your practice. It's more about your intention and focus than the cost of your materials.
8. Witchcraft is all about casting spells: False. While spellcasting can be a part of witchcraft, it's not the only aspect.
9. A witch's power is inherited or genetic: False. Witchcraft is a learned practice, and anyone can become a witch through study, practice, and dedication. It's not linked to one's family or genetics.
10. All witches have psychic abilities: False. Psychic abilities, such as clairvoyance or mediumship, are not inherent to all witches. Some may develop new skills, while others may focus solely on other aspects of witchcraft.
It's important for beginners to approach witchcraft with an open mind, to study, practice, and develop their craft in a way that resonates with their beliefs and values. Witchcraft is highly personal, and each practitioner can shape it into a unique and meaningful practice.
