Welcome to another year full of treats, tricks, fall classics, and ghouly fun!

Once again, taking place in Wrightsville Beach, at the Wrightwood Amusement Park and beach landing, the Annual Fright Fest will take place for a total of two weekends this year. Starting from October 19th to October 20th, and October 26th-27th!

ENTRY:

Tickets are 40 for adults, 20 for ages 10-17.

Premium VIP tickets that will warrant you no wait times in lines and discounts on vendors will be on sell for 100 per person.

Doors open at 12pm noon and close at 11pm! Parents be warned that between the hours of 12 and 6:30, the park is kid friendly. From 6:30-11, performers fully costumed will roam the streets. You can expect fog, scares, terrors, and screams to fill the air.

No outside food or drinks are permitted.

No weapons of any kind are permitted into the park.

You may wear a costume, as long as it fits within our restrictions for the park.

You may leave the park, but make sure to keep your ticket to regain entry into the park for that day.

THINGS TO DO:

Most rides will be open and functioning these days for guests to ride.

There will be 5 different locations between Wrightwood Amusement park and Wrightville Beach, in which exclusive haunted houses are up and running. Each location has a different theme ranging from Mad Hatter gone wrong, to Dracula's castle, to a zombie fested and haunted hospital, a haunted cemetery and Camp ground similar to Friday the Thirteenth where you can attempt to escape the one and only Jason Voorhees. There are plenty of experiences to be had!

Feeling thirsty for a taste of vampire blood? Be sure to check out Hell's Bar in Wrightwood Park. They'd be serving up many drinks themed after our favorite spooky classics.

The Haunted Restaurant will also be up and running, offering guests array of scary good foods!

The Tunnel of horrors? Only running after 7, you and your friends can get on a mini boat and travel through the tunnels. Only the strongest will survive.

For the four nights that we are opened, after sundown, there will be a screening for 4 of the following classics. The night of October 19th, the move will be Halloween (1978), October 20th will be Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992), October 26th will be The Addams Family (1991), and October 27th's Friday the 13th (2009).

There will be plenty of vendors between both locations for guests to visit and shop from. Anything from food, drinks, handmade items, face paint, temporary tattoos, henna tattoos, and so much more.

A pumpkin patch will be up and running all four days between the hours of 12-4.

Between the hours of 12-6:30, many activities can be found around the park suitable for children. Curving pumpkins, bobbing for apples, a monster mash, arts and crafts, a Halloween scavenger hunt, and more.

OOC:

This event will take place during the weekend of October 19th-20th and October 26th-27th. However, to make sure everyone gets involved if they so wish to, this will start on Saturday, October 19th at 12 PM EST and end on Friday, November 1st at 12PM EST.

This is more so a mini event to celebrate the upcoming Halloween holiday! Not everyone has to participate in it, but we suggest using it as an opportunity! Especially to get some new threads and ideas going!

You will not have to pause any current or future threads! But we do ask that any new threads about Fright Fest isn't posted after November 1st!

The activities listed upon were just some of the ideas! The sky is the limit here, honesty. Anything that could fit within celebrating Halloween and fall could very likely be taken place here. So, if anything else comes to mind that makes sense, go for it!

If your muses got kids, they would absolutely enjoy this. If your muses like Halloween and spooky stuff, they will absolutely enjoy this. If you looking to be scared or just have some fun with the little ones, go for it!

Vampire! Namor and Tenoch AU prompts! Please tag me if you’re inspired by any of these ideas, I’d love to read it! 💜 Thanks to @okay-hotshot for helping me out with these!

1. “The most accessible veins are the jugular in the neck and the great saphenous vein that runs just under the skin inside your upper thigh” so just imagine vampire Tenoch sucking your blood from your thighs. Would he do that before or after he eats you out? Or Vamp!Namor or Tenoch and period sex, going absolutely feral and unhinged at the scent of your blood and cum. He purposely fucks you on white bedsheets so you can see the bloody mess you two made. The messier and bloodier the sheets, the better. Bonus: He gifts you white dresses because you look so innocent but it’s also easier to stain and ruin you. He would have a corruption kink.

2. Blood rave, blood rave, blood rave! Dancing with vampire Tenoch at the blood rave. Like the scene from the Blade movies. Either you're human who he feeds on like a personal blood bag or you're also a vampire, up to you.

3. To get out of an arranged marriage you have decided to marry yourself to the sea. You weren’t expecting there to be underwater vampires and for their king to take you up on your offering yourself as a bride. Now you’ve been kidnapped by your “husband”. Sort of Hades/Persephone AU.

4. From Dusk Till Dawn AU with Vampire/Culebra! Tenoch. You escape across the Mexican border after a robbery gone wrong and Tenoch is maybe one of the nine lords who has found his own way to obtain blood, through illicit business like his siblings. But he has some of his humanity left and he keeps you around as a toy or blood bag at first, but feels attracted to you over time.

5. Vampires are stealing blood tainted with sedatives and opioids from hospitals. They use this blood as drugs to other vampires. Vampire Tenoch drinks blood that’s spiked with alcohol, coffee, hallucinogens, or garlic because it gets him high/drunk. Vampires can only get drunk if alcohol is contained in the blood of their prey, for example. Distilling human blood with various different flavors is like an addiction. Vampires basically force feed their captive human (that you have or are sharing with another vampire) the food of their choice, then after a while that flavor starts to run all the way through the human’s blood and “spikes�� it. Instead of drinking straight from humans, some vampires prefer blood from the bag, as letting blood cool is the vampire equivalent of cooking food. Oblivious to the little side business you’re involved in, vampires from all over come to your hospital to indulge in the tastiest cuisine and the finest wines.

6. Loosely Midnight Mass inspired: Vampire society have been loyal customers to a carpenter for years. He made the best coffins they have slept in for centuries, and never really got suspicious of so many wealthy people willing to pay premium for the same niche item. As he got old, the vampires try to offer him immortality. Instead the carpenter asks that they save you, his adult granddaughter who's dying. This is how you meet Tenoch. Because you're so sick, your blood is tainted. You can't be bitten or turned the normal way. So he comes to you under the guise of the new town doctor. As you start to feel better, you have no idea the "medicine" he feeds you is actually slowly bringing about your transformation into a vampire.

7. Vampire and human scientists alike have placed a bounty for vampire! Namor to be captured alive. Their reason? He has a genetic mutation wherein he can walk in direct sunlight without dying.

8. Vampires are real, and are mostly employed as librarians. Tenoch is a vampire historian. Unlike most vampires, he decided not to sleep hundreds of years and instead decided to document historical events into books. He now owns a library made for vampires just waking up. You are a vampire. But instead of sucking blood to maintain your immortal life, you are a writer. The more people read your stuff, the longer you live and stronger you are.

9. Vampires are often romanticized, but it's really more of a curse. Feeding not only kills the victim, but attaches their soul to the vampire, effectively haunting them as long as they live. The older the vampire, the more ghosts. Namor is 500 years old and you’re the most persistent ghost he’s ever had haunting him. Most have gotten bored and left by now, but not you.

10. Vampires can't drown. Because of this, many vampires have built a civilization at the bottom of the ocean, away from the sun or any humans. Namor, king of the vampires, is a mutant. He’s the only one who’s still able to walk in the sunlight of the surface world without burning. He’s just successfully brought the sun to his people. Except this one doesn’t burn or harm them. It’s just as beautiful and bright as the one humans have on land.

11. Vampires are real, but humans enacted a powerful ritual millennia ago making them vulnerable to the sun's rays. The vampires fled deep under the sea, where they created an underwater city, Talokan. Desperate for the taste of human blood once again, the vampires are preparing an invasion on dry land.

12. Vampires have returned to the world after their time in the shadows, with the promise to never feed upon humans, lest they too become changed. You, on the other hand, are fair game, due to a rare immunity to the vampire transformation. This makes you a rather hot and highly contested commodity. You spot a vampire who appears to be starving. You take pity on him and allow him to drink your blood. Big mistake. Apparently you have 'good blood' and are given a room in the vampire's underground society. You're treated really well. but you want to leave.

13. You set off with a spare tank, a powerful light and an underwater camera, determined to prove the existence of underwater vampire covens. You’ve held the belief that mermaids are actually vampires that realized the sun could not harm them underwater, but never had the chance to test your theory until now. You were always told never to enter the deeper waters. The Elders said only the shallows were safe, that the monsters never came up this high. That glowing lights in the deep would lead you astray. Why didn't you listen?

14. CEO! Vampire! Tenoch/Namor AU: Suddenly, it dawned on you. The company you work for, Sunsetters, is run by vampires and bad employees aren't fired, they're food for the bosses. Looking at your calendar, your two year review is coming up.

15. You, an ancient vampire, have been fighting a family of vampire hunters for centuries who vow to avenge their ancestor whom you killed. After a little research things suddenly get awkward as you realize that the ancestor in question is actually you when you were a human.

16. As a vampire, I follow traditions. My fiancée is human and just found out that human brides are to be bit to become a vampire themselves. She absolutely refuses to let that happen, and says the wedding is off unless I refuse to bite her. I feel like she's disrespecting tradition. AITA?

17. When you signed up for a dating app with a gimmick around being comprised entirely of cryptids, you thought it was just an in-joke between all of the users. Now you're on a date with a vampire and need to explain that you're just an ordinary human in a way that won't piss him off.

18. You slap Tenoch, your vampire friend, to shock him out of his bloodlust. In return, he frowns at you in confusion and rubs his cheek. "..OW?"

19. Under the guise of a "Monster Hunter" you've been helping innocent vampires, spirits and other oddities find safer homes instead of killing them. When someone happens upon you escorting one to safety, the townsfolk turn on you.

20. Due to extreme air pollution, people have been dying while others have been mutated into vampires. To protect themselves from the sun, the survivors created a modern underwater city and named it Talokan. Years go by, and everything is fine. Until vampires start drowning for unknown reasons. You are the overseer of one of the many underwater labs, and are tasked by Namor, the King of Talokan and all vampires, to investigate what’s causing this strange drowning phenomenon. Equipped with a variety of gadgets and people, you decide to finally activate your long ranged floor scanner.…And see what the hell has been making those noises outside.

21. A catastrophe leaves Earth's surface uninhabitable, forcing mutated survivors to retreat to undersea bunkers. Centuries pass. Civilization is thriving underwater, with a new nation: Talokan. Ruled by their King, Namor, the mutated vampires are now preparing for the first surface expedition.

22. The submarine had run out of power and was now dead underwater. Slowly, you watched your crew mates die of starvation but, for some reason, you didn't die. You survived months, then years on end in a dead submarine. Fast forward 75 years and your submarine is found. Namor follows the scent and finds you alone, surrounded by blood and carnage. Your crew mates, or pieces of what’s left of them, floating around. He realizes you don’t remember what’s happened. You’re confused as to why the bodies of your crew mates are gone or in pieces, unaware of what you did. You have no memory that you’re a vampire. But he knows. You had to feed, and you got desperate. Contrary to popular belief, vampires can feed on all parts of a human, not just blood. He tells you that he’ll help you, but you must come with him at once.

23. Your family is the most prestigious and successful line of vampire hunters in the world, keeping everyone safe from the shadows. Nobody realizes that you are in fact vampires using your position to strike down competition and maintain supremacy over your own kind.

24. A thief breaks into a luxurious mansion...when the local vampire aristocrats happen to have their soirée there. A rich vampire demonstrates their status by publicly drinking a human's blood. A few seconds later, their body corrodes from the inside out. This is the story of the night a scientist decided to test the blood that killed the aristocrat. The plan quickly switches from "steal" to "survive".

25. Tenoch, an aristocrat, invites you, an old beggar woman, into his castle out of concern that you might be a disguised enchantress. In reality you’re a vampire. You just haven’t been able to feed in far too long. You must feed, soon. How fortunate that this man is either unafraid of you or oblivious to the stories the superstitious locals tell. Perhaps he or members of his staff can provide you with some much needed refreshments.

26. A vampire AU where Tenoch/Namor is similar to Count Strahd von Zarovich. He’s in love with the reader, bordering on obsession and possession. Maybe he even killed her past lovers and husband-to-be in order to have her for himself, but this caused reader to either run away and disappear forever, or die. Once every 100 years or so he will meet a woman whom he believes is Reader reincarnated. He always tries to woo her, but his curse is that the woman inevitably dies. So what if when he finds your most recent incarnation, he keeps you under tight lock and key in his castle, in a room where you can’t escape nor hurt yourself. He keeps a very close eye on you, never leaving you alone. If he’s not watching you, one of his servants is. After all this time, he still wants you as his wife. He’ll make you his bride, he’ll plan a huge celebration for your wedding and transformation into vampirism. “My dear, you shall not leave me again! Why do you run!? Come back, my sweet! Give me a kiss!”

As the sun set, the party finally began, attended by numerous costumed merchants at the glamorous venue.

(I wasn't sure at first if a costume party was the right call, but I'm glad everyone is having more fun than I expected.)

Kicho: "Mai, how's it going?"

Mai: "Everything is going well. How about on your side?"

Kicho: "Same. Their feedback on the costumes is especially positive."

Kicho: "Your costume is also a hot topic among them. They said you looked like a real fairy."

Mai: "I'm glad to hear that."

(I heard fairies are a hit overseas, so I used all my modern skills to make these wings.)

(Though it's embarrassing to be the center of attention.)

Mai: "Is there a reason you're in armor?"

Kicho: "It's for business. People from other countries seem to be interested in this kind of attire."

Kicho: "That kid is one of them."

Mai: "You mean―"

Liam: "Warlord Seapánach!" (Japanese Warlord!)

Liam came running up to us at the right moment, with Owen behind him.

Mai: "Good evening. So, Liam, you're dressed as a vampire, and Owen, as a demon. You guys look like the real thing!"

Kicho: "He's been looking forward to today's party and excitedly preparing for it."

The little vampire circled happily around Kicho as he translated Owen's words.

(Nice! It looks like I made the right call.)

Mai: "I'm glad he’s happy."

Kicho: "Yeah. By the way, he wants to see me wield a sword. So, back off a little bit."

He pulled out his sword as he moved away from us.

Mai: "Whoa!"

(I only saw him using a gun, but the way he's wielding the sword is so beautiful.)

I watched his flowing movements until his performance came to an end.

Kicho: "What is it, Mai?"

Mai: "Huh?"

Kicho asked me as he sheathed his sword while Liam and the other guests went to the food corner, set up in the hall.

Kicho: "You don't look like someone interested in swords, so why are you eyeing me like that? Do you have something to say?"

Mai: "That's―"

Mai: "I was just surprised you were doing Liam a favor."

I didn't want to tell him I had been staring at him, so I answered quickly.

(But honestly, I never thought he'd respond to his request.)

Mai: "You're also playing your part in the party."

Kicho: "Of course, that’s my role."

Kicho: "If I make Liam happy, Owen won't have any negative feelings toward me."

Kicho: "At the same time, it will make my other customers happy and increase the success rate of my business negotiations."

Kicho: "I don't care what means I have to take to accomplish my goal."

"I don't care what means I have to take."

That phrase somewhat made my heart ache a little.

Mai: "Well, then, I'll just have to stick around and entertain you."

Kicho: "Why are you talking like that?"

Mai: "You see, everyone is affected by the feelings of those around them."

Mai: "If someone looks sad, I get sad too, and if someone looks happy, I feel happy."

Mai: "That's why I think the party will be more fun if you, the host, are having fun."

Mai: "Above all, I would be happy to be of use to you and entertain you as well."

Kicho: "................."

Kicho: "You're the only person who wishes to entertain me."

Kicho reached for me, a smile playing on the edges of his lips.

Mai: ".................."

He brushed my hair off my cheek with a soft yet sad smile.

(Why is he making this face at the mention of those words?)

(Why do my cheeks feel hot under his touch?)

Before I could ask him, Kicho pulled his hand away from my cheek.

He reached over my shoulder and touched the feather on my back.

Kicho: "This is an elaborate piece of work. It deserves the praise of discerning merchants."

Mai: "Really? I've worked very hard not to ruin your reputation."

Kicho: "The way you put your mind to it and didn't give in is very admirable."

Kicho: "It suits you well. They say that most fairies play tricks on humans, but you're a fairy who helps people."

Mai: "Excuse me..."

He looked so dazzling I had to look away.

Liam: "Mai!"

I quickly moved away from Kicho when I heard Liam's call.

Mai: "You remembered my name. How are you enjoying the party?"

Kicho: "The wacky decorations work well with the costumed merchants and are fun to look at."

Mai: "Hehe, I'm glad! Let's have some more fun then."

I gave Liam the basket I made for him.

Mai: "If you take this and say trick or treat, you'll get a candy."

Mai: "I've already told everyone you can surprise them just in case they refuse to give you candy."

Mai: "That's when you can show off your skills and scare the crap out of them!"

When Kicho told him what I said, Liam grinned mischievously.

Kicho: "Trick or treat, huh?"

Mai: "Eh?"

I quickly turned around when I felt him mumble something.

Mai: "Did you say something?"

Kicho: "No, nothing."

Mai: "Really? But―"

Liam: "Mai, trick or treat!"

Mai: "Waah! Wait, let me just get the snacks!"

While I was scrambling around, the last guest finally left as the Halloween night deepened, leaving the two of us alone.

Mai: "It suddenly got quiet."

Kicho: "That's how lively the party was."

Kicho: "I'll leave the cleanup to my guys. Thank you for your hard work."

He walked up to me as I was about to clear the table and said this.

Kicho: "This party was well received by merchants."

Kicho: "The jack-o'-lanterns made from pumpkins instead of turnips were a hit, as was the trick-or-treating thing Liam did to beg for sweets."

(So that's how the guests felt.)

(It was a gamble whether the people of this era would accept pumpkin lanterns and "trick or treat" clichés.)

From the feedback we received, it looked like they were quite satisfied.

Mai: "At any rate, I'm glad the party was a success."

Kicho: "Yeah. Your work here is finally done."

Kicho: "You can rest in your room now. I’ve already arranged for a palanquin to take you back to Azuchi tomorrow morning."

Mai: "Oh..."

(I see. There's no reason for me to be with him anymore.)

Suddenly, a pang of sadness hit me as I was brought back to reality.

(Maybe I'm feeling sad as a reaction because the party was a success and I had so much fun.)

Mai: "Thank you. Then, I'm going back to the inn."

To hide my dejected expression, I turned to leave the place when―

Kicho: "Trick or treat."

Mai: "Eh? Kyaah!"

He grabbed my arm as I was about to walk away and pulled me to him.

He steadied me with his rock-hard chest as I leaned back, startled.

Mai: "Kicho-san, what are you suddenly..."

(He's so close!)

I looked up at him and was speechless, seeing his face up close.

(He's hugging me right now!)

My face heated up when I realized he was hugging me.

Mai: "Excuse me! It's okay now, so please let me go..."

Kicho: "Trick or treat. Where did you learn that?"

Kicho: "And while you're at it, tell me how you came up with the pumpkin lantern."

Mai: "----!"

My face rapidly lost its color at his questions.

Is it just a coincidence that he's asking me these questions, pinpointing my knowledge from the future?

Unable to say something, Kicho whispered to me in a low voice.

Kicho: “Trick means prank, and treat means candy. Right?”

Kicho: "Here's a deal. If you answer my questions in exchange for a treat, I'll let you go right away."

Mai: "And if I refuse?"

Kicho: "You already know what will happen if you do."

With those words, he breathed softly into my ear, causing my heart to race as I stared back at him.

Isabella: Hogwarts AU

Isabella Grace is a Pureblood witch that was born on the 9th of September 1967 and started attending Hogwarts on the 1st of September 1979, being sorted into Slytherin House.

She had a Blackthorn wand with a Dragon Heartstring Core.

Her Patronus was Non-Corporeal.

Her favorite subject was Flying and her least favorite subject was Defense Against the Dark Arts.

She was one of the Slytherin Prefects of her year, a member of the Frog Choir and eventually Head-Girl.

During her childhood, Isabella was shown to be an optimistic, out-spoken, free-spirited, and fun-loving little girl, who was very attached to her friend Leslie. She enjoyed sewing and gardening and had a comedic nature during her childhood, which was displayed when she scared Leslie by popping out of the tree. But ever since she lost Leslie and realized the true motive behind the orphanage's purpose of raising them; to raise them as livestock for vampires, Isabella's personality went through a drastic change. From there on, everything she did; including becoming a Mama, giving birth to Ray, and sending off the orphans to become vampire food, was the sake of prolonging her own survival to spite the vampires from eating her.

The present Isabella is a sharp-witted, ruthless, cold, manipulative, and deceiving woman. But in her Mama persona, Isabella is capable in putting on a motherly, selfless, and kind-hearted facade whenever she is around the orphans in Grace Field House, and hence was able to earn the trust and love from her foster children. Isabella's behavior is very mercurial, capable of switching between seemingly true affection for the orphans to extreme loathing and threat of violence towards those who defy her. Isabella was unhesitant in taking down those who stand in her way and root out the children that knew of Conny's death, both emotionally, verbally, and even physically.

Another few of Isabella's prominent traits are her high cunning, dominance, and intelligence. As being one of the top Mamas, Isabella uses her intelligence in foiling and sabotaging the orphans' escape plan. She is always shown to be three steps ahead of the orphans' plan and was shown to be quite resourceful, as she depended on her transmitter to track down the orphans. Isabella was unafraid of using her intelligence and position as a Mama to threaten her enemies, as she openly threatens Emma despite knowing it as a reckless and risky move when she seeks to gather information on how Emma and the others are going to escape.

However, beneath everything, she genuinely does love her children, albeit in an extremely twisted way. Due to her own experiences with being an orphan in one of the farms, she reached the conclusion that escape was impossible. So rather than fight what she deemed to be impossible, she instead opted to ensure that the children would at least be able to live happy lives until they were eventually shipped out. The extreme lengths she would go to in order "protect" them and prevent them from escaping is demonstrated when she nonchalantly and violently breaks Emma’s leg, and would then comfort her in her motherly facade as if nothing had just happened. But when the children manage to escape, Isabella gracefully admits her loss and genuinely wishes Emma, Ray, and the other escapees nothing but the best, even covering for their escape while devoting herself to caring for Phil and the other children in the meantime. This shows that becoming a Mama was not solely a means of survival to her - she did genuinely love the time that she spent taking care of the orphans as their mother.

During her reappearance, it is revealed that Isabella has been prioritizing freedom more than anything else ever since she became the Grandmother of the Premium Farms. Her desire to not let anyone rule over her anymore and to escape the wicked farm system became even more amplified ever since she met Peter Ratri. She is willing to put any method to use in order to defeat Peter and the farm system. This includes breaking Nat's fingers and declaring that her children would be disposed of and served as food, all while smiling with depravity; though her acts of cruelty and depravity towards her returned children had been to maintain Ratri's confidence until the opportune moment, at which point the Sisters and she turned their wands upon Peter Ratri and sided with the children. Although she acts as though she is only siding with the children because of their shared interests, truly Isabella retains her regrets and doesn't expect her children to forgive her since she doesn't forgive herself, is fine if they now hate her, and is genuinely touched that they still call her Mom. Even though she knows no good she does will undo the damage she has caused, Isabella vows to live on to atone what she did to her children and becomes extremely protective of them, and is even willing to lay down her life for them.

Vampire Survivors To Become An Animated TV Series

The viral gaming sensation Vampire Survivors is in the works for television. Story Kitchen is partnering with the game’s developer, poncle founder Luca Galante, to adapt the comedic gothic horror video game into a premium, animated television series. In the game described as Vox Machina meets Castlevania, players control an automatically attacking character while fighting against continuous waves of monsters, with the goal being to survive the onslaught for as long as possible. The game is set in 2021 in rural Italy. “There lived an evil person named Bisconte Draculó, whose many evil magics created a bad world filled with famine and suffering. It’s now up to the members of the Belpaese Family to end his reign of terror and return good food to the table,” “There’s no place to hide -all you can do is try to survive a cursed night and get as much gold as possible for the next survivor- before Death inevitably puts an end to your struggles. Mow down thousands of night creatures and survive until dawn! This is a gothic horror action game, where your choices can allow you to quickly snowball against the hundreds of monsters thrown at you.” A search is underway for a writer. The project will be shopped to animated TV network buyers. Vampire Survivors was the winner of the Best Game and Best Game Design awards at the BAFTA Game Awards earlier this month. The game is Steam’s highest-rated video game of 2022, and also named Best Game from Ars Technica, GamesIndustry.biz, D.I.C.E., the New York Game Awards and the Golden Joystick Awards. Mukami Ruki: Cooking Headcanons

How Ruki Cooks

As someone whose favorite pastime, aside from the blank jigsaw puzzle and avid reading, is cooking, Ruki has spent countless decades cooking for his brothers and prepares in a way conducive for producing the least to most messy dishes, aiming for the least amount of culinary instruments needed to be cleaned.

For instance, whilst making his favorite food, soup, Ruki might cut the least messy vegetables such as carrots and celery before moving onto ripe and succulent ingredients such as tomatoes. He also tends to mince the meat towards the end so that he does not need to bring out another cutting board and knife.

Oftentimes, he cleans the utensils while he cooks, especially during the boiling and baking stages. Though that doesn’t mean Ruki won’t task his livestock with taking upon the chore of scrubbing the dishes clean in the sink by hand until each silverware is spotless. The idea is he wants the meal to be a reward so that he may tend to other housework after the dining has concluded.

Needless to say, he only uses the most premium ingredients. Always natural and organic, nothing cheap and detrimental to one’s health in the long run.

The Vampire refuses to use strong spices or flavorful ingredients that would create something too overly saturated for his taste buds since he despises foods too overwhelmingly savory.

What He Thinks While Cooking

While working with the ingredients at hand, Ruki always keeps the core flavors at the forefront of his mind: sweet, sour, bitter, salty, and umami. The most prioritized goal for him is how well-balanced a meal is.

When cooking, the Vampire simplifies and sometimes compromises his creations rather than prepping for a meal too complex to the point in which the abundant spices spoil the whole broth, which he would never allow to happen under any circumstances in the kitchen.

Price and value are other aspects for consideration. For example, Ruki is always looking for the best bargain on the market, as he hates wasting his precious benefactor’s finances. As much as he prides himself on premium ingredients, he also won’t pay more than what they’re worth, only buying them once they reach a new-time low before all the other strategic caregivers and their respective families take advantage of the deal.

Problem-Solving

Honestly, it may sound unrealistically arrogant but this man doesn't encounter too many problems in his culinary journey.

Sometimes he may experience boredom with the same dishes, but his brothers definitely keep him on his toes with their outrageous suggestions and dinner requests.

Because of Kou and Yuma, he finds himself cooking ridiculous gourmet meals as seen on television just to sate their curiosity.

Struggles & Difficulties

Anything fried discourages him at first due to the inevitable messiness of it all. It's for this reason that he prefers methods such as baking, grilling, and even flambéing.

However, that doesn't mean he won't cook fried foods. To mitigate this struggle, he invested in a splatter guard, although usually there is just no getting around the mess.

Rarely ever does the Vampire bake desserts or pastries, so dishes such as layered birthday cakes or freshly filled icings may pose a challenge in the beginning.

Given his European origin, when the Mukami family moved to Japan he admittedly found certain ethnic dishes specific to Asia difficult to master. He finds the cultural nuance rather complicated, however, over time, he slowly got the hang of it with experience over his long vampiric years.

Strong Points & Specialties

Needless to say, his obvious specialties are soups of all varieties as it is his favorite dish of all time. Like he often asserts, it comes in so many flavors and forms that he will never tire of it. Whether it's clam chowder or a savory chicken rice soup, not only does Ruki effortlessly prepare the dish, but also he enjoys every step along the way.

Thanks to Kou's insistent fixation on the dish, Ruki prides himself on his Vongole Bianco, though he is not afraid to threaten the blonde with a complete absence of the meal should he misbehave.

As a chef who stresses the importance of balanced meals and their healthiness, despite being a Vampire, he's esteemed in working with vegetable-loaded meals, partially thanks to Yuma's garden and his connection to his human roots.

Due to living a long life spanning diverse developments of mankind, Ruki has acquired a repertoire of recipes all memorized by heart. He mostly only holds onto his cookbooks as this is how he first learned culinary practices in the first place.

When Karlheinz took the Mukami brothers in, there was plenty of time in Eden to try his hand at various recipes and read them step-by-step without worrying about supply and time management.

It's thanks to these decades of practice that now he is one of, if not the most efficient and innovative chefs one will ever encounter.

Quirky Cooking Habits

Commonly done by many masterful chefs, Ruki finds he no longer needs to resort to precise measurements whilst cooking and instead bases the portions on pure instinct and basic eyeballing without ever suffering the repercussions of forgoing proper units of measurement. Instead, his dishes composed without the assistance of a cookbook result far more scrumptious and delectable than that of those he follows the directions for to a T.

For a seemingly inexplicable reason, he defaults to the front left burner on the stove, most likely because this is the spot that allows him to clean up more easily in the kitchen without having to overextend himself or carry the ingredients and tableware farther than necessary over the tiled floor.

Ruki prefers to hand-wash his cookware considering the risks of automated dishwashers potentially wearing down the finish of the utensils, therefore he enjoys washing them as he can control the amount of water being used to clean them, the temperature, and so on.

Proudest Culinary Achievement

One time his brothers watched a TV program featuring exotic ingredients and dishes which led to them begging their eldest sibling to preparing the very same gourmet meal for them, much to his initial reluctance, but eventually Ruki found the culinary adventure quite enlightening.

Another time is whenever the other three celebrated their birthdays and requested a cake for the commemoration long before they adapted the "Vampires don't celebrate their birthday" mindset.

In all those instances, these were the proudest culinary achievements for Ruki because of the rewarding smiles his brothers wore the moment they took their first bites of his cooking.

For a chef like himself, nothing is more gratifying than seeing the sheer satisfaction upon their faces as they relish in his own accomplishments, dishes and desserts he spent hours prepping for, overcame unforeseen culinary obstacles with such fearlessness, and endeavored towards despite any shortage or simplifications of the recipes in question.

Don’t be fooled by his look of accomplishment, however. More often than not, he cooks a gourmet meal for his prey to feed them just the right ingredients to season their blood into something beyond ambrosial nectar and into the territory of celestial ascendance that one’s taste buds can detect. This is why he puts forth his utmost effort in feeding you only the highest quality of foods: to later help himself to your delectable blood.

Atteso adattamento del popolare terzo capitolo della trilogia sviluppata da Âge, che ha dato origine al celebre franchise sci-fi. Uscita in Giappone nel 2006, la visual novel è arrivata in Occidente solo da qualche anno, sbarcando per PC su Steam, tradotta in inglese.  

La storia del legame tra coloro che combattono in un mondo portato al suo limite. In uno degli innumerevoli universi paralleli che esistono nello spazio e nel tempo, l'umanità ha lottato per decenni un lunga guerra contro i BEETA, ostili invasori extraterrestri, usando delle macchine da guerra umanoidi chiamate Tactical Surface Fighters. È una storia di vita e di morte di un'umanità sull'orlo della sua estinzione...

La regia della serie è affidata a Yukio Nishimoto (The Galaxy Railways, Tsukiuta The Animation 2), mentre la sceneggiatura è curata da Tatsuhiko Urahata (Baki, Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere). Serie animata tratta dalla light novel fantasy dal titolo “Saihate no Paladin”, scritta da Kanata Yanagino e illustrata da Kususaga Rin, giunta attualmente al 4° volume, che ha ispirato anche una versione manga curata da Mutsumi Okuhashi (Hai to Gensou no Grimgar).

In una città in rovina popolata dai morti, lontana dalla civiltà, vive un ragazzino umano chiamato Will. È stato cresciuto da tre non morti: l'eroico guerriero scheletro chiamato Blood, la mummia sacerdotessa chiamata Mary e il mago spettrale chiamato Gus. I tre hanno insegnato al ragazzo ciò che sanno e gli hanno dato tutto il loro amore.

Il ragazzo inizia un giorno a chiedersi: "Chi sono?". Will inizierà a scoprire i misteri dei non morti di questa città. Comprenderà l'amore e la pietà degli dei buoni, ma anche la paranoia e la follia di quelli malvagi. E una volta imparato tutto ciò, si cimenterà nella via che porta a divenire paladini.

Serie animata tratta dal manga ecchi sci-fi, scritto da Link e disegnato da Kotaro Shono, edito in Italia da J-POP Manga e conclusosi con il 12° volumetto.

Ambientato nel futuro prossimo, a Tokyo nel 2040. Reito, un ragazzo che soffre di una malattia incurabile, vuole incontrare di nuovo la sua amica d'infanzia Erisa, decide poi di ibernasi per curarla dalla sua malattia. Quando si risveglia cinque anni dopo, nel mondo è in atto una pesante trasformazione. Il MK (Male Killer), virus ha ucciso il 99,9% degli uomini del pianeta. Questo rende il mondo un harem composto da 5 milioni di donne per ogni 5 uomini.

Solo 5 uomini, "Number" sono resistenti al virus MK. Uno di loro è Reito che deve "accoppiarsi" per il bene di ciò che resta dell'umanità. Lo aspetta una vita da harem in questo mondo pandemico. Serie animata basata sulla light novel fantasy di Shinkoshoto, dal titolo “Shikkakumon no Saikyou Kenja”, giunta attualmente al 10° volume in patria. Dal 2017 ne viene serializzata online anche una versione manga, disegnata da Kansho e Hyoko.

La sua forza è limitata dallo stemma con cui è nato, Mathias il più potente saggio del mondo, decide che reincarnarsi è necessario per ottenere una potenza inarrivabile. Dopo la sua rinascita, il ragazzino scopre di essere nato con lo stemma perfetto per essere il combattente magico perfetto, alla prima prova! Sfortunatamente, il mondo in cui è nato ha degli standard atrocemente bassi in quanto a magia e tutti pensano che sia destinato al fallimento. Ora sta a lui provare quanto tutti sbaglino... alla maniera del saggio più potente del mondo!

Serie animata basata sulla light novel fantasy isekai dal titolo “Gaikotsu Kishi-sama, Tadaima Isekai e Odekakechuu”, scritta da Enki Hakari e illustrata da KeG. L’opera ha debuttato nel 2014 e ad ora conta nove volumi publicati in Giappone. Dal 2017 ne viene serializzata online una versione manga, disegnata da Akira Sawano.

Un giorno, un ragazzo si è addormentato giocando a un videogioco... e quando si è svegliato si è trovato in un mondo di gioco nei panni di uno scheletro! Dotato delle armi poderose e dell'armatura del suo avatar, ma intrappolato nell'aspetto terrificante di uno scheletro, Arc si trova in un nuovo e fantastico mondo. Tutte le sue speranze di vivere una vita tranquilla sono dunque svanite, dopo l'incontro con una bellissima guerriera elfa che lo ha posto su una strada irta d'avventure e conflitti.

L’action love story si basa sul manga “Koroshi Ai” di Fe, lanciato nel 2015 in Giappone e giunto attualmente al 12° volumetto.

La silenziosa e stoica Chateau Dankworth è una cacciatrice di taglie. Il suo obiettivo: Son Ryang-ha, un famigerato assassino noto per aver ucciso 18 ufficiali di alto rango in una sola notte. Ancora oggi, i suoi omicidi rimangono rapidi, efficienti e sanguinosi. Tuttavia, dopo che Son Ryang-ha riesce a sopraffare Chateau nel loro primo incontro, lui le rivela di essere sulle sue tracce da tempo. Il suo obbiettivo: il cuore della donna.

I tentativi di Son Ryang-ha di attirare le attenzioni di Chateau sono a dir poco unici. Le offre in dono i suoi attuali obiettivi, già legati e malconci, facendo di tutto per passare più tempo assieme. Con riluttanza, Chateau asseconda la sua corte, e così inizia il gioco d'amore fra i due assassini.
