The Democrats Attracted 10 Million Less Votes
Donald Trump won the US presidential election but did not receive more votes than he did in 2020. Harris and the Democrats attracted 10 million less votes and this decided the result. This fact is the crux of the matter and not some convoluted story of America turning red. Obviously, more people turned out in 2020 to get rid of Trump and did not bother to vote this time around for whatever reasons. These reasons could include disappointment in the Biden presidency, indifference, or something else again. The Republican party got their voters out and the Democrats failed to generate the necessary support.
Harris Got Ten Million Less Votes Than Biden Did Previously
52% of white female voters supported Donald Trump and this is a damning indictment on these women, in my view. Voting for a confirmed sexual predator, misogynist, racist, and supporter of the state removing the reproductive freedoms of women is appalling. It is pretty hard to fathom the thinking of these women in the choice between Harris and Trump and how they voted. America is a backward nation in never having elected a female president in its 250 year history as a democracy.

Trump Won With The Same Number Of Votes As 2020
If identity politics trumped most other concerns and a demagogue’s relentless championing of social grievances got him over the line it will be interesting to see how Trump governs. The economics of redressing those grievances will be much harder to manage than complaining about them at rallies. Rounding up and expelling illegal immigrants will be costly in all sorts of ways. Demonising sections of the population is one thing but delivering outcomes that actually work for the white working class whingers will be quite another. Young White Men Feel Like They Are Missing Out The fragile egos of white men, especially young men, have been hacked by the GOP and Trump demagoguery. Scott Galloway reckons that the Democrat party is so focused on minorities that it has neglected the 24% of the population that is young white men. This, according to Scott, has opened the way for the extreme white supremacist and misogynistic BS of Donald Trump to fill a gap and appear far more appealing. The two major political parties are coalitions representing a whole bunch of interests. 333 million Americans, of whom around half might bother voting on a good day. Lots of different demographics make up this enormous volume of people. Pleasing everyone is impossible but it is all about getting a winning majority. Most folk think in zero sum game terms - in that a big focus on black makes white feel left out and vice versa. Big focus on women and men feel like they are missing out. And so on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjwYQ4kIgEw The Last Hurrah Of Old White Men Around the world liberal democrats are feeling despondent and dejected at the Harris defeat. Many of us were banking on a new chapter for the world’s greatest social democracy. The return of Trump is a step in the wrong direction for America and the world. However, victory is often followed by unexpected outcomes for those currently celebrating. The fall of the Berlin wall has not resulted in what most predicted. Liberal democracies have not blossomed everywhere. Power does not always equate with getting what you think you want and deserve. The last hurrah of old white men is hanging on longer than most imagined. LBJ once said, ‘if you let up someone you have had your heel on their throat for 300 years what do you think they are going to do? They’re going to knock your block off’ or words to that effect. This referred to the violence unleashed after Martin Luther King’s assassination during the Civil Rights period in the US during the late sixties. The demise of white power will not go gently into the night, especially in America. Get ready for an ugly and violent second Trump stint in the White House. Presidential hopeful and Democratic presidential candidate, Bernie Sanders, kicked off his California rallies on Friday evening, March 22, 2019 starting in San Diego. Sanders promised thousands of supports who showed up to see him that he would complete the “political revolution” that began three years ago by laying out themes of economic equality for all through justice in racial, ethnic, religious and social unity. Sanders spent the weekend in Los Angeles and San Francisco on what was his first large-scale rally in the state for his 2020 candidacy. — #california #sandiego #everydayusa #fotoperiodismo #photojournalism #onassignment #everydayeverywhere #edca #downtownsandiego #documentaryphotography #berniesanders2020 #berniesanders #presidentialpolitics #2020election #politics #reportagespotlight (at Waterfront Park) https://www.instagram.com/carlosamoreno86/p/BvavzB_gj6m/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=cp7yicfx5nd4

Happy Birthday to Cristina Alger!
Celebrate by watching the 2018 Mr. Media interview with the author of the novel “The Banker’s Wife”! (Conducted by Bob Andelman)
CRISTINA ALGER podcast excerpt: “One of the things that struck me when I was researching The Panama Papers was it was such an heroic and noble effort on the part of all these journalists who realized the story was too big for any one person … I was so impressed by that; so many of these people risked their lives to do this.”

Prompt 3: Implicit Messages
I decided to use my blog response a little differently this week. In the presidential debate for the 2016 election, Donald Trump has done a lot of back-lashing and “wage war” on Twitter. Twitter is a social media but it wasn’t created to talk negatively. Donald Trump is running for president and I don’t believe he should be expressing negativity all over Twitter.
In this article Trump bashes Megyn Kelly for singling him out during the first GOP debate. This isn’t an antic a presidential candidate would normally do but it is becoming a routine for Trump. He uses the internet’s social media to post unfavorable comments to people that he feels are unprofessional. Trump targets Ms. Kelly when she questions his view of women because in previous panels she claims Trump called women “'fat pigs, dogs, slobs, disgusting animals’“ and made other disrespectful remarks. I don’t think this is fair of him to do because she is questioning him on something he said. Ms. Kelly should have a fair advantage to question him on anything publicly announced. This tells people that Trump avoids the truth by calling people names and starting trouble to distract his audience.
I believe that when Trump continuously bashes someone when they call him out on his views is pointless. He makes these poor, senseless comments and makes more when someone realizes his pointless antics. Trump doesn’t have his priorities straight because he doesn’t discuss topics that matter. He knows how to run around the truth and talk about topics that appear appeasing to his audience but has no sincere meaning, which favors how he feels about his audience. He thinks his audience have no values or they aren’t very smart. If he thought much of his audience then he would be more of a role model and talk about helping them and making a better change.
Trump regularly makes pessimistic comments to news reporters, his fellow people, races and cultures and more. His money has a lot to do with this election. I believe Trump is running out of things that he can do and he thought this would be another great opportunity for his own needs. He has so much money and many businesses and organizations that he owns that I wouldn’t think he has a solid purpose to try to be the United States president. Trump is a contradictory within himself. He calls other people unprofessional and then bashes people in his professional life publicly on social media, he doesn’t think anything good of a woman and never gives fair advantages but feel that he should. Although Trump is up a good percentage in the polls, I don’t think our citizens have really looked at what he says that will truly help us, which isn’t much. More citizens need to research and look up facts and they should use the internet positively instead of antagonistic, following in Trumps’ footsteps.

ALL NEW! My video podcast interview with novelist Cristina Alger, author, “The Banker’s Wife”!
Book titles are a bit deceiving.
I received Cristina Alger’s third novel, "The Banker’s Wife," and figured it would literally be a thriller about a banker’s wife. And it is – to a point. But I came away from it excited about the story of a female journalist, Marina Tourneau, who is far more interesting and pivotal than the title character. I want to go on ride-alongs with that reporter, who was Maggie Haberman, Andrea Mitchell and Nicolle Wallace all rolled up in one.
This is a terrific work of continent-hopping fiction and I love the way the character of Marina comes to dominate the narrative and never becomes a victim, never plays the “woman card,” and never needs to turn to a man to fix things for her.
Screw that.
I understand that "The Banker’s Wife" is a sequel of sorts to Cristina’s first novel, "The Darlings," which I probably would not have been interested in based on the title alone, but now I want to go back and read it for a deeper understanding of the characters in "The Banker’s Wife."
