I want to know more about the difference between Mortarion's fae and Lion's fae. Are Mort's the "dark" fae and Lion's the "light" ones? Or is the difference more like one kind of fae will interact with humans but might screw them over vs Lion's who aren't as bad for people but are less likely to interact with them?
Typhon should be a nuckelavee. I know they're not technically fae, but c'mon, they're perfect! (And they share an etymology with the Latin word "necare...")
Rhaaaaa the URGE to write a deep fantasy au!!! Where every primarch is a faction/race and the monarch of their faction!!!
Here is the primarch list pls take it and write it I don't need more WIP
Primarch, in a Fantasy AU
Mortarion: Fairy. But im the slightly mean, might steal your bones and eat your eyeballs way. Very close to nature and secretive, hard to see and talk too. Soft moth wings that can produce a dust that either heal or poison you.
Vulkan: Dragonborn from the montains! Very noble and adventurous, quite likely to go around and visit his friends. Less of a king and more of a "designated leader because he's so nice (and big)". Imvulnerable to fire damage.
Fulgrim: here me out- Drow. A beautiful dark elf, who helped save his world from starvation and ruin, and is slowly pushing to open up his kingdom to trades and diplomacy.
Ferrus: Orc! They qoek by a clan syathem, byt are actually skilled engineer, as rhey are nomadic and try to get all the info/knowledge they can before moving on. Some of the obly marksmen of the setting. Surprisingly friendly, they know they are strong and that messing with them would be UNBELEIVABLY stupid.
Magnus: spirit/energy being. King of Prospero, a desert city where everyone kinda became lowkey immortal, in a metapgysical way. People have shed their flesh body a long time ago and now mostly either wander the city around as spirits, kr by possesing objects like armours. Genies legend were based on them due to magical power, but no, they are NOT forced the grant wishes.
Leman: I mean. Wolfperson. He literally keep changing into a wolf half the time. Nomadic in nature, him and his people are the best hunters of the land, and often employed as mercenary.
Horus: Human. Just... regular ass human. Normal as hell. King of them, and very good at making alliance, very stable and prosperous Kingdom. Also very cosmopolitan, with all the races and factions bwing welcomed to walk through.
Sanguinius: I mean........... Vampire. In the noble, aristocratic way. He has a very impressive and spooky castle that people get invited too for fancy bit vaguely spooky dinner. Very polite, doesn't hide his nature here, but is constantly trying to maintain a tight control on his vampires subordinate.
Lion: He is TOTALLY a Normal Human of a Normal Human Kingdom. Not a Changeling from the magical forest at all. What's that? Watchers? Totally normal people too, not at all gnomes and kobolt and korrigan who also consider him their king...
Roboute: Prince of a human kingdom... But he's actually an adopted half elf!! Constantly at war in his soul between the two part of his being. His kingdom is the largest human kingdom, but constantly has to deal with difficult political intrigue and threat of invasion.
Lorgar: Naga. His tattoo are actually gold scales glittering all across his body in an hypnotic patern. His people are semi nomadic, they have multiple rock city across the desert that they migrate between every 10 to 20 years.
Jaghatai: ....... Centaur. Like. I just couldn't. Nomadic step people, smart, amazing archer, they often also run huge trade carravan between the various kingdom and are, honnestly, filthy rich. Having a centaur offer you to ride on his back to a non-centaur person is basically a marriage proposal.
Rogal: Dwarf! But from nordic, snowy montains. Very good craftsman and engineer, very used to nordic winter with 3 months long night. Best friend with Roboute, travel in giant steam ship.
Angron: Elves! But he was captured as a child and almost turned into... Something else. However, he led a rebellion, and went back to his kingdom. They are very warry of outsiders, and his kingdom is composed of a notable portion of those "changed elves". Yes, I mean Uruk-Hai
Konrad: Vampire but in like. The creepy way. They are kimda more goulish, cannibalistic, who live in creepy osolated town and scare away travelers. Terrible assassins hired by other kingdoms In reality, while him and his people ARE some kind of creepy blood sucker, they just want to live their isolayed life.
Corvus: the BIRDY people. Probably a race that get a variety of avian features, some have bird heads, some wings, some feets, some are fully antro... Corvus can fully shift between giant murder raven and human.
Alpharius and Omegon: Shapeshifter. Less of a tribe/kingdom than a secret society of shapeshifter who infiltrated more or less succesfully all the other kingdoms. They have a good time of it.
Perturabo: Minotaur of a distant montainous kingdom. His Kingdom is actually a mix between minotaur and humans, living in a tense mixed society. He rule with his sister/totally not wife Calliphone, who is a human. Yes, he is gigantic at her side. Yes, she is smug about it.

Warhammer AU
I hope everyone has been enjoying reading the AU so far. Sunday the 26th we've got Corvus and the twins
I might take a detour to work on that idea about the Call of Duty demons.
I'll probably then go through and see which Primarch needs more information; maybe write a drabble or two; then work on the kids
I'll happily take name suggestions though for kids and wives
Like maybe Gloria for both Lion's and Konrad's wife names I mean would be funny having two women from vastly different areas and backgrounds to be named the same. And of course a suggestion if Cato should be a half elf or not

Pinned post v.0.1
Learning to Love (working title) is a gay fantasy novel that I've got like 50k words of notes about and maybe 5k words of actual text for (it's all random scenes from like the middle of the story and I can't fucking post them anywhere but I need to talk about this thing)
Setting: post-apocalyptic. Before the catastrophe it was a high magic society, about as technologically advanced as we are right now, except with magic instead of technology.
Characters: mostly magical academia people (several magical colleges/research institutes stayed fairly intact as social structures throughout the catastrophe). Basically, if you're someone from academia who also likes fantasy and mlm romance, these guys should be up your alley.
Story hook: newly Ph.D. guy comes back home, finds his professor dad a grumpy asshole (moreso than before) who mistreats his live-in maid/Ph.D. student. The student finishes his Ph.D., professor dad seemingly kicks him out, student is bummed, professor's son offers to go on some adventures together with him.
Creation notes (&reasoning behind some tags on this post) and tag list (to be updated) under read more
Learning to Love originally started out as a global AU fanfic for Alfabusa's If the Emperor had a text to speech device video series, itself a fix-it fanfic for Warhammer 40.000. But, as I worked out more and more of the details, I realized that calling it a fanfic is sorta dishonest.
The point of the Warhammer characters I was playing with, their essense, is war. War is their life, their purpose, the source of their tragedies... I didn't want to write about that. And if you keep that out of your wh40k fanfic, is it really a wh40k fanfic? Especially if it's a global AU, set in a world that bears no resemblance to wh40k or any of its versions? Personally, I don't think so.
Thus, Learning to Love is not a fanfic anymore. I changed most of the "inherited" characters to be barely recognizable, kicked out some primarchs from my story, remade others entirely (or maybe rather made up new characters in their place? hard to tell sometimes), put a couple OCs with no wh40k precursors in. But the main pairing started out as Magnus x Captain General Little Kitten (as anyone from that fandom can probably already tell), and their dynamic is still a version of that. (A very optimistic version.)
This is why this post is tagged with If the Emperor had a text to speech device and the several Mittens pairing tags. Don't worry, I'll only tag posts where I talk about Learning to Love's fanfic origins with that, which I can't imagine there's gonna be a lot of.
This change brought a problem: there were suddenly a lot of unnamed characters on the cast, because previously I'd just keep the wh40k names of their prototypes, and now I had to come up with all new names. The main duo is still unnamed as of now. (I might just leave the professor's son's name as Magnus... He's not even one-eyed anymore, I don't think this qualifies as copyright infringement)

Title: Poisoned Honey
Chapter 12/20: Belial: The Road to the Village
Rating: E
Fandom: Granblue Fantasy
Pairings: Belial/Djeeta, Belial/Lucifer, Djeeta/Lucifer, minor pairings (see fic link for more tags)
Tags: Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence, AU - Sleeping Beauty Trilogy Fusion, Mild BDSM, Daddy Kink (see tags in link for more)
Summary: Belial begins his journey as a temporary Tribute, but you can't keep the Primarch of Cunning down.
Preview:
"After a lazy wave, Belial took off at a run, clawed his way up the stone ramparts and then jumped down onto the soft grass wet with morning dew on the other side. The cart from the Royal Village wouldn’t be arriving for another hour or so. Nothing for it: he’d need to walk.
Not that he minded, of course. It had been some time since he last traveled his kingdom by foot, and who knew who he might meet on the way?
With that silver lining in mind, he strutted down the soft-textured, winding road, keeping his eyes peeled."
#fanfic#granblue fantasy#belial x djeeta#belidjeeta#belial x lucifer#belial gbf#lucifer gbf#Why yes that *is* a “GW but make it sexy” concept XD#Not yet though. There's training and angsting to be done first!

8 aand 11?
8) What project(s) are you currently working on? Kind of a lot. Obviously Made of Glass and What could have been, because those I my two big fics at the moment. Also Neverborn, a primarchs-historical-urban-fantasy-au with demons and stuff. (A lot of the idea are from @lepetitmonstre) And two Atla-one-shots, one about the Siege of Ba Sing Se (Living Dead) and one about Ursa and Azula (A short note on maternal love). I theoretically also have a prose-poem-harry-potter-thing that‘s just missing the last few paragraphs (it‘s called Always and Forever.) And like half a dozen more, I‘m currently not hyperfocusing on
11) Do you have specific playlists for writing fics? Nope, not really. I just listen to whatever song I‘m currently listen on repeat

Condolences on the food poisoning! Any other fun primarch AUs kicking around in your brain?
Thank u, thank u
And hmmm, nothing quite as fleshed out as what’s already been discussed, but “how would this primarch change if they’d ended up on this world instead” is always a fun little thought exercise! I’m admittedly fond of putting them on Caliban, because while I know next to nothing about it in canon except what I’ve read on the wiki page, I sure do love me some early medieval aesthetics. Granted, I usually end up just fuming about how I can find no information on whether the fortresses on Caliban were set up in such a way as to facilitate growing crops or raising livestock so where does their food and leather and textiles come from huh GW?? Where???
But it’s still a fun little diversion nonetheless!
I like to think if Fulgrim had ended up on Caliban, he would have been the opposite of those bad YA fantasy Girl Power protags; he doesn’t WANT to learn to fight, he wants to sew and paint and help make sure the household is being run smoothly!

Sandalphon and the 4 Relics
GBF Fanfiction
Modern Fantasy AU; i took the Relics from RWBY but this isn’t set in the RWBY universe, don’t worry about it
Characters: Sandalphon, Djeeta, Johann, Catherine (with an alias)
Summary: After months of searching, Sandalphon had finally tracked the four Relics to a wealthy art collector by the name of Cohen. With that, he was one step closer to resurrecting Lucifer and making up for his past mistakes. Now, it was just a matter of taking it.
On the surface, the security to the mansion was nothing special. There was the front gate and he could see two guards at the door. Bypassing that would be simple enough and Sandalphon was confident in his ability to handle things if it turned into a fight.
What was a little daunting was the sheer size of the house. He had no idea where the Relics were being kept and there was so much space to cover. As soon as it got dark, he should waste no time breaking in and starting the search.
“That’s not going to work, you know.”
Sandalphon whirled around, hand going to his sword. But instead of an enemy, it was… “You!“
The Singularity was standing a few feet away with that familiar grin she always had when she was teasing him.
Scowling, he said, “You don’t even know what my plan is.“
“Is it to sneak in tonight to search for the Relics, use Ain Soph Eur to smash through the additional wards, and then make a break for it?”
“A-additional wards?”
“Uh, yeah? These are one-of-a-kind artifacts and the guy can shell out the money for some high-quality ones.” Putting one hand on her hip, she asked, “You don’t even know where in the house the Relics are, huh?”
“How…?“
“Because I know you? And your usual tactic is to blast through things with as much power as you need to. But lucky for you, we have a plan, so you can just join us!”
“Me? Work with you?”
“Why not? It went well last time. Also, we’ve put weeks of work into this and I really need you to not mess up our plans.” She put out her hand. “So what do you say?”
Sandalphon narrowed his eyes, considering. It would be wiser to join forces with people who actually had made preparations. And he was still in enough debt that getting in her way without cause would be unthinkable. “What is your aim? Why are you after the Relics?”
Dropping her hand, the Singularity’s mood palpably darkened. “I need the Crown of Choice. And I’m going to do whatever it takes to get it.”
If that was her goal, then there was no reason for conflict. “Very well, I will assist you with your plan.”
Smiling once again, she grabbed his hand and firmly shook it. “Great! Looking forward to our partnership or whatever. I’ll introduce you to the others.”
In a car whose ownership the Singularity was suspiciously evasive about, the two of them picked up dinner from some takeout place and then drove to a small tan house in a residential area.
“I found our bodyguard!” the Singularity announced after she closed the front door.
The inside of the house was far messier than the outside had suggested. The couch, which had been pulled out into a bed, was unmade. Clothes were haphazardly thrown on a desk. The kitchen table was strewn with debris and what looked like a half-made mock sword. The Singularity cleared a space on the table and directed him to put the bag of takeout down, while she rummaged around one of the drawers. He could see that the sink was full and the counter also cluttered with trash. As he slowly unpacked the food, a woman with pink hair and a man with gray hair entered. Noticeably not with them were the girl in blue or the dragon.
“This is our bodyguard?” the woman asked, looking him up and down.
“Yep. Don’t worry, he’s tougher than he looks,” the Singularity said, coming back with spoons. “Hey, whose turn is it to do dishes?”
“Sorry, I’ll do them sometime tonight,” the man said, grabbing a paper plate and beginning to pile on food.
“By the way, which Relic do you want?” the Singularity asked. “You know what I want and Johann here called dibs on the Lamp of Knowledge.”
“If he’s also seeking knowledge, I don’t mind sharing,” the one that was apparently Johann said. “Or collaborating if our research overlaps. Nice to meet you, by the way. I’m the primary magic-user for this mission.”
“…right,” Sandalphon said. “I’m after the Staff of Creation.”
“Okay,” the woman said, sitting down with her own plate. “I’m Victoria, the planner and the one taking the lead. So who are you and what can you do?”
For a moment, Sandalphon weighs the benefits of lying. As the instigator of an apocalypse, surely they would reject his inclusion on this mission. But he also hadn’t prepared anything and being caught would reflect even more poorly.
“He helped out our crew when someone’s mad science experiment almost killed us,” the Singularity said, jumping to sit on the counter.
“That isn’t–“
“He also complimented my hands the second time we met.”
“That isn’t what happened!” Sandalphon snapped, feeling his face heat up as he spun around to face her.
The Singularity cackled. “Well how else would you describe it?”
Deciding that expending time or energy on that argument would be a waste, Sandalphon turned his back on her to face the others. If they kicked him out, so be it; in fact, he might even prefer that at the moment. “My name is Sandalphon–”
“Really?” Johann looked to the Singularity for confirmation. Whatever she did seemed to excite him and he said, “That means you have first-hand knowledge about–“
“Business first, Johann,” Victoria said and Johann scowled. “What fighting style do you have and what abilities?”
Suddenly feeling the weight of scrutiny again, Sandalphon summoned his metaphysical swords. “I can use these at the same time as my physical sword, meaning I can perform multiple attacks in a short span of time. It also makes counterattacks relatively simple.”
“He’s also more resilient than he should be,” the Singularity added. “He took a giant attack from Avatar to the face and I thought he died right there. And, I mean, he wasn’t fine, but he was very much not dead.”
Sandalphon remembered that, flying to meet an attack that seemed like a crimson sun. For a brief moment, it was as though he was being crushed, bones groaning and organs about to rupture. He’d had enough presence of mind to lash out with Ecliptica and get some minor payback, before hitting the ground.
Shaking off that memory, he said, “If I charge up enough energy, I can summon beams of light to hit my target.”
“I see,” Victoria said, resting her chin on laced fingers. “Are you good at waiting?”
He wanted to laugh bitterly at that. “Yes.”
“Okay. I’ll make adjustments to the plan and let you know tomorrow.”
“You should eat,” the Singularity said.
One shopping trip and a few hours later, Sandalphon wondered what his life had become as he was lying down in Johann’s room.
(“If he takes the spare bed in your room, do you promise you won’t keep him up all night asking questions?” the Singularity had asked.
The response had not been reassuring, but so far, he had been quiet.)
He had no real context for any of it, but the past quarter of a day felt very… mortal. Was this what normal life was like for them?
This whole undertaking of asking primals for information about the Relics was outside his realm of expertise, but it was still part of his purpose as the surrogate Supreme Primarch who needed to make things right. He was entirely out of his depth with whatever this thing the Singularity had dragged him into was.
His thoughts were broken when Johann inhaled and the air practically seemed to vibrate with anticipation. Sandalphon resisted the urge to bury his face in his pillow and groan.
“Can I ask just one question?”
“Fine. Just one question,” Sandalphon growled and immediately regretted it when Johann launched into a spiel about different texts’ interpretation of Estalucia.
“…so I was wondering if you had any insight about whether it’s a real place or purely metaphorical.”
“Unfortunately, I was not privy to that information. I doubt even Lucifer knew.”
“Do you think–“
“I meant it when I said only one question.”
The room settled into disappointed silence for a moment. “You’re mentioned too, you know.”
Sandalphon pondered how much bodily harm he could get away with doing.
“From a text written around the 500s. It says you’re the ‘beloved of the Supreme Primarch.’”
“It says I’m what?” Sandalphon sat up, feeling like his head was spinning.
“That’s just a rough translation,” Johann continued, as though Sandalphon hadn’t said anything, “but the point is that people will always remember you as someone Lucifer cares about.”
“Why do they care?” Sandalphon demanded, voice suddenly raspy. “What does it matter to them who I was?”
“That’s just part of being a person,” Johann said. “We care about who people are to each other. And the fact that someone wrote it down means someone thought it was important.”
“Why are we talking about this?”
Johann didn’t answer immediately but when he did, his voice was the most serious it had been the entire conversation. “Because I think you should know that even as it’s your job to watch, we’re also looking back.”
“Is that supposed to be a threat?”
“No. Just a statement of fact. I’ve noticed that those with a long lives tend to forget that, both in a lonely way and an irresponsible way. You’re welcome to take it either way or have your own interpretation of it.”
A sharp rap at the door interrupted what Sandalphon was going to say.
“I’m going to sleep!” Johann called defensively.
“Could they hear what we were saying?” Sandalphon asked, horrified.
“No, just that we were talking. Good night.”
It took Sandalphon’s mind a while to settle. He’d never thought about what mortals would write about primals, not really. And that wasn’t particularly how he wanted to be known. What was written about Lucifer? Had he known all those eyes were on him?
He wasn’t aware of falling asleep, but Johann getting up roused him. The clock indicated that it was 8:30. He mentally went over yesterday’s events to make sure he knew what was going on before also getting out of bed.
The Singularity was still asleep on the couch bed. Victoria was awake at the table, working on a laptop. A completed Sword of Destruction was beside her, which Johann was looking over.
Victoria held a few pieces of paper out to him. “This is the layout of the mansion. Memorize it. We plan on striking tomorrow, since that’s when Cohen will go on a business trip.”
The floor plan was neat and clearly labeled with the exits. The Relics were stored in the basement.
“Did you have a plan on how to get out of the city?” Victoria asked.
“Flying.”
“On a plane or with your wings?”
“As long as you’re sure you won’t be caught, fine.”
Johann put down the sword and walked over to the coffee maker, filling up the mug beneath. Noticing Sandalphon watching, he held it out, asking, “Would you like some?”
“I wouldn’t,” Victoria warned as Sandalphon took it and studied the contents.
It seemed like normal coffee. He wasn’t expecting anything amazing, but it was at least worth a taste. Carefully, Sandalphon took a sip and resisted the urge to spit it out.
“I told you,” Victoria said in a sing-song voice. “Johann’s standards are terrible.”
“Rude.” Johann pouted and filled up another mug. Drinking from it, he said, “I think it tastes perfectly fine.”
“Is it bully Johann time already?” the Singularity asked, yawning as she joined them.
“I don’t like this game.”
“Then maybe you should have better taste,” Victoria said, chuckling. “Everyone eat breakfast. We’ll have our team meeting after.”
The plans were impressive for its thoroughness, with back-ups and contingencies for everything. Sandalphon had gone into battles with only a fraction of the preparation done here.
His part was relatively simple: stand at the entrance to the basement and deal with things violently if that’s what was called for.
“If everything goes smoothly, you’ll have a boring night,” Victoria said. “But they usually don’t, so remember that our goal is to get out with the Relics without being caught or our identities discovered. Are the forgeries finished?”
“Yep,” the Singularity said.
“Good. Then the team meeting is adjourned. You and Johann don’t have anymore tasks until tomorrow. Sandy, look over this.”
“Sand–“
The Singularity clapped him on the shoulder. “Have fun, Sandy,” she said, before running off.
“Don’t call me that.”
“Why not? It’s a perfectly adequate nickname,” Victoria said. “Now pay attention, this is important.”
An hour later and Sandalphon’s head felt stuffed with information about law enforcement and the layout of the city. He rubbed his temples as he squinted at the description of Cohen’s security force.
“You should take a break,” Victoria said.
“I’m fine.”
Victoria put her hand on the papers to block the words from view. “Take a break. You’re no good to us if you burn yourself out right now. I doubt Djeeta will be lucky enough to come across another friend who’ll be our bodyguard.”
“We aren’t friends.”
“Oh? Then why are you here?” There was a hint of something steel in those words that made Sandalphon look at her sharply.
“Excuse me?”
“With your power, you could charge into Cohen’s home right now and get what you want. So why haven’t you?”
“I… just think discretion would be wiser,” he said in a terribly unconvincing way, considering that it was true.
“Hm, I do admire a man that knows how to hold back,” Victoria mused.
What kind of conversation am I having right now? Sandalphon thought, but didn’t know how to verbalize.
“But if you and Djeeta really aren’t friends, then I need your confirmation that you’re all in on this plan. If you tell me you want out now, I won’t hold it against you.”
So far, he had spent most of his time feeling aggravated or confused. Of course he wanted to get away from these people as soon as possible and go back to traveling. But that didn’t mean he was just going to quit. “I’m going to see this through.”
Victoria nodded, pleased. “Good.”
Sandalphon wondered if her promise to not hold a grudge had been a lie. There’d be no purpose in asking, though, not after he’d just confirmed his commitment.
It was early in the evening when the Singularity ran up to Victoria, phone in hand.
“Chat Noir uploaded,” the Singularity said.
“He what?!” Victoria shouted, grabbing the phone.
Curious, Sandalphon looked over her shoulder to see what was happening. It was a thirty second video, announcing Chat Noir’s intention to steal the Eye of Jupiter, whatever that meant.
“That son of a–! If he had any pride as a thief, he wouldn’t perform these theatrics.” Victoria tapped on the edge of the phone, thinking. “Change of plans, we’re stealing the relics tonight.”
“Tonight?” the Singularity said.
“I’m not risking Cohen getting spooked and deciding to upgrade his security.” Victoria handed the phone back and pulled up a train schedule. “Tell Johann.”
The Singularity ran to the hallway, shouting the announcement.
“Tonight?! I need to return my library books!” There was a bang, probably from the bathroom door being flung open, and then sound of Johann running to the bedroom.
“You can dry your hair first!”
“It’ll dry on the way,” Johann said and was out the front door.
“Sandy, can you do the dishes?” the Singularity asked as she started to strip the sheets from the couch bed. “Use the gloves above the sink.”
Glancing at him, Victoria began, “Do you know how–“
“Yes, I know how,” he said, rolling his eyes and standing.
The next few hours passed in a whirlwind of packing and destroying anything incriminating. Victoria did a final sweep of the house while the rest of them waited in the car.
“Legend has it that the Relics could be used to call its creators back from their journey,” Johann said. “Have you ever met them?”
“No.” The Brothers of Light and Darkness had been long gone by the time Sandalphon had first set foot in the mortal realm. He hadn’t come across them in his travels either.
“That’s good. Don’t need to add another crisis on top of everything else,” the Singularity said.
Victoria joined them in the car. “Let’s go.”
The Singularity parked about a block away.
“Remember, Cohen will be in the house, so make as little noise as possible. And don’t kill him, no matter what.” At that last part, Victoria gave Johann a meaningful look.
“I promise I won’t kill him,” Johann said.
“Good luck! Be careful,” the Singularity said.
Almost there, Lucifer, Sandalphon thought as he followed the other two.
They entered through a window on the bottom floor and crept through the dark house to the basement. As instructed, Sandalphon waited at the top of the steps, just out of sight, so he could keep a lookout.
The first one they got was the Sword of Destruction. As soon as the wards were down, Sandalphon felt its power, confirming its authenticity, even as Johann made the ‘ok’ sign.
With that, Johann placed the forgery in place and began redoing the wards, while Victoria worked on getting the Crown of Choice. Sandalphon shifted from one foot to the other, watching the shadows move and listening for approaching footsteps.
An hour and then another half passed before they were finished. No danger arose and the escape from the house was similarly uneventful.
“We got them. Drive,” Victoria said as soon as they were in the car.
The Singularity’s knuckles were white as she gripped the steering wheel. “All right!”
Johann’s laugh was giddy, bordering on disbelief. “Did we do it?”
“Not until we’re out of the city,” Victoria said, putting the crown in the Singularity’s bag. “Don’t let your guard down.”
Sandalphon and the Singularity were dropped off near the train station. Victoria would be taking Johann to another station to go in another direction before heading on her own with the car.
The Singularity threw her arms around Victoria, whose face turned bright red. “You’re the best.”
Coughing to regain her composure, Victoria said, “Naturally. Stay safe on your way back.”
“You too.”
Johann was similarly embraced.
“Make sure you stay out of trouble.”
“Are you sure you–“
“Yes, I’ll be fine.”
The Singularity waved at them as they drove away. Sandalphon turned the Staff of Creation disguised as an ordinary walking stick in his hands. He felt energized as the power hummed against his palms.
Grinning at him, the Singularity said, “Glad everything went smoothly. Thanks for all your help.”
Sandalphon considered what he should say. He could just leave now. He did not have to get involved with the Singularity’s problems. “Where’s the girl in blue? And the dragon? Weren’t you inseparable?”
Djeeta’s smile faded and she looked away. “I’m going to meet them now.” Checking the time, she said, “I need to go. Say hi to Lucifer for me.”
Manifesting his wings, Sandalphon reached up and plucked a feather from his wings, holding it out to her. “You can tell him that yourself. After I get him back, I’ll find you. And I’ll help you if you need it.”
She stared at it and then up at him, uncertain.
“You have a train to catch,” he snapped. “Hurry up and take it.”
“Fine.” She grabbed it and began to run off, calling over her shoulder. “I’ll see you around.”
Sandalphon only watched her for a second and then spread his wings and took flight.
A/N: This got a little out-of-hand; I thought this was going to be quick. Instead, the word count doubled and I was stuck with too many ideas that could not work with Sandalphon as the main focus. I hope you enjoyed it anyway. Please forgive the deficiencies.

Firstly, because of your first inclusion of Magnus the Red, I started binge-watching the TTS series (which has been absolutely hilarious), so thanks for that! Secondly, I was wondering if any other WH40K characters (esp. the other Primarchs) play any notable roles within the setting/cosmology of CrossThicc?
now you know the joy i feel whenever Brotrip 40k gets another upload : D you are most welcome!
since 40k is one of my favorite series (if more so with a lighter tone that takes the grimdark much less seriously), concepts from 40k are all over the place: the realms of magic are more or less a gentler version of the Warp mixed with Dragon Age’s Fade (and travel through those realms is essentialy 40k warp travel), the multiverse’s versions of orcs and elves draw heavily from the Orks and Eldar, and thus important characters from those species would be highly important among their peoples here.
for the Primarchs, you have to start with the Emperor. I’ve mentioned elsewhere that he, and the Primarchs, are explicitly magical/divine here, and there’s more of Warhammer Fantasy Battle’s tones here mashed up with 40k. The Emperor himself is the God of Humanity as a whole; the part of the outer realms defined by ‘human’ being a Thing, and he’s very much like his TTS counterpart; loud, complaining and loves to swear and mess with people. he IS more compassionate, though, and has no real problem with aliens and mutants; he’s more concerned that humanity stay alive than that it is dominant or in a specific form.
it should be noted that the Imperium of canon no longer exists; something similar DID, at one point, but that was a long time ago and it has since collapsed, and spanned the multiverse as a fulfillment of the Emperor’s original plans. Similar groups (such as the Imperial Commonwealth) are disavowed by the Primarchs, who REALLY don’t like the Commonwealth. In part, the commonwealth is inspired by the worst aspects of the Imperium from canon... but then, everyone in the know is ashamed of what the Imperium has become in canon.
For the Primarchs, they are also gods who embody a fundamental aspect of the sapient mind/will, as expressed through humans. Vulkan is humanity’s compassion in all its forms, Magnus is its potential for magic and intellectual achievement, and so forth. Their canonical homeworlds are centers of cross-species society that fulfill their goals, and while their avatars may rule there, mosto ften their space marine children (who can be men or women here) are spiritual leaders to them, with varying degrees of directness. Sort of like different warrior societies throughout history; some advise the rulers, others ARE in charge. In general, they’re like knightly orders infused with the power of their god-liege to become something more than human.
All the Primarchs are still alive! This DOES mean that Horus is kicking around somewhere, as is Sanguinius and the others who died in canon.
Vulkan: my favorite primarch, and so one with a great deal of relevance to the AU; he’s largely as per TTS and canon, a big and lovable goofball who embodies the best in humanity and is a paragon of the IDEA of being a paragon; has some draconic aspects, and he has lava-like cracks appear when he powers up. Worshiped as a god of heroism by the orks, he is taking on some of their mannerisms and physical traits. His Salamanders are a core part of the Endowed Fleet, and he himself may be part of the God Squad pantheon. Is a VERY big hugger!
Magnus: Much of his character has pretty much been shown already; his exact plans are mysterious and unclear, and he has arrived at the Library of Wan Shi Tong for unknown purposes, but he probably is just trying to safeguard knowledge for its own sake, and he’s deadly afraid of another cataclysm wiping out civilization for good. Embdies the power of magical achievement, and to an extent, the idea of knowledge.
Jaghatai Khan: POSSIBLY associated with the Air Nomads, revered by him in some capacity; possibly this is what led Magnus to that world to begin with. Chogoris, beneath the leadership of his most trusted heirs, has expanded into a large interstellar empire that is prosperous and just. It’s unclear what his domain is, but its probably to do with controlled ferocity. Somehow a patron to all who revere their rides.
Leman Russ: is an actual werewolf here, as are his space wolves. (Mix them up with the Uratha of the New World of Darkness; shapeshifting man-wolf spirit guardians!) His domain is also unknown, but may involve ruthlessness; his an Magnus’ rivalry is still quite intense, though its less to do with personal vendettas and more with conflicting agendas and ways of doing things. He is likely the source of werebeast-ness in some way, a proto-typical Father of Werewolves; either as far as humans are concerned, or the modern manifestation of that particular gift.
Sanguinius: Not too sure what his domain might be, but I definitely think he has some link with the Dolorosa of Homestuck, and the two of them are somehow linked to the existence of vampires. She is the mother of ALL vampires, and he may be the father of the more recent modern strains! Perhaps they have something going on there, or are reflections of a similar primal concept? Either way, he’s basically the most fabulous and good-hearted vampire knight-ideal there ever was. HE is bitey Galahad
my knowledge of the other Primarchs in general (especially those given most of their character in the Black Library books) is a lot more spotty, so i welcome suggestions or ideas from anyone who has a thought on ‘em! same iwth any 40k character in general, ESPECIALLY the xenos!

Hi! I'm not dead!
Just had a busy, BUSY year on my head, with little to no time for this blog except for my fanfic update and the queue. So, time for a lil update, and a fanfic recap of 2024!
Hi, I'm Math! I still love warhammer, but I am branching out to other fandom slowly but certainly! I am also publishing original work, both online and IRL. No, yall with not get my IRL stuff. I adore writing more than anything, and in spite of a capricious mental health for the last year (yeah, that's not fun), I still manage! Here are my last year fanfic work:
Counting Stars: the sequel to my soulmate au!!!!! Oh my GOD I was happy to publish to one!!!! My soulmate au is still probably my favorite fanfic I ever wrote, and I cannot be more proud. This one is also super interesting, because it's Mort interacting with various chaos people! So far we have only seen Lorgar, but Fulgrim, Perty and Magnus are incomming.... and a Certain favorite doctor of mine ;)
Supraglottoplasty (softening the larynx): My lord. That fucking fic is probably the most explicot thing I have ever done lmaooo. Fabius fuck eidolon in a neck wound. They are both happy. First fic with that pairing on ao3 lmao!! It was a delight to write
Tender is The Flesh: .... Ngl, this is my *best* writing. Ever. I'm almost mad that it's a fanfic. It's a horror story about Sang comming back to life. It's.... Well. It sure is gory!!! A lot of people loved it, and it was a gift for a dear friend, Allyria. Only took two years to write lmao
Agency: Updated with the Ferrus chapter!!! Oh my god the people were HAPPY about that one, and so was I!!!! I truly loved that fic, and while it is still ongoing, it's slowly reaching conclusion! Aaaaaaah!!!
Northern Lights: My summer fic exchange fic!! T4T Lorgar/Leman and oh my god is it a tender and sweet fiiiiiic. I loved writing it so much :D! Very funny tho that me and LepetitMonstre got each others and basically wrote the same theme. Two cakes!!!
A different Perspective: The Uriel/Honsou arranged marriaged fic!!!! Gaaaaasp! Yes, I did update it, with 50% more terrible SM cooking, and IW home improvement! Fics are never abandoned with, just on long hiatus. Honsou is so insanely fun to write yall. Feral little fuck. https://archiveofourown.org/works/38956062/chapters/97428954
We are going in a different fandom.... The Mothwashing fandom!!! A Jim/Curly medical-ish non-con fic, with a lot of self hatred and weird ugly feels. I love it. If you want some good angst, try it!
40k's Dracula: The spiritual sequel to my Phantom of the Opera au. Primarch, but it's epistolary Dracula! Oh my! How scandalous!!! It's also super fucking gay, not a straight to be seen. Special mention to Amit, who I have written for the first time and is an adorable grumpy vampire!
In Absence: and finally.... My original work. Technically posted in 2025, but started in 2024. It's on Royal Road, because it's not fanwork and I wouldn't do that to Ao3. It's basically a grimdark Isekai, about a poor woman falling into a fantasy world, and realising that death means nothing in it. It just started and will be quite long, but it has all my usual themes, like violence, sadness, and Mysterious Hot Queer People who will Ruin Your Life. It would mean the world to me if you give it a try!
So, that's it! That's what I did, for the year 2024, and I am more than happy to share it with you, and so much more for 2025!!!!
#warhammer 40k#warhammer#wh40k#my fanfic#my fics#mouthwashing#original work#royal road#i am so incredibly nervpus to promote my original stuff yall#but if you enjoyed my fem primarch au or Tender is the Flesh of my mouthwashing fic you might enjoy that one too!

so the au is heavily inspired by nobledark imperium, tts, fantasy, age of sigmar, and a few other little bits of fanon
the main part of the au is that the emissary (the au emperor) created the imperium of man with the goal of reuniting humanity together and helping stop slavery and providing everyone with national education, healthcare, transport, and more, whilst also supporting small businesses (imperium of man was chosen as the name because it was mainly for humanity and it sounded cool).
so the imperium is heavily socialist/communist. later on, the 'of man' part of the imperium was dropped when the eldar officially joined to create an alliance against the evils of chaos (although this alliance does not have the emissary and isha getting married), this alliance came after rescuing isha from ol' nurgle and getting her into realspace so nurgle can't get her (unlike nobledark imperium, isha instead inhabits an avatar made of wraithbone and plant matter)
the imperium shortly afterwards starts accepting other races who are friendly and willing to join the alliance, such as the demiurg, the seraphon and more, with some not joining, but perhaps helping out (such as settra, for settra does not serve, settra rules/the gretchin revolushinaree komitee/trazyn who just wants to curate history/da impereeyums greenest)
another main aspect is that there was no horus heresy, instead 'the everchosen war' began when a sons of horus marine called archaon fell to chaos and started recuiting others. (unlike the HH no entire legion turns traitor, with instead numbers coming from all 20 legions, with the dark angles proving the most traitors when a third of the legion followed luthor in joining chaos, and the imperial fists with the least amount of traitors)(also no primarch deaths)
furthermore after this civil war roboute does suggest breaking the legions into chapters and the codex astartes as a test run, ultimately it does good so new chapters are made although the original 20 are still at legion numbers and successor chapters can be granted the authority to go to legion numbers (legions here being around ~100,000 marines at arms, which is spilt into 10 chapters with ~10,000 marines at arms, with them split into 10 cohorts of ~1000 marines at arms, which is then split further to ~1000 marines at arms) also female marines are canon
some small downsides to the imperium is that for starters, once you join, you can't leave (so no brexiting) as everyone is in the fight against chaos, tyranids, orks, necrons and others together. also there is no prime directive or similar thing here. if a pre-space faring civilisation with no knowledge of the horrors of the galaxy is discovered then you gotta come down and help get them prepared for chaos, orks, or anything else, even if it causes issues in the civilisation
guess what time it iiiiiiis. headcanons time! add onto this post any 40k headcanons you’ve thought up and enjoy <3

Ah, your wighting makes me unbelievably happy! Buzzing like a child with candy in their system. Have me smiling stupidly at my screen.
Anyways, I have a questioning curiosity for the Space Marine Husbandry. How does The Emperor play in all of it? Or is it just another Warp thing?
(I’d prefer to go by “Ichor” just sounds a bit better.)
Oh by the Throne the Emperor
So I will be honest I'm building lore by the seat of my pants. So this is kinda an alternate universe one where this is a modern day earth minus the fact that Warhammer 40/Fantasy do not exist (Fantasy might idk) but 40k never exists because the Astartes are real.
So there is no Emperor here no Warp (for the most part) and there are all these Space Marines.
Well if we're talking about Warp Emperor he; like the Chaos Gods, their champions & Primarchs; are all aware that there's something fucky wucky going on. I might explain it like how I did in my D&D AU where only a part of their soul is missing or we could say that there are a bunch of space marines suddenly missing throughout time.
Actual Emperor might also notice something off via the warp might notice A LOT if it does effect his Custodes and might figure out what is going on.
For the most part he and the chaos gods don't really play a role on my setting. Just they are AWARE that something is off just like how some Space Marines in the setting the human-killers/feral Chaos Marines or the feral loyalists are aware that something isn't right with their brothers/cousins .
Kinda getting to the meat and potatoes of how this setting is (because I'm sorry I'm kinda rambling) all about how something is just off. Everything looks so nice and sweet and everything just seemingly working out but there is always an undercurrent of wrongness.
