"Average MCYT has 3 robot children" factoid actually just statistical error. Robots Grian, who has as many robotic children as there are universes and 1 robotic clone, is an outlier adn should not have been counted.

I stopped watching Ninjago after Skybound back in 2016 and then when the designs changed after the LEGO Ninjago Movie, I just never got back into it because I thought it was ‘different’.
Recently decided to get back into the show and boy, was I wrong. For a kids show, Ninjago has emotionally destroyed me in so many ways. Somehow this show gets even better as the seasons go on which is rare for most shows. Idk if it grew with its audience or what but I’ve been loving every second of it.

prime empire au where the superstar rockin jay that the ninja meet acts like jay, thinks like jay, but fundamentally isn’t jay. ssrj is an npc, a decoy built by unigami to stop the ninja from searching for the real jay (who’s being used as a glorified battery) within the game.
of course, to make ssrj the perfect clone, even he doesn’t realise he’s an npc. he thinks he’s the real jay, and his ‘powers’ are fragments of the real jay’s lightning. even’s though ssrj’s memories of his life outside the game feel like they’re photographs, with himself behind the camera, not in the moment - all his memories are like that, so isn’t that what memories are supposed to feel like?
ssrj is the ideal jay - a little bit too much like jay, perfect in the sense that he’s what the ninja (and everyone else) assume what jay is like. ssrj is jay without his deepest insecurities and darkest experiences, and therefore he’s jay without everything that makes him jay.
eventually, the ninja beat the game, and ‘defeat’ unigami - if unigami can make a digital clone of jay, faking his own destruction is laughably easy, especially when he’s got the element of lightning strengthening him. and yes, i said destruction - ssrj never had those doubts about his past, so why would he share them with unigami?
ssrj and the other ninja continue their lives, blissfully unaware whilst the real jay is left to rot inside prime empire as unigami regains his strength.
and if nya notices something slightly different about her yang, something slightly off about his smile or the delay when he’s reminiscing - well, she still died in prime empire, and the last time that happened jay changed. and if this change seems to be for the better, why should she complain?

i wonder...if they went with the scrapped concept of Prime Empire where Jay's mom had something to do with the game...
it would have been really cool if, in the scene where they meet the chef, the waitress calls him "Jay Gordon" instead of "Walker"
AGHH I DONT KNOW IM JUST REALLY MAD THEY SCRAPPED THAT CONCEPT
And my friend and I were talking about what could have happened when Jay meets his mom...
And, well...you guys know how Nya treated her mom right? She was angry at her, treating her badly, etc. I feel like Jay wouldn't quite be the opposite but...he wouldnt even acknowledge her existence. She's a stranger to him. His real parents are Ed and Edna. I mean, the fact Jay hasn't said anything about his birth parents other than the scene in PE. He hasn't even sought out his birth father, who (supposedly) hasn't died yet because Jay hasn't gotten the letter? The boy does not care. Or if he does, it's just a grudge.
So I think it would have been interesting if it showed her trying to be all "oh jay honey" and trying to be a mother and he just ignores her. Acts as if shes a stranger. Pushes her away. Says "dont call me that." when she calls him her sweet boy. The potential. ESPECIALLY if she had something to do with the game.
So back to my earlier point. What if , throughout the entire game, all the NPCs and everything called him Jay Gordon.
I want to see him blow his top at one of them.
"Thats not my name!"
Thank you for your time

for that ninjago ask meme if ur doing it here's some emojis for Delete cause I love her design 🧠 ⚡ ☝️
🧠 How did you first come up with this character? Any interesting details about creating them?
I was listening to Creepshow by Nightclub and thinking about robots (as per usual) and Delete started to take shape. I also thought it would be fun if there was a character that so obviously seemed like The Villain In Disguise that turned out to be totally innocent and voilà- a nindroid who sings about really dark topics but turns out to be a nonviolent, misunderstood person. She went through the most redesigns of any of my ocs- from grey metal and white clothes to see through blue plastic and yellow, pink, and blue clothes and so so many accessories.
⚡ What have they been up to after the merge?
(Scurries out of the room because I still haven't seen DR) um I think no matter what she'd still just be performing in some way shape or form. In any way she can!
☝️ If they could only exist in one season of the show, which season would they be in?
OOOOOF THAT'S HARD. season 12, maybe? She could be one of the NPCs of prime empire? It's hard to imagine her integrating into a preexisting plot line tbqh!
Thank you so much for the ask!!

No actually yknow what im still on my Prime Empire avatar!Rumi bullshit. That whole season was about the NPCs learning to defy their programming and develop free will, but avatar harumi never got that chance. I mean i understand the role Harumi's NPC avatar played in the narrative - existing to mess with Lloyd's head, deprive Jay of another ally and drive tension/stakes, and provide a narrative setup to introduce the concept of Lloyd's guilt over her death so it becomes that much more impactful when she returns in Crystalized. But idk i think its a hugely missed opportunity not to give her that same opportunity.
Like. She doesnt really know Lloyd or remember him, but she was programmed to hate him. Her entire existence is defined by that pain and loathing. Shes not really a person, but the reflection of how she exists in Lloyd's mind. But if she could get the chance to let go and learn how to define herself in a different way? To be free of the pain that created her?
That in itself could create a neat parallel to Lloyd's own struggles with his oni form in Crystalized - she was born of anger, and Lloyd's oni powers are defined by anger. They already brought back Blazey in s15, so why not avatar Rumi too (avarumi? We'll workshop it). AND it could set up appropriate foreshadowing to the OG Harumi's redemption arc.
Hmmm. Au where avatar Harumi gets a redemption arc, and then when the real Harumi shows up they beat the shit out of each other. And Lloyd, naturally, has a bad time about it.

prime empire thoughts yes please
1- the world of prime empire overall. what are your ideas about it?
I personally they should've played with the ideas of invisible walls or show us how far the game actually expended. idk maybe that's just me but like the world of prime empire in its whole looks overlooked jgsjgl like there's so much you can do.
I also wanted so bad someone from the outside to interfere with the coding or something as well idk WHY DID WE GET SO LITTLE WITH A SEASON AROUND VIDEO GAMES
2- what are you thoughts about scott? (also does he play a big role in cabinet man? (since you also requested asks about cabinet man))
Cuz I think he is greatly underrated in prime empire (but yknow maybe that's just me)
3- jay's skin. I want all your thoughts about jay's skin. Superstar Rockin Jay should've lasted for much longer or at least become a gag in the future (or yknow the fact that there was a cult created out of it)
anyway yeah I like this season a normal amount. Toootally fine with how they handled it.
Can't wait to read your thoughts about it all ( ouo)
GJHJSHFJKGHJKFDSGH HOOOOO BOY
Ideas about the world of Prime Empire as a whole
OHOHO I HAVE SOOOO MANY MY FRIEND
first of all, most if not all the NPCs have some degree of sentience. That's an idea that I think should've been driven more home by the show itself but Blazey and Okino are not the only characters in the game that have free will and the ability to think for themselves. I believe this so wholeheartedly.
Prime Empire was split into different areas that I wish were explored more (honestly a lot of this season boils down to "I wish it were explored more"): Terra Technica, Terra Karana, and Terra Domina. Terra Technica obviously is the biggest area, with the entry point for players entering the game, the Speedway Five-Billion, Scott's Garage and Jay's Club, and at least one other area for the Dance Competition mini-game. I also think this would be where most of the shops run by NPCs in the game would be.
I think most NPCs reside in this area. To really hammer home the fact that they are PEOPLE, not just assets in the game, I think they have homes within the city. Y'know how in Pokemon games (except ScarVi rip) you can just walk into people's houses and there's NPCs inside? Yea it's like that. Except the NPCs leave the houses and explore as well because they have their own thoughts and lives.
Maybe it's just cuz I've been playing Tears of the Kingdom non-stop and it's taken over my brain but I think about the open-worldness of Prime Empire in a similar manner. You can pretty much go anywhere and do anything within the world of Prime Empire. You can scale buildings (if you have the skills unlocked for it) and find secrets everywhere. And most things respawn at certain intervals so players have the chance to pick them up. Kind of like a MMOPRG sorta vibe
BUT there is a sort of thing like you mentioned above - invisible points that you just can't pass. Like the place is enclosed by some giant wall you can't see, and doesn't let you pass through. If you TRIED you would just be running in place basically, never actually getting anywhere. You can see things beyond where stuck at, but they're just for show - there's nothing actually there to interact with, it just gives the guise of depth.
Basically Prime Empire is meant to feel endless, expansive, big, real, until the reality crashes in that it definitely isn't. And sure most people wouldn't care and would have fun playing anyways, but for those who aren't interested after this illusion is broken for them, discover that hey. How do you get out of here again?
Oh right.
They can't.
And that's when people start kinda freaking out. Which I imagine then Jay or the League of Jays step in to try and calm them down and get them to relax and have fun anyways while Jay waits for the rest of the ninja to arrive.
2. Thoughts about Scott and his role in the Cabinet Man AU!
OHHH MAN I LOVE SCOTT DUDE YOU'RE RIGHT HE'S SO UNDERRATED i think he's a super fascinating character to consider in Prime Empire. Given that Unagami clearly had a plan to cube a bunch of players for his portal, he definitely would've come after Scott first. When did Scott figure this out? Did Scott and Unagami interact in-person before this? How was Scott able to evade Unagami long enough to set up his garage's stealth barrier? He's so so so interesting to me
He's clearly a kind person who wants to help people to some degree (sneaking Jay into the garage with him in the shorts, letting Jay run his club from his garage, inevitably sacrificing himself so the ninja can get away, etc.) but he's also very wary and unwilling to risk himself in a lot of ways. He and Jay clearly come to care about each other to some degree in canon, given Jay seems fairly protective of him
Tumblr media
and Scott trusts Jay enough to let him into his personal and secret place
LIKE I DON'T THINK THAT GETS TALKED ABOUT ENOUGH. NOT ONLY DID SCOTT AGREE TO HELP JAY HIDE OUT FROM UNAGAMI BUT HE LET HIM RUN AN ENTIRE CLUB OUT OF A SECRET TUNNEL CONNECTED TO HIS GARAGE
there was no reason for Scott to have done either of these things. Was it desperation because Jay's the first person Scott's seen in 30 years? Maybe. But clearly they care about each other to some degree
as for in the cabinet man AU! Jay considers Scott an older brother type figure. He, Scott, and Unagami actually got along well when Scott first got sucked into the game (the game is a lot newer than it is in the actual show given that Jay was 8 when he entered and there is no way he was in there for 30 years lmao, Jay would've been around 16 when Scott entered the game, Scott being 18 or 19, and Jay was around 21-22 when the ninja enter the picture). Unagami was excited to prove himself and give Scott a fun game experience, after all. But y'know, once Milton Dyer realized what happened.... things soured.
Jay and Scott were pretty much on the run together from then on. They care a lot about each other and Jay's extra devastated when Scott gets cubed. Once Jay and Scott leave the game, Scott takes time to rediscover life and reunite with family, but the two stay in close contact and see each other on a weekly basis for a while. Scott's still one of the first people Jay will reach out to if he needs help or advice with something not-ninja related
3. SUPERSTAR ROCKIN' JAY AAAAAAA
okay okay okay okay so obviously you and i met through skybound content so just in case you don't know yet
Tumblr media
i'm. a little. unhinged. about superstar rockin' jay
i have so many thoughts about jay's avatar ranging from "this is my Gender and i want to look like a fucking lego" to "WHY DIDN'T NINJAGO LET HIM KEEP ASPECTS OF THIS" to just white noise in my brain and in the center of that white noise is me rotating his minifigure in my mind
HE'S SO COOL!!! HE'S SO COOL AND I LOVE HIM AND HIS DESIGN IS INCREDIBLE LIKE OKAY okay okay okay okay blue and yellow are contrasting colors that mesh REALLY well together and I think the glamrock persona with stars and triangles and shit looks super incredible and it's just a really nice and appealing design and I think that Jay would have like a v-tuber avatar of SSR Jay after the game cuz like LOOK AT HIM. THIS IS PEAK HEGHHAGJFHKGJKJHKJFHGKJFG god im so normal
this is why people call me the ceo of superstar rockin' jay. that design is every aesthetic of mine mashed into one. i'm so obsessed with this design it consumes my core being.
Tumblr media
at the end of the day i too. am superstar rockin' jay
i lost track of the point of this question uhhhhhhhh OH YEA I WISH THEY'D LIKE. BRING IT UP MORE OFTEN LIKE JAY WAS AN IN-GAME IDOL!! HE WAS A PERFORMER!! DID HE HAVE FANS??? IS THERE SUPERSTAR ROCKIN' JAY MERCH???????? he should exist outside of prime empire screams
anyways this was a lot of words i love prime empire i love prime empire so much it's so good and more people need to talk about it please please lpease

I love ninjago for so many reasons but the way personhood is never a doubt does something to me
It’s never even a question if artificial life forms count as people. Even way back in season one when Zane found out he was a robot, it threw him for an existential loop but all his friends were like “oh wow, huh… kinda explains some things, you’re still you though.” There’s the internal tension of questioning one’s own identity and self-worth, but his loved ones love him nonetheless. New information doesn’t change anything — he’s always been a nindroid, just as he’s always been Zane.
In season three when we meet Pixal the gang is concerned at Zane’s willingness to give up half his power source for her, not because they don’t think she’s a person but because he hasn’t known her that long. There’s the short lived question of her allegiance, but Zane confidently argues that she has free will just the same as him when not under the overlord’s control. The whole situation reads more like being surprised at how serious this new relationship is than questioning or invalidating Pixal’s autonomy.
And then, of course, we have Prime Empire. When Okino — an NPC — is told that the world they’re currently in isn’t real he is quick to denial, but as soon as the truth becomes inarguable he falls into a depressive episode. His whole life is fake, everything he sees is fake, he is fake. Even as Okino vehemently argues that he should be left behind, that his presence as part of the game puts them in danger, that their enemy — the creator of said game — could use him against his new friends, the ninja refuse. They firmly tell him “No, you’re our friend. You’re a good person and we trust you, trust yourself too” and it just freaking breaks me for some reason.

Unsure if you recently reblogged your old Stardust post, but I do have some questions, apologies if you’ve heard these before. (And it’s fine if you don’t want to answer some)
Can Jay create things? Such as NPCs or other similar things or is he just stuck with nothing at all to do.
You said re-entry was impossible so does that include booting up the game in its passive form (such as the way it’s shown in following seasons) and if so does he have the ability to make contact with the outside that way?
Does he ever calm down? As in not being violent or driven to destroy? And if not then how does he manage it? Does he manage it at all??
And for my final question, how’s Cole doing? I am not sure how to elaborate because this question is so general, but I guess I mean how is he coping with the whole experience and loosing best friend (/crush, if I’m remembering correctly)?
My final note, Would You Like To Enter Stardust is among my favorite fan works and you’re super good at building tension and at least in my case, moving the reader. So thank you for creating it!
AHH!!! KAJSJSBANKABA I've actually been waiting to answer these questions for so long!!!!! So yes, I was reposting some of my stardust stuff, and I'm so glad you asked so-
1. Yes, Jay can and does create things he can actually bring back corrupt forms of anything he Infected and destroyed so sometimes when he gets this strange feeling he'll bring back the forms of people like Seven or Scott and just... Stare for a while. I think he'd eventually try to do something more, "make" friends because he's got nothing else to do now that he's trapped in the void which is maddeningly boring
2. Yes! Surprising Prime Empire still gets remade such as in canon as a normally functioning videogame (much to Cole's dismay) with a few mods and altered versions based on the "myth" of what happened to the old one of course ;) Jay technically can't interact with anyone within the rules I set for the fic but I like to imagine an au where some poor kid finds the remains of the motherboard and reawakens something so the kid is the new lightning master. But Jay can possess him and control him
3. He calms down more once Cole and everyone else is gone, no more memories clouding up his mind. He's still very violent and unstable in nature just because of how the corruption and insanity has altered him but with nothing more to do he doesn't have anything to direct that violence towards so he's much more reserved.
4. Cole is doing terrible :D! He lost his right leg below his knee and he's blind in his left eye and after the events of stardust he basically pulls a rebooted Kai and leaves the team. The team stays together unlike what canon does, only Cole leaves. He heads off the grid and away from Ninjago because looking at screens and games just makes him feel sick.
Overall thank you so much for asking because again I have been dying to answer these exact questions! And I'm SOOOOO glad you liked the story!
