The Tree Banshee theory

This is a theory predicting the role of Spooky Month's most enigmatic monster, one many fans might not even know about yet, so sit back and enjoy!

Watching HS for a second time, Gregor's pose here stuck out to me, so I went back to check my hunch...

Well, for that, we turn to the movie theatre, many fans know about the demon priest poster that foreshadowed HS back in TT, well we see a very interesting poster for a second in episode 6

"The Forest Sight", huh?

Now for the clencher, we turn to an image from the arg

The same eye patterns, and a ghoulish being I've come to call the Tree Banshee, you might remember it for it's scream in TT or for an illustration of it in the book from the TT arg.

I believe this entity also somehow benefits from sacrifices made to Eyes and that it will be a/the major monster of a future episode, which lines up well with my idea of Roy's episode being about him chasing Skid and Pump into the woods, where they get lost.

1. A Wintersend Tale

Rook has to save the holidays from one of Ghillie's creations. Includes ridiculous winter outfits (and hats!) for the whole crew, a special romance cutscene, and a side plot where Rook learns how to have that true Wintersend spirit from Manfred, Spite, and Vorgoth.

2. Hearts of Stone

Harding works with Dagna to figure out how to give the dwarven people their groove back.

3. VORGOTH

I don't have a description for this one, I just need more Vorgoth and maybe something about wtf he is since EMMRICH DOESN'T KNOW.

4. As The Crow Flies

A trip to southern Thedas to see how Inky and their LI is doing. Good opportunity to make digs at Lucanis about why the Crows don't visit the south much.

5. Davrin/Harding is not dead but they are blighted af and you enlist the aid of a somniari to ask Solas how to do Blight-jutsu.

6. An Adventure with Nadia and/or Drayden

I'll settle for someone at least realizing that they have ALL MET THE TWO OF THEM and having a little dialogue.

MY personal prediction for if/when the QSMP returns is that it wont be a reset, or a timeline loop, but itll be a NARRATIVE loop

Similar NPCs, similar plot, but different players, different plotlines, different ending, different island

Quesadilla island was an experiment, as was vacauus island (? is that where madagio came from?), and in all experiments you need to do them over and over to make sure its replicable. So my idea is that its a repeated experiment. it wont be totally the same, the people wont be the same, but the past wont be erased, and maybe one day we'll see quesadilla island again as well :')

I am begging ALL OF YOU, Good Omens fans, to listen to this song by Jesca Hoop (a lovely American singer-songwriter and guitarist), from the album "Memories are Now", released in 2017.

The Coming, huh? What a funny coincidence, right? Almost like the Second Coming?

And then it starts like this:

The song is dark and poignant, but more importantly - it is written almost like someone was plotting for a possible season 3. It's actually uncanny, how much it fits.

A quick artist background check: The narrator mirrors Hoop's struggles with religion. Raised traditional Mormon, she grew up singing hymns, and at 16 years old she lost her faith and stopped attending church. She describes the experience as freeing: she has "faith in people".

Overall, it's all too easy to imagine the narrator as Aziraphale, but we'll get back to that in a moment.

Let's focus on Jesus first. Analogically, in the song, he loses faith in himself, and refuses both Heaven and Earth to fulfill the prophecy. Jesus makes an interesting choice of alliance; he sits by the Devil. In a fit of desperation? fatigue?-- asks the advocate of Hell to help him become someone new. There's something beautiful about them being familiar, sitting arm in arm, almost friendly in the exchange. Jesus "was tempted for forty days by the Devil" (Luke 4:2), and he firmly refused then, but he goes back now: to his only salvation left.

The Devil doesn't get much characterisation, but we know he agreed to the terms. "The coming never came."

Now, back to the narrator. They're quite honest and self-aware of their role as an obeying servant to Jesus or/and God (as in Holy Trinity). In a world full of sinners it's necessary to keep people at bay, because not everyone can be saved. There's "only enough room at his table (...)/And they're coming to shut the gate/You're too little and too late". A strong implication of humans being a nuisance, a collateral damage in God's plan.

"But I don't buy it."

You see, the narrator has a strong motivation that they mention almost immediately after realising that -- good people are not getting in through the gate.

The best friend. We can assume she's someone very dear, and probably not that involved in religion. She doesn't deserve damnation, obviously. (Hello, Crowley.) Nobody does. Heaven doesn't really care about that.

The point is: they don't want to offer to save her anymore. Playing God's hand in this relationship would be an insult, condescending and belittling to her character. It's easy to be a soldier with nameless people, isn't it? Personal connections make all the difference.

There's also a little passage about not blaming your parents for "clinging to the good", which hits another personal note on the forgiving front.

The narrator is terrified of losing their sense of identity. It's a painful and slow process. Who are they, without the religion? How to fill the God-shaped hole in the heart, where it has grown large and uncomfortable, been there for ages?

The answer is: with other people.

The collective work of humanity on the matter of free will has an major impact on Earth. Our little choices contribute to the goodness as a whole, and it's not dictated nor defined by Heaven. No, it's all our doing. And we can make it a good place without religion.

Oh, and look at this. "Asking any kind of question could unravel me with one small fray"?

Pretty self-explanatory.

The song ends on an accusatory tone - at the religious figures who are mistakenly interpreting Jesus's teachings, justifying their fear-turned-hatred and "wrongdoings in his name". The narrator is scared personally, but outright - they're furious. Unable to ignore the horrifying unfairness of it all. The wars were never the intention of Jesus. He wouldn't sign another contract for massive destruction.

As a confirmation, there's a loop, a repeating of the first verses. The coming didn't came. Jesus is no longer a passive marionette on the strings of Heaven. He gives away the thorn crown - a symbol of his suffering for humanity's sins - and refuses to collaborate. He becomes an individual, maybe a different entity altogether. Needs some help from Hell, sure, but it works out in the end. No more wars. No more Heaven deciding who is worth it, and who isn't. It's just-- people, and their everyday lives.

If that isn't THE song synopsis for season 3, I don't know what is.

Analyzing the SM6 cast line up teaser

More fun for the non-patrons as a height chart of episode 6's characters dropped and I have *thoughts*

Before we delve into the analysis, be advised that this will reference my SM6 prediction post, which can be found here.

And out last bit of preface

These three new characters teased in an earlier update are hereafter referred to as the businessman, the new mortician and the cat lady.

Bear that in mind.

So here's the 2 lined height chart, so let's start putting names to these blobs!

Line 1: The Thieves, Lila, Skid and Pump, Susie (she's pretty hard to see, but you can mostly notice her shirt and hair), Mr. Wonder, Jaune, Jaune's Husband (who was shown in full in an earlier update).

The next figure at first appears to be another shadow, but upon closer inspection seems to be Father Gregor, after that we have;

The Cat Lady, Dexter (likely in another missing ad or for his body being unpossessed, if for a moment), Patty, John and Jack, then we have the first totally new character, a massive person (taller than Frank, making them the new tallest human in the series) who brings me to my first new theory:

This character, whose proportions are highly evocative of a cartoon vampire, will be either yet another new mortician, or in charge of the hospital's blood bank. Funnily enough, this actually matches weirdly well to a half-joking conversation me and @crossover-enthusiast had the other day.

Line 2: Skid and Pump again (for reference), Ross, Robert and Roy, Kevin, Radford (in his teased casual outfit), the actor in the Happy Fella suit, Mayor Evermore, The New Mortician and then... Roy's Uncle??!?!

This might be my biggest validation yet, as I've had a thought for some time of us first seeing the New Demon in hell, torturing the Uncle, if this ends up being true, I am officially the king of the SM fandom!... Where were we?

Oh yeah, we then have; Ignacio, The Businessman, Frank and yet another totally new character, a portly person I have no solid theories on.

Before I leave, I'd like to mention some characters who are missing here (other than Moloch and any other supernatural characters who might appear). Those being; Lucky, the Actor and Actress and Rick.

Rick is the only notable outlier, as he's a relatively major character, so where is he?

Well, I think Rick's absence is quite simple to explain. While not outright confirmed, Rick is heavily implied to be working at Gonuts in episode 6, meaning he's wearing a new uniform. I think Pelo just didn't want to spoil this, and so left Rick and his new outfit out of the line up.

And that's all I've got! One last note before we're done here, I'm pretty sure next week's update will be the episode 6 trailer, so there's that.

If the rumors about getting two mainline Pokémon games this year turns out to be real, then that means that the Metroid Prime 4 rumor is real, too. And I won't be normal even if I'll try.

predictions for next year?

I don't usually do full-on predictions, but Ranboo going from They/He to either "Any" or explicitly adding "She" to the options is pretty up there for the moment. I feel like that one has been in the air for a while.

Okay I haven't screamed in this site in awhile so have this:

I think the Best Friends need to win the tag-team titles before they win the trios titles. They said that they were going to go after the Gunns (who WERE the tag-team champs... not anymore but it still counts), so they obviously want the titles. And with this growing feud with the HOB, it's also obvious that they want the trios titles.

Now I think they need the tag-team titles before is because the power inbalance in the best friends. Because of Orange's International Title he's more respected than anyone else in the best friends. Chuck + Trent have barely had any meaningful matches this year (yes the year's just started but shh) while Orange has been having matches left and right. There's also some obvious tension between the BFs (Trent vs Orange, and then Orangehausen teaming while the BFs weren't cleared). SO! If the BFs get the tag-team titles they'll be on the same page as Orange (2 belts per person), and it might bring them closer and whatnot. The HOB are known to be very loyal to one another and work so well together, so if the BFs get on the same level as Orange, it might bring them closer.

Of course, what they really need is some thearpy and long conversations and not championship belts because those are temporary, and we're not going into the psychological aspect of their problems.

And then another option is Orange loses the International title, but we're not gonna look at that option because it makes me sad.
