"Spencer open the door."

The rough surface of the door scratched against your skin as you pressed your ear tighter to the wood. You willed yourself to stay perfectly still, straining for the smallest sound — a voice, a creak of floorboards, a heartbeat even. Nothing came. Just an empty, echoing void that seemed to laugh in your face. 

His car was parked out front. His lights were on. You knew he was inside. You knew. Spencer didn’t just vanish, not without a reason. He didn’t shut people out unless something was wrong. You tried to picture him hunched over a book or pacing in thought, but the images felt brittle, like they might shatter if you held onto them for too long.

"Spencer, please," you tried again, louder this time. "I'm not leaving until I know you're okay."

Still nothing. With a shaky hand, you reached for the handle. When it turned easily, the small relief was swallowed whole by the dread rising in your veins.

You froze as your eyes landed on him, slumped on the couch like a puppet whose strings had been cut. His head was bowed, his hand trembling faintly where it rested in his lap. His hair hung in messy strands around his face and his entire frame seemed to sag, like ten thousand boulders sat upon him.

"Spencer?" you whispered, stepping inside.

His head lifted at the sound, his bleary eyes struggling to focus. For a second, he looked almost surprised to see you, before his expression crumpled into something darker. Shame, maybe.

"What are you doing here?" he asked, voice raw, cracked, and worst of all, slurred.

The syringe on the coffee table confirmed what you already feared. You forced yourself to swallow, though it felt like shards of glass scraping down your throat. This wasn't the first time Spencer had relapsed, however, knowing that did nothing to soften the blow.

It was him, though, his appearance, that made it all so unbearable. He seemed impossibly diminished, as if this thing had shrunk him to something unrecognizable.  The man you knew — sharp, wildly gifted, endlessly compassionate — had been hollowed out, replaced by someone who looked like they were holding on by a plastic string.

You opened your mouth to speak, but no words came. What could you possibly say? That you were here because you cared? That you couldn't stand the thought of him hurting alone? Or that seeing him like this felt like your heart was being wrenched apart, piece by agonizing piece?

Your gaze drifted to the syringe again, and bile crept up your throat, hot and bitter. You'd always known Spencer was fragile in his own way, but seeing the physical evidence of it, made it real in a way you weren't sure you were prepared for.

"You're shaking," you said quietly, crossing the room to kneel in front of him.

"I'm fine," he murmured, but the tremor in his voice gave him away.

"Yeah," you said back, mirroring his hushed tone. "You look fine."

A harsh, bitter laugh tore from his throat. It fractured halfway through, faltering into silence as his head dropped forward. His shoulders slumped, folding in on themselves, and for a second, you thought he might collapse entirely.

 "Don't...don't say it."

"Say what?"

"That I messed up," he slurred. "That I—you don't need to say it. I already know."

You reached out, placing your hand gently over his. His skin was clammy, his fingers cold beneath yours. "I wasn't going to. I think you're doing a good job of beating yourself up without me piling on."

His breath hitched, and you felt his hand twitch beneath yours, but he didn't pull away. A good sign, you thought.

"You shouldn't even be here," he mumbled after a long pause, his voice barely audible.

"Well, I am."

He didn't argue, but the faint furrow of his brow told you he wanted to.  It was a familiar expression, etched into your memory like a signature, the one he wore when he was deep in thought, pushing through some intricate crossword row. You could almost picture the insanely intelligent remark that used to follow, the lightbulb moment when his ideas shot across the room.

You’d always marveled at this sheer scope of Spencer’s mind. It was like an endless expanse of stars, each thought and idea connecting to something bigger and more profound. But in moments like this, it was hard not to see the darker side of that brilliance. The same mind that made him so extraordinary seemed to turn on him, trapping him in a relentless cycle of second-guessing and self-inflicted pain, similar to a galaxy collapsing in on itself.

It hurt to see him like this. It hurt in a way you didn't have the words for. But as much as it cut through you, you knew it cut deeper for him.

You stood, moving quietly to the kitchen. The clicking of glassware was the only sound as you filled a cup with water and grabbed a towel. 

When you returned, he was staring blankly at the ceiling, his lips moving faintly like he was trying to form words.

You knelt beside him, holding the glass out. "Here. Drink this."

He blinked down at it, his brow furrowing like the act of drinking water was entirely too complicated. "I don't need —,"

"You do," you interrupted, gently nudging it toward him.

He took it after a beat, grip clumsy as you helped steady it. He sipped and you waited until he'd taken a few swallows before taking it back and setting it aside.

When you brought a damp towel to his forehead, he flinched, his eyes snapping to meet yours. "What are you...?"

"Shh," you said softly, dabbing at his sweat-damp skin.

He didn't relax right away, his body stiff and uncomfortable.

"You're just... doing all this," he muttered. "Like it's normal. Like I didn't..."

His voice trailed off, his gaze flickering guiltily to the coffee table.

You didn't follow his eyes.

"You're tired," you said instead, folding the towel and pressing it to the back of his neck.

"I didn't mean to," he said suddenly, his voice cracking. "I-I tried not to. I swear I tried. But I just... I just couldn't stop thinking —,"

He cut himself off, his breathing ragged and uneven.

"Spencer," you said softly. "You don't have to explain anything to me right now."

"But I—,"

"Not right now."

He let out a shaky exhale, his eyes drifting shut. You stayed beside him, wide awake.

The silence seemed to stretch between you, sometimes broken by his uneven breathing and the occasional murmured word as his mind wandered. He rambled faintly, disconnected sentences spilling out of him, something about Gideon, something you couldn't quite catch. You didn't try to make sense of it, just sat with him.

At some point, he slumped sideways, his head landing heavily against your shoulder. He didn't say anything, didn't open his eyes, but you felt his breathing slow and the tightness in his body gradually softened.

You reached for a blanket draped over the couch, carefully tucking it around him. His brow furrowed, and for a brief second, you thought he might wake, but he settled again, his head pressing deeper into your shoulder.

Your gaze flicked to the coffee table once more, the syringe laying there like a conversation waiting for tomorrow. But for now, you stayed still, letting him rest.

Do You Actually Need Methods to Manifest?

Okay so let's talk about this cause I've been getting asks on it like "do we actually need methods?" or "if I do xyz, instead of abc am I doing it right?"

I see so many people stressing over whether they’re doing the right method, whether they missed a day of scripting, whether their manifestation is delayed because they forgot to do their affirmations in the morning, and honestly, that’s not even what manifestation is about, yall are missing the whole damn point.

Manifestation is literally just reality responding to what you assume to be true. That’s it. No methods, no signs.

No extra steps required. No methods necessary. Just your thoughts, your beliefs, your assumptions, those are the things creating your reality every second of every day.

But somehow, people have made it into this complicated checklist of things you have to do, and I’m here to tell you that’s completely unnecessary, yall just love to overcomplicate things when the it isn't that serious, I promise yall.

Okay, so there is pretty mess and many debates here about the methods, many of you even feel conflicted and a big question mark is left inside your head so Celeste is here to turn that question mark into PERIOD.

Have you ever thought about something super casually, like not even trying to manifest it, and then BOOM, it happened?

You didn’t script it, You didn’t say 100 affirmations, You didn’t do any guided meditation, you didn't visualised it still....

It just happened.

Why? Because you had no resistance to it. Because on some level, you just assumed it would happen, and so it did.

Thats how manifestation actually works.

But when people start getting obsessed with methods, they start making it all feel like work, like something they need to force, like if they don’t do it perfectly, their desires won’t come (universe isn't an asian parent)

And guess what happens then?

They manifest more waiting, more struggling, more "trying" instead of just receiving.

The universe isn’t sitting there with a checklist making sure you did all the steps correctly before giving you what you want.

Cause my darling, my honey, my love, you Don’t Need a Method. You just Need the Right Assumption.

You don’t need to script every day unless you genuinely enjoy it.

You don’t need to say affirmations on a loop unless it actually makes you feel better.

You don’t need to visualize for exactly 17 seconds or do anything in a specific way because none of that is what actually makes things manifest.

The only thing that actually matters is what you assume to be true. That’s literally it, cause for example: if you don't like scripting but you're just doing it daily to "get your desire" but you're thinking of it as a BURDEN then my love what's the point?

If you assume that scripting works for you, it will. If you assume that doing nothing will still bring you results, it will. If you assume that your desire is already yours, then congratulations, it’s already done. ITS ALL BASED ON ASSUMPTIONSSSS.

But wait...lemme also tell you where most of yall get stuck

When you start to think that manifestation is about doing something rather than being, thats where you get stuck in between.

If you already had what you wanted, would you be stressing over whether you missed a day of affirmations?

No right? youd just be living your life, knowing that it’s yours.

That’s the state you need to be in. You don’t have to "do" manifestation, you just have to live in the assumption that what you want is already a done deal.

That’s why people who barely even know about manifestation still get what they want effortlessly. They’re not overthinking it, they’re not stressing about whether they’re doing it right, they just assume things work out for them, and so they do.

Meanwhile, the people who are overloading themselves with techniques and methods are often the ones who feel stuck, because they’re operating from a mindset of "OMGGG I have to do all of this to make it happen" instead of just trusting that it’s already done.

And always remember methods are tools, not requirements.

And don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying methods are bad.

If you like scripting, go ahead and script. If affirmations make you feel good, use them. If visualizing helps you connect with your desire, then do it.

But don’t do these things because you feel like you have to, as I already mentioned feeling like it's a "burden".

Do them because you genuinely enjoy them, because they help you step into the feeling of already having what you want.

That’s the only reason methods work, because they convince you that you already have it, my love.

It’s never the method itself that’s powerful, it’s you. You are the method. You are the reason why things manifest.

You don't need methods, methods need you.

So if you’ve been stressing over whether you’re doing enough, whether you’re manifesting correctly, whether you need to follow a certain or specific process to get what you want, take a deep breath and let that go.

You don’t need to do anything except decide that what you want is already yours. That’s it.

No more overcomplicating, no more chasing, no more forcing.

Just knowing. Just trusting. Just being.

Because when you assume that you already have what you want, reality has no choice but to reflect that back to you.

That’s how this works. That’s how it has always worked. And that’s all you ever need to know. (Istg if anyone asked me again "am I doing this wrong?" Imma kms fs)

Been watching the 2003 tmnt show, and obviously I went in with some knowledge of who the turtles are and their roles and personalities, but it's been kind of fascinating to notice how Leonardo is actually pretty restrained in acting as a leader, at least in the more traditional sense (and from what i've seen so far in the first 2 seasons).

The moments where he actually directly takes charge of a situation and tells his brothers what to do, or puts his foot down on what he thinks is best, are actually few and far between. It usually only really crops up in life-or-death situations, or if his brothers are arguing over a course of action and he has to intervene.

To be honest, I think his more common leadership moments are understated to the point of barely being noticeable, and it's whenever they have a problem or situation to deal with and he turns to his brothers for suggestions on what to do. And the reason i consider this to be leadership moments are threefold:

First, by doing so, he's actually helping direct their focus on possible solutions or weak points, because his questions to them are never "what do we do" but more like "how can we distract the guards" or "is it possible to take down this machine", and like, listen. Listen. As someone who works with the general public and is one of the "leaders" of my department and has to guide my co-workers, the ability to assess a situation and even just know what kind of questions to ask to reach a solution is genuinely an underrated skill that far too many grown ass adults have not cultivated.

Second, he's actually keeping the line of communication open between him and his brothers. Sure, Don is usually the turtle who provides an answer, but Raph and Mikey are always welcome to speak up too and sometime they go with their ideas! I also think this makes them comfortable enough to speak up during more high pressure situations that aren't going great when they have a plan, bc they have full confidence that Leo and the others will back them up bc Leo really is always encouraging them to think and help him figure out what to do,

Which brings me to my third reason. By asking them for their thoughts and advice, it shows that Leonardo is willing to admit that he doesn't know something and he isn't afraid to look for them for help (at least in this regard lmao). And idk about yall but I'm much more willing to follow someone who won't pretend he has all the answers and is willing to seek advice, over someone whose ego is so big they can never admit to being wrong or humble themselves to ask for help.

And, like, I don't really know what came first, if, growing up, they were so close and good at working together that it never occurred to Leonardo to be more authoritative with his brothers now that they're a team, or if because Leonardo spent so much of their childhood more concerned with running after them and bailing them out of whatever scraps they get into and low-key knew telling them what to do wouldn't work that he just naturally fell into a more communicative and "we're all in this together, let's figure out what to do together" style.

But it does give off the impression of the brothers being a tight-knit team that pretty much work as one unit. Any friction between them is minimal at best (with most of it actually being between Mikey and Raph who take any opportunity to mess with the other). They don't really need to outline plans bc they're usually on the same page in the first place, and they have complete trust and faith in one another in getting the job done. No one is really in charge until it's necessary.

And, finally, all of the above combined is why I think his brothers usually listen and respect Leo on the rare occasions he does put his foot down on something. They know he wouldn't do it unless he was serious about what he's saying. Pretty much the only times they don't are when all 3 of them are united on wanting to do something and Leo was already kind of wavering on what to do, so they know they can rush ahead and big brother will rush after them to make sure they're okay. Or if they are also absolutely serious and fully believe in their own opinion on an issue (see the City at War arc where Leo and Raph are on complete opposite sides of the issue at hand).

but i still got 2 and half seasons to get through so maybe that changes!

Dominik was your best friend and the man you've been swooning over the past year. 

A year ago you couldn't stand the thought of him or the rest of The Judgement Day. You felt that their presence every Monday night was just… annoying to say the least. But, After many many many attempts at getting you to join, you finally gave in. Rhea was the one who convinced you. 

“C'mon y/n think about all the opportunities we could get you! You could be the next Women’s Champion. I've seen how hard you've been working for that opportunity. Let JD help you.” 

"Fine, but if you guys screw me over, it's not gonna be pretty"

"Now why would we do that y/n?" she says with her signature smirk

So here you are now, the women's Champion, with the four people you now consider family. Shortly after joining, you realized that they weren't that terrible after all. And that's also when you stopped seeing Dom as a nuisance and saw him as the sweet and caring person he truly is. Out of everyone, you and Dom were the closest. Felt like I didn't give my best tonight.” he shrugs. “Dom you always give a good show, dont doubt it.” He smiles at your comment. “Now cmon, I think the cab is here” You wrap an arm around his neck and head towards the exit. What you didn't know is that one, it was raining, and two, once you exit, you can't get back in. 

“Oh shit! I didn't know it was gonna be pouring out here,” you said running toward the door. You attempted to open the door. “What the…” you tried again. “Dom I think we're stuck out here…” You begin to anxiously laugh at the situation. “You know this is your fault right” You look at Dom like he has two heads. “My fault?! How was I supposed to know it was gonna be pouring out and-” “Relax y/n, I'm just fucking with you” he laughs at your mini outburst. 

“You're an asshole, you know that right?” the uncomfortable feeling of being wet starting to sink in.

The two of you laugh and settle into a comfortable silence.

Dom notices you start to shiver. “Here take my jacket” He handed it to you and you put it on quickly. “Thanks” you smile to yourself. Little acts like this is what made you fall in love with him, if only you could tell him that. Minutes pass by still waiting for transportation, and the two of you switch between looking at your phones or watching the rain fall peacefully. Dom decides to break that comfortable silence. 

“Y/n can I tell you something?”

“Of course, what's up”

He turns to look down at you. “I don't know why I have this sudden urge to tell you this but fuck it,” you look at him confused. “Y/N I like you, a lot." Oh? Oh. "Even before you joined JD, when you hated my guts. You're- you're just so perfect, and funny, and beautiful and I can't explain what you do to me, but I love it. I didn't know people like you existed. You mean a lot to me and I don't even know if you feel the same b-” You cut him off, putting your hand on his wet cheek, and smile. “Dom, I've had the biggest crush on you for months now. I'm surprised you didn't notice! He stares at you baffled. "You're lying" "I swear!" Laughs come from both of you, he leans in, kissing you softly. He's the one to break the kiss. “I wasn't expecting you to change my life... but you did" You give him the biggest smile, and as you begin to respond to him, you are interrupted by the sound of a car horn. It's Rhea, Finn, and Damien all smiling at the two of you from the car.

“About damn time!” Damien says.

I'm glad you brought it up, anon! Setting some boundaries is a good thing to have, and I'll be linking this post to my new Pinned Intro Soon so it can be found in the future.

I'm perfectly okay with anyone drawing any of my characters. Civ, Livic, Lye, etc, any of them are free game to your disposal! The fact that you choose to draw my characters is already a big deal to me!

TL,DR: Avoid hard kinks for Civ (remember that Civ IS me IRL), avoid sexual subjects AT ALL for Lye, do whatever you want to Livic or other characters, and if in doubt: feel free to reach out and ask for permission!

However, as a relatively vanilla furry, there are a few things I'm not as comfortable with. This is mostly character specific as some are different than others, and it's mostly a protection around two of them:

Civ and Lye

They are my closest babies, and thus I'm gonna be a bit more stringent around them.

For Civ, remember that Civ is a representation of IRL me, in almost every way. Drawing Civ is like drawing me. Some more out-there kinks are a bit unpleasant for me, so vore, inflation, BDSM, latex gear, etc. I'm very basic, like REALLY basic, pH 12 basic, so that kind of stuff is uncomfortable for me to be drawn in. I won't like auto block you unless its an issue, but know I may not be as appreciative.

This extends to violence and other stuff as well, I wanna be a cute otter online, not be involved in that kind of stuff. Stuff like events in Echo, including horror and close calls is actually okay though, but don't draw him with his guts spilling out please.

However, soft sexual stuff is fine, and I'm actually a huge fan of implied or environmentally-censored nudity. Speedos are my thing, and relatively kink-free gay sex is free game. A warning would be appreciated but isn't required.

Anything non-sexual or non-violent is absolutely open, no warning required at all. Draw it all ya want!

Lye is a very special cat. Do not draw sexual art of her at all! She is a very unsexualized individual, being very asexual to the extent of detesting sex in general. Kinks are out due to this. The exemption is stuff like "step on me" kinda stuff. She would find it funny or detesting. Example: you draw an art of her stepping on someone. Said someone is horny about it, and she's more like "Oh of course you're getting off to this, you horny devil" while being exasperated.

Livic and Others

Now, with Livic, if you REALLY want to draw a kink or something real crazy that I would not like on Civ, Livic is your guy. He basically exists to be the target of these kinds of things, and he's a guy who'd probably be into a lot of the 'more-interesting' things. This isn't a mandate to draw him that way, I personally will only ever make relatively vanilla art of him, but if you really wanna draw the otter being in a real-fucked situation, he's your guy. He's free real estate.

Doesn't mean I'll be a super big fan of it, I'm still a vanilla person, but at least then I won't feel weird about it. It also means I probably won't role-play interact with it as much.

For other characters, I put them in the same bucket as Livic, in that I don't really mind. They just don't have big "DO THINGS TO THIS MAN" signs around them.

In Conclusion

I'm super supportive of yall whenever you feel like drawing my guys! And when in doubt, just ask me to make sure! Otherwise, have fun art-ing!

Zoe's POV

Double-check everything yet again to make sure we have all the necessities. I literally have no faith in myself when it comes to packing. It's ridiculous at this point. I look at the time, "O, shit. Baby, do you have all the snacks and stuff. That was your job, remember." I yelled out of our bedroom door. I hurry and run back in the room, grabbing our bags and then feeling around for our phones. Sad truth is my girlfriend loses her fucking phone all the time, I have to keep track of it for her. "I think I have everything unless you added something to the list last minute that I don't know about." Redy tells me.

I can already hear the smirk on her face when saying that. I got girlfriend intuition, yall. I don't need to see her face to know what she talks smack in there. I ran back in the room, realizing I had forgotten my sandels. "I see we throwing shade now. Don't make me have to come in there and fix that face for you. It won't be pretty, babe." Now all I hear is silence. Good, she in there think she slick, throwing shots.

Walking into the kitchen, I see her, my beautiful girlfriend. Is she really still packing these snacks after she just told me that we're all set and ready to go. "Wow, so we just lying for free now. Like that ain't even something you got to lie about, Soobin." She looks at me shocked, sitting there with her mouth wide open and stops packing the snacks. Great, now we are going to be even more late.

Redy's POV

I turn around and drop the snacks on the counter. Just to stare at her and she looks at my face and starts laughing. "First, it's never that serious to use my government name. Second, I'm glad you think that's funny. You can be the one to explain to Lia unnie why we were late." She immediately stops laughing. I go back to packing the snacks with Zoe clingy on to my back, trying to get me to change my mind. "Baby, I was just playing like it was a joke. I mean, like total reference vibes, you get it. Like Bada said it, and I mean I'm your girlfriend, so I'm allowed to say it more than she is." I turned around from the bag that I had finished packing during her little run but let her keep going because it's funny. I mean, she is weirdly scared of my leader for some reason.

Lia Kim can be intimidating, well kinda I think. But overall, she is just your average kind-hearted soul. "Baby, I didn't vibe with her when she said it. Plus, it's like an unspoken rule in our relationship. You don't call me but my government I don't call yours. For example, my names for you consist of baby, jagiya, and babe. And your names for me are babe, lovely and my heart. Now tell me where in that you hear anything about a Soobin?" I told her with a straight face.

Zoe's POV

I look at her straight face and lean in to kiss her lips. I mean, I got to get on the tip takes I'd you know what I mean but achieve it. It's crazy. When I watched SWF2, if I didn't already know my baby, I would've really, and I thought we were close in height. Like Bada made her like like one of those smurfs. But she is 5'6 and sadly, Mama gave a girl some ass instead of height, so I'm sitting here at 5'1. Eventually, I realized I spaced out, and Redy had already taken the bags to the car. She hasn't come back, so I get that's her way I saying she is waiting in the car and I have to lock the door. "Typical, I'm dating a child", I had to look around the room and make she wasn't still in here because I don't need her knowing I'm throwing shade after telling her to stop throwing shade.

I make my way to the car to see her there smiling with one hand on the steering wheel and the other in the air. "This hand ain't getting any younger. It needs to be in its rightful spot." I start to jog to the car and open the passenger door and sit down. "You are so dramatic. See you happy now?" I said while placing her hand down on my thigh and locking our fingers together. She just smilies and starts to drive.

See, the girls of 1 million thought it would be a good idea while they are on a little break to go to Jeju Island. I, of course, agreed before Redy could argue her way out of wanting to lay down at home instead. She has been working so hard, and I know she needs this. Even though she refuses to admit it, a relaxtion day with her favorite girl will be like happiness to her. We got to Jeju yesterday and have been staying in a villa near the beach area, so it's just a little ride over.

Kinda didn't wanna go at first because of Lia Kim. Now I'm not saying there is anything wrong with her. Or bad blood between us because we barely know each other, to be honest. I've only met her a couple of times, all during celebrations that the studio has decided to throw. When I first got to Korea, I had no one. When I started dating Redy, she introduced me to all her friends with her being a extrovert the list was huge. But, I love that about her. She tried her very best and still does to include me even when she doesn't have to. Lia just gave off that reserved don't fuck with me vibe. I didn't say anything about it because that's my girlfriends boss, who she looks up to very much. Though, I feel like she is just scooping me put trying to make sure I'm all for Redy. Like, duh I am I fucking love this girl.

We pull up to the beach, and I can already see Harimu and Amy chasing each other. Their energy is crazy. I'm not built for all that. Redy gets out and grabs the bags. I try to take them from her but she side eyes me. "The fuck", I yell out as she runs away to the group. I make it around everyone and start saying my hellos and bowing, especially to Ms. Kim, she ain't gonna catch me slipping. Redy jumps up and starts playing tag with Amy, and then a couple of other members get up to join in the fun. For someone who didn't wanna go in the first place, she is very much not acting like it. "Zoe is literally burning out here. Take off your coat." I finally her Debby speaks up to me.

That's right. I forgot I had this on. "Yea, I sometimes forgot, since I live in my goodies pretty much qll the time". I move to take off my coat, revealing my camisole top. Causing whistles and shouts to come from the girls. "Look at you," Lia finally says to me. Omg that's good she is complenting me. That'd like 33 scored points. Maybe she is cool with me.

Redy's POV

I turn around when I hear Harimu screaming like always, and she zoe taking off her hoodie. I didn't really see what was so interesting until I saw the shirt she was wearing. That fucking sinful shirt. It shows every lesbians dreams in one. The sad part is that my precious baby isn't aware of the effect she has on people. I have to constantly fight bitches off, because of her. I make my way over to the group when I see Lia unnie starting to grill some meat for everyone. Only to see Debby just staring at Zoe's chest. Now I know when it comes down to it, she wouldn't leave me, nor would I. And she wouldn't cheat, so I fully trust her, but looking that dammm good in front of Debby of all people yea, I gotta step in. "Oo, we are about to eat finally." Everyone starts to laugh at me while Unnie points a finger at me playfully. I look at Zoe and push a curl behind her face, and notice she did her edges before she got here. Meaning she had no intentions of getting in the water. She looks up and me and smiles.

God, I know the smile is innocent, but she looks so good right now it's so hard not to kiss her, so I do. I lean it with her, thinking I'm simply pecking her lips and trying to move. I grab the back of her neck and pull her towards me to deepen the kiss. She is startled at first, most likely shy with everyone around, but quickly forgets about them and keeps kissing me. I finish the kiss, and she sits there. He looks all dazed and out of breath and then kisses her forehead. "Oo yess, get it girl", Amy is literally yelling from her spot by the grill while looking at us.

I just continue to stare at my baby, and then I grip her waist. She feels so far away from me. I pull her closer to the point where her legs are touching mine. So I grab that and place them on my lap. I turn to the side and make eye contact with Debby, or more so tried to she just looks away and starts to hum awkwardly. I'm glad someone finally got the message, I think, while rubbing my girls legs.

SAR is not a kingdom, it is a supergroup, and it is supposed to be all capitals. There is a kingdom of Chromista that was first suggested in 1981 as a taxon and was first included in a seven kingdoms model in 2015, and it includes most of the SAR group, but that is different than SAR being a kingdom. The state of science education is in shambles, please at least check Wikipedia about sensational science posts.

I reblogged that one without checking largely because I've seen @quark-nova talk about biology in the past, and they seem genuinely well-informed, knowledgeable, and diligent when it comes to these kinds of things.

That said, sure, it's always a good idea to double-check!

The first thing I did was look at the notes of that post, to see if this had been brought up and addressed already. And, in fact, it looks like there was already some chatter that might help clear this up:

I am not knowledgeable enough this topic to know exactly how accurate this is, but I can definitely look for some context. I checked Wikipedia next, and found that "Sar" is in fact referred to as "SAR Supergroup" there.

It is also, however, noted near the bottom of the page: "As a formal taxon, "Sar" has only its first letter capitalized, while the earlier abbreviation, SAR, retains all uppercase letters. Both names denote the same group of organisms, unless further taxonomic revisions deem otherwise." It seems the two are pretty interchangeable, so I'm not sure why there'd be any reason to criticize someone's use of "Sar" vs. "SAR", at least in this context.

I also checked the "Supergroup" page to try to better understand the difference between it and a "kingdom" in biology, and found that a supergroup is both fairly arbitrary, and "often considered larger than a phylum or kingdom". Again, I am not not sure why the exact term here would be an issue, in that case.

Your claims around Chromista seem accurate to the "Chromista" Wikipedia page, and I can 100% see how that would imply that Sar itself cannot be a kingdom. And also, like, at this point there is just a lot going on here that I am trying to understand through Wikipedia pages (looking at the "Kingdom" page has only muddied this more for me, lmao) and I'm not sure how much better this is than where I started, at a certain point.

I don't have enough context here to know how many people ascribe to which theories & what's considered outdated in the field, but I do have enough experience with academia to guess that either a Wikipedia page is out of date, a theory is out of date, and/or that someone is operating on information given to them in a class that may also have been out of date, niche, inaccurate, or just incorrectly remembered.

Idk yall, I think perhaps the "sensationalist" accusation might be unwarranted here. I think this is, at worst, an honest and fairly harmless mistake in the context of educating the general public. Or maybe it's just a misunderstanding of terminology & theoretical context between the two of you. 🤷‍♂️

That said, I do think this has been an interesting exercise in "fact-checking" and demonstration of how nuanced that topic actually is, so thanks for that! Turns out not every claim can be neatly fact-checked, especially by people who don't know much about the relevant field to begin with.

Sometimes I want to write a sims story but I just canNOT... I seriously despise writing dialogue, I'm more of a descriptive writer, and that's kind of at odds with everything a sims story is lol. the visuals are already laid out, so the writing part is more focused on the dialogue. what your sims say and how and when they say it is just so important. Its more akin to like, script writing and film/TV to me. But maybe that's just the more modern trend. I remember when sims stories were more, a few pics for emphasis and then a shit ton of writing at the bottom of the post (the actual story), and I prefer that for the most part (unless someone is just excellent at the previous method with super interesting fleshed out characters, cinamun for example 🙏). But I feel like the text heavy format is less trendy/aesthetically pleasing and that's why there's less of it now. To be honest, a lot of sims stories i see in the mainly edit + dialogue format just run together for me and don't feel interesting. Theres a lot of bloom and their sims are super pretty because of the editing but I'm like... idk it just doesn't stand out to my brain. I just feel like in the majority I see its just yeah everyone's depressed and breaking up or something (seriously, its always a break up post or a couple having issues haha) and idk their names or traits but I hope it goes well for them ig. you put some bendy looking text on every screenshot and its lyrics to a sad song that reflects your sims breakup oh thats groundbreaking lol. Before anyone starts tho, I think those stories are good and I aint hating, everyone should do what they want and not worry about pleasing old fucks like me for sure. Best believe I was writing those sad songfics myself back in the day (always my immortal by evanescence of course!). You better write what you wanna write and feel good doing it. It is an art within itself and theres nothing wrong with that style, yall are really good at it. Its just not really my personal taste is all. And if anyone has any suggestions for stories that are more text heavy id love to check them out. I'd love to see one a little less focused on romance only if there's any out there. Or maybe some more comedic stories rather than depressing? But I know the story community is as small as its ever been so there might not be any. Idk, don't take this too seriously its just my random thoughts. But I'm curious to know what yall think/prefer and any recs if you have any.

I'm observing too. Either its baiting fans on purpose or its their quirky love language or Jk wants Jm's attention even when he leaves and Jm takes the bait everytime. And its a point made to do it publicly. Esp when we know they have each other's numbers and group chat. Inchresting. I'm pretty sure Jk has a secret IG too and this is how he times posting with Jm the last few times he posted on TikTok right after Jm posted on IG. He wants that connection to Jm. In music. His style. His dance, even when posting. He does it on weverse. Did it on IG, now on TikTok. Its an established pattern. There is no doubt whatsoever Jk sees everything happening with Jm. He told on himself by watching all Jm's content and saying he saw it all, even what he didn't watch with us. His posting after Jm tells on him. His algorithm told on him and played Jm videos automatically and his playlist told on him & played Jm songs automatically. It's interesting to see them keep this pattern up for years though. Number connection, posting back to back. Now Jimin leaving and Jk going live or posting ramen.

What gets me is Jm will make this public post and ask Jk to cook for him, but then turn around and say he hasn't seen him or he hasn't cooked for him when asked. He shoots himself in the foot doing that. Esp when JK told the world publicly already, YOU KNOW I WILL, OF COURSE I WILL DO IT FOR. So we know he is not the reason why its not happening. Same way we know he is not the reason why we aren't getting that Jikook live yet. He is ready to do all that. He was willing to cook it & go live. So if you are being truthful & he didn't cook yet or you didn't go over to get it, why even mention it publicly in the first place, just to turn around and say it didn't happen? Kinda sets them both up. (we know Jm got it though, but that's our little secret). Then we end up with "Jimin has to beg for food, but Jk won't cook for him, but cooks for others willingly blah, blah, blah bullshit from antis). Where was the 'willingly' in ITS2 where Tae basically had to drag Jk's ass out of the chair and annoyed him til he did cook? Straight up pulled the hyung card for food. Willingly flew out the window. He had no choice LOL. IDK, Unless Ramen as in food is not the Ramen Jimin wants or talking about. SMIRKS. IDK maybe I'm delulu and just overthinking everything.

You and Ashido met as soon as you stepped in the door of the UA classroom on day one. It's no secret that Ashido is a social butterfly, she makes friends with whatever person she meets even bullies. After that you had basically been adopted into her newly made friend group. She knows you prefer to be on you own though so she lets you have your space when necessary, but sometimes she will bring you out with a few of the others (not too many as not to overwhelm you). She also speaks up for you so you can say what you need to say and feel heard, plus usually you be spitting facts anyway.

You two hang out one on one as well because you have similar interests. As pink, energetic, and peppy as she is she loves horror movies, video games, and Melanie Martinez (personal headcanon). When everyone moved into the dorms, and everyone comes out for movie nights they dread when it's you guy's turn to pick the movie because they'll be screaming their heads off as you two just gush about the film.

Ashido also likes to take you out clothes shopping. Once it was all over, she ran up to you and hugged you so tight you thought she'd be the one to kill you instead of the villains. When she pulled away you saw her crying her eyes out and she told you how worried she was of losing you. After everyone was taken back home, she confessed how she loved you and how she always wanted to be by your side to protect you.

After things calmed down you two officially started going out. Nothing much changed after that except you two became way more affectionate. Ashido had a lot of cute nicknames for you, teasing you and seeing you get flustered, and loved showing off and making you laugh. You love to run your fingers through her fluffy hair and rub her horns to make her blush for once and compliment her on her fighting technique. There are a lot of stories of people loving their lover "despite their shape", but Ashido loves your body so much the way it is. So cuddly and soft like a human body pillow.

Dates between you two go from having horror movie nights with the class to having horror movie nights cuddled up in one of your dorms together, and if you're at one of each other's homes then expect cooking dates filled with food fights, laughter, and ordering pizza in the end.
