More flame yarn!!!! Both in the ply and the colors!!! I saw this color batt at the fiber fest and truly could not resist my fire fire aesthetic! This one doesn’t have the beehives of the other but I like it a lot still, the silk adds that shine
Just realizing it looks really stretched out on the bobbin . In the skein, it’s much pretty and more relaxed.

I wish they all looked this nice, but in the end they won't even be seen. I will just enjoy the pretty ones while I can.

Alright, this bad boy is up to 85cm! 15 more to go on this side.
I am VERY happy with how it's turning out.

as much as i dislike horticulture's reliance on peat in soil mixes, there's yet to be a good alternative for large-scale growing and uhhhh there are no peat bogs in the US. the entirety of our potting soil supply comes from canada. so canadian tariffs are going to cause some big issues for the industry.

once again in my era of late night updates on finishing crafts my grandmother started. more floral motifs. not knitting for once which is funky! needlepoint flower coasters c:
so far I’ve stitched & assembled the holder & finished up details on the daffodils. & now started on the unworked pattern- i think it’s daisies or black eyed susans? it’s late and im not sure
everything else was her work. i just need to make duplicates of everything besides the tulips

Okay, I did not expect that video I posted to blow up like it did. Thanks everyone!
There were several people who asked about any books I'd recommend. The following two books were the ones that I learned a majority of my patterns from.
Book #1
Tumblr media
More below the cut.
This was the first book I had that my mom got me when I was 11. The directions are clear, easy to follow, and the added illustrations were a huge help. This was where I learned my base 5 patterns; Diagonal,
Tumblr media
Chevron,
Tumblr media
Diamond,
Tumblr media
Lightning,
Tumblr media
and Arrowhead.
Tumblr media
I didn't learn the more advanced patterns until much later, with the next book.
Book #2
Tumblr media
I didn't get this book until my early 20's. It also had clear directions with illustrations and graphs of the patterns to help with the learning process. This was where I learned the more complicated patterns like the Acadian,
Tumblr media
Assomption,
Tumblr media
and Flame patterns.
Tumblr media
I'd recommend these two books for anyone starting out with fingerweaving. I wouldn't be at the skill level I'm at without them.
Anyways, I hope this helps anyone looking to start learning!
