“so...” they hadn’t spoken in a long while, and in that long while, so much had happened. there were plenty of things she could ask: why did you punch beau at that wedding?; are you okay?; were you hurt too badly in argentina?; how are things with arabella? with margot? instead, she settled for: “how have you been?” it was easier, less loaded; a good way to ease into things.
