Totally understand which is why I put the warning.
Really when her and other people use that term, they are describing a certain type of people that are out there and can be good to learn about, but “narcissist” is the right word for that and it just stigmatizes a word that already has actual meaning as a clinical diagnosis.
But Heidi Preibe is good, she doesn’t talk about narcissists at all
Might check her out, then. But I'm not entertaining the "narcissism" conspiracy regardless of context

similar energy about ib; at my school, if you were taking a full load of HL courses for the diploma programme, you could graduate from the high school without taking civics, health, or personal finance (all three of which were required for the district's non-ib students)...
it is ridiculous the shit ib schools get away w not teaching like please. i did preib and ib so i was doing that my entire hs run and i didn't take a history class past freshman year that has got to be a crime.

u know that quote like "to love someone longterm is to attend a thousand funerals of the person they used to be [...] but it is not our job to hold anyone accountable to the people they used to be. it is our job to travel with them between each version and to honor what emerges along the way" thats reikoga vibes right there. love ur interpretation of koga's aggression as not just being plain "angry at rei for changing" but "faulting himself rei's change," it fits so well :) seeing the different ways those around rei reacted to his change is so interesting; im especially fond of adonis' tree monologue from res. sunday
Omg thank you for your response! I’m honored that you thought my interpretation was worthwhile!
(Quote from Heidi Preibe “This is Me Letting Go”) Honestly there’s a lot that can be said about people changing—the relation to death is present in rei (becoming a corpse), and even in koga who described himself as being wandering in darkness/lost prior to rei (death adjacent phrasing). The connection here is apparently very apt being part of Undead after all. Since death is equivalent to change it’s interesting to consider it in the context of the meaning of Undead which is “even if you’re dying or have died, live” in essence, Undead itself is the journey and honoring of versions of the self. Something that is personal to reikoga but encompasses kaoru and adonis in their own way.
And Adonis’ explanation is wonderful! It’s exactly the truth for many people, that they switch how they present themselves depending on the situation and people. So I imagine that a lot of fans appreciate Adonis’ empathy and compassion--he’s a sweetheart!
Thanks again, I hope this reply suits!

(March 2023) Just met one of my oldest friends for dinner tonight and sitting there in a dingy little Chinese spot, you could never convince me that it's been 10 years since we've done this for the first time. We discussed love, as we were wont to do, and we discussed the future. If nothing else, I can see how much I've grown through his perception of me. I can't stay mad at him for knowing me from 2 years ago more familiarly than me now - after all, she's me too. The version of me in his head was a little more stubborn, a little more pessimistic and I was ashamed of her until he said those were his favourite bits of me. Maybe we will always be loved by the people who love us, no matter what shape we take. It's just like the Heide Preibe poem where she says to love someone long term is to attend a thousand funerals of who they have been. I am a burden to those who love me, and they are my burden to bear. Because we love one another.
(Update:July 2023) Met my friend again (Asian food this time too) and learnt something so distressingly wonderful. I said that he knew the me 2 years ago more familiarly than the me now in my last note. He said he didn't. He said that when he sees me, he can't picture my face from 2, 5, 10 years ago but all he sees is the me in the future. He said he can only picture me a few years from now (short hair still ew) and that's all he's been able to see. I told him that when I picture his face in my head, I see the version of him 5 years ago more clearly than the him now. We both sat and ate our noodles in pure shock. God, I love him so much. We learn so much about each other even a decade into our relationship. I hope that doesn't change.

Activity October
In preIB as well as now thanks to CAS I get up and at least try to be somehow active. I didn’t have the best time lately and my motivation for any activity was really small, but with the help of my dog and a talk with a professional trainer I tried to do as much as I can without outworking my possibilities. I started with short jogs with my precios dog Odi (he helped me get some fun out of it) and I am planning to include small workouts at the gym or at home which were consulted with Łukasz Broź, my trainer after I gain some strength again. While jogging around a small lake I thought how much I need this to get better, healthier and happier.

A reflection of my freshman year in a nutshell (+ Freshman Advice)
Heyyyyy, it’s me againnnnn My last two posts were pretty lengthy and I really do think that they can help incoming freshman so here is it in a nutshell. (If you want more detail, I suggest reading my past posts✨)
1. Ask For Help. Struggling in math, even though you used to be really good? Ask. For. Help. Feeling stressed and mental overload? Ask. For. help. Don’t wait till it’s too late to raise your grades, don’t wait till it’s too late to do anything about your health; mental or physical
2. Don’t have ANY regrets. Tryout for things even if you might not make it. Don’t have the mentality of “there are three more years”. Don’t wait to go to events till junior year (trust me you will have more hw) Start enjoying high school now!
3. It’s okay to make new friends and change friend groups. Don’t just limit your circle to freshman and drop allll toxic friendships. Don’t let people use you! And it’s okay if you don’t have a “gRoUp” yet, just find people you enjoy spending time with.
4. It is OKAY to mess up! Just know that this is your time to grow and experience new things. It’s never truly the end of the world. Tomorrow
5. It’s okay to cry! The workload can be stressful. Friendships and drama might be stressful. Home life. Might. Be. Stressful. Find things that help you unwind and remember that it’s okay to feel frustrated.
6. Start thinking about post-Secondary (But ONLY a little). I knowww it’s only 4 years away but it never hurts to have an idea of what you want to do and possible post-secondary pathways. But it’s also okay to not have a single clue... that’s what high school is for.
7. Your notes may never look like the epic studyblr ones. Your face and body may never be like the Instagram models. IT. IS. OKAY. Love Yourself💗💗💗
8. Some days are just boring.... and nothing happens. It sucks, but it allows other days to be exciting.
9. Do. Your. Homework.... And be nice to your teachers
10. Try to enjoy freshman year... find things that you enjoy because there are things you will hate
I hope this was helpful✨

Not my greatest pictures but.. well I am choosing my IB subjects. Can’t really comprehend how quickly my first year of high school has passed! I finished pre-IB and starting IB in September! Currently can’t wrap my head around it, but I am mostly excited and definitely scared. This academic year was not as challenging as I suspected and I managed to finish with a very satisfying result that I wasn’t even expecting!
If anybody is wondering why I haven’t chosen the LANGUAGE B. I am still wondering whether to take ENGLISH B HL or ENGLISH A : LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE (old English A2). Does anybody have any experience?
Have a great vacation time and enjoy some sun, free time and step away from the books! (TEXTBOOKS, normal books are okay!)

Pre-IB hazing
Yesterday, Pre-Ib hazing took place in Stary Bank in Warsaw near Senatorska. I was one of the co-organizator and I can say that I am very proud of what we did. I think it turned out quite nice but there were some flaws. Pre IB said they enjoyed it and that was our job so I am definitely happy. I have learned a lot during the organisation process. We needed to schedule everything, give everyone from IB a role and prepare everything visually in the Stary Bank in order to make it more realistic. I’ve enjoyed working with my friends and helping my school community.

Hey, so I'm starting the pre ib dp course (I don't even know if that's how you say it but oh well) next year and I'm super psyched for it but also kinda scared. Do you have any tips to help me with the Ib or study tips or anything you think is useful? Thanks! :)
best advice is just study, do your best, make sure to manage your time wisely. it’s stressful but if you study enough it’ll be quite manageable. it gets harder when you are in ib1 so i’d also recommend studying ahead a bit for the harder (probably hl) subjects once you've picked your subjects

Underwood would approve (or not)
Most of adolescents considers politics boring and I must admit I didn’t find it much alluring either. Nevertheless, when my classmates were preparing to take part in Model United Nations conference again, I decided to join them. I’m not going to lie, I did it for social purposes only. In such conference students obtain roles of particular country’s delegate and discuss matters of given councils. Doesn’t sound like fun, does it?
Surprisingly, it was. First of all, I met some wonderful people. It was quite noteworthy to look at all those people fully committed to something like this. Even though we discussed sometimes ridiculous ideas, no one mocked it. We were serious about that, while having fun.
Next, speech skills. Surely mine got improved, along with language level. Having to smartly answer tough questions concerning one’s country policy and coming up with smart questions to others simultaneously is quite a training.
I also get to know some things about political situation around the world and I feel like my diplomatic skills also got improved. I noticed how much depends on few people. They decide about everything. As a delegate of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, another useful skill I learned was to represent views completely different from mine. It was rather refreshing to ‘get in their shoes’ and try to understand their point instead of criticizing it right away.
I really enjoyed this 3-days conference in Kraków, undoubtedly I have gained a lot from this experience. I never thought I would enjoy participating in such event and now, I have already signed up to MUN conference in Łódź, which, people are saying, should better organized and a lot more going on.
